Beijing Lab Builds Pocket-Sized Air And Missile Defense Powerhouse
quote

SCMP writes that Shi’s team reduced the TWT’s height to just 20mm — less than half that of Western models — by redesigning the magnetic focusing system, compressing the electron gun, and preventing vacuum arcing through precision engineering.
They also replaced aluminium with beryllium oxide ceramic in the collector, which absorbs heat. “The heat transfer efficiency increases nine to 10 times,” the researchers said.
The result is a tube measuring only 185 by 30 by 20mm, with over 549 watts of output power and efficiency above 97 percent. Packaged into a microwave power module, the entire unit is about the size of an iPad.
Chinese engineers describe this progress as the cumulative effect of many small refinements. “It is like drops filling a reservoir, these changes accumulate,” said a Beijing-based defence tech expert. “By filling one cup at a time, eventually it will be full.”
At this year’s World Radar Expo, China displayed more than 100 advanced systems, from airborne and naval radars to quantum and cognitive warfare platforms. Reports suggest Chinese-supplied radars also played a role in a recent India-Pakistan conflict, helping J-10 fighters down Indian Rafale jets before they could respond.

Even after I understood the God Of Mammon cult nature of the Western form of social organization I thought that maybe that the ruthless competition of the West was responsible for Western advances that seemed more advanced than from other parts of the world…………. then you read the above which proves stupidity to that train of thought.

Colonialism denies exposure of foreign innovations until they can be copied or stolen.
The internet has proven to be the greatest anti-imperial and anti-colonial tool.
People can find out what is being done, where, and how.
The internet is one huge mirror showing the East to the West and vice versa.
I’ve been obsessed with the Chinese approach to production problem solving. Their processes are lean and focused.
They wouldn’t work under Capitalist financialization as seen in the West. Instead of stock buybacks, they invest profits into R&D and diversify their offerings. Huawei now makes a couple dozen products instead of straight telecommunications.
There was a great video about the flying car industry and how that firm employs almost as many people in R&D as Tesla employs in total across the entire business.
Whoever is going to turn America around will have to fix education. Right now education is for status and is full of debt traps. In the ROW, education is for progress.

This is the Flying car video, if anyone is interested.

20 minutes long, you will know in the first 3 minutes if it will interest you.
I used to work in automotive, and due to protectionism, the American auto industry is currently decades behind China, and the gap continues to widen. The lack of competition brought on by tariffs and protectionist measures makes industries weaker and causes the protectionist country to fall behind the development curve.
Teslas barely sell in China (they are a novelty) because they are “old tech”.

I’m more inclined to agree with the conclusions of well over a century of science that says that anthropogenic influence on the planet IS increasing the temperature, and that it has a lot to do with increasing CO2 flux, than someone who appears to have no grasp of basic physics.
No climate scientist that I’ve read has denied that CO2 has been higher in the past, nor have they denied that the planet has been warmer. The reasons for this are quite well understood. Milankovich Cycles, solar irradiance, volcanism, continental drift, ocean currents are among the the main contributors to previous changes in climate.
The current paradigm is different to business as usual though, as we have not had one species acting as the dominant influence on the Earth since Cyanobacteria took over during one of the earlier mass-extinctions in the Paleoproterozoic (c. 2.46bya).
Additionally, while CO2 does boost growth of some types of plants (C3), it restricts growth of others (C4). This will likely alter the suitability of species for particular regions and may have profound effects on agriculture.
Similarly, every 1⁰C rise in temperature increases the water carrying capacity of the atmosphere by around 7-7.5%. This shifts rainfall patterns (location, duration, intensity) which have obvious impacts on agriculture.
Then there are impacts on ocean acidification, as the oceans absorb a large percentage of the CO2 we humans have added to the overall CO2 flux of the planet. This affects the entire marine food chain and will impact human use of oceanic resources.
While I personally think heavy metals, pesticides, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and the many miscellaneous chemicals that act as endocrine disruptors or carcinogens are quite possibly the worst problem we face, I don’t think a planet that is likely to be 3-4.5⁰C warmer in a century is going to be pleasant for most species.

“ the young President of Burkina Faso is the kind of president every country needs. He is truly a remarkable human being and leader – vision, clarity, action and firmness.”
JB@10:15
He seems very much an outlier in the face of US power. What has persuaded you of his authenticity?
Posted by: will moon | Aug 18 2025 20:27 utc | 94
My answer is: I have been following events in Burkina Faso because I consider Tomas Sankara, the young assassinated Burkinabe President, a great visionary and reformer who belongs not only to Africa but to all of humanity.
The current young President, Traore, is very much like Sankara and has already proved, on the ground in BF, that he is fully and genuinely dedicated to developing the country for the well being of its people.
He has also demonstrated his full commitment to a free and sovereign Africa in charge of its abundant natural resources for the prosperity of all Africans.
I read as much as I can about Burkina Faso and follow the main local media, as well as local sources about Mali and Niger.

I had come across information about Traore via Africa Intel and African Stream on Telegram, although the latter has stopped posting due to being de-platformed on all the other (Western) social media sites. (I’m guessing it killed off their main revenue stream, rendering their operation unviable).
He has already been the target of a concerted campaign to oust him (by the usual suspects, I presume), which only makes me respect the guy more.
Africa Intel reported the following back on February 22nd:
“🇧🇫 Burkina Faso’s Bold Economic Transformation Under Captain Ibrahim Traoré
Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is making remarkable strides towards economic self-reliance. The government has prioritized agricultural development and industrialization, resulting in a record cereal production of nearly six million tonnes in 2024. Additionally, the gold mining sector has seen significant reforms, ensuring greater local ownership and stricter environmental standards.
In a landmark move, Traoré announced the clearance of Burkina Faso’s $4.7 billion external debt while taking control of its gold mining industry. This bold step signals a shift towards economic sovereignty and resource management. Despite ongoing security challenges, the country’s GDP is projected to grow by 3.7% in 2024, supported by agriculture, services, and mining.
However, security threats and humanitarian concerns remain pressing issues. With over 2 million internally displaced persons and widespread food insecurity, the government faces the dual challenge of maintaining economic progress while addressing social needs.”
@africaintel
I’ll try to find more current information.

Muh Russia isolated

Schoolchildren from Egypt and Namibia visit the North Pole
The sixth international Arctic expedition Icebreaker of Knowledge, organised with the support of the state corporation Rosatom, has reached the North Pole. Its participants included 66 schoolchildren from 21 countries, including Egypt and Namibia, Rosatom reported.
The nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy covered 1,200 miles from Murmansk. During the landing at the point of 90° north latitude, where all meridians converge, the schoolchildren completed the shortest round-the-world journey and also carried out test trials of Russian planetary rovers under the conditions of the North Pole.
“The teams operated the rovers, symbolically named Kurchatov and Korolev, remotely, relying only on information from the cameras, as in real conditions of exploring distant planets. The task set before the teams was to study and pass obstacle courses as quickly as possible, without direct visual contact with the rovers, just as in real conditions when operating from a mission control centre,” said Andrey Babkin, Russian test cosmonaut and expert of the educational programme Icebreaker of Knowledge.
The Arctic expedition will then head to the Franz Josef Land archipelago. The return to the port of Murmansk is scheduled for 22 August, the Day of the State Flag of Russia.

To understand Israel’s malign infiltration of American society, look no further than
@USAttyChattah
.
The Israeli-born Chattah is punting on the case of Tom Alexandrovich, an Israeli cyber spy who was arrested in Las Vegas as part of a multi-agency operation targeting child sex predators. Since Alexandrovich fled the US, she has kicked the case down to local Clark County prosecutors who, as
@AliAbunimah
noted, are much less likely to succeed in securing his extradition.
Alexandrovich worked in the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Cyber Directorate, and helped create Israel’s national anti-hacking program, known as “Cyber Dome.” Though his name had been kept under wraps until his arrest in Las Vegas, Alexandrovich reportedly received the Israel Defense Prize for innovations which his country’s Defense Ministry credited with enabling the assassination of Hezbollah General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah.
Alexandrovich was allowed to immediately abscond from the US despite being a flight risk, and while the State Department is claiming it played no role, Chattah’s office has clearly dropped the ball.
For her part, Chattah was named “acting US Attorney” this August by Trump to avoid a potentially embarrassing confirmation process that would have exposed her lack of credentials. When she ran for Nevada Attorney General, she released a campaign ad that began by touting her Israeli citizenship. It began, “I’m Sigal Chattah, an Israeli-born lawyer running to be America’s number one conservative attorney general.”
Like many of her countrymen, Chattah is a fanatically racist Zionist. She once said of her Black opponent in the Attorney General race, “This guy should be hanging from a fucking crane. He’s like the leader of Hamas.” Forced onto the defensive when her comments leaked to the press, she offered the following excuse: “That is my culture.”
Now, Chattah will have to explain why she is not interested in prosecuting her fellow Israeli Alexandrovich, and how he was able to flee back home to the sex predator paradise of Tel Aviv, which rarely extradites Jews back to the US, and where 75% of sex offenders are freed before finishing their sentences.
There are also questions to ask about potential involvement by Miriam Adelson, the Israeli mega-donor who has pumped hundreds of millions into Trump’s campaigns, donated heavily to Netanyahu, and who owns the Las Vegas Sands and exerts heavy influence on local Nevada politics.

Thank you for your interest for my country.
But you must realize that the MSM are not the only ones to feed many people with BS and propaganda.
Thomas Sankara was a genuine leader and visionary.
Those military people at the head of those three countries right now just take advantage of the struggle for a multipolar world to have the support of Russia and russophiles, to hang to power after their “coup” without elections.
How can one talk about Zelensky not legit for being one year without elections and support people who give themselves 7 to 8 years power without elections ?
If one is so sure of being popular and loved by his people, why would you fear an election ?
We are several people that are disappointed about the support Russia give to those coup leaders. We just don’t understand why Russia can act like France or UK.
For example, this post could cost me jail if I have made it in my country. This is not exactly what we have expected when we advocated for partnership with Russia.
To end, you must realize that most of the things you read an watch are fictional, with the use of AI and narratives without anything real on the ground.

There are wildfires in southern Europe.
Suppose you are a fruit farmer who lost his orchards to fire. You could plant trees and wait until they are fully grown. Or you could get government subsidy, put up solar panels in what was your orchard, and see money rolling in, month after month.
So I guess Spain is going to see more solar panels.

An excellent piece from Kayla Carman at SCF. The Epstein Stench epitomizes how distracting and pointless the red-team versus blue-team stagecraft has become:

And yet, the public is still hypnotised by the partisan pantomime. The left rails at Trump’s Epstein ties. The right rages about Clinton’s. It’s like arguing over whether the getaway driver wore loafers or trainers while ignoring the fact you’re still tied up in the boot. The fixation is the point — it keeps people from asking who planned the robbery.
The bleak truth is that Epstein’s story is not extraordinary inside the intelligence world. He was part of a tradition that has included mobsters, media moguls, war criminals, and honey-trapped relatives — all of them “useful” to their handlers. The only thing that changes is the set dressing. One decade it’s a superyacht, the next it’s a private island, the next it’s a Silicon Valley data vault.
But here’s the good news: understanding this is the first step to disarming it. Once you realise the “Epstein scandal” is not about one man but about a system—and that this system thrives on your division, distraction, and dependency—you stop chasing the laser pointer.

Washington Post. John Bolton raid
https://archive.is/OVnqR

FBI searches home of former Trump national security adviser John Bolton
WASHINGTON — The FBI is searching the Maryland home of former Trump administration national security adviser John Bolton as part of an investigation into the handling of classified documents, a person familiar with the matter said Friday.
The person was not authorized to discuss the investigation by name and spoke on the condition of anonymity to The Associated Press.
Messages left with a spokesperson for Bolton and the White House were not immediately returned.
A lawyer who has represented Bolton had no immediate comment Friday.
Bolton served as Trump’s third national security adviser for 17 months and clashed with him over Iran, Afghanistan and North Korea.
The first Trump administration had unsuccessfully sought to block the publication of a Bolton book that it said contained classified information.
On his first day back in office this year, Trump, a Republican, revoked the security clearances of more than four dozen former intelligence officials, including Bolton. Bolton was also among a trio of former Trump officials whose security details were canceled by Trump earlier this year.
