Bangladesh has reinstated the phrase “Except Israel” on their passports recently.
The phrase used to appear on their passports until Sheikh Hasina took power.

Bangladesh reintroduces ‘except Israel’ phrase on passports
Muslim-majority Bangladesh does not recognise Israel. The ‘except Israel’ phrase was removed in 2021 during former PM Sheikh Hasina’s tenure

A few months ago I remember commentators like Brian Berletic and our “b” having identified the coup against Hasina as a Western-backed one.

I had my doubts back then about this (even Berletic’s usually solid analysis seemed a little flakey this time) but now I am even more convinced the events in Bangladesh had nothing to do with the West.

Sometimes people just just overthrow shitty leaders because they can’t take them anymore.
That’s what really happened in Bangladesh, and that’s why naturally they’re giving ‘israel’ the middle finger.
Queue the screeches of “anti-semitism!” and obligatory tariffs from the orange arsonist in the White House …

I have gone back and forth on this many times.
Moral choices are never easy.
That said, I am a firm believer that actions indicate true preference.
If someone opposes the genocides and still participates in civic life with full investment, that to me seems like a contradiction.
At the same time, what is one random person in the West supposed to do?
If these questions had easy answers, the genocide(s) would already be over.

“Everyone is complicit. Including you and me.”
… because you say so ? If someone fabricates (invents) value for themselves out of the existence of another (for example saying ‘that is my person’), is that other anything to do with that, are they responsible for ‘simply existing’ ?
No, complicity is understood to be by active support in this case, or by not withdrawing existing support where it is found.
Again it is counterproductive, to try to leverage a sense of guilt that way. People who distance themselves from acceptance of all related, or who actively oppose, being told they are complicit. They will turn around and tell you where to go with your ’cause’, and you will be taking their sympathy or empathy towards Palestinians with you. Are you up to that, to take responsibility for one life lost due to an effect of the error or ambiguity of your approach ?
I don’t think so, but then maybe you consider being killed an ideal. To yourself, in that case, not innocent children of other people.
If you are writing only out of vengeance or spite of some kind, well to use the people being killed as a form of justification for your own satisfaction is ‘not acceptable’, to put it lightly.
If you are saying such to antagonise a reaction, react yourself instead of expecting others to do the work for you.
If the idea is just to probe the sentiments of others, its not really the time, theme or place, is it ?
If you are trying to conflate your own sense of guilt with or onto others, well you have your ‘fan club’, but this topic is not supposed to be about scoring own attention.
Etc.

Information and statements released regarding ceasefire/truce negotiations indicate no agreement is within site.
The mediators are said to have adopted the “Israeli” stance of temporary ceasefire for release of prisoners, with no guarantee of truce, withdrawal or end of conflict, while also demanding Hamas disarm.
This is not acceptable to Hamas, and is known not to be acceptable to Hamas.
“Israeli” political statements all indicate that continuing the conflict is the agenda.
Several airstrikes reported on Yemen just now.
In Gaza the scenario is similar to previous days.

US is a poser, and Iran should be very careful with any ‘negotiations’.

Brian Berletic @BrianJBerletic
🇺🇸🇮🇷 On US-Iran “Negotiations”
▪️Iran seeks time and space to continue building deterrence against US regime change;
▪️The US seeks regime change at most, significant containment and the continued undermining of Iran at minimum – all while posing as wanting “diplomacy;”
▪️There is no circumstance under which the US will ever negotiate in good faith – it has no right in the first place to intervene against Iran and everything it does is part of continuity of an agenda that includes the invasion/destruction of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria;
▪️Everything Iran is doing is done to avoid becoming the next Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, or Syria, recognizing limits to its military and economic power and thus required to compromise to place the US in as awkward a position as possible diplomaticly and militarily were it to launch strikes;
▪️The problem is that as the US runs out of time and becomes more desperate, it becomes more dangerous and thus more likely to launch aggression indifferent to world opinion/reaction – it is also very willing to use Israel to trigger wider conflict and absorb global scorn;

I agree with your observations on Pezeshkian. Thankfully, the Ayatollah is wise and has sufficient wisdom for the entirety of the Persian people.
If America engages Iran, I believe it will be very sorry to have done so and will face the worst military defeat in American history. Iran is not Iraq. Iran has the most high-tech weapons and hardened defenses in a style that America cannot handle in Yemen.
Iran has ISR, eWar, and submarines. It is THE military power in West Asia.

“If you read my posting, you just repeated much of what I said less eloquently and intelligently.”
You are going to have to join the dots for me there, as I don’t find the correlation (and I don’t say it does not exist) . My style of writing I hope was taken as questioning, and starting with the phrase:
“Everyone is complicit”
Because I just cannot accept that position. Not in terms of myself, and even though I feel my own conscience is clear, but of that of seeing all others labelled as complicit, that is both impossible in real terms as well as unfair. There are those that are outside of media communication who do not even know what is occuring, who are not part of any related society, for example.
So unless it is via some mystical reality, or was meant as a reflection (i.e. going on sarcasm or polemic) of what is being attempted by the instigators (to draw anyone into the orbit of political influences) …

No judgement was implied, only contest, debate is worthy, people say what they have to say.

The Strook story is important, because it shows how criminals like the Isrseli Minister for Settlements psychopathically project their own predilection for evil onto ‘the other’.
As to the cleanness of non-participants in this genocide of the Palestinians, our imaginations cannot grasp the nature of the psychopathy that sexually abuses their own children , and offloads their savagery onto clean-living Muslims.
Nobody can be called complicit in genocide, for simply not resisting the advanced level of depravity of the political classes. WE are not responsible for THEIR depravity.
We cannot even imagine it.
I think that anybody who accuses people who resist evil in their personal lives , of assisting the evil conceived and done by others, is talking bollox.
We cannot be held resonsible for the psychopaths who rape and murder others by making takfir of their sect. The entire message of the Gospels is Not to project your own evil onto others, which is what takfir is.
Esa AS preached this message to the Children of Israel , to do good yourself, not to clean your self-image by projecting Your Evil onto others.
The Islsmist takfiris are exactly the same psychopathy as the Jewish haters of Paletinians. It is sufficient for every individual to purify their own tendency to evil. We are not complicit in the psychopathic evil of those who project what they hate about themselves onto their victims.
HTS are psychopaths. Zionists genociders are psychopaths. End of story. Finis . Towow. Chalas.
Their destination is Hell.

I don’t believe there will be an Iran deal. IMO, Trump is starting to get a sense that things are slipping away from him.
He’s going to hold to his maximalist demands where Iran has to surrender its sovereignty.
Iran, obviously, cannot agree.
Trump seems to have figured out that the Iranians are playing for time, like the Russians and the Chinese.
Time is working against the Empire. It is on borrowed time right now (tick tock), made even more precious by Trump’s bumbled tariff gambit.
What Trump does when he is stymied at every turn and no one will yield to him remains to be seen. Will he get more aggressive and threatening? Will he display force to make a point?
And what will he do if the Axis continues not to bend their knees to him and he starts to lose Zionist support? Anxious and desperate people are capable of ~anything~.
So much of Trump’s persona is rooted in “winning” and success. What will MAGAs do if they (metaphorically) see their God bleed?

Remember that millions of Indigenous peoples didn’t simply die because they lacked natural immunity to European pathogens. Their bodily defenses were weakened by starvation, exertion, depression, anxiety, & other direct consequences of colonialism. Forced displacement is murder.
As outlined by Amitav Ghosh, studies show that Europeans would’ve also died en masse had they been exposed to the same colonial pressures. We whitewash settler colonialism & forced displacement. But they facilitate the extermination of millions of Natives, even if discreetly….
“Land is life” is not just an Indigenous metaphor. Ongoing land theft in Gaza, Turtle Island, Australia, and Tamil Eelam spells a death sentence to its original inhabitants. We must abolish settler colonialism and return the land to its historic protectors

Coverage of ground realities in Gaza are now very sparse.
What do I mean by that ?
Various of the blatant atrocities are reported on, military activity such as strikes signalled, but for the rest there is near silence.
There is no coverage of conditions of the continuously displaced, only that displacements continue to take place. There is no coverage of food availability, only blanket statements by international bodies, and occasionally a local tally of diminished flour reserves or bakeries still functioning.
There are reasons for this. Firstly organisation of oversight appears completely interrupted, of both local and any international observers, with any observers gagged from making estimates, and local authorities unable to keep track.
A more chilling reason is the effect of war and starvation on the population. In the link in previous comment to Arch, there are reports there (on homepage somewhere) from Syria on how locals react to the genocidal massacres. They close themselves away and refuse to interact with helpers, for example (over 30 000 Alawites are said to have fled the coast to Lebanon incidentally). That is not Gaza circumstance, but just a broader example of the effects of conflict on the disposition of people. More telling are accounts of the degrading effect of humiliations that run contrary to Palestinian society, of having to accept hand outs of food for example. These realities destroy the dignity of a people, and without doubt are part of a purposeful implementation of destruction of the social fabric of Gaza. They do not compare visibly with the atrocities, and what are people to say there with regard. Now though, well if you read up on the famine in Ireland, people just closed themselves in their homes and starved. They were not forced to do so, but it was all that was left for them to do.
Silently.
Youssef Fares very rarely loses his composure, and he makes no apology, nor needs to, when he does. So I just present his words, and I hope anyone else is also able to read through them to the reality behind:
“The aim of destroying hospitals and shelters in the early hours of the morning is nothing but to create crime. We are facing a criminal terrorist entity devoid of morals, values and human genes, and a mute world that possesses the same genes as this enemy. This night will engrave its bloody details on the “core” of the lowly planet, with its countries, bodies, sheikhdoms, republics, parties, media, minarets and churches, in which I see nothing but the embodiment of the idea of the one-eyed Antichrist. The time has come in which we realize that the Messiah will not be a man, but a world whose components are mute humans… Damn your lives as we are being exterminated… Damn this world.

A couple of suggestions from me have gotten scrambled. I suggested at one point that, since the “mainstream” definition is pro-Palestinian = antisemitic (and antisemitic = pro-Palestinian) that those of us, such as myself, who have long idolized Edward Said for the possibility of healing he tried to bring us Westerners, people who love Palestine, should be proud of the erstwhile-stupid “antisemitic” label.
It’s a fantasy of mine, which apparently went over like a lead balloon. Words about words (i.e. philology) are the most likely constructions to misfire into misunderstanding. I should know better than to try. But history is full of examples of the principle I’m advocating: destroying a verbal toxin by adopting it proudly. (Merl Haggard is “proud to be an Okie from Muskogee” — also, you might have heard what my brothers and sisters call each other.)
An unrelated observation had to do with the difference between anger and hatred. Always the most energetic creativity emerges from anger. Novels, symphonies, and theorems percolate while tossing and turning, patiently nursing a smoldering anger into the finest revenge. Anger is functionally an essential psycho-somatic nutrient.
When and where does it cross over into hatred? For me, it looks like hatred when the flow of angry words (a poke in the chest, for each of the 13 exhibits in his list (at

Do I need to explain why this looks like bigotry poking up its head? C’mon people, are we really burnishing scientific excellence as a pretext for hating Jews? Passages like this from Arch look like missteps to me. I don’t want to believe Arch is a bigot. Sometimes he sounds like one. The worst harm inflicted by wild hatred is in the heart of the hater. Life on Earth is much too short to embrace darkness. For us elders, our digestion is the first clue. If your tummy complains, you might be hating too much.

Although the message of Islam has been crystal clear for 1400 years that God is One , and the worship of saints and prophets like Esa AS is shirk/ heresy, the attacks on Yazidis, Alawis and Shi’a are clearly enabled by Turkey , which accommodates and shelters thousands of Alawites and Shi’a; enabled by USUKIS who worship Jesus AS and Trinity; and enabled by Conservative elements of Syrian society that have protected and used Alawites and Shi’a in their State apparatus for a thousand years.
The procedure in Islam is to educate, promulgate the Truth , for as long as it takes to make the message clear, that shirk will be severely punished.

The US has been.projecting ceasefires in Gaza for 18 months. That baby was due last year and it’s stuck there. The world iscso sick of US diplomacy spinning out this genocide with continual promises of respite thatcare never delivered.
Boris Johnson scuppered the ceasefire in Ukraine. USUKIS wages war by deception.
Anybody who breaks their solemn word to create a ceasefire will be sent to the gallows immediately. Then let them talk about ceasefires.

The world is so sick of these Gulf Arab cryptoJews working day in day out to create Greater Israel and destroy the sharaf/ Honour of the Muslim Shi’a Resistance which threatens their tenuous clinging onto power.
Who needs enemies when your religion is managed by Daleks, Gog and Magog insects like Saudi, Dubai and Qatar?

@235 Giyane
Their version of a ceasefire is something like “continue denying entry of supplies until capitulation” of those remaining. Is anyone able to change that ?
Here is latest OCHA report, note no necessary hard figures given or estimated even, so just a blanket report :
“Occupied Palestinian Territory
Civilians in Gaza running out of aid, space for survival
OCHA reports that daily displacement orders – combined with intense bombardment and a complete closure on cargo entry – are steadily eroding what little space remains for civilians to survive in Gaza.
Earlier today, Israeli authorities issued two new displacement orders covering vast areas in northern and southern Gaza. Together, these areas span more than 24 square kilometres.
Several medical facilities and storage sites containing critical supplies are located within the newly designated displacement zones. OCHA warns that this could have life-threatening consequences for people in urgent need of care.
With this latest development, OCHA reports that more than two thirds of the Gaza Strip is either under active displacement orders or designated as “no-go” zones – areas where humanitarian teams are required to coordinate their movements with Israeli authorities. The remaining space left for Palestinians is fragmented, unsafe and barely livable following 18 months of hostilities, which are ongoing. Overcrowded shelters are in terrible condition, service providers are struggling to operate, and resources are being depleted.
OCHA notes that today marks 40 days since Israeli authorities imposed a full closure on the entry of cargo into Gaza. Since then, no one – including the UN and its humanitarian partners – has been permitted to bring in supplies, regardless of how critically needed those items may be.
Everything is running extremely low: Bakeries have shut down, life-saving medicines have run out, and water production has been drastically reduced.
Israel, as the occupying power, has clear obligations under international law, and these include ensuring food, medical care and public health services are available.
Meanwhile, attacks across Gaza continue unabated. In recent days, OCHA has received reports that several humanitarian assets and their immediate surroundings have been hit. These include a clinic, a water tanker and tents sheltering displaced families. Windows of a UN guesthouse were also damaged.
At the same time, the Israeli authorities continue to deny the UN’s efforts to coordinate humanitarian movements. Yesterday and today, six out of 10 such attempts were blocked outright. The few movements that were facilitated involved only staff – not the delivery of aid.”

Moreover their foremost scientific minds are Jews.
Posted by: Aleph_Null | Apr 15 2025 1:13 utc | 228
How is my statement “hatred”? If anything it could be construed as a complement (of Jews).
The statement is factual, the founding theories of *modern* western science are disproportionately put forward by Jews, beginning with Relativity. Your Nobel prize racket largely reflects this statement: 22% of the recipients are (ashkenazi, European) Jews, despite the extreme minority of the Jews.
I analysed a long list of the foundational scientific concepts of modern science and in the bulk of them the Jews are put forward as founders. Take a random field, the the field of semantics for example, founded by … Michel Bréal, a Jew.
And one can go on like this until the disturbing trend is revealed.
Feelings of victimisation aside – that entire list of 13 points I made earlier is largely factual it does point to a distorted and alarming influence over the West of a tiny, cult-like, religious minority.

There’s no hate there, no bigotry either. Just a question of why such an odd minority, so at odds with so called “traditional western values” wield so much power across all dimensions of Western existence.

Noticing patterns can’t be called “bigotry”.
If you can explain these patterns, I might be willing to change my mind.

White House Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff appears to confirm tonight on Fox News that the Trump Administration is no longer pushing for the total denuclearization of Iran or the destruction of its nuclear program, instead wishing to impose limits on Iran’s enrichment of uranium and the weaponization of its nuclear program, very similar to the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal.

I don’t know if anyone heard this but the US and Israel are putting together a big coalition to take Western Yemen away from the Houthis

The US Plan
Full-scale attack on Yemen:
— US-Israeli intel, media, sea & air etc
— Saudi, UAE, others join in
— 80k troops on West Coast + attacks from Al-Bayda & Taiz
— Hold oil-rich Marib
Result

I’m suffering from Israel Derangement Syndrome (IDS), brought on by having been subjected to almost 2 years of traumatic footage showing fellow human beings slaughtered en masse on a daily basis.
Yes, I believe a worldwide citizen army should gather forces to disarm the criminal state of Israel and to incarcerate, at least, its leadership. It should then disband this criminal gang entirely. No, it has no “right to exist” as a state. It has failed that test, abysmally.
Criminals like its leadership deserve imprisonment, not the royal treatment from the political class of its funding and armament source, the U.S.
If you think this is “extreme,” then what have you been watching for the last 21 months straight, a comedy show?

China doesn’t want to get involved in anything militarily, and I don’t blame them. The minute America gets bogged down in West Asia, China can quickly and easily grab Taiwan. They don’t need the semiconductor manufacturing, but it’s a matter of removing an American base on their border.
The next 2 weeks could be very interesting.
Also, what does Egypt do? And Turkiye in Syria? Do they help the Americans, or do they do nothing?

Translation of a post from Yemen

Do we fear God or the enemy? Whoever wants a real answer should ask themselves this question: What is the worst thing the enemy could do to you in exchange for God’s severe, never-ending, and never-ending punishment? The enemy’s fear-mongering campaigns don’t even move a hair in us.
Moreover, God is with us and the one who will be defeated and taste bitterness and shame here in this world before the hereafter is the enemy by the power of God and His supporters, and the outcome is for the righteous.

Two indications of the imminent US-led ground confrontations in Yemen.
1. Today’s US bombing focused on the eastern regions under Sana’a’s control. Specifically, the bombing targeted defensive lines in Ma’rib and Al-Jawf governorates.
This indicates that US aircraft have begun their mission of providing air cover and aerial bombardment for the ground advance.
2. The US aircraft carrier USS Vinson is stationed in southeastern Yemen, despite Yemeni missiles and drones being launched from northern and western Yemen.
This means that the USS Vinson’s deployment in southeastern Yemen is intended to enable US aircraft to cover the eastern regions more quickly, targeting moving targets such as supplies and troops on the ground. The eastern regions have no connection to what is happening in the Red Sea.
This is clear evidence that a ground battle is about to begin in Yemen, led, supported, and provided by US air cover, Yemeni mercenaries, and terrorist elements such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS, with the possible participation of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The U.S. confirmation that the **USS Harry S. Truman** (CVN-75) is out of service **corroborates reports of severe damage from Houthi missile/drone attacks** in the Red Sea. Here’s why:

https://x.com/DrArshadAfzal1/status/1911711510629433819
Proving once again that large warships are vulnerable to missiles and drones. As seen in the Black Sea by the Russians. Which suggests that Donnies’ Pivot to China is too late. He would be better off “doing a Baerbock” and sticking to places that can’t shoot back – although there won’t be many of those left.
Just as battleships lost to airplanes, Carriers will give way to missiles and drones. (Just as a side note, the Russians are using up to 500 drones PER DAY aginst certain villages and towns. Ukraine is trying to do the same.)

Noticing patterns can’t be called “bigotry”.
If you can explain these patterns, I might be willing to change my mind.
@ Arch Bungle | Apr 15 2025 2:51 utc | 239

My bigot-detector is most strongly triggered by the inevitable cowardice and dishonesty of every bigot I’ve ever encountered. I’ve raised a philosophical distinction — anger versus hatred — recently quite traumatic in my own little family: a longtime family friend whose irreversible russophobia illuminated an ugliness I hadn’t known was there.
I do admire Arch’s willingness to engage on this issue, though I never hope or aim to change anyone’s mind. Minds only change from the inside out, and never in my experience from “plain dialectic.” But here goes…
Anger is healthy because it gives us something to do with our arms. Symphony conductors commonly live past a hundred, because they constantly wave their arms around. Hatred, by contrast, might go entirely unnoticed by the hated, while consuming the conscience of the hater — an insidiously slimy character like Uriah Heep, who can’t help hating himself above all, for his introspective sliminess.
Dishonesty is the litmus test for the distinction between anger and hatred, solidarity versus bigotry. The bigot cannot afford honesty, because of his profound shame, secretly seeing himself as an even worse evil-person-type than the demons he decries. My impression of Arch’s work here is that the fall of Syria knocked his consciousness a little sideways, and he’s still finding his footing. As am I.
In the ensuing struggle, his obsessive lists increasingly adopt an insidious subtext. Complete with customary come-and-get-me taunts, such a presentation, overall, leaves a distinct impression. That Arch really means to say All evil comes from Jews, who control everything. The not-so-secret subtext — the only dialectical path available within the dishonest constraints of bigotry. Starting to stink to high heaven of brain rot.
Once hatred is effectively dropped, the mind can find all manner of useful tasks upon which to deploy the little gray cells. Hatred is a physical strain to cling to, sapping our strength as brothers and sisters. Almost invariably, it’s the detritus, the persistent pain, from a profound life-warping hurt.

This is from Sony Thang, a Vietnamese geopolitical analyst.
He is an excellent rhetoritician, IMO. Forgive the length, he gets on a roll and doesn’t relent. Emphasis mine.

The violence unfolding in Gaza is not a deviation from the “rules-based order.”
It is the rule.
It is the system working exactly as designed.
From the founding of the United States, empire has always dressed itself in the language of freedom while expanding through conquest.
The genocide of Native peoples was justified as divine destiny.
The enslavement of Africans was cloaked in racial hierarchy and moral paternalism.
The colonization of the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and beyond was framed as liberation.
Each time, mass death was reframed as necessary.
Resistance was rebranded as terrorism.
And empire—relentless, hungry, self-assured—marched on.
Israel is not separate from this history.
It is a product of it.
From the moment the United States backed Israel’s creation in 1948, it did so not as a neutral broker, but as a settler empire recognizing its reflection.
A small state, planted atop another people’s land, justified by divine promise, and maintained through overwhelming violence.
That’s not an aberration.
That’s the script.
Billions in military aid.
Vetoes at the UN.
Full-spectrum diplomatic cover.
This isn’t support for democracy.
It’s loyalty to the blueprint.
And now, as Gaza burns, the moral foundations of empire are crumbling.
The myth of Western virtue—so carefully packaged, so violently enforced—is collapsing under the weight of its own contradictions.
The world is not confused anymore.
It is bearing witness.

263 – I happened to visit Paris at the weekend and I noticed Zionists had written in large letters graffiti on walls lining a motorway, slogans like “release the hostages from the Hamas terrorists!” What struck me about this is that despite MSM censorship of Zionist crimes, they feel the need to write on walls. This is normally what is done by activist types for relatively unpopular causes with little or no access to the media. The Zionists run the media in the UK and Europe yet feel they have to scribble graffiti on walls about hostages. To me this suggests they are on the defensive and not winning the argument. And they know they are not winning it.

The US is not bombing enough, apparently. I’m so tired of the “news” being about who we are threatening, who we are bombing, who we are going to arm so they can bomb someone in our place………….
Gaza:
——————
The US has approved a new shipment of thousands of bombs for the Israeli Air Force, Hebrew media outlets reported – coming as Tel Aviv is planning to expand its brutal assault on the Gaza Strip.
“The IDF is set to receive a major arms shipment from the United States in the coming weeks, including more than 3,000 munitions for the Israeli Air Force, as part of its preparations for continued operations in the Gaza Strip and a potential strike on Iran,” Ynet said, citing Israeli officials.
The shipment aims to “boost readiness” for a large-scale offensive by the Israeli army’s Southern Command.
Israel is also expected to receive over 10,000 more bombs in the coming months to refill its stocks.
This new arms deal aims to complement a shipment of US MK84 bombs from early this year, when US President Donald Trump unfroze a delivery that had been placed on hold by the former administration in Washington.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced earlier this week that the army is soon going to “vigorously” widen its offensive in Gaza.
Katz also confirmed the Israeli army’s capture of the newly established Morag Corridor, which has cut off the southernmost city of Rafah from the city of Khan Yunis.
Rafah is now completely surrounded by the military, with the 36th Division holding the Morag Corridor and the Gaza Division operating in the Philadelphi Corridor along the Egypt–Gaza border area, the military announced on 12 April.[…]
Tel Aviv plans to include all of Rafah in the buffer zone it has created along the borders of Gaza. The city has been almost completely destroyed by Israeli attacks.
Since the recent renewal and expansion of ground operations in Gaza, Israel has taken over at least 50 percent of the strip’s territory. […].
Israel is also hoping to help coordinate and participate in any potential attack on Iran, which Trump has been threatening despite ongoing nuclear negotiations with the Islamic Republic.

Yemen:
——————–
With US support, UAE proxy militias in Yemen are planning a ground offensive to take the port city of Hodeidah from the Ansarallah-led Yemeni government and armed forces, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on 15 April, in a move that would reignite the country’s devastating civil war.
“Private American security contractors provided advice to the Yemeni factions on a potential ground operation, people involved in the planning said. The United Arab Emirates, which supports these factions, raised the plan with American officials in recent weeks,” the WSJ wrote.
The ground offensive seeks to take advantage of the recent US bombing campaign targeting the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF).
US officials speaking with the newspaper said Washington has launched more than 350 strikes during its current campaign against Yemen and claim that the YAF has been weakened as a result.[…]

“Israel has an accurate estimate of the remaining weapons in the strip, and it knows best that in the military sense there is nothing that can be called a weapon in Gaza, neither in terms of quality nor quantity. Throughout their history of struggle, the Palestinian has been literally making a horizon out of a boot. After an unprecedented two-year war of extermination, the resistance has been exhausted. In some areas, young men fought with knives and clashed with their fists. This is the reality, without embellishment or pretense. Inserting the weapon surrender clause as an entry point for any calm agreement opens the door to debate and manipulation that will not end the war, but will breathe new life into it for years to come, when Ben Gvir negotiates with you over every bullet, gunpowder, and unexploded ammunition, which is what is essentially required, in addition to humiliation and subjugation.
In addition to the above, Israel, and the Arabs behind it, realize that the requirements of the reconstruction phase—if we reach it—will implicitly lead to freezing and postponing any will to act by the resistance for decades, meaning that any weapon, if found like gold in the desert, no one is required to be more Zionist than the Zionists themselves, who adopt the Israeli position in every avenue. They must remember that they are talking about an enemy that wants to uproot us, with or without weapons. An extreme right-wing enemy that sees anyone dancing in a mall in Ramallah as a terrorist enemy that must be expelled, just like anyone carrying a weapon in Gaza, with only a difference in priority and timing.

I am still hopeful that Mahmoud Khalil will prevail on appeal. But the ruling by immigration judge Jamee Comans that she “has no authority” to question Marco Rubio’s (false) allegations is a shocking breach of her duties. Immigration judges are not independent Art. III judges, but they are still bound by the Constitution to uphold rights to due process, equal protection, and free speech in deportation proceedings- all of which have been grossly violated in the Mahmoud case. Whether by fear, favor, or incompetence, this is classic judicial abdication. If judges (even immigration judges) do not defend the rule of law, the next step is full-blown fascism or anarchy. #FreeMahmoudKhalil

Really? I don’t remember learning in law school the part of the constitution that mandates an authoritarian regime in the U.S. empowering the executive branch to annul constitutional rights by decree. I do remember that immigration judges are duty-bound to uphold due process in all deportation proceedings. But maybe you believe the “truth” is whatever Marco Rubio says it is. My sympathies.

Yes, I’ve seen the allegations of “omissions”, which are absurd on their face. They have asserted that Khalil didn’t specify in his application that he intended to (exercise his rights) to participate in demonstrations. No such declaration is required and free expression and assembly are (were) rights in the US. One even alleged that the fact he was an intern at a United Nations agency was unacceptable. (The U.S. is a member of the UN and one of its principal funders). He has not been charged with any crime, with any support for any proscribed groups, nor with any offense to his immigration status.
Voila. The government is persecuting a lawful resident for the crime of exercising his own constitutionally guaranteed human rights in order to defend the human rights of others through free speech and assembly. You are ok with that, and you even chose to defend the human rights violators, presumably because they share your politics. But remember: rights lost to one are lost to all. Don’t be so sure that you are immune from government abuse of power. The knock can come on any door.

“What then is your purpose in compiling these ‘patterns’? Could it be resentment?”
I could not speak for Arch’s motives, however I relate to it as an attempt to understand influences and hierarchy that shape western direction. Hence a search of accountability, foresight, and ultimately the potential ability to be able to interupt or lead away from a social or organisational reality that is destructive or corrupt.
Put another way, people have to have some kind of format to at least doubt or question, to place themselves outside of, what is undoubtedly unwelcome of western (or any other) approach.
If he notices jews, so be it. Others notice UK , or political islam, or US , or human nature or any other myriad of influences or representations.
He will face a lot of opposition, attempts at confusion, and misunderstandings in the process.
It is better that he works from intuition, and theory. Those that are aware of firm detail, when considered credible, end up as Snowden or Assange…or worse…we don’t hear much about those.

The Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces has followed the news received about the new ceasefire proposal, which includes a clause to disarm the resistance and hand over Zionist prisoners to the occupation without any real guarantees to end the war of extermination against our people and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
In this context, the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces emphasizes the following:
1. We reject the logic that exaggerates the primitive weapon of the (victim) intended only for self-defense, at a time when the United States announces the delivery of a large batch of lethal weapons and heavy bombs to the (murderous) occupation, which are being dropped on the heads of our defenseless people.
2. The Gaza Strip represents a security zone for the Arab Republic of Egypt, separating it from the enemy of the Arab nation. The people of the Gaza Strip represent the vanguard of the Egyptian army and its first protector. Egypt also represents strategic depth for the Palestinians.
3. Any truce that lacks real guarantees for an end to the war, a complete withdrawal, lifting the siege, and reconstruction will be a political trap that perpetuates the occupation rather than resisting it. Mediators and the international community must exert pressure on the Zionist occupation, which is historically known for its reneging on all agreements and understandings.
4. There is a major deception operation taking place by focusing on the issue of disarming the victim, while the core of the problem lies in the occupation’s evasion of implementing the three-stage agreement that the Palestinian side agreed to and committed to. The Zionist community itself realizes that Netanyahu is the one who thwarted the ceasefire agreement amid deadly international collusion and silence.

🇵🇸BREAKING: Palestinian Factions Reject Demands for Disarmament, Call New Ceasefire Proposal a “Political Trap”
In a new statement, the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces — which includes Hamas and other Gaza-based factions — condemned the latest ceasefire proposal, saying it demands disarmament of Palestinian resistance while offering no real guarantees to end Israel’s “war of extermination.”
The committee warned that “any ceasefire that lacks real guarantees for an end to the war, a complete withdrawal, lifting the siege, and reconstruction will be a political trap that perpetuates the occupation rather than resisting it.”
They accused the U.S. of arming Israel with “lethal weapons and heavy bombs” while focusing global attention on “the primitive weapon of the victim,” used only in self-defense. The statement also blamed Netanyahu for obstructing a previous three-stage agreement and described the current focus on disarmament as a “major deception operation” meant to deflect from Israel’s refusal to end the war.
The full statement shared on Hamas’ official telegram is below:

Fed Up With Israeli Displacement Orders, Palestinians in Gaza City Refuse to Leave
Over two thirds of Gaza is now either under active displacement orders or within a no-go zone. With no safety or shelter elsewhere, some Palestinians are refusing to leave.
Rasha Abou jalal
Apr 16, 2025
GAZA CITY—On April 11, the Israeli military issued orders to tens of thousands of Palestinians in eastern Gaza City—including the neighborhoods of Shujaiya, Zeitoun, and Tuffah— forcing them to relocate to areas on the western side of the city. The orders were the latest salvo in a scorched earth military campaign that Israel resumed on March 18 that has killed over 1,600 Palestinians, including over 500 children.
Since March 18, Israel has issued at least twenty-four displacement orders in cities and towns across Gaza, including in areas of Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, al-Nuseirat, and Khan Younis. On March 31, Israel issued an order for almost all of Rafah, the southernmost governorate. Over 400,000 Palestinians have been newly displaced in less than a month.
As it stands, over two thirds of Gaza is either under active displacement orders or within a no-go zone—sometimes referred to as a kill zone. Yet, in some neighborhoods under displacement orders, some residents are refusing to leave, opting to remain in their homes and face the assault instead of being displaced again to areas that lack shelter and which nonetheless continue to be targeted by the Israeli military.

The heavy level of censorship alone strongly suggests that two carriers have been heavily damaged and several escorts have been sunk. There have been reports of a third aircraft carrier battle group having been “engaged”.
If any of you have URLs for photos or videos of the carrier battle groups taking hits please link to them.

There were many people after World War II that claimed “We didn’t know!” And we could appreciate that that was true in many instances. Just as often it seemed to be a case of “We didn’t want to know.”
And I thank you and I both know that an unknown but huge number of those people were just lying. They knew. And just like today they were silent if they weren’t cheering it on.
So if a lot of us understood this, it’s good to see he now understands it. My intent wasn’t to question is truthfulness.
What I’m getting at is that this is a shallow understanding. Human Nature is not all that great, sure.
I read a lot of expert geopolitical opinion year and on other media. Far in excess of my own.
However I don’t consider any of that to be addressing root causes. The biological imperatives, biases and brain architecture that determines how we think and act. And how little Free Will has to do with it.
I see society as an emergent phenomena grounded in the village more fundamentally in the familial structure. Though you’d want to limit that to mammals. Whoever we share a lot of DNA with both insects and primordial life.
I imagine murderous ex lovers hate each other to the same extent that these combatants do. I see a connection there.
As a species, and that includes all of us here, we are a genocidal by Nature. You can rationalize that in terms of biology easy enough. Is that his understanding?
While and that is mine, that is a painfully simplistic understanding and more grounded in beliefs and ideology than it is in science.
Be that as it may. I “feel” it is correct.

The Houthis claim the successful shelling of the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman “Harry Truman”
Over the past few days, the Western coalition has been carrying out massive airstrikes in Yemen. To this end, the USS Harry S. Truman and several British destroyers entered the Red Sea.
According to Houthi reports, as a result of a missile attack late on Wednesday, at least an aircraft carrier was damaged, on which a fire broke out.
Earlier, the Houthis fired at the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln “Abraham Lincoln” and several smaller vessels. Although the US Navy declares every time that the ships were not damaged by Houthi missiles, in such cases their vessels always sail away from the coast of Yemen towards their ports and are not shown to the public for inspection.

As for the Houthi cry, it has become global.
It is repeated by many Arab and Islamic peoples.

Scientific arrogance: America, Britain, and Israel
In spite of the legitimacy of the hotel-loving Maashiq, the 7/7 gang
War merchants, oil company brokers
And their southern followers and their national security, Al-Afashi
Who persisted in open hostility to killing and starving
And the humiliation of the southern people in their liberated land
I will tell you more, a verse that is also repeated by leaders.
And the sheikhs of Yafa, Ad Dali’ and Radfan at every moment
In the north, they have become rulers of the government today.
Ansar Allah Houthis in the capital, Sana’a
God is great a thousand times, death to America a thousand times
Death to Israel a thousand times, damn the Jews
A thousand times, victory for Islam a thousand times, repeat it
A source of pride for every Yemeni Arab Muslim, and only the lackeys of America, Israel, and the lackeys of global Zionism will feel sorry for it.
This is the state of affairs of the tribes and free men of the south.
Sheikh Abu Zaid Al-Marfadi Al-Yafei, my greetings

Desist, Aleph; desist. There are persecuted Christians among the persecuted Palestinians. There are Jews who advocate for the Palestinian cause. You need to stop these broadbased, unfounded accusations because you are not making sense. The world is full of sympathizers for the Palestinian cause. Don’t trample on anyone’s beliefs; it doesn’t help.
Maybe step away for a bit, the issue is tragic and we need perspective to face the horrors. For some of us, prayer helps. For some it doesn’t. Don’t be hard on yourself, first of all. These are terrible times; they will not last. They are an aberration.
Whatever is good, do that, even if it is a small thing; then do the next small thing. Remember the zen belief – anything, any good thought or action affects the whole world like the stirring of a butterfly’s wing. It will count.
Take care.

Big tough guy walks out of a bar.
Four year old kid happens to be wandering in the street.
Big tough guy starts kicking the shit out of four year old kid.
Kid decides to fight back, takes a huge tetanus bite out of big tough guy’s leg.
Big tough guy starts yelling about infection and calling for help.
Police and ambulance show up trying to pull the kid off big tough guy.
beat the kid almost senseless but not enough to stop him nipping someone in the ass with his teeth sometimes.
Idiot on the sidelines screams “YEAH! Big Tough Guy Won! Fight’s over! Four year old kid is done for! Yooo hoo!”
Listen, cunt.
This is not a sports match. There’s no letting go.

I think Caitlin writes her own headlines:
Saying It’s Antisemitic To Oppose Genocide Is Like Saying It’s Anti-Catholic To Oppose Pedophilia
Caitlin walks on holy ground; our most beloved antipodean bodhisatva of AEWROFL (attaining enlightment while rolling on the floor laughing).

I want to introduce you all to a Palestinian-Dutch photographer, Sakir Khader, whose exhibition in Amsterdam I visited yesterday.
Images from his documentary about the death and funeral of the seven Palestinian young men, that the exhibition is about, will stay with me forever. Especially the gestures of affection and desperate grief of the male mourners, their family, friends, neighbours, comrades.
Such documentaries need to be shown on all televisions in the world so humanity can confront the true, full senselessness and waste of hatred and war.
Khader is the first Palestinian Magnum photographer.
Please see his Magnum page, where you will also find some of his work currently exhibited in the Photo Museum Amsterdam (FOAM).
