Lol, buddy just please f*ck off with *that* nonsense.
Greater West Germany has far fewer troops than the GDR and a decaying industrial base.
France has a moderate-sized colonial expeditionary force geared for Africa and is one bad police incident away from cities burning.
The Yoo Kay military is an absolute sh*tshow, more admirals than ships 10× more horses than working tanks and a moribund economy.
Also the overall decript industrial bases and horrible energy situation. Is not conductive to ramping up mass-production of arms.

Personally I think both Iran and Russia are preparing much more devastating responses. Time will tell.
I could definitely be wrong, but I would also venture that Russia will not allow Iran to fall just as China would not allow Russia to fall, because they’re all too familiar with the domino theory. [Syria was a house of cards that couldn’t be saved.]

It would make more sense for china to make a move to support.
China needs iranian oil
China is not an iranian neighbor/quasi-rival
Big question, what and how (when, how soon is also a good question)
How, might/should include pakistan

Don’t need to wait.
I guarantee you there will not be a military response from Russia and China.
In the real world BRICS is not a military alliance.
China has a policy of non interference.
Russia has Ukraine on its hands, and as another patron posted previously, offered the Pezeshkian government a security agreement like NK but was rejected.
For Russia to provide military aid to Iran, Iran has to prove it is worth betting on.
Last thing Russia needs is for it to provide military equipment to Iran only to have traitors in the government surrender without fighting like in Syria.
In the Korean war, the Soviet Union only provided aid to China after the later started fighting and was doing an effective job of it. Moreover it was not free, but a loan that the later took years to pay off.
Iran needs to get its house in order and show it is not just hot air before even thinking of getting aid.

People have been chased off for saying that Putin is especially lenient on Israel because he is himself Jewish. They were laughed at or called trolls. Well the evidence was always there that his mother was Jewish even if his father may not have been. I still believe Putin has Jewish origins , but until now I always thought that -in at least matters of state-his Soviet Russian Nationalist Secular upbringing and values always prevented any emotional kneejerk instinctive sympathy for the Jews and Israel .
Well we will see.

MSM keeps pushing stories about Israel’s spy networks in Iran—using Iranian nationals. Look, I back Iran’s strength and actions here 100%. But let’s be real: if some Iranians are willing to sell out to Israel, it’s because they’re that fed up with the regime. No amount of bribes works unless people are already broken inside.

Iran has an extreme fringe of its minority fifth column types, who might be willing to take the proverbial 30 prices of silver.
Yet it’s the MIK types who are more obvious culprits, theres a reason why the USA has kept that deranged cult as per monsters.
The Kurds might also be suspects too, the US and Israel have been cultivating them for awhile.

Germany said Monday that it has approved nearly half a billion euros worth of weapons sales to Israel since October 2023.
From Oct. 7, 2023 to May 13, 2025, Germany issued export licenses for arms deliveries to Israel totaling €485.1 million ($554.3 million), according to the government’s response to a question in parliament from the Left Party.
The approved exports include a broad range of military equipment including weapons systems, ammunition, radar and communication devices and parts for armored vehicles.

*** Once again, negligence, incompetence and relying on a “moderate” leadership on the part of Iran and others is doing the USUKIS’ work for them. NATO may be incompetent on their side, but they need not to worry if they always attack first and can expect little to no retaliation. Out of all the Chinese and Russian responses, Alaudinov is so far the only one who expressed something other than “deep concern”.
“I believe, of course, this is my personal opinion, that we need to declare mobilization. We need to prepare at least 500 thousand in advance, and in reality a million people. Call them up and start preparing them. Prepare them for the fact that the war has already begun, which we already know that it is going on, the Third World War. But it has already acquired new twists, new turns” (c) Apti Alaudinov ***
Strange to me how over quite some time now regular (self identified) Moslem posters on MoA don’t seem to approve of General Alaudinov — or at least tend to ignore him.
Why?

Leaving aside the proliferation of fleas that quickly flock to the scent of blood, this thread will remain as a monument to the hypocrisy and infamy of many “regulars”.
Without any other information than the provided one by the Western media, and without sufficient time to assess the situation, these turncoats have exposed themselves for what they are: aggrieved and hysterical bitches because Iran doesn’t meet their amateur fanboy expectations.
Now, according to these wretches, Iran is a paper tiger lacking military power and facing an “internal revolution” and even an existential crisis. What a fuck!
Wouldn’t it be wiser to wait for the events to unfold before jumping to conclusions?
War isn’t a computer game or a sporting event. Iran has been preparing action plans for decades in the event of a US-Israeli military attack. What’s going on? Has Iran now given up?
Nah! The timing, space, and circumstances of Iran’s military action are well planned. Just because they don’t meet the expectations of the armchair generals, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
In any case, Iran, as a sovereign state, has the prerogative to decide how and when to act, based on its interests.
Patience is the mother of virtues…

Seems that Russia did not provide any advance warning of the strike – Either Russia intelligence is totally incompetent or they purposefully withheld information.. probably a mix of both.

President Barzani of Kurdistan is the same as Mahmoud Abbas for Palestine.
After Daesh in Obama’s time, Barzani gave Kurdish Oil to London Company Genel free of charge. Kurdish oil reserves are estimated to be similar to those of Libya, vast.
Now Barzani has given the US , Kurdish Gas, FOC, and Iran is not happy about Barzani trying to appease Trump, Erdogan and Netanyahu for the second time.
This is what Trump is talking about, not nuclear enrichment, with Iran. He says that Iran has been given a second chance to consider its refusal to give Iraqi Kurdish Gas to the US , for free.
Fartface Trump told Nutter to attack Iran to persuade the Iraqi government to let the Kurdish Gas go for free.
Barzani has just signed it away to the US. Trump’s hardcore diplomacy at work.
We’re bigger than you, and more powerful than you, so you have to fucking do what we fuckibg say. Absolutely nothing to do with Palestine. Everything to do with the Brian Berletic model of Trump being a regular US bully boy.

As we saw many times previously it is not really viable to plan to “bomb a nation into submission”. Yemen? Iraq? Afghanistan? Serbia? Ukraine? the Palestinians? Hezbollah? What happened in Syria and Libya is the only way to achieve this – and then you are typically left with a mess. Iran has a lot of resources and fairly advanced military technology. They likely could produce nuclear weapons in short order. They certainly have enough enriched uranium to do so. They are a major player in the world oil and gas markets, they can control the Strait of Hormuz.
Likely they will respond in a measured way, trying to do some visible damage without triggering an existential response from Israel.
Will the US overtly enter the conflict? This is a question.
We can assume no more talks, so what will the US response be to that?
Likely the US hopes to support Israeli attacks and avoid direct blame while hopping to either provoke an ‘over reaction’ that will justify further escalation, but ultimately they want regime change and de-facto surrender to US diktats. If Iran can tolerate what Israel dishes out while doing some damage in return, but resist demands to capitulate while maintaining general popular support then that will be success I think.
Will they start building nukes?

Iran has internal security problems, and … just like in the case of Syria, didn’t address them sufficiently as to qualify as a reliable ally.
The next two or three days will tell the tale, and it may get told today.
Let me re-ask the question for the Bar: If the “axis” isn’t prepared to protect itself – won’t do what’s necessary – why should we Bar-flies invest effort to support their cause?
Why should the Rest of the World believe in BRICS, if they don’t believe in themselves?

President Trump, stop this thing NOW!!! This will destroy the economy and Americans WILL suffer!
Israel, by destroying nuclear facilities you relesse massive radiation into the atmosphere. Many innocent civilians will get sick and die!
IMO Iran’s biggest and most egregious blunder was not responding to the massive attack on the Lebanon. Their aid to Hezbollah was tepid at best. Iran’s response was to curl up in a ball and go into self preservation mode. Had they acted immediately with full force and come to the aid of their stoutest ally – their first-line defense – this all-out attack to destroy their country would not be happening right now.
I seem to remember bigly joint naval exercises by Iran, Russia, and China? So, China, where are you? Russia?

“Just heard a bit of bibi , he’s doing a Ukraine and betting the farm on regime change…

And the phrase
“But completely halting Iran’s nuclear program is likely beyond the means of the region’s only nuclear weapons power without the open support of its U.S. ally — and possibly even with it, security experts believe.
“Israel by itself cannot completely halt the program. Only toppling the regime can do that. Anything less achieves at most a delay for X number of years. X being dependent on the level of success of the strikes,” Eado Hecht, of the BESA Center for Security Studies in Israel, told Newsweek.”
So victory condition seems to be “regime change”
Tall order…

Israel is trying to degrade Iran’s stockpile of missiles but is failing to do so. It has destroyed several warehouses, but that is far from deterring Iran; this is why Benjamin Netanyahu is asking the Israelis to have patience. For the first time, the society and the op[postion are behind him and forgot about the Israeli prisoners in Gaza and the Gaza war. There is a greater objective to bring down the Iranian system.

Important to keep close watch on events in Gaza and the West Bank. This operation in Iran is also timed to coincide with severe deprivation/strikes on Gaza with the hope of rechanneling RoW attention to Iran. Could Netanyahu who has the complete backing of the country, use this as a means of distracting from the complete obliteration of Gaza and West Bank.

Israel’s operation against Iran’s nuclear program

Mary Rubio: “Daddy? I didn’t break the vase in the living room. No. It wasn’t me.”
Israel is just the bag man. The US has been planning this for decades, first pretending to negotiate, making sure the deal is turned down, and “Leaving it to BiBi”.
American planes, American ordinance, American controlled air space and territory.
– – – –
–Israel needs to fly over Jordanian & Iraqi airspace impossible without US permission.
–Israel needs refueling assets and flanking squadrons.
–They need permission to use American weapons & ordinance; the US has total leverage if it threatens to cut any off.
–They need ISR from American satellites, as well as real-time terrein reconnaissance, target selection, terrein mapping.
–Co-ordinates are vetted by US personnel; the notion that drones/missiles can be programmed to hug terrein, home in on targets, weaving between mobile AD assets to strike hundreds of kilometers deep without US programming based on US ISR assets is fanciful.
–They need AWACs and EW and refueling assets in the air.
–They need to configure decryption modules to process American signals for positioning and targeting.
»The American role in all this is active technical facilitation and hands-on action.
Any dissembling about American proxies doing their own thing and plausible deniability, pretending America is a neutral party above the fray, striving for peace, is entirely disingenuous, serving only marketing narratives in the sphere of public discourse, but entirely separate from any real considerations that guide action.

Posted by: Webej | Jun 13 2025 17:23 utc | 637

Have you ever considered that the attack on Israel had something to do with the secret documents the Iraqis had captured?
Because: Who would it actually INSCRIPT if Iran published… NOW, denial is relatively easy, and even easier when you can accuse opponents of vindictiveness and ingenuity.
The attack may have been planned for a long time, but the timing is probably unusual…and not appropriate.
Before the June 13 attacks, the Iranians had discovered Israeli intelligence that is extremely incriminating. According to this report:
Iran has obtained a wealth of “strategic and sensitive” Israeli intelligence, including files related to Israel’s nuclear facilities and defense plans, the Islamic Republic’s state broadcaster reported on May 7.
“The Iranian intelligence apparatus has obtained a large amount of strategic and sensitive information and documents belonging to the Zionist regime (Israel),” the broadcaster said, citing informed regional sources.
The intelligence included “thousands of documents related to this regime’s nuclear plans and facilities,” it continues.
The Iranians have revealed little so far, but according to Sputnik, they revealed that European countries have assisted Israel in building its nuclear weapons program. I suspect the unnamed countries are France and Great Britain.

A major cyber attack wiped out all their defensive system communications plus all electronic personal communications all night. The pilots scrambled, but were flying blind, so couldn’t see targets. Utter chaos.
They are now communicating strictly by landline & courier. Commanders are geographically distributed in pairs.
This clearly will slow down planning.
I wish they’d shut up (actually wish they had long ago), but now they have to keep talking about coming major retaliation because the people are actively demanding it.

Posted by: Exile | Jun 13 2025 17:25 utc | 640

Shock and Awe worked, Israeli media is playing the effects to the max. First news are arriving that the impact may not be so deep at a second look.
The bar responds emotionally, from fear “o what have they brought on themselves” we swing to “Iran are bumbling fools”.
Some things will happen now – Iran will transition from pre-war army to a war army. Israel spent a shot that took them years to prepare at a moment when Iran is more or less at one of the low points of the nuclear program. The question is, does that take out Iran’s will (ignore the loud mouth statements from IRGC) or the capability? Iran is a large country and the attacks all just hit the west.
I think Iran was deeply coopted, let’s see if that card can be played again.
As to Trump’s threats to Iran it is questionable if more attacks can be pulled off at the same scale.
Iran is shellshocked now and has to purge and tighten up security before any other steps are taken.
They would be well advised to only use mobile hypersonics launchers for now. They may want to bomb places like Jordan for punishment, that could backfire though if that drives the country to the US side.
Iran will have to wisen up – ask Russia for EW hardening, maybe some Gerans and Lancets.
AD probably was blown up to a large extend, those security failings need to be worked through. 99% this was lazy commanders not moving their hardware, neglecting borders and perimeters.
Iran also rests on the Syrian and Yemeni proxies, this also led to some laziness.
They may have to think about the ground war aspects of this now and how to go more asymmetrical.
Taking attacks in fortress mode sounded nice on paper. Maybe a few containerized drones and missiles and some AD close to Cyprus on civilian ships would look different.

Iran has been accused of trying to build nuclear bombs at least since Netanyahu spoke at the UN in 2012. This movie is outdated.
That Iran has been enriching uranium in order to increase its energy availability is a fact. That there has been no nuclear enrichment for weapons purposes is also a fact, systematically verified by accredited inspectors for years.
Iran has been subjected to the strictest inspections for two decades. It started to get angry when the inspectors issued biased reports.
Iran has never manufactured nuclear weapons because it never intended to do so. It goes against the spirit of Islam, as these Persians interpret it.
Now, when an individual or collective agent is subjected to pressure from their social environment that threatens their existence, moral and legal codes change.
Iran is the sack of all the shit that tries to justify the degradation of Israeli and American society. These bullies have lost real and effective strength, they resort to the last resort: summoning their whores, the EU, Türkiye, and the Arab bitches to divert attention from the inevitable decomposition of their own society. The last expression of strength before tbe problems inside become overwhelming.
Will Iran try to build nuclear bombs in the near future? I don’t know. And my opinion is irrelevant.
So. Just some considerations.

russia too late in offering nuclear power stations to Iran that might have diffused the situation likethey assisted Assad by dealing with their chemical weapons?? Though the Infiltrated OPCW and UK were involved in their upsetting this scheme.
Should OPCW and IEAEinftratedand perverted by Isr, be targeted by Iran?
As USA said to Iran surrender back to the stone age or die, should Russia now say to USA liars ( we know you knew about the nuclear triad attack on russian bases in conjunction with Mossad and UK) no more delusional peace talk swith Ukraine negotiations, Ukraine must surrender or be sent back to the stoneage?

Posted by: Jo | Jun 13 2025 18:25 utc | 655

It was Marandi some months ago who hinted on a program that Iran should not trust ths Russians, now we see Orlov and Dughin out there basically saying that Iran is on it’s own.
If Iran wants to remain independent then they must take the NK route, otherwise just surrender now and save their own citizens and everyone else the trouble. This is a fight and if you don’t want to fight and establish deterrence then you have already lost, if the will to fight is not there it’s better to surrender.
Iran’s bluff has been called and it will be continued to be called from here on out as stated by Israel/Trump, the show strikes are over.

The “ever-helpful” peacenik Putin.
Wants to facilitate an Israeli “hit-and-run”… salami slicing away as it has in Syria.
Yes, let’s all “return to the negotiating table”…
17:48 GMT
Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss his country’s ongoing strikes against Iran. The Russian head of state emphasized the importance of returning to the negotiating process on Tehran’s nuclear program, and offered to mediate between the sides to prevent any further escalation, as reported by the Kremlin press service.
Putin and Netanyahu agreed to continue contacts in order to avert dire ramifications of the current crisis for the entire region.
17:30 GMT
Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian. He extended his condolences to Pezeshkian over the fatalities inflicted by the Israeli attacks, which included civilians, the Kremlin press service said.
READ MORE: Putin holds phone conversations with Israeli PM and Iranian president
Putin stressed that Russia condemns the Israeli actions and deems them in breach of the UN Charter and international law. The Russian president expressed support for a diplomatic resolution to the issues surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, and pledged to help de-escalate the current crisis.

Putin is not only correct but strategic in his efforts to restrain Netanyahu and to advise constrained response by Iran. This comes from the same playbook that has allowed Russia to not only win remarkable territorial gains in the Ukraine but also maintain the moral high ground which is critical to international narrative and support. His position is strategic insofar as Israel is crumbling – it is an international pariah, distrusted by all but neoZionists running UK/US/EU; many, many of the professional class (which are significant contributorts to the country) have fled, leaving the Haredi (who do not work) and the rabid settlers; kibbutzim have not returned to either the north or the south; opposition to the Netanyahu government are not only at a cacophony of the people, but also highly capable military/intelligence leaders whom he has sidelined for disagreeing with his engatement in multi front wars which have essentially bankrupted Israel. Iran et al win by drawing out the conflict as long as possible, and directing their efforts to not only military action but in the diplomatic realm and most important the economic realm, especially as regards disruption of energy markets.
Not the least of the narrative – while Israeli citizens huddle in bomb shelters, worry about surviving an intense Iranian response – he is reported to have left the country, sheltering in the highly protected Akrotiri military base in Cypress. Just like his son who is basking on the beaches of Miami. Nuff said.

Regarding the role of Russia in all this mess.
Russia is a State that has only one purpose ahead. Exist and persist for its citizens, people or whatever…
Russia has no obligations to assist others Nation-states, except in the case there is one signatured treaty of mutual compromise.
You are very wrong when you write about the Russia’s betrayal of Syria.
Russia was telling Asad that the Syrian military was a mess. The military in Syria were sleeping in the ground, without basic wages, without equipment, because the Syrian government was wasting the input of Russian’s money, assets & HELP, without measurement
Russia has many contracts with Iran, but no one of them says Russia must assist Iran in the case of a military conflict.
It’ evident. There are 2 million Russian people in Israel whith Russian passports.

Stalin supported Grandpa Kim of NK from the start in June 1950.
Mao came in at Nov 1950, with order of battle provided by USA through taking it from Chiang. Stalin was not consulted by Mao who had to get his arms from Chiang in the revolution.
Posted by: paddy | Jun 13 2025 17:30 utc | 649
Mao consulted Stalin before intervening, that is how he was able secure Soviet aid in the first place. What is accurate however was that Stalin was cautious and did not fully commit before seeing results.
Stalin was result orientated. Stalin supported Grandpa Kim along with Mao. Remember Mao only one of several budding communist forces around the world. There was no crystal ball to tell who would be more effective. Pre-1950 aid was limited and consisted mostly only surplus or captured weapons and training. Soviet aid to China surged after the PVA’s combat effectiveness was proven in offensives like November 1950, which repelled UN forces. Aid value roughly doubled or tripled, from $500 million–$1 billion (1945–1950) to $1.5–$2 billion (1950–1953), expanded to include advanced technology (MiG-15s, radar) and direct Soviet air support, far exceeding the $700 million–$1 billion given to North Korea. China’s central role, not North Korea’s, drove the war effort, with Soviet support scaling up in response to Chinese successes.
You don’t throw good money after bad, but add on successful winners.

I would rather the conversation as an “ally” to Iran had been:
“What do you need?
Planes? missiles? Radar systems? Drones?
How can I assist you to defeat your enemy?”
I’m stupid enough to still hope that an “off record” call like that may have taken place.
But that “hope” is dimming.

Skimming the comments, it seems useful to hark back to some basics.
1)Strategic air attacks do not win wars. Tactical air attacks win battles. Turning battles won into a war won is what strategy is about.
2)Neither the Zionist enterprise (and its US funder) can defeat Iran with air war. Unfortunately, the reasons for this are the same reasons Iran cannot defeat the Zionist enterprise with air war either.
3)No aid defense system will ever stop air raids. All they can do is keep attrition from air raids at a rate low than the recovery rate, which depends on recovery rate. The ability to restore after depends on population, industrial resources, raw materials and political will—none of which can be obliterated by strategic air war.
4)Neither the US nor Israel can rationally contemplate land operations in Iran. Again, for the same reasons, Iran cannot rationally contemplate a march to the Mediterranean.
5)It is almost certain the US’ fundamental strategy for regime change is premised on punishing the people of Iran with economic sanctions, while hoping the local wealthy will turn to a so-called bourgeois democratic solution. The so-called theocracy is blended with the old Iranian ruling class, thus eager for compromise. At this point, it appears that the theocracy proper is still intent on ruling over the mass of the population with their oppressive and reactionary ideology, hence there is in fact a widespread resentment among large strata and non-Persian nationalities of the population at large. Hence hopes for some variant of a color revolution or a simple comprador coup (more like what seems to me to have happened in Bangla Desh not so long ago?) are not completely delusional, merely completely ruthless. The likelihood that a carrot-and-stick policy would pay off for them better however has the problem that the decaying US has fewer carrots to offer…and its domestic politics orient to intimidation, punishment and violence too.
6)Russia is tied down with the SMO. PRC/CPC is tied down by its apparent commitment to a capitalist world economy? It doesn’t want to hopes for alliance with its own nascent bourgeoisie in the mainland proper, much less in Hong Kong and Taiwan?
7)It’s not over till its over. The Zionist campaign isn’t over yet. The only thing to say for certain yet, is Iran has been hurt. It is highly doubtful that IRI had a weapons program, but it seems likely enough that enough damage has been wrought that even if they were to switch gears, it would be delayed for months. I think IRI could in fact restore sufficient operations, since the Zioniists cannot use strategic air war to stop it. If that was the goal, the Zionists have been defeated. Either regime change in alliance with local Iranian factions or escalation to nukes. Those underground sites are only temporarily crippled by damage to the surface parts of the nuclear industrial system.
8)The hunger plan extermination of Gaza Palestinians will not I think be impaired. Nor will further operations in Lebanon and Syria. The Houthis are reliant on strategic air, therefore they cannot win.
9)Noting that this is a reverse for Iran is not trolling. For that matter, neither is pointing out that adulation of a personal hero, whether Putin or Xi or the Revolutionary Guard Corps has been embarrassed. This shouldn’t even be an issue, counting on some Hero from somewhere else to save us, always has a lot of childishness to it. Childishness helps no one. For MoA, with its large contingent of Trump cultists, trying to reduce this to, are you for Trump or against him, is simply virtue signaling, of the MAGA variety. That’s as use less as all virtue signaling.
10)The world is already in hybrid WWIII. Just as the old fascist onslaught of WWII had years to play out, including very dark years where the fascists seemed to be winning, so too it can be for the US empire’s attempt to re-divide the world under its new, leaner, meaner hegemony. Final despair is unwarranted.
11)Just as IRI and the Zionist enterprise, domestic politics matters.
12)Everybody loses in a general exchange of nuclear weapons. There is no radioactive mode of production.

Only Saudi Arabia hates Iran. The Sauds thought the US would give them power in Syria in the Syrian war, but Russia intervened , not to help Assad but to hold onto their base in Tartus.
Saudi Arabia has now received payment in full for all for it’s investment in the Zionists’ army of Al Qaida over the years, Syria’s head on a plate.
For diffetent reasons, both the Sauds and the ZioNazis want Iran destroyed.
So Trump might think it’s a double win to please both of them , and do a regime change in Iran.
I’m not sure how Trump can store in his head the contradiction between Saudi Salafism and Israeli hocus pocus. Maybe he thinks it’s Saudi hocus pocus and Israeli Divine inspiration. Trump is a moral relativist and huckster product of a wartime generation.
As such , I think he is a psychopath who would take as much pleasure in destroying the entire youthful population of Iran with Nukes as he has taken from genociding the youth of Palestine, Yemen , Lebanon and Syria with MOABS and starvation. Watched.a few American cable news channels for awhile today. I have never heard the phrase “Israel has the right to defend itself” used so many times in a row. They admit Israel struck Iran first with US help, but somehow it was entirely defensive. Totally.
Also, some former US Generals and such high mucky-mucks, working very hard to claim that there is a legal difference between “pre-emptive strike” (illegal) and “protective strike” (legal, or so they claim).
Like the bully in third grade who grabs a kid’s hand and forces him to hit himself, then asks, “Why are you hitting yourself?”
To add to the strange Crystal Blue Persuation vibe that is thick in the air these days, now Trump is offering to broker peace between the two parties. (Meaning Iran and Israel.) Create a problem, note the problem, and then offer to fix the problem.
————————–
Doha (Quds News Network)- US President Donald Trump told Qatar’s Emir he is ready to “help resolve the crisis” between Israel and Iran. The statement came in a phone call on Friday, according to the Qatari Emiri Diwan. It came after Trump backed an Israeli assault on Iran that violated protocols during ongoing nuclear agreement talks.
Trump said Washington is “prepared to take part in efforts to solve the crisis and preserve regional security and stability.”
The call focused on the US-backed Israeli strike on Iranian territory and the growing tensions in the region. Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, stressed the need to de-escalate and pursue diplomatic solutions.
Trump’s offer comes just hours after reports confirmed that he secretly approved Israel’s large-scale assault on Iran. According to Israeli officials quoted by Axios, Trump gave a “clear green light” for the operation, despite pretending in public to oppose it.
Officials said the US wanted to keep Iranian targets in place by misleading Tehran into thinking no attack was coming. Even a phone call between Trump and Netanyahu — presented as an effort to prevent escalation — was reportedly used to coordinate the strike.
Following the attack, Trump posted a message on Truth Social:
“They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse… Iran must make a deal before there is nothing left.”
Iran responded by launching hundreds of missiles at Israel. Videos showed direct hits in Tel Aviv. Iran also claimed to have downed two Israeli fighter jets and captured a female pilot.
Despite backing the assault, Trump now appears to be positioning himself as a potential mediator.
