Hala Jaber – What The World Is Offering Palestinians Isn’t A State

On which I hand the mic to Hala Jaber

Hala Jaber @HalaJaber – 13:41 UTC · Aug 1, 2025

🧵The Two-State Solution is Dead. What the world is offering Palestinians isn’t a state.

The concept of a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine is often presented as a path to peace, but it has become an empty promise, a diplomatic illusion that distracts from the reality of occupation and apartheid. This thread examines why the two-state solution was and is no longer viable, analyzing its historical promises, current realities, and inherent flaws.

bigger

All this talk of a two-state solution is delusion at best, distraction at worst.

Israel’s leadership has made it clear: it has no intention, ZERO, of allowing a sovereign Palestinian state, EVER.

Even Netanyahu has said it: “There is no post-war scenario that would lead to a Palestinian state.”

This collides with the idea of sovereignty.

This stance reveals a fundamental contradiction: a “state” without sovereignty is not a state, it’s a rebranded occupation. Israel’s actions, settlement expansion, annexation policies, & daily violence, genocidal rhetoric, demonstrate that the system is designed to prevent Palestinian statehood, not enable it. It’s not a bug, it’s the system.

The rhetoric of a two-state solution persists as a diplomatic distraction, masking the reality of apartheid while offering Palestinians a hollow promise. So what are you negotiating? A mirage? A hostage with a flag isn’t a state? Stop dressing up apartheid as diplomacy.

Let’s assume, just for argument’s sake, a Palestinian state was declared tomorrow, its functionality would be impossible under current conditions.

The proposed state would consist of two disconnected territories: Gaza in the southwest and the West Bank in the northeast, separated by a heavily militarized Israel. Israel controls all borders, airspace, and movement between these regions, rendering Palestinian autonomy dependent on Israeli permission.

A state without control over its borders, economy, or defense is not sovereign. The Oslo framework demanded a demilitarized Palestine, leaving it defenseless against blockades, settler violence, or military incursions. Even if Palestine were “recognized,” it would be a state in name only with:

  • No army.
  • No control over borders, airspace, or economy.
  • No right to defend itself.
  • No protection from bombs, blockades, or settler militias.

This is not statehood, it’s an open-air prison with a flag and better branding.

But more importantly: it never acknowledged the Nakba: the expulsion of 750,000 Palestinians, the theft of 78% of their homeland, the erasure of their right to return.

Even the limited territory promised under Oslo II, Areas A and B, roughly 40% of the West Bank, has been eroded. Area C, comprising 60% of the West Bank, remains under full Israeli control. Over 700,000 Israeli settlers now live in 150 settlements and 128 outposts, most built post-Oslo, fragmenting the West Bank into disconnected enclaves.

Settlement expansion and land theft have made a contiguous Palestinian state impossible. What remains is a patchwork of cantons, surrounded by apartheid infrastructure, that cannot form the basis of a viable state.

Instead, it asks Palestinians to accept symbolic scraps while their homeland is devoured and call it peace, when truth be told, that’s not reconciliation, it’s Western diplomacy laundering colonial dispossession.

This isn’t a “solution.” It’s a settlement of guilt, for everyone but Palestinians. The two‑state model is a corpse: cold, buried, kept artificially warm by leaders who want to say they “tried.” But geography, justice, and reality have pronounced it dead.

Symbolic gestures, like international recognition of a Palestinian state, are meaningless without control over land, resources, or security. The two-state solution has become a diplomatic prop, a way to maintain the appearance of progress while enabling occupation.

Netenyahu’ statements including: “Any future independent Palestinian state would pose a threat to Israel’s existence,” further underscore the futility of negotiations.

Recognition without sovereignty is publicity for occupation, not liberation.

Which brings us to today:

Western leaders are racing to “recognize” a Palestinian state; Starmer, Spain, Norway, framed as a historic gesture. But what are they actually offering? The current status quo: diminished land, no sovereignty, no protection.

Even Netanyahu celebrates this in his statements, including in his July 2025 White House remarks that an independent Palestinian state would “pose a threat to Israel’s existence,”

Recognition without sovereignty is publicity for occupation, not liberation.

Summary:

The two-state solution is dead, if it was ever truly viable. It offers Palestinians neither sovereignty nor justice, serving instead as a distraction from the realities of occupation, displacement, and systemic violence. Clinging to this outdated framework enables the status quo, not liberation.

Palestinians deserve more than a flag over ruins or a seat at a table where their rights are perpetually deferred. True peace requires confronting the root causes of injustice, the Nakba, land theft, and apartheid, and dismantling the systems that perpetuate them. Anything less is not a solution; it’s a delusion dressed as diplomacy.

Recognition without justice isn’t peacekeeping. It’s betrayal, gift-wrapped, so let’s stop pretending this is statehood, it’s not.

It’s PR over policy & fiction over freedom.

Great article, and absolutely true the supposed two-state solution is a ruse – the Zionists will never allow the Palestinians to have a sovereign state with all the trimmings that go with it – the Western politicians and their media are playing us for fools, to make them look good, which is impossible after two-years of them backing and aiding in a genocide.
The illegally squatting Zionists are the ones that need to be removed from Palestinian lands, send them all to America and England, Germany etc, they love them so much then they should take these vile, evil b*stards in, in the same way they’ve taken countless Ukrainian Neo-Nazi in – with England secretly taking 24,000 Afghan traitors, at a cost of over £800 million quid, some Afghan traitors brought 14 family members with them.

Sounds like the two-state solution is already in place, at least as far as Israel is concerned. Israel has established the two-state solution it wants. And those countries saying they will recognize a Palestinian state have not said their idea of a Palestinian state is any different than what Israel wants. So, as Psychohistorian says, “the shit show continues. . .”

Posted by: Chas | Aug 1 2025 15:22 utc | 5

And now with a government stating it’s willingness to give a final solution to the Palestinian question, it’s not only apparent two state solution was stillborn, it became an immunity totem against Zionism ; the best “no state solution” propaganda placard some could have dream of.
“No country for old men” … no country for genocidal maniacs either.

Disregarding the empty gestures and useless virtue signalling which are highly temporary in nature of Canada, UK, France, etc. what “the world” is “offering” is a state within the 1967 borders. It will never happen, of course, unless by force which is impossible as long as the middle east remains colonized. Hala Jaber is too generalistic and projects the West’s (that essentially gave birth to this settler colony) hollow position on the heterogenic world that has a broader view envisioning real autonomy.

Posted by: xor | Aug 1 2025 15:26 utc | 7

This is an attempt to revive the, born dead, Abram pacts, that had nothing in for the palestinese but a tool to play Arab state against Iran.
What Israel and the west weren’t able to achieve on field, the destruction of hamas, must now be claimed by propaganda, when support for Israel is at the lowest level from decades.

‘it’s Western diplomacy laundering colonial dispossession’
It’s not ‘western’ as China and Russia don’t give a shit about Palestine.
It is not ‘colonial’ in the classic sense either.
It is unadulterated Jewish Supremacism.
Destroying the entire world and rebuilding it in their interest.

respectfully, ” send them all to America and England, Germany etc” please drop “America” from this statement. We had our own Nakba by European squatters and we don’t need any more, thank you :). Those of us who survived were offered tiny enclaves in areas nobody wanted – somewhat like Palestine. Also like in Palestine, the settlers here still hate us and call us illegal and put us in cages, unable to recognize the non sequitir of telling people to go back where they came from when we are where we came from.

I’ve been saying for years that the “two state solution” is a farce, and have often been attacked by “liberals” with self-professed good intentions for it.
The only viable solution for occupied Palestine is and always was the one state solution, with that sate being secular and multi-ethnic, with full rights of return and legal justice for displaced persons. It baffles me that anyone could have imagined any other possibility that doesn’t result in nightmare.

“Disregarding the empty gestures and useless virtue signalling… what “the world” is “offering” is a state within the 1967 borders…”
The above is accurate. Recent western assurances envision a non-sovereign refugee camp run by the PA and financed by the Gulf States. It is a slight revision of Blinken’s offer of a “pathway” to statehood. The wider world community has a well-expressed broader vision – 1967 borders, part of Jerusalem as a capital, etc – which cannot be accomplished under present conditions, if ever at all. Israel’s threatened annexation of occupied territory remains a grim prospect, but would more accurately delineate the current realities of the racially-segregated apartheid state which, masks off, is not sustainable.

Posted by: jayc | Aug 1 2025 15:54 utc | 13

Felix @11
A very large number (many hundreds of thousands) of zionist “settlers” come from New Jersey. I think they should return to Newark and Camden and try their ethnic cleansing there.
Watching the “liberals” squirm from that political correctness collision would be quite entertaining.

[Ever growing list, Updated. Appreciate the recent recommendations from barflies.
This is a hasty update, so some suggestions will come later, thx]
Here is why Israel thinks it should exist and be a member in good standing at the UN:

1) I torture UN workers
2) I bomb embassies
3) I refuse to declare my official borders as I want more and more of other countries’ (plural) land
4) I openly interfere in the affairs of other countries.
5) All criticism by any member of the World Community just reinforces my sense of privileged Victimhood
6) I never tell a lie as I have no concept. I only know what serves me.
7) I invented the Samson Option and will take the rest of you with me.
8) I commit collective punishment
9) I kidnap thousands, including children, with no judicial oversight
10) I will commit torture if I see fit and even if I don’t
11) I oppress occupied inhabitants and enjoy doing so
12) I commit rape with impunity against mine enemies
13) I shoot little boys in the genitals
14) I steal land with impunity
15) I murder with impunity
16) I commit premeditated Genocide
17) I look forward to war and prod my neighbors for more
18) I need money, send a check
19) I commit false flags and if friends or even my own people are sacrificed so be it.
20) I implement the Hannibal Doctrine
21) Treachery and betrayal of my own people are a means to an end
22) I support and conduct terrorism.
23) I attract starving civilians, women and children, with food aid and then murder them in cold blood.
24) I know that I can count on other amoral nations to support my wars, oppression and theft.
25) I know that the World Community will not stop me as I commit future Genocides
26) I target aid trucks and kill their workers;
27) I especially target hospitals;
28) I kill civilian prisoners, women and children and old people.
29) I use my lobbyists to attack, intimidate and silence freedom of speech
30) I torture and kill UN workers and their dependents
31) I protected Zionist perpetrators of the Holocaust and lie about their role.
32) I cannibalize living Palestinian captives for their internal organs
33) I use human shields
34) I kill and kill and kill as many journalists as I can find
35) I am a refuge for criminals; not limited to: fugitive pedophiles and US traitors
36) I take delight in being a hyper-sadist and proudly boast of it; “1 shot 2 kills”
37) I use starvation as both a tactic and for my strategic goal of Genocide.
38) I use chemical and biological weapons on Palestinians and my neighbors.
39) I burn babies alive with impunity.
40) Most of my people support mass murder, racism and theft, and thus make known the true nature and meaning of Israel.

Those that would make it illegal to protest against Genocide support the Psychopathic Genocidal Entity that has given voice to the urge to kill us all (Samson Option). When madness speaks people had darn well be on the alert.
====
And this is 2025, for heck’s sake, not 1970. The world knows this entity for what it is.
To discuss continuing it’s existence is an insult to civilization.
History will wonder at this era.

The two state solution was never serious. It has always been used as a panacea to manipulate both Israel and the Palestinians. Israel would be told to do x or y or else there will be a two state solution. Palestinians were to behave and not bother Israel or else there would be no two state solution. It has always been virtue signaling, even before the term was coined, by the supporters of the status quo to make themselves feel better about the apartheid state.

Posted by: Matt | Aug 1 2025 16:03 utc | 16

This isn’t a “solution.” It’s a settlement of guilt, for everyone but Palestinians.

The previous settlement of guilt was regular contributions to UNWRA.
You know, the UN organisation that delivered 500 trucks of food and supplies to Gaza every day.
The one that the western countries shafted in accepting the israeli lie of invovlement on October 7th and used as a story to drown the Jan 2024 ICJ plausible genocide ruling.
Now Gaza needs 600 trucks a day we are told.

The West wants to create an alibi under which it can then turn Israeli/American guilt into that of the victim.
Pure cosmetics and propaganda, which works in the West because the mainstream media there are in lockstep with the government.
Today’s announcement by the US government that it is demanding the Nobel Peace Prize for Trump is particularly “funny.” (That’s the only thing he cares about, his own ego.)

Posted by: smartfox | Aug 1 2025 16:21 utc | 20

If the two states created by the UN in 1947 cannot coexist then Israel must be destroyed. The only way to destroy Israel is mass mobilization of the billions of people who oppose the extermination of Palestinians. Their mobilization is prevented by the hegemonic power of Western capital, which wields subjective dominance over the masses allowing for a genocide to be perpetrated for all to witness. Not only must Israel be overthrown.

Posted by: Keme | Aug 1 2025 16:22 utc | 21

Reservations do not become states.
In principle, a healthy state does not support sick things.
We all have a piece of the puzzle in our hands, general strike or disease wave.
The resistance has to be positivised. Education provides support.

Palestinians, like other Arab peoples, are counted among the Semitic peoples in a broader sense, as they speak a Semitic language (Arabic) and come from a region that was historically labelled “Semitic”. The term “Semitic” comes from linguistics and originally refers to peoples who speak Semitic languages, including Arabic, Hebrew and Aramaic. ”
Let’s go to the demonstration against anti-Semitism!
But let’s not kid ourselves. Those who find their happiness in political parties and their feeding troughs will not be impressed.
What do you think will happen if a thief roams through your house and you just give him a dirty look?

Posted by: BlindSpot | Aug 1 2025 16:23 utc | 22

I’m pretty sure regular readers would agree with almost everything except the MAGA/Brexit line:
A state without control over its borders, economy, or defense is not sovereign
And even there, if you got rid of the “control over its borders” and it’s implication that uncontrolled-mass-migration is not a fundamental human right you’d have total consensuses with the few outliers who thought DC’s DNC/3LA decades long copulation must be broken.
Understanding that “liberals/Lefties” in the US have internalized 35 years of propaganda, it is now an article of faith that uncontrolled-mass-migration is a “good-thing”, with more, the merrier. Which is an interesting development as the policy of “liberals/Lefties” in the US was the exact opposite during the FDR-years [circa 1932-78] before FDRism was expunged from the D-party by the DLC/DNCers proselytizing Wilsonian-policies in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
So where am I going with this jag? Well, while B’s hand wringing does a good job of virtue-signaling it does nothing for the Palestinians.
Nobody in the US can break Israel’s parasitic habitation of the US-Governmental body. Nobody who is not an Israeli/Israeli-American/Israel-Firster or conversely, does not fall into some “despicable” category that is easily controlled is allowed into power by the Israeli/Israeli-controlled-3LAs. This is writ in stone and can not be altered by internal forces. So are we left with only hand-wringing and virtue-signaling? I think not.
While genocide/ethnic cleansing is the goal of Israeli, Israeli-American, Israel-Firsters, fighting it is useless in this time frame. The least cruel thing, at this point in time, is to facilitate these “Latter-Day-Nazis” wishes. Better a “Dunkirk” than a Israeli-Death-Camp…yes?
We should demand that since genocide/ethnic cleansing is the goal of Israel, those states that support Israel’s policy take in the Palestinians and compensate them. The funding of which will be a national-sales-tax called the Support-Israeli-Extermination-Fund. By arguing for Israel’s goals and putting a price tag on it, we put these “Latter-Day-Nazis” on full display. While this may appear an accommodation of the unthinkable it is not a surrender but, an orderly retreat.

Thanks for the posting b
The call for a Palestinian state looks to me in my civilization war context to be similar to Russia wanting NATO to roll back to 1997 status. While they may seem like core demands, they only seem so within the context of ongoing colonial life under my God Of Mammon cult Western empire.
Most of the world’s conflicts can be traced back to the control efforts of empire that are now failing at the “top” level so divide-and-conquer is being stirred all over the wold in desperation.
I will do my feel-good effort of standing with a Palestine flag in front of my local courthouse for an hour tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if more Americans are changing their opinion of Occupied Palestine and show us/Palestine support.

The Palestinian people will never stop their resistance unless and until the lands that were stolen from them by force in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973 are returned to their rightful owners.
The Israeli state never followed the UN mandate (which in itself was illegal) and began a terror campaign against Palestinians forcing them off their farms, vineyards, pasture lands, and then seizing the land for themselves, an outright expropriation of property.
And the settlers need to be removed and resettled in the Ukraine where they belong in the first place.
A rump two state solution under IDF dominance would never be successful.

What is offered to the Palestinians as a “state” is a Ghetto-State or a “reservation” like the native indians in USA, as also were the “Zululand” or “Bantustan” in South Africa, because is the same game, an apartheid entity mantain some people confined in some territory without any real safety or sovereignity subject to the periodic abuse of the child-murderers.
The solution is the same solution than in South Africa, the end of the apartheid state and all people with the same rights, but after 80 years of genocide, I am affraid the only real solution is the expulsion of the child-murderers to their countries of origin.

On the micro level you have English right wing conservatives and American right wing conservatives using fascist squads to chase immigrants out of their countries.
Claiming they are the victims and their christian family values are under attack. Waving Israeli flags while they do it.
On the macro level you have had English right wing conservatives and American right wing conservatives destroying civilisations worldwide for hundreds of years.
Claiming they are the victims wrapped in their own flags claiming Christianity was under attack.
They are sick in the head.
Us Scots know all about it and so do the Irish.
Of course why Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage cheer the genocide in Gaza. Claiming that they represent the whole of the UK.
They don’t it is right wing Conservative England they represent. It’s England that’s turned fascist not the rest of the UK. Crying wolf through their megaphones.
Always somebody else’s fault and never the fault of the English. Never the art laffer trickle down they ALWAYS implement when they have power. That has caused all of this mess in the first place. The heart beat of austerity and the true threat to their family values.
Just look at the state of these fuckers.. Waving their Israeli flags.

The conservative right say they support free speech. Far right speech is the only speech they promote. Try and cancel everything else.
This big right wing ENGLISH Conservative march they have planned in London is going to be one big shitshow of fascism.
The voters are going to fall for this right wing populist scam the exact same way American voters fell for the Trump scam.

No, it is still better that those countries that support the genocidal entity accept the child-murderers settlers in their country, because at the end is where they belong. So those countries have to take care of thousand of people with the habit of murder children, so be careful with them.
For everyone in USA now is clear which small entity control the power in the Empire, and all the MAGA base start to realize that what they think they choose was, in fact, a mere puppet of zionists,a traitor and probably a pedophile, and that is a good think, the mind of the people is starting to change and more and more people are asking the same question: why in hell this small entity is dictating our “poweful” leaders what to do and oppose the opinion of an majority of their base?
The days of the genocidal entity are numbered, as well as the day of the US Empire, because at the end the two have almost the same structure of power

Posted by: Dave | Aug 1 2025 17:57 utc | 43

Imo the most important point made by this summary from Hala Jaber is to show how absolutely insincere and deceptive the “leaders” of the world are (and in particular in Europe including Russia, but I include everyone everywhere because the differences are so small as to not result in anything in practice).
If everybody in Europe understood this and despised their duplicity and feigned “care” then the scumbags could all be voted out, jailed, and/or otherwise rebelled at.
First come, first serve.
“Two state” is a lie. It was always a lie. It is an old lie. It is a zionist lie and everyone who repeats it is a zionist or zionism supporter whether they realize it or not.

Thank you, Bernard for Jaber’s powerful article, presenting self-evident truth with concise, inarguable clarity. It is not complicated at all. The interminable “peace process” isn’t merely an illusory mirage. It has since its inception, cynically exploited “the two-state solution” as the foundation for “the final solution to the Palestinian problem”. The sadistic Satanic death cult’s holocaust in Gaza today is the direct fruit of the two-state solution. Israel has forfeited its own right to statehood and must be dismantled, from the river to the sea.

This PR shows us the world needs more morality. And places where it is read and discussed.
A sort of opensource citizen constant trial.
Moral stances, true facts need to be seen and expanded.
In an period of desintegration of our western common sense (if ever present), this step is becoming obvious and urgent.
We need citizen owned computerized structures.
Probably Russia Iran and China might help citizens of the world to build a clean morality.
Probably it is well on its way.
We need tools to be active citizens.

The Western World has been held hostage by the oligarchs of colonization in Africa and South America and those states that were complicit by using acts of terror: torture, murder and indefinite detention. Operation Mockingbird amidst disinformation never ended …

The real solution is a revolutionary Caliphate, similar to Iran. In a multi-ethnic and multi-denominational region, only Iran has successfully included everyone, Christian, Muslim, and Jew.
Lebanon has tried, but democracy and colonialism have sabotaged it.
Today, the only governments worth a damn have a revolutionary bent.
Iran
Sahel states
DPRK
China
etc.
Without honesty, morality cannot exist.

They don’t call it terrorism when the bombs are American.
They don’t call it extremism when the ideology is Zionism.
They don’t call it madness when the target is Arab, Black, Muslim, or unaligned.
The West invented the category of the “rational actor” not to describe its own behavior, but to deny the sanity of anyone who refuses to kneel.
In this moral theater, resistance is always madness.

Israel plays the role of the forward operating base.

But the hand holding that spear stretches across oceans and speaks the language of exceptionalism, profit, and power.

It keeps being called a genocide. But the word, in the context of the Palestinians, has lost its luster. The word that perfectly describes their dilemma is…extinction. Driven in oblivion and disappearance. Like the dinosaurs, the Tasmanian tiger, the wooly mammoth and the Dodo bird. Now add the Palestinians to this list.

I cannot see that even implementation of UN Resolution 181 would answer. This Resolution was followed by Resolution 194 that recognised the right of return. The two Resolutions have equal force.
“The United Nations General Assembly adopts resolution 194 (III), resolving that “refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law or equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible.”

What the world is offering Palestinians isn’t a state.
I am not sure if it is the world’s business.
The messmakers here, who should bear the burden, are Israel, the US, and a bunch of European and Arab states, me thinks.
Turning Gaza into glass, to use VP Cheney’s words from a long time ago, would be one solution.

The mighty Russian Federation (RUF) keeps the ‘dead hand‘ alive and well and that’s in essence what really matters at the end of the day. The Outlaw US of A under the ‘walking-dead‘ captain Trump should be seriously concerned. Only the IRI can take care of those.

Posted by: pepe | Aug 1 2025 19:53 utc | 66

Only a one state solution will bring peace – restore Palestine.
Over a century since the Balfour declaration, no indication has emerged that Zionism will be other than what is seen today, a state autocracy controlled by Zionist thugs, Zionist thieves, Zionist terrorists and truth-less Zionists, all pretending to be Jews. Only the wealth and power of a state are of Zionist interest, nothing more. Only one altered, deviated from the Zionist policy and they were assassinated.
The diplomatic papers at the U.N. founding the two states of Israel and for the Palestinian state to be formed were faulty. All legal documents concerning agreements, contracts and the like have clauses defining terms and conditions. That the Israeli state had no defined borders invalidates it from being valid. The state of Israel is illegal from the beginning. It is time now to end that state altogether, underlined by the history that state was put, the eradication of Palestinian’s land and now the extermination by genocide of the Palestinians themselves. There is a fortune in petroleum held in Palestine’s Gaza to make the murder pay off.
One state: Palestine restored. Exterminate Zionism. Terminate the Israel project. Israeli’s interests there are forfeit – forever.
White House Occupant #47 enjoys fellatio with the Zionist leadership, apparently completely unconcerned witha massive loss of civilian life by military attack on the Gza outdoor prision while cutting down 400+ U.N. aid stations (excluding U.N. personnel from Israel itself)to only 4 American ‘humanitarian’ aid points located in the crosshairs of Israeli’s moral assassins on all who approach the points. Blowback on its way.

And one has to ask, by what right did a Western dominated organisation dispossess the Palestinians of their land in the first place?
@ English Outsider | Aug 1 2025 19:15 utc | 60

By what right? The right to slaughter Palestinians — to regard Palestine as a “land without people,” as theirs to bestow on poor harassed Jews — originated with fanatical, evangelical Christian Zionists seizing reigns of power in UK & USA.
A national petition prepared by William E. Blackstone, signed by movers & shakers such as JD Rockerfeller & JP Morgan, made the following argument to Benjamin Harrison — the Blackstone Memorial — in 1891:

Why not give Palestine back to them again? According to God’s distribution of nations it is their home, an inalienable possession from which they were expelled by force. Under their cultivation it was a remarkably fruitful land sustaining millions of Israelites who industrially tilled its hillsides and valleys. They were agriculturists and producers as well as a nation of great commercial importance – the center of civilization and religion.
Why shall not the powers which under the treaty of Berlin, in 1878, gave Bulgaria to the Bulgarians and Servia to the Servians now give Palestine back to the Jews?

This marked the ill-fated inception, I believe, of Christian Zionism as a political force in USA. I’m afraid the reasons why have always been mixed up with the apocalyptic visions of very weird, ultimately nihilistic Christians, who want to see all Jews sent to the Holy Land so than Jesus can return to bring down the curtain on Earthly life. Whoopee.

Because the jews accepted to be inserted into the cult of zionism in the first place.
Instead of becoming assimilated like they first intended.
Only later they listened to the anglosaxon masters and became the isolated sect that offers the anglosaxons a handle on the financiers.
Houston Stewart Chamberlain pleaded to the germans not to let the jews become assimilated.
Why?
Because it would have been much more difficult to separate the jews from the host as would have been required when using them as a handle on the financiers.
Actually what constitutes that handle would be real or perceived threats against the sect members.

In times of war, occupation, and genocide the first people that are always targeted are the scholars and intellectuals. Not those necessarily with money, capital, property, power or influence but those who are contributing ideas and discourse in the realm of human thought.
Free thinkers are the ones who lead revolutions, allow people to wakeup, think beyond the current reality and use knowledge to mobilize the oppressed. They are the biggest threat to the ruling class, to imperialism and to the opposition. This is why say they say knowledge is power. Education for gaining money keeps man bound to the current reality but learning for the sake of education itself is what ends up being the driving force to all human progress and development.

This whole business of Western “leaderships recognising a Palestinian State” looks to me like an attempt to defuse the very real political pressure that is growing at a grass-roots level, fuelled by the grotesque images of the consequences of the genocidal apartheid entity’s actions.
I happened to watch TV coverage of the Giro d’Italia cycle race earlier this year, and the number of Palestinian flags being flown by the crowds was such that the broadcaster could not help but show them, along with slogans painted on the roads, especially the steep climbs.
The elites have got themselves a big problem, the revulsion felt by much of humanity is feeding into political activity in all sorts of unexpected ways.

Same right of conquest that every nation state is based on … without a doubt Islam has made this claim many times and in many places. Long ago what is now Pakistan used to be Hindu.
The power of the United Nations is nothing more or less than the residual of the military pact signed in January 1942 in response to Pearl Harbour … a military pact ultimately leading to victory and the UN assigned the task of ongoing supervision. The very core basis of the UN is a claimed right based on conquest through force of arms … this automatically implies consent to the legitimacy of every other successful conquest else the UN itself would have no legitimacy.
Two states go in, one state comes out … the Thunderdome solution.

For decades, Israel has exploited the Holocaust and weaponised accusations of antisemitism to silence dissent, deflect criticism, and cloak its actions in perpetual victimhood. That narrative has collapsed.
The world now sees you not as the victim, but as the architect of a modern genocide. You are responsible for the Palestinian Holocaust—a deliberate campaign of ethnic cleansing, mass starvation, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and the systematic annihilation of an entire people under the banner of “security.”
You have turned Gaza into a graveyard, and proudly claimed the title of the most ruthless entity when it comes to killing children and women in the 21st century. No regime in recent history has made such mass murder so casual, so systematic, so televised.
You have buried whatever claim you had to morality—if any ever existed—beneath the rubble of hospitals, schools, and refugee camps. The world will not remember your justifications, your propaganda, or your pleas for exceptionalism. It will remember your crimes.
You have cultivated global contempt. Through your actions, you have become one of the most reviled entities in the modern world.
This is the consequence of your choices, your bombs, your doing in the face of massacre, and your pride in devastation.
History and your lobbies no longer shield you. It will always indict you

The reason it freaks the Israelis out is that simply recognising a Palestinian state is to recognise the right of Palestinian land to exist. That such a thing as a Palestian exists and that this might mean the natives can lay claim to their rightful land, all of it, that the refugees can claim a right to return.
What the Israelis want is to destroy the Palestinians, push them off into other countries, have them given citizenship of other countries and nunllify their right to return once the bulk of them from Gaza and the West Bank are expelled. They want a legal claim of right to return to be removed.
They aren’t concerned about it vis-a-vis it contributing to a true two state solution cutting off the land they covet in the West Band and Gaza.
