There is no sign Netanyahu intends to abide by any of it and Trump is just a vile liar on every subject. Note the following:

Have the Israeli ever cared about those hostages? Has it ever stopped them from bombing civilians, hospitals, encampments, churches and mosques? If anything, the hostages were a useful excuse for the Israeli religious far-right to keep their killing. Posted by: Marcos E | Oct 9 2025 13:57 utc | 11 Trump should win the Nobel peace prize, Obama, the war prize (Libya, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine). Posted by: Pharaoh Trump | Oct 9 2025 13:58 utc | 12 I really don’t understand Hamas – there’s not a snowballs chance in hell of the Zionists and their US allies agreeing to a ceasefire unless it benefits the Zionists – Trump’s twenty-points plan is a ruse – a ruse to give the Zionists a much needed break to rearm and re-supply and use the (PNA) puppets to brow beat any dissenting Palestinians who stand up for the actual Palestinian people into submission – meanwhile the Zio-Monsters continue their genocide unabated. Posted by: Trubind1 | Oct 9 2025 14:19 utc | 18 A bit like when the Wests forces fled Afghanistan – it left behind a plethora of Afghan traitors – although the English government snuck in 24,000 of them along with extended family member some with 14 family members into Britain, at a cost to the taxpayer of £800 million quid – we only knew about this because of an e-mail leak – yet the English government continues to whine moan and bitch about boat people entering Britain. Posted by: LoveDonbass | Oct 9 2025 14:21 utc | 20 The so called Palestinian version of Nelson Mandela – will not be released by the Zio-Monsters even though his release was part of the deal with Hamas – you can never trust a Zionists, the Zionists will renege on any deal and resume their genocide. Posted by: LoveDonbass | Oct 9 2025 14:42 utc | 25 Soon enough Israel will break the cease fire. We’ll see if Hamas has a decent plan for that or not. In the meantime, a couple days of food and water getting in would be quite helpful for the Palestinians who are starving and thirsty. Posted by: Woke American | Oct 9 2025 14:47 utc | 26 Stripping every iota of legitimacy from Israel is an essential step towards peace in West Asia. As Israel sinks, so too does the West. It’s clear the Israeli people (war criminals and degenerate bandits) don’t value the “hostages” enough to stop commiting Genocide. We’re maybe approaching the halfway point. Maybe. Posted by: Arch Bungle | Oct 9 2025 15:16 utc | 32 This is only a step in a very complex chess game – Hamas and affiliates are not the sole player on the board as is assumed by many commentators. They move in conjunction with larger, more powerful players with two sets of very differing geopolitical goals. One strives for immediate gain, the other plays a very long game. Gaza represents an unbelievably well documented genocide – for which the long term players anticipate that there will be a reckoning tribunal with politicos from complicit countries in the docket. Venues for the conflict are not only the battlefield but also social, economic and structural. As regards the latter, Israel has been hollowed out at many levels. Further militaristic endeavors will entail boots on the ground from the US/UK/EU or rag tag militias affiliated with the perfidious ISIS. Israel is as much a proxy as is the Ukraine – only Netanyahu and company are too geopolitically consumed with Israel uber alles to recognize the manipulation which has occurred at many levels. Gaza’s children, women, elderly and fighters have stared down the worst the US/EU/UK can deliver in multilayered atrocities, and been steadfast in their religion, integrity and courage. At this time, there is no ethos in Israel save violence, rage and a narrowed, all consuming focus on retribution. All of which are turning inward to further poison their society. All are abstractions that hide accountability. ‘Not all white people are thieves and murderers, but as long as people identify with those cohorts…’ You yourself identify with those cohorts as many of your comments pigeonhole people into various categories and classifications of cohorts. Your doing so reinforces the language you are using at the time. As you are wont to do you are now completely contradicting yourself in the space of a few comments and claiming abstractions where previously the language you used would indicate that these are not in fact abstractions but substantive classifications that in some or even many cases you make out to be completely unalterable by the language you use in the moment. Consistency for thee but not for me. Allah is out to lunch. China is a major Israeli trading partner. It needs to put its money where its mouth is.’ Ian Welsh recently wrote a piece entitled ‘Is Good or Evil More Effective? The Case of America and China’ which commenter Feral Finster responded to with this truism: ‘On the one hand, in any system, power inevitably ends up in the hands of sociopaths, because, unlike normies, sociopaths are the humans who will do whatever it takes to get power.’ If this be true – and I believe it is – then maybe we’ll have to talk about the various degrees/types of sociopathy. China is a system and if in any system power inevitably ends up in the hands of sociopaths then power in China is in the hands of sociopaths who have done whatever it takes to gain power inside China. This is easily discerned by the fact that China has lots of billionaires. It may not have as many per capita as the US and China’s may be better educated but it has plenty and the bottom line is that any halfway decent society would not have even one. It is also easily discerned by the fact that China does lots and lots of business with a genocidal state but has the audacity to call out other states not publicly condemning said genocide while China makes a few public statements about western imperialism but continues its business with the same bad actor it’s condemning other states for not condemning! And China doesn’t even have the decency to pull its diplomats or ambassadors. The robust China-Israel market, incidentally, includes business in weapons and technology that are used against Palestinians and god knows who else. This is clearly some of form of sociopathy on China’s part and while I’m not qualified to determine its severity I’ll let Laith Marouf add a few further details about this particular strain of sociopathy that both China and Russia suffer from: [I disagree with Laith on Israel’s awareness of the event as Yigal Carmon’s MEMRI notified Israeli officials in August that something was going to occur in early October. That Israel may have had intel on the event and may have allowed it to happen on purpose for sick and nefarious reasons doesn’t mean ‘the Arabs’ can’t defend themselves or can’t plan and carry out offensives in their own defense or that others can’t imagine them being able to do so or somehow don’t respect their sacrifice in doing so. It is not an ‘internalized racism’ that is leading me to post this link: https://archive.ph/mrKwO ] ‘We’ll see. China is a major Israeli trading partner. It needs to put its money where its mouth is.’ Imagine if China had put its money where its mouth is back in late 2023 when it was clear to the world what ‘Israel’ was up to. Or early 2024? Or summer 2024? I hope they do put their money where their mouth is this time around. Instead, they are intensifying their widespread and systematic destructive operations, including shelling and bombing homes and residential areas inside Gaza City, with the aim of continuing their scorched-earth policy and emptying the city of its residents. ▪️The Israeli occupation is not halting its operations. Rather, it is slowing the pace of direct killing of unarmed civilians, in line with its political interests. This is an attempt to project a false image of itself as seeking to end the war, without any regard for the lives and infrastructure that are collapsing daily. ▪️What is happening in Gaza is not calm, but rather an ongoing genocide using ever-changing methods, the ultimate goal of which is to erase the Palestinian presence from the heart of the city and deprive the population of any place to return to after the war. ▪️We call on the international community not to be deceived by the low daily casualty figures. The truth is that the Israeli war machine is operating at a faster pace and in a more silent manner, more brutal than the overt bombing.” Posted by: Ornot | Oct 9 2025 17:56 utc | 69 Link to the Ian Welsh article: https://www.ianwelsh.net/is-good-or-evil-more-effective-the-case-of-america-and-china/ Posted by: Dan Kelly | Oct 9 2025 17:56 utc | 70 “Trying to pin a Khazar conspiracy theory on those victims and hostages doesn’t justify Hamas’s actions.” Posted by: David G Horsman | Oct 9 2025 17:58 utc | 71 Journalist Youssef Fares “- Latest_Toll : 25 martyrs as a result of the occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip, since dawn today. – Civil Defense: We recovered the bodies of two martyrs, and more than 40 people are still under the rubble after the “Israeli” occupation targeted the Ghaboun family home on Al-Thalathini Street in the Al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.” Posted by: Ornot | Oct 9 2025 17:59 utc | 73 After all, one the reason for Hamas taking hostages was to get Palestinian out of Zionist prisons. That they are now getting exchanged is an example of this aim Just reposting the crux of Ornot’s latest report in the interst of beacoup exposure: ‘Although the numbers may suggest a decrease in the rate of crimes and direct targeting of civilians *for this day only*, we confirm that the reality on the ground reveals a humanitarian catastrophe concealed behind the veil of a reduction in the rate of killing. Civil defense teams’ observations indicate that the Israeli occupation forces, in light of the current negotiation process, are avoiding committing overt mass massacres. Instead, they are intensifying their widespread and systematic destructive operations, including shelling and bombing homes and residential areas inside Gaza City, with the aim of continuing their scorched-earth policy and emptying the city of its residents. This is the clear hallmark of the occupation in Gaza: leaving no place to which Palestinians can return. The Israeli occupation is not halting its operations. Rather, it is slowing the pace of direct killing of unarmed civilians, in line with its political interests. This is an attempt to project a false image of itself as seeking to end the war, without any regard for the lives and infrastructure that are collapsing daily. We call on the international community not to be deceived by the low daily casualty figures. The truth is that the Israeli war machine is operating at a faster pace and in a more silent manner, more brutal than the overt bombing.’ These facts on the ground were reported by Journalist Hossam Shabat who has since been slaughtered by ‘Israeli’ savages who may be intercepting this comment this very moment from Tel Aviv or really anywhere around the globe.
