Netanyahu continues to bomb all of Gaza and allow more settlers into the West Bank, killing and displacing tens of thousands there. He and his ministers make no bones about the fact that they intend to ethnically cleanse all of Gaza and baldly state that there will be no ceasefire. The people of Gaza must leave if they want to live, they say.
Trump has continued to send weapons and money and logistical aid to Israel and while he says, ‘gosh, the poor Palestinians live in hell’, he does not force Israel to stop the slaughter. Which he could do in a heartbeat, just as Biden could have done. He doesn’t even mention who is causing this hell for the Palestinians.
I think that Trump wants all the monies from selling arms to places like Saudi Arabia and the UAE and hopes in the meantime that Netanyahu will finish the massacre in Gaza. Trump has been clear he wants Gaza for Israel and the US – lots of oil off that shore line.
Trump met with Jolani and agreed to take away the sanctions on Syria; Trump would never do that without getting something in return. Maybe he traded those sanctions on Syria for Jolani taking the Palestinians that may be left in Gaza? (If Jolani kills them all once they are in Syria, ya think Trump would care? No, he and Netanyahu would just blame Jolani for the final genocide.)
I will never believe Trump gives a shit about the Palestinians. He just wants the whole thing disappeared, one way or another, so he can say he “ended” a war.

I’ve been following the stupid comments made by the hasbara trolls on public forums, some cheering and defending acts as atrocious as bombing hospitals full of kids.
I couldn’t help noticing how dumb the counter-arguments and responses of the Muslim community are.
The quality of Muslim responses should be flawless, considering the entire Logic, Law and Morality of the situation is on their side.
Yet their arguments are as retarded, or more so than the imbecilic hasbara.
Then realization hits me:
Muslims don’t operate on Logic.
The Quran and Faith provide the basis for rationality.
That’s why every argument they make will be rooted in nonsense.
They are unable to separate Faith and the Quran from Reason and Logic.
That’s why the Jews have bamboozled them so thoroughly they have no hope of returning to clarity.
Disarmed on the battlefield.
Disarmed on the mind-field.
Substituting suffering for spirituality.
Bereft of everything but faith in the Sky Fairy.
Tragic. For in my book, if your logic is corrupt, then your faith, morals and everything else is corrupt.

Hamza Yusuf @Hamza_a96
The Guardian has consistently whitewashed, diluted and under-reported Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
It’s no different to the rest of the fundamentally broken mainstream media.
Time to stop pretending otherwise.
My latest analysis for @The_NewArab
https://www.newarab.com/opinion/guardians-gaza-line-atrocious-rest-uk-press
The Guardian’s Gaza line is as atrocious as the rest of UK press
Let’s stop pretending The Guardian ever stood with Palestinians. 18 months into Israel’s genocide, the paper’s indifference is deafening, says Hamza Yusuf
….A range of practices — including, but not limited to, distorted headlines shaped by passive voice, the omission of critical context, the deliberate thinning out of information, and the overt sanitisation of war crimes — have become routine, particularly across British broadcast and press coverage.
Hind Rajab’s brutal killing — the result of 335 Israeli tank-fired bullets — was reduced by the BBC to the passive headline: “Hind Rajab found dead”. Sky News described the grim massacre of medical workers as an “alleged killing”. The Times made no secret of the hierarchy of human life, reporting: “Israelis marked a month since Hamas killed 1,400 people and kidnapped 240, starting a war in which 10,300 Palestinians are said to have died.”……
…..When the growing calls in Israeli society for Palestinian land theft and ethnic cleansing in Gaza were discussed in a Guardian podcast in November 2024, it was reduced simply to settlers “preparing to move” to Gaza, whilst in the brief description, the ongoing forcible dispossession was described as Palestinians ‘fleeing’……
…..When Israel cut off medical supplies from entering Gaza in March, weeks before imposing another crippling illegal blockade and withholding fuel, water and food, the Guardian characterised it as Israel seeking to “change the ceasefire deal”. A crime against humanity and an act of collective punishment, as condemned by the UN, was misleadingly presented as a negotiation tactic and a military strategy, as though it were a legitimate act.
Absent from the article was any mention that this amounted to a violation of international law, ordered by a prime minister with an arrest warrant for enabling precisely such crimes. The term ‘war crime’ was only presented as an accusation from Hamas, thereby reducing a clear-cut fact to a deniable allegation from an adversary……

Brother Bungle, IMO, you are making the classic mistake of judging a culture by the values and standards of a different culture.
Muslims, generally speaking, don’t operate on materialist norms.
If one believes absolutely in God, then none of this stuff we obsess over between humans matters very much.
The only logic for a believer is to try to perfect one’s worship and behavior in the limited time they have.
It’s not to “win”. This realm/plane is temporary. Money doesn’t matter. War doesn’t matter.
It’s all been predestined. We’re judged on how we respond to the circumstances we face.
Now, let’s say one doesn’t believe.
Ok.
I couldn’t do that. I’d lose it if the likely best outcome for life is meaningless oblivion.

Western media can be held legally accountable for its role in the Gaza genocide
Western media companies have made themselves a part of the mechanism of genocide in Palestine, and there are historical precedents for holding them accountable.
By Craig Mokhiber August 24, 2024
The ruthlessness of the Israeli genocide machine in Palestine, and the direct complicity of the U.S., UK, and other Western governments are two key pillars in the horrors being perpetrated against the Palestinian people (and in the attacks on human rights defenders around the globe).
But there is an essential third pillar: the role of complicit Western media corporations knowingly disseminating Israeli disinformation and propaganda, justifying war crimes and crimes against humanity, dehumanizing Palestinians, and blacking out information on the genocide in the West. From the perspective of international human rights law, such actions could and should be subject to sanctions. And there are historical precedents.
Seventy-six years ago, when delegates gathered at the newly established United Nations to draft a Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the importance of protecting freedom of expression was front and center. They would declare that “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”

“It’s all been predestined. We’re judged on how we respond to the circumstances we face.”
Logic says that if you are able to choose how to respond, then there is no predestiny.
You could say the appearance of choice and the resulting decision are also pre-ordained, I suppose. In that case judgement (inc. punishment) would seem unfair or unnecessary.
You might also say logic and reason are only one plane of reality and exist, even as a contradiction, to other one’s. You will have difficulty forming a coherent argument without them though, having to rely instead on sentiment or similar as explanation for understanding.

‘Shameful, unacceptable, inhumane’ – Macron blasts Israel’s Gaza policy, considers ‘revisiting’ EU-Israel cooperation
French President Emmanuel Macron slammed Netanyahu’s Gaza policy as “unacceptable” and “shameful,” saying, “There is no water, no medicine, the wounded cannot get out, the doctors cannot get in.”
He called the crisis “an unacceptable humanitarian tragedy,” and said he “got angry” in talks with Netanyahu, but noted Israel “depends on American weapons, not us.”
Macron revealed he visited the Egypt-Gaza border and personally witnessed that “all the aid that France and other countries deliver is blocked by the Israelis.”
“We need the United States. President Trump has the levers,” he said, emphasizing that only Washington can apply decisive pressure on Israel.
While stopping short of calling it genocide, Macron stated, “It is not up to a president of the republic to say ‘this is a genocide,’ but rather to historians.”
He urged Europeans to consider increasing pressure and sanctions, and raised the idea of revisiting EU–Israel cooperation agreements, which currently allow duty-free Israeli exports.

You could say the appearance of choice and the resulting decision are also pre-ordained, I suppose.

You could, but it doesn’t change anything as long as you don’t know about your own future actions. While simply assuming a plan exists somewhere out there is a classic case for Ockham’s Razor.
Naturalism (aka deterministic materialism) has tried to prove (in fact it was simply claimed) that the plan exists, while it may remain partly unreadable. This approach is by now clearly refuted with strong arguments from maths, logic and physics, as well as correct basic epistemology.
Claiming a willed plan exists but is unreadable forces an assumption about the willing entity, usually called God. Hence LoveD is fair to name his position a belief.

BREAKING: Israeli Forces Kill 12-Year-Old Eyewitness to Rafah Paramedic Massacre
Mohammed Bardawil, 12, was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the Mawasi area of Gaza this week. He was one of the only four surviving eyewitnesses to the Israeli military’s execution of 15 paramedics, rescue workers, and UN staff in Rafah in March 2024.
Mohammed had testified that some of the paramedics were shot at point-blank range—“from one meter away.” He was also interviewed by The New York Times for their investigation into the massacre, though his most damning claims were omitted from their final report.
He and his father, Saeed Bardawil, were abducted by Israeli officer Major Nikolai Ashurov and his unit during the killings. The two were later forced to assist in the forced evacuation of Tal al-Sultan. The Israeli military later cited their survival as “proof” that civilians were not deliberately targeted—while failing to mention that they were spared for operational purposes.
Mohammed had been scheduled for a second round of testimony with investigators, this time with pediatric psychologists present.
Instead, the 12-year old war crime witness was killed by Israeli forces.

The Qur’an says that the people of full understanding know that this world was not created for no purpose. The purpose is to test humans by good and bad in order to reward their actions instead of tbeir words.
A Muslim believes in God’s word. Tou shalt not kill, covet or commit adultery. That’s the Jewish Law, but in defiance of God’s Commands, and in front of the entire world , the Jews kill, covet and rape, not just in Gaza , but anywhere they choose.
They are , and their supporters, miserably justifying the extremeness of God’s Punishment, because they and their supporters defy the Commandments of God.
A Muslim is unable to comprehend why anybody would pursue wealth in defiance of God, and expect them respect of the crest of humanity for committing these crimes. Do they enjoy eternal torture?
Are they insane? Does the Man-child really believe that his beautiful bombs give him POWER?
It’s very hard for Muslims to get their head around the total insanity, especially for Britain, Turkey, and Israel that lost Empires for committing violence, that they now want an Empire2, and to continue their ancient violence.
Totally insane. Blind deaf and dumb, yet many a Muslim is still jealous of tbis vacuous behaviour.

I will attempt to give you examples to illustrate, as I understand it. Note: I am no scholar.
You watch a movie or read a book for the first time without knowing the ending. To us, the ending exists, but because we don’t know what that ending is, it is, in a sense, predetermined (the ending was decided before we engaged with the tale).
We’re judged based on how we respond to the conclusion, a conclusion that was never up to us.
Do we take a lesson from it? Do we resent it? Do we warn someone about it? Do we fall in love with it or hate it?
Instead of a book or movie, maybe it’s a marriage, disease, war, invasion, or natural disaster.
To us, the event’s occurrence and conclusion were predetermined, and we are judged by how we respond.
In Islam, every moment is predetermined, no matter how mundane or insignificant it may seem.
How we respond is the manifestation of “free will” in Islam, to my knowledge.

Zakat and Khums are pro-social and communitarian.
Islam is the antidote for the ills of capitalism.
I don’t say this lightly. An Islamic society is a better society than humans have ever devised. Confucianism gets second place.
Every other system (I am aware of) neglects some essential aspect of socialization or flourishing.

As each effect has many causes, not just one, every life has many meanings — most of which may elude us forever. Giyane’s reading guides the search for where meanings reside: in actions rather than words, because it is through actions that we become a new and improved person each day (and through words that we take two steps backward for every one step forward).
“Action” in this sense might get confused with “activism” — which can also be pertinent, but only as a tiny subset of all the things we do: the action of conscious being. Solitary conscientious thinking can be “action” in this sense of meaningful living, as opposed to yackety-yack.

Firstly, it is just two or three entities without the consent of the populace. Not all arabs. They are paying the watchman to keep him from taking away their investments. Bribery. Also prohibited by their professed faith.
But it is far worse. Hypocrisy. In their faith (if they indeed have one (other than money), the consequences for hypocrisy are far far worse and also eternal, than for doing kufr and idol worship.

Netanyahu Charges Macron With ‘Despicable’ Support For Hamas As Spat Deepens
quote

A new Gaza-related spat is now raging between the leaders of France and Israel, amid new reports that famine is hitting the Palestinian population, which is said to be impacting 500,000 people.
French President Emmanuel Macron has called the military policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “shameful” and “unacceptable” in a fresh interview with a national broadcaster.
“What the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is doing is unacceptable,” Macron began in a Gaza segment of the interview. “There is no water, no medicine, the wounded cannot get out, the doctors cannot get in. What he is doing is shameful,” he continued.
He then interestingly appeared to leverage recent reports saying that Trump-Netanyahu relations have reached a low point, and that the White House is fed up with Bib.
“We need the United States. President Trump has the levers. I have had tough words with Prime Minister Netanyahu. I got angry, but they [Israel] don’t depend on us, they depend on American weapons,” Macron said.

Never one to back down from a diplomatic war of words, Netanyahu hit back on Wednesday, going so far as to say that Macron stands with Hamas.
“Macron has once again chosen to stand with a murderous terrorist organization and echo its despicable propaganda, accusing Israel of blood libels,” a statement from the Israeli prime minister’s office said.
“Instead of supporting the Western democratic camp fighting the Islamist terrorist organizations and calling for the release of the hostages, Macron is once again demanding that Israel surrender and reward terrorism,” the blistering Netanyahu statement added.
