Lately there’s talk of Putin’s betrayal. In Iran certain members of parliament and former diplomats are talking about Russia’s betrayal of Iran in the recent 12 war. There’s talk about Iran’s betrayal of Hezb’Allah during the Labanese invasion. 
 
What do they all have in common? No mention of the US or Israel. Funny that, don’t you think?

The discussions here resemble the “international community” neglect of the essence of the Palestine problem and the impossible situation created by the genocide and the Trump “peace plan”. 
 
US/Israel are well on their way to achieving their goal – the appropriation of Gaza and the WB, which will be under US/Zionist control whatever the guise and rhetoric. They are also on their way to destroying Lebanon in order to get rid of Hezbollah. They are informing  the world daily what they are doing, so comfortable are they in their unimpeded advance !
 
The “international community” is not doing absolutely anything to prevent their plans becoming reality, and it is doing nothing to stop the expansion of Israel on the whole territory of historic Palestine which has always been Palestinian. The repercussions of US/Israel actions and the passivity of the “international community” together with active support by a part of that “community” are digging a gave for humanity which will become slave of US/Israeli tyranny and domination. 
 
The truth can not be hidden, even if it is being ignored  –  US/Israel and their various support clubs are feared by all and are free to do whatever they want and use all means, genocide, proxy wars etc , every possible deception, and crime,  to achieve the goals they no longer conceal – “peace through strength” – total domination whatever the cost for everyone else. 
 
Fighting for the Palestinians and Palestine with all means political, economic, diplomatic, legal, media, including military, would have stopped the US/Israel onslaught.

That is the only relevant matter in this day and age. If I remember, Vanessa stalled slightly when asked why Russia did not support resistance front but acted towards discapacitating Hezballah and Iran in Syria, also appearing to favour gulf alignment in Syria.

Maybe she was being diplomatic, i.e. Russia found itself without ability to confront western direction, or was complicit and quietly maneuvering with “Israel” .

Neither of those could be considered masterful, at best a realpolitic, a failed one given refusal to even recognise genocide, let alone sanction against it.

I suppose if you consider Russia holding position at a world table where open atrocity is permitted, as some kind of achievement, then you might be correct.

However I think most people understand that as some kind of a loss.

Important to follow Security Council discussion tomorrow:  UK, US and France bringing forth proposal for “international” security force to police the Gaza ceasefire.  Netanyahu is being requested to abstain from carpet bombing Gaza while this issue is under discussion.  Hence, the mantra “The ceasefire is back on!”  despite the fact that rampant killing of Palestinian women, children et al was very much happening prior to the Rafah explosion.  Few, if any, observers would anticipate that the current Likud government is agreement capable.  Furthermore, aid supplies were essentially being blocked with only a very small amount of the promised daily number of aide trucks; none independent of Israeli “inspection.”  Graphic images of an Israeli toddler in a stroller, parked in front of a line of aide trucks.  Promised Turkish support and equipment for locating bodies under the rubble to expedite return of bodies of hostages as well as the probably thousands of Palestinian bodies was firmly banned by Netanyahu and company.  No commentary by Trump, Kushner and Witkoff regarding these violations – the latter of which would give some real information regarding the numbers of the dead in Gaza. 
Security council discussion should be very interesting.  The plan itself is not reported as under discussion – and, of course, their is more than one version of the plan, since Netanyahu was busy rewriting the plan while Trump was signing.  Hamas, managing the actual governance of Gaza, not invited as a signatory.  Not sure who signs for Gaza, if anyone.

Latest realistic estimates are that the IDF suffered 5000 KIA’s, and 20,000 WIA’s in the two year conflict.
That is a huge casualty figure, greater than any previous Israeli War without a doubt.

Arch and I have posted nearly daily the tally of IDF loses, based on combat footage and other sources, such as the IDF retired General complaining of 10,000 casualties per month since the IDF invaded Gaza. 
 
One example – the IDF lost more than 250 Merkavas D E S T R O Y E D and around 700 damaged. Many more APCs and IFV were knocked out of action. One tell that this is roughly correct is the IDF uses thin skinned vehicles in hot zones. 
 
Combat footage shows the IDF is a divided, demoralized military. Example; the infantry refuses to support the Armor. The IDF conscripts and weekend warriors make the same noob mistakes over and over AND OVER AGAIN. Beaucoup IDF have been sniped simply because they were bird dogging out of windows.  They have nil training, and the IDF doesn’t appear to do lessons learned. 
Blind Rage Atrocities are the hallmark of Defeated Militaries. Been so since the dawn of time. see Rape of Manila and General Yamashita. 
I stand by my estimate of the last 24 months:

Israelis don’t give a $hit what anybody says about them or about Israel. They have a powerful well-funded military with a nuclear strike capability that they are crazy enough to use. They have wealthy Jewish donors with almost unlimited resources. They or their supporters own/control US Politics, Hollywood, US mainstream and social media, Google. They’ll do whatever they want; kill whoever they want; steal whatever land/resources they want. Because they can. Based on what Vanessa and Laith (and Jamari Thomas, the interviewer) said, my view is that Russia’s actions in Syria were driven by the following considerations:

1. Inability of Russia to handle two fronts against the West made them decide to withdraw from Syria (taking into consideration the increasing support required in face of sanctions and economic hardships in Syria).
2. The “neutral” attitude towards Israel (in Israel there are 1 million jews of Russian origin) required making major compromises which undermined their  position in Syria (we all remember how Russia did not attack Israeli aircraft when they were bombing Syria; Israel in turn was avoiding hitting Russian assets; Russia looked the other way when Israel were taking our Iranian personnel from Damascus, including from their embassy).

In their report “This is How We Fought in Gaza” (https://archive.org/details/ProtectiveEdge), one Armored Corps soldier described how “after three weeks of fighting, a competition developed between the members of his unit—who could succeed in hitting moving vehicles on a road that carried cars, trucks and even ambulances.” He tried shelling a taxi, ambulances, then more vehicles. He knew they were civilians.
