I presume because Iran wasn’t going to go there first for any number of easy to understand reasons, and is likely to resist that temptation till it’s thinks it more an all-or-nothing time, and they have been quite specific and choosy it seems in what’s been targeted up though at least this morning. Besides those plants need power, lots of it, so might as well target that first, they seemed so far to only target one or two of ~10 of power plants and related logistics so far and that seemed to me more a tit-4-tat (for now) than any determined effort to turn out the lights broadly, yet.
Then again due to censorship we increasingly only get scant reporting of what gets through (hence we know what was targeted) vs what’s been intercepted (target largely unknown) vs what wasn’t targeted but gets damaged from interceptors or intercepted munitions still going off\debris).

Just a guess but daytime bombing maximizes civilian casualties and creates terror among the population while waiting until night time when most are not working as Iran does minimizes civilian casualties and shows a morality absent with Israel.

The initial strikes by Isreal were during the night. Furthermore, I’ve seen relatively recent videos of AAA killing some drones in Iran during the night. However, there definitely seems to be a change in how Israel handles the attacks.
I don’t know the answer, but I suspect the following: *apparently* 90% of the hits by Israel in the last day or two are from their agents inside Iran. OTOH, Iran achieves almost all hits by firing from Iran. So, on one hand you have special forces and covert warfare and on the other you have outright military. Iran is really hitting Israel hard and is apparently degrading their actual warfighting capabilites. I speculate that may have something to do with the change in Israel’s fortunes over the last half a week, and may be what’s driving the emerging difference in attack patterns. After all, if there’s a curfew during the night (I don’t know if there is), or if you stick out more during the night, then it would be beneficial for the secret agents to move during the day and try to blend into the crowds.

The actual plant itself, idk, I know there are two major substation near the big refinery complex, no doubt that was likely a target if the refinery was, as for the plant (which is on the shore and also next to some tank farms among other thing) well, there were reports it (or something extremely close to it, maybe the switching yard out front?) received an impact, and then with-in hours nobody allowed to report anymore about damage from the city.

I disagree with this. Go back to the 1980’s and Iran all but closed the straits by mining it. They don’t need a fleet to do that. At that time there wasn’t for the most part a shooting war and it was fairly easily swept. This time there is a shooting war and it will not be easy to sweep it and hard to stop a small boat from making a quick trip out from the shore from dropping a mine or two into the Straits.
