A reconnaissance force from the United States military accompanied by hundreds of fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Free Army (SFA) had entered al-Dumayr Air Base close to the Syrian capital, Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on March 31.
The air base, one of the largest and most fortified in Syria, is located some 40 kilometers to the northeast of Damascus and just under 20 kilometers to the east of the strategic M5 highway leading to the capital….
….In its report, the SOHR said that the U.S. was planning to take over al-Dumayr and turn it into a base for its forces. The new Syrian military and the SDF would later launch joint operations against ISIS cells in the Syrian desert from the air base, the London-based monitoring group added.

EXCLUSIVETrump is about to bomb Iran: Top Israeli sources reveal planned attack on nuclear sites and deliver chilling ‘war is coming’ warning – DAN HODGES

This morning the world’s focus is on Donald Trump’s decision to launch a global trade war. But in a few weeks’ time, the man who last month pledged to deliver ‘peace through strength’ is planning to embark on a real war.
I’m currently in Tel Aviv, and according to several senior political, military and diplomatic sources, the United States and Israel are preparing to launch a strike on Iran that will finally eradicate the threat posed by the country’s nuclear weapons programme.

There’s no real way for israel and the US to win this exchange

– Israel, as of yet, has no plan or concept of how or where to displace two million persons from Gaza, let alone what to do with the even larger population contained within the West Bank which, according to the more vocal members of Israel’s coalition government, is next in the displacement line.
– These same vocal members of the coalition are letting on that the main reason Israel continues ceasefire violations in the south of Lebanon is because an occupation (or absorption) of the territory up to the Litani River remains the operative goal.
– Israel’s coalition government’s new budget represents wartime austerity measures, with deep cuts to programs associated with civil society and large increases in “security” spending. There is no anticipation of when this imbalance may end, with the more fanatical political representatives foreseeing an indefinite future of war-making, occupation, and emergency decrees. This with an already deeply polarized population and major crises in divisions of power.
– A recent poll found upwards of 40% of Israelis were at least considering leaving the region themselves.
– The American government has repeatedly demonstrated that it has internalized zionist narratives and lacks the capacity for rational judgement or reflection. Yet it expects, after inflicting humiliation and destruction across the region, that everything will regardless become “normal”.
– Accordingly, the hegemonic “last stand” scheduled for the South China Sea will instead play out in the Mid-East, as Israel traps its patron in escalatory dynamics where the accumulation of hubris will result either in a major defeat or a pyrric “victory”. That 40% of Israel’s population will then leave and a “one-state” multi-denominational solution will prevail. Maybe.

The question is do the ZioNazis know that? Or do the narcissistic, megalomaniacal psychopaths running this shitshow understand it?
Trying to apply rational thinking to cornered, irrational crazies tends not to work very well.

Before that the US needs to isolate China, strip it of its allies… so, it’s un-uniting Russia & China, getting rid of Iran etc. Oh, and the tariffs are just another part of shaping of the battlefield. Just look at 1930: it caused a global depression which made countries like Japan start looking for new markets & resources in China. Oh, and in Germany it was “our last hope Hitler”…

LOL I’ve long said that Trump needs a pretext to actually bomb Iran. A new 9/11 if you will.
Until that happens, I can’t see this “EXCLUSIVE” scoop being true. The economy is in the shitter at the moment. Prices are only going to rise. I can definitely empathize with folks like @canuck who have long positions on gold and other precious metals. I don’t 100% share their philosophy, but I always empathize with a lucky or prescient position taken by a person who isn’t in power to alter markets (like Trump or the Fed or Nancy Pelosi for examples). But my own 401k is in the shitter and that puts me in a better place than millions of non-stock holding Americans who are now paying $12 for a dozen decent eggs. Only going to get worse.
War with Iran…right NOW…would be an absolute economic disaster, not to mention a humanitarian one likely not confined to Persia or “Israel”.

Happy Liberation Day, America!
Your 401k has been liberated from the past, unburdened of unrealized capital gains. It is now free to embrace the future. The future will have fewer digits.
You’re welcome,
Don

Today I was for the second time in my life asked to comply with a Facial Recognition process in order to get paid for temporary employment.
The fact that Big Brother owns every single one of us, and can , and will, use this technology to eliminate all Palestinians and anybody who supports them, is probably why there is so little public protest.
The bigger question about Trump’s threats against Iran are overshadowed by the ability of USUKIS to use this technology against Iran’s banking and civil infrastructure, as it has done in Gaza.
Equally, China has completely infiltrated the entirety of the ‘West’.
The nutters in charge in USUKIS don’t believe their own capability to do regime change in Iran, even in conjunction with selective bombing.
It is indeed psyops, and psyops is a two way conversation, not just one drugged , Orange, Tazmanian Potus demanding banditry at the point of a nuclear weapon.

Absolutely. I’m not “Roger” at SONAR21, but sounds like I agree with him. Israel will generate the false flag in a big way. Trump will dutifully comply with the orders to attack Iran. A large percentage of Americans will be 100% duped by it and due to their near complete lack of geopolitical or just cross-cultural awareness, will sign up for the fight in a great wave of “patriotism.”

I presume this is Amaranth’s Middle East/West Asia thread posting since it’s from her Global South website and no other author is given:

We can list atrocities daily, one by one, pages full, including a young child cut in two pieces and the combined image of fetuses killed in the womb, and the images of burning tents over the heads of those that have no place to go … forcible displacements, torture; the list goes on.
We can say and lament again, where is the world? Or we can simply breathe and continue. Last evening, I prepared a simple dinner for us: braised chicken, a simple potato salad, and mixed vegetables. I looked at my tasty and well-presented meal and wished I could hand it to Gaza across the ocean.
No amount of understanding of the geopolitical issues of the Ukraine war, and the stance of China, and that of Iran, and the other regional countries, the BRICS, the SCO and others, will allow me to give anyone a pass. We support you and your governments, but unfortunately, you are not equal to that support today, and I question our love, as you are doing nothing from a state level to end a modern genocide perpetrated with modern weapons of war.
Your legal stance for international law falls apart because the law states that if you see a genocide and you do not act, you are complicit.
Is it only Ansarallah that actually understands this? Is your law unequal to the task of supporting Ansarallah, who, for their trouble and correct understanding, just lost their water plants for hundreds and thousands of people?
You are equally responsible for genocide because of your inaction. Russia, stop negotiating with the perpetrators and call them out! China, your strong words at the UNSC are so much mist that it disappears when the light of day shines. Boycott, divest, and sanction and take some of your new spiffy planes and thousands of cargo ships, break the Gaza blockade, and let the people receive aid.
BRICS on the level that we saw with their latest so-called joint statement? Meh! [My Emphasis]

Hard to disagree with her rant. Unfortunately, it will go unheard for as she stated inaction equals complicity. Russia claims its SMO’s aim was to stop the Genocide in Donbass, yet the Gaza genocide is far more overt and openly confessed to by the Zionists and has murdered many more people. During WW2, the Allies claimed they knew nothing about the Nazi death camps, but their archives proved those statement to be lies. There was an alliance with the Zionists to refuse Jewish refugees and redirect them to Palestine. And we know oh so much more. Clearly, only the “small people” have the will and ability to defend other “small people” while the “Big People” turn up their noses and look the other way. What would Mao think of his Chinese now becoming “Big People”?

I sympathize with that argument. It is emotional and illogical.
By that rationale, the author needs to go attack a US embassy and kidnap some Americans as leverage to protect Palestinians.
Everyone has to answer their conscience. Putin can’t take all Russians (many whom are Israeli) to war against Israel while they are trying to defeat NATO.
The Chinese only resort to violence as an absolute last resort.
Russia and China are serving the Palestinians by standing with the Iranians and giving America a lot to think about in the global economy and Ukraine.
The problem with international law, like the ICC and ICJ, is that there is no one to enforce their rulings or rules.
Laws without enforcement are performative, not substantive.
Like a parent who tries to discipline an unruly child without any threat of consequences.

Thank you for sharing that Karlof1.
I agree with her and I agree with you. There are many more of us than are easily visible.
We have a right to expect more of those with power, a human right expressed both through the UN charters and the convention against genocide.
We must continue to do whatever we can no matter how embarrassed or awkward or dejected it may make us feel. We must also live and not defeat ourselves. We must support each other and everyone everywhere who share the outrage against the genocide and be kinder despite whatever might ordinarily separate us.
Even tiny grains will eventually wear down mountains.
Seeing someone with a sign can be enough for two people to discover they share the same general opinion, it happened to me in a taxi ride nearly two weeks ago. Maybe it stops there but maybe it doesn’t, maybe it happens thousands of times each day, maybe tens of thousands or more, maybe it builds and inspires! Maybe at some point somewhere it is that little thing that finally results in something bigger.
I say this because the people we drove by would have no way of knowing (they started the conversation, they were long behind us as it continued).
My excellent cabbie said he had to turn off the radio before he picked me up because he couldn’t stand to listen to the news (about Gaza etc.) any more. That is perfectly fine, he already knew, he needed the emotional break, the respite. We eventually managed to talk about nicer things, that was what he needed and maybe I did too. But we know, we will always know.
Don’t give up. Don’t burn out. Survive, continue 🙂

“I sympathize with that argument. It is emotional and illogical.

That is a ‘way out’ interpretation of what the post was saying.
These countries are not taking a stance, not calling out obvious acts as contrary to all convention, are not isolating “Israel” for its actions, are not making any motion to try to supply relief to the Palestinians.
The use of force is secondary, essentialy cannot be obligatory, and would be understood if not used. The questions raised were not about the use of force, however, and so how you managed to redirect its meaning to that lacks explanation.

Remember when Rafah was Biden’s red line?
——————
CAIRO/GAZA (Reuters) -Hundreds of thousands of fleeing Gazans sought shelter on Thursday in one of the biggest mass displacements of the war, as Israeli forces advanced into the ruins of the city of Rafah, part of a newly announced “security zone” they intend to seize.
A day after declaring their intention to capture large swathes of the crowded enclave, Israeli forces pushed into the city on Gaza’s southern edge which had served as a last refuge for people fleeing other areas for much of the war.
Gaza’s health ministry reported at least 97 people killed in Israeli strikes in the past 24 hours, including at least 20 killed in an airstrike around dawn in Shejaia, a suburb of Gaza City in the north. [Update: Number killed is at least 112 in the past 24 hours.]
Later on Thursday, an Israeli airstrike killed at least 27 Palestinians, including women and children, inside a school building that served as a shelter for displaced families in Gaza City, local health authorities said. The Israeli military said the attack hit key Palestinian “terrorists.”
Medics said three missiles slammed into the Dar Al-Arqam school building in Tuffah neighbourhood in Gaza City, and the Israeli military said it struck a command centre that had been used by militants to plan and execute attacks against Israeli civilians and army troops.
Rafah “is gone, it is being wiped out,” a father of seven among the hundreds of thousands who had fled from Rafah to neighbouring Khan Younis, told Reuters via a chat app.[…]
Israel has not spelled out its long-term aims for the security zone its troops are now seizing. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said troops were taking an area he called the “Morag Axis”, a reference to an abandoned former Israeli settlement between Rafah and Khan Younis.
Gazans who had returned to homes in the ruins during the ceasefire have now been ordered to flee communities on the northern and southern edges of the strip.
They fear Israel’s intention is to depopulate those areas indefinitely, leaving many hundreds of thousands of people permanently homeless while Israel seizes some of Gaza’s last agricultural land and critical water infrastructure.[…]
Rafah residents said most of the local population had followed Israel’s order to leave, as Israeli strikes toppled buildings there. But a strike on the main road between Khan Younis and Rafah stopped most movement between the two cities.
Movement of people and traffic along the western coastal road near Morag was also limited by bombardment.
“Others stayed because they don’t know where to go, or got fed up of being displaced several times. We are afraid they might be killed or at best detained,” said Basem, a resident of Rafah who declined to give a second name.

Trump is sad that bad things happen in Gaza. Trump says a lot of people die there. Trump says it’s a shame. Trump has invited Netanyahu to visit the White House again – in the next week or so – in order for the two of them to see what they can do about Gaza. Trump says Gaza is a very important “thing”. Trump does not seem sure why Gaza has been under siege for many years, nor is Trump sure just who is doing the sieging, but he is sure Gaza is a problem that he and Netanyahu can do something about:
—————-
Speaking on Air Force One, US President Donald Trump says Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will soon visit Washington for talks on the dire situation in Gaza.
“I spoke to him today, in fact, and I think he’s going to come to our country in the not-so-distant future, maybe next week,” Trump told reporters.
“We’re going to try and solve the Gaza problem, it’s been a big, big problem for many decades. If you notice hostages are being released now, and that’s happened only since I got involved. I’d like to get as many hostages as we can.”
Trump described Gaza as a “very important thing”.
“It’s been under siege for many years. It’s a shame. A lot of people die in Gaza. A lot of bad things happen in Gaza. We’ll see what we can do about it.”

So we need to consider not only the usual M.O.’s of the perps, but also how to whomp up the mood of a still remaining majority of Murrikkkans to catch the war fever. How bout those two fat aircraft carriers up the top of the Red Sea, each with about 5,000 sailors of both sexes these daze.

Trump had agreed to indirect negotiations Iran sent a team; Trump reneged.
This is the latest I’ve seen on Iran negotiations, from earlier today:
Middle East Spectator – MES
Middle East Spectator – MES
— So, the Americans walked back some of their earlier demands. It seems we will engage in indirect negotiations and just try to drag them out as long as possible, with no result. If we’re smart, we’d work on nukes in the meantime. In any case, the outcome…
— 🇺🇸/🇮🇷 For those who don’t know, the Iranian demands for a new Nuclear Deal with the U.S. are basically the following:
1. The deal must be an official treaty, ratified by U.S. Congress, so that a future American President cannot unilaterally withdraw (like Trump did).
2. Before any negotiations begin, the U.S. must remove sanctions on Iran’s medical sector and others. After the deal is signed, there must be FULL sanctions relief, meaning all sanctions have to be removed, not just a few.
3. In case of a U.S. withdrawal from the deal, Iran has the right to engage an immediate ‘snap-back’ clause: Installing advanced centrifuges and beginning rapid enrichment of uranium and increasing the stockpile.
4. Iran must be allowed to reconnect to the SWIFT payment system, in order to perform international transactions.
5. Iran will be allowed to keep its nuclear program, including advanced enrichment for ‘research purposes’.
6. There will be no negotiations or limitations on Iran’s ballistic missile program or support for regional groups.
7. Iran’s financial assets that have been frozen abroad must be released.
If any of these points are not agreed to, the likelihood of a new Nuclear Deal is extremely unlikely. Many of these clauses are the result of distrust due to previous U.S. betrayal.

One possibility of the publicizing the “coming bombing” of Iran is that the spies on the ground and by satellites are looking what and from where people and hardware to where are moving, – for future “smaller”, more targeted bombings, or sabotage acts.
Otherwise, it is heartbreaking how little people on the whole are able to do, or willing to do, for fear of economic consequences in their lives. Only single young people have more courage in that respect.
The “liberation day” may be the beginning of the end of the US economic prowess and this will be the end of the state of Israel, which will not help the tragedy of Palestinians today or tomorrow, but in some farther time.

I swear I saw a tweet about a Chinese military leader saying they were totally behind Russia. I can’t find it again, and haven’t seen mention of it all day.
The Chinese keep their cards close to the chest and rarely make a public commitment. If what I think I saw was accurate, it would have been talked about all day, although tariff mania has been sucking up most of the oxygen online.
I do believe the gravity of what will happen if Trump engages Iran has been made clear to him. The Axis isn’t messing around.
Trump fired two people from the NSC today, IIRC. Maybe they can be the scapegoats for leading him into this situation, and he can save face by blaming Biden/Neocon advisors.
The stock market crashing probably helped cool Trump’s heels. Starting a Middle Eastern war with oil on the line that could detonate the global economy, and IMO, tariffs are Trump trying to get leverage where he had none. He isn’t ready to take it all the way (yet).

The British Labour Party after the ousting of Jeremy Corbyn by Kier Starmer is a Zionist Party , as was Tony Blair and his War on Islam before.
The US wouldn’t have invaded Iraq without Blair’s Zionist input. Britain’s Geopolitical Interests lie with Russia and Europe, not with Israel and the US.
BoJo instigated the war in Ukraine to weaken Russia, but this fatuous project has only made Russia stronger.
Starmer has used British troops in Syria to assist Islamic State , now called HTS, which was originally founded by Saudi Arabia, CIA, and trained by Israel in Jordan before attacking Mosul.
CIA mercenaries from Sunni Kurdistan who had fled Saddam Hussain to Iran were sent to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. The CIA eventually lost Afghanistan, as it will also , inevitably , lose Israel.
The malicious entity driving all these wars is the European Jewish, Revisionist Zionist, Ukrainian and Polish, Neocons.
Their thesis is neither Islam nor Zionism, but Nazism. Zionism is not in the interests of Jews or Israelis. Islamism is not in the interests of Islam or Muslims.
So long as the respected MoA karlof1 diverts the blog’s attention from the Nazism that is driving USUKIS politics, we all continue to speculate about the Israeli genocide, how it can be allowed to happen.
In short , the reactionary citizens of the US have adopted Zionism , the destruction of Palestine, as the nearest approximation to Nazism, the World Hegemony to which they aspire.
The reactionary citizens of Muslim Asia have also adopted Jihadist Islamism , the destruction of the colonial Europe, as the nearest approximation to the type of World Hegemony to which they aspire.
This is not called Nazism, but it uses all the same methods as Nazism, Terror, Spying, Sectarian Hate.
The banality of evil. Churchgoers and Mosquegoers united in the destruction of an innocent scapegoat, Palestine.
It’s as primitive and sacrificial as that. Two vast communities actively celebrating passive Stone Age , Pagan rituals of human slaughter.
International Law needs to work with Russia and China to fund an opposition to this disease of World Domination (Nazism) and this disease of ritual hunan sacrifice.

Usually it doesn’t matter wether the U.S loses or wins a war – their elites profit regardless.
The US only starts wars where the penalties are below a certain threshold in terms of economic cost.
A war with Iran will sink the U.S, U.K and E.U economy – probably permanently.
It will sink the economy for the elites and the peasants alike.
It is for this reason that the U.S will not *directly* initiate a war with Iran.

When do we stop only blaming the leaders of colonized Palestine’s nearest neighbors and start putting blame on the populations too? For 18 months Israel has been slaughtering Palestinians. The homes have been destroyed and now they are burning people in their tents. The populations of Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are all watching and doing nothing. No humanitarian aid has been allowed in. What were these people praying for during Ramadan? All three countries are helping Israel bypass North Yemen’s blockade.
People have been saying only the traitorous Arab leaders support Israel but maybe the majority of the people in these countries do too. 10s of children being slaughtered every single day and nothing from these people. No demonstrations to stop the land bridges from Saudi Arabia and Jordan to Israel. No sabotages. All the food getting rotten on the Egyptian border and the population is just watching it. No demonstrations at the border everyday.
May God curse these bastards.

What if I told you that in the 20th century, Western Elites unlocked ways to mass indoctrinate people’s minds?
ISIS, HTS, Ukrainian Nazis, the Taiwanese have all been subject to Western brainwashing in the last 70 years.
That doesn’t absolve them, but they didn’t emerge accidentally into this world. MI6 and the CIA have been developing Chinese and Central Asian Muslim terrorists for a long time.
You and I know that what ISIS and HTS do is haram. Killing outside of self-defense is strictly prohibited. It is one of the worst sins.
Surah Al-Ma’idah – 32

That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life—unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land—it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.

The reason why HTS hunts Christians and Alawites is that they have been brainwashed.
Sadly, it is remarkably easy to brainwash people. You will notice that very few Muslim terrorists are highly educated or persons of knowledge in Islam. They are fringe cases that have been indoctrinated into believing that killing for the West is a holy mission. There is always a cult of personality around a leader. As soon as a leader is killed, another assumes the mantle to maintain the continuity of the group.
The West tried to do that to the Chechens, and Putin was able to turn them around by helping to build a cult of personality around Ramzan Kadyrov’s late father, Akhmat Kadyrov. “Akhmat Sila!” (Akhmat power) is the slogan all Chechen warriors say. The Chechens have become warriors for Russia instead of against Russia.
This applies to the Ukrainian Nazis as well. Theirs is Norse mythology (mystical/existential component), white supremacy, forced homo sex, and drugs used to control and manipulate people’s minds.
Bear in mind, these aren’t just murderers. They are rapists and torturers. Their psyches have been destroyed, IMO.
Now, think about the people running Gitmo, Abu Ghraib, and Israeli prisons. Mental illness breeds more mental illness. It takes a sick person to bomb children, to mutilate prisoners, and to rape them. It’s not enough to say that Westerners commit war crimes. They are damaged human beings, IMO.
Putin thinks he can amend the Ukrainian Constitution. More likely he is going to need to hunt down and kill Ukrainian Nazis all over the West until they cannot exist with any amount of social organization.

To everyone who is frustrated about various institutions and governments not stepping in.
You have to be the change in the world. You don’t need to kowtow to the Zionists. You can help document their war crimes, you can help organize ideas for when the Palestinian state is finally created.
I had an idea the other day that someone should start growing olive trees so that they can be transported and planted in the Levant when the Zionists are gone. Maybe pomegranate too.
Someone very enterprising could probably register a charity to do it. Be warned, any kind of state registration may be a huge liability. The Zionists control all Western governments, as Viktor Orban reminded us today.
They will need school books, clothes, shoes, tablets, watches, etc. Hair brushes, miswaks, towels. They will have almost nothing on Day 1.
We don’t know when a Palestinian state will come to be, but we can act as though it is an inevitable and done deal. That sort of positive energy will be much more productive than posting multiple times every day about how many people have been martyred.
Stay future-oriented and hopeful.

True but I have a different take on it.
International organizations, starting from UN, have bean a mean, for the west, to gold plate their bad actions under the ‘international law’.
Colin Powell’s show at the UN, comes to mind.
Same goes for ICC, condemning Putin was woowed by all the west, while Netanyau, while condemned, is free to flight to Ungary, and all EU and will be praised for that.
Today the west has substantially lost control over this organizations, so they are starting to dismantle them.
They are no more useful for the empire.

As for Iran, there’s no reason for USReal to manipulate or scheme a “false flag” to “drag the US” into war. Or for “public consensus”. When you think of the “pagers”, massacres, blockade and willy nilly bombing of every nation around USReal with zero accountability and the fact that USReal simply has impunity with the U.S., no matter what horrendous acts they commit, I submit that the mask of a “false flag” is hardly needed.
In the US, apparently all is needed for public support is some Zionazi to vehemently echo the word: “Kaamas” and repeatedly remind its citizens Iran is the lynchpin of all evil in the world and people start clapping.
No, the only reason to date that USReal hasn’t directly attacked Iran, via false flag or otherwise, is the knowledge that they would be destroyed.
After considering the resistance groups, there appears to be a unity among them and a plan.
Let USReal have confidence and proceed as masters in the ME, let them become so confident in their endeavors that they, as Iran would say “make a mistake”. US already reacting by heavily bombing Yemen, costing billions of dollars, moving all kinds of military hardware around, more millions.
There is nothing in this trajectory that is sustainable for the US. The only end to this war, is the economic end of the US. Russia & Iran are absolutely bleeding the coffers and military hardware across the board. The recent “tariff Liberation”, which is simply a massive tax of its own citizens, show the coffers are depleted and the world will not follow their “reset” of a global digitalized system controlled by the U.S. Fed.
It appears to me that all the resistance groups are holding tight to their weapons, hardware & fighting forces to deliver the final on the ground blow when US/USReal confidence reaches maximum assurance, as it appears they’re getting there, and need a bit more assurance to : “make a mistake”.

A demo about Palestine could turn into a demo about food prices, resentment of the government etc. etc. Even in the UK there are attempts to discourage demos, and it isn’t because the authorities think it might spill over into major unrest. How much more vulnerable are these others?

Israel has turned two-thirds of Gaza into no-go zones, UN says
The latest displacement orders in Rafah and Gaza City have forced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to flee again.
Israel has now restricted Palestinians’ access to roughly two-thirds of Gaza, either by declaring large areas as no-go zones or issuing forced displacement orders, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Among the restricted areas is a large swath of southern Rafah, where Israel’s military issued a new displacement order on March 31, declaring it was returning to “fight with great force”.
[…] The military push follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threat to intensify the offensive to pressure Hamas into further concessions.
“We are now dividing the Strip and we are increasing pressure step by step so they will give us our hostages,” Netanyahu said in a video message on Wednesday.
On Friday, Israeli forces continued devastating aerial attacks, killing at least 30 people since dawn, according to local medical sources and Gaza’s civil defence agency. This followed an intense day of bombardment on Thursday that left 112 dead – many of them women and children.
Conditions inside Gaza City’s al-Ahli Hospital, also known as the Baptist Hospital, where many victims in the north were taken, are “nothing short of apocalyptic,” Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud said after visiting the facility. […]

The Trump administration moved forward with the sale of more than 20,000 US-made assault rifles to Israel last month, according to a document seen by Reuters and a source familiar with the matter, pushing ahead with a sale that the administration of former president Joe Biden had delayed over concerns they could be used by extremist Israeli settlers.
The State Department sent a notification to Congress on 6 March for the $24 million sale, saying the end user would be the Israeli National Police, according to the document.
The rifle sale is a small transaction next to the billions of dollars worth of weapons that Washington supplies to Israel. But it drew attention when the Biden administration delayed the sale over concerns that the weapons could end up in the hands of Israeli settlers, some of whom have carried out attacks on Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

Lebanon is facing increased pressure from the US in the form of an ultimatum to either disarm Hezbollah by force within a specified time period, or face a renewed Israeli war against the country, according to Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar.
US envoy to the region Morgan Ortagus, who praised Israel’s war against Lebanon during a speech at the Lebanese presidential palace in February, is expected to visit Lebanon in the next two days.
This visit “carries a US message demanding the initiation of a plan to disarm Hezbollah as a condition for all other issues, from [Israeli] withdrawal to reconstruction,” Al-Akhbar reported on 3 April.
“Threatening messages have been reaching officials that deviate from the framework of UN Resolution 1701 and carry suicidal proposals for Lebanon,” sources told the newspaper.
According to the report, officials feel cornered and unable to circumvent US–Israeli pressure, which is pushing Lebanon to accept one of two options: “disarming [Hezbollah] by force, which would mean an internal conflict, or a new large-scale Israeli war to disarm it,” the report goes on to say.
The sources reveal there is a possibility of a new Israeli army operation against Lebanon.
“Israel will launch a military operation within a specific timeframe, and that the Americans have given the green light for it. It is unknown whether this will occur after Ortagus’s visit or whether she will delay her visit until after the operation is carried out,” they said.
They added that Lebanon as a whole is “living in a state of fear.” […]

I’m now reading Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian about a gang of serial mass murderers from the USA who rampage through northern Mexico in 1849. They are known as “the Americans” and are mounted on stolen horses and armed with the latest Colt revolvers and swoop down on Indian and Mexican villages killing, raping and plundering.
The parallels with Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians are numerous. “The Americans” adorn themselves with human scalps, ears, fingers and bones to show their pride in their work and to induce fear. The modern version of this behavior is the IOF killers making and sharing videos of their atrocities. “The Americans” take scalps and the Israelis harvest vital organs of their victims.
It’s surreal to read a chapter of Blood Meridian and then to to the computer and read the MOA Palestine thread because the rampages are so similar. In thinking of the book, sometimes I wonder was that particular disgusting atrocity in 1849 Mexico or 2025 Gaza.
I’m only halfway through the book but I can see McCarthy delving into the roots of zionism. We give zionism too much credit when we talk about it having religious or philosophical roots. It has more to do with absolute power corrupting absolutely.

Iran poses no threat to you or your country.
The Houthis pose no threat to you or your country.
Hamas poses no threat to you or your country.
Hezbollah poses no threat to you or your country.
They only pose a threat to a genocidal apartheid state which does not deserve to exist.

Mary, why are you in Tel Aviv?
That terrorist child-murdering state “israel” was legally and morally illegitimate from its inception. It must be disarmed and permanently disbanded, with every member of the child-murdering forces (“idf” and “iaf”), knesset, cabinet, and “police” convicted and executed under international law.
Nobody decent should be in “israel” unless you are attacking the child-murderers or trying to bring food, water, medicine, clothes, fuel to the malnourished and degraded Pale#tinian people.
So why are you in Tel Aviv?

Interesting that you mentioned Ras Tanura.
I went and had a look on marine traffic site to see how many ships were in the vicinity, and there is an oil tanker (V Prosperity) which has a fire fighting vessel (Najmah) alongside, where it is moored east of the main port.
I’m not sure if this is standard practice with transfers, or something is amiss.
I just thought it curious.
Freedom for Palestine! …and Yemen!

Wtf? If you are addressing me, I am in Maine US. Robbed of much of my life savings by my lying government, unable to move thanks to zionist realtor Remax, I survive on social security.
But still manage to give monthly to Red Crescent, Hind Rajab Org, & various gofundmes.
Who are tou & what in the world makes you think I live in Tel Aviv? (Which, btw, is the last place I would move to if I could leave!)

In @3 Mary you might use quotes or block, because the text reads as if you are saying you are in “Israel”.
That is, if you posted @3 Mary.

I feel some comments do not appreciate:
Hamas and Hezbollah have not been defeated, and retain the ability to resist (Hamas) and attack (Hezbollah)
Yemen has been bombarded heavily for the last 10 years, a couple more weeks of US massacres will not be effective at anything but generating resupply contracts.
Iran and Israel are in a MAD scenario.
Russia sees Israel as a card to be flipped their direction; not an opponent.
Turkey is the strongest military in the region.

US is burning through its munition in Yemen, leaving it without precision weapons to confront China
– US already emptied much of its weapon stockpiles after 3 years of proxy war against Russia
– Now US needs antimony and other rare earth metals from China to rearm to fight China

“South Korean News Agency: The United States and South Korea have agreed to temporarily transfer Patriot air defense batteries from South Korea to the Middle East.”
You brought the following to mind that I saw skimming Telegram recently:
“A massive U.S. military airlift operation is underway.
Over the past three days, more than 16 U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft have landed at Osan Air Base in South Korea before continuing to Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the cargo includes advanced air defense systems — potentially Patriot missile batteries — being repositioned as the region braces for further escalation.”

-“The Humanitarian Coordinator for the Palestinian Territories:
What is happening in the Gaza Strip violates humanity and law. Over the past few days, 100,000 people have been evacuated from Rafah.
We cannot access 64% of Gaza’s areas, and there is no safe place. Humanitarian aid has not entered the Gaza Strip for a month, and the humanitarian crisis is spiraling out of control.
Political action is necessary to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. 200,000 people have been displaced within the Gaza Strip since the collapse of the ceasefire agreement.”
-“Gaza Municipality: The Mekorot pipeline supplying some areas of the city has been shut down. This pipeline constitutes 70% of the water supply available to the city’s residents and displaced persons.”

The Palestinians are saying their good-byes. The Israelis are bombing so thoroughly now that nobody thinks they will live through this.
Some of the tweets and messages from this article are pasted below. What is wrong with so many humans that this is happening? I can only think that we have become completely corrupt and terminally indifferent to life itself.

Palestinians are posting final messages and letters of farewell on social media, expressing their fear they will not survive amid the intensity of Israel’s carpet bombing of the Gaza Strip.[…]
Over the past 24 hours however, posts expressing hopelessness amid the severity and destructiveness of the attacks and fear that people in Gaza might not survive this time, have soared. […]

Almost everyone in Gaza is posting this at the moment. People know the world has let them down and thus feel their killing is a matter of time.

After this tweet, I have decided to stop posting permanently and bid farewell to everyone I had the honor of knowing here.
Writing has always been, and still is, my only escape from everything I feel. Amid this genocide, I decided to share what I wrote and expose the crimes of an occupation that can only be described as more horrific than any horror one could imagine—or fail to imagine.
Like any fool, I believed that my voice could make a difference. At first, I was eager, sharing everything my hands could write. But I do not know what you need to see or read to finally rise against all that is happening—not for our sake, but for your conscience, for your faith, so that you do not struggle with your conscience when you go to sleep, so that your free thoughts do not contradict your actions.
But it seems I am just another number, like the countless martyrs who have ascended to the sky. You will grow used to my absence, just as you have with the others. Perhaps I will be martyred, and you will never even know. I do not want to ask you to remember me—because that will not help me then. I will be in the hands of Allah, the Just, under whom no one is wronged.
I will not forgive.

At this very moment, I’m Dr Hamza, speaking to you from the Gaza Strip.
The occupation is exterminating us all at this very moment.
The bombing is intensifying across all areas of the Strip, from north to south. Children are bereft of heads, and martyrs are dismembered, their bodies indistinguishable from their bodies. Blood is everywhere, and body parts are hanging from trees and walls.
Will you pay attention to us, even for a moment?
Will you speak for us?
Can we have a minute?
