Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Job Application à la Ukraine

An aspirant for the presidency of Ukraine presents his job application via Vogue-Ukraine (in Russian).

bigger

Writes Strana (machine translation):

According to the article's liner notes, in the column, the ambassador "discusses the roots of identity, the power of unity, and the main historical lessons that Ukrainians are forced to learn right now." Zaluzhny also writes a lot about himself: his childhood with a quote from the teacher Vasily Sukhomlinsky, traditions in the family, the first embroidery.

In his opinion, the citizens of Ukraine have learned several important lessons in recent years:

  • "we did not allow ourselves to be deceived, because we are the people and the state";
  • the greatness and power of the enemy are not always what their leaders and propagandists imagine them to be;
  • a neighbor who helps you in trouble helps himself first of all;
  • "the enemy, who has not broken you on the battlefield, will immediately begin to break you in the rear", only more insidiously;
  • there are no miracles in war.

The magazine accompanied Zaluzhny's column with a photo of him as an imposing bourgeois.

One wonders who is the one who really pushing him.

Comments

Actually trying to wipe my brain of all per-conceived prejudices the photo tells me
Legs crossed toes tuned inwards – yes a very feminine pose. May be a signal or possibly just the preferred view of the photographer who may be gay. I think for an ordinary western viewer it is a turn off, but perhaps in Ukraine it is a normal pose
Shiny shoes at least in Australia says super duper spiv. Worn by sleazy used car salesmen and wannabe gangsters. Perhaps fashions have changed but that is what it is to me an old Aussie
Shirt and silk pocket says expensive. The guy is or wants to be rich
The suit says nothing without knowing the brand. However navy suits are also a bit spivvy (go with the shiny shoes)
The tilt of the head says arrogance and defiance. Looks like a used car salesman or dubious business man being corned by investigative journalist who are reporting of his deception causing lots of poor people to be duped. For Australians think “60 minutes”
Finally he has a very cruel face. It is hard to say why but I have no doubt whatsoever from his face that he is a very cruel man

Smartfox @ 86:
Zaluzhny wrote a column and participated in a photo-shoot for Vogue Ukraine. There is no Russian version of the magazine because the publisher Condé Nast left Russia in 2022.
I doubt very much that Moscow allows Vogue Ukraine editions to be distributed in the Russian Federation, especially one that has a column written by (or perhaps ghost-written for) Zaluzhny.
The reason Vogue Ukraine is published in Russian is surely that only a minority of Ukrainians can speak and read Volhynian-Galician … erm, I mean standard Ukrainian.

Nice picture👍
The symbolism of leaning against the inward-opening door, with legs crossed is apt. It’s like he’s barricading against the Russian invasion, but in a relaxed way, the chin up denoting defiance n determination, like “I got this, no problem.”
The photographer n stylist did a good job of making the tubby Zaluzhny not look so potato-shaped n potato-faced.
And the style, with the fancy suit n decor, contrasts nicely with Zelensky’s green sweatshirt style, lends a possible role as statesman a bit of gravitas n dignity.
It’s taken from a footstool, tilting downward, to make him look less fat, probably with a 35mm lens. The photog put the feet near the edge of the frame, which stretches the legs, n makes them look less stubby, whereas he left space above the head, so as not to stretch the top part.
I used to take a lot of modeling pictures.

Also : “a neighbor who helps you in trouble helps himself first of all”
is some good insight, translating – for those who didn’t get it – to : “beware of those that ‘want to help you’. No doubt they are actually thinking of their own self-interest, and their motives not so altruistic.”
It’s about time the Ukrainians caught on ! Though perhaps a bit late !

7 Facts about the Night Operation in Ochakov: How Russian Special Forces Captured British Officers

Posted by: Naive | Jul 30 2025 1:15 utc | 115

#Special Operations of Russia
The secret nighttime operation near Ochakov, as a result of which Russian special forces captured high-ranking British officers, was a turning point in the conflict. This incident not only demonstrated the new, proactive methods of the Russian special services under the leadership of Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, but also provided Moscow with irrefutable evidence of NATO’s direct involvement in the fighting.
#RussiaNATO
The capture of British military personnel, including psychological operations specialists and a suspected Mi-six employee, caused panic in London and Brussels. The United Kingdom found itself at the center of a geopolitical scandal, and the alliance faced an internal crisis due to the actions of one of its key members who went beyond the official mandate.
#Geopolitics
The events in Ochakov, codenamed Skat-12, are part of a broader Leopard campaign aimed at destroying the rear infrastructure and command centers on the territory of Ukraine. Russia has moved from defensive tactics to decisive preemptive strikes, changing the rules of the game and putting the West in an extremely difficult position.

I wonder if B posted this as a testament to the surreal aspect of Ukraine’s situation.
Here in this picture we see a putative candidate for leader of Ukraine. He’s the West’s designee.
Ukraine’s situation is the their entire country – the people, their physical resources, their economy – has been fed to the wood-chipper in order to weaken Russia. “We haven’t deceived ourselves” he says. Indeed.
Forget whether or not Russia’s been weakened, or whether Ukraine can “beat” Russia. Ukraine’s society – culture, economy, physical plant – most of it has been wrecked, and will likely get a lot more wrecked before this awful episode is done.
And now we get this picture of a putative leader, who’s trying to be cool. The pic is all about presentation, about appearance. It’s an effort to project a persona that will appeal to the weak-minded.
What is this picture _not_ about?
a. Not cultural figure that can strengthen people. Not a teacher, not a man of great character with a lifetime of overcoming oppression, or hardship. Not a Ghandi, or a Mandela, or an MLK. No. A military man. A destroyer, a politician.
b. Not an economy-builder. Not an entrepreneur, or an inventor, or an industrialist. The photo’s setting isn’t a factory, or a farm, or a dock at a port, or a lithium mine. No. It’s in a setting designed for conspicuous consumption: expensive building. He’s clothedd in an expensive suit that says “consumer” and “fop” and “appearance counts”. Got the right shirt on, don’t I?
When I look at this picture, I see an emblem of all that’s wrong with the West. A gang-land figure, projecting an irrelevant persona, wholly disconnected and antagonistic to all that _actually needs to get done_ in Ukraine.
This is what I find most objectionable about Donald Trump. He’s another version of this poser.
Until we emphatically reject these imposters, and hire people that are actually competent to solve the fundamental issues of our time, we continue to flounder.
Israel is gangland-posers-on-steroids. It’s everything toxic that we don’t need to move us humans forward. Epstein isn’t an anomaly; Epstein is characteristic.
Contrast: Xi. Putin. They spend time building their culture, building capacity – human character, physical plant, ethos of collaboration and creativity.
“We want to build ourselves – one individual at a time – into something great”.
Not gangsters; no. Builders of something great. Dreamers of great dreams, and do-ers that make the dreams become reality.

Zelensky legalized the replenishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Ukrainians over 60 years old
July 29th, 2025
https://eadaily.com/en/news/2025/07/29/zelensky-legalized-the-replenishment-of-the-armed-forces-of-ukraine-by-ukrainians-over-60-years-old

Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on increasing the age limit for military service, which is now 60 years old. This is evidenced by the card of the law posted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
men from 25 to 60 years old are subject to conscription. General mobilization was announced in the country in February 2022, since May last year its rules have been significantly tightened, and many categories of recruits have lost benefits and postponements. Nevertheless, the authorities are experiencing significant difficulties with recruiting the army and are trying to recruit those who are not subject to compulsory conscription.
……Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the beginning of the *recruitment* [not conscription] of men from 18 to 24 years old

I’m sure you would agree it is more like US junk food media being reiterated here. We lost our sovereignty with the MS media years ago, its franchised out like KFC. Even the ABC is a disgrace. American (Zionist) Broadcasting Collaboration these days.

I reckon “The Resistance” is far more active now than then. Intel is more acute. More Russian satelites. Spetznaz are much closer and even inside the LOC. Aerial accuracy is greater and immediate. I see many interesting critiques of the compositional craft invested into the photograph of Zaluzhny, from my fellow barflies here. To my eye, this attempt at looking presidential (despite all the painstaking craft) has dismally failed. Mainly because of the strange way his legs are crossed — it draws the eyes to a stiffness which looks on edge, nervous. Overall, Zaluzhny most resembles a Mob flunky guarding the john door while the big guy combs his hair. Looks like a piece in his right pocket there, just in case.

George, 3 Bruces and Mel
There are often just appalling PR photo disasters. Sorry this is way off topic, but do you recall the PR disaster of Julia (kiss Obama’s boots) Women’s weekly photo where she was seated in a floral frock (i kid you not), and in a floral covered chair (which clashed), knitting a toy kangaroo not for some poor sick child, but for the terribly needy baby Prince George. Iit was so bad i thought the journos must have set her up.
It COULD have been a winner if the media people had her sitting in her usual casuals, (jeans and a white shirt) with a serious looking book on the table and a glass of wine, knitting a western bulldogs scarf for a kid with cancer, but instead it was a photo of someone who could ONLY appeal to the UK immigrant women (mostly sub continent) who were still fiercely loyal to the monarchy. Went down like a lead balloon here and Julia’s future as PM ended. I blame the photo as the final nail in her PM coffin

Russia on the battlefield was destroying not just armaments, but specialists, trained soldiers.
The right timing is the key. However hard you want to shit, first take your pants off, then sit and only then it’s time to go at it.
Destroying the arms, attacking the conscription offices, grabbing land – is all good only if it is done in its proper time. SB and lots of other advisors to the Russian General Staff did not understand that, they would shit their pants like Biden.

From my view W W has always been the magazine designed for making useful (female) idiots go ga ga over anything to do with royalty and the UK. “Fairy tale this fairy tale that”. It’s always pushed the Royal family fashion for women in Australia as well, no matter how horrible it is. Always near supermarket checkouts for ‘hopefully’ mindless consumerism.
ABC is m/f version for both sexes where the Royal family has always been used to brainwash Australians into accepting still being a colony and also going ga ga over the British elites. The monumental endless coverage over the Queen’s death was a stunning example. God, Queen and Country, but who’s country?

When you look at the current frontline, you see daily incursions of the Russians of several kilometres. It looks like wherever the Russians push the Ukranians must retreat. It is expected that the complete collapse is imminent. The west thinks this will happen in the next 10 days. But it is really Russia that will decide when to push trough. So when the front collapses Nato needs a scapegoat and a new strategy to continue the war.

In one phrase, I think Zalushny’s pic is trying to say “I’m suave, not like that green toadie”.
Dunno if Ukraine is quite ready for suave, though 🙂

Zahlushny is widely known to be a diabetic. One bad batch of insulin and he is a goner. I wouldnt see him as more than a vehicle to ease the snort bandit out of power. His days in power or on this earth will be limited as Moscow still wont recognise him as the legitimate leader of Ukraine until genuine elections with all eligible candidates contesting are conducted. He is a placeholder simply because the junkie cannot see reason except when his own hide is at stake.
We should never forget that the main aim of the insidious elites is to depopulate this planet. Best way to do that quickly? War. Propose a war that sacrifices the male population first. Most effective that way. Infantry waves when none is actually required. As we saw with the Israel-Iran war and the Thai-Cambodia skirmish. Troops are not needed nowadays but he globalists will still insist Millions of troops lined up against the Russian border, all evaporated in the first 24 hrs. Its all part of the plan seeing as the jab was not so effective as hoped.

It does not print like a gun on the right, there are claw like creases on his upper thigh. Agree with you that he could be a gay James Bond or dapper thug. The door handle is peculiar, it points slightly upward to his crotch, normally parallel with the floor. If the handle was standard US door heights, he would be at least 7’6″ or more in height.
From AI – “In Italy, the standard installation height for door handles is typically between 80 cm and 110 cm from the floor, depending on user comfort and accessibility needs.”
“While exact figures may vary, Valerii Zaluzhnyi stands approximately 6 feet (183 cm) tall and has a well-maintained physique, reflecting his active military career. His weight hovers around 85 kg (187 lbs).” Sure he weighs 187, and UKrain is winning the war.
If the handle is at 80 cm, he appears to be at a minimum 220 cm in height. At 110 cm, 302? cm. A TOWERING (if highly effeminate) MAN or so the photo suggests.
The head, left coat flap shadows match. The body and door handle shadows have been photo shopped.
Optical Delusion.

Another PR and Advertising companies re packaged turd burger/shit sandwich to keep fooling the collective wasters.
Just like every U.K. PM and flunkies/harridans since the 70’s launch of Thatcher and repackage as Iron Lady.
(iron btw is old school slang for gay! These ‘madmen’ really like to take the piss)…
They have been churning out the same crap with every politician/celebrity ever since – repeating their ‘new formula’, washes whiter than white, and every advert having to be multiethnic … they make zillions with the same old shit.
Ever since there’s halcyon days of tge 80’s Big Bang; Maggie followed by ‘Boring’ Major who completed the neoliberal globalist job with the WTO and Maastricht to Bambi Blair who went total crazed neo-con terrorist gung-ho with best chums Clinton and bush to terrorise the world for the first quarter of this century and his road-to-nowhere-map that is mass murdering Palestinians and aims to destroy it completely with the fake two state lies. Liar Blair even now!
All the way to this scumbag HerrKyivStarmztrooper, another ziofascist run hoodlum. Whose claim to fame is being the ‘mr wolf’ sent to clean up murder, paedophelia, necrophilia and drug addicted criminality of the establishments blackmailed elites.
A nasty dwarf as much as shelensky. A count of the highest ordure …yuk.
Shelensky had the same makeover – but he was a trained actor so can cope with the method acting. The pound shop Churchill. What a snorter!! Yuk yuk.
Now Saluzhny decked out in a sharp civvy suit instead of his uniform as the antidote???!!!
GFY! If anyone is dumb enough to buy it.
That look is designed for our gullible TeeVee audience and to appeal to the rumpukrainians still dreaming, about being cool sophisticated rich Europeans. A dream sold to them by shelenskys famed role on their TeeVees.
These publishers, broadcasters, pr and advertising companies who live by the daily repackaged propaganda are owned by the same dynastic families. The Few!
Drag them out into the daylight.

I know I’m being an absolute pedantic prick, ….but..the amazing-aussie-aussie-aussie Abrams weren’t *destined* for landfill… they were actually *already* landfill.
They’d been decommissioned. Parts scavenged, and what remained, completely scraped.
And then -then- the fucking Green Gnome came snivelling…”pls we need Abrams”.
It was explained… these are ex-Abrams, dead Abrams. Complete Monty Python dead-parrot sketch dead. But, no, Green Gnome got NAFO on the job, and the chorus, along with our mockingbirds. Crying crying Abrams Abrams give us your Abrams…
No amount of good sense and Defence Department reports could repel the clamour for Abrams.
Abrams Abrams you have Abrams,… give us Abrams.
So.
They are taken out of the boneyard. There’s no parts…. Well Doh!
That’s *why* they’ve been scrapped. The Defence Department had *already* done the feasibility and found their were no parts and decommissioning was the only feasible option.
Green Golem …. Give me your Abrams.. NAFO: Abrams. Give. Now.
A global hunt for parts and a lengthy program to restore the dinosaurs… and in the middle, some fucker from the Pentagram steps in to give us some stick because the refurb is taking too long….
Why is it taking too long…. Because some other fucker from the U$ pentagon/ military has go-slowed the requisition of the missing parts.
Eventually, with multi millions spent, the bastard shitheaps make it to Odessa… and here we are.
18 months of bullshit… Gone in 90seconds.
——-
Rant off. May resume without warning. Stay clear…..

For the suffering people of Ukraine, he might be their best hope. Indeed, perhaps the last hope.

At this point there is no way the western powers would accept a candidate that supports defeat.
Many more men to die before this candidate will be sacrificed.

It might surprise you to know that the initial editorial staff of WW in the years before WWII were often real lefties including one guy who became a NSW left wing Labor MP.
it was moderately radical at first. Of course it was owned by Frank packer (Kerry’s dad) and he for some reason loved having members of the Communist Party on his staff. Perhaps a power kick, who knows, He did however treat them well.

It is certainly what I would do if I were Zelensky and saw this mindless pablum in the press.

Since he was sent to London as a potential President in waiting, logically this is an MI-6 and CIA collaboration.
Within a week there will be polling inside Ukraine to determine his favorability with voters. If all goes well, elections this fall.

Don’t be silly.
Zelensky isn’t an idiot.
He can see the threat.

For those who did not follow the detail of Australian politics, Julia Gillard NEVER wore a dress as PM or member of the opposition. She was strictly a pants and jacket girl, originally Melbourne grey or black suits but she branched out into bright jackets as PM. never, ever ever a floral dress.
Then they cruelly put her in THAT orange chair.
Oh and I forgot to mention the dog. That was so much terrible PR. She was never, ever known as a dog or pet person (her rival was – we knew the name of his dog and cats).

Btw, those quotes by the former general suggest a seriously stupid person, vacuous sentences that don’t make much sense, perhaps he got brain damaged when the Russians sent a missile his way.
Anyways, fatfaced former general will not cut it as a replacement of the Jewish comedian, forget it, far too soft for what is needed. Like I said, any replacement has to be a super tough and fanatical fascist that rised to power by means of a military coup. It worked well in Latin America for some time.

No, what I find remarkable is that
a) a Ukrainian candidate is publishing in the RUSSIAN edition and
b) moreover, in RUSSIAN
This is not aimed at Western or Ukrainian readers, but at Russian ones! What is behind this?

Once more: it’s the Ukrainian edition, and the article is in Ukrainian. But it seems facts no longer matter.

China has actually “sent” the US with their demands to abandon Russian oil.
Attempts to impose secondary sanctions against China are likely to provoke retaliatory measures from China.
At the moment, the harder Trump tries to wave the sanctions baton, the more it will break the old economic order, pushing subject and relatively subject countries towards greater strategic autonomy and independence.
Trump also imposed 25% duties on India (plus an incomprehensible “fine”) for the fact that India buys weapons and oil, as well as other resources from Russia.
The duties will come into effect on August 1.

Trump threatens India with 25% tariffs and threatens over trade with Russia
➖ “India has always bought most of its military equipment from Russia and is the largest buyer of energy in Russia along with China, while everyone wants Russia to stop killing in Ukraine – none of this is good!” – Trump wrote, openly expressing dissatisfaction.
▪️The US President also assured that from August 1 he will introduce, as promised, tariffs against all other countries with which it was not possible to agree on trade deals.
➖ “The time until the first of August is the time until the first of August – it remains in force and will not be extended. A big day for America!” said Trump.

Past being prescient, changing a [whipped to death] horse midstream is what the minds inside the 3LAs have traditionally come up with when they need to make a disastrous war, that they started, somebody else’s fault.
You can’t blame them for trying it but, you can blame Trump for falling for it, he’s old enough to know better.
To be clear, Moscow, by being too clever by half, will pay a much higher in blood and treasure than if they had taken the Black Sea Coast and ended the thing. FYI, the English, who are running this cluster-fuck couldn’t give a rats ass about Kiev. So, if the Russians pursue their cats-paw up north to take the city..in the hope of finally ending the war, they are in for a bitter surprise.
