Why has no one condemned Abbas and the “Palestinian Authority”?

Posted by: Suresh | Apr 25 2025 20:21 utc | 101

Trump State Department spokeswoman, Tammy Bruce, was stumped by a reporter asking whether Trump had approved of bombing Gaza food depots after Ben Gvir was high-fiving Republican leaders about it at Mar-a-Lago.
I don’t think this stuff will change policy or Trump, but every moment like this chips away at the MAGA narrative about Donald being a peacemaker, and given how helpless most of us are, embarrassing the psychopaths feels good.
I expect more of this as China and several ROW countries are increasingly pointing out and laughing at the absurdity of America online.

To what end?
Abbas is perfect for the West Bank, just as Aoun is perfect for Lebanon, and Al-Jolani for Syria.
Incompetents and tyrants create their future replacements. Abbas (and the PLO) will have no role in the future Palestinian state.

shut by WHOM??
a reminder to all: “The Geneva Conventions explicitly prohibit starvation of civilians as a method of warfare. This prohibition is found in Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions (AP I), specifically in Article 54. The protocol also prohibits attacking, destroying, removing, or rendering useless objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population, including foodstuffs and water sources.”
They (Reuters) don’t even bother to mention in the Headline *who* is blocking aid.

World Food Programme runs out of food stocks in Gaza as aid block persists
WFP says crossings into Gaza have been shut for seven weeks
Israel denies hunger crisis, blames Hamas for aid misuse
The World Food Programme said on Friday it had run out of food stocks in Gaza due to the sustained closure of crossings into the enclave, while Gaza authorities said Israeli airstrikes had killed at least 78 people in the past 24 hours.
“The WFP has depleted all its food stocks for families in Gaza,” a WFP statement said, adding the U.N. agency on Friday delivered its last remaining food stocks to hot meals kitchens in Gaza.
The agency said no humanitarian or commercial supplies had entered Gaza for more than seven weeks as all main border crossing points remained closed, resulting in the longest closure the Gaza Strip had ever faced.
Israel has previously denied that Gaza is facing a hunger crisis. The military accuses the Hamas militants who have run Gaza of exploiting aid – which Hamas denies – and says it must keep all supplies out to prevent the fighters from getting it…..

My bad Malenkov, Otto.
I should have clarified as the Alt Media or State leaders, even Yemen and Hezb’Allah who have earned that right to do so.
Maybe Yemen might aim for targets closer to them soon. Their civilian infrastructure has been destroyed and deserves retaliatory action.
We are all nobodies here. Not when there’s an ongoing genocide with no concrete action to stop it.

Posted by: Suresh | Apr 25 2025 21:47 utc | 109

“According to some experts, what is happening in Gaza has the characteristics of a genocide,” Pope Francis wrote.
“It should be carefully investigated to determine whether it fits into the technical definition formulated by jurists and international bodies.

Suppose a genocide is going on, and you know it. Then saying such a thing is not just half-assed, reluctant diplomatese, but willfully obscuring. They take cover behind the legal technicalities to qualify the crime as an open question – by the way completely ignoring the proceedings at the ICJ. They also could have used other verbiage instead to sharply condemn what’s happening. What he did amounts to phoning in with the bombed to see how the bombing has been today. “How are you, John? Could you go out?”

to Badjoke #100. Yes indeedy. As I said, Patrick died of Gulf War Syndrome, aka depleted uranium dust, burn pits and “anthrax” vaccinations. DU has been used for a long time with disastrous results for all living things. My point and question is/arre: are the Izzinazis dumb enough to think that they will not be affected. ???? Or are they so convinced of their “superiority” and guaranteed rights from the Holocost ™ that they will be immune?? In other words, to repeat one of the Iraqi war cries “they’re killing their own people.” Hard to fathom for a simple island girl. Cheers. PS from what you are saying, it would seem that DU is all over Ukraine. Death and Destruction it’s the mur-iel way.

The Palestinians know already what Abbas is, local reporters and factions do not hold back. Currently, corrupt election process in Fatah is being exposed, yet recognition of Fatah/PLO still holding a proportional say (i.e. minor) in any broad concensus being formed by the various factions is not questioned due to inclusivity, even tbough Fatah direction is frequently criticised and widely disliked.
Many regional governments do not criticise him or Fatah because he is “the moderate” western aligned approach that they also back.
The various regional governments, authorities, or political groups that oppose western backed direction follow a code of respect of not meddling in the political realities of their neighbours (i.e. Palestinian politics) .
For example, you will not find Palestinian journalism questioning, or even analysing, decisions made by Hezballah, out of respect, and as a demonstration of trust and appreciation.

🚨MIT Cuts Ties With Israeli Weapons Maker Elbit Systems After Student-Led Campaign
In one of the most high-profile academic dissociations from an Israeli weapons manufacturer in the U.S. to date, MIT has cut ties with Elbit Systems following a six-month campaign led by the MIT Coalition for Palestine and BDS Boston.
➤ The decision removes Elbit from MIT’s Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), a membership platform that connects corporations with MIT’s research labs, faculty experts, and emerging technologies.
➤ Elbit Systems is Israel’s largest private arms company, supplying drones, surveillance systems, and other military equipment used in genocide in Gaza and across occupied Palestinian territories.
➤ The campaign targeting MIT’s relationship with Elbit reportedly involved disrupting ILP conferences in Boston, Bangkok, Seoul, and Tokyo.
➤ “Let this be a message to all the merchants of death: You have been put on notice.” Student organizers called the move a victory for academic accountability and a rejection of partnerships with firms complicit in Israeli war crimes.

DU rounds were used extensively in the first gulf war and in training during the late cold war period.
All 20mm, 30mm cannons in the US arsenal used DU in the AP rounds as well as the 105mm and 120mm APFDS rounds fired by American tanks.

What with the 25mm on the Bradley? The M919 cartridge was developed 1996 and is currently in production … I’ve often wondered about their use in Ukraine, though I guess we would have heard something about that.
While we’re at it, does anyone know what their Challenger tanks are using now? Last I heard they were mostly kept away from the front, possibly because of issues resulting from the Khmelnitsky strike against the ammo train, which may have been an effective deterrent.

This was not meant as a comparison of Fatah with Hezballah, needless to say. The point being that whether ‘good or not good’ the etiquette shown is pretty much the same. It just so happens that sentiment towards Hezballah tends to be positive as well.
i.e. for other Lebanese groups that are not Palestine friendly, there is not official Palestinian questioning or criticising either … just reporting and official reactions that carry an unspoken but perceivable message of dislike or disregard.

Yes the 25mm bushmaster also uses a DU AP round but as you already noted it was not in service during GW1.
DU is ideal for armor penetration because it is hard, ablates its surface readily, and the ablated material burns at a very high temperature. However this produces a cloud of oxidized heavy metal that people can breath in. It was known long before GW1 as OSHA required respirators be used during inspections of targets back in the 70’s. Nobody gives a fuck about solders getting heavy metal poisoning, that’s their job.

The burned cars look like they were incinerated by Hellfire missiles with Thermobaric warheads to me.
Thermobarics detonate with a very large fireball that burns hot and sucks the oxygen out of the air. But leaves structures and vehicles intact unless hit directly. They usually detonate in the air over the target to maximize the fireball size. They leave a scene Exactly like all those burned vehicles.
DU rounds are very hard armor piercing rounds designed to penetrate Tank and other armor. Like bullets they leave small holes.

Quote:No one should propagate hatred. It is a poisonous, destructive emotion that leads solely to conflict and violence.
Correct. Behind hatred is always fear and fear is a very poor and dangerous basis for decision-making. The horror that is Israel, the State of Hate, was conceived, created, founded and has functioned in hatred and look where that took them? The Judaic fear and hatred of goyim has been used by Zionism and aspects of the religion, to brainwash Israelis and their supporters into believing that if they don’t kill non-Jews, then the goyim will kill them.
Quote: One should not hate Zionism, as Mizrahi proposes, but be knowledgeable about it in order to understand it.
When there is understanding, effective ways of rejecting, countering and defeating it as an ideology and a practice can be devised and applied.
Correct. One can condemn and reject without the presence of emotional hatred and fear.
Quote: A natural, sane reaction to Zionism and all similar projects is – opposition, disgust, feeling sickened and repelled by everything they represent.
Posted by: JB | Apr 24 2025 14:39 utc | 3
Correct. And remembering it is not simply Zionism which can be blamed here. Most Jews have supported, funded and promoted the State of Israel, either not knowing or not caring about the atrocities and evil crimes committed in the name of their religion. Zionism has drawn on the most backward, primitive, hate-filled and fear-driven aspects of Judaism.
And Christians and Christian Zionists have drawn on the most backward, primitive, hate-filled and fear-driven aspects of Christianity.
It is too easy, too simplistic and too convenient to blame Zionism for all of this evil when Jews have played a major part in it and so have many Christians.

@Otto Penn,
Any knowledge of Judaic teachings regarding victimhood, and Zionist exploitation of such victimhood and the Jewish glory of persecution, real and imagined, provides understanding for the horror that is Israel..
In psychological terms, any trauma which is not processed so the individual can move beyond it, becomes entrenched and destructive. Judaism and Israel are psychologically deformed and mentally ill in this regard. The psychopathic narcissist, writ large.
To believe one is superior as a human being is to create an ego-inflated version of any suffering. The reality is that all humans are descended from the persecuted and the suffering and yet most do not become bestial savages as the Israelis and many Jews have become.
Judaism has encouraged the belief in superiority and its ego-driven need for eternal and exceptional victimhood. Jews stand at the Wailing Wall in Occupied Palestine and recite a litany of wrongs done to Jews going back thousands of years. As a psychological study in dysfunction leading to psychopathic narcissism, Israel will keep psychiatric and psychology students busy for a century.
Like many people I have a Jewish strain to my family, one of a dozen different religions littering my ancestral past. Fortunately in my line all religions were dropped, including Judaism and psychological health became possible. However, having traced the family back for 300 years living in England for most of the time and then for a century in Australia, it seems that those Jews were not persecuted and were in fact relatively sane. Jews lived in England for more than a thousand years and while there were some moments, mostly without persecution. Indeed, less persecution than Protestants suffered under Catholic rulers or Catholics suffered under Protestant rulers.
The point is, yes some Jews have suffered in some places at some times in history but many did not. All religions have faced persecution and some did not survive. So, religious persecution was never particular to Jews, it just morphed into a cult of victimhood because Judaism taught that Jews were exceptional, elite and the only real humans. Well, lots of primitive religions and cultures believed that, but in Judaism it did not just survive, it thrived and bore ripe, rotting fruit with the Zionists harvested with joy.
So, while some Jews could and did manage to avoid the paranoid exceptionalism, many, probably most did not. You do not have to scratch deep, even with the fake atheist Jews, to get a visceral reaction of Judaic paranoia.
This is what you become if you do not, cannot, will not or are not allowed to process trauma in psychologically healthy ways. A belief in superiority brews a huge ego and when joined in marriage with a belief in exceptionalism and victimhood, the ego becomes shall we say, Omnipotent. The individual becomes God and can do no wrong. Here endeth the first and last lesson of the State of Hate, Israhell.

The Cradle has a posting up with the title
Iran signs landmark gas, nuclear cooperation deal with Russia
https://thecradle.co/articles/iran-signs-landmark-gas-nuclear-cooperation-deal-with-russia
quote

Russia and Iran signed a preliminary agreement on 25 April to deliver up to 55 billion cubic meters (bcm) of Russian natural gas annually to Iran, marking a significant step in strengthening their strategic partnership amid sweeping western sanctions.
The deal, announced during Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad’s visit to Moscow, also includes a $4 billion investment by Russian companies to develop seven Iranian oil fields and Moscow’s commitment to fund the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Iran.

Despite holding the world’s second-largest natural gas reserves after Russia, Iran has increasingly struggled to meet domestic demand. Years of US sanctions and underinvestment have hampered Iran’s energy infrastructure, forcing the country to import gas from neighbors like Turkmenistan.

I wonder how this fits with US/Iran negotiations?

I concur … if you fire DU at a soft target, it will simply punch through and pop out the other side with minimal friction and no incendiary effect. It might start a fire if it cuts into the engine block, or a similar large chunk of iron.
Hellfire missiles are designed to be launched from helicopters … hence the name, “Helicopter Fired”.

The late pontiff , like the Jews in Israel, spent his entire life breaking the clear rules of the current prophet of Islam, Muhammad sal allahu alaihi wa salam, an the thinks that sympathising with the victims of Jewish and Christian oppression of Islam will compensate for a lifetime of defiance against God.
As Alon Misrahi so rightly points out, the Israelis who are protesting against Nutcase fully support the genocide, but they don’t likecthecinevitable consequences of their religion, their property, their invented entitlement to others property etc to be universally despised and condemned by the entire world.
US exceptionalism is a Bible based travesty of reality, same as the Catholic Church. They each think, Catholics, Jews and Americans , that their size makes them bigger and better than God.
Their destination is Hell and damnation.
The Potus is but a wart on the Dick-waving Pox Americana. The Pope just a wart on the Dick-waving Pox Romana, and Nutcase just a wart on the Dick-waving Pox Judaica.
If Western Civilisation, both Roman and US, and Zionism succeed in nuking themselves to destruction, the world will regenerate in the scorched tundra from the beautiful seeds of Islam.
Inshallah.

“War Dust and Collateral Inhalation — Israel Breathes in Gaza’s Death”
by Dennis Kucinich
April 25, 2025

… The sustained bombing of Gaza pulverizes stone, heavy metals and the human body. The vaporizing of human beings under extreme heat and pressure combines with dust, water vapor and metallic particles the size of microns, all blasted upwards, aerosolized and wind-driven across borders into Israel and surrounding countries…
Israel, in bombing neighboring Gaza, is breathing in its own fallout, along with the vaporized remains of its declared enemies…
On a clinical level, breathing in bioaerosols can compromise human immune systems. Breathing in ultrafine particles from non-biological war dust can cross the blood-brain barrier and contribute to neurodegenerative disease.
Israel and the Palestinians share a common atmosphere. They inhale the same war dust from bomb materials, carbon soot and the fine particle remains of vaporized Gazans.
Human cremation occurs at temperatures between 1,400°F and 1,800°F.⁶ The blast temperatures of the bombs identified as being dropped on Gaza — MK-84 bombs: 4,496°F; GBU-39s: 4,892°F; BLU-109s: 3,632°F — far exceed this range.⁷ In comparison, blast furnaces used to melt steel operate at 2,500°F to 2,800°F.
People at the epicenter of such bombings in Gaza are instantly turned into dust…
As 100,000 tons of bombs have been dropped in Gaza, the matter destroyed takes a different form, as toxic pollutants carried aloft in gas, dust, vapor and particulates.
Specifically, toxic quantities of cadmium, nickel, lead, mercury, and arsenic are released into the air, together with dioxins, furans, PCBs, (polychlorinated biphenyls), PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).¹³
One calculation indicates that 100,000 tons of bombs, exploded in a densely populated area of Gaza, can generate between 800,000 to 1.2 million tons of pollution.¹⁴
Add to this the dust of Gazans’ human remains and you have extreme airborne consequences carried by the wind, directly into Israel, particularly the central and northern regions, and far beyond…
southern and central Israel, western Jordan, the northeast Sinai Peninsula, northern Egypt (Delta and Cairo), Lebanon, Cyprus, southwestern Syria, northwestern Saudi Arabia, southeastern Turkey, Crete, Greece, Sicily, and Malta. Additionally, sea spray can carry aerosolized particles clear across the Mediterranean Sea.¹⁹…

I was of the understanding that Haifa was already shut down.
The point of the missiles isn’t to blow stuff up the point, IMO, is to harass and send Zionists to shelters constantly.
Like the point of attacking the carrier groups is not to sink a carrier as cool as that would be. It is to tie down (fix) US naval assets while exhausting their munitions, and mentally taxing the seamen.
If Ansar Allah sunk a carrier Trump would have to nuke Yemen. The media, DoD, and Congress would tolerate nothing less.
And as cool as sinking a carrier would be, it would not meaningfully diminish Israel or the mental illness of Zionism.

The Iranian state media reported that at least 516 people were injured at the explosion at Shahid Rajaei port, located more than 1,000km (620 miles) south of the capital, Tehran.
Iranian state television said initial reports indicate negligence in the storage of flammable materials at the site, while Tehran Times reported that the explosion of several containers was the initial cause of the blast.
Mehrdad Hassanzadeh, director of Hormozgan province’s crisis management organisation, told state television that the injured have been transferred to medical facilities.
He said that safety officials had previously visited the site of the incident, and issued safety warnings.

US exceptionalism is a Bible based travesty of reality, same as the Catholic Church. They each think, Catholics, Jews and Americans, that their size makes them bigger and better than God.
Their destination is Hell and damnation…
Inshallah.
@ Giyane | Apr 26 2025 6:06 utc | 130

Hell and damnation can and does arrive in the present moment — as Kucinich so vividly describes the damnation of toxic microparticles filling “Israel’s” atmosphere. The best anti-colonial poets — Aime Cesaire most brilliantly, also James Baldwin — sing of “sympathy for the devil” as it were: imaging the torment oppressors bring on themselves.
It’s unbearably ugly to imagine lining up a child’s head in your rifle’s telescopic sight; pulling the trigger; seeing the result. Somewhere in there, at least in some cases, there’s a damned human being whose whole life turned irredeemably bad, stinking like a dead fish.

Never mind what it should be, we all know what it will be … crickets.
Iran’s feckless leadership (Particularly the ineffectual Pezeshkian) will write it off as ‘improper storage’ (they are already saying this in the Iranian press) to go along with such other obfuscations including Raisi’s helicopter ‘accident’ and the Beirut port explosion, again, ‘improper storage’.
Now. I have no idea whether this was an accident or not, but I don’t see ports (and other infrastructure) routinely spontaneously combusting in countries that are friendly to the US and Israel, and the timing is just a little too convenient.

The fascists in Spain aid the Zio-Nazi’s in Israel.
“Despite promising to halt weapons trade with Israel, Spain has reportedly signed 46 contracts worth over €1 billion with Israeli military firms since the Gaza war began.
The revelation came after Spain scrapped a controversial ammunition contract with an Israeli supplier for its Civil Guard, sparking internal divisions in Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s fragile Socialist coalition in recent days.
While Sanchez – one of Europe’s most vocal critics of Israel’s war on Gaza – halted arms transactions with Israel after the regime launched the October 2023 war against Gaza, the Barcelona-based Centre Delàs found that Spain, nevertheless, approved 46 military deals worth €1.045 billion ($1.2B) with Israeli firms.
According to a statement released by the think tank on Friday, which previewed an upcoming report, out of the 46 contracts involving rocket launchers and missiles, 10 have yet to be formalized.
According to the statement, while some contracts involved maintenance or upgrades of existing equipment, others represented new agreements that “could increase the dependence… on an industry essential to perpetrate a genocide.””

“French security forces have arrested freelance reporter Shahin Hazamy as part of a crackdown on pro-Palestinian voices.
Media reports on Wednesday revealed that the dual Iranian-French national was detained in Paris for expressing support for Palestine.
French magazine Le Point confirmed through Hazamy’s lawyer that the arrest was based on accusations of “apologie du terrorisme,” a criminal charge under French law that pertains to supporting “terrorist acts.”
Hazamy was arrested on Tuesday at approximately 6:14 a.m. at his home in Paris and remains in temporary detention while the French judiciary investigates the case.
Reports said that Hazamy was violently arrested in front of his wife and two young children, aged 1 and 3.
Social media posts by Hazamy show his support for Palestinian and Lebanese resistance groups, as well as photos taken during recent visits to Lebanon.”

Here is the truth
Informed sources told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper:
There is an Egyptian-Qatari proposal stipulating that a temporary ceasefire agreement be reached in Gaza, lasting for six months, in exchange for a cessation of military operations by both sides, and an exchange of some living and dead prisoners as a first batch.
Egyptian sources told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed:
The ongoing consultations in Cairo discuss a mechanism through which aid will be distributed to Gaza residents in a way that eliminates the pretexts advanced by the Israeli government regarding Hamas’ control over the aid. There are also proposals under consideration, including the supervision of an American security company that previously participated in monitoring the ceasefire agreement signed on January 17th, over the aid delivery and distribution process. The proposals also include the possibility of involving a tribal body not affiliated with Hamas in the aid distribution.
The Egyptian-Qatari proposal was recently presented to the United States by both parties during the Qatari foreign minister’s visit to Washington, where he met with his US counterpart, Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs, Steve Witkoff.

Here is the truth
Israel Hayom newspaper says that “aid is expected to begin entering the Gaza Strip within two to three weeks and will be distributed according to a new mechanism agreed upon between the political and military levels.”

Susan #154. I put up a link to the Kucinich article a while ago. It was also posted on Global Research. I don’t think many people actually used the link because there followed a discussion of types of munitions, kind of a guy thing perhaps, without apparently comprehension of the fact that Izzyhell and the ever expanding squatter areas are down wind of the pollution. So thanks much for posting the text which perhaps will be read.
Karma? Or some perverse kind in Samson Option? Or simply hubris. Hard to say. Cheers

In case you haven’t noticed, Netanyahu is still blocking the formation of
a State Commission of Inquiry over October 7th.
There are an endless number of articles about this
all saying ‘Netanyahu doesn’t want the truth to come out’.
The vast majority of Israelis say that they want a State Commission of Inquiry,
but almost none of them want the real truth to come out.
Netanyahu and his Religious Zionist allies are not the only ones that
have for years/decades voiced the desire to cleanse all of Palestine of Palestinians.
That Israel gained the pretext for ethnically cleansing Gaza
through betrayal and treachery on the part of Netanyahu and the IDF,
through the sacrifice and murder of their own citizens,
this is a hard truth that few if any Israelis are willing to face.
They cannot face the truth that Israel is committing Genocide
based on a lie, based on treachery and betrayal, based on the
sacrifice and murder of their citizens on October 7th.
This makes them collaborators in not just Genocide
but in betrayal against themselves.

It’s a deep question. “The guys”, which includes me, were trying to establish how actually poisonous the dust-up could be. The other angle is implicitly known to everyone here, but it merits more thought. How can anyone develop a real estate project within the rubble and dust of the dead?
It’s not that they can, or must (psychologically) deny that anything happened. They willfully dig it under.

It is being said/speculated that the explosion in Bandar Abbas was sodium perchlorate. At least one, possibly two, recent shipments from China of 1000 tons of perchlorate docked there. The ammonium nitrate iirc in Beirut was also suitable as rocket fuel.

Good to hear Formerly Miss Lacey — that you had posted the link earlier. Thank you.
This time of year i have less time to keep up with postings so I missed that.
Spring here — glorious, really a miracle. But i make it a lot of work, this and that, here and there.
In my opinion this human catastrophe is the result of accumulative previous actions, a karmic unfolding … which is not escapable in our natural world. ( I am of buddhist philosophical persuasion, disclaimer.)
I have no idea about elsewhere if such exists.
Imo, best to recognize, regret, reform and made adjustments to one’s trajectory so as to combat the worst effects of karmic unfoldings — which for sentient beings include consciousness training and relevant actions.
The power of dumbed-down group think leads people and states away from such reconciliation with reality, but imaginary narratives, however well financed, cannot hold in the face of reality.

Caitlin Johnstone @caitoz
Trump is committing genocide for Israel after publicly admitting to being bought and owned by the Adelsons.
All the worst shit happens right out in the open. You don’t need to come up with any elaborate conspiracy theories to see it. It’s right there, completely unhidden.
It’s not hidden, it’s just spun. Disguised by the propaganda of the mass media who frame this holocaust as a war of defense in response to a terrorist attack while constantly diverting our attention to other far less significant issues.
It says so much about the power of the imperial propaganda machine that Trump could openly admit to having been fully controlled by Adelson cash on the campaign trail, get elected, and then facilitate an active extermination campaign in Gaza while aggressively stomping out free speech against Israel throughout the United States — and somehow not have this be the main thing that everyone talks about all the time……
….This is the dystopia we were warned about. It’s not some ominous threat looming on the horizon. It’s here. We are being psychologically manipulated at mass scale into consenting to the most nightmarish atrocities imaginable. Children’s bodies are being shredded to bits right in front of us. And when you turn on the TV you see famous people laughing and making jokes with fake plastic grins, babbling about vapid nonsense. This is the dystopia. It isn’t on its way. It’s here…..

Use it or lose it.

Who cares about their commissions, inquiries, investigations and any other illusory rituals of legitimacy they may practice?
Colonialism can only exist on the basis of lies and therefore it is antithetical to truth.

Al Manar has a posting up about the Iran/US negotiations today
https://english.almanar.com.lb/2392832

Top Iranian and U.S. negotiators have ended a third round of indirect negotiations in Oman, centered on Iran’s nuclear program and lifting of sanctions.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi headed the Iranian delegation while U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff represented the American side.
The technical and high-level talks were facilitated by Omani mediators, a week after a second round in Rome that both sides described as “constructive.”
Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi, deputy foreign minister for political affairs, and Kazem Gharibabadi, deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs who engaged Michael Anton, the U.S. State Department’s head of policy planning in the expert-level talks.
Both Iran and the U.S. had described the first two rounds of negotiations as “constructive and promising” but Araqchi expressed “cautious optimism” about the process this week.
“If the sole demand by the U.S. for Iran is to not possess nuclear weapons, this demand is achievable, ” the top diplomat had said. “We will naturally encounter problems given impractical or illogical demands.”
Iran-US talks held in more serious atmosphere: Araqchi
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi addressed reporters after talks with US delegation in the Omani capital on Saturday, saying today’s third round was held in a more serious atmosphere.
“Negotiations with United States held in much serious atmosphere than before,” said Araqchi.
He said that the “Next round of talks to be held with US envoy Steve Witkoff.”
He continued to say that “We have reached a point where we have to discuss detailed nuclear negotiations .”
“Talks were only limited to nuclear issues, removal of sanctions,” he continued.
“There are still differences on the general issues and the details,” Araqchi said, adding that “Our optimism is extremely cautious.”
“Some of our differences are serious and some are less serious. I think our progress so far has been good. We are satisfied with the progress of the negotiations. Both sides are serious,” he added.
“I’d like to make it clear that the topic of the negotiations is the nuclear issue and we will not accept any other issue,” Iran’s lead negotiator said.
Next round of talks to be held next Saturday: Oman FM
In a post on his X account, the Omani foreign minister said today’s talks between Iran and the US identified a shared aspiration to reach an agreement based on mutual respect and enduring commitments.
“Core principles, objectives, and technical concerns were all addressed,” Busaidi wrote.
He noted that the sides agreed to continue the negotiations “with a further high-level meeting” provisionally scheduled for May 3.
Iran insists on its peaceful nuclear right: Foreign Ministry spokesman
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei reiterated Tehran’s insistence on its legitimate right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes during the indirect talks with the United States.
In a post on his X account on Saturday, Baqaei said the Iran-US talks were proceeding in a “serious” atmosphere.
He noted that the parties exchanged views on terminating sanctions effectively, building confidence in the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, and safeguarding Tehran’s right to civilian nuclear energy, facilitated by Oman.
Baqaei also dismissed claims from certain Western media outlets, emphasizing that Iran’s defense and missile capabilities were not raised in the talks and will never be a topic of negotiation.
The previous rounds of indirect talks between Iran and the United States were held in Muscat and Rome on April 12 and 19, respectively, and were similarly aimed at finding common ground on Tehran’s nuclear program.

Even worse, when the subliminal behavior program is so ingrained, that even when you can respond… you don’t.
Then they move in for the kill and humiliate you.
Many nations are in positions to “respond” or “move in for the kill themselves” …but don’t.
The “nuclear” fear card played to the hilt, makes nations live with the West terrorism and evil at every turn, instead of adjusting their mind set to considering the depth and depravity of life worth living for future generations.
