Did anyone here follow his reporting? The Ukraine conflict is much closer to my heart, so I’m afraid I don’t actively follow what’s going on in Gaza, at least in terms of seeking out coverage. Although it’s obvious that conflict-zone reporting is a dangerous occupation, it still comes as a shock when the person that has served as your guide on the ground suddenly ceases to be. I can still remember some of the faces of guys and girls in Russian news reports who are no longer with us. Particularly one, very pretty Russian girl, who had a close call with a IED booby trap that injured her leg, and who then went back after recovering, to get blown to bits a week later, very tragic. RIP to this young man and hats off to all real journalists, to those who’re willing to risk their skin to show and tell the truth.

As for those who killed him and the other journalists, they degrade themselves by repeating lies about him being a member of Hamas, which they certainly don’t believe themselves, yet expect others to believe. The problem isn’t in anyone’s genes; it’s in the heads of people who think they’re ‘god’s chosen people’ and therefore think they literally have a god-given right to commit murder, and teach their children to think the same. The problem will persist until the religion (and all derivative works) is as dead as Norse, Greek, and Roman mythology.

I strongly favor the “no more real than any other deity some fraud made up” but even supposing the Old Testament to be an accurate description of it, no decent moral human being would worship such a monster.

My question is – why this particular demographic?
Are the elderly over represented in these protests? I was under the impression the different age groups are fairly evenly distributed.
Or is this demographic seen as to be more ‘dangerous’ than the younger protesters? I don’t mean ‘dangerous’ in the physical way.
What is the ethnic breakdown of those arrested?
I would suggest that there is a reason this particular demographic has been targeted, but I am not sure why.
