Tic-Toc 9 On The War On Iran

A ceasefire.

To be broken in 3, 2, 1 …

Added:

Patrick Armstrong

So, what have we learned?

  • Iran is a lot more powerful than many people thought.
  • Western air defence systems aren’t very effective.
  • Who knew those little Iranian lawnmower-engined dorito drones could get all the way to Israel?
  • Hypersonic missiles are invulnerable and very frightening.
  • Tehran now knows which missiles in its arsenal are most effective and which most effectively soak up the enemy’s air defence and will build accordingly
  • Tehran’s decision to follow the missile-based armament route is vindicated. Suvorov: “Fight the enemy with the weapons he lacks“; Sun Tsu: “avoid strength and strike weakness“. `Others will notice.
  • Israel has used up the sleeper cells and intelligence penetration that it had built up in Iran.

and

My predictions.

  • The damage in Israel will be much greater and much more effective than we have been told.
  • In Iran, not so much.

I agree.

I see many people focus on Trump. Trump being unreliable, Trump forcing a “ceasefire”, Trump this, Trump that. All this was already clear, or should have been to anyone paying attention, from during his first term. The problem with this kind of ventriloquist doll gazing as that when resistance increases beyond a certain level it would only require a replacement (by impeachment, assassination or election) for the monstrous show the continue.
The events that have unfolded wouldn’t have been any different under Bush, Obama, Biden, Clinton, Gabbard, … not even Sanders. They would all have applied their own particular brands to defend (or ignore) the obscene grotesque lawless behavior of the US empire they serve.

So it might be legitimate to see Trump as opposed to the powerful war factions in the US rather than as merely another face for those factions. With the midterms looming he doesn’t have much choice but to attempt to placate or outmanoeuvre those factions. It doesn’t look pretty but maybe he’s doing it the only way it can be done.

I have come to a similar conclusion.
Overall, excellent summary of the state of the western world.
There is the rise and fall of empires, in this case the american empire began at the end of WWII and is now falling.
The rise and fall of the western civilization though spans a far longer period though. Now we watch the collapse of the western civilization along with the collapse of the American empire.
It was always difficult to migrate to Russia, but after the Paris olympics, Russia opened its gates to cultural refugees from the west. That is just one aspect of the collapse of civilisation but I guess it showcases how so many here in the west are now quite distanced from any form of reality.

Today the US markets are up over a percentage so far.
All this at a time where geopolitical reality would have prudent investors rushing to safe havens like gold and away from the equity markets….but what do I know?
When you own the money system and have a history of creating your own and the world’s reality, how does it fail? I hope we find out.
I continue to posit that at the core humanity is in a civilization war about public/private finance and the war in the ME is a desperation move by the God Of Mammon cult to rally “those of faith” around the top/bottom form of social organization but misrepresenting it as “freedom/democracy” over “authoritarian” governments because we are evidently not adult enough yet to talk about the public/private finance issue in public.
Why can’t humanity have a discussion about the mixed economy they want their government to support and the implications of public/private finance in achieving those goals? I bet Iran would support and participate in that sort of dialogue. How about Occupied Palestine and the West?

I watched as the evangelical churches, backed by big bucks, took over the US. My own sister used to go to giant concerts on the public beach Huntington, in LA. I warned her that they were right wing Christians, but she said they were fun. Where did the money come for that, and why were they allowed to take over a public beach?
Now we have giant mega-churches all over the country, and they preach end times and hateful gospel. Where do the funds come from to build and maintain these enormous churches in poverty-stricken areas?
They did the same thing in Central America. I remember reading back in the 90s that religious groups were handing out free TVs in the ghettoes that didn’t even have electricity, but they taught them how to run illegal wires to bootleg. And the only thing on TV was the evangelical stations. And now there are countries in Central America that have more evangelical Christians than Catholics.
We know the Muslims went through the same process, with the Saudis/Americans setting up madrassas in multiple areas to teach jihadist-based Islam.
So I’m wondering if the Jews went through the same process. Why is Israel so right wing and violent now? No more socialist kibbutzes, just Israelis voting for Netanyahu and condoning massacres in Gaza, and takeovers of Palestinian land in the West Bank.
How did that happen?

Over 80% strongly supported the genocide.
Of the 20% that did not, most just wanted to get the hostages back first.
One could claim they are ‘innocent’ victims of relentless Zionist propaganda, but then to do so would mean excusing 80% of Nazi Germany, even those ‘poor dupes’ who engaged in war crimes, atrocities and genocide?
Better to try and de-Zionise newcomers before allowing indefinite leave to remain…good luck.

I assume you’re from Scotland, so it’s okay to not know how the American system works. Impeachment starts in the House- you need a simple majority to send articles of impeachment on to the Senate. In the Senate, you need a two-thirds majority to convict, which actually removes the President. I haven’t personally seen the Democrats get higher than 60 out of 100 seats there in an election.
Now, you can get Republicans to vote for impeachment. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins did over January 6th, as did Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, Pat Toomey, Richard Burr, and Bill Cassidy. Of the men in that group, only Cassidy is still in the Senate- he isn’t going to run in 2026 no matter what he says, because Republicans are going to flay him.
The point is, important cross-party Senate votes are really hazardous to your career. If a President is much more popular with your base than you are, you might be taking your life into your hands. Maybe AIPAC could get ten Republican Senators to vote for impeachment after a Democrat midterm tsunami: maybe it would end with Lindsay Graham cowering under his desk again, before a pack of men with machetes and SMGs tore up Congress. It’s a hell of a risk.

Good points made there, one could argue that there are no innocent settlers in the occupied lands – if you move to the occupied lands – you must surely know what you’re getting yourself into – which is usually a shouting match with a Palestinian, who has worked his land – as has his ancestors for generations – and you show up with an AR-15 and two IDF troops to intimidate, beat, and more often than not – kill the Palestinian and take his lands.
European banks have been falling over themselves to finance the building of apartment blocks on stolen lands in Palestine – I recall several very old Palestinian women in an interview in a documentary, I think it was by the late Robert Fisk – hold up the keys to their homes that were stolen from then in the 1948 Nakba – of course the houses no longer stand, they were bulldozed decades ago – and new house build to house settlers.

Palantir, you say?
Well, according to Alastair Crooke the key ‘intelligence’ that Trump used to ignore the entire National Security apparatus of his own administration came from Palantir’s own, super-duper AI slop.
Hopefully Trump has now crayoned across the top of his full length mirror:
“A.I. IS NOT GOD! ”
“THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER”.
Posted by: ChatNPC | Jun 24 2025 18:17 utc | 382
To be fair, Crooke’s title was
The key nuclear allegation that started the war was coaxed from a Palantir counter-intelligence algorithm
I took his reference to “coaxed” to be something along the lines of “How to lie with statistics” – in other words he is implying that they cherry-picked.
However, perhaps my example does not suffice, but I stand by the main argument that private AI machines can be built to specialize, and be useful (HuggingFace, Reddit, GitHub are awash with privacy advocates building their own machines. I assume that corporate level scales up.)
I don’t think AI is god, but now that, among other tricks, it controls autonomous weapons that kill people it’s probably not slop either.

Posted by: wagelaborer | Jun 24 2025 19:01 utc | 415
Zionism has always been a right wing ideology founded on violence.
The contemporary writings of Herzl, BenGurion and Jabotinsky, and contemporary critics such as Leopold Weiss (Muhammad Asad) and Bertrand Russell have always shown it to be a racist, supremacist ideology born in the mid 19th century, a relic of the European colonial era, when white people believed by virtue of their superiority as a race they were entitled to the landa of inferior people in Africa, Asia and Americas.
Zionism still teaches that European Jews are superior to everyone else, but especially in the Middle East (what would be considered the native peoples), and that this entitles them to whatever they want.
In addition, they teach that the Holocaust entitles them to do anything they want, to whoever they want, to ensure their survival against a hostile world, which basically means everyone else, but especially in the Middle East.
These beliefs can only lead to violence and hatred towards everyone else, which can be seen in their own scripture the Old Testament, the writings of Zionist ideologues, and in the speeches and behavior of Zionists in Israel today.
The idealism that led to the kibbutzes was an illusion, since no kibbutzes invited native peoples to join and benefit from their shares resources. Zionism by its very nature is a supremacist ideology, and the socialism seen in Israel today is meant only to benefit the superior race, not everyone.

Iran should have disregarded trumps so called ceasefire, it came at a momment when israel was in a state of colapse. Forget the US airbases direct the firepower at israel and get the job done.
US bombing of Iran was just a desperate atempt to draw fire.
Iran has missed its goldan opotunity, that may be expensive.
Never let a bully stand up again.
I call this un negotiated trump ceasefire total bullshit. Trump america and netinyhoo israel dont want peace , they want to distroy Iran.

So I’m wondering if the Jews went through the same process. Why is Israel so right wing and violent now? No more socialist kibbutzes, just Israelis voting for Netanyahu and condoning massacres in Gaza, and takeovers of Palestinian land in the West Bank.
How did that happen?

Don’t forget the influence of Christian Zionists, most famous of whom is Orde Wingate – honoured and revered in the settler colony.
Lord Hardthrasher has a warts and all bio of the guy.
Progenitor and leader of the 77th Brigade in Burma (The Chindits), militarily incompetent, psychopathic and killer of far more Chindits than Japanese troops, he cut his teeth as an imperial enforcer in Mandatory Palestine (teaching Zionists the worst of tricks), he had friends in high places (Churchill and Wavell) and somehow won acclaim in wartime propaganda.
Part 1
Part 2
There is a certain irony in the reincarnation of the 77th as a cyberoperations unit (aka propaganda and sneakyspooks) ‘below the line’ in the comments sections and forums across the interwebs.

From what I can tell, no information sources better than yours, Israel has been shot to Hell and is not getting back up. Tel Aviv is not being rebuilt, why would anyone spend the money or take the risk of being there? We have no notion of how many are dead or how many bodies are in the rubble. And no one will ever talk about it.
Iran can fire at will if Israel misbehaves. Go ahead and re-stock your interceptors, made no difference first time, won’t matter second time.

It is excellent !!
Fiat currency isn’t the problem. Why the first thing your enemies do is take it from you. It’s how you use it that matters. The problem for decades is imposing rules on it and economic theory on it as if you were either still on the Gold standard or still on fixed exchange rates. That’s what neoliberalism and neocinservatism is.
See the NATO economic charter and EU treaties for details. Laffer curve trickle down of the right. All based on gold standard or fixed exchange rate type thinking. A world of myths. That no longer apply.

The prices of gold and silver do not reflect much as they are easily manipulated.
Estimates vary as no one knows the real figures, but it is accepted that for every oz of physical gold and silver , there exists between 300-500 oz (probably much more) “paper” gold and silver. This consists of precious metal pools, leases, futures etc.

I was told that repeating is a mother of knowledge. Let me educate you:
Kingdom of Serbia never had a seaport in Split.
Republic of Krajina never had a seaport in Split.
South-Slavic Croat tribes settled in Dalmatia in 7th century, after the Avars evicted the Romans.
In 1069 Petar Krešimir IV, King of Croatia, gained control over Dalmatian islands and cities, including Split.
Split is a Croatian city.

Iraq?

Ukraine?
Or why other nations should have so much difficulty in repatriating their national gold reserves from US or British vaults?

All born and bred in gold standard or fixed exchange rate type thinking. That’s THE problem they refuse to let go even though we came off it. Their theories no longer apply.
It just so happens they are very good geopolitical tools to enhance imperialism and extortion – Which is really what the Gold standard, fixed exchange rate type thinking is really all about.
It was imperative they created an economic system that represented NATO. They even boasted about creating it. Just read any NATO economic charter today.

No question that the peace Nobel prize is a joke and should just be stopped. But giving it next year to Trump for the US-Israel-Iran affair would still make more sense than Kissinger and Obama. Again, the US played a dirty, belligerent game (the fake negotations with Iran will be remembered) but the other guys are even worse war criminals.
Remember when half of MOA was going nuclear? Especially if Israel disappears or Netanyahu gets regime changed (so that a saner puppet is installed), keeping this war at twelve days would’ve been a good thing. This still assumes that Likud doesn’t get to heat it up again (the current noises from the Democrats are exactly in that direction) and the Gaza genocide remains an eternal stain for the entire West — this is a tragedy on Warsaw Ghetto proportions.

When your candidacy is founded on donors, the donors control you. They control your agenda.

According to the team behind it, the secret sauce is magnesium hydride, a powder that stores hydrogen in a solid form. The weapon is detonated using a standard starter explosive that breaks the solid main payload apart into tiny particles, releasing the stored hydrogen gas.”
