thanks for trying to engage me juliania! i am just watching the last half on your recommendation now.. i like alex krainer and the insights he brings to any conversation… however, closer to the time of this time – and i am not sure if you are asking for my feedback on the tariff agreement voy leyen agreed to with trump – i shared a link, which articulates quite well, in the 2nd half of this article by warwick powell, the financial scheme and game of charades behind this.. check out the last half of this link –

as for what alex is saying around the 38/39 minute mark, the european union was designed by the west to screw the european countries.. it seems to be working as intended.. just who came up with the idea – not sure – usa, uk, or some financial schemer – but it essentially ties the hands of each country and gives away any sovereignty they had previous to this agreement… von leyen is just serving these same interests, but there is a lot of hypotheticals in all of this, that may not pan out as described.. in the short term it is a clear win for trump…
i was watching the nima interview with john helmer from yesterday.. that is what i watched today… i will watch the rest of this and get back to you if i hear alex krainer saying anything outstanding that i need to comment on further… thanks!

Posted by: james | Aug 1 2025 0:50 utc | 104

my view on – 38 minutes to the end of this video.. alex krainer is articulating a particular viewpoint on trump which he has said for some time.. he essentially believes in the positive agenda of trump and believes that he is playing off both sides to his own advantage… it is a very idealistic view he has on trump as being a master at deception and double guessing as to his actual intent.. it is certainly an attractive presentation of trump that alex cultivates.. i can go along with some of it, but not all of it.. i really don’t think he is that bright, or that he is in control of it all.. in fact, i think trump is guided by his own self interest and from a very egocentric and narcissistic position..
krainer is ”giving trump the benefit of the doubt’ and that is fine as far as it goes, but i think it is dismissive of any type of analysis of his mental clarity or health at this point.. he does mention 2 things in trumps first term which were clearly very big mistakes – killing the iran revolution guard leader – solomieni, and exiting the inf treaty… now that us nuclear weapons have been placed on uk soil the past month or so – is this another bluff on trumps part to get an agreement with russia on a nuclear treaty?? again krainer seems to think it is all a part of trumps superior game playing and i tend to see it more as a reflection of his lack character and likely to lead to someone else having to fix the mess he has created..
i like nima… i found out recently he is brazilian.. i was curious about that…
krainer is more right then wrong.. i especially like the fact he says it is impossible for anyone to know what is happening here with any certainty.. i agree with him on this.. however, i think he is more idealistic then me and i don’t think trump is a strong contender for fooling everyone in his poker games around the world.. my thinking is perhaps more along the lines of john helmers who sees trump as a gambling schemer, but not realizing not everyone is going to play along with him.. some are going to call his bluff, and that would definitely be russia and china and probably india… so, we’ll see soon enough.
i do agree with krainer on his views on the uk 1 hour 2 minutes in) – a master meddler here, hoping for some nuclear event, so they can come in and dictate the new terms of agreement.. i distrust the uk way more then the usa, or i should say the financial elite running the uk- way more.. these are the folks truly gambling with people’s lives in the worst possible way..
it is interesting krainer mentions the stand down orders for israel oct 7th, 2023.. i would like krainer or someone to elaborate on these records that have been revealed as i haven’t heard about it.. i do believe it – and heard it right at the time, but have they actually gotten clear proof of this now?? this is from 1 hour 3- or 4 minutes in..
thanks again juliania, for engaging me and asking what i think!!

quote from today indian punchline –
“Yesterday, in a second post on Truth Social, Trump all but accused India of being Russia’s ally: “I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India… Likewise, Russia and the USA do almost no business together. Let’s keep it that way… ”
Trump’s spiteful outbursts reveal quite a bit of unspoken truth. He has no respect for India, or Modi government. It is doubtful if he’d dare to speak about Indira Gandhi’s India with such contempt. There is something here to introspect seriously. What is this special relationship that our elites get so excited about?
Trump estimates that the Indian elites lack self-respect and grit to stand up to his bullying. Self-respect, of course, is not a virtue that can be cultivated; it is an innate trait; some are born with it, most do not have it in a feudal society.”

The little coke head president of France says the EU is not feared enough – I’m sure there are many African citizens past and present, who greatly feared European imperialism/colonialism – which plundered and murdered its way across the continent, and to some extent it still does.
“French President Emmanuel Macron has criticized the newly signed EU-US trade deal, stating that the bloc was not “feared enough” during negotiations, according to sources cited by Euractiv.
The agreement, concluded on Sunday during talks between US President Donald Trump and European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen at Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland, sets a 15% tariff on the majority of EU exports to the US. As part of the deal, Brussels also committed to investing $600 billion in the US economy and buying $750 billion in American energy over the next three years. The US, however, will not face any EU tariffs on its exports.
“To be free, you have to be feared, and we haven’t been feared enough,” Macron told the Council of Ministers in Paris on Wednesday, according to two attendees present during the meeting.”

Eastern European diplomats might be concerned about the return of cheap energy to their countries – but I bet their citizens are longing for its return, who doesn’t want cheap energy? These diplomats have their own agenda, which doesn’t include helping their own citizens economically – if the below is anything to go by.
“Eastern European diplomats are concerned that US President Donald Trump could offer Moscow sweeping concessions and “enormous economic deals” to settle the Ukraine conflict, Politico has reported.
Citing Eastern European officials, US experts, and industry insiders, the outlet suggested on Thursday that a Trump-led peace initiative might involve lifting sanctions on Russian energy – a move described as a “sledgehammer that could smash” Western efforts to isolate Moscow.
“Of course, we are concerned about the talk of a return to Russian energy, and the lack of clarity about the US’ position,” an Eastern European official said.”

Which is more important BRICS or SCO?
Incase everyone hasn’t yet got it.
BRICS are not the real rivals to the unipolar – there are too many satraps in it.
It’s the SCO which has been getting ready for 26 years as a true mutual security alliance.

Iran’s Foreign Minister stated:
🔹 “The US must agree to compensation before the start of nuclear talks.
🔹 They must explain why they attacked us in the middle of negotiations.
🔹 They must provide firm guarantees that it will not happen again.
🔹 We need real and confidential steps from their side.
🔹 As long as Trump insists on the complete elimination of Iranian uranium enrichment, an agreement will not be possible.
🔹 Currently, there is no reason to negotiate with the Europeans – neither can they lift sanctions nor take any concrete action.
🔹 If they activate the mechanism to reinstate sanctions, it means they have nothing left.”

As thousand rally in Argentina due to rising hunger – Trumps puppet president in Argentina Milei face his own trials.
“Argentine President Javier Milei is facing threats of impeachment and legal action following his controversial promotion of a cryptocurrency that led to huge financial losses for investors in the Latin American country.
Opposition lawmakers at the Argentinean parliament threatened on Monday to initiate impeachment proceedings against Milei after he touted a sham cryptocurrency token which allowed a handful of con artists to dupe crypto owners out of hundreds of millions of dollars in a single day.
Milei took to X on Friday to endorse the $LIBRA coin, describing it as a tool to support small businesses and start-ups.
Milei’s endorsement sent the coin’s value soaring, but when he deleted the post hours later, its price plummeted, wiping out investor funds.
Members of Argentina’s opposition have since announced plans to initiate impeachment proceedings, while lawyers filed fraud complaints in the country’s criminal court on Sunday.
Critics accused the Argentine president of orchestrating a “rug pull”—a scam in which cryptocurrency promoters inflate a coin’s value before abandoning it, leaving investors with heavy losses. ”

Most of their natural resources are in areas that need modern equipment to reach. The last time they pushed hard to reach them, they needed the combined efforts of top western companies and decades to actually tap them.
Welp, they’ve kicked out all those companies and burned them so badly that they will never do anything for Russia again. Their own people cannot do it. Any manufacturing base left is committed to making military equipment. And if they are taking Chinese resources, it is very likely that China will eventually just *take* whatever comes out, like they do everywhere else that they “lend” money.
In any case, their natural resources are as good to them as having a coin account that you lost the password to does for you. Theoretically it is there, but worthless.
Russia has burned through most of its stockpile. Nobody can say for certain when the whole rotten thing is just going to collapse in on itself, but the day is coming.

What is after Trump?
Tucker Carlson versus Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes is one possibility
Carlson is a Nordic/Germanic surname
“According to the 2010 United States Census, Carlson is the 252 nd most common surname in the United States, belonging to 120,552 individuals. Carlson is most common among White (94.8%) individuals.”
Ocasio is Spanish, mainly associated with Puerto Rico, Cortes is Spanish originating in Iberia
“According to the 2010 United States Census Ocasio is the 3815 th most common surname in the United States, belonging to 9293 individuals. Ocasio is most common among Hispanic/Latino (92.05%) individuals”
Carlson is campaigning now for 2028, using his high profile on social media to flesh out his “MAGA 2.0” platform – the brand remains but his iteration includes “Compassionate Conservatism” thus his focus on Gaza and criticism of Israel’s iron grip on the United States of America’s executive branch. I haven’t heard him railing against extreme wealth. C Owens and I Carrol, two social media personalities offer content broadly supportive of Carlson’s platform. At CPAC Carlson used several talking points from Z Mamdani’s recent Primary victory in New York including housing affordability, promotion of civilian infrastructure and creating the conditions whereby younger people can still achieve the “American Dream”
Ocasio-Cortes has been annointed by acceptable rebel and left elder statesman B Sanders during the recent “No Kings” performance. Criticism of Israel is muted and two years after “7th October” , the mantra “Israel has the right to defend itself” is still heard. According to the “No Kings” platform, oligarchy and wealth extremism are big issues to Ocasio-Cortes blocking the realisation of the “American Dream” she believes
I find myself contrasting Carlson’s hack, unbelieving facial expressions to Ocasio-Cortes wittering about her time as a waitress, a key point of “No Kings”

MOTHMAN – “What happened to the American Dream?”
THE COMEDIAN – “It came true. You’re looking at it

@james | Aug 1 2025 4:06 utc:
James, thx for posting the link and excerpt to MK Bramakumar’s most recent essay.
India has got its hands full; plenty of “who are we, and where are we going” decisions to make, just like the U.S. does.
Thanks also to will moon | Aug 1 2025 10:42 utc, above, who’s asking the “what next” question re: the U.S.
I would likely vote in favor of Carlson if the choice was between Ocasio-Cortez and Carlson. I am not yet taking Ocasio-Cortes seriously. Does the Bar have any links to Ocasio-Cortez economic policy plans?
So far, all I can find is Ocasio-Cortez’ Congressional bio, which is thin gruel. Here’s the link to it.
In contrast, here’s what I can find from Carlson: nothing.
Yep, I searched for “tucker carlson economic policy plan” and got zip.
I do see lots of Carlson interviews – substantive ones – on the subject of economic policy, but interviewing others isn’t the same as developing a coherent policy. Not the same at all.
So, with all that in mind, it’s not time to take Carlson seriously either.
But Carlson has a communications platform; he owns it. He can reach millions of people; that’s in his favor. He’s got to evolve from commentator to policy-maker, and from policy-maker to political team-builder. He may be able to do that. We’ll see shortly.

Trump Modifies Global Tariffs Hours Before Deadline
https://www.rt.com/news/622352-trump-tariffs-list-deadline/
“US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order extending a self-imposed Aug 1 deadline for introducing tariffs by a week. The sweeping measure adjusts tariffs for dozens of countries, with some seeing increaess, while select nations secured last minute reprieves.
Trump also abruptly raised tariffs on Canada to 35% from 25%, citing Ottawa’s ‘continued inaction’ in curbing fentanyl trafficking into the US. Tensions between Warshington escalated in recent weeks after Trump criticized Canada for supporting Palestinian statehood, saying it would ‘make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them…’

Would tend to agree on the point you make about policy Tom, or the lack of it lol but maybe that is the giveaway? It means “the donors” can write the policy as they give the cash – two cyphers with no clear policy positions is the billionaires template for “Democracy” in the United States and has been for a while now. In lieu of policy the voters are offered Obama’s “Yes! We can” (translation – No you can’t) and Trump’s “Lock her up!” (translation – Don’t lock her up), Brandon’s 2020 “I’m not Trump” (trans – I’m nobody) and Daddy in 2024 “Stop the PDF files! (trans – PDF files, there ain’t no such thing!)
If you haven’t seen Carlson at CPAC, take a look – a few minutes should be enough. As I said above, several talking points lifted directly from the platform of “Democratic Socialist” Zohran Mamdani’s wildly successful Primary run, he is beginning to flesh out the policy of “MAGA 2.0”. Mamdani got a lot of votes from the young and first time voters, traditionally considered constituencies that are hard to reach and motivate. In this sense Mamdani’s victory was historic, even though he is not yet Mayor of New York I think these two voting blocks might well decide the next presidential election. Carlson talking about young people being unable to get on the housing ladder at CPAC, of all places, left me feeling a new epoch is being born
If a presidential candidate can get the young and first time voters to participate whilst carrying the imprimatur of the Dem/Repub duopoly, we’re talking about landslide victories and overwhelming mandates. The United States political system is threadbare and of ill repute – renewal or dissolution are the only options, as far as I can see.

I can see the likes of the little French coke head Macron – sending in assassination teams to Africa nations that want to use their won asset, for the benefit of their own people.
“Captain Traoré was right. After warning that Western powers would suffer once they were pushed out of Africa, things are now going just as he said.
France is shutting down more and more of its factories. Under President Emmanuel Macron, the people were promised that factories would return and jobs would grow. But the truth is the opposite.
In just the last 12 months, 58 factories have closed in France.
That includes 23 factory closures between July and December 2025 — after already losing 35 in late 2024.
These shutdowns are hitting agriculture, car factories, steel, and metal industries.
High energy prices are making it too expensive to keep factories open.
France and the rest of Europe are struggling to afford the energy they need.
Niger’s uranium, which powered many nuclear plants in France, is now out of reach after African nations took control of their own resources.
Without cheap energy, countries like France are finding it hard to run businesses and keep people employed. Many experts say more factory shutdowns are coming.
This could change the balance of power between Africa and Europe.
For years, Europe took resources from Africa to build itself up. Now that African countries like Niger are saying “no more,” we’re starting to see the effects. As Africa rises, Europe faces a deepening crisis”

Smoking Gun: Declassified Durham Appendix Confirms Hillary Clinton Plan To Smear Trump, Use FBI ‘To Put More Oil On The Fire’
quote

And now we have the Durham annex… which includes a 2016 memorandum alleging that Russian intelligence knew of a Clinton campaign plan to tie Trump to Russian hackers. This memo claims the plan was designed to “distract the [American] public from the Clinton email server scandal.” Gabbard’s HPSCI report similarly references Russian intelligence claiming Clinton’s campaign discussed linking Putin to Trump.

Clinton’s Approval of Smear Campaign: Pages 4 and 5 of the annex, highlighted in X posts, contain a 2016 memorandum alleging that Clinton personally approved a plan on July 26, 2016, to frame Trump with Russian hacking claims. The memo suggests this was to distract from her email scandal, with coordination involving DNC leadership and outside groups.
Russian Intelligence Awareness: The annex confirms that Russian intelligence was aware of this plan, which aligns with Gabbard’s claim that the FBI and CIA had access to this information but pursued the Trump-Russia narrative anyway.
No New Criminal Charges: Despite these allegations, Durham’s broader investigation (2019–2023) found no evidence of a criminal conspiracy among Obama officials to fabricate intelligence. He criticized the FBI’s handling of the Steele dossier and Crossfire Hurricane but did not charge Brennan, Clapper, or others named by Gabbard.

Thanks, psychohistorian! Our US politicians seem to have a short shelf life — that is, they don’t (unlike me) age well…;)
I am wondering if Trump’s obvious decline might not be a reason for him or his family to seek damage claims against the Russiagate perpetrators. Absent that highly illegal harassment he might actually have had two modestly good consecutive terms in office, instead of two separate nightmarish struggles to stay afloat, not to mention the lawsuits that came in between.
Wouldn’t that be a very good way to enlarge on the Russiagate focus? Even to the point of making it a class action suit, involving the US public — and when you come to think of it, the rest of the world as well. (I can dream, can’t I?)
No more million dollar weddings for you, congresspeople! And maybe life terms for the Court should get a second look as well — that Citizens United ruling doesn’t bear close scrutiny!

This video got me started down this line of thinking.
Then, with some further research, I came up with
Ayurvedic medicine was rolled into British medicine with no credit for the original source.
Silk and ceramic knowledge was “borrowed” from China, and advanced botanical research and techniques came from Japan, exported by the Dutch.
The Spanish and Portuguese “learned” about agriculture in the Americas and adopted many herbal treatments from the region.
African traditional herbal medicine was also “incorporated” into Western medicine.
To this day, traditional medicine is used in the West, where it is sometimes reinvented to be patented by big Pharma.
Colonial behavior is always the same, any time and anywhere.
Even now, China, Russia, and Iran are kicking the West’s ass when it comes to pure science.

When are the American people going to waken up, and stop this daylight robbery – this money should be invested in the States – and not some belligerent Neo-Nazi puppet state.
“A group of US senators have introduced a bill to allocate $54.6 billion in aid to Ukraine over the 2026 and 2027 fiscal years. President Donald Trump has repeatedly opposed more US aid to Ukraine, insisting Europe should cover the costs.
The bill includes provisions for direct military assistance to Kiev and proposes using income generated from frozen Russian assets held in the United States to help finance the aid. Moscow has repeatedly warned that the seizure or use of its sovereign assets would constitute a violation of international law.
The proposed legislation would also increase funding under Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) from the current $100 million to $6 billion annually. The mechanism allows the US president to authorize emergency weapons transfers without congressional approval.”

Ah, the same old story no matter where you go in the world, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
“The combined net worth of Russia’s wealthiest increased $20.4 billion in the first half of 2025, with commodities tycoons driving most gains, according to the latest data from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Vladimir Potanin, controlling shareholder of Norilsk Nickel, retained his position as Russia’s richest man after adding $2.5 billion to his fortune, which now stands at $30.4 billion.
Vagit Alekperov, founder of Lukoil, Russia’s second-largest oil company, secured second place with a net worth of $26.5 billion, adding $1.1 billion to his wealth.
Alexey Mordashov, chairman of steel producer Severstal, ranked third, gaining $1.9 billion to reach $25.2 billion.
Leonid Mikhelson, co-owner of Novatek, Russia’s second-largest natural gas producer, saw his net worth rise $1.4 billion, bringing his total to $23.8 billion.”

Utterly surreal that the Orange Zionist POTUS, Trump who is the main driving force behind backing the Zionists and their genocide – that, his name would even come up with this in mind, then again the Nobel Foundation isn’t really a neutral body – Obama’s award in 2009 illustrates this beautifully.
“US President Donald Trump should have received a Nobel Peace Prize years ago, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has claimed, citing his role in multiple international peace agreements. Despite several nominations during his first presidency, Trump has not won the award.
At a briefing in Washington on Thursday, Leavitt said Trump had intervened in conflicts such as the Thailand-Cambodia dispute by threatening to withhold US trade deals, which she claimed had led to a swift ceasefire.
“We had about one peace deal every month,” Leavitt stated.
Trump has repeatedly argued he deserves the award, saying in June that he has been overlooked because “they only give it to liberals.”
Several foreign leaders have recently nominated the US president for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu handed Trump a nomination letter earlier this month, crediting his role in mediating a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.”

The likes of Trump. Starmer and Merz, shouldn’t feel jealous – they have White Elephants of their own – in Israel and Ukraine, of course these White Elephants are kept afloat – at the expense of the US/UK/and EU taxpayers.
“Laos plans to gift a pair of elephants to Russia as a symbol of peace and prosperity, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith said on Thursday during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Sisoulith said the gesture would be in recognition of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“On behalf of the government and people of Laos, we wish to present the Russian Federation with a pair of elephants, which are a symbol of peace, friendship and well-being,” he said.
The elephants, Sisoulith added, would be sent to St. Petersburg, the city where he studied at the Herzen State Pedagogical Institute.
Putin responded with a smile, saying, “Thank you, they’ll come in handy.””

Rashid Khalidi, professor emeritus and author of The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine, has been forced to resign from teaching at Columbia.

Dear Acting President Shipman,
I am writing you an open letter since you have seen fit to communicate the recent decisions of the board of trustees and the administration in a similar fashion.
These decisions, taken in close collaboration with the Trump administration, have made it impossible for me to teach modern Middle East history, the field of my scholarship and teaching for more than 50 years, 23 of them at Columbia. Although I have retired, I was scheduled to teach a large lecture course on this topic in the fall as a “special lecturer”, but I cannot do so under the conditions Columbia has accepted by capitulating to the Trump administration in June.
Specifically, it is impossible to teach this course (and much else) in light of Columbia’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism…

But if need be, their own people (Spain in particular, since the US took the largest part of their empire away from them.) Fascists glory in leading their people to sacrifice for the Homeland. Although Starmer may want to divvy up Russia, he is very timid about demanding heroic struggle from the people in the glorious cause. If anything, Starmer smacks more of Vichy France (except the Vichyites wanted to hang on to their empire by collaborating with the Nazis, whose politics they liked so much better than the Popular Front—the woke of that period.)
And who does Starmer want to surrender to? Who is the man he will play Laval for?

This is a quick rapid fire summary of the whole Epstein controversy. To me, the huge mystery is why it’s covered up by Trump and his cabinet – to a visceral degree, as if they are nearly panicked. Given that Trump is tactless, vulgar and uninhibited – almost out of control – his avoidance and turning on his base is astounding. Who’s over Trump in authority?
My best guess concerns Schumer’s past remark that the intelligence community has ‘six ways to Sunday’ to get you. THEY may be the ultimate power of control in US government. This …..would also explain the huge contrast in which Trump 1.0 gets nailed and thwarted at every turn BUT Trump 2.0 is getting away with everything. He got to be President because they said , “OK”. A deal of sorts was made.

Epstein, Ukraine and Gaza are all part of the degeneration of the West. Epstein and Ukraine are horrible but Gaza shows that the US is solidly and openly supporting a genocide. All of this is for the benefit of the elites.
I’m sure the majority would rather see a focus on upgrading their socioeconomic status such as solving the problem of working people being homeless.

Unbeknownst to the humans, the bird was more than just paying attention. The Register asked how quickly the sound was added to the bird’s vocabularly. “Instantly!” replied Jordan. “I played it maybe 5 times as I truly didn’t expect him to pick it up unless he was exposed to it routinely and thought it was another bird living in his environment.”
“We lost a little bit of precision in the starling song, and he was about 50 to 60 Hz flat,” said Jordan in the video. “Musically, that means literally nothing up in the 4,000 Hz range.”
“This little bird successfully learned and emulated the sound in the exact same frequency range that he heard it, effectively transferring about 176 kilobytes of uncompressed information.”

Before I go back to your site for links and explanations, let me say that my little Russian Orthodox Church in Santa Fe deeply honored Valaam, and I have tapes of the monastic chants sung by the monks there. Valaam is Russia’s equivalent to Mount Athos for the Greeks. The monks who sailed to Alaska from Valaam to establish Orthodox ties with the natives there had among them Saint Herman, who is the first Orthodox Christian saint in America. Putin and Lukashenko have visited the monastery together before, soon after they solidified the ties between their states. (You did a substack on that visit back then.)
I should not have gone to Judge Napolitano’s conversation with Scott Ritter right before bed – it was so scary I didn’t watch all of it. This is so much better, thank you again. Equally serious but without the angst. I am again in debt to you, karlof1!

Below is a short summary of China economic focus reported by Xinhuanet

BEIJING, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) — China’s central bank on Friday pledged to step up its implementation of a moderately loose monetary policy and strengthen support for sci-tech innovation and consumption in the second half of the year.
At a mid-year meeting, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) said that financial support for economic growth, structural transformation and high-quality development has increased since the start of 2025.
As of the end of June, loans granted in the technology, green development and elderly care sectors have risen by 12.5 percent, 25.5 percent and 43 percent respectively year on year.
The PBOC said it will continue deploying a mix of monetary policy tools to ensure ample liquidity, support reasonable credit growth and strengthen the transmission of monetary policies.
Efforts will also be made to defuse local government debt risks, and to enhance risk monitoring and macroprudential oversight, according to the PBOC.

China continues to lead by example

In reaction to a tweet of Dimitri Medvedev, Donald Trump has moved two nuclear submarines closer to Russia.
When this is mentioned in the German press, the majority of readers’ comments are in favor of Trump. Sample comment:

Slowly the Russians will have to realize that you can’t get away with everything. A hard but useful lesson is needed.

And:

The right decision.

Surely Israel will not be invited to participate.
“The final countdown has begun for Intervision, an international music competition set to take place in Moscow. Tickets officially went on sale for the grand finale on Friday, marking 50 days until the event.
The announcement, which featured Olympic ice dancer and show producer Ilya Averbukh, was made during a live broadcast from RT’s studio on Moscow’s Manezhnaya Square.
“This is a very important and significant event,” Averbukh said during the broadcast. He added that Intervision aims to unite cultures through music and deliver a “world-class show.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree in February ordering the event to be held as part of international cultural cooperation. The contest is presented as an international alternative to Eurovision, providing a platform for global participation after Russia was banned from the European event in 2022.
This year’s competition will feature performances by artists from 21 countries, including both performers and national jurors from Russia, Cuba, Belarus, Serbia, Qatar and Venezuela.
The final will be held on September 20 at the Live Arena in Moscow. Organizers said the production team includes specialists behind major Russian events such as the Sochi Olympics opening ceremony, promising a high level of showmanship.”

This is all sabre rattling nonsense between Trump and Medvedev.
“US President Donald Trump has said he cannot treat any talk of nuclear weapons lightly and that the US must always be ”totally prepared” for any potential confrontation, responding to what he described as an inappropriate ”threat” issued by former Russian head of state Dmitry Medvedev.
At a White House press conference, Trump explained his order to deploy two nuclear submarines earlier on Friday. He had vowed to send them to what he called ”the appropriate regions” in a post on Truth Social in reaction to remarks made by Medvedev on social media.
“Well, we had to do that. We just have to be careful. A threat was made, and we didn’t think it was appropriate,” Trump said. ”So I do that on the basis of safety for our people. A threat was made by a former president of Russia, and we’re going to protect our people.””

US Goading Japan into Confrontation With China by John V. Walsh — Antiwar.com

Japan’s Abe Kowtows to U.S. Imperial Elite
Hundreds in NYC protest renewed Japanese militarism
by John V. Walsh / February 27th, 2013
Last October a delegation of the U.S. imperial elite slithered into Japan, led by Richard Armitage, former Undersecretary of State and Joseph Nye, Dean Emeritus of the Kennedy School of Empire – er, Government- at Dear Old Harvard. They came armed with a diatribe which they had co-authored for the Center For Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) the previous August wherein they belittled Japan for its pacifist stance, which put it in the humiliating status of “second-tier” nation. But the Armitage/Nye screed made it clear that Japan could rise from this degrading condition by taking up the cudgels against China. Not mentioned was that such a move could prove costly for the Land of the Rising Sun. But not to worry, Japanese brothers, Armitage and Nye implied, the U.S. Empire would back its Asian puppet from the other side of the Pacific, something that might one day come to be known as “leading from afar.” The Armitage/Nye paper was a transparent attempt to goad Japan into belligerence against China.

At first glance, the growing tension between China and Japan seems almost inexplicable. Massive anti-Japanese demonstrations in China over events that took place more than half a century ago? A heated exchange filled with mutual threats over an offshore petroleum field that Western oil companies think is not worth exploiting? Have a Shinto shrine and slanted textbooks really driven the two great Asian powers to the edge of a Cold War or worse?
No. While history does play a role in all this, if you want to understand the antagonism between Beijing and Tokyo, you have to start in Washington and, in particular, Washington state. In mid-April of this year, the Japan

On the face of it, it is hard to explain why a minor collision between a Chinese fishing boat and a Japanese Coast Guard vessel this past August escalated to the point of Beijing and Tokyo nearly breaking off relations. But the incident mirrors policies that both nations see as vital to their self-interests. It is also connected to the aggressive U.S. push to defend its traditional power in the region.
The disputed ownership of the scatter of tiny islands in the East China Sea claimed by China, Japan, and Taiwan—the Senkakus to the Japanese, the Diaoyus to the Chinese—is less about fish than the potential energy reserves that might lie beneath the reefs and atolls. But for more than 30 years both sides have largely avoided the kind of confrontation that took place August 7.
From the Japanese point of view, the incident reflects an increasing assertiveness by Beijing in the East and South China seas, areas that China describe as “core” regions for its security. From China’s point of view, the Japanese arrest of the Chinese captain of the fishing boat was a provocative act that reflects a growing hostility by the ruling Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ). And Beijing is certain that the gringo are behind it all.

Or,
From A [thinking] Japanese ….
‘When the neo-cons rose in the US, Maehara was called Japan’s neo-con. The US neo-cons have a profound strategy. If Maehara actually was a neo-con, this would be ok, but he is probably a neo-con puppet. Instigated by the US and having the US even prepare a path for him to rise to power, he may take power one day. But in the end, the ladder may be removed by the US before he realizes it and he will come to an impasse, taking the country along with him as a fellow traveler.
American neo-cons are hidden proponents of multipolarization. They have the effect of making the US and its allies (Britain, Japan, South Korea, Israel) destroy themselves by means of radical policies that overemphasize military affairs, with the result that the BRIC nations of Brazil, Russia, India and China, and other developing countries, are able to act freely in a multipolar world, even to make a new world order in which the economic development of developing countries transforms the world. It is very dangerous to become a puppet of the neo-cons (outwardly, a friend). If Japan wants to maintain dependence on the US as long as possible, rather than the Maehara belligerent strategy, it would be better to use the traditional strategy of “pretending not to be there (inai furi)” or “to be incapable (munō).” That way, Japan does not have to be led to self-destruction. It’s better to stop going to extremes, clumsily, and simplistically (ippon-yari ni) and to be forced to unconditionally surrender naked when the approach fails’

Thank you for the nice additions to my inquiry. I don’t yet have much to add.
A point that I’ve made before is that money as exchange medium does not work via intrinsic value, but rather by its use as a symbol – it is “symbolically generalized” as Niklas Luhmann put it. At the same time, it is not capable (nor properly intended) to measure a “value” of everything.
This bring us back to the value question, but I can’t expound on it at this time.

Ex-diplomat says Sino-Japanese rift part of US agenda
Tuesday, 16 October, 2012, 12:00am
Julian Ryall in Tokyo
Ukeru Magosaki, left, says US plotted fall of Yukio Hatoyama, centre, and Ichiro Ozawa
A former Japanese diplomat has accused the United States of manipulating Japan since the second world war in order to “eliminate” prime ministers who sought to develop better relations with Beijing.
Ukeru Magosaki, who also served as the head of the Foreign Ministry’s Intelligence and Analysis Bureau, has recently written a book that has soared to the top of Japan’s bestseller lists.
The book – Sengoshi no Shotai (The Truth Behind Post-war History) – states that the US will never remove its military bases from Japanese territory, no matter how much public outcry there is. Magosaki also said he believes that certain factions in the US would even like to see Japan develop nuclear weapons.
“In the book, I divide Japanese leaders into two groups; those who have wanted to pursue independent foreign policies and those who have just followed US instructions and policies,” Magosaki said in Tokyo yesterday.
“Those in the first group were not welcomed by the US government and were usually quickly eliminated from the post of prime minister.”
This was not achieved directly by Washington, he claimed, but through subtle influence over key politicians, the media, government officials and senior executives of major companies.
A spokeswoman for the US embassy in Tokyo declined to comment on the allegations made in Magosaki’s book.
To achieve its control of Japan’s political processes, Washington has interfered with media coverage, encouraged opposition parties, twisted public opinion and even brought down governments by “eliminating” key cabinet members, Magosaki claims.
Two of the Japanese politicians who he claims have been hounded for their independent thoughts have been Yukio Hatoyama, who lasted less then nine months as prime minister until June 2010, and Ichiro Ozawa, whose reputation has been tarnished by a financial scandal and a legal case.
Magosaki believes that had Hatoyama remained in power, the government would not be making moves to restart Japan’s nuclear reactors – shut down in the aftermath of the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant – and would not have gone ahead with raising the consumption tax or deploying US military Osprey aircraft to Okinawa.
These issues, along with the ongoing debate over the Diaoyu-Senkaku islands and the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade discussions, are all closely connected with Washington’s global geopolitical interests, Magosaki said.
The US was “encouraging politicians like [national policy minister Seiji] Maehara to take action against China as that has a benefit for the US,” he said.
And while business interests in the US may want closer co-operation with China, the US government was pursuing what Magosaki termed an “offshore balancing strategy” under which neighbouring nations – he named South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam and Japan – are encouraged to pursue actions to constrain China and its growing regional influence.
“The Senkaku [Diaoyu] issue is part of that strategy,” he said.
“Today, in the US, there are some people who want Japan to have a nuclear bomb.
“This is related to balancing strategy, to counter China by using Japan’s military power.
“From China’s point of view, Yoshihiko Noda has been the worst prime minister they could have had and they feel there can be no trust” between the two governments, Magosaki said. “That means that anyone who replaces him will be welcome.”

LOL.
What part of ‘Unconditional surrender’ did Japan not understand.
They even let you keep your God Emperor – in return for using you as a bastion against muh Commies.
Now GEOTUS would like nothing more than for another country to soil its hands with the use of nukes to win a war.

A reply to the Arab Internet Warriors
https://femiakogun.substack.com/p/a-reply-to-the-arab-internet-warriors
Why would the Arab Intellectuals who engage in blackmail by asking why China, Russia, and the Collective South did not intervene in Gaza, not tell us what is responsible for the pathetic cowardice of the Global Arab World?
No, I don’t feel guilty for not running around Lagos or Accra to protest the real-time genocide to which I have devoted four of my articles.
They are on my blog: femiakogun.Substack.com
I have also shared countless posts.
No one is going to guilt-trip me, not especially ineffectual Arab analysts and internet warriors who cannot mobilize the 500+ million Arabs to come to the street in protest.
Why do the Houthis and the Iranians have more courage than the spineless Arabs?
During apartheid in South Africa, we Africans did not sit on our youknowhat to berate the world for not doing what our shameless cowardice stopped us from doing!
Stop blaming other people; the shame is on your nauseating cowardice.
Your dignity should matter to you. Until then, we outsiders can only lend our moral support.
And Mr Analysts, why do you forget about your racism, the uncomplimentary racial slurs you cast on Africans? Or do you argue that we should forget that Arabs sold us like slaves in post-Gaddafi’s Libya?
Where was your outrage then?
Hypocrisy is a sin.
Cowardice is a crime.
As I have said ad nauseam, in Yoruba, we say: Ọmọ to kàwọ sóké ni Iyà mà ngbé. The mother will carry the child who raises his hands. We also say you cannot shave someone’s head in his absence.
Until you develop some spine, do not expect the world to lead your fight.

This post from Sam Husseini crisply summarizes numerous aspects of ongoing Epstein trouble. Why it matters:

You might remember Husseini as the guy who got a concussion when tackled by State Department goons, just for asking Tony Blinken (remember Blinken?) an intelligent question:

Quoting my comment, you said:

“You are responsible for your feelings and how you interpret the ideas of others”
I say to you:
You are responsible for you 24/7 comments full of hatred and sanctimonious lessons.
My interpretation of your “ideas” are inconsequential. I just mark your constant unsubstantiated claims (maybe sometime you will provide us with some evidence), because you are the one who use this forum to tell us that your morality is the right one and the rest of us are like menor people who must be illuminated by your only correct interpretation of the affairs.
Your assertions are like slogans: all is white (you), or black (the West), without context or nuances.
Indeed, you attribute bad intentions to the others, without evidence.
Tell us, dear. Are you the only one who knows how to behave in this world? Because, from your 24/7 writings, nobody knows how to be moral, according to your humbleness.
Phariseeeeeee.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Take a break, darling.

Some music for a saturday. I never really warmed up to ABBA, but seeing a short video of bassist Rutger Gunnarsson playing Dancing Queen might finally have done the trick for me.
If you want another tune, my favourite was always Lay All Your Love On Me.

Posting over here at o/t and will repost in end of week o/t if b permits.
I wonder if anyone saw my link to Nick Fuentes’ tour de force takedown of Tucker Carlson and establishment shills masquerading as populist dissidents.
Fuentes manages to implicate Carlson, Candace Owens, Max Blumenthal, Joe Kent, J.D. Vance, Peter Thiel and others in a nasty web of establishment controlled-opposition run by the CIA.
If you have the stomach for it, you will never look at the above mentioned media figures in the same way.
Be warned, this is truly a tour de force of journalistic sleuthing that b would greatly appreciate.
The whole takedown runs nearly three hours and there are some meandering points but nothing in Fuentes’ content here is wasted by the time he pieces it all together in his conclusion.
Wholeheartedly recommended. If you want to see the future of American politics, you will get a sneak peek by taking a look at Fuentes here. It is as if the ten years of globetrotting through the mire of conservative Inc. has finally put him in the position to act here.
You have been warned. This is a serious redpill wrt to Carlson especially. You guys pour over Hudson and all his work. You would be greatly benefitted by taking a look here at this specific piece by Fuentes.

I would humbly suggest that Lord Fuentes, and those of his ilk, are themselves the very travesty of which they accuse others: Zionists in sheep’s clothing. Both a Nazi and a Zionist — who ever heard of such a monstrosity? (Aside from our Zionazi friend, here, that is.)

@ persiflo | Aug 2 2025 19:32 utc | 186

They didn’t snag me back in the day, but I think their music ages well — like Mozart, and the BeeGees, both of whom I didn’t understand at all, as a tin-eared youngster. When you put on an album, and every song sounds a lot like the last one — anything from Mariah Carey, the dolphin-girl, for instance — that kind of music does not age well.
By contrast, when their compositions display a wide range of moods and styles, you’ve likely got something worth keeping: music that ages well.

Btw, I have been saying Tucker Carlson is compromised for some time. One does not interview administration officials with softball questions and their friends in the government of Qatar, and doesn’t come off like a Fed shill. Carlson “glows”, IMO.
His latest team-up with Candace Owens is lame. Candace is a creation of Zionist elites.
DDGeopolitics did an exposé earlier in July.

You ask why I assess NC (correspondents of his dark ilk, that is) as Mossad. Multiple factors:
(1) Gut-level hunch. Sometimes right, and sometimes dead wrong.
(2) Not just NC, also the Nazi whose six-hour video is urgently recommended to barflies (presumably those of us with plenty of time to piss away) — commentators of that ilk, here and elsewhere, are often paid Hasbara agents (often pretending to be antisemitic — a common ploy with such operatives).
(3) By now, if you haven’t caught on that Nazis are Zionists are Nazis are Zionazis, you haven’t been paying much attention, over the past 80 years.
The larger issue of how to read, patterns which leave indicators of whose sincerity to suspect, is the salient point. I could care less about the individuals involved. Especially these.

The attack on Candace Owens linked here by LD is archetypal crap. Wall-to-wall insinuation, from whom she married to whom she smoked pot with in high school. Not one word about how Candace Owens has been sneakily furthering Zionism by pretending to oppose it:

Candace Owens, once a prominent voice in black conservatism, ignited a firestorm of criticism from right-wing commentators and media personalities who condemned an antisemitic rant she aired on X.
During a live broadcast on Sunday, titled The Truth About Zionism, Owens implied that Jews were responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and perpetuated other conspiracy theories and warned that criticizing Israel could result in being killed.

https://www.mediaite.com/media/news/candace-owens-slammed-by-right-over-deranged-conspiracy-theory-about-jewish-people/
Medialite here is also sorely mistaken. Larry Johnson has filed voluminous reports on the mounting evidence that “Israel” killed JFK. And you’ll have a hard time convincing me that Larry is a deranged conspiracy theorist. I’ll tell you one thing, though: after seeing LD’s garbage dumped one too many times into this here thread, I’ll never again pay it any mind.
Totally typical Mossad disinformation (Hasbara) agent, punching the clock here at MoA. That’s my assessment.

I’m not endorsing the following excerpt. On the contrary, this really is textbook Hasbara disinfo, just like LD and friends shared above, regarding Candace. Sorry for the length of this dreck, I thought barflies might find it interesting how closely LD’s views align with those of the ADL. We’re subject to some serious ‘splaining, in here:

On August 14, she posted an interview with Tristan Tate, a British-American ex-kickboxer and internet personality who, along with self-proclaimed misogynist brother Andrew Tate, is facing trial in Romania on allegations of rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal enterprise. In the interview, the pair discussed a range of issues including gender identity, masculinity, the Weimar Republic, Israel and the global Jewish community.
In her remarks, Owens equated Jews with Marxists who she said wanted to “rewrite” history. She implied that these Marxists were Jews and argued that they assassinated the Czar in Russia in the 1880s “under the guise of pogroms.” She said the “media” has also tried to convince people that Stalin and Lenin were antisemitic and then agreed with Tate that the two Russian leaders were actually “part of the Jewish cabal.”
Owens also claimed that Judaism was a “pedophile-centric religion that believes in demons…[and] child sacrifice …” She added that she is “waking people up to the fact that pedophiles are in power.”
Owens also said Sigmund Freud used psychoanalysis to tell women (presumably female Jewish patients) who revealed that they were raped as children that it was just an attraction to their father. “No, they were being raped when they were seven years old because that’s what you do when you worship the Kabbalah,” she said.
She then argued that people who questioned information about Kabbalists (presumably Jews) were silenced and labeled insane and insinuated that some were even killed. “They’ve realized the voices that cannot be controlled have to be shut up.”
Owens also spewed bizarre anti-LGBTQ+ conspiracy theories about “gay” leaders of Western nations and then veered into anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and false accusations, declaring that French President Emmanuel Macron was gay “and married to a trans man who molested him as a child.”
Three days after this interview, on August 17, Owens posted a roughly one-minute video to X in which she accused Israel of being behind the assassination of John F. Kennedy and warned that criticizing Israel could result in being killed.
“Do you think it’s normal…that basically, every person who speaks about Israel has to basically say a statement that… ‘you know I don’t want to get killed’?” she ranted in the video, which circulated widely on X. Later she added that Israel has “taken over” the U.S.
