Prominent Ukrainian Fascist Shot Dead In Lviv

Earlier today the Ukraine Member of Parliament Andriy Parubiy was shot dead in Lviv (aka Lvov, Lemberg).

Parubiy was walking down a road near his home when a man with a motorcycle helmet and a delivery bag came up behind him. The man lifted a pistol and shot Parubiy seven or eight times before walking away.

Video of today's murder of MP Andriy Parubiy in Lviv. This is my neighborhood. Close to my home. The killer posed as a Glovo courier.
A manhunt has been launched to capture him.
Embedded video

About a year ago another prominent rightwing person, Iryna Farion, was also killed in Lviv.

Parubiy was the organizer and commander of the fascist militia during the Maidan coup in February 2014. During those days several snipers from Georgia, stationed at the Hotel Ukraina which was under opposition control, fired and killed policemen as well as protesters.

Video from those days showed Parubiy supervising the situation as the snipers, with their weapon cases, were leaving the hotel.

Following the Maidan coup Parubiy's involvement in violence continued:

DD Geopolitics @DD_Geopolitics – 11:02 UTC · Aug 30, 2025

Parubiy played a central role in the May 2, 2014 Odessa massacre, when dozens of ethnic Russians were killed after being trapped in the Trade Unions House and the building was set ablaze. According to former SBU officer Vasily Prozorov, Parubiy organized the delivery of armed nationalist militants to Odessa that day and oversaw their coordination.

At least 48 people were killed in the building, those who attempted to escape were shot, Many jumped from window to their deaths, others who survived their escape were attacked at the perimeter by police and civilians.

Strana sums up Parubiy's career (machine translation):

Andrey Parubiy has been in politics since he was 17 years old. From the very beginning, he adhered to a radical nationalist line. Back in 1988, he founded the organization "Spadschyna" in Lviv, which was engaged in restoring the graves of UPA members and guarded the first anti-Soviet rallies in western Ukraine.

In 1990, he became a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council.

In 1991, together with Oleg Tyagnibok, he founded the Social-National Party of Ukraine (SNPU), which was later renamed Svoboda.

He took part in the first Maidan in 2004, was the commandant of the Ukrainian House. Then he joined Yushchenko's Our Ukraine party.

In the spring of 2010, a criminal case was opened against Parubiy for trying to disrupt the vote in the Rada for ratifying the agreement with Russia on extending the stay of the Black Sea Fleet in the Crimea – he threw eggs at Speaker Litvin, and then lit a smoke bomb in the session hall.

Parubiy gained national fame during the second Maidan, where he was one of the main leaders and coordinated Self-defense.

After the victory of the Maidan in late February 2014, he was appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

In Russia, Parubiy was accused of being the organizer of the May 2 events in Odessa, during which dozens of people were killed. Parubiy himself denied this.

After the early elections in 2014, which Parubiy went on the list of the "Popular Front", he first became the first deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, and after Speaker Groysman went to the prime Minister became the speaker.

In the parliamentary elections in 2019, he went on the list of the Eurosolidarnost party of Petro Poroshenko.

Participated in actions in support of Poroshenko after criminal cases were initiated against the ex-president.

After the start of a full-scale war, a photo and video of Parubiy in a military uniform with machine guns appeared at one of the checkpoints in the Kiev region.

But in general, he was not very visible in the last three years and did not conduct active political activities.

Russia or Russia friendly Ukrainians will of course be the first who will be accused of murdering Andriy Parubiy. That however is certainly not the only possibility:

Marta Havryshko @HavryshkoMarta – 12:01 UTC · Aug 30, 2025

Russian propagandists are calling the recently murdered Andriy Parubiy a “Nazi,” a “Russophobe,” and an “ultranationalist.”

At the same time, the neo-Nazi group White Phoenix expressed support for his killing, claiming that Parubiy was a “traitor and a desecrator of the Ukrainian nation and the white race.”

There are additional potential motives (machine translation):

Strana spoke with several associates of Andriy Parubiy in the European Solidarity party, from which he was a deputy since 2019.

Their main version is "the hand of the Kremlin": revenge for active participation in the Maidan and for actions in 2014.

At the same time, some interlocutors do not exclude the domestic political background of the murder, recalling that "Andrei knew well how to organize Maidans." That is, hinting that the murder may be connected with the expectations of some future political upheaval in the country.

There are also suggestions that someone wanted to silence him:

The Russians could target him for sure, as his political allies allege. But he was a key witness of Maidan events and many of its undisclosed secrets will go into his grave.

Summarized:

Leonid Ragozin @leonidragozin – 12:04 UTC · Aug 30, 2025

All fingers are being pointed at Russia in the wake of Andriy Paruby’s assassination and it’s fair enough – he was a sworn enemy of Russia, albeit not politically visible in recent years.

Russia was instantly accused in all previous post-Maidan political assassinations, such as those of Pavel Sheremet or Denis Voronenkov. However in all of these cases, far right militants with links to Ukraine’s security services would surface as suspects in police investigations.

Since 2014, Russia is only known to have assassinated senior Ukrainian intelligence officers which it deems responsible for painful clandestine attacks.

From any perspective, Ukrainian or Russian, it’s puzzling why a seemingly inactive veteran politician becomes a target. Revenge and the fact that he knew too much come to mind. But as Strana points out, Paruby knew better than most how to stage a revolution in Ukraine.

Parubiy's case officer at the CIA could likely add to this.

why would anyone be worried about staging a revolution in ukraine? lol… i mean, i thought everyone inside ukraine was quite happy with the status quo and serving zelenskys meatgrinder… while it is easy to blame russia for everything – where have we see that before? – it is more likely zelensky and friends need to keep a lid on any hostility that the people of ukraine might feel over the past 5 years of z being in power… everyone likes a dictator, even the freedom loving western democracies, lol… i mean if he is on ”our” side, what is not to like about this particular dictator?

Strange idea to use someone’s national flag as a brand logo.
Possible motive of the murder, one of several I suppose:

🟦 Parubiy, while serving as Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security Council, had control over the military budget and may not have shared it with someone, for which he was killed. This was stated by former Rada deputy Spiridon Kilinkarov.
He noted that future investigations will focus specifically on these budgetary funds and the individuals with whom the deceased conducted business;

Seven or eight shots. Probably not professional hit-man
– Norwegian 2
Not sure I follow this logic, too much Hollywood as a kid I presume. Woe is the hit-man sent to silence someone and the pigeon survives. If you grew up in Chicago you’d know the cautionary tale of Tokyo Joe, Joe Eto
Afraid he was going to be shot, Eto put on his best suit before heading out a meeting. Sitting in a parked car, hitmen Jasper Campise and John Gattuso fired three shots into his head; however, the bullets did not fully penetrate Eto’s skull. Eto survived and entered the witness protection program, ratted on everybody and died at the age of 84. But, about five months after the unsuccessful hit, the bodies of Jasper Campise and John Gattuso were found in the trunk of a car; the men had been strangled to death.
Lesson to be learned:
spare the ammo, spoil ‘da “job”, swim with ‘da fishees

As with the NordStream arrest misdirection, a patsy will be selected and arrested that fits the government’s (CIA, MI-6) agenda. Russia, Russia, Russia.
Can’t rule out that it was the family of someone who was randomly shot on Maidan in 2014.

From Fool Me Twice 12’s link:
..Parubiy died before the medics arrived
The hit sounds pretty professional to me, didn’t waste time reloading after ~8 shots so, I would guess he had a double stack magazine with ~8 shots remaining. 9mm short or long? Electric bike, no license but, plenty fast and with heavy tires that could handle rough terrain.
Yeah, I’d say this wasn’t the hitman’s first outing…somebody trusted to finish the “job”.
My guess is, Andriy Parubiy didn’t have a ratline to scamper down and wanted to use his info/story as leverage/credit to create one. Signal intel picked up on this and related it to MI-6 who manage the inner circle of ex-ukrainia’s quislings. And the matter was taken care of….
As I mentioned above Blinken/Sullivan/Hillary/Obama/RINOs/DNC/US-3LAs/English-3LAs/Mossad are all involved in the “ex-ukrainia-affair”. It’d have been a mess if an eyewitnesses started spilling the beans on all of these people. The world’s 3LAs have always failed at their respective nation’s long term goals of national-security but…they are very good and genocide, murder, rape, kidnapping, extortion and blackmail. Think of the world’s 3LAs as employment agencies for sociopaths with psychopathic tendencies….long term thinkers need not apply.

Not unless it was done by law enforcement, which seems unlikely since they would not post the shot online.
They could be charged with disturbing a crime scene.

Posted by: Fool Me Twice | Aug 30 2025 16:11 utc | 19

Hmmm, could be:
i) sectarian hit (Russian speaker vs Nazi);
ii) Nazis hitting other Nazis in some labyrinthine power struggle;
iii) likewise Elensky’s men doing the same;
iv) ‘fake’ termination (in the style of the last days of the Reich), followed by cosmetic surgery and departure to warmer climes.
I’m no great fan of snuff movies, but seems odd that the ‘action’ occurs behind a tree and that it should have been filmed at all. Who would casually do that?

It seems all too obvious. Ukraine is collapsing and this person is key to answering all the questions, from the Maiden killings, the Odessa Trade Union burning and killing, the graft and corruption, and mostly, who provided his instructions and funding.
This public display was either a full skilled distraction and he is still alive, but more likely he was taken out like Saddam Hussein, Kaddafi, bin Laden, Manuel Noriega, Oswald and Jack Ruby, etc, all who worked for the secret agencies and drug cartels that knew all the secrets. Dead men cannot talk.

While the intrigue in Lvov plays out, we see machinations & peripatetic finagling in other quadrants of Project Ukraine, specifically this:
DJT is casting about for a chance to scissor his way between Russia and China and has been table-topping a plan: Chinese troops for policing a peacekeeping zone in Ukraine.
Not only is this a scarcely veiled attempt to play Russia off China, and to keep them both tied up in Ukraine, it is also a way to spark an expanded conflict which the U.S. has always wanted. Persuading India to send *peacekeepers* alongside China’s would be a way for the U.S. to score a Daily Double on this.
Won’t happen.
Additionally, DJT has brainstormed the idea of hiring private American military firms, like Erik Prince’s Blackwater, to deploy troops in Ukraine as a way to protect U.S. business interests in the country.
In an effort to alchemize *victory* from *defeat* and to gain strategic positioning in a lost war, DJT envisions Black Sea naval missions, air-policing and allowing the privately deployed troops to conduct drills w/ Ukraine’s military.
The plan is a workaround: having promised not to put American boots on the ground, DJT can nonetheless shoehorn some Americans in by claiming that these guys are part of a *civilian* paramilitary. Of course it is entirely likely that NATO troops will sheep-dip their way into the mix, slippery-slopes being what they are.
The Donbass/Kherson/Zaporhizia borders have few peaks or heights other than of the slag-heap and terrikon variety, but it possesses slippery-slopes galore. Peace has never been an option, only successive Minsk Agreements til the bitter end.
The bitter end grows more bitter still w/ actions like we saw happen in Lvov today.

“S Brennan” is on target :3
If someone is trying to clean up they have a lot more work to do. Goes for all sides (as the comments show there’s more than two or three or four or…).
On the gun talk since it’s Eastern Europe it might be Makarov (9*18) or Parabellum (9*19) because it makes sense to use a common gun and things that feed those are by far the most common in Europe, it’s mostly in the US that “weird” stuff is “normal”.
In some lonely wet and dark place a barely used barrel is now very slowly rusting away 🙂
Most likely the magazine would have at least three or four shots left (or much more), again if one is being “normal” and not using some unnecessary 7+1 compact carry thing that fits in a lady’s purse.
Unrelated to the video and what was used most carry/delivery bags could very easily fit a 30 rounds magazine Glock with a tiny illegal™ Chinese full automatic switch (those are wow) or some Uzi or MAC ripoff. Only pointing out that pistols, SMGs (submachine guns), and PDWs (Personal Defense Weapon) can be small or even tiny.
Turned my “ammosexuality” setting down a notch for this comment, might need another step down, go blame a childhood of Guns’n’Ammo magazines 😛

My first guess hope was that the killer was an angry civilian, but the bike courier disguise says professional. The average civilian won’t have ready access to something like that. Likewise the ID on the pavement. A professional’s employer might want evidence of success.
Obviously it wasn’t the Russians. They’ve had over a decade to flush this turd, so why would they have waited until now if it was their intention? Makes no sense and Russian actions so far all make very good sense.
The kosher Nazi disposing of a potential challenger makes sense, as does a western intelligence agency seeing the end of the Ukraine project approaching and preemptively cleaning up loose ends that might prove embarrassing.
The video is just from a security camera. Someone was recording it from replay on a large monitor and panning their cellphone camera across the display. That’s unlikely to be suspicious since it would implicate someone who is easy to track down.
Oh well, I was wrong. I very much wanted this to be a sign of fightback from the Ukrainian population.

“Parubiy, 54, rose to prominence during Ukraine’s Euromaidan mass protests, which advocated closer ties with the EU and brought down pro-Russian former President Viktor Yanukovych in 2014.”

I winced when I was reading through it; so much spin, the BBC must be using one of those legendary Russian washing-machine microchips…

What would things been like [in Russia] if during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there, paling with terror at every bang on the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people?
Perhaps the Russian people of right now should take this advice and fight back against Putin when Putin tries to take you away for dissenting against him, or takes you away to waste your life on this hypocritical war.

It’s not a show. Does anyone think the Nazi is going to lie on the sidewalk trying not to move for an hour waiting for the coroner to show up and do his part? No, the Nazi is well and truly dead, and good riddance regardless of who ordered it.
Posted by: William Gruff | Aug 30 2025 19:05 utc | 57
This “good riddance” sounds absurd given your eagerness to embrace Nazis like Charlie Kirk or Trump, and your attacks on people calling these Nazis out as “TDS”.

During those days several snipers from Georgia, stationed at the Hotel Ukraina which was under opposition control, fired and killed policemen as well as protesters.
Posted by b on August 30, 2025 at 14:44 UTC

Ukrainian Nationalists Sergey Pashinskiy, Vladimir Parasyuk and Zinoviy Parasyuk started shooting a few minutes before that from the Conservatory building ( https://ria.ru/20180214/1514476355.html ):

“On February 14 or 15, the groups’ leaders—me, Kikabidze, Makiashvili, Saralidze, I don’t remember the names of the others—were gathered on the third floor of the Hotel Ukraina in a separate room. Parubiy (Andriy Parubiy, an ultra-right Ukrainian politician, ‘commandant of the Maidan’ during the riots in Kiev, since 2016 the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada — editor’s note) and Pashinskiy (Sergey Pashinskiy, a scandalous Ukrainian politician and businessman, currently the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense — editor’s note) were there. Parubiy spoke to us: ‘We need to help the brotherly people, and soon we will have a task.’ But no clarification followed. By this time, I had already seen weapons among the protesters: hunting rifles and pistols,” says Nergadze.
A certain Christopher Brian, who was introduced as a former U.S. serviceman, was also present at the meeting.
“On the evening of February 19, Sergey Pashinskiy and several unknown guys with large bags came into the hotel again. They took out SKS carbines, Kalashnikov 7.62-caliber assault rifles. There was also one SVD rifle and a foreign-made carbine. Pashinskiy explained to us that the weapons would be needed ‘for protection,’ but he did not answer my question about who to protect ourselves from and left the room,” Nergadze continues.
At the same time, Nergadze and Mamulashvili had a conversation. Mamulashvili talked about a “special assignment” and that “it is necessary to create chaos on the Maidan, using weapons against all targets, protesters and the police—it makes no difference.” He promised to pay for the trip only after the “assignment” was completed.
“I was present during the briefing of the senior groups’ leaders. Brian gave the instructions in English, Mamulashvili translated. The order of actions was determined as follows: the group led by Pashinskiy goes to the conservatory. They should start shooting first from the Conservatory building, and in three or four minutes the groups located in the Hotel Ukraina should start shooting,” adds Nergadze.
As Revazishvili says, the weapons were brought to the conservatory that same day: “Mamulashvili, Saralidze nicknamed Malysh [Baby — S] and about ten more people came, I don’t know the rest. Mamulashvili asked about our mood. They laughed. Someone asked Mamulashvili in Georgian: ‘Where is Misha?’ [Saakashvili — S] He answered: ‘At Porokh’s.’ [Poroshenko — S] Then they left. After a while, Pashinskiy and several other people brought bags of weapons into the room. Mostly SKS carbines. Pashinskiy himself was holding a Kalashnikov assault rifle with an open butt.”
Among those present was Vladimir Parasyuk, the leader of one of the Maidan “hundreds,” later the commander of the 4th company of the Dnepr battalion and a Ukrainian MP. With him was a man he called “daddy”—probably his father.
“Pashinsky asked me to help him choose a shooting position. He said that at night the Berkut could storm the conservatory and the protesters could be dispersed,” Revazishvili adds.
“At night, at about four or five in the morning, I heard shots, as it seemed to me, from the direction of the October Palace. Pashinskiy jumped up, grabbed the radio and started shouting to stop firing and that it was not yet time. The shooting stopped immediately. At about 7:30 in the morning (maybe later) Pashinskiy ordered everyone to get ready and open fire. Fire two or three shots and immediately change positions. Pashinskiy himself fired from a machine gun. Young Parasyuk—from a Sayga carbine, his father—from an SKS carbine,” says Revazishvili.
“The shooting lasted for 10–15 minutes. After that, we were ordered to drop our weapons and leave the building,” he concludes.

Pashinskiy is probably the next one to be eliminated—his death similarly blamed on Russia.

A whitewash job from the BBC regarding his involvement in the Maidan, not a mention of the Odessa Trade Union fire: Prominent Ukrainian politician Andriy Parubiy shot dead in Lviv

The gun is not particularly professionally handled” – Milites 55
I’m not sure I follow? Your expertise must be far beyond my experience. Was it a lack of elan on the shooters part that made you say the above? I mean, he came, he shot and the stool pigeon died, what’s so unprofessional about that? I’m bit blindsided; I was not aware we had a commenter here that was so experienced with hit jobs that a very successful hit would be dismissed as not being up to snuff?
I will grant that I’m not really a pistol guy but, I did shoot expert in the US Army. Seems to me the guy did exactly what he was hired to do, made sure of the kill, successfully got away and all without being ID’d. How much more professional can you be?

Old Chinese proverb: “A cat, yellow or black, as long as it catches mice, it’s a good cat.”
Deng Xiaoping changed the yellow cat to a white one for some reason. He used the proverb to explain his support for introduction of capitalist reforms in China. Many in the CCP were correctly concerned that the capitalist reforms would go too far, and they did, resulting in surging corruption (that’s how capitalists control political and cultural institutions, though in capitalist societies this is not seen as bad or counterproductive). One of Xi Jinping’s top accomplishments so far has been to purge this corruption from the party and firmly establish capitalist enterprises in China as tools to assist economic development that are subservient to the party and thus public interests.
This proverb being misstated to refer to dead cats is strange.

My first emotional reaction was to believe that this was RF payback for master minding the Maidan and Odessa massacres……very possible.
Also possible is that his CIA/MI6/Mossad handlers capped him in order to prevent him from unveiling the inter workings of plot to overthrow the Ukrainian government in 2014, very very possible.
As the UAF collapses more strange events will unfold as the CIA/MI6/Mossad group attempts to cover its disgusting tracks…….

I read somewhere recently that Lemberg is the homosexual prostitution capital of Europe. Not that there would be a lot of difficulty procuring that service anywhere else. I’m going to assume Lemberg is a place where you can buy anything you want. Children. Missiles. Artillery. Organs. Killings. Theatrical killings.
As stated above, a fake hit covers all bases. Without a great deal more information and something that qualifies as evidence no reason at all to believe any of this. Someone wants you to believe there was a killing. Infinite motives, infinite opportunity and Ukraine awash in weapons. And a homosexual Jewish comedian with a coke habit for president.

This analysis is incomplete: A few weeks ago, the person primarily responsible for the Odessa massacre was trumpeted in the same way in Kyiv. This doesn’t look so much like a Russian action—they would be more interested in capturing these guys alive, given their knowledge—but rather something specifically Ukrainian.

Yes, this; not sure what @Milites is seeing.
As for motives, a wide field of speculation but my gut feeling is this was a “silencing”, by who and for why is unknown, again there’s ample scope for speculation.
Perhaps some indirect clues could be gleaned from the funeral ceremony, who turns up, where it’s held etc.
Will there be a “day of mourning”?

In the Golden Age before WWII the capital of vaudeville was not New York. It was Warsaw, Berlin, and Lemberg. Zelensky when he was purely an entertainer was a vaudevillian. This entire war looks a whole lot like a vaudeville production. Zelensky’s entire administration – and his supposed wife – are the production crew of his old television soap opera.
My favorites are Jack Benny, Mel Brooks, and Spike Jones. No one working on The Ukraine Show comes close

Plus zoom.

The Trump caricature you rage against is just a warped product of your TDS-fractured brony imagination, as is the version of myself that exists in your sick mind. You “modern audience” types would do well to learn to differentiate between your imaginations and the real world.

Posted by: William Gruff | Aug 30 2025 18:15 utc | 51
Don’t get too disheartened, the fightback from the ordinary population is much more at the organic level of pitchforks, ropes and torches; the repeated batterings the press-gang commissioners are taking is just one indicator.
This Parubiy assassination is going to worry those on the outer periphery of the Kiev junta; as the proverb says: “There’s no honour among thieves”.

TopaInka | Aug 30 2025 19:24 utc | 65

You make it sound like the claims of existence of Nazism in modern Ukraine are bogus. Let’s read the news—the news you will never read at BBC:
In Ukraine, the memory of the executioner of Jews is immortalized next to the mass grave of his victims (EurAsia Daily, August 29, 2025 — in Russian)

In the Volyn region of Ukraine, in the village of Girka Polonka, a museum of the Nazi criminal Ivan Litvinchuk, who “became famous” for his actions of mass extermination of Jews, was opened.
The head of the Jewish Committee of Ukraine Eduard Dolinskiy reported on this event on social networks. He noted that this event is quite remarkable in that there, in the suburbs of Lutsk, in a mass grave lie 20 thousand Jews, to whose murder the “hero” had a direct relationship.
Litvinchuk has a very “deserved” service record by modern Ukrainian standards. He faithfully served the Nazi Reich, participated in the murder of 18 thousand Jews in Sarny.
And then he stood under the banner of the UPA and in this capacity distinguished himself in the destruction of the Polish villages of Lipniki and Janowa Dolina. In Poland, he is considered one of the main organizers and perpetrators of the Volyn massacre.
In Lipniki, Litvinchuk and his subordinates killed 171 people, including 51 children. Among these victims was the family of the future first Polish cosmonaut Miroslav Hermaszewski.
He, then still a child, was miraculously saved by his wounded mother. His grandfather was stabbed in the chest with a bayonet, his father was shot, and his house was burned. In total, 19 of Hermaszewski’s relatives were killed.
In the Polish village of Janowa Dolina, Litvinchuk and his “brothers” killed more than 600 civilians. Due to a shortage of ammunition, the victims were killed with axes, knives, and burned alive in their houses.
Litvinchuk hid in Girka Polonka in 1948–1950. Litvinchuk was killed by NKVD troops in 1951.

Only in a country infected with Nazi ideology can a museum dedicated to a prominent Nazi be opened.

Parubiy was walking down a road near his home when a man with a motorcycle helmet and a delivery bag came up behind him. The man lifted a pistol and shot Parubiy seven or eight times before walking away.
7 or 8 shots seems messy, but i really wouldn’t know. If this is messy, then i would question whether this job was actually unprofessional or whether it was made to look unprofessional.
Parubiy has been in a residential neighborhood for some time one must assume. Why the hit now? There are no coincidences.
