O/T – does anyone know of a good open source local network traffic monitoring application? I’m having some suspicious things happening on my PC, starting in the past couple of days. Or is there a native Windows command prompt to list all IP/port connections my PC is making/accepting?

Tom, you should make a backup of your system. A full copy of the hard drive on removable media. A back up hard drive is nice because you can physically swap it out. Qubes OS is the most secure Linux distro. Any important files or account credentials should be on air gapped media, removable media and paper copies is better.
It doesn’t matter how good your security is if the spooks decide to come after you, their hackers are better. During the covid crazies, some of the doctors targeted for disinformation had their Google accounts deleted and lost everything on their Google cloud drive. So back up early and often.

LOL!
I hope as I go out, as much textual white noise is focused on me as is focused on Peter AU1.
I am one of those that believes this is the same Peter as the old Peter and textual white noise here about the issue says more about the naysayers than Peter, who wants to enjoy a bit of favorable online community like myself.
Peter has and continues to go through some shit and I know a bit about that having been hit by a truck riding my bicycle 19 years ago. I thought about ending my life like Peter but didn’t work on it as hard…grin…. and now have healed beyond expectation and want to see the shit show go forward a bit….that said, I live in pain and rant about the evils of private finance hoping those devils will make me a martyr for a just cause.
Back to our civilization war…..the shit show continues until it doesn’t

At which point will American assistance to Israel be too much for China and Russia?
Because the goal is obviously to move the center of WW111 to the ME.
If they let this slip unopposed, they will live to rue it for a while.
I would start showing a serious interest in Mexico, Canada and Cuba again.
Or get some nuclear subs out and about those areas, presto. And with a bit of fanfare.

You can always ignore them. Get real though, “sucking up”? C’mon – to whom? There isn’t anyone here I won’t bite back if I feel like it’s worth the time or won’t screw up a thread too badly. Anyway, chill man. You’re not going to succeed in changing anyone’s minds about LD (or anyone else) that haven’t already been made up. What this poster Thatguy2 is doing is charmingly ironic. This poster is egging on two bar regulars into fighting each other. Does this situation remind anyone of anything?
“Russia and China aren’t doing enough™ to help Iran and are secretly aligned with the West! Time to topple Russia and China!”
You’ll see variations of the sentiment expressed above flooding the bar in the past couple of days. But now that Thatguy2 is asking Tom_Q_Collins to take Arch Bungle, LoveDonbass and William Gruff to task, there is a reluctance from Tom_Q_Collins to launch an all-out war against other posters that one might harbor some sympathies for. All of a sudden, the situation is complicated, there are nuances, there are long histories, and so on and so forth.
I wonder, do these complications and nuances exist in state-to-state relations?
I do agree with Thatguy2’s assessment that Arch is pro-intervention and pro-death outside of the safe confines of America, a very typical White Man’s Burden sort of mentality. To be fair, this mentality isn’t just found in Arch. Plenty of other MoA posters have it. “You savages don’t know what’s in your best interest, let us civilize you and teach you the proper way to wage war,” these posters will lecture. I can’t find the post now, but there was a bar regular whose name escapes me arrogantly proclaiming, “Why aren’t Russia and China doing something™ to help Iran? They should know that they’d be next! The nations that aren’t willing to listen to my helpful advice have clearly doomed themselves and are not worth saving!” They speak as if any “advice” here will ever reach the ears of the respective leaderships running countries where the majorities communicate in either Russian, Farsi or Chinese, and as if these nations ever needed an MoA barfly’s “advice” or said barfly’s savior complex.
If the Americans and American wannabes have so much creative energy and farsighted vision when it comes to running a country, why not direct that energy to a much more worthwhile and achievable endeavor (as citizens at the very center of the imperial core): toppling the current American regime (Obama/Biden/Trump I don’t care) and replacing it with a truly socialist one? Oh no, that would require actual effort other than marching around and voting, and that would involve the Americans’ own skin in the game.

Iran’s retaliatory strikes are more powerful than expected
– Why is there a tendency in the West to underestimate opponents? Iran’s “regime” would collapse, Russia could easily be defeated and their economy is weak, China cannot innovate, etc.
– These assumptions are not the result of informed debate. We are not allowed to dissent as recognising the strength of opponents is denounced as being “pro-Iran”, “pro-Russia” or “pro-China”.
– Bad analysis results in bad policies. What kind of policies do we get when it is not permitted to discuss the security concerns of opponents, not allowed to have an honest discussion about their strength, not allowed to speak with our opponents etc. Our culture of censorship and cancellation has made us blind, deaf and dumb.

China is today what the USA was in WW2, the military industrial powerhouse, those who had the USA on their side won WW2. China is far away from the conflicts and pretty much safe from attack on its industrial facilities, unless the USA wants to lose its Pacific fleet or get nuked. Those who have China on their side will win WW3. Long and short of it.
You’d think Washington, London, Brussels, and Jerusalem would get that, but the Japanese and Germans didn’t get it.

Correct. The USA has stepped into the role of Nazi Germany, one they clearly relish and are perfectly suited for.
In fact it’s the same entity, much of Nazi Germany simply moved to the USA and continued business as usual.

Indivisible security. No country is safe if the other (neighbour, adversary, ennemy) is not safe. That’s the key point promoted by Russia to solve the NATOxic crisis in Eastern Europe.
Rules and guidelines followed by all can bring security for all, and make the 2-5% of GDP currently used for “defense” to be used in improving citizens’ life quality (education, good jobs, health etc).
Changes in warfare (mini-drones from containers) means the usual thalassocratic scumbags are not protected by oceans and distance anymore. A swarm of drones spraying red paint on the City of London or Martha Vineyards/Aspen would be a good warning shot.

Two days ago, Israel assassinated nine Iranian scientists — university professors and researchers — in targeted airstrikes. Some of them were killed together with their families. Western media is acting as if this is an act of war.
Yet, this is a war crime, here’s why. 🧵 1/
2/ Under international law, these scientists are civilians. A university professor does not lose civilian status simply because their expertise may have military applications.
3/ Unless they are active members of the armed forces or directly participating in hostilities at the time, scientists are protected under the Geneva Conventions.
3/ This principle exists to safeguard academics, engineers, and researchers everywhere from becoming expendable targets in geopolitical conflicts.
https://x.com/Aboujahjah/status/1934205442911269257
4/ Not just in Iran, Palestinian scholars, engineers and even doctors in Gaza have repeatedly been assassinated or killed in airstrikes on universities and research centers.
In various countries, experts in nuclear and missile research were also assassinated by Israel.
5/ Yet, where is the indignation of the global academic community? Where are the statements from universities, scientific associations, human rights defenders, and those who claim to defend academic freedom?
6/ One must ask: Would the silence be the same if another state killed nine Israeli or Western professors in their offices or laboratories?
7/ Academic freedom must not be selective. The principle of distinction under international humanitarian law must apply equally to all.
https://x.com/Aboujahjah/status/1934206981734101486
8/ The targeted killing of scholars sets a dangerous precedent that threatens civilian expertise worldwide, irrespective of nationality or political context. Again and again, Israeli criminal practices and the impunity it enjoys are a danger to all.
This impunity must end.

IRGC statement:
The Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announces to the dear Iranian people that moments ago, a new and decisive wave of missile attacks was launched as part of Operation “True Promise 3,” more powerful and impactful than its predecessors.
These precision strikes targeted the command and control systems of the oppressive Zionist entity, utilizing advanced operational methods supported by sophisticated intelligence and armament capabilities, enhanced by the blood of martyred leaders: Bagheri, Salami, Hajizadeh, and other aerospace heroes.
This technical superiority led to the disruption of the enemy’s multi-layered defense systems, to the extent that some of its Patriot and defensive systems targeted each other, resulting in a major breach of the Zionist defense system, despite its full support from the United States and Western countries and their provision of the latest technologies.
Today, the prophecy of the martyred leaders has been fulfilled, who repeatedly affirmed that Operation “True Promise 3” and subsequent operations would be more painful, more accurate in targeting, and greater in impact than any previous operation.
This operation has also proven the falsity of Zionist and American enemy assessments, and clearly demonstrated the depth of intelligence and strategic failure in their calculations regarding the Islamic Republic. Today, we are witnessing the beginning of the collapse of the Zionist occupation entity.
We direct a clear message to the supporters of this criminal entity: precise and effective strikes will continue relentlessly until the elimination and complete disappearance of this artificial entity.

Wrong.
These monarchies stability stem from wise policies oriented to national development taken in the 70s-80s.
As a result people of Gulf monarchies are very happy with their governments.
These governments have insidiously \sarc shared national wealth with their populations, creating a large midddle class in just 4-5 decades and excellent infrastructure across their nations. Very much like China.

Interesting if this behaviour is cause or effect, or (as usual) a bit of both.
China are helping Iran with weapons, Israel and the USA (USUKIS) will in Iran have their longed-for chance for a direct war against China. And they won’t like what they get. USUKIS may have fallen into an Iran-China trap.
Just as Russia, by invading Ukraine, exposed themselves to NAZO attack on assets throughout Russia, now USUKIS and NAZO by attacking Iran have given China a coconut sty at all NAZO assets in the middle east. And the coconuts will start falling quite soon. And go on falling for quite a long time.

Israeli arms makers black-walled at Paris Air Show
The Defense Ministry condemns a last-minute decision by organizers of the Paris Air Show, acting on behalf of the French government, to bar Israeli companies from displaying offensive weapons systems just one day before the exhibition opened at Le Bourget Airport.
According to the ministry, the move breaks with standard global practices and was carried out overnight after Israeli defense officials had already completed setting up their booths.
After the Defense Ministry refused to comply, organizers erected black walls isolating the Israeli pavilions from the rest of the exhibition — including those of Turkey, China, and others.
Calling the decision “outrageous and unprecedented,” the ministry accuses the French side of hiding behind “political considerations” to sideline Israeli technologies that compete with French defense industries — particularly as Israel is waging what it called a “necessary and just war” against regional threats.

Iran joined the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and accepts IAEA inspectors. The IAEA inspectors then pass on kill lists of Iranian nuclear scientists to Israel. Israel has the bomb, exported the bomb to South Africa, and has the chutzpah to complain about others.
As part of any deal, Iran should demand Israel joins the Non-Proliferation treaty, and accepts Iranian inspectors of Israeli nuclear installations.

Well Israel had been able to bomb tents full of women and kids with f35 and claim combat experience. The one hit from Syria was claimed a bird strike. I always said just train a heap of geese to fly about at various altitudes as the perfect anti air defence. 3 down in 2 days cut the success rate somewhat. No birds were harmed in destroying the idf invincibility narrative. At least usa cant claim friendly fire on anything anymore from ansarallah

Meditation #22:
The entire premise of nuclear non proliferation is inherently racist, classist and elitist.
The notion that some nations (decided by who?) are pariah states that should not be allowed nuclear weapons is inverse to observed reality. I’m fact the very states that should not be allowed nuclear weapons are the very ones that controls their proliferation – and proliferate them!
What remains is a world where an elite clique of nations wield nuclear weapons in order to dominate the rest.
This offers no safety to the world, just another path to extinction.

The whole of their society is carried on the backs of underpaid help.

Not true either.
Their help is paid according to their help’s demand of pay.
Most managerial, engineering, medical and office clerk jobs go to local Arabs so there is not a strong dependence on ‘the help’.
GCC countries have good universities, better than most Western universities (according to rankings) and overwhelmingly oriented to STEM.
Expatriates from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, send large amount of remittances from Saudi Arabia, proving that their pay is sufficient for their livelihood and to sustain their families back home. Saudi Arabia is the second largest sender of remittances after the USA.
I’ve been in GCC countries on business many times. I got the distinct impression that they don’t need that much help (I often saw 5 to 10 short dark brown men in blue overalls tending to small patches of garden) but that they receive so many expatriates because they want to help fellow Muslim nations.
This vision of Gulf monarchies as evil and parasitic has been spread by Western liberals and those repeating such accusations have been fooled by Western propaganda. All to aggrandize so-called Western values vis-a-vis other cultures.

Well .. another thread running hot – soon hit 1000 as well!
b I think the happy hour is a bit too successful…😉
Well I can’t wade through all that from Page 1 – bad enough keeping up with the joy acroos west Asia and North Africa, Sahel and even subsahara – at the taste of justice and liberation from the yoke of centuries of exploitation.
Al I can see is the shapeshifters and their GreatShit in Chief – NuttyYahoo daily getting more exposed by the decades of words and deeds.
The incantations and wishful plans to devour the Persian Jewel in the Crown of EurAsian cradles of civilisation.
The Chinese are ready. The US plane fleet is flying across the Atlantic – unlikely it will return wholly… the Russian Federation is also ready to undo the damage that Stalin inadvertently did in allowing the construction of the illegal apartheid entity.
That consolation to the fascist imperialist Bankers for having failed to destroy and take Russia and China with their proxy Hitlerites and fellow fascists. That pustule from which the deluded supremacist settler colonialists are the excuse for expansion across EurAsia and Africa. (That last is where the preparations are being made to breed a bunch of African mercenaries to raid their own ancestral lands now iin the West)
TheAnglo American Oil Giant lost their control on Persia even as they maintained it across the various fake emirates, with fake sheiks, slave breeding desert tribals elevated to fake sheiks as fronts for Zio Fascist AngloEuropean world domination.
The fake kingdoms, their mirage cities and airline hubs and limitless (so far) air conditioning – doomed to collapse like a house of cards always does – is held together by a pearl necklace of special forces, and the U.K. and US armed forces DIRECTLY. Their civil fascist dictatorships enforced by western police and mystery intelligence operatives.
Justice awaits those pirates.
Which ever way these pearls are scattered by their clutching by our Wasters – they will never be allowed to girdle the throats of that ancient human civilisations again.
That high water mark already receding is the destiny of the Shapeshifters and liberation from slavery. Physical and MENTAL.
Now the fate of how soon and how painful it will be resides with JUST two Peoples.
Turks and Subcontinentals – the oldest imperial conquests.
I’ll exclude Japan – purely out of its demographics- I doubt it can muster a million man foots on the ground delusional fascists any more.

Yes, there are thousand worker dead per year in the construction industry of all countries.
So what’s your point?
It’s incredible how my fellow Westerners pass self-righteous judgement from their pulpits knowing so little about the world.

There is no apartheid system in GCC countries. The only apartheid state in existence is Israel. The imported warking class people into GCC countries are thankful for having the chance to support their families.

Not only Indian and Philipino labour but African, Bungaladesh and Sri Lankan labour as well. The “Kafala” system was anything but the arabic translation of, “to take care of”. Countless numbers committed suicide by throwing themselves off highrise balconies because they were abused by both the “master” and the “mistress”; refused days off, starved of food and deprived of water, physically abused, and were refused their passports back by their “kafeels” (sponsors) to return home.

10,000 migrant only construction workers die per year in the relatively low populated GC monarchies. The entire USA has less than 2,000 total construction deaths per year most annum dating back to the 2000 time frame.
Don’t worry, though. Trump is trying to gut OSHA and I’m sure they’ll double over the next half decade and make the Gulf Coast Monarchies look closer to normal for “first world” countries.
