How do we square this with the fact that he was (ostensibly) democratically voted into power?
Should we be aiming our vitriol at Trump or the moronic masses who put him into power?

Or just a big fat baby not getting his way. 🤷

Disagree.
Trump is merely expressing the American id. I like Trump blurting the quiet parts out loud.
I know Americans at the bar hate to hear it, but we have a couple of centuries of evidence that America is not the good guy. Can’t blame this party or that. It’s not just Trump or 2025. This is who America is.

Just as Russia coming to the defense of the Donbass against genocide, Yemen is following international law that commands countries to intervene in an ongoing genocide.
Remember, Ansar Allah (Houthis) is on the side of the law.
Hamas is a legitimate resistance against an occupation. As was Hezbollah when Israel tried to invade Lebanon.
Anyone who calls them terrorists is ignorant or a liar.
America and Europe, as well as the cuckolded Arab states, are all in violation of or ignoring international law.

I asked my friend, who works on Yemen and knows quite a number of Yemenis, how Yemenis were doing under the bombs. She said the bombardment was the heaviest for a long time. The heaviest ever? No it was like that under the Saudi bombardment, she said.
It should not be forgotten that the Houthis come from Sa’da, in the north of Yemen, I was reminded. They are not necessarily appreciated in San’a. (That is a weakness.)

Iran wins the international concrete contest every year. No one else even comes close. Were talking 25,000 PSI. Lots and lots of talented engineers to place the bar.
Dirt is pretty much a unlimited resource. mega dirt. Lots of uber concrete . lots of bar.
A conventional explosive bunker buster is limited by the payload of the plane and other physical constraints.
Kinetic energy weapons are better. Hazelnuts. Use of kinetic energy that exceeds the power of conventional explosives. No explosive that has to go off that has to survive the “burrowing” If you can get the projectile to hold together your going to be able to get deep. Does the USA have such weapons? Who knows. I dont.
Is a kinetic weapon delivered from space “bombing”?
Conclusion. Conventional explosive bunker busters will not defeat Iranian bunker designs. If conventional explosive bunker busters are used they will not destroy their targets. Kinetic energy weapons might destroy their targets. Nuclear weapons of either known or unknown design will destroy their targets.
Conclusion. If implemented the “bombing” will be known to either effective or ineffective prior to the mission. If effective either weapons of unknown design or nuclear weapons will be necessary. If ineffective the goal is not the destruction of Iranian nuclear facilities. Either way a war with Iran spells the end of energy transit. The idea that this is not understood is very naive. The consequence of the strike are far greater than the issue of whether the strike achieves its supposed goals. The stated goals are hogwash because they are not important compared to the consequences. It really doesn’t matter whether the bunkers are destroyed or not. That is irrelevant to the consequences.
On the other hand never underestimate stupidity especially in regard to the mental illness known as exceptionalism. Never underestimate human capacity to fuckup a good thing from delusion. Still.. I dont believe that level of incompetence is present. IMO Far more likely the consequences are desired. Trump implements Greta goals.
In 3.5 years the neoliberals will be back. Pepsi exceptionalism not Coca Cola. They will put Trump behind bars this time. What could he do to prevent that? Trumps situation is not much different than Netanyahu.

“Eid is difficult for Umm Muhammad Al-Sahhar, difficult enough to remember a morning a year ago when she would gather around the breakfast table, where there was feseekh and fried tomatoes, and lots of fun and laughter with four of her sons: “Ahmed,” a doctor who was killed while treating the wounded in Al-Awda Hospital; “Salah,” a policeman who was killed at his door; “Amjad,” as he was returning with bread to them at the “Compassion Yemen” shelter; and Ibrahim, as he was returning from the south of the Gaza Strip to the north. The bereaved mother remembers the story of five young men like rose petals, whom she raised with the “pearls of her eyes,” who died one after the other, days apart: “Every two days they bring me news of one of them until they are gone.” She gathered them all in one grave with their father… a grave pursued by the chains of the “D9s” to gather the crushed hearts… but death will never end the story…

That’s because Biden bombed Yemen all throughout 2024 with very little Dem objections.
So bombing the Houthis is a bipartisan policy, and Dems thus couldn’t object to the bombing itself, so had to confine themselves to feigned anger over the Signal sideshow.

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) successfully targeted an E-2 command and control aircraft belonging to the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, a senior Sanaa government source told Al Mayadeen on Sunday.
According to the source, “The Truman lost command capabilities following the attack, while both the White House and the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) have launched an investigation into the incident.”

The targeted E-2 aircraft is designed to provide critical intelligence on potential threats faced by the warship during military operations. While it does not directly participate in attacks, it plays a crucial role in surveillance and tracking

Getting many questions about the demonstrations in Gaza
So here’s my full assessment of the protests; their potential & limitations; genuineness & spontaneity vs outside influence; motives & goals; & their ability to actually challenge Hamas or bring the war close to an end🧵
Thread:
1\ The protests seem to have started spontaneously in small numbers & limited areas. Their grievances are genuine; people are tired, desperate for the genocide to end at any cost, many want Hamas to step down from gov to take away Israel’s pretext for the siege & killing
But…
2\ The protests quickly drew the interest & influence of external actors, keen to exploit Gazans’ despair & pain, & this may end up undermining the movement instead of helping
e.g. Israel demanding Gazans take to the street or face death, land theft & forever war will backfire
3\ When Israel suddenly blesses Palestinians’ right to expression against Hamas (while detaining, maiming & murdering those exercising that same right against the occupation), it discourages people from taking part in the protest lest they be called “Israel’s collaborators”
4\ An apparent Fatah influence is detectable in some of today’s protests, with the chant “Ya Shia” being added.
This chant, accusing Hamas of being Iranian stooges, was popular in 2007 amongst Fatah partisans during the Fatah-Hamas conflict that saw the latter take over Gaza
5\ Israeli media identified one of the protesters today as someone whose family affiliated with Muhammad Dahlan’s Fatah
Similarly, a Fatah influence on the demonstrations will make it easier for Hamas to dismiss/delegitimize them as “pushed by an external agenda”
6\ The protesters’ messages are simple, uncontroversial, & realistic: “We want to live”, “End the war/genocide”, “We want peace & normal life”, “Hamas must step down from gov”…
Some sent reassuring messages like “We’re not against Hamas, but against its rule”
7\ However, actors trying to exploit these protests to escalate the messaging to the next level (e.g. demanding disarmament, fully dismantling Hamas, foreign gov in Gaza, whitewashing Israel, framing Hamas as the sole problem) are undermining the potential of these demonstrations
8\ MANY Gazans want Hamas to step down from gov (even inside Hamas itself), many want a permanent ceasefire, but full disarmament is a very sensitive topic
The mere existence of any form of weapons in Gaza is seen by many as a deterrent against the IDF staying in Gaza forever
9\ The protest demands (end the war, Hamas step down from gov) have already been largely accepted by Hamas, who has been calling for a permanent end to the war & accepted ceding governance to a technocratic PA gov or an independent administrative committee
Israel says no to both
10\ Even if Hamas is toppled by those protests, Israel is unlikely to accept an alternative form of Palestinian governance, an IDF withdrawal from Gaza or an end to the war.
Netanyahu maintains a veto on all the above & depopulating Gaza remains Israel’s priority
11\ The more Israel talks about emptying out Gaza, the lesser those protests’ potential & the more strength Hamas will draw by portraying itself as the only entity that can prevent or at least challenge this scenario & make the IDF stay in Gaza costly
12\ Add to this, the continuation of Israeli attacks will probably be the biggest factor in limiting the expansion of the demonstrations.
Israeli mouthpieces called on Gazans to demonstrate in certain areas that were then bombed by the IDF!
13\ The genocide creates a rallying around the flag effect that strengthens Hamas’ survival. What Israel failed to accomplish in 16 months of total war, it won’t succeed to get by demanding starved & desperate Gazans march to its tune
14\ Popular demonstrations usually succeed by disrupting life, shutting down the economy, making it impossible for the government to function & its leaders to move around
Israel did all this & more already. There’s nothing left protesters can do to pressure Hamas amid genocide!
15\ Ultimately, a true popular reckoning with Hamas can only happen once there is a ceasefire… at the ballot boxes
Nonetheless, the protests are a natural right to Gazans who’ve been through hell on their own for 16 months; no one outside has a right to lecture them

Trump shredded the Iran nuclear deal for Israel because Natanyahu is afraid Iran can still wipe his merry bands of genociders off the map with advanced missiles, making deterrence via nuclear fallout so passe’. But Iran knows if it gives up its missiles, it will experience the same shock as Iraq. It would be foolish if Putin abandons Iran as he did Syria. Perhaps Trump reneged on a promise to trade Ukraine for Syria and Putin fell for it — again.

There is no indication that Trump and Putin have organized anything together. People need to stop projecting Russia as “world police”. They have less interest in that than the Chinese, who have zero interest. No one wants to repeat America’s mistakes with foreign adventurism.
Besides, Iran can handle itself. The Islamic Revolution was explicitly created for this moment.

@ Arch Bungle | Mar 31 2025 3:26 utc | 49 & Posted by: Mary | Mar 30 2025 23:06 utc | 28 about the E-2 Hawkeye..thanks
I found this

The newest version of the E-2C also has a Aegis Weapon System.
Most incredibly, the new radar – the APY-9 – is actually capable of detecting fighter-sized stealth aircraft such as the Su-57 and some of the newer Chinese fighter types.
But this is not the radar’s only trick. Another important aspect is to guide weapons from other aircraft. It is possible for the E-2D to guide AIM-120 and SM-6 missiles fired from other aircraft to targets outside the range of the fighter that launched it.

It may have been forced to use its Aegis loads and had to retreat back to carrier so no more support for aggression, eh?

#49
Since entering combat during the Vietnam War, the E-2 has served the US Navy around the world, acting as the electronic “eyes of the fleet”.
More recently, E-2Cs provided the command and control for both aerial warfare and land-attack missions during the Persian Gulf War.
The E-2 Hawkeye is a crucial component of all U.S. Navy carrier air wings; each carrier is equipped with four Hawkeyes (five in some situations), allowing for continuous 24-hour-a-day operation of at least one E-2 and for one or two to undergo maintenance in the aircraft carrier’s hangar deck at all times.
Methinks CSG is kinda screwed without them. It will be interesting to see how Ansarallah managed to nullify them.

‘Nonetheless, the protests are a natural right to Gazans who’ve been through hell on their own for 16 months; no one outside has a right to lecture them’
The only trace of DNA of Christianity left after 2000 years of Chritianity is ‘ Judge not lest ye be judged’. Compassion has disappeared down the plughole of Evangelaism. Nazism flourishes supreme in the “”””Chritianity”””” of the West.
Anybody disagree with that?
So since Chritianity is as extinct as Jurassic Patk, what does Islam have to say about Dahlan’s, Fatah, Joseph Chamberlain, appeasement of Nazism?
Islam says that we are placed here on Earth to be tested whether or not we will accept martyrdom in the pursuit of Justice, based on Faith in God’s Promise of Resurrection in Paradise for those those struggle against the worldly power of Fascism/ Tyranny.
The Palestinians and Hamas fully 1000% accept Allah’s message. Dahlan and Fatah 1000% rejects it.
“”Christian””dead DNA waffle about not judging Palestians for wanting Chamberlain-style APPEASEMENT OF ZIONIST NAZISM, is wrong on two fronts.
1/ History tells us that appeasement of Nazism doesn’t work.
2/ Islam tells us that it isn’t just Palestinians who are being tested here.
Every single human being on the Planet Earth that ignores this genocide and allows it to happen unchallenged, has already failed the God Test, the test of whether we are prepared to fight against Tyranny.
It is obligatory on every Muslim to fight against Tyranny, not just to say it’s somebody else’s problem.
If all the UK Muslims descended on London on April 1, the Starmer Zioninst government would collapse, and its MIC wars in Ukraine and West Asia would instantly end.
We are all being tested, not just Palestinians.

We know that criminals will not choose to stop the killing, destruction and massacres. We know that they will choose to kill anyone who tries to stop them.
We are trying to stop this killing, destruction and genocide, and this is the national, correct and right decision from any human being.
The fact that my country is being destroyed and my people are being killed does not mean that we made the wrong decision.
The decision to stand up to evil criminals was never and will never be a wrong decision regardless of the consequences of that decision.
Yemen wants peace for all, and Israel and America want killing, destruction and war for all…”

Police have raided a Quaker meeting house and arrested six young people meeting to discuss concerns about the climate crisis and the Gaza genocide.
On 27 March, more than 20 officers – some carrying tasers – reportedly forced their way into Westminster Meeting House in central London.
According to Quakers in Britain, the officers “broke open the front door without warning or ringing the bell first, searching the whole building and arresting six women attending the meeting in a hired room”.
Paul Parker, recording clerk for Quakers in Britain, said: “No-one has been arrested in a Quaker meeting house in living memory.”
“This aggressive violation of our place of worship and the forceful removal of young people holding a protest group meeting clearly shows what happens when society criminalises protest.”

Bucharest, March 31, 2025
Today, the Hind Rajab Foundation, through its legal representative, has filed a criminal complaint before the Romanian Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice against Orel Benyaish, an Israeli soldier from the 432nd Battalion of the Givati Brigade. He is accused of committing war crimes and acts of genocide during Israel’s ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip.
The evidence submitted includes images and videos posted by Benyaish himself, showing his direct involvement in the destruction of residential buildings in the Netzarim corridor—a heavily targeted area where thousands of Palestinian civilians were forcibly displaced. He appears in uniform, smiling in front of homes rigged with explosives. In these same images is fellow soldier Yuval Vagdani, also of the Givati Brigade, who was photographed in the moment explosives were being placed for a controlled demolition. The two acted together, knowingly and deliberately, in destroying civilian homes without any military justification.
This is not a matter of battlefield tragedy. It is the calculated and boastful destruction of civilian life, carried out with impunity and celebrated in social media posts. The detonation, which reduced entire homes to rubble, is not only a war crime under international humanitarian law—it is an expression of genocidal intent. These actions were not part of legitimate combat. They were designed to humiliate, terrorize, and annihilate a people, in flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions, the Rome Statute, and the most fundamental norms of human dignity.
Last December in Brazil, a judge issued a probe order against Yuval Vagdani for his role in this same crime. The Romanian complaint is therefore not isolated, but part of a broader international legal effort to end the impunity of soldiers who participate in the collective punishment and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population.
Romania, as a party to the Rome Statute and the Geneva Conventions, bears not only the legal competence but the moral obligation to act….

(Not the answer you’re looking for)

It’s in the range of a few billions per month for sure but it doesn’t matter while the U.S runs on fiat currency – they’ve essentially used the dollar-fulcrum to turn the world’s resources against itself.

The only time they’ll begin to feel it is when the Global South (BRICS) decide to de-dollarize en masse.

In theory, Egypt and Turkey are in line with US and so with “Israel”. Doubts aired about Turkey’s intent with Syria and the likes of the following might just be propaganda/distraction , but I think it is more likely “Israel” is being proactively aggressive to try to keep or build a sense of command.
Journalist Youssef Fares
“Israel Hayom:
Israel has approached Egypt and the United States with a request to begin dismantling military infrastructure established by the Egyptian army in Sinai, in violation of the peace agreement between the two countries. A senior security official described these Egyptian measures as a “significant violation” of the security annex.
The Israeli official stressed that Israel is committed to preserving the peace agreement with Egypt and does not intend to change its military deployment along the border with Egypt. However, he stressed that Israel “will not accept this situation.””
Remembering Hamas had asked for aid deliveries to be made via Rafah crossing in future (in event of a ceasefire)
Journalist Suhaib Al-Masalma
“Axios quoting an Israeli official:
The army will expand its ground operation in Gaza to occupy 25% of the Strip within two or three weeks. The ground operation is part of a maximum pressure campaign to force Hamas to agree to the release of more hostages.
The army’s plan is to expand the buffer zone it controls in the territory near the border.”
They don’t say which border and presumably with Gaza, but given Rafah is currently being told to evacuate, further isolating the Egyptian border is also likely part of any plan.
Within two to three weeks there will be no food left in Gaza, if reports are correct.
It is not easy to read the wider circumstance, beyond the obvious.
