We seem to see eye to eye on most issues. I just don’t believe that Die Linke, which I used to vote for until 2020 or so, is the right party to address these issues any longer.
One example:

Jan van Aken was told in no uncertain terms that he was factually wrong but never corrected himself. What do you think?

Diocletian, maybe?

I was referring to power entities (states), not individuals. However, Diocletian actually is a good example for my view on systems of power and their recurring dynamics. His reforms could not reverse the decline of the empire, just stabilise the situation for a few years. Rome had run into the limit of it’s ability to consume and control more territory. The technology of the time did not allow for further expansion. Inner corrosion and outer pressure had already hollowed out the body of the empire. The rise and fall of power concentrations, inevitable and unstoppable even for somebody as dedicated as Diocletian. Creation, decay, the ebb and flow of the vital forces within our global hive is created in a chaotic and yet somewhat predictable manner.
No matter what any Ceasar or senators said or did, the death of Rome was predetermined and the names of the administrators of this rotting corpse were not important any longer.

“We just wanna say — this war between Elon and Trump should’ve never happened. Never! It would never have happened if we were President, believe me. It’s a nasty, ugly war — so much hate on both sides. It’s very sad. You’ve got MAGA people, incredible patriots, and Tesla bros — smart guys, very smart — just collapsing. Thousands of them! It’s a disaster. We just want it to stop. We want peace.”

Citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, Times of India has reported that elements of three Ukie brigades have surrendered in South Donetsk. I’ve long been awaiting such news. SAVE THOSE LIVES !
Posted by: aristodemos | Jun 5 2025 16:58 utc | 38
That could be as few as three soldiers from three different brigades.
We’ve been waiting for the frontlines to crack, which they should given Russia’s massive superiority, but it keeps not happening. Why? Are drones really such a force multiplier for Ukraine’s low-quality light infantry that even a superpower like Russia can’t advance? Yet Syria fell in a week to a much weaker force.

Why do all “long time lurkers, first time poster”s post the same stupid shit?
1. Syria took over a decade to fall, and was not armed by NATO with hundreds of billions of dollars in cash, mercs, ISR, and high tech weaponry..
2. Russia has been advancing, and only advancing, for years.

3. yes, drones are a massive force multiplier.

First thing BSW did was instant sell out to Merz’s CDU.

Could you elaborate on that?
Like other commentators I see Die Linke as part of the uniparty. Ten years ago I still voted for them, but have been disappointed, to put it mildly. From what I have seen they had forced Sarah out, exactly because she insisted on the values that you claim Die Linke still holds up. Die Linke instead wanted to focus on identitarian issues and hyperimmigration and other anti-left, pro corporate capitalism agendas.
So your statement comes as a surprise to me and I can’t connect it to any information I have.

🇷🇺👉🇩🇪🏴‍☠️ Dmitry Medvedev expressed his opinion about the visit of the hereditary Nazi Merz to the United States:
Merz is in the same boat as the typhoid louse (Zelensky). Trump openly alluded to the chancellor’s Nazi proclivities by noting the Normandy landings must have been unpleasant for him. Well done! For a moment, the chancellor felt like the Banderite nit did during his Oval Office visit.

Ukraine officially outraged as Poland honours WWII victims of Ukrainian Nazis
Warsaw establishes July 11 memorial day for 50,000+ murdered Poles — including women and children
Ukraine fumes — rejects historical accountability while mentioning Russia as a ‘common enemy’
How can Ukraine play its false game of victimhood if it’s the victimizer?

the first sensible thing poland did, or the realization that their beloved nazis are getting their asses handed to them by a gas station and hypersonic washingmachines, so now they have to pretend that history matters before grabbing some land from those that wronged them in the past?

You’re thinking too small. “Justice” has become defined by the guilty.
Loss of citizenship, confiscation of assets, lifetime bar from holding office. Exile from the District of Columbia.
That’s a start.
Not that a Lindsey Graham could ever become a federal politician in China. In the Middle Kingdom, he would face the death penalty for sedition. They don’t eff around. Politics is an enormous drain on society. In the West, it is sport and entertainment.

Which cannot be said of Trump and several other western leaders.

That I am saying modest things does not mean I am not thinking much bigger. If Graham was arrested, the snowball would begin to roll and much bigger things would happen. I agree what he is doing is sedition, not just against the US but against all of us as he is stirring up an international nuclear conflict.

Posted by: Norwegian | Jun 5 2025 22:01 utc | 144

Norwegian,
It’s all moot anyway. Trump doesn’t have the moral courage of a tax clerk in China. As the executive responsible for administering the laws and justice. He has no will to punish the wicked to keep the country safe and stable.
We knew that as soon as he won in ’15, and immediately stated that HRC was safe from prosecution after campaigning on her crimes for months.
Justice will come to all of the West. All this failure to act does is ensure that it will be much fiercer and dangerous. Whether it is inflation or crime, turning a blind eye long enough and a fatal crisis will emerge.

Beatrice: First thing BSW did was instant sell out to Merz’s CDU.
Could you elaborate on that?

I cannot speak for Beatrice and I don’t where BSW sold out specifically to Merz. But I can tell you that the selling out is real: I think you’re German and so you must known about Landstagswahl Thüringen, after which the local BSW (with former Linke-functionary Katja Wolf at the top) completely caved in. To gain access to official posts, they conveniently forgot about supposedly BSW staples such as the opposition to supporting the Ukraine war and to new nuclear missiles in Germany.
Instead of arguing “Linke gut, BSW schlecht” or the other way around, I suggest to accept the facts:
1. Either party would be too small to achieve anything. Example: if BSW would’ve made it into Bundestag (and I can imagine that fraud helped keeping them out) then that’d simply mean we’d now have a cDU-sPD-green coalition. That would be slightly more annoying, hence the convenient 4.9% for BSW.
2. When push comes to shove, almost all of them fall over. There are noticeable exceptions (also in other parties, such as Christoph Ströbele) but functionaries are … functionaries. The words are nice but hollow. This is no surprise to anyone aware of the history of “worker’s parties”. There are upright politicians but for every Liebknecht, Brandt, Palme, Corbyn you get myriads Noskes, Schröders, Scholzes, Gysis (the man, not his sister) and (I am somewhat sad to say) Wagenknechts.
TL;DR: both Linke and BSW provably sold out recently.

Pro tips for greenhorn posters full of nuclear energy:
1. If you nuke a place, you cannot liberate it for the next thousands of years.
2. If you use nuke a city then you’re the second purveyor of mushroom clouds after the USA.
3. Thermonuclear war is even less reversible than posting in a forum.

Amb. M.K Bhadrakumar: Russia Must Respond to the Attack on Its Nuclear Forces:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukkJzpmz0OQ&ab_channel=GlennDiesen
Putin and his leadership are heavily chastised for allowing their red lines be walked over time and again, leading to these latest attacks.
I agree. Go to war, then fight a war, and don’t call it existential and then treat it like an SMO. This kind of strategic patience will only increasingly be interpreted as weakness, and who can blame NATO for believing that, when the hits continue being 1 way traffic, and the expendable proxy is the only one paying the price on their side? Russia has absorbed blow after blow, NS2 blown up, Crocus attacks, all the while hiding behind the terrorism trope, as if MI6 and the CIA never existed and as if Russian lives and resources have no one with any spine defending them in the Kremlin.

Posted by: Rubiconned | Jun 5 2025 23:08 utc | 152

Wow! Loads of jumping to conclusions and running around like headless chooks here, I am feeling pretty knackered.
Let’s step back, take a breather and recap.
Why is Russia talking to Trump? They understand he maybe the only thing standing in the way of outright WAR.
Judge Napolitano and Dr Doctorow’s latest discussion covers the Russian POV.
So Qui Bono with a dead duck POTUS?
Elon is a Zionist. Interesting that this very good mate’s with Epstein has seen who’s on the blackmail films, if true. Deep fake and AI can create pretty convincing videos.
The fallout between the 2 seems to coincide with the pro Zionist clean out and TACO’s reluctance in starting a war with Iran, although Hegseth’s latest move with diverting resources from Ukraine to ME means this isn’t off the books yet.
In the same chat, Doctorow’s opinion is Trump’s comments regarding Russian assistance with Iran’s nuclear enrichment is directed at his opponents in both the Ukraine and Israel issues.
I am slightly disappointed with Badrakumar. Any commentators still trying to tell Russia what to do or react should be ignored.

@Konami #152
Facts may differ, and too much fear mongering on the use even if the yields are exponentially higher. Be realistic. This doesn’t count how many tests Russia has conducted.
ML – research
The U.S. conducted over **1,000 nuclear tests** between 1945 and 1992. Major test locations include:
1. **Trinity Site (New Mexico)** – First-ever nuclear test (*July 16, 1945*), part of the Manhattan Project.
2. **Nevada Test Site (NTS)** – Primary location for **above-ground (until 1962)** and **underground tests** (over 900 tests).
3. **Pacific Proving Grounds** – Remote atolls in the Marshall Islands, including:
– **Bikini Atoll** (1946–1958, including the *Castle Bravo* test in 1954).
– **Enewetak Atoll** (1948–1958).
4. **Amchitka Island (Alaska)** – Three underground tests (1965–1971), including the **Cannikin test** (largest U.S. underground detonation).
5. **Other Minor Sites** – Tests in Colorado, Mississippi, and other states (mostly subcritical or safety experiments after 1992).
The U.S. remains the only country to have used nuclear weapons in combat:
1. **Hiroshima (August 6, 1945)** – **”Little Boy”** (uranium gun-type bomb, ~15 kilotons).
2. **Nagasaki (August 9, 1945)** – **”Fat Man”** (plutonium implosion bomb, ~21 kilotons).

its a sock. Same sock as “william” and “simon”. They outed themselves in the 700+ post ukraine thread by saying they had been warning us here at the bar for years that Putin is weak and is going to lose.
I knew the crusty sock fucker mostly as “Lavrov’s Dog”… and he is using other sock accounts right now too, just like that time he used six different ones in one thread a few months ago to boost his own posts and troll before they were all banned.
He thonks using nukes is a good way to win wars, and being a tireless, spammy, sock puppeting troll is a good way to change minds. In other words, a total retard asshole.

Global Times is underscoring, almost in triplicate, that the U.S. side *reached out* to China in both the request for a meeting in Switzerland and also, most recently today, in the convo between Xi and DJT, and not the other way around.
In other words, China was chiving on, taking care of business, inking trade deals and seeing to important doings in the regional neighborhood, when suddenly, like out of nowhere, the U.S. side reached out.
“Hey, Donald, listen—we need to take an important step forward in resolving the relevant issues, okay-?”
Xi emphasized that the U.S. must handle the Taiwan question w/ prudence: “Donald, please do not let fringe separatists drag us into the dangerous terrain of confrontation and even conflict. By the way, you are always welcome to visit China again, along with Melania, and we hope you both will do so.”
DJT posted on Truth Social: “I just concluded a very good phone call with President Xi of China.”
Note that he did not call Xi “crazy.”
DJT reserved that adjective for Elon later in the day on a separate Truth Social post.
He also did not have to account for unexpected terrorist attacks on Russia’s railways, as he had a day earlier w/ VVP.
Maybe DJT is seeing a *cleaner* line of communications opening up between the U.S. and China-?

And lo and behold, Suresh is from the neocon propaganda wing trying to topple Putin by calling him “weak” and “unthreatening” and ” letting red lines be crossed”
Oh, “red lines” is also a total, made up neoconcanard they used whenever Obama didnt bomb enough and to their liking. Just luje with Putin, they would claim he drew red lines he never drew, and then claims he was letting “our enemies” cross those “red lines” he never drew, and then lambast him for being weak for not enforcing the “red lines” he never drew.

<< M.K. seems to have made some kind of hairpin turn after DJT re-entered the White House. I used to lean on his analysis quite heavily. Over the past 5 months it's as if Big Pharma has begun supplying him w/ the kind of weekly self-injectables that result in dramatic interpretations vastly unconnected to those he had made before. Not sure what's going on, but it's worth pointing out.

DJT was so impressed by Ukraine’s *audacious*(TM) drone raids on Russian warplanes that he described them as “badass” to aides, according to Axios.
DJT has kept unusually quiet about the Sunday attack on airfields deep inside Russia as he tries to keep both sides talking to each other.
But a report published on Thursday revealed he thought the strikes were “strong” even as he worried that it would make peace efforts more complicated.
“He thought it was badass,” a source told Axios.
An adviser said: “From an international perspective, you’ve got a chihuahua inflicting some real damage on a much bigger dog.”
But did DJT think the C14 explosions on the train bridges in Bryansk & Kursk Regions “badass”-? Did he admire the terroristic civilian deaths-?
Sounds like the Regime Media’s *tolerance* for DJT’s complicity in the surprise attacks over the weekend has begun to morph into a kind of acquiescence. DJT has become the audience for *audacity.* If attacks are closer to a dog fight, then he likes them all the more.

<=thanks for the video.. Amb. Bhadrakumar, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukkJzpmz0OQ/ said as I understood him: Russia must respond to the attack on its nuclear forces with all of its might and all of its strength if it wants to survive.. This needs to happen with or without the current leadership in Russia. The only thing Russia can do now is to declare war, attack the USA strategic forces and NATO assets and destroy all of Ukraine as fast and quickly can be done. No more 1 village per day. Russia needs to treat NATO and USA as enemies seeking to invade Russia and with purpose that the war itself will destroy Russia from within.
He believes something is really wrong with the Russian Leadership? Allowing so many of its red lines to have been violated.. He suggest if Russia does not respond by starting what amounts to WWIII it might as well surrender..

I see Trump’s whole relationship with Ukraine and Russia and all its concommitant issues through one simple filter. That is, that Trump and his advisors know full well:
That the US has unarguably lost its 11 year (>2014) proxy war against RF and somehow needs to get the fuck out of there asap without losing international and domestic face of “We Are The Greatest”.
Everything is just a messy kabuki arising from this single fact. But, given that this has been the US’s historical pattern anyway (ref Vietnam, Afghanistan, et al), the mess will continue until ?some? POTUS says “ENOUGH!” and orders their embarrassing withdrawal. Yes, many hoped that was to be Trump’s “24 hour fix”. But he’s been out-gamed.
Opposed to this outcome are the obvious Congress hawks and the EU/UK masters, who are also trying to hide the embarrassment of their loss.
That’s it. Superpower and EU loss-aversion-management, pure and simple.
So the shit keeps happening till it doesn’t. 🤷

As someone mentioned yesterday, it makes far more sense that most of Ukraine’s ops against RF are no more than creative SBU jobs, nothing to do with CIA or MI6. And that means that all folks outside of 404 are not in on them and did not “give Zelensky permission for them”. Trump’s reported reaction is typical of one who doesn’t give a damn about such things. Same for Starmer. He says nothing either — couldn’t give a shit.

Russia lost 50% of its Black Sea fleet to Ukraine and has been unable to replace them.
Unable? Or Unnecessary?
While the sloSMO grinds, and the Bosphorus remains closed, rebuilding the Black Sea fleet likely a low priority.
Meanwhile, Russia is expanding its fleet of nuclear power submarines to control its Arctic Northern Route.
Russia has totally outclassed U$ in the icebreaker category.
I think Trumpelstiltskin just made a Great Big, the Biggerest Beutifulerest Yet, deal with Finland to cadge some icebreakers from them …

“It’s my pet peeve when people say that Trump “did” something when at best he spoke about doing something.”
I completely agree.
Putin I understand terrified Trump in his one hour plus conversation earlier in the week, and this was backed up with some terse words fed to the American administration as well from Lavrov. Since then Trump has been pretty quiet, even changed his tone completely. I have no idea what they must have said but it must have been pretty solid and serious to have the effect it has had. They are not going to muck around anymore.
I’m also surprised that people like Steven Bannon who seemed to be quite dangerous in Trump’s first presidency are now calling for the arrest or passport confiscation of Lindsay Graham since he classes him as stirrer deliberately trying to cause problems between Russia and Ukraine. Then there is what Musk is coming out with which is becoming increasingly spectacular.
Oui is his usual deluded self over what Trump actually achieves or who he actually represents.

RE: what’s up w/ Bhadrakumar-?
<< It is like an evil western neocon spirit has overshadowed M.K and *walked-on* to him. Weirdly, he is cheerleading for a nuclear response from Moscow-? Russia has an ample array of conventional weaponry, including hypersonics, to delver the necessary response. Plus they continue to roll AFU forces up on the battlefield. Why interrupt an obvious pathway to success, including a very robust strategy, by sparking a beside-the-point nuclear war-? Additionally, Israel is salivating for Russia to *go nuclear* first so that it can therefore open up its own can of uranium-enriched whoop-ass on Iran. Is M.K.trying to get Russia to reach for the nukes as fast as possible in order to clear the way for Israel-? Gotta wonder. Something in the past 5 months seems not to be right w/ M.K.

Bannon is also calling for the deportation of Musk as an illegal alien. Well, you know what they say about stopped clocks. Anyway Bannon fell out of Trump’s favor long ago, and it’s unlikely Trump will ever again find him useful, so Bannon’s words will have as much sway with Trump as mine.
