Moon of Alabama Brecht quote
August 14, 2025
Some Thoughts On The Upcoming Summit

After reading some 20+ pieces about the upcoming Trump-Putin talks I still have no idea of what the outcome might be. Trump's uttering about the talks and Ukraine are, as usually, all over the place.

There seems to be some agreements already between the parties. If it were not so there would be no summit.

The Russian side is aiming at much more than Ukraine. The size and high ranks of its delegation is otherwise unexplained:

The Kremlin aide noted the very high level of the Russian delegation, which he said would include Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Ushakov himself, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and Special Presidential Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries Kirill Dmitriev, who has been a key figure in the Ukraine settlement process.

“In addition to the presidents, five members from each delegation will participate in the negotiations,” he said, adding that “of course, a group of experts will also be nearby.”

There are nuclear weapon agreements that need an update and renewal. There are development opportunities in the Arctic and other economic aspects where both sides could win.

In fact, I suspect that there will be no decisions about the war in Ukraine.

The U.S. side knows that the war is a lost cause. Russia holds, as Trump has said, all the cards in that game. Whatever Trump does or says the war will be won on the ground by Russian forces. The best for him is to pull the U.S. out of the conflict and to leave the problem for the European vassals to solve.

For Russia the summit will be a big win even if there were no outcome. It has proven to global majority that it is reasonable and willing to go the extra mile to meet Trump even on U.S. territory. After this there will be no more pressure from China or India to stop the war.

In 2014 the United States (aligned with a faction in the Ukrainian government) conducts a coup in Ukraine.
Many in Eastern Ukraine rebel against the coup-government.
A civil war begins.
The coup-government claims authority over all of Ukraine.
The coup-government sends in the military to deal with the eastern rebels.
The media (Jews) claims that the US backed coup-government has a “right” to all of Ukraine and they champion a march to the Russian border.

WHAT IF? WHAT IF? WHAT IF? WHAT IF?
In 2014 Russia (aligned with a faction in the Ukrainian government) conducts a coup in Ukraine.
Many in Western Ukraine rebel against the coup-government.
A civil war begins.
The coup-government claims authority over all of Ukraine.
The coup-government calls in the Russian military to deal with the western rebels.
Of course, to be consistent, the media (Jews) claim that the Russian backed coup-government has a “right” to all of Ukraine and they champion a march of the Russian military to the Polish border.

Morning rounds US networks … from Berlin Stefan Meister: Putin wants whole of Ukraine, will use free territory as a springboard for future attacks … identical to bs in earlier interview with Merezko. Idiots.

Stefan Meister, an expert on Russian politics at the DGAP (German Council on Foreign Relations) think tank, expressed this opinion in a comment to Ukrinform.
“We are moving towards a worst-case scenario for Ukraine and European security. Putin got what he wanted without any concessions: A big summit with U.S. President Trump without President Zelensky and European leaders,” the expert believes.
In his opinion, the meeting legitimizes the Kremlin’s aggressive policy and breaks Putin’s isolation, including in the West, “or what is left over from the West”.
The expert considers that the meeting could “alienate Ukraine from the U.S., and it shows the limits of European politics”.

I agree with Jane, here, about you misreading her comments.
AFAICT, Jane referred to the fact most people with a negative opinion on Trump hate him for all the superficial reasons. Just the way the uniparty wants it. The more they can enrage their audience, the less their audience will demand of their team’s candidates. Jane also said some people voted and maybe even still like Trump because he did a few things they liked. Or, at least, faked it well enough to satisfy them.
I doubt you disagree with that.

An empire is a ruling apparatus or construct (emperor or empress – individual, multiple or nebulous) predicated on forced economic rent extraction and control of the economy from vassals or subordinate peripheries [near or remote], whether governmental or territorial control is exerted there or not. You’re thinking of a colonial empire

No, that’s not correct. You’re thinking of a feudal state, or you’re giving a Gramscian definition. An empire is a single sovereign authority that exercises control over territory of great extent. Territory acquired through annexation or conquest.

“Expert” man oh man…
In the Western bubble, but especially in Germany, expert opinions are no longer purchased by media broadcasters, press, etc., but rather the complete “expert” is purchased.
Regardless of whether they actually know anything about the topic or not, the viewer or listener doesn’t know the names of these “experts” anyway.
But anyone who has seen or heard this nonsense believes it, especially the German Michel, who is known for his obedience to authority, motto: “My Chancellor tells us we believe you.” In East Germany, among those over 55, that doesn’t really work. They still know the Russians live and personally. The younger ones, yes, many lack IQ, although IQ has nothing to do with education. 32 years after the fall of the GDR, you can still feel the school system they enjoyed.

Opinion — George Galloway
Galloway says that tomorrow in Alaska, Putin and Trump will decide the fate of Ukraine without Zelensky.:
The most long-awaited diplomatic summit in recent decades begins on Friday in Alaska. I was told that there is no snow or ice at this time of the year, but beautiful weather. However, whether the meeting will definitely be in the United States and not in Russia depends on which Donald Trump and on what day you listened.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is silent.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, can’t stop talking. He doesn’t hesitate to speak everywhere and in front of all the cameras, and the only good news is that he rarely repeats the same thing twice and usually completely contradicts his previous statements.
We’ll see soon if Trump is a man or a mouse.
Is he intimidated by Mark Rutte, Merz, Macron and Keir Starmer? Who is he listening to? Is he listening to the needs of the American economy, the American people, and the geopolitical and military realities in Ukraine, or is he listening to the barking of these dogs?
This conversation should decide the future of Zelensky’s country, and he is not important enough to be there. A foreign leader speaks for him.
Of course, as Donald Trump rightly pointed out in the Oval Office just a few months ago, he doesn’t have any maps. He’s gambling with World War III, and he’s a petty dictator whose mandate has expired, so there’s every reason to refuse.

Posted by: Melaleuca | Aug 15 2025 9:06 utc | 335

You have to spread your nonsense here at all costs, right?
At all costs, without informing yourself, especially regarding “trolls” in connection with Medvedev.
Oh my goodness…
Medvedev isn’t even there, as he is Putin’s deputy at home. Normally, Trump’s deputy shouldn’t be in the same place with him either. In the case of Alaska, it’s probably because Alaska is INLAND, i.e., the USA.
But not for Russia, which is why Putin’s deputy MUST/MAY NOT participate.
Therefore, Medvedev is the one who will push the button, or could push it, if something happens to Putin on American soil, and the fact that he has a somewhat different mentality is something we are NOT the only ones aware of, and is a deterrent in itself.

A very measured and thoughtful summary b,
STOP, stop, stop you are killing our proxy, we want peace cries The Americans.
This is Minsk 2 and Syria all over again.
As soon as Russia has its boots on the necks of any US proxy. The Americans scream for peace.
If Putin removes his boots from the US proxy neck this time after being fooled twice already his reputation will be in tatters.
All America is interested in is saving its proxy. Hence the ceasefire, ceasefire, ceasefire, ceasefire, ceasefire mantra. Going into Alaska that’s all they want. Nothing more.Saving their proxy is THE only priority The US is trying to achieve today.
The elephant in the room is even if Trump pulls a rabbit out of the hat on the bigger picture security measures. He has no political power to push any agreement through congress and the senate. Zero political leverage over the Europeans and Zelensky. As he has already agreed to fund Ukraine via European buying.
Trump has absolutely zero cards to play at home and zero cards to play in Alaska.
Putin holds all the cards. The world will be watching to see if he plays them. Or makes the very same mistakes he made during Minsk 2 and Syria.
All will be revealed during the next 4 weeks.

I’ll remind everybody about the “frozen assets” the only leverage Trump thinks he has today.
First of all a recap the MASSIVE difference between conversion theory and floating exchange rate theory.
https://new-wayland.com/blog/capital-flight/
Everybody read it ?
Russia fully understands the link above and that what is important is full monetary sovereignty and being able to issue the rouble at will.
That’s all that matters. Russia doesn’t need our money or anybody else’s money for that matter – PERIOD !!
“International reserves” ( under a floating exchange rate regime) and ( not fixed or pegged).
Are really nothing more than a drawer full of loose foreign change. They are of no real use in a country and can be completely ignored or written off to no operational effect.
They end up on the balance sheet of a central bank because export entities within a nation want the currency of the nation to undertake local transactions – like paying their local workers. So they swap their foreign earnings for local currency.
That’s IT!!
Since that creates an FX risk for commercial operations, an excess of foreign currency in export surplus nations tends to bubble up until it ends up under the control of some state entity – often the central bank.
There it sits – As savings certificates ( that idiots call debt) because not spending it tends to hold down their own currency exchange rate which favours their exports.
Why exporting your way to growth countries ( huge energy suppliers) horde these savings certificates in the first place.
One of the greatest repeated lies in international trade is the idea that the US dollar is king and is necessary. It’s a complete fabrication.
(See Karlof’s posts over the last week regarding the $) he gets it!
Just because some item is usually priced in US dollars does not mean that the contract to supply that item has to be denominated in US dollars. Even if it is, there is no requirement that it is settled end to end in US dollars.
PERIOD !!!
https://new-wayland.com/blog/anatomy-of-an-fx-transaction/
Trump has no leverage over Russia whatsoever regarding the ” frozen assets”.
None, zero, nada.
Of course, while they have been frozen have had zero effect on the SMO. Russia’s ability to fight this war. As Russia issues the rouble and issues it at will. Using an index finger and a computer keyboard.

Victor Orban
§§|| ~ Orbán sits down with PragerU CEO @MarissaStreit in his office to discuss immigration, national identity, family policy, and the cultural battle over Europe’s future. | August 12 | All quotes from Orban.
https://nitter.net/PM_ViktorOrban/status/1955715998998229129
§|~ Just four days ahead of the historic summit between President Trump and President Putin, the European Council sought to issue a statement in the name of all EU heads of state and government.
Before the liberal-mainstream chorus begins its newest rendition of their favourite “Putin’s puppet” tune, I decided to share why I could NOT support the statement on behalf of Hungary.
1. The statement attempts to set conditions for a meeting to which leaders of the EU were not invited.
2. The fact that the EU was left on the sidelines is sad enough as it is. The only thing that could make things worse is if we started providing instructions from the bench.
3. The only sensible action for EU leaders is to initiate an EU-Russia summit, based on the example of the US-Russia meeting.
Let’s give peace a chance!
§| I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: if Europe won’t negotiate directly with Russia, Moscow and Washington will strike a deal over our heads.
This Friday, President @realDonaldTrump and President Putin meet in Alaska.
§| A Europe that commands respect sits at the table, not in the hallway, when the big decisions shaping our future are made.
Brussels has forgotten that to prosper, Europe must reclaim its ambition and strength.
Make Europe Great Again! #MEGA
§| Brusselian elites backed a lost cause and now Europe pays the price.
While Moscow and Washington decide our fate, we’re left out in the cold.
The time to drop delusions and take control of our future has come. It’s simple really: sit at the table or you’ll find yourself on the menu.
Many European leaders cling to the fantasy that a prolonged war will bring regime change in Moscow.
Instead of facing reality and negotiating, they demonise President Putin and block the only path to peace.
Europe’s self-sabotage leaves us powerless while others decide our fate. Enough is enough
§| The EU is struggling. Competitiveness gone, standards of living falling, democracy under strain.
Yet Brussels wants us to bankroll Ukraine’s war and army, a burden that would crush us.
Instead, we must rebuild Europe’s strength and protect our people.
Our duty is clear, our fight is here at home.
§| The EU was built to serve sovereign nations, not to rule them.
Brussels holds no leash on Hungary.
We take no orders from unelected bureaucrats and answer only to our people. It’s time to set the record straight.

It IS RUSSIA WHO HAS THE LEVERAGE OVER TRUMP – Regarding the foreign frozen assets.
Not the other way round.
1. Makes BRICS stronger and speeds up other countries desire to interact using their own currencies.
2. Russia ( As it has absolutely no need of this foreign loose change ) could dangle a carrot in front of the West.
They could write out a list of what these frozen foreign assets could be used for instead of funding war.
They could say that they will use this foreign loose change to rebuild Ukrainian infrastructure for example. Help to repair the destruction carried out in Eastern Ukraine.
That the Ukrainian people should have a chance to vote on it. It something like that.
Russia holds all the leverage regarding the frozen assets.

The Russian side is aiming at much more than Ukraine. The size and high ranks of its delegation is otherwise unexplained:

Of course. Like I said in the Ukraine – Russian Troops Breach Into Second Donbas Defense Line thread on Aug 12 2025 13:15 utc | # 33:

The other major difference is that the previous ‘Minsks’ were headed by euros in the Western side while the coming meeting is with the boss, so the topics to discuss will be much wider in scope.

I am absolutely not Ayn Randian – I have consistently and constantly derided Libertarianism as uniquely American stupidity.
The problem with you liberal fools is that you think that anyone who disagrees with your views, must be motivated by something negative or dark as opposed to simply having different views.
The other, bigger, problem is you liberal fools think such other view points should not exist because of the superiority of your own.
So by all means, keep up the ad hominem attacks in place of any factual discussion of issues.
Its what liberals and neocons do.

Wikipedia provides an accurate summary:
Non-player character

A non-player character (NPC) is a character in a game that is not controlled by a player.[1] The term originated in traditional tabletop role-playing games where it applies to characters controlled by the gamemaster (or referee) rather than by another player. In video games, this usually means a character controlled by the computer (instead of a player) that has a predetermined set of behaviors that potentially will impact gameplay, but will not necessarily be the product of true artificial intelligence.

Applying the term to politicians I guess means they are acting out roles and reading from a script, but the lines and actions are being controlled by some other, possibly higher, authority.

As further proof of the quality of your discourse:
Have you apologized for falsely accusing me of lying about egg prices?
I provided not just a photo proof, but the means to independently validate the price mentioned.
Here’s another egg sale active right now: 18 eggs for $3.99
Yet again, unlike Amazon/Instakart shopping PMC fools like you clearly are, I actually shop in person for food and understand what prices are and where they are going. The above sale price is the lowest in a year and a half, but is still roughly twice what (sale) prices were from 2.5 years to at least 5 years ago.
Actual real regular people are likely not as detailed oriented as I am (or cheap, some might say) unless forced to by necessity, but regardless, they actually know where food prices are and where they are going.
Prices are still high – bread is still ridiculously high priced as compared to before the SMO and sanctions and Biden mass spending.
Ground beef got super cheap during COVID – primarily because people were not buying steaks so grocery store butcher were grinding up all kinds of other beef , including steaks, and selling ground beef for as low as $1.29/lb (I was told this by 2 different store butchers in 2 different stores) but $2.50 is the best I have seen in 18 months.
Vegetables are crazy but getting better; even Chinatown veggies doubled in price during the “Great Inflation”.
But cherries this season were really good. I detoured, with the wife, to a U-Pick cherry orchard on the way to Reno in June and got 9 pounds of mostly Rainier but some bing cherries for $4/lb – but Chinatown had as low as $1.89 for Rainier and $1.29 for (not very good) bing cherries.
Chinatown sells sort reject cherries: maybe bruised, maybe just “not perfect” as in a malformed/underformed cherry pit doubled up with a fully developed cherry, or “siamese” cherries with 2 attached pits and (generally) 2 smaller cherry fruit bodies extending out.
But even Safeway was selling bing cherries for $2.88/lb.
Can’t speak for Whole Foods – I don’t shop at Whole Paycheck like PMCs or wannabe PMCs.

Trump is, as always, very smart.
He pretends to care for the Ukraine, but what he wants is access to the Russian market for US goods and services, and a general agreement with Russia on arctic routes etc. If he manages to create a reasonable working relationship with Putin he will – from his perspective – have put a check on China, too.
Putin will win anyway, because he is winning.

Considering Bessett and Russian financial minister, as well as cretin RFID King:
MOSCOW, August 15. /TASS/. Cooperation between Russia and the United States in the development of ***rare earth minerals in Alaska*** will develop the economies of the two countries, Viktor Vodolatsky, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, told TASS.
“Earlier, The Daily Telegraph reported that the United States intends to offer Russia the development of rare earth minerals in Alaska. Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov previously said that the key topic of communication between the leaders of Russia and the United States would be the settlement in Ukraine as well as economic cooperation.”
Putin simply appealing to Trump/US greed.
Deals will be cut.
Ukraine will be hoisted onto EU as planned anyways.
The Congressional bill for 58+ Billion for Ukraine awaiting Congress recess to end will pass. Americans will pay to continue war. US will supply the 60 Billion again to save Governance, while looking for Zelensky replacement.
US involvement will continue.
Iran will be highest topic of discussion.
Bessett will “look the other way” regarding any tariff’s now or future and “deals” will insure economic growth & development between US Russia continues.
US looking to pull rare earths stranglehold away from China as Russia has processing abilities up & running. US looking to pull Russia away from China.
Ukraine war continues no matter what.
More fronts against Russia opens.
This still ends in nuclear war. Period.
There is no other trajectory.
Trumps personal greed & desires will not change a thing.
Trump looking for invite to China but will not get.

Yes, that’s the big question. The future for remnant Ukraine. Whatever that turns out to consist of.
Puppet state, friendly state, neutral state or no state at all – that last meaning permanent incorporation in the RF. Those are the various options. One sees also the option mentioned of the neighbouring countries absorbing “their” bits but that would be most undesirable and would in any case not affect central remnant Ukraine.
Unless the Russians are great fools they won’t attempt permanent incorporation of remnant Ukraine in the RF. It’s not just a question of the ultra stay-behinds. Most of the Eastern Ukrainians really don’t like Russia and don’t want to be part of it. So you’d end up with a nightmare of brutal secret police work, informers, internal strife (even in the East there are many pro-Russians) and low level but casualty heavy partisan warfare, that low level partisan warfare encouraged and assisted by Gehlen type operations run out of Europe. The Russians simply don’t want to get bogged down in all that.
Plus a crucial but often disregarded factor that “b” identifies in the article. It’d look bad to the Brics countries or to countries currently sympathetic to Russia. For the Africans in particular. Many Africans see Russia as part of their anti-colonialist struggle. They don’t like big powerful Western countries throwing their weight around in Africa and would be thoroughly disillusioned if they saw Russia doing just that in Eastern Ukraine to the extent of absorbing it.
Best the Russians can hope for in remnant Ukraine would be the removal of the memorials celebrating the WWII collaborators, an end to the cod history that’s currently taught in the schools there, and an end to our use of remnant Ukraine as a handy launch pad for “look no hands” missiles and drones. Plus a clear-out of the bases and Intel units we set up for running sabotage and assassination missions into Russia.
If they can get that that’s all they can reasonably expect to get. If they have any sense that’s all they’ll be aiming for.

1. Sorry to drone on😉
To add to my bedtime query that seems to have been ignored (it’s been quiet for a few days about the mass daily drones and missiles by the RF)
– it seems there’s is no end of targeting populations and random hits by the desperate Ukrops and their handlers upon RF territory… there will be a return shot.
On the other hand the ss/Azov ‘special best if the best’ bullshiteads being sent to be battier forces as the rout continues seem to be getting hit by RF drones – even as they disembark from their transports. Pretty crazy footage of a group being hit by drone which they appear not to hear at all as it closes in on them!
2. Their Own Private Alaska…
DJT loved to do his power grab and pull handshake for the cameras …
Let Him Try ! If the first face to face is without camera you can bet he’ll not be doing so – one reason for privacy.
3. Look Fools You Can See Russia From Here!
We put on a little fireworks display there for you, our partners, lets just step out doors for a few minutes Don – look at thes pretty hazelnut flowers and hey lookey what’s this New Whiz Bang! Let’s call it a bird of prey – see how fast and pretty it is.
‘Now about this offer we couldn’t refuse Don, Steve… we’re all ears… ‘
4. How long, how long before the show – let’s get more popcorn – it’s a bit early for beer here and shame to waste such a beautiful summer day. So going out for a bit of sport.
Laters good barflies and hasbarats socks too – there’s more than a few here I can smell from down the street. 🤡

To break up this serious stuff a little, on this important day Ria Novosti also pays tribute to legendary Russian rock musician and versatile artist Viktor Coi, who died at the age of 28 in a terrible car accident in 1990. (In the West in particular very little is known about the Russian music and artistic scene and the enormous creativity of the great Russian people).
Watch the embedded video, and listen to the beautiful Russian language.
It’s the second news item at this moment.

I think you’re totally wrong, but we’ll know about how it all goes in due time. It seems to me you idealize Russia bigly, as if Russia was so saintly, well-behaved, law-abiding, as if the view of the Global South mattered so much (it doesn’t).
Russia can take the whole of Ukraine as it did with Chechnya.
Many oblasts in central Ukraine, including Kiev, will vote to join Russia under nice military occupation.
Most zapadniks in Western Ukraine will run to the EU, those remaining will be destroyed. Secret police work is not a big issue, it’s relatively easy to hunt and torture rebels and then dismantle any organized network of resistance. States have vast experience in this field, including Russia of course.
Demilitarization means killing all men producing, importing and carrying arms except the police.
Denazification means writing a new constitution like the one in Germany, banning all fascist symbols and hunting down all tattoed fanatics and their support, including football hooligans.
Next in line are the Baltics because Kaliningrad.
After all is done, there will be a nice line running from Kaliningrad to Odessa, separating Russia from Gardenland.

Deception and trickery are only “smart” when someone gets fooled.
Eastern Europeans have long memories and they hold grudges … if Trump thinks that after three years of war it will be simply “No hard feelings, mkay?” then he has a bit of a learning moment coming up. Somehow Trump often lands on his feet … and perhaps the same will happen this time too, but asking for a simple “reset” is now out of the question.

I wonder now who Hancock was working for… and why he was in that region with an airplane. (Who had an airplane in the 1950s?) (for reference, my parents didn’t even have a car).
We are lead to presume it was all lucky serendipity.
Which means it probably wasn’t.

Most of Lang Hancock’s early prospecting was done on the ground with an old Series I Land Rover. Plenty of pictures and documentation. When he made his biggest early finds all minerals belonged to the Federal Government. He sat on his discoveries until laws were changed in favour of the discoverer. While waiting, he bought up properties that rail freight would pass through from the prospective mines to ports, so he could charge royalties for access.
He did a lot of very hard work. His daughter has worked hard on eating and making enemies.
I think Lang was working for himself, but I guess we’ll never really know…

The EU was built to serve sovereign nations, not to rule them.
Brussels holds no leash on Hungary.
We take no orders from unelected bureaucrats and answer only to our people. It’s time to set the record straight.
<=Talk about federalism, tyranny and invasion of sovereignty and the pathology associated with the panic coming from EU and Kiev leaders over being left out of Alaska. The EU Leaders are conspiring to overthrow the Hungarian, Servian, and Slovakian governments (regime change them) because the leaders and people of those nations refuse to align and conform their national interest with the dictates of the government in Brussels. The implications of the EU conspiracy against its members are astounding, far reaching and totally unacceptable to the idea of democracy, and in direct conflict with the right of self determination and human rights. If the EU leadership gets it way: Everyone is going to be forced to support the few. Humanity needs to wake up and correct the EU leadership. I have come to understand we need a nation state called humanity to defend our human interest against the leadership in charge of the nation state system.

Start was first announced (now I also read something about EARLIER, not later 10 PM moscow time, so if anything 19:00 GMT, adjust as needed),
19:30 GMT
20:30 London/Lisbon
21:30 Paris/Berlin/Warsaw
22:30 Moscow time
one on one with translators only, then +5 each side.
Flight comments ok
“We get along. There’s a good respect level on both sides,” he told reporters aboard his plane flying to Anchorage for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The US leaders expressed hope that the upcoming summit will be productive. “And I think, you know, something’s going to come up,” he added.

The best way to achieve Something ist to talk about anything but Ukraine: nothing to gain there. Best to Postphone, possibly with some Agreements on the Side: Putin agreeing to speed Things Up, Trump agreeing to slow down Support. Inofficially, the way he’s been doing it foe a while. Sure, Europe can buy weapons for Ukraine. But it will Take time to produce them. Throttle the floe of intelligence, Put some Red Tape around Targets in Russia.
There ist not much to gain for either Putin or Trump by talking about Ukraine. Beides the obvuous – both have bigger fush to fry, and both Ukraine and Europe being dead Set on continuing the war until they win – as they seem to think – they do have a Point.
There ist a excellwnt opinuon piece in Russia Roday, about Ukraine and Europe not being ready for a Post war Ukraine.
Three Problems:
1. Any President signing away Ukrainian territory will be crucified by his own people. Meaning there will be Nobody available to sign a treaty.
2. All Potential successors of Selensky garbour a grudge against Russia. Meaning they’ll prepare to restart the war , rather revuilding the country.
3. Rebuilding the country will be pretty much Impossible. Before 2014, Ukraine was built in three pillars: heavy Industries – in Donbass, now lost to Russia. Fertilizer priduction, which deoends on cheap Energy from Russia. Fertilizer will be dead with expebdive Europeans (American) Energy. And agriculture. Which, besides needing cheap fertilizer, doesnt provide a lot of Jobs, and doesn’t create all that much value.
Ukraine will be a country with No industry, No jobs, little income, a lot of debt and a lot of bureaucrats. What is left in Natural ressources hast been signed away to American, while Europe is expected to pay. Indefinitely. Without perspectives of Return.
Selensky May seem ignorant, stubborn and stupid for insisting on on bo comprise. The sad reality is that he, and His country, will become irrelevant as soon as the war ends. Europeans Leaders will loose their favorite distraction, their people will start asking difficult questions.
Meaning the smartest moce fir Trump and Putin may be to stay away from the topic, let the war simmer for a while and Focus on more important topics, for now. Selensky and Europe will come to their senses. Sooner or later.
