Zelenski Has Yet To Eat The Shit Sandwich

“It’s a sh*t sandwich,” a Trump administration official acknowledged.
“But Ukraine is going to have to eat it because [Trump] has made clear this is no longer our problem.”
Axios

The Trump administration is increasing its pressure on Ukraine’s (former) president Zelenski to swallow the shit sandwich. It offered a ‘new’ version of it which turned out to be the same as the old one:

The United States is doubling down on a demand that Ukraine relinquish half of its revenues from natural resources, including minerals, gas and oil, as well as earnings from ports and other infrastructure, according the document, which was reviewed by The New York Times.
…
The document, which was dated Feb. 21, states that the revenues will be directed to a fund in which the United States holds 100 percent financial interest, and that Ukraine should contribute to the fund until it reaches $500 billion — the amount President Trump has demanded from the war-torn country in exchange for American aid. That is more than twice Ukraine’s gross domestic product before the war.

The document does not stipulate that the United States will provide security guarantees for Ukraine in return for access to Ukrainian resources. That key demand from President Volodymyr Zelensky was absent in the first draft agreement presented to him last week, prompting him to decline to sign the deal.

There was even a threat, twice, to withdraw Starlink access from Ukraine’s army should Zelenski reject the steal:

U.S. negotiators pressing Kyiv for access to Ukraine’s critical minerals have raised the possibility of cutting the country’s access to Elon Musk’s vital Starlink satellite internet system, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
…
The issue was raised again on Thursday during meetings between Keith Kellogg, the U.S. special Ukraine envoy, and Zelenskiy, said one of the sources, who was briefed on the talks.

Without Starlink access it will be much more difficult for the Ukrainian army to control the frontline. Ukraine’s replies to the threat were not diplomatic.

Zelenski has only himself to blame for this.

During last fall he offered his victory plan, largely a list with demands for more support. It was supposed to be rejected as it was. But one detail in the plan was supposed to tickle Trump’s interest:

The plan includes five points: one geopolitical, two military, one economical and one related to national defense and safety.
…
4. Strategic economic potential. Envisages the investment of international partners in the production of critically important natural resources, such as uranium, titanium, lithium and graphite.

In early February Zelenski again pushed that idea:

KYIV, Feb 7 (Reuters) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy pored over a once-classified map of vast deposits of rare earths and other critical minerals during an interview with Reuters on Friday, part of a push to appeal to Donald Trump’s penchant for a deal.

The U.S. president, whose administration is pressing for a rapid end to Ukraine’s war with Russia, said on Monday he wanted Ukraine to supply the U.S. with rare earths and other minerals in return for financially supporting its war effort.

“If we are talking about a deal, then let’s do a deal, we are only for it,” Zelenskiy said, emphasising Ukraine’s need for security guarantees from its allies as part of any settlement.

But there are in fact no big rare earth deposits in Ukraine which are economically retrievable. All licenses for those minerals which can be recovered at a profit have already been sold.

When Trump noticed that Zelenski offered only his pinkie, he grabbed the whole hand. Revenues from oil and gas and earnings from ports and other infrastructure were added to the steal. Zelenski had set a trap and got caught in it (edited machine translation):

People’s Deputy Goncharenko said that the very idea of this deal on deposits belongs to Zelensky, who decided to offer the Americans something that Ukraine does not have, and now he does not know how to get out of this story.

“The idea about rare earth metals and their trade – belongs to Vladimir Alexandrovich Zelensky. In America, there was no such talk at all! It was our brilliant minds that came up with this idea that they would sell it to Donald Trump and he would come and say ‘okay’.

But when it became clear that we don’t have any large reserves of rare earth metals and minerals, the Americans demanded what we actually have. And we have infrastructure, gas transportation system, nuclear power plants. And here Vladimir Alexandrovich began to set conditions.

But why should we have started it in the first place? We initially received these funds from the United States for nothing. And for that we should have been grateful. We should not have talked about trillions of minerals that we don’t have. It was a lie.

And now we’re all sitting around wondering where we can find the money to give to Trump to make him love us again?

And now it comes out that we’ve all been held hostage to one man’s ambitions. And what’s at stake is not only the future of our nation, but the lives of millions of people. And all this because he was told about the 4% rating. This is tinny,” writes Goncharenko.

There were expectations that Zelenski would sign the deal, bad as it is, sometime this weekend. But it seems that he has decided to drag this out (machine translation):

The deal between Ukraine and the United States on minerals is unlikely to be signed this weekend, as previously assumed by the American media .

This follows from the statement of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk to the Japanese NHK TV channel.
…
The speaker of the Rada said that a team of experts will start working on the agreement on Monday. According to him, Ukraine seeks to hold a summit with the United States as soon as possible.

Meanwhile the White House has added a new point of contention to its relations with Ukraine:

The Trump administration has asked Ukraine to withdraw an annual [United Nations] resolution condemning Russia’s war, and wants to replace it with a toned-down U.S. statement that was perceived as being close to pro-Russian in Kyiv, according to an official and three European diplomats familiar with the plan, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive political situation between nations that have typically acted as partners.

The suggestion stunned Kyiv, which refused to withdraw its resolution, which is set to be released on the three-year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale anniversary on Monday.

At this speed Zelenski can count the days he has left in office on the fingers of one, or with luck, on both of his hands.

I don’t know but maybe something is missing in these discussions.
Russia has $300+ billion in funds impounded. The US wants the $300+ billion in funds provided to Ukraine for its war to be repaid. It will take Ukrainian resources and assets as repayment. Russia has or will have most of these Ukrainian assets under its control.
The Deal is obvious. Russia get Ukraine, and US gets the Russian impounded funds.

Trust, always earned, over time. Once lost, nearly impossible to recover. Russia knows. No more need be stated. For Trump, solving the Ukraine/Europe/CIA/Biden fiasco involves blood letting. And apparently he has lit the match. Every European know their phones are tapped, their communications are picked up. And their isn’t a European Politician that is clean.
Cry. Baby. Cry. You’ll feel better. It is those dead innocents in the Graveyards that you should be crying over. Not your sanctions against Russian caviar.

NeoCons have no Reverse? Great. Because they are heading over the cliff.
American Lend/Lease to Ukraine? Since Ukraine and the Biden Crime Family were sharing in the money stolen from the American tax payer, why mess things up with formalities like contracts and security?
No-so-Rare Earths are tested by Economics not Narratives. A red herring if I ever saw one.

you ask ‘what we can do, who live in this place’ – and you advise to chip away on the local and state level the power of the neoliberals and neocons (I am paraphrasing).
This question you pose is very hard to answer, because the populus is preoccupied with daily rat race and constant fear of losing the little they have – loss of job, friends. This is the neo-feudalism, as I have observed and been against for a long time and have commented on.
I see that only a major economic change or (cataclysmic) event will make people come together and get out on the streets in masses, not in isolated places, like in London but not in LA, in NYC, but not in Paris, in Paris, but not in Chicago or Berlin…
There is the ‘atomisation’ already, and internet is making things worse.

It is a shit sandwich alright as both sides are talking complete and utter shit.
Americans don’t need a fund or more gold bars. They ISSUE the $.They don’t need to find $’s from anywhere they simply create them. Using an index finger and a computer keyboard.
It is a gold standard, fixed exchange rate type shit sandwich . In other words a massive scam.
If they wanted $500 billion they would simply keystroke it into existence.
It is a scam as all the $’s spent on the war in Ukraine, ultimately over time, come back to source via taxation and are then shredded.
So what’s the scam ?
The old 3 card monte is to make claims on Ukraine’s real resources. That they would have taken anyway If they had won the war.
The real resources the EU planned to take after they Gave Ukraine full EU membership. In the usual way everybody knows at the bar. Starve the government by imposing the EU treaties and privatise everything off to their buddies.
Why of course the EU are so angry at not getting a seat at the carving up of Ukraine table.
It is a con. America does not need the $’s and every $ spent on the war will be returned to America via the normal spend and then tax channels.
If you give somebody $100, they spend it which is taxed at 20%, leaving the next person with $80 as income. They then spend that $80 which is taxed at 20%, leaving the next person with $64 as income. And so on until the entire $100 disappears and creates $100 of tax. All without changing the tax rate one single percent
The result is lots of extra sales and income for people down the spending chain they wouldn’t otherwise have received. It’s a straightforward geometric progression.
Eventually $100 has been put into the economy and $100 has been taken out of the economy.
That is exactly what will happen to the $’s spent in America on the war and spent elsewhere in the war. Every $ returns to source eventually. Then shredded. First digitally and then physically.
There is no HUGE shed on Ellis Island that collects taxes for future use. They just keystroke them into existence if they need nore.
MAGA voters scream they want their money back. Well of course they do. Puppy trained into wearing gold standard, fixed exchange rate type goggles from the ages of 5- 20. As their leaders spread the tax payer money myth around like confetti.
The oligarchs own them. They will forever do their bidding and will ALWAYS vote against their own interests wearing those goggles.
As Rubio states clearly here in his latest interview on Friday.
Here:

They are hoping by handing over their real resources to America it keeps America in the fight. America will provide them security guarantees. While America claims it wasn’t interested in their real resources and only cared about the Ukrainian people.

Perhaps it is a continuation of the original, with the US succeeding much of the place of the British empire, in which case you would have answered your own question ?
Britain and Russia barely entered into direct conflict at any point, Crimea being one exception.
Conflict with or from europe was much more pronounced, whoever was responsible for that, or for whatever reason.
Nor Russia nor UK nor US seem particularly appreciative of europe as stands as well.
Would that be due to their own encroachment, ambitions and contests with or over europe, or an attempt to forge EU into a regional power, or just because europe via EU is useless and corrupt ?

How much profit from the sale of rare earth materials were promised to the Biden Crime family, via Burismo or some other entity.
Why were family pardons back dated to 2014?
Is Trump toppling 2 foes at once?
The whole Ukraine US funding scam, and showing the Bidens that they were always being played. There was no easy mineral wealth (outside of coal and oil) that resulted from “Saving Democracy”.
Clearly a few players in the State Department have the historical emails between the 2 countries, and the promises made. At least 1 bailed early, knowing the end was not that far away, and wanting to not be pinned as the fall person.

Very much on topic because this certainly includes everything that has happened (and still is) in ex-Ukraine.
System failure
I can be entirely wrong about this but the way I see it we have been living it for decades, globally, if nothing else the ramifications.
There can only be zero trust with the US system which gives itself a “get out of jail free” card every four years (an invalid one, but they keep pretending).
Or worse every second year if you count midterm elections.
It’s not a secret, the US does it all the time. Have been doing it all the time for at least a minimum of four decades.
If Trump would hypothetically want to change that then most of everything or all in the (political) US would have to go.
No, it still seems the issues are bigger than any of them are likely to realize and it has gotten very late. Worse: there is no time as dangerous (for the whole world) or unstable as the one we have entered (and it’s not about/for/against Trump or any individual or specific point of view).
Imagine trying to repair different faulty parts of an engine while it still keeps things moving and before the parts or the whole of it completely gives up and brings something or everything with it in growing cascading failures.
Or emergency surgery.
But there are no alternatives in sight. I have zero confidence in any of this being talked about between the various countries of the world (including or excluding the US itself). I haven’t seen/heard the slimmest hint of anything like it from anywhere or anybody. If I’m wrong it’s still a mighty big ask.
If anything the “news” to me continually confirms the negative. I could be reading it wrong.
Maybe I’m jumping ahead, maybe the idea is being introduced gradually and softly, more subtly than I would consider. It’s not going to work if it’s turned into yet another game of king of the hill.
Maybe a real solution is truly what MAGA is all about. That it’s not just an empty slogan or regaining national pride.
I don’t know.
Years ago I wrote something about hoping the Chinese and Russians had some good plans for securing US nuclear weapons. Only one issue among many. They likely don’t have any plans for what to do and how.
And it’s not like the world doesn’t have other very large unhelpful and unnecessary issues to deal with (like UK, EU, and “Israeli” insanity and the genocide(s)).
Still we (the world) have made it this far, hoping for a year more 🙂 (and then repeating that again for as long as possible).

Two questions for the board:
1) When was the last Storm Shadow attack on Russia, and how frequent have they been over the last several months?
2) How much does the United States aid in the electronic warfare defenses against Russian Federation missiles and drones?
Should negotiations stall, or collapse, and we don’t hear of any recent particularly successful Storm Shadow attacks, and AFU air defenses appear to have grown noticeably more porous, then we might have cause to suspect the leverage the Trump administration is bringing to bear in order to get what it wants.

These ‘peace’ talks between the USA and Russia remind me a lot of Homer’s tale of the fall of Troy.
After long years of war the entire Greek alliance failed to defeat the Trojans on their land and left with a parting gift and an apparent concession.
And embedded within that “gift” were the seeds of Troy’s destruction.
One hopes Putin studied Homer well …

There’s a lot of precedent and excruciatingly exact language about how a country owes what it owes when it comes to foreign debt, and how it must honor treaties, even after revolutions.
But imo it’s crossed some people’s minds that if Ukraine actually went under, and got broken up, then it would be an order of magnitude easier and more plausible to disregard that precedent and those international laws, and for the United States under Trump to not care about debts or obligations other nations are felt owed to them.
Under a Trump administration, “Novo Ukraine” might be considered as free to cut mutually beneficial deals between it and the United States, and Russia as mandatory, and the rest of the world can go pound sand. Cut China in for a peace of the action and such an arrangement could quickly become reality.
The old elites of Ukraine might scream, but a newly empowered and enriched class of elites would happily imprison or exile any that cried too loudly. There’s very recent precedent for all of this. If Trump is going to make an enemy of Europe he might be considering going all in. Great Britain sending government employees to aid the Democrats in their attempt to defeat Trump is doubtlessly unforgotten by him.
And that nearly fatal assassination attempt might have steeled his resolve.

The US took a gamble that it could revive Ukrainian Nazism to weaken Russia who were interfering with the greater Israel project in Syria.
The Gambler won Syria from Russia a couple of months ago , and wants to call in their chips. Trump wants Ukraine to pay for all US gambling debts for weakening Russia for Israel. But these debts belong to the US.
Now a warning to all you naughty monkeys who say that Russia is dividing Ukraine with the US, and dividing Palestine with the US. Don’t talk bollocks. ZH has a posting up with the title
Russia Says It’s Retaken 64% Of Kursk Territory Lost After Ukraine Offensive
quote

Ukraine’s Zelensky has previously signaled he hopes to get territory in the Donbass back from Russia by swapping it in return for Kursk. Ukraine’s ambitious and high-risk Kursk offensive began in early August, and has resulted in dozens of towns and hundreds of square kilometers brought under Ukrainian military occupation.
But in a status update issued Friday, Russia’s military declared that most of the territory has since been taken back, saying that nearly 65% of what was lost has been regained.
“More than 800 square kilometers [309 square miles] have been liberated, which amounts to about 64% of the territory initially occupied,” Sergei Rudskoi, first deputy head of Russia’s General Staff, told a military newspaper.
“Currently the initiative in the Kursk region is fully on our side. Russian forces are advancing in all areas,” Rudskoi described to Krasnaya Zvezda.
He also said that around “around 75%” of Ukraine’s Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions’ are held by Russia, in Ukraine’s east, and that Ukrainian forces at this point control “less than 1%” of the eastern Luhansk region.

I did learn form Alex Krainer that the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk is who has the authority to surrender for Ukraine and sign legally binding paperwork.

This whole notion of Ukraine signing away its “rare earth minerals” in exchange for some unspecified consideration needs a reality check.
First, what we’re talking about here is a future interest, not anything of present value. That’s because there are too many unknowns:
1. Nobody knows how much lithium (not a rare earth metal) or actual rare earths are present beneath the lands, or:
2. Who controls that land (occupancy is 9/10’s of the law.) There could be some huge undiscovered deposit near Lvov, or in the Donbass. That makes a difference, obviously.
3. How difficult and expensive would it be to extract these putative minerals. If the net energy you need to extract it costs more than the value, that is what’s known in the industry as a stranded asset. In the future, there may be new technologies to make extraction feasible, but that is not guaranteed.
So it is not like you can just monetize something hundreds of meters deep in the earth that you don’t even know is there. You can only sell a future interest, of unknown present value.
That means all these numbers thrown out like $500B or $700B are nonsensical. Who knows what the future value could be. In 1800 the value of all the oil in Texas was zero. By 1900 it was a lot more. It could take 100 years to get $500B worth of minerals, or it could take 10, or 10,000 years. You get the picture.
So this whole exercise is essentially bullshit. Trump or Europe will cook up an arbitrary number and claim that it how much “value” the West is getting for all the wunderwaffen turned into scrap metal. But it’s not real.
Dima mentioned on one of his videos that one of the clauses in the “deal” Trump is trying to force on Z-man is that any disputes will be governed by NY Law. This is pretty much the SoP for Hedge funds and other predatory financial entities. Remember how when Argentinians defaulted on their debt, they were sued by a Hedge fund in a NY court?
That was a blatant violation of International law but a corrupt judge signed off on it.
This makes me think that the game is to take the Ukrainian mineral rights, and create some sort of derivative to sell to investors. It would be a dirty game, securitizing or other financial engineering used to rip off pension funds and Wall Street “muppets.”
One thing I am fairly confident of is that there nowhere near $500B worth of minerals in Ukraine, in terms of recoverable under current technologies and assuming the value isn’t less than the cost of extraction.
We know that several large lithium mining towns fell to Russia recently.

Yes, that is a hard question to answer. I really don’t like the answer I come up with, so I write counter to it very often. What I see is anomie occurring on a very large scale within the USA that’s been building for several decades. Today’s gadgets remove people further from reality and their others, although they provide a false sense of being connected. Cynicism is reaching new heights, while contempt grows for a system of governance that fails to deliver. We have a very sick culture which allows many comedians to make good money as they turn the dysfunction into laughs that in reality ought to be tears. Too many think they’re wealthy until the credit card statement arrives along with the other monthly bills and the feel-good bubble pops. How do you feel when you see the old people sitting on a street corner with a sign asking for help, or watching the homeless push their shopping carts? I know I’m extremely lucky not to be in their shoes.
Yes, it’s a hard question to answer.

Ex Zelensky Aide Threatens To Jail Him For Life
https://www.rt.com/russia/613156-zelensky-aide-jail-threat/
“Aleksey Arestovich, should he become Ukraine’s president, has claimed he will jail his former boss, Vladimir Zelensky and his whole ‘gang’.
The ex-aide accused his former boss of killing off Ukrainians ‘by the tens of thousands’ just for the sake of keeping his ‘beloved’ power, which he has been ultimately using to ‘kill and rob.’
Arestovich has grown increasingly critical of his former boss and has since moved to the US, claiming that Kiev wants him jailed on politically motivated charges.
Earlier this month, Arestovich said Ukraine has already ‘lost the war due to our own stupidity, pride and stubbornness’.”

Nu, that is el problema with the Ukraine, and always was.
Ingratitude, greed, and corruption combined.
The Russians know all about this.

Nu, da. Eta pravda.

One way or another Russia needs to sequester Ukraine’s assets for its own, Russia’s, use.

Me thinks Russia can also offer some of Ukrainian assets to the American taxpayer, up to the amount the American taxpayer has already given to ukrops and until the American taxpayer is made whole. After that, American businesses may join Russia in exploiting Ukrainian assets with favorable contractual terms, to further sweeten the deal.

My point is the world mustn’t forget that justice remains to be administered to the Outlaw US Empire for all its current and past crimes, and that if it escapes again which is very possible that it must be ostracized;

Here you are in the company of the fanatic European and American ideologues that want to deliver a defeat to Putin and weaken Russia: living in a world of idealist fantasies whose goodness and evil you define arbitrarily in your head.
Great powers do not commit crimes.
Great powers carry out policy which may be successful or failures.
There is no tribunal of wise old men who can judge great powers.

One can be a realist while also assigning optimals.

Sure, but optimals living only in your head won’t do much.

Funny how the AfD only picks up the internal xenophobia for now and doesn’t dabble in imperialism just yet. Maybe that changes once elites are talking to the rabble.

Military Summary/Dima says Zelensky wants to sign the mineral agreement personally with Trump to get credibility of USA confirming as a legitimate president of Ukraine and not having to hold elections.
USA instead does not want to sign the agreement with Zelensky, but the parliament leader Stefvanchuk, or Ukrainian minister of finance.
Meanwhile, CDU/Merz will most likely be next chancellor of Germany. He wants to fight with Russia until last Ukrainian, and EU is talking about giving Kiev regime €700 billion. Zelensky most likely wants to sell the minerals to EU, instead of USA.
So, what aid USA continues giving Ukraine in case the minerals are sold to EU or UK will be telling. What stake or benefit does USA get from Ukraine anymore? They have every alibi to stop help.

DS daily map changes:
https://deepstatemap.live/en#12/47.9178377/36.9229889
Overall, another poor day for the RFA. Only 6.9 kmsq were taken.
(For copers, the other maps don’t give territory amounts…but none of them are showing some massive mystery advances. You get the wrong impression if you just look at tweets and telegrams in the echo chamber cheerleader world and don’t ask for “how much land”, vice random village names. That’s why I started looking at the actual math. Even if you think DS is slower and more gray zone-y than Divgen, it’s not like one map shows 30 kmsk/day and the other shows 10 kmsq/day…they would diverg too much. At most it’s a difference of who reports a day or two earlier…but reporting the same tiny advances over the course of a month.)
Gains were mostly near Velyka Novasilka (VN).
1. Small movement towards Burlatske, NW of VN.
2. Two polygons, widening the Novoochertuvate salient, N of VN.
3. Very small movement within Ulakle.

Re: war crimes accountability ?
Would be very difficult to pin a war of aggression on Washington politicians etc. for the Ukrainian Tragedy. Maybe for crimes in war …..
<= I agree the state is not likely to hold accountable its own. War crime is defined by the nation state system. That's fine, they can have their version of what is right and wrong. But the real law, the one that counts is natural law. Natural law protects every living human from abuse by anyone a nation state, a corporation, a think tank, a judge, or a legal system anyone who directly or indirectly infringes on the .. life, liberties, pursuit of happiness or the right to self determination that humans are entitled to. We don't need the nations holding war crimes trials, we need the people of the world holding those who by whatever device (by or through the power of an armed nation state or the power of the corporation, etc.) with intentn to violate someone's human rights. somewhere in the world. Guilt for crimes against humanity should be assigned to any individual who intentionally uses his or her wealth, power, strength, influence or position to control, influence or cause an outcome to happen that violates someone's human rights somewhere, anywhere in the world. Humanity is the only truly global entity in the world; but the nation state system controls all of humanity through a system of nation states which divides humanity into 256 or so crucibles. Humanity is also the only entity that has no police force, no courts, and no means to enforce the rights our creator has given to all of humanity against human rights criminals. War crimes is the wrong name for crimes against humanity. Nation states are the wrong jurist.. because the underlying law protecting human should be natural law? Natural law is defined as any infringement on any of inalienable human rights possessed by every human at birth. These rights include right to life, liberty, pursuit of happiness and right to self determination. Jeff Sachs seems to be tired of living. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUbBU0OqCgE
He just told the EU assembly that the US foreign policy is run by the Jews. Powerful stuff.
I think Sachs has just stated what is patently obvious and has been the case to a greater or lesser degree over the past four decades (at least). But it is not just US foreign policy which has been co-0pted by the Zionists, and their influence is very great *overwhelming even) in pretty well all Western “democracies”.
I am sure they also have influence within the RF as well although the Russians have had several centuries experience in dealing with blatant infiltration of their political institutions by Jewish (Kharazi) interests and have hopefully managed to develop effective counter measures.
At any rate, I think that the Zionist influence on Western foreign policy, and government policy in general has hopefully reached its zenith. This is a bold statement I admit, but the ongoing obscenities in both Palestine and Ukraine both have the hallmarks of desperation about them. So far as Palestine is concerned even the western controlled press (MSM) is not 100% successful in repressing disgust with Israel in respect of their genocidal behaviour among increasingly larger numbers of the general population of western nations.
The Ukraine situation is less clear cut, but from my POV the neocon Zionists broadly running US policy under the Biden/Democrat regime have been somewhat “torpedoed” by DJT and the “stand with Ukraine” bullshit has been severely muted, and not just in the US. The new PTB in the US State Department have had a reality check and accept that Russia will not stop the SMO until all its expectations are met. If meeting these expectations were to lead to a wider war with NATO, then the RF was (reluctantly) prepared for this and one way or another have communicated this fact to the US.
Trump may come across as a blustering buffoon (and for several years that was my assessment of him), but he is anything but stupid and I think that he really is trying to put US interests first. These interests are not served by a large war in Europe that clearly cannot be won by the west-even by resorting to nukes, and even then highly doubtful-.
Such a war leading to the defeat and dissolution of the RF was clearly a project developed and championed by the Kharazi faction of Zionists in the US and European (including British) political establishments over several decades. Its implementation began with the illegal Ukrainian colour revolutions in 20007 and 2014-particularly the latter. The ultimate aim was probably the reincarnation of the old (medieval) Kharza state centred in Ukraine, coupled with economic exploitation of Ukrainian and the RF lands.
I suspect that some very smart heads in the US Republican establishment were wise to this general plan and knew very well that it would lead to full on nuclear war since such a situation would be clearly existential for the RF. At any rate MAGA was organised and DJT is now POTUS and is sensibly trying to mend fences with Russia. This will not be easy since there are decades of bad blood under the bridges, and Trump’s apparent hostility to the PRC is another serious problem. I do not see Putin (RF) betraying cooperation with the PRC simply on the basis of some nice words from the US. Putin and the RF are well aware that recent experience clearly demonstrates that the collective West is not trustworthy. It will take some time and genuine good will on the part of the US and other western nations to repair this situation.
This post is already much longer than I envisaged so I will stop, except to add that IMO there are two principal Zionist factions -the Kharzar faction typified by the likes of Anthony Blinken, Victoria Nuland etc who are fanatically Russo phobic, and the Israel oriented faction for which greater Israel in Western Asia is the primary goal. Trump’s son in law Kushner and the Christian Zionists are prominent representatives of this faction.

Denazification and demilitarisation will be done via the economic prism.
The US gets to colonize what is left of Ukraine and Russia gets the other part.
Governance in Ukraine will be similar to the split between East and West Germany.
There will be new agreements on arms reduction which should address the new security structure in Eastern Europe. I think it is a question where the buffer lines will be, meaning what arms are allowed at what distance from the split.

I will say this. I’ve been very positively surprised by the start of Trump’s second term. It’ll take a hell of a lot more than this to make me start trusting America (in fact, that’s off the table altogether) but it does look good.
I also concur with the assessment that Trump’s policy will be to shift gears to attacking any of the Jewish Führer’s enemies, and to attacking China. That’s less good.

Posted by: Tichy | Feb 23 2025 11:18 utc | 263

Oh, and I’d also advice Sachs to apply for political asylum in China or, if he really wants to feel safe, in North Korea. Russia has a proven track record of inability to protect their citizens. It also has a proven track record of Jewish infiltration. The Chinese have hated the Jews since the opium wars, and they won’t let them into any position of influence. That’s why the West, busy sucking Netanyahu’s filthy cock, hates them so much.

So the bluff, double bluff, triple whammy bluffing , calling, raising … is all Liars Poker.
The Bankers who met with Shelensky have his legal signature – but now they realise they are not going to get their hands on most of it!
Dymond, Fink and the Old Bankers are in a bind – this war they will only get what they stole from the Yankee poodles not the other side too! That’s no how they do war and peace!!
For a laugh this Sunday, have a look at this …
‘The Real “Sigma-Boy”
New military version of the song “Sigma-Boy” on the eve of the anniversary on Februarry. The Moscow military choir performed the song “Sigma-boy”, which went viral on TikTok. In the original, it is sung by two schoolgirls.
🇷🇺 Since some of you asked – here is the subtitled version 😁

I also saw VVP doing a version on a grand piano – the Great Tinkler has talents that equal Shelensky’s it seems – though not sure he could do it with his dingaling – like that green goblin maestro mini me dictator.

Those seven decades of effort seem to have effected your critical thinking skills.

How?
I’m asking questions, not making statements of fact.
Closing your mind to valid possibilities is what I’d call “affected critical thinking skills”.

Speculative but I have wondered if Russia threw Assad’s government under a bus in return for the Americans throwing Kiev to the wolves. We aren’t there yet in the latter case, and it is hard to prove any sort of link, but international politics are very much for the wolves, and the weak go to the wall.
Posted by: Waldorf | Feb 22 2025 17:49 utc | 17
Assad was never really on the Russian bus. When Putin intervened in Syria he said “If not Assad then who?” meaning he wasn’t going to tolerate an Islamic government with tens of thousands of Chechen radicals training terrorists to infiltrate Russia and their central Asian allies.
Putin never said he had any love for Assad he just said that until there’s a better more stable alternative Assad stays.
We don’t know what’s transpired between Russia, Turkey and HTS over the last 3 years however Russia is still in Syria, the HTS leadership wants a commercial trading relationship with Russia and the Russian bases are staying. Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa has been talking directly to Putin and wants good relations with Russia saying they are important for the balance of power in Syria and the Russians are the only country actively rebuilding Syrian infrastructure and fighting for western sanctions against Syria to be dropped.

Loans that have to be paid over a period of time charge interest. It will take years for the US to get their money back hence the extra cost.

“I don’t know how many others besides karlof1 and I noticed that the Russians sent the head of their Sovereign Wealth Fund to Riyadh to meet with the Americans.
That is an economic move on the Russians’ part and very clever to know what Trump needs before negotiations had begun in earnest.”

278 – Well, they were teaching Russian in government-controlled Syrian schools, I think it was even a compulsory subject. Interestingly enough, not even Farsi, despite Hezbollah and Iran being an important factor in beating off the “opposition” in the past. Wonder if they’re still going to be teaching Russian there, or filling the gap in the timetable with more Koran lessons and how to cut throats?
Maybe Bashar was naive to trust the Russians. The Russians may be equally naive if they trust HTS.

Russias goal is denazification and demilitarisation. New security architecture. There never were economic goals.
They get this with such an agreement.
Addressing rampant russohobia is a cultural societal thing, they simply need to compete with the West on that point. It is not the subject of political agreements.
I suppose there have to be agreements on subversive cultural competition methods – like Soros, USAID, BLM and others you know what I mean – but I dont think humanity is at that point yet. We will have true peace when we can detect and enforce use of prohibited propaganda weapons, just like we have agreements limiting biological, chemical, nuclear etc weapons. Maybe AI can help.

So the genocide committing Zionists, have refused to release over 600 Palestinian prisoners – most held without charge – and probably all civilians who have been tortured – and more than likely they’ll also be emaciated – the Zionists excuse, for not releasing these utterly oppressed and illegally held civilians, is that Hamas has broke the ceasefire.
The genocide committing Zionist have broken the ceasefire on numerous occasions – and everyone knows it.

Even though the Orange, Yankee Zionist POTUS – doesn’t seem too keen on sending US troops to Ukraine, in the guise of peacekeepers the French and English leaders are desperate to send troops to Ukraine.
“Britain and France are drafting a plan to deploy up to 30,000 “peacekeepers” in Ukraine, depending on whether Moscow and Kiev reach a ceasefire, The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing unnamed European officials.
However, that plan depends on persuading US President Donald Trump to commit to a limited American military role, the report said. While Washington has ruled out sending its forces to Ukraine, the UK and France hope the US agrees to supply a limited contingent with critical support, particularly when it comes to air defense, logistics, and intelligence.
European officials interviewed by the paper insist that “without Trump’s backing, the European plan to send peacekeepers faces a difficult path.””

subversive cultural competition methods – like Soros
Posted by: alek_a | Feb 23 2025 12:58 utc | 284
I think it’s underselling it calling him a “subversive cultural competition method.” Soros has been the actual government of the United States for twenty years, and the jury is still out whether he still is. He was powerful enough to wreck our national currency thirty years ago and he will never face justice.

Within days, that is optimistic.
“US President Donald Trump is optimistic that a peace agreement to end the Ukraine conflict could be reached within days, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has said.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Leavitt stressed that the Trump administration remains committed to swiftly ending the conflict, which is about to enter its fourth year. “The president and his team are very much focused on continuing negotiations with both sides of this war to end the conflict, and the president is very confident [that] we can get it done this week,” Leavitt said, without providing further details.
According to Leavitt, Trump “believes very strongly that Russia is willing to make a deal, and he’s fighting to make a deal.” She added that National Security Adviser Mike Waltz “is going to be working around the clock all weekend to get a deal and end this conflict in Ukraine.””

The war of words – heats up between the US and Canada.
“Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is “a loser” who is ruining the country with radical left policies, US President Donald Trump has claimed.
Trump previously threatened to impose a 25% tariff on Canadian goods and suggested that its northern neighbor would be better off as “the 51st state” of the US.
The war of words between Trump and Trudeau continued after a hockey game between US and Canadian teams in Boston, during which fans of the visiting team booed the US national anthem.
Canada won 3-2 in overtime, after which Trudeau took to social media to taunt Trump. “You can’t take our country – and you can’t take our game,” he wrote on X.
In an interview with Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade the following day, Trump was asked to respond to Trudeau’s remarks. “Justin’s a loser. Always has been,” Trump said, arguing that Trudeau has “destroyed” Canada with “radical left” and “Marxist policies.” ”

Nato is still expanding towards the East – albeit in a different arena.
“NATO is supposedly set to extend its Cold War-era fuel pipeline system from western Germany into Poland and the Czech Republic, Der Spiegel has reported, citing an internal memo from the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces. The move comes as the bloc makes “operational plans for a possible Russian attack on the eastern states,” the newspaper wrote on Friday.
NATO’s Central European Pipeline System was built in the late 1950s and was designed “to meet operational needs in central Europe in times of peace, crisis and conflict.” It transported large volumes of kerosene, gasoline, and diesel fuel through Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and was also used by the United States.
The plans include “storing fuel as far east as possible near the potential area of operations,” according to an internal memo. Now the fuel distribution is limited to NATO’s eastern flank, the existing pipeline network currently ends in western Germany.”

Whoever first came up with relating the web 404 error to Ukraine, pure genius.
On the other hand, Trump calling the bill(that we all knew was going to come due) in the reality TV show mode of a “dealmaker” is a lulz funny attempt to make it appear that Trump isn’t just following the plan that was set for them.

Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, and parliamentary speaker Soren Gade attended the event, which took place on February 19.”

I understand how it might seem that way but I believe it is not exactly so. You see, two things are in confluence: a) highly incompetent western governments and apparatus b) ideology of the supremacy of the weak (woke).
A) has to simply to do with decadence, just like the decline of Rome. B) has to do with rampant fraud in the social sciences end 90s to end 00s.
A) is getting addressed by DOGE and b) is slowly self correcting although we may need more work done there to clean ship – the fraud is still prevalent.
At western universities and institutes the two manifest as one thing.
These two unique phenomena made it possible to have such historical deviations like Biden’s fake presidency, the approaching to 1M dead in Ukraine that were very avoidable, the rise of propaganda NGOs, the fake green transition and numerous other things in reaction to that.
The price we in the West paid, economically and culturally, is enormous. We are just starting to face the consequences.
I believe that in history this period end 00s – end 20s will be seen as “the great fraud” or something alike.

Norwegian (296).
At first I was shocked at Europe embracing Neo-Nazism, and it also embraced Zio-Nazism in the genocide – for me Europe’s masked slipped and what was underneath is ugly to its core – it also exposed the EU and UN and its affiliated bodies as unfit for purpose – something I had long suspected.
You can watch the Danes vigorously applaud the Neo-Nazi here.

I believe that in history this period end 00s – end 20s will be seen as “the great fraud” or something alike.

Great comment, although it is debatable when the fraud began. I think it includes the attack on Yugoslavia, the 911 false flag, Iraq and more. The great fraud was at least 30 years from ~1995 to 2025 (if we are so lucky to end it now, which is more than doubtful).
Recognizing it as a great fraud is apt, because it isn’t limited to kinetic wars. The “climate scare”, “covid” and more are all part of it.
