When he threw bombs at Iran last Saturday, I went off on Trump, too. One reason was because I believed Trump when he publicly expressed what to me was a sincere and inherent dislike for the useless deaths caused in the Ukrainian war. Bombing Iran, I felt strongly he went back on that promise. Until I learned he did not inflict any casualties. And, I think he could have.
I think he went into this Iran thing with the idea that he would not lay a finger on anyone. And that’s what he told his military. In the past, there was no way the military could reasonably comply with that order. However, last Saturday, they could and did. And they were able to do that for the simple reason the Iranians were not able to see the delivery vehicles.

Israel is building a tunnel to cut off Palestinians from the heart of the West Bank
Israel is constructing tunnels that Palestinians will be required to pass through in the heart of the West Bank, making large parts of the occupied territory accessible only to Israelis. The aim is to remove the Palestinian presence around Jerusalem.
One underground tunnel will soon be the only connection between 1.5 million Palestinians in the southern West Bank and the rest of the territory. This recently approved infrastructure plan, dubbed the “Fabric of Life” project, would effectively split the West Bank into two.

And a personal note – why hasn’t Iran said anything about Gaza and the Palestinians? It’s at the heart of the issue, seems to me. They could have insisted it be part of any cease-fire deal. Okay, to be fair, the Trump ‘cease-fire’ is just a tweet, but still….bring it up over and over and keep bombing until the demand is addressed.
Israel is not allowing any photos of Israel after being bombed. If they did, we’d surely see why they wanted a cease-fire.

One can only hope. I am concerned, however, by how quickly the media (in the US) began drooling over even the hint of a new war to jibber-jabber about, without any evidence of even minimal thought put into it. I do hope the public is a bit more circumspect and aware than the media takes them to be.
Lots of idiots around and so many of them are actually running countries now. Frightful that more people don’t see how deranged and stupid this period of history is.
