Recycling Old News Media Push For More War In Ukraine

Yesterday, during a lengthy interview, the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz mention the lifting of restrictions on western weapons used by Ukraine.

Media took that as a new revelation:

> German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced on Monday that Germany, along with France, the UK and the US, had lifted restrictions on the range of weapons they are sending to Ukraine to help in the fight against Russia.

"There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons delivered to Ukraine — neither by the British nor by the French nor by us nor by the Americans," he said at the WDR Europaforum 2025 at the re:publica digital conference in Berlin. <

Some media even claimed that Merz had cleared the path for the delivery of German Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine:

Germany and its key allies have lifted range restrictions on weapons sent to Ukraine allowing Kyiv to hit targets inside Russia with no external limits, Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Monday.

That announcement by the German leader could clear the path for Berlin to finally deliver its powerful Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv, something that the previous government refused to do so as not to provoke nuclear-armed Russia.

I was astonished seeing this. There had been nothing new in Merz' announcement.

President Joe Biden had lifted all restrictions on U.S. delivered weapons many months ago:

Britain had even been earlier:

France, also many moths ago, had likewise been open to this.

Moreover Ukraine has long run out of western donated long range weapons:

The green light to fire long-range missiles at Russia means little if "our cupboard is totally empty," added Ivan Stupak, a former officer with Ukraine's SBU security service."

The last ATACMS strike on Russian targets has happened many months ago. The last interdiction of an ATMCMS strike by Russia was reported on January 17. Strikes with British Storm Shadow or French Scalp missiles have likewise vanished.

There was thereby nothing new in Merz' talk. He had not even mentioned Taurus missiles which will NOT be delivered to Ukraine for several good reasons:

  • Taurus contains components which are under U.S. export restrictions. The U.S. would have to green light a delivery of those.
  • Taurus is air launched. Ukraine does not have the means, i.e. the right airplanes, to launch Taurus from high attitudes.
  • Taurus requires other German systems, and, most crucial, German specialists to be targeted and used.

Merz was clearly surprised that his mentioning of the release of restrictions, which had happened months ago, was suddenly presented as a new development or policy change. Today the chancellor was pushed to clarify it:

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that the decision to lift restrictions on the range of weapons supplied to Kiev was made several months ago, RIA Novosti reported.

"As far as I know, and I repeated it yesterday, the countries that imposed range restrictions have long since abandoned these conditions. Therefore, yesterday in Berlin I described what happened several months ago, namely that Ukraine has the right to use the weapons it receives, including outside its borders, against military targets on Russian territory," Merz said at a joint press conference with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.

The media who carried yesterday's sensational headline have yet to wake up to this. I doubt that they even want to do so. They will most likely ignored Merz' clarification.

There is an unmissable war-frenzy in the media. Even the tiniest side remark by Trump, Merz or someone else is immediately explained as a war escalation.

The journalists writing those headlines, and the bloggers repeating them, seem eager to push for it.

Who told them to do so?

Yeah, well, I still can’t find any technical confirmation that Taurus is nuclear-compatible.
But it could well turn out that the point is moot anyway; say a theoretically nuclear-tipped Taurus is intercepted and destroyed over Ukraine, we end up with all that warhead material dispersed over land that Blackrock (allegedly) has a financial claim on.
So all that prime farmland/development land is now low-level contaminated waste…

At this point in the conversation, B might do well to remember that average IQs for journalists are not especially high.
According to BRGHT.com, the average IQ of journalists (among others) who took its IQ test is 102.97. As occupations with job titles go, journalism ranked 152 out of a list of 575 occupations / job titles. An IQ of 102 – 103 is just … average.
There is an old (2017) study, done in partnership with the London Press Club, that purported to have found that journalists’ brains show a lower-than-average level of executive functioning, meaning that journalists as a group are poor at activities like planning, organising, prioritising, adapting to new situations and resisting impulses and distractions. The study attributed this poor performance to over-consumption of alcohol, caffeine and products high in sugar, and not drinking enough water, in a highly stressful environment. However, journalists’ beliefs that the importance and value of the work they were doing compensated for working under stress and other issues such as low pay and low job security.
Journalists’ brains operate at below average due to excessive booze and caffeine: study
It may very well be that current journalism is even more stressful and insecure than it was back in 2017 when the study was done, and those journalists who work for MSM outlets are either deluded about the importance of the work they do or over-estimate its value to the general public.

The German statements are pretty obvious – they are PR and serve scaremongering the public so that there is no energy, no hope to gather and organize against the rearmament program and the policy elite’s conduct hostile to the population.
While the public freezes in fear of war Merz and his merry men and women rip off this nation.
It’s diversionary tactics. Simple as that.
Real war would only ruin this plan.
Which is why the peace movement in its alarmism – naturally they see this as their role – is so counterproductive in efficiently change things.
Instead they should call out Merz and the entire government as liars and state why.
But they too take the possibility of a Russian attack as real even if they point out that Russia doesn’t want it.
It would make more sense to question the narrative as such and demand evidence for what the government claims.
As long as the structure of lies is not revealed to the public opposing war will only remain a moral blame game which won’t convince enough people. Their fears are deeper than their willingness to accept negotiations.
The real issue is NATO’s war lies. Not how to handle that war!
Oppose the root cause. Not the symptoms.

Taurus should be a highly effective weapon, due to an advanced fusing system designed to target composite structures (bridges, subterranean bunkers etc) with a very heavy warhead and has been designed to be able to survive in integrated AD environments, especially v’s Russian systems (S-400 and Pantsir) using stealth technology and advanced terrain following with midcourse corrective capability.
I say should because it’s never been deployed in combat, though similar Western weapons have a good track record of having little disparity between their test performances and actual combat, and sometimes exceeding expectations, as regards accuracy and reliability.
The real problem for the German government is that this is the only LR strike system they posses and it’s expected to be operational for another 30+ years with only a planned upgrade to its navigation and guidance systems, so what happens if the Russians recover some key components (Mephisto fusing, nav systems), or worse a whole missile and start reverse engineering.
Germany, in either of these cases, would then have seriously downgraded their capabilities in return for still seeing Ukraine defeated, whilst possibly indirectly boosting Russian strike capabilities. A pretty crappy risk reward ratio, which ever way you look at it.

Posted by: Milites | May 27 2025 22:46 utc | 114

Even if Russia knows 100% that the German-supplied Taurus missiles do not in fact have nuclear tips, they may nonetheless press the case before the UN that based on documented info (see my citation) that the Taurus missiles *may* in fact be tricked out @ some point w/ nuclear warheads in order to argue that, “Hey, look–Germany is seriously undermining the ongoing peace negotiations into which the U.S. has poured so much time & attention.”
This provides an important rhetorical talking point.

The British-American private military company Group 4 Securitas (G4S) has evolved far beyond its original mission of providing security for Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
Today, it resembles a quasi-state, complete with its own armed forces, prison systems, and global reach.
G4S secures US embassies around the world, guards airports, government agencies, and military installations for both Washington and London, and even monitors sections of the US border.

Chosen Company is shutting down operations and moving towards separation from the Ukrainian military.
Official statement will be released once I’m off contract and can fully speak freely without violating Ukrainian military law/statutes. It’s been a good 39 month run.
~~~
Some background from a comment section:
In the first alleged incident dated August 2023, a severely injured, unarmed Russian soldier was crawling through a trench and begging for help in a mix of broken English and Russian.
The Russian was then allegedly shot in the chest by a member of Chosen Company. When the Russian soldier continued to move and breathe, another fighter shot him in the head.
In the second incident, a Chosen member lobbed a grenade at and killed a Russian soldier who allegedly had his hands raised.
Video evidence of the incident was reviewed by the New York Times.
In the third incident, Chosen members boasted in a group chat about killing Russian prisoners of war during a mission in October, text messages show.
A soldier who was briefly in command that day alluded to the killings using a slang word for shooting. He said he would take responsibility. “If anything comes out about alleged POW blamming, I ordered it,” wrote the soldier, who goes by the call sign Andok.
He added an image of a Croatian war criminal who died in 2017 after drinking poison during a tribunal at The Hague and added the message “At the Hague ‘I regret nothing!’” under the image.
The New York Times reported that this it was “one of several text messages” that make reference, directly or obliquely, to killing prisoners.
Gen Kellogg hurried to Fox News to let them know that Ukraine has handed him their Peace Memorandum but Russia has not quite yet.
Tapping his toe, as if waiting for Medinsky or Lavrov to turn in their homework, Gen Kellogg predicts that the next round of talks will happen in Geneva.
Why Geneva-?
Unknown, except for the fact that Geneva is *not* the Vatican, which Moscow found unsuitable.
Still, Geneva-?
Peace talks in no-longer neutral Switzerland-?
Turkeye’s Foreign Minister was in Moscow today, stating that Istanbul is definitely still an option for the next round of talks. So why not-?
The final meeting should take place in Hero City Sevastopol, where DJT will facilitate Ukraine’s capitulation to Russia.
Team members who care about DJT's success know that *somebody* tried to take him out twice. It is tough to imagine they would want him to take a question like the one *innocently* posed to him on Sunday about the assassination attempt on VVP as DJT was coming off many hours of golf. What I'm suggesting is that *they*---the members of DJT's team who know how the other side is playing for keeps---would seek to protect him by informing him *before* he stands for unfiltered Q & A. Now whether DJT is the kind of stallion on which you can place a bridle is another matter... If not, then that is the raw material w/ which they must contend.
I don’t know about other people’s views on this but it seems to me that hairy chested rhetoric from NATOSTAN is proportional to the latitudinal distance from Ukraine. Slovakia is supportive of Russia, so is Hungary, so is and Serbia. Transnistria has been so since the beginning of the SMO. Even Poland waxes and wanes in its support for Ukraine. Yet the most bravado and belligerent talk always comes from Britain, France, Germany and the US, apart from Kallas who is another willing servant.
Merz appears to be another puppet which the Germans have been duped into taking on as a leader, he is another aggressive fool that appears willing to do the US’s dirty work as he rides his country towards economic and perhaps bellicose disaster. It seems that whatever people vote for in the West, another puppet just pops up like the snake heads of the Medusa.
I don’t accept that Trump ever wanted peace nor his government. I think he is pretending to be in discord with NATO but actually is still carrying on the same old same old US policy against Russia and US-Euro Zionist support for Israel. He likes to play both sides of the coin to confuse everyone, that is all, and he gets maximum attention out of functioning this way. It’s like getting a ride on both sides of the seesaw all at once. It’s to keep everybody guessing and classic ‘don’t let the right hand know what the left hand is doing’. US imperialistic and hegemonic policy continues on, nothing has changed only the pantomime. The US puppets are all still in place in NATOSTAN no matter what Trump and his administration says. He’s also been playing both sides of the coin with Russia and Zelensky, and now you can see his reaction in suddenly calling Putin “Crazy” as Russia disregards his fig leaf of a pathetic fake peace process and acts with its own volition and continued lack of trust for anything the US or Ukraine says. The gloves are off and the illusion is gone.
Situational awareness.
Members of DJT’s team comprehend the way Regime Media have pitched in w/ the neocon Europeans to force DJT into going hardcore on VVP. So they know what kind of questions are *innocently* going to come up during these unscripted tarmac-caliber Q & A.
Unforced errors don’t help at times like this.
It’s reminiscent of how Sir Keir and Macron Dior tried over a 2-week period to manipulate DJT into saying that the U.S. would backstop Reassurance Forces in Ukraine, which he deftly never did.
If he’s taken the gloves off then why hasn’t Russia pushed Ukrainian forces out of the Donbas after 3 years and 3 months? And why is Russia still stuck fighting on its own borders and subject to drone swarms?
Ukraine and its backers haven’t been deterred by what they’ve seen so far from Russia. In fact, Russia’s subdued war is encouraging its enemies to gear up for more.
Simply because it is a SMO and become a war of attrition designed not to trigger Article 5 for a start. Why risk Russian lives when Ukrainians have been throwing themselves onto the fly paper? Ukrainians still don’t understand cauldrons and encirclements, they get pincered every time. Also Putin has actually been very surgical in sparing Ukrainian civilian lives if you don’t believe the NATOSTAN garbage about genocide which you probably do, or the nonsense about the tally of Russian casualties put forth by the US and European gaslighting media clowns like those at the WP. Simple things you could understand yourself if you have been following the war every day and have noticed how much more of Ukraine has been taken increment by increment. Russia could clout a lot harder and could have if it had wanted to all along, it has far more powerful weapons at its disposal. Putin has given Trump a chance since Biden was defeated, but I think he now knows Trump is a waffle maker playing games, and principally only interested in appearing before cameras. What we saw a few nights ago in Kiev and throughout Ukraine is simply a sign of things to come. If I was Zelensky I would be watching my back, but on the other hand I think Putin may wish to take him alive.
BTW: Where is your evidence that Ukraine is actually winning or gaining ground? = 0
If you want to debate or criticise anything you have to explain why you think you are correct, as I have, otherwise you are just making a meaningless statement out of wanting to be righteous.
Why hasn’t Oreshnik been sent to Berlin, Paris, or Whitehall?
The Russians are successfully de-militarizing NATO, that’s why. It’s not over until the Russians can remove NATO’s ability to follow up with a ground invasion. And it is coming, the US is tapped out, and Europe cannot make weaponry for modern warfare.
You’re making an Anonymous argument. You’re not arguing that the West will win, but rather that Russia isn’t winning fast enough.
I said it last year and I will repeat it again. This war has been over for some time now. The endgame is up to NATO. How long do they want to pile in the last of their military stores and every last Ukrainian? That’s ok because Russia is perfecting its EWAR game and killing while preserving manpower. No one believes that Ukraine can recover any of its lost territory.
I love this. Killing 2 birds with one stone, destroying Europe militarily and financially, while being China’s Western firewall. Halting any chance of an American assault ANYWHERE.
Well, the ZIONISTS of course. And they run the Trump Admin, just as they did Biden.
War and death is profit for the MIC.
I think the bigger question is, are the Zionists so high on their imperial delusions that they believe they and NATO could win a war on Russia? Because we all know they cannot.
MSM are war pigs and have been cheering for more war for over 25 years now (if not longer).
Posted by: Kay | May 28 2025 4:43 utc | 154
The thing to note is Ukraine has no aircraft capable of launching Taurus missiles.
Trump’s increasingly absurd comments about Russia is either for local consumption or appeasement of the various factions pulling his string.
As Will Schryver posted on X “Americans will damn well put up with it for the simple reason they can’t do anything about it anyway.”
That sums it up quite nicely.
And more:
Putin is an extraordinary leader. I wonder whether you could keep up the workload he clearly is capable of handling. His country has been involved in Ukraine, at the behest of those pro-Russian Ukrainians in Donbas and other pro-Russian regions who’ve been getting targeted by artillery since 2014. He has been active in staving off the impact of thousands of sanctions and tariffs. He is active and a leader in BRICS and the SCO. He has been active in meetings and support for Iran against the Israelis (luckily someone is). He has developed excellent relations with Xi Jinping and China. He has prepared his country to be a well capable and technologically superior military-industrialised power and seen all of this coming since he could not trust anything NATO or Ukraine or the US said. He has been active in solving Russia’s economic threats and finding many new markets for Russian raw material and products. If you think the US would sit by and watch itself be encircled by potentially hostile member states as Russia has been by NATO then think again: all hell would break loose. At his age I think he is a remarkable leader, so are many in his entourage. This is how much this man has had to do, and I see few leaders in this world as capable as he is, or as centred on his country’s survival.
Compare that to the overweight orange man who seems above all to be only good at ad hominem and appearing in front of cameras to spread kudos about how good he is himself yet achieves very little.
“You want decommunization? Well, that suits us just fine. But there is no need, as they say, to stop halfway. We are ready to show you what real decommunization means for Ukraine.”
(“Вы хотите декоммунизацию? Ну что же, нас это вполне устраивает. Но не нужно, что называется, останавливаться на полпути. Мы готовы показать вам, что значит для Украины настоящая декоммунизация”.)
http://kremlin.ru/events/president/news/67828
May 27, 2025, the same Mr. Pootin:
“It wasn’t us who organized the coup in Ukraine… We were told all the time that we needed elections, democracy. They carried out the coup – and that’s it, as if that’s how it should be. A bloody one at that… They just forced us to do what we are doing now. And they are trying to make us guilty of it.”
(“Не мы же организовали госпереворот на Украине… Нам все время говорили, что нужны выборы, демократия. Госпереворот совершили — и все, как будто так и надо. Кровавый причем… Просто вынудили нас делать то, что мы сейчас делаем. И пытаются сделать нас виноватыми в этом”.)
NUCLEAR ARMED COWS!!
Lots of unnecessary blather about the nuclear capability of Taurus.
Taurus, Storm Shadow/Scalp were all designed in the 1990’s and although the Cold War had (apparently) ended, and nuke use was on the “back burner” the designers would have been remiss to not make provision of nuclear warheads in any of these cruise missiles.
Circumstances and contingencies change all the time, so provision of compatibility with nuclear warheads seems a “no brainer” IMO.
By the same token, the RF cannot discount the possibility that these missiles could be nuclear armed, and prudent planners in the RF would undoubtedly take this into consideration.
Now I am not suggesting UK, France or Germany actually provide these weapons with installed nuclear warheads, they would have to be fitted after delivery-presumably in Ukraine-. This raises further questions (1) which nation could provide the nukes?, and (2), where would the retrofit work be performed?
I will speculate that Yurezmesh was a good candidate for the conversion work, and would not discount the role of the “small hat” people alluded to by : Hoarsewhisperer | May 27 2025 17:42 utc | 45 as possible provider of the nukes.[But I would discount PRC, North Korea, Parkistan and (probably) India].
Whatever, what really was going on in Yurezmech was significant enough for the RF to eliminate any threat by demonstrating Orishnick and by obliterating the place. Sends a potent message as well.
Just putting these musings out there.
The inconsistent thing about Merz is that on the one hand he wants to make Germany the “strongest military power in Europe” with gigantic debt so that it can wage war against Russia “in 5 years” – but at the same time he is doing everything to ensure that the war starts NOW, for which Germany is far too weak, since no debt would be necessary otherwise.
Why are the Ukrainian Armed Forces abandoning the positions they used to fight for to the end…First, the news from the feed. Today, news came that the enemy has been cleared in the northern part of Volchansk (map 2). Thus, the ruins of the northern part of the city, for which a year ago there were battles for literally every building, which often changed hands many times, somehow ended in a mundane and quiet manner. I also want to remind you how, also somehow without much noise, the enemy actually surrendered to us the western bank of the Oskol River north of Kupyansk, where today, also somehow in a mundane and without much fighting, our units occupied the village of Stroyevka (map 3). It is much easier for us to advance in the Liman direction today. And not only there. Moreover, if you carefully read what Ukrainian near-military bloggers write about this, everything is as if from a carbon copy – the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a catastrophic shortage of personnel in these SECONDARY areas, which leads to a rapid surrender of positions (often literally to a couple of dozen Russian soldiers).
etc etc – all good. However:
t.me/llordofwar/453633
“Heavy positional battles continue in the Chasov Yar direction. There have been no key changes on the front line. The situation remains extremely tense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are resisting in each of the areas.”
Chasov Yar is the Bakhmut of today – it’s only six miles from there, took two years of fighting, and opens the way to a fairly large area of Donetsk still in Ukrainian hands, inclusding the cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. When that goes things will really look up for Russia. Has to be said the defence has been quite an epic.
Russia Displays Captured NATO Weapons to China’s Chen Wenqing at Security Forum in Moscow | APT 28 May 5min view
§…Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu and Chen Wenqing, a senior member of the Communist Party of China’s Politburo, visited a Moscow exhibition showcasing Western weapons captured during the Ukraine conflict. The display featured front-line ammunition and multimedia stands with archival footage, hosted at the ‘Russia’ National Centre as part of the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues.
Shoigu remarked that 53 countries are supplying arms to Ukraine and noted that this is only a fraction of what has been captured on the battlefield.
He added that the full collection of seized foreign weaponry would be presented at the upcoming Army-2025 forum in August.
The annual international security conference in Moscow brings together representatives from over 150 nations, including members of BRICS, the SCO, CIS, CSTO, and other global alliances, to discuss shared security challenges and cooperation frameworks.
Justin watched a yt of the Russians finding a large weapons cache in Kupyansk. Surrender might be a result…. No ammo, no troops,
No link as it’s not showing in my history and I didn’t think it was worth posting here when I first viewed it.
Basically…. Russia found a large cache of western weapons when they took part of Kupyansk….
Given Ukrainian supply lines are under pressure.. losing this large stockpile of mostly new weapons is a set back.
Once again the attrition factor favours Russia.
Ukraine now has to beg for more weapons, and then get them from the EUUS then across the country.
Berletic explained the stress and strain on western/Ukrainian supply lines waaaaay back in early 2022.
“..Vladimir Putin has already anticipated our reversal. According to him, the European Union’s unilateral coercive measures will not last. We will eventually return to our former loves, when we celebrated Franco-Russian friendship. This is why he is holding back his army, whose military superiority would have allowed him to capture Odessa long ago and thus complete the reconstruction of the old Russia.
This is what’s at stake now. Territorial boundaries matter little compared to relationships between people.”
“Merz was clearly surprised that his mentioning of the release of restrictions, which had happened months ago, was suddenly presented as a new development or policy change. Today the chancellor was pushed to clarify it: …”
Years ago, when Angela Merkel was still chancellor, someone (I think it was Ray McGovern of VIPS) warned her in an open letter of the forces that were driving the world towards another large war – and that Germany would be cast as culprit once more. I don’t know what she made of that warning. But it is obvious that Friedrich Merz did not get the warning – or that he did, but didn’t understand it.
When Merz left politics to work for BlackRock, many people opined that Merkel had gotten rid of yet another rival. Looking at recent developments, maybe she just realized how dangerous Merz is for Germany. She just failed to neutralize this threat for good.
Germany’s military has 203,000 posts, but only around 182,000 are currently filled.
The ammunition in stock is supposed to last for 20 days, but the stock is more likely to be enough for two days.
As far as I know, none of the navy ships are fully ammunitioned, although German ships are normally only planned with just enough VLS cells.
Germany has virtually no reserve as the necessary bookkeeping / bureaucracy has been abolished since 2010.
The Ukrainian delegation was given a cold reception at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Yehor Chernev said.
Ambiguous feelings from the NATO PA session in Dayton, USA, where our delegation is finishing its work. This is the first time I have encountered this in the last three years … they tried to shift the focus of this session from the current problems of the ongoing war in the center of Europe to the historical events of 30 years ago … Plus, our delegation had a meeting with the American delegation, which was not as warm as usual,” Chernev said on social media on Tuesday.
The New York Times reported on Monday, citing European officials and diplomats, that NATO’s June summit in The Hague may not feature a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, interrupting its two-year run in favor of allied unity. It reportedly remains unclear whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be invited to the main opening dinner, although he may attend a parallel NATO defense industry forum.
Since I’m a reservist myself…
Of the 100,000 reservists mentioned, approximately 65 to 75% are well over 50, and of those, at least 20% aren’t even fit for duty, AND ALL of them are long out of date with technology.
And when I see the “active” soldiers streaming out of the barracks EVERY Friday from 3 p.m., well, I can’t imagine ANY of them surviving in the mud at around zero degrees, without any cover from drones, without two hot meals and at least three warm showers a week.
Incidentally, ALL former NVA members of the former GDR army NEVER became reservists.
And during my basic military service, the first leave (there were never three more days) was after 16 weeks in the barracks.
During the maneuvers in Hungary, the first shower after about four weeks, the first hot meal that could be described as such after about seven weeks in a permanent tent camp.
We spent the night in October-November, lasting a total of four weeks, sleeping in the forest with the famous one-line-no-line tarpaulin that everyone had to carry…and if you were caught unshaven…no matter what you shaved with, the beard had to be cut off.
That’s just a reference to Bundeswehr reservists in contrast to NVA training according to Russian standards.
Conclusion
Nothing compares to Russian training…in terms of basic training and, importantly, their patriotism, which has been successfully removed from the Germans.
In every country in the world, being a patriot or being called one is an honor.
Calling yourself a patriot in Germany immediately means…the public brands you a Nazi…find the flaw in the Germans’ supposed willingness to fight…that was once upon a time.
.
I’ll never understand why politicians like Merz can believe that young Germans will die against Russia with applause for THEM.
In what parallel world do they live?
Germany’s Russia-obsessed remilitarization strategy has hit a snag after the Bundeswehr realized that the government no longer knows where NEARLY A MILLION potential reservists are.Reservist Association chairman Patrick Sensburg says when Germany suspended conscription in 2011, it also stopped keeping tabs on ex-conscripts.
German Armed Forces chief Carsten Breuer says the Bundeswehr needs about 260,000 reservists to call on for homeland defense or ‘backup elsewhere when frontline troops are killed or wounded’. That’s well over 400% more than the 60,000 available today.
Thanks for your posting.
I recently read an article in which it was mentioned that if the Bundeswehr doesn‘t get enough voluntary recruits they might re-start with conscriptions (2026 onwards). If I remember correctly, it came from the warmonger Pistorius.
How do you see the chances of that becoming the new reality in Germany?
B: The journalists writing those headlines, and the bloggers repeating them, seem eager to push for it.
Who told them to do so?
Parmi tous les sujets “critiques” qui passent ou trépassent.. Veuillez noter le surgissement du concept du “TYCHOS SPACE”, The TYCHOS ; topos du séisme anthropologique en cours qui affecte notre représentation du système stellaire dans lequel nous évoluons.. Assez mal ! Il est temps de s’en emparer et simultanément de mettre en défaut les simagrées scientistes pliés aux désidérata du faux temple monnaie-théiste. Almost every day now there are videos with man-catchers in various Ukr cities. It probably makes sense, they (Kiev Junta) really want to get rid of any people that are even remotely sympathetic to Russia or won’t cause any problems in the future.
To be honest, that’s the biggest mystery of this war. Cities with had or still have Ru speaking population don’t fight back almost at all. So they are fine with getting slowly but surely meat grinder-ed.
Maybe indeed there is a significant part of RU speaking people that are mentally deficient and perhaps not worth saving after all. You can also see the large number of so-called “scams” that trick “gullible” Russians inside Russia to commit various random terrorist attacks. RU TG is full of these.
Kellogg didn’t mention […] that while Russia doesn’t like the plan the US wholeheartedly loves every single one of the 22 points since they wrote them for their own benefit 😛
Polish Government plane still looping round Rzezsow, about to be joined by an anonymous Gulfstream G280 from Dubai.
Maybe the Polish plane has (or had) an issue which they’re checking on. It’s now back on the tarmac not too far from the G280.
Anyone got any ideas what would bring both a Polish Government plane and the Air Ambulance (in reality a flying hospital) to Rzsezow this morning?
Ukraine is now paying the price for Zelensky’s ill-advised Kursk adventure, which ended in total failure.
According to Dima, the 12th Azov brigade and many other units had to be hastily redeployed to the Pokrovsk front to plug huge gaps from a collapse.
Now the Sumy and Kharkhiv directions are no longer covered as the units that were there are no longer able to defend.
