Humanitarian aid is still not allowed into Gaza from the North crossing points, causing mass starvation in the Gaza city neighborhood.  Aid must be shipped up the north, a difficult proposition because the road system has been destroyed by the IDF. 
Again the IDF has never obeyed one single ceasefire agreement in Gaza or the West Bank or Lebanon or Syria – not one since 1947.
By the way the supposed Hamas attack on the IDF that killed two soldiers at Rafah, was in reality a US made IDF Cat D9 Armored Bulldozer destroying Palestinian homes when it uncovered an unexploded US made bomb, which ten detonated.  No attack, just another incident in urban destruction.

You can not imagine the level of depravity that would allow that to occur…….but remember the IDF murdered over 20,000 children in the last two years.
And the latest report from UNHCR states that 98% of all agricultural land in Gaza has been destroyed by deliberate IDF actions (basically again using US made Cat D9 Armored Bulldozers to destroy all the orchards and vineyards and pasture lands.

It seems like that the goal is to create a West Bank like situation in Gaza: Israeli controlled 58% will be developed; Israeli settlers will be allowed to come in to these areas. The rest of Gaza will contain the Palestinians. Movement of goods and people will be controlled by Israel, as it is already being done. Access by sea from outside will be prevented. There will then be “creeping expansion” of this 58%,  just like it is happening in the West Bank.

The ICJ (The Hague) has extended Israel’s deadline to present evidence rebutting the claim that they are committing genocide until March 2026, after previously granting them an extension until January 2026.
 

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague has granted Israel another extension to submit its evidence in response to South Africa’s argument that it has committed genocide in Gaza. 
 
In an order dated 20 October and published on Thursday, the ICJ said it has accepted Israel’s request to further extend its deadline by two months to 12 March 2026, after an earlier extension to 12 January. 
 
The ICJ’s original deadlines for the two states to deliver their written arguments were 28 October 2024 for South Africa and 28 July 2025 for Israel to file its counter-arguments, known as “counter-memorials”. 
 
South Africa complied with its deadline, but Israel in April requested an extension of six months, which South Africa opposed.
 
The ICJ compromised, granting a five-and-a-half month extension to 12 January 2026.
 
Israel then sent a letter to the court on 14 October, asking for a second extension of at least five months.
 
Its representative explained that some evidentiary issues related to South Africa’s submission remained “unresolved” due to “the status of a number of documents referred to via hyperlinks which had not been annexed to that pleading”.
 
Israel added that another reason for its request relates to its devotion of “significant attention and resources” to engage with the court on the Advisory Opinion on Israel’s humanitarian obligations, which the court delivered on Wedesday.

If foreign countries send peacekeepers they might be seen as maintaining “Israeli” occupation of Gaza, however also impeding further aggression.

If they are not present then it is “Israel” and US, whatever they choose.

Stabilisation of the situation, especially for Gaza proper, with entry of goods and aid, as well as observers, journalists, and others to able to record the circumstance, is probably the better direction.

If we say the ceasefire is understood to be permanent, then it is not likely Hamas will try to break it.
