My take:
The name “Jew” has been irredeemably tainted for the next millennium at least.
Argue all you want about fairness, enlightenment, “being the bigger person”, sometimes you just have to change yourself instead of asking the world to change around you.

Get a new name, get a new brand.
That way when the second holocaust rolls around you won’t get caught up with those who well and truly deserve what’s coming to them.

I accept the many views posted as being worthy and am not going to get into a mud fight about a religion and a fascist political strategy.
I’ll just carry on with this pantomime show by the members of the self-selected British Board of Deputies.. and it’s ‘30’ letter writers which is in some manner supposed to mean that there is some democratic legitimacy in supporting the illegal apartheid entity and it’s fascist Nazi apartheid colonialism in The Levant and extermination of ancient native Semetic peoples.
First just note the fact of ‘30’ – does it not seem designed to resonate with the 30 pieces of silver fable of treachery by Judas?
Especially in time for this western Easter weekend?
Yes they really are that ‘inventive’ and great story tellers – well known for separating a man from his wealth by use of legal notions and contracts … to enslave the world.
I’ll elaborate.
A long while ago now I went into the detail of that sordid initial agreement to create out of The Palestine Mandate, which didn’t exist at the time of WW1 , the legality of a neo-colonial Jewish state magically guaranteed by the British Empire. During wartime cabinet meetings. Which are minuted and public record.

Should they have abandoned their personal religious beliefs because of such a fundamentalist political manoeuvring? Of course not.

Does that mean they are now ‘good Jews’? Instead of Bad Jews who are genociding Palestinians?
No – they have again made the issue about themselves to grab headlines.
The ‘30’ pieces of Board of Deputies seem to lament the fact that millions of Brits (and billions more world wide) are not stopping protesting against the destruction of The Palestine and its native Semitic peoples.
It seem the 30 haven’t resigned from their unelected Board of Deputies either.
Nor from any pro wasraeli belief. Which means they are certainly part of continued colonialism and expansion.
So it is pantomime, to divert attention from our collective western Zionist Fascist guilt for the mass murder , criminal theft and Human rights violations of the native peoples and lands that were INVADED under some bit of ‘paper’ contract drawn up hastily and signed and published in the western press they controlled a century previously.
A piece of paper to give greater legitimacy than the ‘Word’ in some fairy tale book of their personal Sky faerie that never ‘appeared’ to the rest of humanity, to let us know that ‘It’ was in charge of all of us, whether we like it or not, and ‘It’ had decided that area of the Earth would be given over to ‘It’s’ chosen few who are not actually the Semitic natives but descendants of some EurAsian Turkic tribals.
That piece of paper, the Balfour Declaration, well before the advent of the proxy German Nazis who were formed to encourage settlement of that west Asian/ Africa bridge by the imperilaist Dynastic Zionists wanting to force their tribals there. Most were choosing to go to Yankee Doodle land instead! Who can blame them? They needed further encouragement by terror and fear and ultimately forceful transportation. But still not enough. The current letter in the British press (which they control) slyly conflates a religion and themselves who do not live there but are citizens of other nations, which aims to reinforce that last Anglo European invasion and colonialism in Palestine and its never ending expansion – cancerous metastasis into the wider Levant now with the destruction of Syria and its ancient Native communities.
It is an excuse by the fascist Zionists of all flavours to excuse and perpetuate that further conquest.

Indeed their word means nothing. But the power constellation has changed. The zionist entity, the US and Turkey have expanded and increased their spheres of control. For the Saudis this is a threat. Iran might be much more powerful as a nation today than ten years ago, but it’s power projection is drastically diminished. From Saudi perspective the rapproachment is rational.
The Saudis will still have to do better than just words, but for now it seemsb at least possible they are sincere.
