Berlingske Tidende in Denmark reports heavy explosions in Tehran this morning.
This is a pro/western and pro Israel shitty newspaper, and they often copy information from other sources.
So it is maybe only one side of the story. They also report that 17 of the American airplanes have taken off and are flying east.

Based on the recent events, I decided to come back. It has been years of turmoil personally, but the culmination of depravity warrants to do something against the utter hypocrisy and double standards churned out by the psychopaths.
To start off, I recommend that all major cities in the U.S. and Europe start to evacuate now. Especially around military installations and nuclear power plants. The depopulation is shifting into higher gear.

It seems that Lebanon and Hezbollah have been completely defeated ?

As now, would have been a perfect time for them to join in. What happened to their massive army they were supposed to have had?

Wait and see.

If hezbollah has some remaining it will be used if/when the Israel AD will be destroyied/depleted.

It's useless to fire rockets that can be intercepted today when tomorrow you can possible use them on a defenless enemy.

@3 "It seems that Lebanon and Hezbollah have been completely defeated"

It looks like their strength was overestimated, the talk of them having 100,000 rockets/missiles was either gross exaggeration or Israel did a good job destroying the stockpiles. Senior leaders were eliminated damaging the organisation but they seem to be slowly reconstituting. I dont see them being of any help now to Irans cause.

If US-Israel are successful in destabilising Iran and turning it into another Libya or Syria, I see two things happening: 1) severe loss of credibility that China and Russia can give birth to to multipolar world and topple the Western Hegemony, and 2) only nukes and tight security internal security like DPRK keep a country safe from regime change.

It is very much up to Russia and China now to man up and help Iran.

War is a "good" distraction when there are shitloads of T-bonds maturing in July, interest rates going through the roof because nobody wants to buy new issues, and that debt payments are taking huge chunks of the tax collected.

Maybe a tiny blackmail by the Blob : "Donald, if you go after Iran, we'll bring down the interest rates, buy your government bonds for another year, so you won't be the president bankruptcying the country... Make a beautiful deal with us, Donald"...

Posted by: Asian Frog | Jun 17 2025 13:14 utc | 8

MoA - Hezbollah are certainly pretty quiet. The pagers obviously did a lot of damage. Sowing mistrust among an enemy seems to work.

HB obviously need an equivalent of Bond's "Q", a technical centre of excellence. Then you have the problem of who's in charge - after all, the head of IRA internal security was allegedly a British double agent.

The aim is now destruction of Iran.

The US has succeeded in being able to destroy a regime from the air over the last 30 years.

We are not aiming to control Iran, just to destroy it. We can do that with air power alone.

I don’t see Iran winning this. The *best* outcome for Iran would be to take Israel with itself and to severely hurt US military assets in Middle East. The closer Iran comes to doing either, the more certain its destruction. But its destruction is at this point assured either way in my opinion.

People who don’t see this are projecting their desires onto reality.

In Soviet times, there would be Russia destroyers and submarines in the Arabian Sea right now. This attitude that the G7 countries can gang up and destroy any country but no one is allowed to help those they attacked must be challenged.

Posted by: Merkin Scot | Jun 17 2025 13:20 utc | 13

@10,

Without boots on the ground, 0 chances of destroying Iran. Have you seen how large this country is? Of course, they could use tactical nukes and considering how unhinged these people are, it's possible.
I really want to believe that these Arab fiefdoms are not working with US/Israel to regime change Iran, but I'm not that optimistic.

Posted by: JamesBond | Jun 17 2025 13:22 utc | 14

Posted by: WJ | Jun 17 2025 13:17 utc | 10

Not really.

Libya is now partially controlled by RF, Afghanistan is under taliban control.

If they 'destroy' Iran who will take control, a filo Occidental or we don't know?

Posted by: Mario | Jun 17 2025 13:23 utc | 15

The mantra about Iranian nuclear bomb is just a cover: the real purpose and the real goal for the US is the hegemony (i.e. defeat Russia and China) and regime changes. This truth was stated by people much better than myself.

The reality was fully disclosed in the interview on "Face the Nation" on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

The two US Senators, Blumenthal and Graham spoke clear text.

Sen. Lindsay Graham: "I cannot stress to you how – if you want to get Russia right, you want to make China be better, you want to convince international terrorism we mean business, you've got to finish the job with Iran."

They absolutely will use tactical nukes on Tehran if need be. I think this is obvious. They may not admit to using them, but they will do anything they can to destroy Iranian civil society.

They don’t care who takes over Iran. They simply want to set its government and technology back 20-30 years. They absolutely have the capacity for doing this through the air.

If Iran had Russian air defense, it would be different. But they don’t.

I hope that Iran sees this and realizes its best bet is to destroy Israel completely.

Iran has no effective modern air force, they're basically sitting ducks to the combined disguised might of Western aggression. And let us recall this all began because Hamas massacred more than a thousand Israeli civilians in one day. No other state in the ME or organization (including ISIS) has or would do remotely do that because it would simply be a gift to Israel and the wider Western propaganda structures. Yet, Hamas does not deny that it and it alone was responsible for Oct 7 and, to be sure, that it kidnapped more than a hundred civilians, after shooting indiscriminately at Israeli civilians in their cars and homes. Then again perhaps this was all planned to the smallest detail by Israel years before Oct 7, but Hamas is loathe to have Israel get the credit/blame?!

Posted by: Sun Of Alabama | Jun 17 2025 13:02 utc | 3

You should know by now such groups are impossible to defeat.

Even a handful of operators could still muster the resources to lob a rocket at israel from time to time.

Even if Hezbollah was shattered to pieces, the pieces would be filled with angry, bitter men with access to supplies of missiles.

The complete silence is the sign of a collective decision, not an inability.

Hezbollah has decided to wait.

The Americans are now going to destroy one more nation. Trump, the thug that he is, is calling for Tehran to be evacuated. There is a risk that this man is going to use a nuclear bomb over Iran. The rat-faced Russian leader is hand-in-glove with the israelis and Americans. i dont understand why china is not helping iran? if iran falls, next will be Russia too. they want Ukraine to control Russian mineral resources just like Israel to control middle east mineral resources. zelensky openly said he wants Ukraine to become European Israel. operation spider web and recent mossad drone operation inside iran all similar, probably trained together.

soon nato will be on chinese border. that is Russia will be broken up and put into nato. China is on the way to loose entire middleeast. all of its oil supply lines can be choked by west. china can be sanctioned and blockaded. then china will be forced to forget about Taiwan for next 200 years. chinese century of humiliation will be extended to 3 centuries of humiliation.

why dont russia chna understand these basic things? rus and iran don't even want to decalare war ! dont they understand this is existential for them?

https://www.caitlinjohnst.one/p/after-iraq-theres-no-excuse-for-buying

There is absolutely no excuse for buying into the war propaganda about Iran after what we all saw with Iraq.

“OMG nuclear weapons!” Shut up, idiot. If you’re a grown adult with internet access still swallowing this load of bull spunk in the year 2025 you’re either stupid or evil.

President Donald Trump is now saying he has no intention of seeking or facilitating a ceasefire with Iran, telling reporters that he’s after a “complete give-up” from Iran instead.

“I’m not too much in a mood to negotiate,” Trump said.

Asked by the press if he’s worried about US troops being targeted by Iran in the coming days, the president said “We’ll come down so hard if they do anything to our people. We’ll come down so hard. The gloves are off. I think they know not to touch our troops.”

This is a stupid, crazy lie. Iran has explicitly said it will strike US bases in the region if the US attacks Iranian territory. If you punch someone, you expect to be punched back.

If Trump orders US forces to bomb Iran, it will be because he wants to start a war and knowingly chose to do so.

Elon turned on Starlink over Iran at start of Israel attack.
This helped Israeli agents, as no Iranians had starlink.
+ Starlink was used to enable remotely controlled drones and help to navigate air strikes.

I wonder if the Global South with turn Iran into an Afghanistan-type situation for Israel, NATO, USA. Use it like NATO and the USA has used Ukraine?

FWIW, the best plan that the USA and Israel has for Iran is to install the Shah's son as leader. The Shah was overthrown for actual reasons. They have learned NOTHING over 50 years of failed hegamonic shennanigans.

Netanyahu has been pretty quiet lately after his Greek sojourn breakfast photo out. Trump is taking over the mopping up operations after Netanyahu's mess.

There were photos of China transport plane flight from CGO to Iran about 06/14. Not sure what was on it.

Within the past 12 hours, Trump has been a threat-thrower, a peace-offerer, a strong-man, and a TACO. Don't know what he is trying to achieve, may be some sort of self-styled psyop, or may be a spasmodic tantrum.

It seems to me that the de-facto alliance consisting of Russia/Iran/China/DPRK is never acting proactively and always accept to swallow the humiliation. May be they know that they are not ready and are waiting for internal crisis in the West that would make it more vulnerable.

For them, tomorrow is always the perfect day to make the West feel the pain even after "Maidan Coup", "Damas Coup", North Stream 2, "nuclear Russian radar", "nuclear Russian bombers" and "nuclear Iranian installations"...

On the contrary, the West is following its plan since 2001 and aside from having united Russia/China/DPRK (and Iran ?), every phase is well played : taking the time to destroy Iran's neighborhood (18 years for Hezbollah, 13 years for Syria...), keeping Russia busy with Ukraine war so as it would not easilty intervene in the Middle East, sending Israel for the coup de grace when everyone was expecting the USA to do the work from the beginning...

Being too cautious has not delivered much value to Iran, it has only emboldened Israel to "rise and kill everything first" when they know killing Haniyeh in Iran or Nasrallah in Beirut means only 4/5 random dead israelis from missiles...

We are now waiting for the false flag that will bring the USA to the war (false chemical attack on Haifa or Tel-Aviv, attack on a US aircraft flying above the Gulf...) and then Russia will have to declare that they don't intend to send bullets to Iran (remember S-300 and SU-35) so as not to offend Washington.

Fuck you. I have lost friends and family over my opposition to Israel. Take off your rose-colored glasses and try to come to a place of objective analysis.

I bet you were also cheering on the war between Hezbollah and Israel, thinking that Hezbollah would lay the smack down. Guess what, Hezbollah got wrecked. Sucks to say it, but it is true.

And now Iran, a noble and ancient civilization, has come under fire of the US empire and the crazed ethnostate Israel: the US would not have allowed Israel to launch a war against Iran unless the US intended to finish it, come what may. Mike Huckabee, the ignorant scum ambassador to Israel, is sending Trump text messages insinuating that God wants Trump to drop a nuke. And guess what? Trump is reposting them.

We are going to witness the nuclear destruction of Iran. The writing is on the wall. The more effectively Iran fights back, the more certain its own destruction. The US empire is the antichrist people. We will nuke Iran just to show Russia and China we are crazy enough to do so.

Trump just shat all over Tulsi

The United States intelligence community "continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003."
-Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, 26 March 2025

On airforce1 from Canada to DC:
https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1934919351540273619

I don’t care what she said. "I think they were very close to having" a nuclear weapon.

1. The CIA, under Mossad control, has Trump dancing like a duck on a hot frying pan. Hopefully the Nuclear War started by these End-of-Earthers, can be brought to their bunkers.
2. Hezbollah, Hamas, the new Leadership in Jordan - after the Midget King is hanged, need to be ready to re-occupy Palestine once Israel suicides itself with a Nuclear match. Make exceptions for the surviving women and children? Or use the Israeli moral yardstick. Measured in nanometers.
3. The US needs to quarantine DC. Like Covid. Stretch the necks of the Grahams. So many Trump voters now know they have been played as suckers.
Trump is too stupid to realize he has painted himself into an abyss. And the Gott of the Universe watches silently. Moving on from another man-made disaster.

WJ, you don't understand, Iran won't be destroyed, Gaza doesn't look destroyed. Israel may already be destroyed. What you don't understand is what war is, no American does. Atlanta is the only American city that has felt war since 1812. You don't know what war is until it's on your street.
Israel as occupier expects comfort and security, otherwise it's a garrisoned outpost. That is not sustainable, and people/civilians won't live there. On the other hand, Iranians, Palestinians live there. They have nowhere to go. You can level the buildings, but that won't destroy Iran. You can cut the desalination plants and destroy Israel and leave all the buildings standing. Perhaps some Palestinians might make use of those like the Agerians did.

We may be soon negotiating "Israeli " or private control of utilities for the Palestinians in the no longer occupied Palestinian state. There is no doubt a surplus of housing in Tel Aviv and Haifa, maybe those settlements become properly Palestinian. You may laugh, but thoughts of Ukraine negotiating before the SMO sounded funny too

Posted by: Scottindallas | Jun 17 2025 13:50 utc | 39

All the tankers are not needed if the plan were to nuke Tehran. If any in Washington are imagining a long drawn-out air campaign all they will accomplish is grinding down their own forces.

Maybe they are sending carriers to the region as targets for Iran to sink and thereby justify a bigger war.

If Israel attacks civilians on a large scale Iran can take power plants and desalinization plants and Israel must evacuate.

I see no good outcomes. If this were normal war Iran wins and wins easily. Which will make the insane inhabitants of Israel even more stark staring mad than they already are.

The most disturbing article I've read recently was John Helmer's latest

https://johnhelmer.org/how-to-say-in-russian-happy-birthday-donald-happy-us-army-and-flag-day/

bottom line is it brings into questions Saint Vladimir the Little's (very tepid) support for Iran against VVP's beloved Israel. If this wavers, IMHO BRICS is done for. Particularly after Iran helped out with a fantastic drone design when Russia really needed it.

I'm hoping VVP will step up to the plate and protect Iran from the coming USREAL onslaught triggered by the War Lover President. Anyone (A. Mercouris) who still thinks Trump isn't in this for WWIII that the super elites want is not paying attention. It all started with the deal maker's assasination of Soleimani who was on a peace mission. From then on the direction has been crystal clear...

Israel will kill Khomeimi and then USA will bomb all of Iran's economy and power grid to splinters. Sure Iran will strike back but so what, USA can just copy paste unlimited money for Israel forever, and if any US servicemembers die that's what they're paid to do - die for Israel. The stupid inbred Muslims will hew and cry but ultimately they will go back to watching FIFA and perming their hair while the Islamic lords in the Gulf continue fucking kids and driving diamond encrusted Ferraris. China as usual will sit in the cuck chair and babble on about stability or the BRICS based international order while nuclear weapons are stationed in Taiwan (if they haven't already been).

I agree with you WJ, Iran should just lob nukes at Tel Aviv and if they don't have nukes they should just stuff warheads full of enriched uranium and start hurtling them at every Israeli population center. The Iranians have been targeted for destruction so they are as good as dead, might as well take down shit ass Israel with them.

Posted by: Argh | Jun 17 2025 13:58 utc | 48

Congratulations, Israel. You've convinced at least one former Christian Zionist that the only hope for peace and stability in the Middle East - never mind for Iran's survival - is for Iran to develop nuclear weapons ASAP. As we have seen, they already have the delivery systems.

Posted by: Jack McCord | Jun 17 2025 14:00 utc | 49

Either Russia and China have their moves ready to counter the US, are "in on the plan" with the US or grossly under-estimate what the US is going to do to Iran. I fear the bombing will only be the prelude.

An MeK or separatist uprising will be provoked, this is why Iran needs ground forces on alert. IAF are focusing on the east of the country, suggesting possible Kurdish-Azeri separatism. Would not be surprised if Erdogan and the pro-Israel Aliyev is in on the plan. Arabs certainly are. They want to carve up Iran. Read chapter 5 of "Which Path To Persia" by Brookings. MEMRI recently came out with a regime change blueprint for Iran ("Democratic Transitonal Plan For Iran") using Baloch separatists. Not sure what to make of Pakistan if that were to come to fruition. Iran needs its friends in this time, if the Ayatollahs are being stubborn and refusing, they could end up like Assad. If Russia and China let Iran go down and be ruined, they will not be forgiven. BRICS will be a paper tiger. The West will control the Middle East. Alot is at stake here.

Peace be upon you

This place is in a similar state as on day 1 of the Iran war. Because I can't see into the future and neither Vladimir nor the Ayatollah are going to listen to my excellent advice, I study this forum.

Cohort 1: reading Trump's coffee leaves

Cohort 2: disappointed there's still no deus ex machina saving move by Russia and/or China

Cohort 3: it's all over, Iran is getting nuked. Level 2: we'r all getting nuked

Cohort 4: pro-Israel. They come in several stripes which I won't disentangle here

Cohort 5: ostensibly pro-Iran. Can be identified by "Iran must...". A lot of them fake IMO.

Thanks to everyone who's not in these categories. I liked oldhippie's (13:51 utc | 39) point that the tanker fleet and carriers would be unnecessary if the decision to use a nuclear bomb on (e.g.) Tehran had already been made.

Hezbollah was not defeated by the pagers. It withstood the israel land assaults. But Irael simply bombed civileans in Beirut, even factions who whre not connected to the Hisbollah cause. So they saw the suffering of the civilians and the pressure from the other groups. Israel even suffered during it's land operations and now both parties agreed a ceasefire.

The US economy relies on large quantities of manufactured products from evil Chyna. Absence of that material, perhaps even significant price hikes, would cause a lot of big problems.

Partially in reference to the John Helmer June 14 article shared above, and those who suddenly "remember" that the US President is a figurehead only, never having any agency to do anything like support another country, or proxy, in a war against an "official enemy", it would be remiss not to point out that in ENTIRELY predictable fashion, MoA's comment pages are filling up with fools who - now that Team Red / MAGA are in office - point this out.

That's right. Those same people who rightly (as in a stopped clock being right 2x a day) spent the last 4 years, and many years from 2008-2021, calling Biden to task for the Ukraine proxy war and the dirty perfidy of his support for "Israel's" genocide in Gaza, suddenly want to remind us "It doesn't matter who the President is!" or "But this stuff was planned under deMOCrATZ!" and "Trump is hELPlESs in his choices!"

It's pathetic. Downright pathetic and vapid. "You can't blame Trump for starting a new war in Iran!!! (but if Biden or a Dim was in office you can be damn sure the bile would be on full display).

The West's main weapon is bribery. They will always have intel advantage when they can print money and buy off locals. This could even explain the limp wristed response of Russia. It's too far for China to do much.

China will focus on the US vassals on their front step: Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Phil, Singapore. Plenty for them to do there.

I suspect that now that Iran is actually fight Israel directly that much of the dissident fervor has evaporated. You think these groups are like magnets or something, but many of them are animated by resentment over NOT confronting Zionists. Not surprisingly the militant bastards are often just game for a fight and here is a righteous one.
The best thing for/way to erode the grip of the Mullahs in Iran would be normalization of relations and trade, and the end of the Zionist occupation

VVP and Russia is a tough nut to decipher. I'm on the fence with his attitude to Zion.

When they were in Syria and Assad was still there, Zion planes had no problem bombing what they wanted in Syria. Russian AD was basically silent. Is this True or false, I have no way to verify other than remembering the odd activity of the Russians back then.

Syrians supposedly had no say over who can or can't be in Syrian air space as it was the Russians who had this control. And it was this control that cut off the Iranians from supplying Hezbollah through Syria.

First, they cover their asses for the dumb masses ( Peskov: "level of unpredictability is absolute" tass.com/politics/1974451 ) but it's exactly the opposite, it's zero. They lie because they're part of it or just the usual Peskov dumb comments?

If Trumpy offered them access to the same resources and routes for a reasonable fee, they won't care who controls Iran, Yemen, Gaza, Syria or any other place erased by Nato since they've defeated Soviets. If he did not offer anything, they will simply not use them, the grapes are sour. I think they are under occupation since then, a simulated opposition because the odds that all Russian presidents naturally say "nato tricked me, sorry" then they do it again are astronomical.
Brics is purely mercantile, under the religion of money. If you pay, you can buy anything from them, they don't care if you bomb them at the same time, which is what half the planet is doing right now with Russia and they like it, want more of that.
Hypersonics are surely for sale at the right price or under the right pressure, like the Yak-141 or the S400. Why waste money on research? Someone will sell it sooner or later.

More broadly, continued attacks on Iran missile launchers, research centers, headquarters etc. with counter-claims of limited effect.

Two f-14s targeted with video were scrap/out of service.

Currently Iran appears to be launching limited salvos of drones, cruise, ballistic. Occupation warning system is late detecting some and giving false alerts. "Psychological bombs" was the phrase used somewhere, i.e. to keep occupation on edge.

High altitude intercepts have occurred, as well as of drones and missiles, but it is not possible to say to what extent as number of launches and those reaching target is not visible.

Gaza appears to be returning to higher activity by occupation, even as troops are withdrawn. There have been more massacres at "aid stations" but there is talk of other food programs being given access in future although this could be said just to mislead.

The diplomatic scene for both Gaza and Iran is uninterpretable.

Momentum seems to be eventual US involvement, however to know US has been satisfied to stand back and only provide support, while Iran has avoided retaliating against US and directly involving it.

This is the message from Huckabee, reverently reposted by DJT:

Mr President, God spared you in Butler, PA to be the most consequential President in a century—maybe ever. The decisions on your shoulders I would not want to be made by anyone else.

You have many voices speaking to you Sir, but there is only ONE voice that matters. HIS voice. I am your appointed servant in this land and am available for you but I do not try to get in your presence often because I trust your instincts. No President in my lifetime has been in a position like yours. Not since Truman in 1945.

I don’t reach out to persuade you. Only to encourage you. I believe you will hear from heaven and that voice is far more important than mine or ANYONE else’s. You sent me to Israel to be your eyes, ears and voice and to make sure our flag flies above our embassy. My job is to be the last one to leave.

I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down! You did not seek this moment. This moment sought YOU! It is my honor to serve you!

God help us.

There has been millennia of non-human activity by the West. If they don't want to change, no problem. Russia and China ,and God, have been watching from a safe distance now that they have the military power to flatten USUKIS, whether USUKIS has any intention of reforming.

If not, sorry, that's the end of Western USUKIS civilisation.

And the beauty of the timing? The political blame can all be pawned off on nutty-Netanyahu not being willing to keep his wick dry. If the Russ abandon their "feet-of-clay" strategy they will not only help themselves but Iran too.

Israel is claiming they have destroyed 1/3rd of Irans missile launchers but I would treat this with some scepticism. Its highly likely Iran has deployed hundreds of decoy missile units and radars all over the country. Saddam did the same in the first Gulf war with his fake scuds. I suspect the actual number of real launchers destroyed is way less than IDF propaganda.

Well I'm just speculating, as the aircraft would have been operating in the same general area, though the timing is a little off, but the what's up with shipping video clearly shows gps being screwed with inside the gulf heavily, and fading as ships exit the gulf. I wouldn't put it past the empire to have a 35B (or a sub for that matter) slowly shadow a tanker at night out in that areas fking with it's gps hoping to make 2 collide, especially one carrying IR oil, and the other bound for CN. Hoping for a spill or sinking or just economic damage. Could also just be a standard cluster fk. If I recall something similar happened like 2-3 years ago but it was like more out in the middle of nowhere in the SCS or pacific with the US destroyer and a tanker, there were accusations of gradual gps data manipulation, but who knows, that might have just been cover for the asleep at switch helm and watch crews - which eventually came out.
