Thanks for the replies to my @175. Again, too much Fog to make any sort of analysis, and the bombardment is nothing when compared to the bombing of Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. IMO, it’s rather clear even with the great lack of info that Iran still has control over its airspace. And there’s the big issue of range for Zionist jets as mentioned by me and a few others along with logistical preparation. Lastly, the issue of strategic depth is extremely important in any war of attrition, and the Zionists lack that.

“…what should happen if NATO enter the war….” NATO is involved. Their hardware has been burning on the battlefront since the SMO started. NATO was responsible for the failed Counter-offensive of 2023. Whether it’s planning or hardware, Russia has proven its’ superiority on the front-lines. The sooner this thing ends, the better for Ukrainians….NATO, which has been rent by internal schisms, will dissipate into the absolute elsewhere…a relief to everyone in Europe and the UK…

Re: destroying military airfields ?
Is a lot harder than one thinks. Holes in runways are easily and quickly repaired by unskilled convict labor. Since the Cold War, aircraft hangers are hardened. All the infrastructure systems are doubled and tripled.
Bombing Military Airfields is disruptive, rarely destructive.

Israel can and is doing real damage to Iran but Iran has a population of 90 million and is the size of western Europe, while Israel has a population of less than 10 million (with more and more brave blowhard patriots skedaddling out of the country as fast as they can) and is the size of New Jersey. Iran can absorb and diffuse a lot more damage.
Will the country unite and hold together? It did during the Iran–Iraq War, in point of fact it’s been holding together a lot longer, you don’t need to believe me, believe Google: “Persia, as a distinct political and cultural entity, has existed for over 2,700 years”.

Is this a joke? If NATO has entered the war, why is only Russia burning? Shouldn’t Russia respond? Or don’t they dare? This was my point from the beginning: Russia knows that if NATO enters the war with full force and a swarm of F-35s, they wouldn’t stand a microscopic chance of defending themselves conventionally. That’s why they don’t dare to respond. Now Usrahell are smashing Iran, a Comprehensive Strategic Partner in defense to Russia, without Russia daring to do a thing to help—beyond pathetic.

Mohsen Rezaei, IRGC commander and member of the Expediency Council:
🔘 The Israel had a multi-stage plan, the first stage of which was to assassinate and attack our nuclear scientists.
🔘 Israel planned to carry out further terrorist attacks against our employees in Iran on Saturday morning, but due to our retaliatory and consistent strikes, the enemy did not have time to carry out this operation.
🔘 In response, we carried out counter-actions, which I will describe in detail shortly. So this war continues and will continue for several more weeks.
🔘 With God’s help, one more defeat inflicted on the enemy will force him to retreat and cease his actions.
🔘 If the scale of the war seriously escalates, other countries that support Israel may become involved.
🔘 We continue to exercise restraint; we have unknown tactics that will be used with the same element of surprise. We have weapons and equipment that have not yet been used, and if the enemy continues his aggression, they will engage.

The US doesn’t say what it knows, it says what it wants.
In addition, Israel has the same control over the USA as a brain over the body..
Here is a short excerpt from a recent article by Rainer Rupp, published on RTde: (translated)
https://dert.tech/meinung/247913-schurkenstaat-zeigt-sein-wahres-gesicht/
“…
The accusation of the nuclear weapons state Israel is that Tehran must be prevented from developing a nuclear bomb – a weapon that Iran has rejected for decades on religious grounds on the orders of its highest institution.
What is currently happening with the support of the governing elites in the US, UK, France and Germany and many other countries of the collective West is quite something: The rogue state of Israel, which is armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons and is the only nuclear weapons state not to have signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty and also not to have placed its nuclear weapons under the control of the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency, this terrorist state, which is being investigated by the International Court of Justice on acute suspicion of genocide, is puffing itself up and claiming that the war it has launched against Iran is an act of self-defence. This is reminiscent of the sarcastic saying: “How can you tell when a Zionist racist and warmonger is lying? – When he moves his lips!”

“We continue to exercise restraint; we have unknown tactics that will be used with the same element of surprise. We have weapons and equipment that have not yet been used, and if the enemy continues his aggression, they will engage.”
Is it wise for Iran to exercise restraint at this time? Syria did and ended up getting de-fanged against Israel – lost its chemical weapons for example – by being very restrained during the war. And what did that get them, a long low-grade war and then a final collapse where EVERYTHING is now destroyed (Israel systematically bombed Syrian air defense with no opposition once western-backed proxies took over) or in the hands of enemies.
If it gets to the point that Iran will lose it better use everything or its enemies will get those weapons.

Iran helped Russia immensely with the drones as Iran had the technology and Russia was woefully behind and didn’t even value them until a year into the war. Iran had long before been able to land western drones, and it studied the technology and then made its own and developed them further.
Iran was very key and Iran was the one that made the offer.

I think this summer is it, the long awaited for economic collapse and WW3…
@ Ahenobarbus | Jun 15 2025 16:48 utc | 92

By the time official declarations are exchanged all around, we’ll have already been fighting WWIII for at least half a year. There will be no official starter flag for this real-time sequel to Apocalypse Now; merely a continuing slide into more overt hostilities and more deadly means, with occasional dramatic moments such as Iran bashing through the Iron Dome on our lucky day: Friday the 13th.
Without Iran’s retaliatory success, their future as a nation would be reduced to what USrael imposed on Syria: perpetual factional terror. On the other hand, with the current state of tit-for-tat stretching into attrition, I find the outlook bleak. Larry Johnson entertained the possibility of USrael’s aggression running out of steam, at which point Iran could also stop. But that scenario seems incredibly optimistic to me.
At some point, on their current trajectory, USrael is bound to go nuclear here. It’s like a Greek tragedy: the players locked irreversibly to their fates. Their dooms.

The Israeli Jewish population is about 7 million (and that includes the 1.3 million Haredi of which 60% of the men are non-working and non-fighting dole scroungers), and many of those have already fled abroad (mostly liberal Jews who produce most of Israel’s economic output). And that population is concentrated in just Tel Aviv and Haifa in a 40km by about 12km strip vs. the 91 million in Iran in a country three times the size of France.

The reason Iran hasn’t sent soldiers to Russia for the Ukraine war is that they’ve been in a war-like state, with their own militias being systematically targeted and destroyed piece by piece. They couldn’t afford to send troops for several reasons: they needed to maintain their own readiness, and they didn’t want to pour fuel on the fire by actively joining a controversial conflict. I’m not saying Russia should send soldiers either—soldiers aren’t what’s needed. It’s ISR and weapons that matter.

This determines the escalation ladder with nukes now quite possible. Does Iran have a choice about obtaining them given the repeated threats?
It’s now an imminent threat. They are going to win. What will the response be? Capitulation? Not likely.
This are times when we can’t see clearly and the future is unknowable. Dark times. Evil days.

Steve @ 258

I think Scott is eager to get back into the good book of the Zionists. I have watched a couple of his interviews about this conflict, and honestly I almost feel pity for him. He seems desperate to blame Iran for defending itself. Indeed he has just proclaimed that Iran will obliterated. It’s embarrassing to see this level of biased uninformed comments coming from the fellow.

He goes on and off his mood stabilizers, must be off again, or he needs his doctor to re-jigger the mix.

Israeli journalist Alex Rif wrote:
I just finished talking to a Weizmann Institute researcher whose lab collapsed under the weight of the destruction. He says entire labs were wiped off the map: instruments, equipment, years of pioneering research, even the people who spent their lives in those halls, all gone.
Among these laboratories was the laboratory of Professor Valery Krizhnovsky, who had been researching the secrets of biological processes associated with aging for many years. No one from the government responded: neither from the tax office, nor from the Ministry of Education, nor from the Ministry of Science.
I think we have to keep in mind that Israel is clamping down on information but information will inevitably leak out and it points towards : it’s not looking so great

So, again, Iran might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb.
If they are to be “punished” under the false premise that they are building a nuke, they might as well just get on with it.

The air defense systems didn’t help much… But you seem to miss the point: Russia and Iran have a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, where Russia should support Iran with intelligence and all defense-related matters. They should back Iran as the U.S. does for Israel. What’s the point of a partnership with a partner like Russia if all they offer is mediation support?
Posted by: Rageman | Jun 15 2025 20:06 utc | 247

whats the point of Russia helping Iran if Iran doesnt help Russia?
How many more war must Russia fight? Ukraine not enough for you?
Why do you stupid bitches always whine about Russia but not any of the other countries in the world?
Is Russia the great saviour of the world? Are Russian men sworn to die for all nations because you cry?

Iran is reacting, and just like Russia, in trying to show strategic patience and avoiding escalation, is only encouraging the enemy to hit even harder, and so far, the results at least for Iran and its allies, have been dire.

The Ukrainian war and the new Iranian-Israeli conflict are two entirely different conflicts on so many facets, to try to even compare them shows absolute stupidity and a hatred and obsession with Russia couched in decietful concern for them.
The current israeli-Iranian exchange has more similarity to the crusades or the mongols than the Russo-Ukrainian war.
But you Russia obsessed trolls will never stop. Every time you see a flat tire or garbage can overflowing you will try to somehow equate it to “Russian weakness and pathetic cowardice”.

from the news site Axios:

Driving the news: Netanyahu argued Israel was compelled to act because of Iran’s growing stockpile of highly enriched uranium, and because intelligence suggested Iran was resuming R&D on nuclear weaponization.
—Israel targeted nuclear enrichment facilities, centrifuge production lines and nuclear scientists in hopes of decimating the program.
Iran has long denied any intention of building a bomb, but has enriched uranium far beyond what is required for civilian use.

They couldn’t afford to send troops for several reasons: they needed to maintain their own readiness,

I) Russia is in a war, not war-like state. So maybe Russia needs their own shit?
2) so Iran didn’t have to help Russia because they got their own problems, but not a war at the time), but Russia has to help Iran even though it actually is in a war right now?

Aside from your views on Kevork.. i think you are missing how just as Iran is now under direct attack because it lost its proxies and the deterrence they served, if Russia and China allow Iran to fall they will be also greatly weakened and lose an ally, a key weapons and energy provider, and a valuable trade partner. Iran is now paying the price for its hesitation, Russia and China cannot afford to make the same mistake.

I hope they didn’t in this case, because if they did, they suck.
“whats the point of Russia helping Iran if Iran doesnt help Russia?”
What?! They’ve helped enormously, even providing Russia with blueprints and assisting in building drone factories!
“How many more war must Russia fight? Ukraine not enough for you?”
I understand that Russia lacks the U.S.’s ability to fight multiple wars simultaneously. But they should at least help their partners when they’re in dire need, especially when the enemy is the same as in Ukraine.
“Why do you stupid bitches always whine about Russia but not any of the other countries in the world?” Iran and Russia have the strategic cooperation, and I’m not talking about other countries right now. Even though Syria could be mentioned as a major failure. This time Russia has a perfect opportunity to return the favor. They could use Iran to strike enemies while hiding behind them.

Russia is 3 years into a war it should have won in weeks. Not losing to Ukraine is not ‘winning’. Russia is still a very long way to achieving its goals. Strategically, any win in Ukraine has already been offset by NATO expanding all over the Baltic. The Ruble is worth 50% of its pre 2014 value and the country has 20% interest rates… most of the economic growth is tied to defense spending and debt now. Russia also lost its ally in Syria, if it loses Iran, how long before it has to fend off another war across the Caspian Sea?

@220 Blindspot
That we know these people fabricate, say what they like etc. doesn’t change what we know, not one way or the other, regarding Iranian capabilities. It says the western narrative is unreliable and untrustworthy.
If you imagine the level of paranoia, or attachment to conviction, necessary to keep such a presentation viable ?
Well, if they believe, convince themselves, are persuaded, that Iran is close to obtaining a nuclear weapon, if it justifies a response that proves their own ability and hastens the end of an enemy or threat from it, they will take that opportunity.
It doesn’t even matter what Iran was or wasn’t up to, it no longer will be able to be up to that.
The fact that that presentation also fits into a wider much more obvious endeavour of regional control is also besides the point, does not prove a point, because each circumstance is dealt with, prepped out to be handled according to whatever method is most appropriate.
If they want to invent that Iran is building a weapon to attack it, they will. If they find Iran might be building a nuclear weapon, they will also attack. If they want to show off weaponry, they will find an excuse to use it. If they find that unconventional weaponry is the most feasible or only answer in a given circumstance , they will also use that.
We would not know, and we don’t know, not in advance.
All we know is the track record, which is ugly.
All we know is that respect for any kind of international protocol has been used up and then abandoned.
“Let them laugh, as long as they still fear”

“…Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, made comments on June 12, 2025, suggesting Iran’s capability to enrich uranium to near weapons-grade levels “at will,” according to a post on X. This statement aligns with reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which noted on May 31, 2025, that Iran had increased its stockpile of uranium enriched to 60% purity to over 408 kilograms, enough for multiple nuclear weapons if further enriched. Eslami dismissed IAEA concerns as propaganda but did not directly claim Iran was weeks away from a nuclear weapon.
The claim about being “weeks away” stems from IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, who stated in April 2024 that Iran was “weeks rather than months” away from having enough enriched uranium for a bomb, though he clarified that a functional warhead requires additional steps. No specific Iranian minister made this exact announcement.”

Let’s put 1+1 together –
So according to Wesley Clark it was 7 countries in the middle eats on the chopping board.
When Syria was being targeted – Russia outright intervened when it looked hopeless. Russia of back then is not Russia of today – plenty of grudges and accounts to settle to the west. If past action is a good predictor of future action then here you have a clue hasbara.
Next – China. China knows that cutting it off from oil is the text book move to choke them. Would China just jet this happen? I doubt it – there are already reports of Chinese planes arriving to Iran and we are on the first days of this mess.
Remember – also China and Russia are not looking for satrapies – a la USA. Iran will have to prove it’s a regional power and can actually be the southern lynchpin of BRICS, and most definitely Iran is not Syria. Even Pakistan is making indirect noises that they’d back them up.
