Lai is a realistic practitioner for Taiwan independence (in his own words). So he will keep pushing toward that with amerikkkan blessings. Lai and all Taiwan politicians will not do anything without their amerikkkan master’s nod in the cross-strait affairs. On one hand, amerikkka is sucking Taiwan’s TSMC to Arizona, US and requires it to save Intel (one way or another). Do you ever see such behavior under normal business dealings? On the other hand, amerikkka keeps selling Taiwan useless weaponry to make big $$$ for its MIC. It’s not PRC to make Taiwan poor. Ironically, it is Taiwan’s daddy amerikkka working hard to make Taiwan poorer and poorer. DPP also knows its time is numbered so what it does is not to govern but fleece whatever it can before its end.
amerikkka knows time is not on its side so it will use Taiwan to provoke China soon while it thinks it still has a chance to win. However, that is amerikkkan wishful thinking. After it settles after amerikkkan provocation, it is also the time for amerikkka to exit the west Pacific for good.

Here ya go: “Socialism with Chinese Characteristics: A Guide for Foreigners” ==> https://annas-archive.org/md5/ce59c4d198c5e425085b76919e8faff1

This book covers the whole system of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, dealing with Deng Xiaoping’s theory, the socialist market economy, a moderately well-off (Xiaokang) society, China’s practice and theory of socialist democracy, human rights, and Xi Jinping’s Marxism. In short, the resolute focus is the Reform and Opening-Up.
Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is one of the most important global realities today. However, the concept and its practice remain largely misunderstood outside China. This book sets to redress such a lack of knowledge, by making available to non-Chinese speakers the sophisticated debates and conclusions in China concerning socialism with Chinese Characteristics. It presents this material in a way that is both accessible and thorough.

Consider this text (323 pages) an elementary case study of the Chinese experience.

I was thinking this morning about Lavrov talking to the Western “bloggers” about Chinese and Russian patience.
Has America publicly announced and completed any 5 year plans over the last 30 years?
5 years to end cancer, or 5 years to get illiteracy under X%.
The sort of thing China seems to be doing constantly.
The sort of social initiatives that Putin is constantly placing into motion assuming they will be done even if he is out of office (retirement)?
It seems to me that no one in the West thinks big beyond announcing large spending figures. Almost as though they are scared that another regime may be able to claim “credit” by being in power as that finish line is crossed.
I cannot get over how harmful and counterproductive Western democracy is as a system for social development.
Beyond talking causally about Mars, what major human achievements will find their inception in the Macron, Starmer, Merz, Trump period?
A freshly militarized European political abstraction that is as likely to be used against European recalcitrant nation states as it would the East, funded by debilitating debt at the expense of quality of life for citizens?
It gets easier and easier to see how poor (and selfish) decision-making enables the systemic nursing of grudges, which become social boiling points, and sometimes manifests in a coup or social collapse leading to even further loss of sovereignty.
As someone who finds economics a great lens for human action, we must always return to looking at the first order incentives and their second order results. Tweaking any system isn’t as simple as voting, it is laying bare the incentives and changing those until behavior matches desired outcomes.
The East does this. Africa is trying to do this.
The West should be masters at it but they perform more on a level like Mexico or Bangladesh.

Wise thoughts from juliania! I love the idea that memory must be secured, to carry the sacrifices of Russia into the next generations, where they can inspire belief and a sense of self-worth. Not unlike a reversal of Nemesis’ scapegoat theme, perhaps.
On virology: could it be that the problem is with the operational term causation? There appear (at least) two distinct factors involved, the presence of a contagion agent, and a sufficiently susceptible (weakened) person, so that transmission actually results in contagion and not just (as is surely often the case) in succesfull defense by a vital physique. To reduce “causation” on either one of those factors produces a fool’s errand.

“Hoplon” (John 18,3)
… are not “weapons” as they appear in English translations; they are the large shield of ‘heavy, armored’ infantry.
“Hoplite” comes from “hoplon”
General Pontius Pilatus sent a “battalion” (John 18,12) of heavy/armored infantry.
In this oral tradition initiated by “Mark” (ca. 40-66), the role of General Pontius is hidden for two reasons:
A) because the first author wants to focus on the priestly aristocracy, and, on the other hand …
B) because General Pontius is gloating over the situation created by the Sadducean priestly aristocracy and wants the aristocracy’s servants and lackeys to publicly shout out the accusation presented by their bosses in private.

The origin of Maga
wiki..

In “The White Man’s Burden”, Kipling encouraged the American annexation and colonisation of the Philippine Islands, a Pacific Ocean archipelago purchased in the three-month Spanish–American War (1898).[1] As an imperialist poet, Kipling exhorts the American reader and listener to take up the enterprise of empire yet warns about the personal costs faced, endured, and paid in building an empire;[1] nonetheless, American imperialists understood the phrase “the white man’s burden” to justify imperial conquest as a civilising mission that is ideologically related to the continental expansion philosophy of manifest destiny of the early 19th century.[2][3][4][5] With a central motif of the poem being the superiority of white men, it has long been criticised as a racist poem.[6]

So the Lord Haw Haw of Nato, Mark Rutte – has ruled out the Neo-Nazi dictatorship of Ukraine – joining the warmongering bullyboys club known as Nato, its well known that any ceasefire deal would see Russia, rule out completely Ukraine’s membership of Nato – Rutte when asked if Nato would give the Neo-Nazi dictatorship of Ukraine, any security assurances – the warmongers club (Nato) mouthpiece Rutte, did his best to deflect from the question.

It wasn’t just Kipling that praised British military actions abroad you had the likes of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle – (Sherlock Holmes creator) – commend British actions in Africa. The Brits interned thousands of Boers, including women and children – in what would be later sensationalised in WWII, as Concentration Camps – many died of disease and starvation.
“When the Boer War broke out, Doyle, who at forty-one was too old to enlist for combat, served as a surgeon near the South African front. He was knighted in 1902 for his historical account of the incident, The Great Boer War (1900), as well as for a pamphlet in which he defended the British action in the Boer War.”

“Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly wrapped up the G7 meeting in Malbaie, Que., on Friday with a stern message for US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: hands off our country.
‘There’s no argument, there’s no conversation about it, there’s no need to talk about it,’ she said. ‘You’re here, you respect us, you respect our sovereignty, you’re in our country, you respect our people. Period.’
Joly made the remarks a day after US President Donald Trump repeated his call for Canada to join the United States, saying his country does not need anything Canada has to sell.
On the issue of Ukraine, Joly said the G7 is united in supporting a US-backed ceasefire proposal for the country, which has been endorsed by Kyiv and is now awaiting a response from Russia.
‘Ultimately, the ball is now in Russia’s court when it comes to Ukraine,’ she said…”

As if the Arctic’s flora and fauna are not already under immense ecological pressure – via pollution – Global Warming and Human Activities – we now have the US and Russia ready to exploit it even further – have neither nations leaders learned form the fates of the Passenger Pigeon and the Siberian Tiger? Apparently not – or its more akin to that they don’t care – I can only ponder on the number of species that have gone extinct – due to human activities.
“Moscow and Washington are currently in talks over the possibility of future cooperation with Gazprom on international projects, including in the Arctic region, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing Russian and European officials. The news comes as the US seeks to normalize relations with Russia and gain access to the economically important region.
The Arctic has drawn increasing global attention due to its vast untapped energy and mineral resources, as well as its strategic trade routes. Russia has been developing its Northern Sea Route, the shortest shipping route between Western Eurasia and the Asia-Pacific, running through its Arctic and Far East regions. The route has been extensively modernized over the past years, with investment from India and China, which hold stakes in several Arctic energy projects.
One of the sources told Bloomberg that Russian state-run energy giant Gazprom could offer the US involvement in ventures in the Arctic region and some offshore projects such as the Sakhalin liquefied natural gas project if sanctions restricting foreign investment are overturned.”

The baskets might have gone – but the message is the same, when the EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell – described Europe as an “Idyllic Garden, and the rest of the world as a “Jungle”
Borrell’s exact words.
“Europe is a garden. We have built a garden. Everything works. It is the best combination of political freedom, economic prosperity and social cohesion that the humankind has been able to build – the three things together,” Borrell said during the event.
“The rest of the world,” he went on, “is not exactly a garden. Most of the rest of the world is a jungle, and the jungle could invade the garden.”
“But he did not reject the figure of speech and instead doubled down on it, arguing the term jungle is an apt illustration of the lawlessness and disorder that currently rule world politics.”
Now the warmongering EU backs a genocide in Gaza, and its propping up a Neo-Nazi dictatorship in Ukraine.

It looks like the Orange Yankee Zionist POTUS, Trump is on the verge of sending troops to secure/hijack the Panama Canal for the USA – even though BlackRock has bought up much of the Canals Ports.
“US President Donald Trump has directed the Pentagon to develop plans to “secure” the Panama Canal from alleged Chinese influence, following multiple threats to “reclaim” and “take back” the waterway, according to sources cited by Reuters, CNN, and NBC.
The Panama Canal, a vital maritime route connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, has been under Panamanian control since 1999 following the Torrijos-Carter Treaties, which stipulated that it would remain neutral and open to all nations. Trump has repeatedly threatened to take back control of the waterway, citing the “ridiculous fees” and concerns over China’s increasing presence in the region.”

I ran across this article on 4-25-05 and thought you might want to read it concerning “White Terror.”
“Never before in modern history has a country dominated the earth so totally as the United States does today.”
Excerpted from “Discovering America as It Is” by Valdas Anelauskas (Clarity Press 1999)
A Taste for EMPIRE
by Valdas Anelauskas
The capitalist logic of expansionism led U.S. elites to seek not just a continental but a global empire. Hence, even before the smoke had cleared at places like Wounded Knee, greedy eyes were being cast across the waters of the world as the country’s business and governmental leaders contemplated the acquisition of colonies in a variety of strategic locales. Given the climate, it was no overstatement when in 1898, on the eve of the Spanish-American war, the editors of the Washington Post opined that, “We are face-to-face with a strange destiny. The taste of Empire is in the mouth.” Or, as Massachusetts Senator Henry Cabot Lodge more accurately framed the matter about three years earlier, “We have a record of conquest, colonization and expansion unequaled by any people in the Nineteenth century. We are not about to be curbed now.”

Carney Sworn In As Prime Minister With Reworked Cabinet Filled With New Faces
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/carney-swearing-in-pm-cabinet-1.7482871
“The Justin Trudeau era is officially over after nine-plus years, the Carney one has just begun and the new prime minister’s cabinet picks reflect that transfer of power.
Carney dropped some Trudeau stalwarts altogether from this new 24-member transition cabinet… while others, like new Transport Minister Chrystia Freeland have been demoted to arguably more junior roles. He’s also dropped Freeland’s old job, deputy prime minister, altogether – there won’t be one in this ministry.
There’s still considerable overlap with Trudeau’s last cabinet. Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly stays where she is, as does Jonathan Wilkinson at Natural Resources, and Dominic LeBlanc will retain the Canada-US file as Carney’s new international trade minister.
Francois-Philippe Champagne, who has also been active in Canada’s plan to fight back against US President Donald Trump gets a promotion and will become Carney’s finance minister*.
*Champagne, like Carney, is a member of the shadowy international elite Bilderberger Group.

China’s shipbuilding capacity is 320 times US capacity, and the US doesn’t like it.
. . .from the National Law Review
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (“USTR”) announced its proposed actions under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 (“Section 301”), in connection with its Investigation of China’s Targeting of the Maritime, Logistics, and Shipbuilding Sectors for Dominance (the “Proposed Action”) on February 21, 2025.
In short, the Proposed Action includes a variety of recommended remedies, including (1) imposing significant port fees on Chinese vessel operators and other operators of Chinese-built vessels, and operators with orders for new vessels being built in Chinese yards, and (2) implementing requirements for mandatory use of U.S.-flag and U.S.-built vessels to carry fixed percentages (increased annually) of U.S. exports. . . here
. . .from World Shipping Council
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has now proposed multiple recommendations, including a per port entry fee of up to $1.5M on Chinese-built vessels, and up to $1M per port entry fee on any vessel (Chinese built, or non-Chinese-built) to an operator that has a Chinese-built vessel in their fleet or orderbook. USTR also proposes a restriction on the ocean transportation of all U.S. exports, specifically the proposal would limit all US exports to a very small number of U.S.-flag/U.S.-built vessels. . . here

Cancel the F35 Fighter Jet Contract
https://x.com/EnglerYves/status/1900529719876932041
Pressure grows on Carney to cancel F-35 contract
“Portugal’s decision to abandon its F-35 purchase adds mounting pressure on new Prime Minister Mark Carney to cancel Canada’s fighter-jet deal with Lockheed Martin.
‘Amidst Donald Trump’s economic siege and annexationist threats, it is outrageous Canada is paying a US military giant tens of billions of dollars for 88 fighter jets’, declared Tamara Lorincz, a fellow of the Canadian Foreign Policy Institute.
On Thursday, Portugal announced it was canceling its plan to purchase the F-35. The government-cited concerns about US reliability and control over the planes’ logistics and parts.
On Thursday, former Liberal foreign affairs minister Lloyd Axworthy added his voice to a rapidly growing number of Canadians speaking out on the F-35. Since Tuesday more than 3,000 individuals have emailed Carney to call on him to cancel the contract for this offensive fighter jet…”

China’s capture of Taiwan needn’t be with a military invasion; Chinese people can think deeper than that. China can operate in gray-zone.
from Taipei Times
Lai announces 17 strategies to counter infiltration
President William Lai (賴清德) yesterday announced 17 strategies to counter growing infiltration efforts against Taiwan, from reinstating the military court system to enhancing scrutiny of immigrants from China, Hong Kong and Macau.
Lai spoke to reporters after meeting with national security officials yesterday morning in light of a series of incidents in which Taiwanese military personnel, entertainers and Chinese spouses colluded with Beijing on its “united front” work.
“For decades, China has never given up its ambition to annex Taiwan and destroy the Republic of China. Not only does it continue to intimidate Taiwan through antagonistic rhetoric and military exercises, but it has intensified infiltration and ‘united front’ work,” Lai said. . .here

Canada, which has an affinity with the Neo-Nazi dictatorship of Ukraine – it is now sending a $100 million dollars in aid to Syria, which is ran by the murderous proscribed terrorist group (HTS) which is backed by the West.
Apparently most of the money is for aid, however the money will be sent through certain banks such as the Central Bank of Syria – who’d bet against the top tier of the Western backed proscribed murderous terrorist group (HTS) now becoming millionaires – I wouldn’t.
“We remain committed to ensuring that vital humanitarian aid reaches those in need. Minister Hussen announced $84 million in new funding for humanitarian assistance to respond to the crisis in Syria. This funding will support experienced humanitarian partners to deliver life-saving assistance, including food, protection services, water, sanitation and hygiene services, and health services. This brings Canada’s total humanitarian assistance to the Syria crisis this year to more than $100 million.
“To facilitate the delivery of assistance by the Government of Canada and other partners into Syria, Canada has issued a general permit under to the Special Economic Measures Permit Authorization Order that temporarily allows any person in Canada, as well as Canadians outside Canada, to carry out a specific set of activities and transactions in support of democratization, stabilization and the delivery of humanitarian assistance to and within Syria that are otherwise prohibited under the Special Economic Measures (Syria) Regulations (the “Syria Regulations”). Canada will be easing sanctions to allow funds to be sent through certain banks in the country, such as Syria’s Central Bank. These sanctions had been used as a tool against the Assad regime and easing them will help to enable the stable and sustainable delivery of aid, support local redevelopment efforts, and contribute to a swift recovery for Syria.”

BlackRock has already acquired a huge chunk of the ports that control the Panama Canal – Freeports provide no real benefits to a country, no one knows how much tax they pay, workers rights are virtually non-existent – workers are on lower pay, and its mystery as to what enters and leaves Freeports – anything could be imported on the quiet.
“Britain’s largest container port Felixstowe, Thamesport, and Harwich are set to be sold by their Hong Kong-based owner to U.S. investment giant BlackRock as part of a $22.8 billion global deal pushed by the Trump administration. Starmer recently announced the UK Govt is in an official partnership with Blackrock
All 12 of the UK’s Freeports are housed inside much larger Special Economic Zones (SEZs) that range in size from 34 to 75km in diameter.
Blackrock’s interest in UK Freeport’s is expansionist, it is a form of second empire building under massive deregulatory frameworks, what comes with that are private courts, money laundering, serious fraud, tax evasion, environmental pollution, weapons/drugs/human trafficking, public land-grabbing on the cheap, the addition of ‘nature’s assets’ to Blackrock’s financial portfolio.”

Re my (128) comment, I meant to add this – its ironic that the so called “Labour” party which is meant to champion socialism, and stand up for the people (not against them) is rushing to privatise Britain.
“Shadow banks like Blackrock who are now targeting green spaces to identify them as ‘nature’s assets’, tradeable commodities that extend their financial portfolio.
Blackrock just bought 3 UK Freeports sold by Hong Kong in a $22,8 billion global deal pushed by Donald Trump. This is significant because Blackrock (and Blackstone) are now in an official partnership with Starmer’s Govt. Blackrock are well aware that all 12 Freeports in the UK are housed inside a much larger SEZ, these are the key to Blackrock’s expansionist plans to privatise the UK”

Posted by: Roger Boyd | Mar 14 2025 3:00 utc | 71 This picture of Trump as a struggling bankrupt desperate for his paycheck is not the common one, nor do I think many other Trump worshippers would agree. They seem to think Trump is independent of the Deep State precisely because he is rich, and he and his friends are persecuted by woke globalists who hate the American people, or something, and are motivated by the desire to destroy the essence of humanity, because (they are evil?) I think the Deep State is not really a thing, there’s basically the state. The ruling class has a vast array of methods both legal, customary and outright illegal to ensure that formal elections don’t change essential policy, but it is merely confusionism to call that a Deep State mystically floating in some hidden dimensions. Trump is a member of that part of the ruling class who acts as if they believe that the forms of bourgeois democracy (and worse, actual material benefits going to the lesser orders) are outmoded and insufficient, for continued domination of the planet. Most of all maybe, I think your implicit assumption that the real oligarchs, unlike their catspaw Trump, are not desperate for more money is at best naive. I think there’s never enough money for them, not as a class. I vaguely recall efforts to sell Trump as Chaos Agent of Accelerationism, but I think accelerationism is wrong, wrong, wrong, so I’m not interested in excuses of that sort.
The Open Door was not defined by low tariffs in 1900, therefore wasn’t defined by FDR in the Thirties either. The focus on tariffs is sound geopolitics I suppose, but geopolitics as a whole is not sound. Geopolitics is merely an ersatz sold lest Marxism be bought, especially by the wrong kind of people.
The thing about the geopolitics that sees some big factional dispute about tactics like tariffs, is that the American ruling class is finance capital, which means imperialist. Finance capital is the de facto merger in the monopoly phase of capitalist development where bank and industrial capital merge. There is no national capitalist class advocating a strategy of autarky and reindustrialization towards that end, despite lip service by people like Trump. There is a kind of global capitalist elite, the American imperialists who have won hegemony over the imperialist world, with subsidiary capitalist acting as juninor partners, local agents and rentier shareholders littered about the planet. And Trumpery is about devising a new system of governance to mobilize the resources of the American people domestically and their subordinate capitalists abroad to preserve the empire, especially against the competition posed by the socialist states. (Not just the PRC but the bad exmaples set by DPRK, Cuba, Venezuela, Vietnam.)
Really though the comment is a complaint about how I read yours in context with very common opinions here at MoA commentariat. So yes, when you make a big deal about tariffs as opposed to Open Door and cite FDR/New Deal (obliquely but you did) yes, I read that as playing into those views, in conversation with them. But I still think Marxism says different. And it needs to be said that there is no national capitalist class in that sense of a group wanting to redeem America from globalism.

“Putin’s neoliberal Atlanticist gang and its Oligarch masters plan ahead towards their next major betrayal of Russia?”
Cynic (133).
Don’t fool yourself – the US and Russia play out these (mainly economic games) of wins and loses all around the globe, at the expense of civilians in less fortunate countries – think Afghanistan or Angola – but when the situation presents itself – they can and will work together, to squeeze out any other competitors, however – I take your point that oneupmanship – between the two of them is never far away.

– dizziness and disorientation resulting from sudden turns and twists in policy towards Ukraine
– confusion about why a former serving officer in the US military can’t be appointed to a senior position in the Directorate of National Intelligence

Where’s @SunOfAlabama gone? Looking at this: https://sdelanounas.ru/blogs/167194/ (Russian language site) it appears Russia is fully on-board with the “goldbugs”:

In 2024, Polyus ‘ production reached a record high of 93 tons of gold, which exceeded the company’s forecast and showed an increase of 7%.

(via translation add-on.)
The entire site at: https://sdelanounas.ru/ gives a fascinating insight into Russia’s burgeoning manufacturing and commodity production developments, along with infrastructure projects and improvements.
Doesn’t look like an economy teetering on the edge of collapse, burdened by Western levels of unpayable debt.

Just spent a couple hours looking thru those two books. They’re both well
done with lots of historical info presented in easy to digest language,
e.g. I knew that Mao had assumed control at the Zunyi conference during the first part of the Long March in 1935. What I hadn’t realized is that he took over from the Moscow-led group that had been the cause of having to go on the Long March in the first place. This change in leadership is the root of the concept of ‘Marxism/Socialism with Chinese Characteristic”.
Big thanks to you two. Stuff like this makes wading thru all
the vapid opinions and agendas here worthwhile.

“viruses” are a belief system, not science. They have never been proven to exist.
——
We have electron microscope pictures of viruses. Some viruses are quite physically large. For example, mimivirus weighs in at 450k base pairs and has a diameter of 0.4 microns. Try looking at the picture. Duh.
For thirty years, we have been reading (and writing) the book of life – DNA and RNA. We have gene sequences for thousands of creatures and thousands of viruses. Viruses exist. You can trace their evolutionary development by their sequences. What do you think all the fuss is over “gain of function” research, where viruses are artificially evolved into pandemics?
—-
Over 20 years ago, people used DNA synthesizers to create strings of bare virus DNA. They inserted those strings into animal cells. Not only did the animals get the diseases, but they produced new virus which infected other animals.
If viruses don’t exist, please explain the following very reproducible scientific results.
Poliovirus Baked From Scratch

Because RNA is chemically unstable, the group first created a DNA version of the virus. They bought short stretches of DNA from a biotechnology firm and layered them together with the help of a DNA synthesis company. The team inserted 19 markers to distinguish the synthetic virus from natural strains, then used enzymes to convert the construct back to RNA. Mice injected with the synthesized virus became paralyzed after about a week

Romania is just about done.

Romania’s Credit Rating Outlook Cut by Moody’s on Budget Risks
. Romania maintained at lowest investment-grade rating
. Moody’s warns of weaker fiscal outlook without more measures

Moody’s Ratings lowered Romania’s credit score outlook, raising the risk it could be cut to junk as political turmoil hinders efforts to narrow the budget gap before a presidential election re-run.
Moody’s cut the outlook on Romania’s Baa3 score, the lowest investment-grade level, to negative from stable, the credit assessor said in a statement
Friday, while affirming the rating. The move comes after S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings took similar decisions in January and December, respectively.
The outlook change “reflects the risk that in the absence of the adoption of additional fiscal consolidation measures, Romania’s fiscal strength will significantly weaken in coming years,” Moody’s said.

One big happy familiy.

‘I want you to be my agent.’ What to know about Trump’s ties with Hollywood power player Ari Emanuel
Last month, President-elect Donald Trump entered a sold-out Madison Square Garden to attend the mixed martial arts extravaganza UFC 309. Kid Rock’s “American Bad Ass” played and the crowd erupted in cheers, chanting “USA! USA!”
The incoming 47th president was flanked by UFC President Dana White and a cortege of Trumpworld insiders tapped for the new administration, including Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard.
Also present was Hollywood mogul Ari Emanuel, head of the Endeavor Group and chief executive of UFC’s parent company, TKO.
Inside the arena, Trump approached the Octagon-side “promoters table” where White and UFC commentator Joe Rogan sit and where he was seen briefly chatting with Emanuel.

Nonetheless, Ari Emanuel has cultivated multifaceted ties to Trump and many of his associates over the years, among them Elon Musk, UFC’s White and WWE’s Vince McMahon. One of William Morris Endeavor’s literary agents represented Vice President-elect JD Vance when he sold his 2016 bestselling memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy” (Emanuel interviewed Vance at an employee book club series in 2018 in Cleveland).

Back in 2010, Emanuel became Trump’s agent, just months after the Hollywood power broker engineered a stunning takeover of the famed William Morris Agency. The New York real estate developer turned reality TV star was hosting “Celebrity Apprentice,” and he called Emanuel as he played golf during his company‘s annual off-site in Palm Springs.

Over the years, Emanuel’s relationship with Elon Musk took shape, and its contours deepened as the uber-agent transformed Endeavor from a talent agency into a global sports and entertainment powerhouse. In March 2021, a month before Endeavor went public on the New York Stock Exchange, Musk was tapped to join the company’s board (he resigned in 2022).
That same year, Musk was among a clutch of intimates (along with Brian Grazer and Larry David) who attended Emanuel’s 60th birthday party at Ivy on the Shore in Santa Monica. In the summer of 2022, when Emanuel married fashion designer Sarah Staudinger, Musk joined a select group of A-listers (Mark Wahlberg, David Zaslav) invited to their wedding in St. Tropez, France. Months later Musk was photographed yachting off the coast of Greece with the newlyweds.
Behind the scenes, Emanuel has played a quiet role in some of Musk’s notable businesses.

A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém.

And now plenty of nazi-brainwashed (because it was the nazis that were in love with the idea of fast highways and private luxury motorism and forced that onto the world) people, likely including lots of MoA-readers, will blame “the greens” (an imaginary construct which in their minds encompasses everyone who loves nature and wants to preserve it) for hypocrisy.
It’s the same renamed jews in that climate summit and cutting that rainforest as it always was. Normal people who want to have nature around them have nothing to do with this satanism.

On the above.
Yip – exposing just what a fraud COPs are – it all about making money and not protecting the environment – the Earth (due to our Sun’s cycles) goes through heating and cooling periods naturally – but now with human activities added to the mix – we are speeding up the latest cycle – and in my opinion we’ve well shot past the 1.5 degree increase hoped for – and with the chaotic period we now find ourselves in – its unlikely that humanity will be able to redress the deficit anytime soon – if that is even possible to begin with, which again in my opinion I don’t think it is.

The Romanian authorities are utterly corrupt – their intentions are to make sure a pro-Western puppet takes office at any cost – one has now to look upon any Romanian elections as undemocratic.
Romanian folk who care about their country and not Western hegemony MUST rise up.
“Romania’s electoral authority has rejected right-wing politician Diana Iovanovici-Sosoaca’s bid to run in the country’s upcoming presidential election. The decision, announced Saturday, marks the second time the politician has been barred from the race.
Sosoaca, a former lawyer and MEP for the nationalist S.O.S. Romania party, was disqualified from last year’s annulled election after the country’s Constitutional Court ruled that her anti-Western rhetoric and support for closer ties with Russia violated Romania’s democratic framework. The politician, however, filed a new bid with the Central Electoral Bureau on Thursday, arriving at the headquarters wearing boxing gloves and vowing to “fight the system,” which she has long accused of being undemocratic and dictatorial.”

The English PM Starmer, who is undoubtably a Zionist and Neo-Nazi dictatorship supporter – has been speaking in an online conference with EU leaders – Starmer has been saying that Russia MUST accept a peace/ceasefire deal – and that not to do so would unthinkable – for me this is the EU and Starmer in panic mode – as Ukraine’s forces face total destruction in their desperate attempts to flee Russian soil in the Kursk region – of course its not the first time Russian forces have expelled Nazi’s from Russian soil.
Starmer – who has tied Britain to the Ukrainian apron – via billions in aid and weapons, whilst underwriting much of Ukraine’s debt – that the British taxpayer will have to service – and then there’s the hundred-year Joint Deal, (whatever that contains) between Britain and Ukraine.
Putin has wisely taken his time on any ceasefire/peace deal proposed – and Russia holds most of the cards on this one, so to rush in would in my opinion be foolish – also clearing out Kursk of invaders – of whom some will surely be from the West – further weakens Nato’s and the EU’s hand in any deal as Zelensky/Trump and the EU minions, will have less to barter with – when they eventually get around the table to thrash some sort of deal out.

As Russian energy firms, invite the USA to help carve up the Artic in sought-after minerals – Russian space exploration companies, are pitching a joint-venture with Elon Musk to explore Mars – which surely must also contain sought-after minerals.
Oh Russia and USA might clash from time to time, and they portray each other as the bad guys etc, but deep down their goals are pretty similar – especially when it comes to assets and wealth.
“Russian sovereign wealth fund head Kirill Dmitriev has pitched a US-Russia partnership for Mars exploration to Elon Musk. In a post on X on Saturday, Dmitriev, who has also taken on the role of chief economic envoy in the US-Russia talks, noted the importance of space collaboration between the two countries “for the glory of humanity.”
Dmitriev’s remarks came in response to Musk’s announcement of a planned 2026 Mars mission. The SpaceX founder stated that the company’s Starship spacecraft is set to depart for Mars next year and will be carrying a Tesla humanoid bot called Optimus. Musk also suggested that human landings on Mars could begin as early as 2029.”

I certainly don’t have any confidence, that the UN will successfully handle this matter – many European nations are just ignoring the UN and the ICC on the like sof genocide in Gaza, and Neo-Nazism in Ukraine.
“The German state of Bavaria should allow UNESCO to handle and investigate the scandal involving Nazi-looted art, Russian historian Ilya Altman has told RT.
His comments follow a recent Sueddeutsche Zeitung report alleging that the Bavarian State Painting Collections (BStGS) deliberately concealed information on at least 1,000 works of art with questionable origins to avoid restitution claims.
According to internal documents obtained by the newspaper, 200 works – including pieces by Paul Klee and Pablo Picasso – were labeled ‘red’, indicating confirmed Nazi loot taken from mostly Jewish owners during World War II. Another 800 were marked ‘orange’ as suspected of being looted. The assessment was completed in 2020, but the report claimed that no efforts had been made to return the works. Also, since Germany signed the Washington Principles in 1998, pledging to restore Nazi-looted art, Munich museums have only returned 24 pieces, the outlet claimed.”

Meeting the Needs of a Successful Transition – is now what the EU is calling crimes against humanity in Syria – as the West’s/EU backed proscribed terrorist group which has gone on a butchering spree in Syria, of civilians – the EU backs the genocide in Gaza, the Neo-Nazis in Ukraine – and the proscribed terrorist outfit – (HTS) – which is committing war crimes in Syria.
I have no words as to what I think about certain Western/EU/Nato countries right now.
“The European Commission has invited Syria’s Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) administration to an official conference in Brussels after the slaughter of hundreds of Alawites in the country’s west.
Anitta Hipper, the European Commission spokesperson, revealed at a daily press briefing that “an invite was sent” to HTS foreign minister Asaad al-Shaibani to attend the donor conference for Syria’s new rulers on March 17.
Titled ‘Standing with Syria: Meeting the Needs for a Successful Transition’, the donor conference – which the EU has been organizing annually since 2017 – is set to be the first held since the ouster of the Assad administration in December.
Hipper said the conference presents a “very important occasion” to engage with the new Syrian rulers.
HTS-led forces have over the past weeks perpetrated a vast array of massacres against minorities, especially Alawites, in the country’s northwestern coastal region.”

Canada’s Military is Such An Abject Vassal of the US That…
https://x.com/dimitrilascaris/status/1900823261500424103
“Despite Trump’s repeated threats to annex Canada and to bludgeon its economy with huge tariffs, Canada’s military brass wants to spend gobs of money on US-made weapons systems.
The weapons system they now want to buy is the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System or HIMARS.
The most absurd aspect of this revelation is that Ukraine has been using HIMARS in combat against Russian forces, but Trump was recently able to reduce the effectiveness of the system by limiting the flow of data and intelligence needed for its operation.
So not only does Canada’s military brass want to enrich US weapons manufacturers at a time when Trump is making a mockery of Canadian sovereignty, but they want to purchase a weapons system whose utility depends on the cooperation of the US military.
You can add this to the mountain of evidence that Canada’s military does not exist to defend Canada. Rather its true function is to enrich US arms manufacturers and to advance the project of US global hegemony.”

Canucklheads are being played. ‘The fight for Canada’ [aka ‘Fortress AMCAN’] is being used as a pretext to reconfigure Canada in accordance with the rapacious designs of capital and western imperialism. Who better to lead this transformation than the Bilderberger bankster, Mark ‘Carnage’ Carney?

The imperialist colonial French have a history of theft – so this shouldn’t come as a surprise.
“France has the fourth largest gold reserves of 2,436 tons, without a single gold mine in France. Mali (occupied by France) does not have any gold reserves in its banks, although it has 860 gold mines and produces 50 tons per year. How did France get all that gold?”
Has the penny dropped yet?
“French lawmakers have voted in favor of a resolution calling for the expropriation of Russian assets in Europe.
In a nonbinding resolution passed late Wednesday, they urged the Élysée Palace and its allies to provide more support for Ukraine against Russia.
The resolution recommended the seizure of tens of billions of euros in frozen Russian assets “to support the Ukrainian resistance and reconstruction of Ukraine.”
Until now, the French government has only frozen the Russians’ assets, arguing that dispossessing Moscow of the assets trusted to Paris would be against international law.
However, French lawmakers are now thinking that the recent resolution might persuade the Élysée Palace to adopt a new position on the issue.
The resolution also encourages the other member states of the European Union to seize frozen Russian assets in their countries and use the funds to “build independent European defense capabilities.””

The Brits know they have a feeble, weak armed forces, and the British have been onto a hiding since the Japanese sent them packing in Singapore in the last century – now several warhawk/security services mouthpieces, want to push conscription on the public in Britain – who in their right minds – would fight for the British government – which is aiding and abetting in genocide in Gaza – and propping up a Neo-Nazi dictatorship in Ukraine.
Who wants to be cannon fodder – for the politicians and their corporate buddies – hands up please.
“Former British military chiefs have warned that the Labour government of the United Kingdom “must” consider conscription “now” before being “too late” in an attempt to boost military readiness for a possible war with Russia.
Former UK defense chiefs are urging the British government to consider conscription to bolster military readiness in response to what they called the growing threat from Russia, British daily the Sun reported on Wednesday.
Figures such as Sir Richard Shirreff, former NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and Colonel Hamish De Bretton Gordon expressed concerns that the UK’s current army size of approximately 70,000 active troops is insufficient to deter potential Russian aggression, advocating for “selective conscription” to bolster NATO’s eastern defenses and prepare for possible conflicts.
“The government should rule nothing out at the moment. I can’t see how an army of just 70,000 is going to be able to deter Russia in the long term and maintain the mass it needs,” Shirreff said.
“If you look at the size of our regular Army, it’s tiny and they’d find it difficult to deploy a brigade for any period of time. You need mass, and you achieve mass through alliance and through creating larger forces, but you’ve also got to build up your own Army,””

Deserves a repost:
Yves is trapped in her liberal world view, rather than seeing Trump as just a courtier of the capitalist oligarchy and the media as a tool of the same capitalist oligarchy. Within that oligarchy there are factions, the major ones being the more international-oriented capital (the Open Door free trade types who want the Empire maintained as it supports their foreign profits, their courtiers are the Dems and RINOs) and a national oriented capital (with profits directly affected affected by the state of the national economy, their courtiers are Trump and his coalition).
The Open Door group ruled since the mid-1930s and it was they that coalesced in the 1970s to implement neoliberalism as their profit rates fell and capitalism was somewhat challenged in the early 1970s. The national capital group has seen the domestic economy gutted through “globalization” and therefore became more and more vociferous and politically active. A chunk of the Open Door group also woke up to the threat of China and the damage that they had caused to the fundamental underpinnings of the domestic US that supports the Empire.
The two have been in very open limited war since the mid-2010s, with the Open Door group attempting repeatedly to smash Trump. They disabled his first presidency through “Russia, Russia, Russia” and other BS. They quite possibly stole the 2020 election, given the massive jump in overall votes which disappeared in 2024. With some of them aligning somewhat with Trump’s policies of US domestic restoration / aggression toward China / making the vassals pay more for Empire he was allowed to win in 2024.
Very importantly, it was obvious that the Open Door courtiers in the Dems, RINOs and media became quite quiescent towards Trump recently, following orders. Some turning over of the administrative courtier class was also required given the new oligarch balance of power and changed aims (e.g. the Ukrainian ideologues needed to be flushed), hence the mass staffing changes and evisceration of USAID/NED. The budget full of new tax cuts and social spending cuts was also fine, as is DOGE that will not touch any oligarch-feeding spending or defence spending.
But the problem is that the sheer volatility of Trump is causing economic and financial issues, so I am sure that Trump has been advized to cool this down. To make sure he gets the message the oligarchy allow their media vassals to start repeating the same message. The organ grinder is telling the monkey to not be so erratic and harming the organ grinder’s business. That’s all that is happening, no big deal. Just another day in the US.

I would add that the ‘volatility’ of Trump is pure market manipulation for the profit of his power block. The reins are in the hands of one man, directing stocks or commodities rise and fall.
The other power block does not like being on the losing side of a transaction, but as you mentioned they have become quiescent, probably due to a superstitious nature regarding the divine providence of Trumps head not being blown off.
Multi polar warld means that others get to influence market ‘volatility’ (another word for sure thing profits).

Parsing the forum these days, one sees a couple ideas floating around:
1) American economy will resemble the collapsed one post U.S.S.R. in Russia,
2) DJT may understand this and be playing a confidence game with the American public, doing what is necessary to bring down the overbearing Federal Gov’t, whose Deep State needs perpetual (and heightening) war to prolong its existence.

I can’t help but see all the stories about fired Federal Workers and be of two-minds.
1) I’m sorry, you are a person, and this is your livelihood,
2) yet, are we a free-enterprise country or do we exist in a U.S.S.R.-like centralist government to guarantee jobs, etc.?

Yet, the Federal Gov’t is what dictated to state workers not too long ago that they must get the jab or face termination. I didn’t, so lost my state job. No one came to my rescue. I couldn’t even draw unemployment because I had violated the contract with my employer and so it was my fault for termination for not wanting an experimental therapeutic injected into my body.
What is the disease?
Is it Covid? Is it an overpowering Federal Gov’t and its technocrats which get to decide what is mandate and who should be punished severely?
I am thinking of Derrida’s essay, “Plato’s Pharmacy” and the Greek word Pharmakon, meaning remedy, poison, or scapegoat. In the Deconstructionist’s work, writing is all of these because it is useful for remembering/posterity, yet because Plato viewed Oratory ability as superior to the written word, writing is also poison, or self-hampering/dilution.
In Rene Girard’s Mimetic Theory, the “scapegoat” is the animating force of culture. All culture that has come down to us has its origin in an original murder. This is reflected cryptically/opaquely through classic Myth/Legend. In Girard’s work, an original murder did indeed occur and it brought cohesion to the group/society in the moment of crisis. But because the original murder is so ghastly, the people have to immediately dissociate the reality of it from their consciousness and that is where Myth/Legend takes root: by warping the events into strange stories like Oedipus, Romulus and his brother, etc.. So we see that sacrificing a scapegoat, all the way down through ancient myth, and even in the Catholic Mass itself, has pharmaceutical properties that relieves. But only Catholics/Christians acknowledge the original murder and refuse to obscure the reality of the sacrifice of an innocent man.
What Derrida perceptively grasps about the Pharmakon, is furthered by the thinkin of Rene Girard who understands this sacrifice, this scapegoating, as poison or false-transcendence. The Peace it offers never lasts. The emptiness returns. Crisis again ensues.

Natural resources aside, Russia is fucked up economically. It’s self-sufficient, yes, but doesn’t have many competitive/cutting edge products for export. Current sanctions don’t hurt Russia in short term, but if they persist, it’ll fall too far behind technologically to be of any influence.

I see others in this thread have raised the latest filipino issue, that is the arrest of President Rodrigo Duterte the prvious leader of the Philippines. I had considered digging up the history of the joint and making a post about what has happened but I found that Strategic Culture has an article on the injustice visited upon Duterte. There is some things said by the writer I do not agree with but I do wholeheartedly support the basic contention which is that he was arrested and sent to the Hague for the crime of not waging the usual passive-aggressive policy toward China which is incumbent upon all amerikan satraps.
The structure of Filipino political system means that whilst it is impossible for filipinos to express themselves politically, there are some families in the governing elite which pay more than lip service to the needs of their nation and other families whose politicians devote their entire resources to enriching their family. Marcos, the family which should never been able to rule again following the bloody regime of Ferdinand Marcos (he of the missus who owned 3000 pairs of designer brand shoes) are back in the driving seat after having been installed by amerika to do exactly that. The amerikans shopped desperately for a member of the political elite prepared to endanger their nation, but who didn’t have the Marcos surname to no avail, so once again Filipinos are stuck with a really bloody leader. Sure Duterte knocked off all the street level whizz dealers which I do not support, but at least he didn’t declare war on the masses willy nilly, on the grounds that they may be ‘politically unreliable’, which is mos def true of the Marcos mob.

Posted by: Debsisdead | Mar 16 2025 3:30 utc | 182 Sorry, this is just wrong. Bongbong (Bong Bong?) has won, as of now, so there is no geopolitical goal of keeping the Philippines from being neutral re PRC. That ship has sailed. Bongbong has targeted Duterte as part of a mop up campaign against the rivals of the Marcos family, to eliminate them permanently, lest Sara stage her own comeback. Marcos has put the Philippines firmly in the US camp, just as longstanding family policy dictates. Again, there is no op by nefarious US diplomats to reverse that by taking out the man who potentially interferes with their long-term plans. Taking sides with the Duterte family because they are the Philippine version of the Shinawatras of Thailand omits that Duterte never delivered any large scale social services to any significant sector of Philippine society, as when the Shinawatras subsidized rice farmers.
Also, as to the likelihood that Duterte’s murder campaign was like Marlon Brando in the movie Apocalypse Now, a genius assassinating all the so-called right enemies? I think that’s about as sensible as claiming that the US Phoenix Program in Vietnam really killed 20 000 VC. If there anti-drug campaign worked the way it works in my rural area, dealers with clout had the police take out their rivals for them…and the police targeted users above all. Mass murder campaigns, like mass arrests or mass deportations, are rarely marked by efficiency in their purported goals, much less justice. Worse, drug addiction is always a personal tragedy, but as a social crisis, it is apt to be moral panic mongering serving as a political diversion from real politics (who gets what? who gets got?)

He doesn’t even understand amerikan foreign policy despite the fact that vengeance has always been one of their primary go to’s. The Marcos’ mob who were installed by NED & usaid shenanigans, normally would have left a member of one of the other families alone as there are other families with more pull in the North of the Philippines where the Marcos mob derive their power from and they haven’t been punished like this. The fact is that amerika has chosen to make an example of Duterte so that no other future leader will make the mistake of being nice to China. This is classic amerikan foreign relations they took advantage of Marcos’ insecurity, wreaked revenge on Duterte for all the world to see and have painted Marcos into a corner as they will have kept evidence of his role in it, ‘just in case’. I see no point in arguing with a type who closes their mind to reality so I shan’t say any more.

The Kerch Bridge is a key symbol of the diversion of the Russian and Ukrainian states after the fall of the USSR. This has largely been memoryholed, but the predominant take when the Russians announced they were going to build it was mockery and dismissal.
It was an extraordinary risky megaproject because of the length of the bridge and the unstable and silty floor of the Kerch Strait. The USSR had tried and failed to maintain a bridge over the strait, so the idea that the significantly smaller Russian Federation would be capable of it seemed dubious, especially with the ambitious timeline the Russian government had proposed. If they succeeded, it would be the longest bridge in Europe and one of the most impressive projects ever completed by any Moscow centered government.
When the project was finished more or less on time and on budget, it demonstrated conclusively that the lost decade the Russians experienced in the 90s had been an aberration. The Russian government in the form we know today was capable of embarking on massive projects like its predecessor the USSR had been, and wasn’t fated for the decline and corruption that many post Soviet states seemed unable to escape.
The Ukrainians had a very hard time handling this, and a conspiracy theory that the bridge was non-functional or didn’t exist at all persisted for months after the project was completed. While its existence was eventually universally accepted, the bridge became a target for all the resentment and anger the Ukrainians felt towards their neighbor, who seemed to now be on an upwards trajectory very different from their own.
This is linked to other quirks of Ukrainian propaganda, like spreading the idea that the average Russian is significantly poorer and more backwards than the average Ukrainian. Some of these persist, but the existence of the Kerch Bridge remains a giant middle finger to the detractors of the Russian state, and one which they long to cut off.
