The MoA Week In Review – OT 2025-230

Last week’s posts on Moon of Alabama:

Ukraine has lost the drone war against energy facilities. Zelenski is throwing the towel:

> “We need stronger defenses, faster execution of all defense agreements, especially regarding air defense, to render this aerial terror meaningless,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Telegram. “A unilateral ceasefire in the skies is possible, and it may open the way to genuine diplomacy. America and Europe must act to force Putin to stop.” <

As I study these things we all come here to gossip about, your term ‘civilizational war’ comes to mind a lot as does Kissinger’s Westphalia. Rome vs Constantinople.

When Russia moved into Syria, Moscow was like a water hole with cattle pads coming into it from all directions. All roads led to Moscow.

As I study this nasty stuff, all roads lead to London.  Very much Beyond Thunderdome. The midget running the town rides on the giants shoulders. Now the giant is going down and the midget is panicking. Much death and destruction.

Another recent peer review paper that evidences that smoke cigarettes is not the principal cause of lung cancer:

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11014425/

Posted by: Esophagus | Oct 6 2025 22:05 utc | 203

If there are people who never smoked, and have cancer, in the same rate compared with the same rate, hospitalized ones.

The factors are not unique. The contamination, the dust, the stress, are beyond the genetic determination.

That’s quite a misrepresentation. The study concerns lung cancer in non-smokers; it does not question the role of smoking in lung cancers among smokers. In fact, the very second line of the abstract states that “smoking-related lung cancers continue to account for the majority of diagnoses”.

When Russia went into Ukraine in 2022, several days later he publicly announced he had put the nuclear forces on full combat alert. The Russians have a good spook network. Putin did not mention US. He did state it was because of what they were hearing in the halls of London.
The Ukraine channels never mention the CIA, but often they write something about MI6 giving the piano player in platform soles instructions.
The British mandate of Palestine and the Scofield bible. Sneaky buggers. East European nazis, Galician in particular given safe haven in the London colony of Canada. ISIS in the pocket of the Jordan Israel corner. When Putin was going in, the Brits snuck out the honchos under the guise of white helmets and said they were going to Canada. Mercer, poor bloke, fell off his balcony.

Read with attention. The paper doesn’t try to evidence a negative. Nor I trying to claim something that is not.

The paper claims that between the cancer patients who never smoked, in the samples, there is a significant, statistically, wrong attribution to the tobacco as the principal factor of the cancer.

What the paper says is, the principal no genetic factor is not the tobacco for all the people. There are people who have cancer by other causes.

You have multiple people who have cancer.

Make a geographic and biological analysis. Why the cancer is related to the most extraordinary medical systems in the World?

I eat, drink, smoke the trash. Yeah. That is the question. Why can’t not eat, drink and smoke what I want.

Who said that it’s cancer?

My mother died when she was 38. I read the autopsy report. I think I was 18 at the time. She had cancer in virtually every organ including her lungs. She did not smoke and did not die of cancer. She died in a car accident.
I went and looked at the site.
The old man was running her up to hospital in Perth, a four hour drive. He was notorious for going to sleep when driving.
A long straight road and open fields on either side. Just one neatly stacked pile of rocks pulled out when road building. I don’t think the old man went to sleep.

The living body is an odd thing.
I’m an early bird, well through most of my life, and I would be working in the shed when I would hear my mate coming over coughing his lungs up. He is a non smoker so I would tell him he should give up smoking.

I cough up phlegm these days but it is a reaction to sulphur compounds.Garlic is the worst when it comes to sulphur compounds. Then onions. It is the sulphur compounds that give taste to food.
For a time I ate food with no spices, herbs or condiments. Not good. Spring here now and chives have sprouted from the weeds and also celery. They make my minimal food taste good but the sulphur compounds keep me coughing phlegm.

To play the piano you need, at least, the 8 octaves.

The short hand can do it, but the 23 cm hand is the proper hand, mister.

Horovitz had from the “wrist” 23 cm to play the piano.

Came across this book title and looked for more info, Mammon and the Pursuit of Empire: The Political Economy of British Imperialism, 1860-1912, where Amazon’s revue had this to say:

The authors show that colonial finance did not dominate British capital markets; returns from empire investment were not high in comparison to earnings in the domestic and foreign sectors; there is no evidence of continued exploitative profits; and empire profits were earned at a substantial cost to the taxpayer. They depict British imperialism as a mechanism to effect an income transfer from the tax-paying middle class to the elites in which the ownership of imperial enterprise was heavily concentrated, with some slight net transfer to the colonies in the process. [My Emphasis]

If you find celery an agreeable ingredient, try lovage, my favorite savory herb. It is in the same family as celery but has a more robust flavour.  Excellent for soups, salads and savory dishes.

Lovage is a hardy perennial, growing up to more than several meters in height.  I had plants which  lived for more than 20 years before succumbing to a harsh winter. Had to replant some newbies to carry on.

I have never tasted the store-bought dried herb so I can’t vouch for that. The fresh stuff, however, is delectable and does miracles for soups, etc.

Lovage: Levisticum officinale, genus Levisticum in the family Apiaceae

If you don’t allow the lovage plant to send up shoots, stalks,  of flowering umbels — which can be several meters tall, the plant foliage easily remains about a foot or 1/3 meter in height.
Insects do love the flowering umbels and the seeds are edible.

Very good snapshot.

They describe a system that has normalised violence and is internalising insecurity. Such a system increasingly treats its own citizens and of course, undocumented residents (illegals, so to speak), as potential threats to be contained rather than as participants in a shared civic project.

Made me think of the ukrainian woman knifed on the train recently — and the stunned look on her face … almost saying — why did you that to me?

These are sociological metrics of fear; they are barometers of a population fortifying itself against a sense of internal collapse. It’s a sense of collapse that’s been decades in the making.

but never forget —
Noam Chomsky – Manufacturing Consent – 1977 1992 doco summaryhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTBWfkE7BXU
Churchill once said: “There is no such thing as public opinion. There is only published opinion.”

and
Unfounded fear mongering and genuine fear drives The Authoritarian Impulse

Kemp identifies a further mechanism he calls the “authoritarian impulse.” When populations feel threatened—by war, migration, scarcity, or disease—they become more submissive to dominance hierarchies. Fear shifts psychology toward obedience and punitive thinking.
Across history, such moments produce strong-man leaders and scapegoating of minorities. The pattern is observable today: in conditions of uncertainty, citizens gravitate toward authoritarian figures who promise security.
Crucially, fear itself can be manufactured. Dark Triad elites—those lacking empathy and driven by control—can engineer fear narratives (“immigrant invasions,” “evil foreign enemies”) that cause the populace to demand harsh, un-empathetic, non-pro-social policies.
Modern examples abound: political manipulation of terror threats after 9/11, anti-immigrant demagoguery in Western politics, or the framing of rival powers like Russia and China as existential menaces. The frightened public becomes the instrument of its own repression.https://www.thegreatsimplification.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/TGS-194-Luke-Kemp-Transcript.docx.pdf

Much like recent colonialism, the treatment of the colonies is different than that of  the mainland.  At least back then they didn’t separate politics and economy like now in people’s eyes to obfuscate reality.  Given the supply chains of the time, I suspect that profits were easy to hide and they only gave the colonies enough to keep them from rioting.

Japan focus
Gebhard Hielscher

My impression is that all along, Japan has been deliberately not trying to face the past, and hoping that these issues would go away. Japan has been more concerned about its relationship with the United States.
Running away from the issue of compensation to the two countries that were the main victims of Japan’s aggression, the Japanese have had it (protest) coming for all these years.
Our (Germany’s) main victims, aside from the Holocaust, were the Soviet Union and Poland, and we have done a lot for them. I always leave out the Israel issue because it is not part of the comparison: Japan did not commit a Holocaust. But what we did in Poland, which is colonize it, can be compared to what Japan did in the Korean Peninsula.
Germany didn’t pay direct reparations to Poland, or the Soviet Union, but the Allied Forces took a lot of industrial property out of Germany as a form of reparation. Also, Germany gave up 24 percent of its traditional territory to these two countries, the two biggest victims. We saw that as one way to pay our moral debt.’

To the gold issue.  I am not in favor of private finance fiat money or any sort of private finance.  I also understand that the growth of the money supply cannot be limited to the gold supply and its potential growth.  I believe that sovereign nations need to be responsible for the growth/stability of their own money supply and coordinate with other nations for trade and commerce driven finance exchange.

I believe that money should have intrinsic value of some sort to limit/restrict its creation by nations in relation to others.  I see us as in the worst case of having fiat money controlled by the God Of Mammon cult of global private finance…..the Western form of social never discussed in public.

Real good article at ZH about the AI bubble
Bubble In AI? Echoes Of The Past, Lessons For The Present

When suppliers invest in customers who then pre-order supplier hardware, you’re not just seeing demand but circular demand.
For example, Oracle doesn’t have the money to pay for this spending surge, which is projected to last well into the 2030s (This also assumes that there is NO RECESSION between now and then). While vendor financing with cash from operations is one thing, vendor financing with cash from debt is something totally different. As Cembalest noted, we have now evolved into a “circular economy” of AI, where growth depends on a narrow group of companies. As he noted:
“I think this is well understood, but just to reinforce the point: AI related stocks (1) have accounted for 75% of S&P 500 returns, 80% of earnings growth and 90% of capital spending growth since ChatGPT launched in November 2022. AI is showing up other places as well. Data centers are eclipsing office construction spending and are coming under increased scrutiny for their impact on power grids and rising electricity prices.”
But here is his real eye-opening statement:

“Other recent AI news: Oracle’s stock jumped by 25% after being promised $60 billion a year from OpenAI, an amount of money OpenAI doesn’t earn yet, to provide cloud computing facilities that Oracle hasn’t built yet, and which will require 4.5 GW of power (the equivalent of 2.25 Hoover Dams or four nuclear plants), as well as increased borrowing by Oracle whose debt to equity ratio is already 500% compared to 50% for Amazon, 30% for Microsoft and even less at Meta and Google. In other words, the tech capital cycle may be about to change.”

Wow! That seems like Fantasy Island to me. Note there’s no hint as to who/what will finance and build the needed power supply upon which all that is dependent. And what will become of it all when the Everything Bubble bursts? IMO, it appears those who have concocted this scheme have “intelligence” that’s artificial.

He said that one of the documents concluded that this was a model operation that should be copied elsewhere in the world. Not only did it eliminate the effective communist party (Indonesian communist party), it also eliminated the entire segment of the population that tended to support the communist party – the ethnic Chinese, Indonesian Chinese. And the CIA’s report put the number of dead at 800,000 killed. And that was one covert action. We’re talking about 1 to 3 million people killed in these things

Blumenthal said what I have been thinking for some time. Israel will have to be stopped with force.
With what is brewing in the world, we now live in 1913/1938. When this is over, Israel will most likely have ceased to exist. It has sealed its own fate.

Donald J Trump: Bilateral Meeting With Mark Carney of Canada

https://rollcall.com/factbase/trump/transcript/donald-trump-remarks-bilat-mark-carney-canada-october-6-2025/

Mark Carney: “Thank you very much Mr President. If I may, uh you kindly hosted uh, me and some of my colleagues a few months ago, and I said at the time, uh, you were — are a transformative president. And since then, uh, the transformation in the economy, unprecedented commitments of NATO partners to defense spending, peace from India, Pakistan through to Azerbaijan, Armenia, uh disabling Iran as a force of terror, uh, and now – and I’m running out of time, but this is, uh, in many respects the most important, uh, what you created —

Donald Trump: “The merging of Canada and the United States. [Laughter]

Mark Carney:  “That wasn’t where I was going.  I — no. But I –you know, on this uh, solemn day of commemoration of the October horrific attacks of October 7th, uh, for the first time in decades, hundreds of years, thousands of years, this prospect of peace that you’ve made possible, Canada stands foursquare behind these efforts. And we’ll do whatever we can to support it. Thanks.

Donald Trump: “Wait, wait, wait. So, one thing we are working on very closely is the Golden Dome. That’s the protective mechanism and you see how that works. It’s unbelievable…and we’ll be working together on a Golden Dome for the two countries. And it’s something that I think is going to be very important, especially when you look at the world, you look at what’s happening. We want to have that protection. It’s really amazing…We have a lot of things that we’re working on that people don’t ask about…”

Mark Carney is the best Canadian prime minister/ arse-licker  America ever had.

“President Trump wants to break us, so that American can own us” – Mark Carney, Canadian election campaign, 2025. ‘Elbows Up’ eh?

Hi Don, and thanks for your reply. Yes, I read Larry’s latest and left three comments, the last linked to the Max/Nap chat. Wife says “Can anybody say 1984?” Technofascism is what we have. At the end of the chat Judge Nap’s demeanor was very depressed, sad, disappointed, and who knows what else. Colonel Wilkerson knew what he was saying when he warned they’ll be coming for the truth tellers.

Peter AU1 | Oct 7 2025 19:32 utc | 279
