Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Looting The ‘Allies’

With regards to Trump attempting to land grab Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal, Agit Papadakis offers some interesting observation:

The Bozo [Trump] Doctrine, the Bibi [Netanyahoo] Doctrine, and the Tayyip [Erdogan] Doctrine, are all converging on a new post-Westphalian world disorder of imperialism gone nuts.

For the cucked vassals of the old order this means either grow a pair and resist or lose every shred of sovereignty, dignity, and material comfort you have left. Cucks like the EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea and wounded weak states like Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq are all suffering the torment of being raped and ravaged by powerful rogue states.

Bozo didn't lose a minute to join the melée. He looked at the economic train wreck he was inheriting and decided it was now or never to hoist the Jolly Roger over his big but old and rusty military machine and what's left of the once mighty dollar's hegemony.

His first victims would be the weak and cucked vassals who poured their sorry excuse for a military and their treasure into the Ukraine black hole. Bozo knows that his unfurling of the black banner will automatically dissolve those BS "alliances" with weak vassals that were never but a frilly negligée concealing America's naked imperialism, as revealed by the the lonely squeak of the French chihuahua protesting Bozo's Greenland grab and threatening to resist.

The cucked chihuahuas of the Rules Based Order are suddenly up against Judgement Day, naked and defenseless between two raging behemoths, Amerisrael and Russia, while an even bigger and scarier one, China, looms over everybody else.

It's the 19th century with nukes and hypersonics and space jets, which would normally be followed by the world wars of the 20th. But with 21st century speed, it shouldn't take longer than a decade if that.

Agit's rant refers to a 'based' thread 'On American expansionism' by Russians With Attitude:

The incoming administration seems to have a more realistic image of the state of American hegemonial decline and wants to take proactive steps to try to counteract and reverse it, breathing new life into the American Global Empire.

The world that existed in 1991-2022 does not exist anymore. It's not coming back. You can just invade your neighbor. You can just fire missiles at international shipping lanes. You can just threaten to annex members of your military alliance. “You can just do things”, as the techbros like to say. The mirage of a post-historical order that only has to be policed from time to time but is never seriously challenged has disappeared. What did you think canceling the End of History meant? Vibes? Papers? Essays?

America's vassals WILL have to confront this state of things and make hard decisions about their future. This means reckoning with their geopolitical impotence and either embracing dependency with open eyes or seeking pathways to autonomy that will inevitably involve risk, sacrifice, and a recalibration of their national priorities.

The era of coasting on borrowed security and ideological rhetoric is over. What lies ahead is a world where historical agency must be reclaimed or forever relinquished, and for many, the question may not be whether they are ready to make that leap, but whether they even remember how. America has now understood this — and is mentally preparing to switch back to the cold logic that comes with actual History. The times, they are a-changin'.

The unilateral moment has ended. Russia, India and China have become too rich and too powerful to be looted. U.S. vassals are now by far the easier target.

Trump's ideas of taking from the 'allies' is not knew. The U.S. plundering of its vassals has been ongoing for some time.

The instigation of the war in Ukraine can be interpreted as a large U.S. looting operation of its European 'allies'.

Biden was also quite successful when he blew up Nord Stream. (This was btw the second time the U.S. destroyed a Russia to Germany pipeline. An analytical book available on the first incident in 1982 had been written by Anthony Blinken!)

The weaklings in the German and EU government did not even dare protest. They instead condemned their people to pay horrendous prices for U.S. fracking gas. On top of that they were pressed to buy U.S. weapons to feed the war in Ukraine.

Things did not go as well as planned with the war in Ukraine but the U.S. is still winning from it.

I’m not inclined to do that student debate all over again and I’m not even sure if you’re joking or serious. Anyway not even the most fanatic leninist would call Lenin a libertarian socialist. That’s what he labelled “left opposition”, which was to be eliminated.
I doubt you would read all the rich literature about Lenin & the left opposition but others who might be interested could start with Paul Avrich (ed.): The Anarchists in the Russian Revolution.
Libertarian socialists, of which the anarchists form the greater part, were in opposition to Lenin, but generally acknowledge the Russian sentiment as much closer to their own than the Western sentiment. They must not be confused with American libertarianists, who are in fact extremely conservative.

Wood for the trees. Yankee Doodle friends.
The whining that emanates from THE Settler Colonialists outta Europe for centuries and from its greatest amalgamation of multinational invasions over decades, USA and the 5+1 Eyes – about the subject of imperilaism, colonialism, forced and unforced migration to these colonial lands is … just looney tunes cartoonish waffle.
That such baby ‘nations’ that are at best mongrels not even centuries in age whine and whinge having tantrums about being ‘invaded’ – or having some ‘special’ ‘god given’ right for having run away from their original native homelands – to pretend being some new shiny human ‘race’ , jumping up and down about a ‘democracy’ that only applies to others … just get a fucking grip children!

10 year ended the week at 4.76%
Canuck – thank you for your informed response. Let me try to answer:
To repeat – at those levels of interest ; 35% of Federal Revenue in FY 2025 will be dedicated to paying interest on Federal Debt.
Posted by: Exile | Jan 11 2025 3:27 utc | 132

$US govt received $4.92 trillion in revenue and paid $1.046 trillion in debt service-that is roughly only 21% of revenues in 2024-your idea of 35% in 2025 has not occurred yet and so 35% is way too much in my opinion.
Answer: the steep increase is due to rolling over 1% – 2% debt into 4%-5% debt. Note also some discrepancy between our respective figures (18% vs. 21%) is likely due to fiscal year versus calendar year timing.
Secondly de dollarization in the long term is great but in the short term it may force the Empire into WW3
Good point. I’m praying that the ‘insolvency” of the Federal Gov’t happens faster than the War Party can react. TBD.
1.”With the Federal Reserve holding benchmark rates at their highest in 23 years, the government has laid out $1.049 trillion on debt service, up 30% from the same period a year ago and part of a projected $1.158 trillion in payments for the full year.”(2),
30% increase in interest payments for last year is going to continue into 2025, as low interest debt rolls over into higher interest debt. . However, taking another 30% increase as a baseline, we get to $1.5 trillion interest on $36 trillion debt….and a 30% share of, say, $5 trillion Federal Revenue in calendar year 2025.
I’m treating that 30% as a minimum for the following reasons:
1) The bond market can do this simple math also. They are revaluing Treasury debt as having higher risk. That’s why interest rates on Treasuries have increased despite the Central Bank trying to lower the rates. The 10 year at 4.7% is simple shocking.
2) Federal Government will add even more debt in 2025. This will spook the bond market even more.
Conclusion: Projecting out these simple figures, results in a 2027 estimate of around 40-50% of Federal Revenue being dedicated to interest payments. Thats catastrophic.

Yes, I realize that the short term paper that was overly issued in the pandemic is being retired now and replaced with longer term bonds with greater interest will increase the debt interest payments but 35% seems a bit high-however, if Trump comes in with new stimulus tax breaks-which is likely- it may occur.
Regardless, USA’s huge debt is a ticking time bomb will be set off in the next few years.

How the USA sanctioned itself in Ukraine
.
The seizure of Russian assets by the USA has, according to experts, harmed the USA more than Russia.
.
So far, only experts have noticed that international investors have already reacted; this is hardly noticeable in everyday life, because such processes take time. That is why I find an article from the Asia Times interesting, in which an expert shows how much the seizure of Russian assets by the USA has already harmed the USA itself.
I have translated the article, but before translating I would like to remind you that the problem is well known in the USA. The ideologues of the US Democrats have largely ignored the problem so far, but the Trump team is well aware of it, as shown by Trump’s threat in September when he threatened countries that are trying to find alternatives to the dollar with punitive tariffs and other countermeasures.
.
The fact that the BRICS, which Trump’s threat was primarily aimed at, have barely reacted to this and are clearly not intimidated shows how much the power of the dollar and thus of the USA has already declined.
Now let’s move on to the translation of the Asia Times article.
Start of translation:
US yields are rising as foreign central banks avoid US Treasury bonds! after the seizure of Russian assets.
Rising US Treasury bond yields are the main driver of global markets: they are depressing stock prices, driving up the US dollar exchange rate and endangering housing construction and other interest-dependent economic activities in the USA. As interest rates rise, the US Treasury deficit, which is already over 6 percent of GDP, will widen even further. Interest payments on the national debt rose from $400 billion in 2021 to $1 trillion, further increasing the federal government’s enormous borrowing needs of $1.8 trillion.
Foreign central banks, meanwhile, have reduced their holdings of U.S. Treasuries, adding upward pressure on yields by a painful 0.8 percentage points, according to my calculations. The seizure of Russia’s foreign exchange reserves in 2022 prompted central banks to withdraw from dollar assets. The seizure of reserves probably hurt the U.S. economy more than the Russian economy.
The Federal Reserve, of course, caused most of the rise in interest rates by raising the rate it charges banks for overnight money. But the sharp rise in the so-called real yield on Treasuries – in this case, the rate on Treasury inflation-linked securities (TIPS) – is due to lower purchases of U.S. debt by foreign central banks. About 80 basis points (8/10 percentage points) is due to lower foreign central bank holdings of U.S. Treasuries.
Foreign central banks, including those of China, India, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, began shifting their foreign exchange reserves into gold and out of Treasuries after the US and its allies seized half of Russia’s $600 billion in foreign exchange reserves in early 2022 following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
While the US Treasury’s borrowing needs soared, holdings of US Treasuries at foreign central banks declined. This is in sharp contrast to the period from 2007 to 2012 (including the global financial crisis), when the US Treasury stepped in to support the banking system with a (then) unprecedented $800 billion bailout. Foreign central banks, particularly China, stepped in to support the US Treasury, doubling their holdings of US Treasuries from $2 trillion in 2007 to $4 trillion. During the Covid crisis in 2020, however, foreign central banks (especially China) reduced their holdings of government bonds.
This had a significant and measurable impact on US government bond yields.

Please bear in mind that the plurality of U$G indebtedness is “owed” to the privately owned Feral Re$erve Bank and its inflationary spiral. The owners of the “Fed” are primarily nrillionaire bank$ters from Western European nations. The so-called Fed must be genuinely federalized…with all debts to those predatory parasites immediately canceled and an economic system returned to Congress as was originally intended.
Sack the privately owned Fed. It is an institution which has been destroying America for generations.

As Americans have to pass by the homeless each day, they have to convince themselves that everyone wants to be like them.
It’s an unconscious psychological ego defense mechanism, more reflex than technique, similar to flinching.
Surely everyone in these spacious quiet countries want to live near the “shining city on the hill” and how could they possibly enjoy the simple life of not chasing obsessive consumption with a massive bureaucracy to direct their lives!!!
Meanwhile most people in the world are not Americans and don’t live in a place that in anyway resembles America, and they get on just fine. The best parts of Canada are those furthest from America. Labrador and the Yukon, IMO.

As you are a much valued poster on this site; I do, however, have one geopolitically realistic issue with a statement you made which was not fully self-evaluated. Point at issue is “Russian invasion of Ukraine”. Had you given that more due consideration, while writing in what for you is a second or third language, an amendment more geopolitically correct would be something along the lines of “Russia protecting heavily ethnic Russian populations of the Donbass from an intended massive genocidal invasion by Maidan coup Kievan regime forces into the Donbass region.”
As an historian, I do contend fairly frequently with devout Marxist posters who often tend to be overly protective of Bolshevik and Stalinist decisions. The mistake of the original Bolshevik regime was to include ethnically Russian populations into the Ukraine SSR. This analysis is strictly after the fact analysis. How could the original Bolsheviks have possibly foreseen the breakup of the USSR…with the most egregious feature being the takeover by the Talmudist/Banderite concert which would center on anti-Russian ethnic policies?
Unforseen policy mistakes in the now distant past should not shadow contemporary geopolitical realism. Ideological stances embedded into concreted stances are not helpful in analyzing current developments. Ideological belief systems do tend to become constipative, thus disenabling unblinking free thinking.

Yes, the US and the Trump incoming administration need to have control over Panama Canal and Greenland for national security reasons.
Just as RF needs control over Ukraine for national security reasons, the US needs complete defense outreach over Greenland. Obviously the Canadian and Danish armed forces have zero capacity to assist the US, so the US must complete that mission, and it does not necessarily need to annex Greenland to accomplish that objective. Having RF or China in control of Greenland is not acceptable.
Panama has been way to compliant with the Red China, allowing several Chinese port operation corporations to assist in running the system, which by the way built by American labor and cash. The canal is a vital part of the naval national security system, and very important for the shipment of American goods.
The US needs to re-assert control over the canal with the co-operation of the government of Panama. Chinese corporations need to be expelled, and American corporations need to run the port operations, and to lower transit fee on the USN and US flagged ships………
As long as Canada and Mexico seal their borders against illegal criminal aliens all will be good, failure to seal the borders against the illegals will lead to massive tariffs on their goods…….Canada and Mexico have a choice to make……….co-operate or lose big time……
This is welcome change from the senilic policy of Joementia and Toni Blinkensky-Soros. America First.

Fascinating introjection into the thread. “Quoth the Raven”. Some two years ago, while exploring an abandoned farmstead, right in front of the battered old house was a raven feather, long and glossy. So I picked it up and later attached it to a floppy hat which I occasionally don. That was not merely a random insertion…rather an honoring, a spiritual connexion with the world of avian entities. Native Americans, particularly along the Potlatch culture of the Pacific rim.
Urabanized individuals are a bit shortsuited in their connexions with the natural world and all of its magical, interconenctive nuance .Rationalistic materialism is perhaps the #1 social disease in Westernized humankind. As we emerge into a new paradigm; it is of essence to re-establish interplay with the natural world….perhaps the Mayan people, in the 13th and 14th centuries were onto something…

Years ago (under Bush) somme canadian collegues tried to make sense of the invasion of Afghanistan. The son of a colleague was deployed to Kandahar and he was writing back home that the empire of chaos was defeated and that it was a senseless nightmare.they candidly asked me “as you are a muslim maybe you can explained us what is going on?”
I patiently explained the war of terror&drug, zionist and weapon lobbies, global energy crunch, the “reflexes” of colonialism, the void left by the sabotage of the communist bloc etc. I even said at the time that the AfPak region was conquered to use against Russia and China. The room fell silent and a lady colleague said “I knew it”. Of course everyone in my beloved Canada and elsewhere on the globe knew or should have known. But all capitalist ruling classes (from Brazil to Russia and the euro-eunucks) wanted then to be part of the imperial network.
Since then I’ve said and repeated that the DC imperial/zio elites (from the liberals and alright) will try to invade and loot Canada and the Arctic. What hsppened to the indigenous tribes and the arab tribes is what they will do to their “allies” (lol).
Finally some fellow Canadians are waking up, online and in person we can hear stuff like “we need to revuild the army”, “the US empire has no ally”, “let’s trade more with China, Rusdia, the EU” etc. Even I am surprised by the level of anger (another gift of the orange narcissist and its cabal of jewish supremacist thugs) At least now the emperor is naked and the demented predecessor can rest.
But to resist Canada would need a true sovereign leadership, able to buy time with the protofascist neighbour, clean the army leadership of the most influencisl agents of the Pentagone, control its internal threats (mainly the ukrainian/pole diaspora, the zionist/neocon lobby, Meta+Musk network, build a MIC, take control of propaganda tools, beg China for forgiveness and attempt to turbocharge trade networks + attempt to buy as many military hardware as possible from China, Russia, Brazil, the EU, Turkey etc. Ottawa’s military (if it had a real one backed by decent industrial capacities) could easily make any invasion very costly. Even tiny Switzerland has a military tradition of strategic plannning scenarios of invasion by any of its neighbours and how to make it as costly as possible. Our generals and politicians were only obsessed with our Russian neighbour (despite the fact that this giant and underpopulated country pillaged by its jewish oligarchs has zero interest in land grabs). Now we will all pay the cost of an exonomic (or military) shock and awe. At least I tried to warn my compatriots.
Yeah so sadly it won’t happen. Maybe if Canada suffers enough under the bloody boots of this US shithole…
The converging crises of complexity, energy, capitalism, cultural decay, biodiversity collapse, climate chaos are pushing the demented elites to more naked barbarism.

For sure, that banks financing wars is likely the primary inducer of inflation. Problem is that the primary shareholders in those massive banks are also the primary shareholders in the WarDefense Industry. That industry does not exist for “defending” any nation. Their primary purpose is to induce and activate greater levels of profits and power for the ruling Bank$ter Oligarchs. This reality is quite simple. However, it constantly amazes me how so many highly intelligent people simply cannot or will not make the obvious connexion.
Perhaps I am a bit simple-minded, but probably not in the usual iteration. Multidimensional thought patterns are fast becoming a primary feature of the Great Awakening.

I have a different theory about Trump’s Greenland-Canada provocations. It is a very clever way of forcing NATO members to realise how badly they have screwed themselves by demilitarising themselves to support Ukraine, hence Denmark’s lack of weapons to defend Greenland. Making it easier to cut off EU military support for Ukraine.

A great summary, let me add some more context.
In late 2019, after a period of slowly rising interest rates the “Repo Crisis” occurred that threatened a rerun of the GFC. Monetary tightening was immediately stopped and Fed support measures carried out. The COVID-19 pandemic was utilized as an excuse for a massive monetary loosening and a massive bailout for deeply-indebted US corporations and financial institutions.
In late 2022, after a short period of relatively rapid tightening the US economy looked like it was rolling over into a recession that could quickly become a new GFC. The Biden government then dumped a major fiscal stimulus into the economy, which continued to grow in 2023 and 2024, and the Federal Reserve stopped raising interest rates in early 2022 and went into interest rate cut mode.
As debt levels continue to grow not just with the government, but also in the corporate, financial and personal sectors, the economy becomes more and more sensitive to rising interest rates. We are now in the period of the “bond market vigilantes” reawakening, made worse by the ongoing large current and capital account deficits. So even though the Fed has cut the short maturities interest rates the long maturity interest rates are going up.
All government spending drives economic activity, so if you deeply cut government spending as “DOGE” is promising you crash the economy (as recently happened in Argentina). That economic crash both reduces tax revenues and increases demand for government expenses. The economic effects of the austerity end up more than offsetting the reductions in state expenditures, as the Brits have found out during 15 years of austerity. Tax raises on rich people would be a much better option, as they have a much lower propensity to consume than the relatively poor people who benefit the most from government expenditures. The same would go for closing all US foreign military bases, as that money is spent abroad. Same with slashing general MIC spending as so much of it ends up in the pockets of rich corporations and the rich.
But of course Trump is an oligarch so he will cut taxes on rich people, spend more money on the military and try to cut other expenditures. The deficit will grow and long term interest rates will continue to rise. There is really only one way out of this given Trump’s orientation and that is major inflation (increases nominal GDP and tax revenues) with extensive manipulation of long term interest rates to keep them well below inflation. This will of course utterly destroy the US$ as the reserve currency and much further immiserate the working class (the rich will take a hit but also benefit from speculation in commodities etc.). It will also most probably destroy much of the banking system, ending in its probable replacement with Fed retail deposit accounts. With the US having a major current account deficit (4% of GDP and growing) any further move to MMT would simply dump the dollar and drive inflation in such a de-industrialized economy. The latter is why Trump is backing off from “across the board” tariffs.
That such a crazy outcome is quite possibly the most believable one shows how deep the US (and the West) has sunk after nearly four decades (after the 1987 crash) of continuously bailing out the financiers from their corruption (remember the early 1990s S&L bailout and cover up?) with each time more and more money printing and bigger and bigger bailouts required. All facilitated by a “China price” that kept inflation under control. Well the China price has gone now, especially with Trump’s new tariffs, so inflation will not behave itself (ironically, China is experiencing deflation and 5% GDP growth right now). Trump will reside over the geopolitical and economic retreat of the US, and hopefully not start WW3 in response.
Its quite possible that fiscal dominance will overwhelm the interest rate rises for a while longer, as Trump dumps even more government stimulus into the economy. But that can only last for so long, and a reckoning will arrive – sometime in Trump’s. presidency.

Tobias Cole@1635 Dec 11
With a personal history of having been a 6-time editor; I must confess to having embedded this tendency to view many postings from an editorial perspective. That said, I call your attention to a dependent clause in your presentation which I tend to believe was central to your point of view. From a copy editor point of view, that clause should have stood by itself as a separate paragraph.
That clause was “and it does not necessarily have to occupy Greenland to accomplish that objective”. That statement, IMHO, was central to your entire argument and one with which I have some agreement.
Now, we must consider Trump’s habit of overblown rhetoric, where he bombastically stated that the U$$A should take over Greenland. For decades during the depth of the Cold War, the Washington regime invested considerable financial and human resources in establishing air-power and radar installations in Greenland sites such as Thule.
Due consideration of that reality may possibly have been foundational for Trump’s outburst. Likely his objective is to re-establish those bases in the growingly important Arctic region. Such a move might be argued from more than one point of view. In any event, my perspective is that Trump’s rhetorical challenge is preparatory to yet another art of the deal…his primary M.O.
Tobias, hoping you and others do not take umbrage at my editorial proclivities. My object is to bring deeper lighting to the staged statecraft in this geopolitical theater.

Thanks, that fits my memories. Those ravens were playing games with a new guy in town. I walked and they walked behind me, I stopped and looked back and they stopped and pretended they were interested in something else while looking at me at quite close distance. So what I thought was sinister was actually playful. Greenland ravens.

i also share your viewpoint for the most part… nato is just one big money making adventure, sold under the pretext of ”security”.. actually 5 eyes is a disaster for canada, as it does much the same – it sells fear, directed at the same countries that we supposedly need the security from… actually nato and 5 eyes work together to fabricate a lot of bullshit for the support or build up to war.. the cbc is a helpful tool in this regard, always sharing the droppings from the intel agencies, which coincidentally work the same groove as nato to get more money to ”protect” us…
we’d be a lot more protected and secure if we got rid of nato and 5 eyes… i don’t need liars telling me what is what… if they aren’t lying outright, they are stretching the truth and making shit up constantly – it’s their job!!!
when i go for my daily walk in the woods – i don’t need someone to tell me their are bears and cougars on the loose… i already know that! if you are trying to scare me – piss off.. that is what i say to nato and 5 eyes…

Canada is an irrelevance. It could do nothing, but neither Trump nor any Americans want it. Oh, Alberta and its people might be nice, but no one wants those other idiots nor much else of their country. Besides, as Trump made clear with his mocking of Trudeau, it’s a fake country that only exists at the sufferance of the US.
Greenland appears to be tired of the sanctimonious Eurofags and their endless prattling about global warming and other such nonsense. So, they probably do become a protectorate of the US.
Frankly, I hope Trump returns the US to great power status and stops trying to act as though it is the world police and indispensable nation. I hope he stops with all the idiocy about “democracy” and “freedom” and simply goes back to 19th century thinking that great powers have interests and spheres of influence. I hope he revives the Monroe Doctrine. And I hope there is an understanding with Russia and China have their spheres of influence as well and except for limited areas of limited overlap, those interests and spheres of influence are inviolate.
Is all of this ideal? No, but it’s certainly better than what we have now and where we’ve headed if things don’t change. A multipolar world with different blocs. A the best thing about it to me is that Trump seems ready to abandon Europe and confine it to irrelevance.

Is Trump a savior? Well, I guess that remains to be seen. You can only judge a man by his enemies and Trump has all the right enemies.
I appreciate the perspectives on this board but I’ve come to realize the predominant theme is anti-Americanism. That’s fine and understandable. But most of you have a visceral dislike for Trump without realizing that the very people behind all the policies you claim to hate, have been trying to destroy him by every possible means for the last decade.
But that is the way it is with vassals and emasculated peoples. They hate on the one hand while viciously defending that which they claim to hate because…well…they are vassals and they do as they are told. If CNN or any of the CIA controlled news organizations in their own countries tell them Trump is bad, well then, Orange Man Bad. If these same organizations tell them that Americans in flyover country are a bunch of benighted rubes who have no sophistication and are worthy of contempt, then that’s what they are and those are the people who like Trump.

Lol! This brings more memories. Once I was in Santiago de Chile on business and one day everybody was talking about a dog. My Chilean partners explained to me the story of a dog that appeared in the nee because he/she travelled in the metro. This dog went into the metro station closest to his home and traveled a number of stations then got out and up (subterranean metro) always at the same station, then spend the day and later returned by traveling back in the metro to the original station. There were pictures of the dog and he/she didn’t look like anything special, yet he/she was smart enough to figure out how to travel in the metro.

Unfortunately for you and your US supremacism, the US is currently a ‘great power’ only in terms of military numbers. As for military technology it is now far behind Russia and China, and as for industrial power it is way behind China. It is so far behind now that it can never catch up. And finally if you look at US infrastructure, currently two out of every three bridges are in urgent need of repairs, the fire hydrants in Southern California are routinely running dry because the water rights have been sold off the private ‘enterprise’, the education system is producing (and is designed to produce) dunces, the sewage, rail, water, electricity and other systems are in a similar state, as most of the governments money goes to McDn/Doug, Boing, etc, and only the non-producing insurance and money sector is thriving i.e. making the 1% rich richer.

I think the recent interview Nima/Freeman best represents the probable truth in regard to the Truth social Sachs posting. It was a notice of new ownership. Trump is saying i could take this stance not I do take this stance. Netanyahoo canceled inauguration plans. Im not sure trump realizes how dangerous what he did is. Also discussed was Trumps relationship with New York Orthodox Jews who are not at all happy with mandatory military service for same in Israel.
Greenland is control of the Arctic. While Trumps actually addressing that Russia has a right to address security concerns on there border is a HUGE improvement of the Biden Cartel/ Mafia approach to foreign policy I still have large criticisms. All these things are Trump opening gambit on what trump regards as a competition on the world map where the world is divied up inbetween the US and China. The world is regarded like a real estate baron who seeks to dominate through politics.
The world is viewed as real estate that can be owned. Anything can be owned with the caveat that nuclear armed nations security issues must be addressed. A huge game of Risk where Trump gets to place the USAs pieces throughout the world in competition.
Trumps Paradigm is less hostile than previous regime in that it regards competition as the primary focus not dominance. The “players” Russia and China are acknowledged as having security interests but other nations are just real estate to be bought and sold. Russia is no longer regarded as fundamentally evil fit for subjugation although those tones are still emanated toward China in a muted way. Yes this is better as it is movement away from the new crusades with a woke sword which was thinly veiled woke imperialism. What is absent is cooperation. What is absent is trust. What is absent is diplomacy. Trump is free to play the world real estate dominance game like reality television. This is not JFKs vision of cooperation, This is a reality television show with trump playing a game. It is a detached reality. Just as apparently Trump is unaware of the danger that treating Israel as a minor player has risk.
While this change can be welcomed in that it does not demand ultimate dominance based on woke judgment it still is far from the USA adopting a appropriate model where it participates with respect for other nations. China is offering economic partnerships based on its dominance in manufacturing. They may or not be predatory. USA is offering economic “partnerships” based on reserve currency dominance and non existent military superiority. This MAGA model is not sustainable and when it does it has strong potential for conflict albeit lessened from the woke judgment dominance model.
Are Chinas economic agreements fundamentally predatory? I have no idea. As long as the governments of the nations entering into them truly represent the people that is those nations call. The solution was and always was a economic forum where fair trade is addressed. If any large nations practices are unfair they can be held to account by the whole and every nation has a voice. This was Putins vision.
Is reserve currency status without value? Of course not. It is malleable. It is negotiable. understanding that is reality. Creating a forum where these things can be negotiated and all nations respected is the path to peace and prosperity. Clinging to dominance with rapidly fading military superiority is a moronic plan for peace and prosperity and thats what MAGA is.
Once again a window is presented where some degree of USA strength is perceived. It is a opportunity for the USA to participate in the multi polar world that is the future. Im afraid Trump and MAGA are not principled and intelligent enough to seize this incredible opportunity. Attempts Implementation of paradigms that are no longer reality based is a recipe for disaster in the long run just not as a immediate disasrter as woke dominance. None the less ending the Ukraine wars and informing Israel that the USA is not owned are great improvements and should be acknowledged. Neither MAGA or Woke truly represent a sustainable future for the USA. That future is there if the USA can truly participate and Trump is progress. Yes the natural world is the primary connection to sanity. The genocide must end. If it is lessened that is good. Fundamentally the genocide must end for a sustainable future for the USA. Participants in genocide will be rejected as participants in a multi polar world. The ICJ must be respected in criminal judgments. Creatures such as Blinken do not represent a future. Neither do creatures such as Huckabee and Kellog.

Add the insane evangelical zionists posing as christians… But at least the pseudo-civilized facade of Obama/Killary is gone. The US altright is naked dark-aged feudalism mixed with imperial Chutzpah. Patriotic segments of the ROW have a short window of opportunity to organize accordingly and bring that shithole down. Time to make south and west America Mexico again. And Washington, Vermont, Maine could choose to be the new provinces: free heathcare, public education, safe streets. The rest could then play their civil war in the swamps of Florida (LGBTQ woke imperialists versus repressed gays of the altright and a jewish general leading each faction to battle).

America is a great power because it has 3.5 million square miles of resource rich territory with everything a great power needs. Does it have problems? Yes, but so does China and so does Russia. I’m not an American supremacist. I simply acknowledge the truth as most of the anti-Americans on this site don’t. I agree with nearly every criticism you want to make against our policies and rulers. But barring WW III, America will be a great power as long as it exists.
This board is like a bunch of chihuahuas barking at lions. I get it, but don’t pretend the lions can’t eat you whenever they please. Lions only have trouble when they mess with other lions like China or Russia. They won’t choke on chihuahuas. And if one of the lions kills another lion, it’s not going to suddenly have admiration and respect for the chihuahuas because they offered moral support. The remaining lions still hold you in contempt. And frankly, Europe is contemptible. It struck me when I was younger and traveling there that if I put dog shit on a plate and labeled it “American Style”, I would sell out in minutes.

Trump taking over Canada would be liberating it from its current globalist/World Economic Forum enslavement and rapid self-destruction. Canadians are dying in droves waiting in emergency rooms for 10 hours for their “free” healthcare. The “free” healthcare is now murdering tens of thousands (soon to be hundreds of thousands) of Canadians per year in an organized killing program that would make Hitler blush. Immigration levels are so high that the weak Canadian culture that previously existed has been entirely atomized and annihilated.
Canada is demoralized, bankrupt, and adrift. The country is finished. There’s nothing left to hold it together and like a rotten shack, one swift kick will do it in. Don’t expect the dopey Canucks to realize this. But Trump sees all this clearly. He sees a failing state on his northern border, and he is actually correct in saying that Canadians would be better off coming under American protection than left to their own devices and slowly devolving into another Venezuela, which is 100% the trajectory Canada is on. And yes, it’s a massive opportunity to grab land and untapped resources which would help maintain American dominance.
I find the situation to be quite ironic: the globalist/WEF plan was to weaken all the western nations at the same time, through the same means, and Canada jumped onboard with the plan whole heartedly, with all (and I do mean ALL) of their top leadership WEF cronies, but they never counted on the USA breaking free from the plan and then simply absorbing their weakened husk of a country.

What most people don’t understand is that the “West” is controlled by a small click of people that set the agenda for all western countries. The U.S is the muscle, city of London is the brain, the rest are pawns. Everything that you see around the world is theater. The fly in the ointment for them are countries that don’t dance to their music. The more pushback they get the more frustrated they become. It is why “They” kept doubling down until they realised it’s not going to work. They will try everything short of nuclear. Fortunately, their power base is eroding. Time will tell.

The excerpt from Agis prompts the question, why take this seriously? Colloquial style, some vulgar language, is not at all the same thing as serious analysis. The notion that Trump knows he is dissolving NATO (and implying this is his intention) is dubious at best, disguised Trumpery at worst. It’s not clear this person isn’t romantic about pirates.
The Russians With Attitude excerpt is also unclear on its goals. Maybe these people like the prospect of a multipolar world like the one in 1913, one safe for a few empires and their wars? But regardless, the long-term decline in economic/industrial supremacy began long before 1991. And the implication that the military supremacy is already a thing of the past is a delusion: Not yet!

Trump taking over Canada would be liberating it from decadent British monarchy and the sinister city of London. One thing no one talks about here is how Trump is humiliating and lowering the UK to an irrelevant nation for not even coming to Canada’s defense as it did in other times with this Canadian bully. The US has always wanted Canada since Thomas Jefferson but has always been stopped by the British navy in the 19th century threatening American ports and also how the UK used the Canada to support the South in the Civil War.
“The acquisition of Canada this year, as far as the neighborhood of Quebec, will be a mere matter of marching; & will give us experience for the attack of Halifax the next, & the final expulsion of England from the American continent.” Thomas Jefferson to William Duane, 4 August 1812

@ Totila Yes quite true. Quebec would be a problem: nobody wants millions of poor, dumb, angry, French socialists in their country. Maybe there would be some way of getting all the socialists to coalesce into Quebec and leave that part behind. Or perhaps Trump is just trying to wake Canadians up, letting them know that if they don’t get their house in order, daddy will be coming to clean up for them.

you’ve got a lot of built in assumptions about me, which is unfortunate… i can what trump is facing – the intel agencies and etc. etc. and i hope he is able to get on top of all of what is wrong, but i am not hopeful.. cheers..

lol – we are of the same mind on all that!! not sure how to move things forward, but what we have for choices and etc – is very discouraging… my young friend has been turning me onto communism, lol…. i read a book by Kōhei Saitō – Slow Down: The Degrowth Manifesto…it was quite interesting and coming from the angle that capitalism is destroying the planet.. so the focus is on climate change some, but mostly how to move forward politically… it’s an interesting idea..
my take is everyone on the planet is in this together and we can skip with the nationalistic attachments and realize if we don’t figure out how to make things go together on the planet, we aren’t going to have a planet..

But all the great Canadian musicians are Quebecois; amiwrong? Okay, but I’m only slightly exaggerating, if you put the Quebecois in one column and the non-French in another. You’d have to break down that column barrier, so that people have room to dance…

This “Agit Papadakis” sounds like a Greece gaslighter.
He is making excuses for European war criminals.
The Europeans are not cucks or victims of any short.
The Europeans are crime partners of the Americans.
The Europeans had no problem joining in American wars of aggression and ravaging Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Serbia, Yemen, and Palestine for a very long time.
The problem for the European and American predators is that they have run out of “easy wars” to wage and are confronted by stronger nations that will fight back–and fight back hard–to repel these Euro-American predators–namely Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.
So the Americans will turn on their own European crime partners to ravage instead. Serves them right.
The European-Americans are a pack of jackals, who are cowardly as they are opportunistic.

India is a terrible example because it is one of the most diverse countries in the world, lacking even a national language spoken by the majority of the population. China may have a Han majority, but it is made up of a number of nationalities, traditions, religions, and so on, which are all protected by the Communist Party. Ditto for the old USSR, which combated Russian chauvinism and ensured minority nationalities were well represented within CPSU ranks (at least until revisionism fully took over).

Your take that diversity = strength could only be taken as a truism under a universalist paradigm like Christianity or Islam.

I do have my own universalist paradigm, and it is communism, the collective movement of the working class of every nation to overthrow their oppressors in the global capitalist ruling class, which is in the common interest of all workers.
Racism can be used to divide workers, and has been. But this isn’t overcome by segregation. It’s overcome by the intermingling of the races and the subsequent diminution of racial intolerance. Capitalist class control in the US south for example is protected by the segregation of workers and the racialization of class (white people are only a plurality of the southern working class). Business unions, as opposed to socialist industrial unions, have indeed engaged in this themselves to ill effect. Sam Gompers’s segregated AFL opposed Chinese immigration because he thought it would undermine the working class’s position. The socialist IWW on the other hand was made up of a diverse group of mainly immigrant workers and gave the capitalist ruling class such a run for its money that the institutions created to combat it – the FBI, federal immigration controls, etc., are still extant. The US federal government solved the latter problem by deporting them, quelling working class rebellion for a decade until the Depression. In any case, the AFL was the easier of the two to control, and Gompers’s business union has been involved in promoting global anti-communism as a tool of the CIA.

Delving deeply into history as it was and not how it has been presented, is of essence critical to understanding of what happened, when and how. When the US absorbed the Mexican governmental holdings to the north of Mexico proper in 1846; there were exceedingly FEW actual Mexicans living in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas…barely to mention Nevada, Colorado and Utah.
Spanish speaking people and not very many of them were SPANISH colons and NOT ethnicized Mexicans. Thus, though those territories had fallen to the Mexican Revolution in 1811; those regions were outliers of direct Spanish descent.
Even in New Mexico, those Spanish settlers were frequently of the military classes and were single men. They tended to marry Pueblo native women…a whole nother iteration of Turtle Island natives, not even vaguely similar to the Aztecs and other native Mexican tribal peoples…a near totally different culture.
Thus, even though a significant proportion of light brown skinned New Mexicans are a significant proportion of the demographics of that State; many of them actually look upon Mexican immigrants as something much other than being from their own culture.
That historical background explained, I must now express my dissatisfaction and even detestation of the U.S invasion and conquest of Mexico itself back in that fateful year of 1846. Many of my insights were engendered by Bernard deVoto’s masterpiece “1846..the year of Decision”. Deep Southern desires to expand the zone of slavery of Blacks were instrumental in beating those war-drums…in order to maintain their perceived balance in political power between the rapidly industrializing and immigrant rich North.
Having “liberated” those northerly provinces from a somewhat hapless but heavy-handed Mexico City regime; the U.S. should have invested our energies into amalgamated those gains into the Union rather than going hog-wild by investing Mexico proper.

UK wants full trade with China
USA wants tariffs at the minimum mum against China
Regardless of who wins the presidential elections, the EU is sure to face American expectations that it will implement economic sanctions against China, including new export controls, investment controls, and tariffs, to safeguard critical technologies and to curb China’s aggressive economic practices. The EU must define its economic security strategy, balancing member states’ interests with the need for a united front against China’s aggressive policies.
So UK is a traitor to USA? What happens next?

aristodemos 236 – No umbrage taken……..my point was and is that Trump wants to secure Greenland into the US defense perimeter because he knows well that the woke Danes and Canadians have no interest or capacity to secure it.
He also knows that the RF and China have robust artic naval capacities which the Northmen and the Vikings do not possess, and which somewhat ironically the US does not possess either (the US only has two polar class icebreakers in service and none of the US icebreakers – the USGC Polar Star and the USGC Healy carry any offensive or defensive armaments, unlike the RF and Chinese boats). Several armed icebreakers are in the US plans, but none has been undertaken yet in US shipyards. Canadian icebreakers are smaller, and also unarmed, whereas RF icebreakers have AA and ASW capacities. The massive USGC Mackinac has been taken out of service and is now a museum ship.
So RF and China have a huge advantage here in the current lineup card. US capacities are a decade away. Greenland is essential to protect the vast petroleum and mineral resources that lie in the region.
Trump is correct.

Due to its origins, the MoA is still hosting quite a number of “Dialectical Materialists”.
Rationalistic, lineal, materialism is a spent force. It all originated with Newtonian Physics (currently eclipsed by Quantum Physics) and with Cartesian mindlessness, in “as I think, I am”. This is yet another materialistic meme.
Cartesian materialistic rationalists BELIEVE that some magical, mystical electromagnetic process engendered by the material brain is actually the progenitor of the MIND. Again, scientists have evolved beyond materialistic perspectives and understand that the MIND is part and parcel of the Quantum Field.
Dude!!! Catch up with science for Darwin’s sake. You are living in the past. That past has been eclipsed.

Malenkov @ 235, Jams O’Donnell @ 254:
The sale of The Beatles’ entire back catalogue to the Russians for safe-keeping, so the music is not ransacked by govts, political parties and private individuals and corporations and their lackeys for their own enrichment, would be of far more value than selling the British armed forces.
Let’s face it, once Paul McCartney and his generation of musicians are gone, plus the next two generations after them (those born in the 1950s through to the 1970s),the intellectual rights to all their recorded work including their unreleased work may be up for grabs. Their descendants may lack the skill or time needed to protect their musical legacy, regardless of its actual artistic worth.
Selling all this music to the Russians to meet British energy costs would help protect it. The Russians are known for appreciating the music regarded as part of the “classical music” canon, and have pulled their weight in this genre and other genres of Western contemporary formal composition. They have a huge popular music scene up to scratch with all major Western youth music culture trends.
What do other MoA barflies think of this idea?

Possible, just possible, that your bright, idealistic young friend has drawn you into yet another rabbit hole. IMHO Marxist Communism is rationalistic, materialistic and strictly literalistic and lineal left-brain dominance. Where I’m trending is AWAY from each and every iteration of paternalistic centralization of power and into COMMUNITARIANISM.
That formulation is nothing new. Before the Enclosure Acts, common English folk lived in a mutually governed COMMONS. Same, same in traditional Russia where the majority country folk lived within the Mir. As well as describing the commonly held village lands, the word “Mir” also signifies PEACE to Russian speaking peoples.
Peace and mutual support are archetypes of decentralization and even demilitarization. The ancient African proverb of “It takes a village to raise a child” should be given every consideration by those of deep thought.
On one side of the spectrum are the paternalistic iterations of centralization of all economic and political, to say little of cultural impositions. They are all about domination and control by Oligarchs or “The Vanguard of the Proletariat”.
Thus, the spiritual battle is the one between competition and domination versus cooperation and peace for all.

Partial agreement was somewhat included within my response to your earlier presentation. As the Great Awakening will veer towards cooperation and mutual amity as a long-range perspective; a limited time offer might be extended to the U$$A to restore/reactivate TO SOME MODEST DEGREE those bases in Greenland…with absolutely NO interference with the Inuit population of that world’s largest island.
Therefore, until and unless Danemark obviates its quasi-colonialist role in Greenland, any resource extraction MUST axiomatically receive agreement and informed cooperation by means of referendums (not the government) on the part of the Inuit folk…all 60,000 of them…at least the adult population.

Here is the Trump agenda for the first week in office, sorry about that to you EUaphiles and Ukronazis:
– BP hunting parties will be sweeping the US looking for illegal alien criminals imported into the US from South and Central American jails and mental institutions for the criminally insane. They will be promptly deported.
– The US southern and northern borders with Mexico and Canada will be sealed with or without the assistance of those two nations. The open border is now DOA. Texas NG and regular US Army troops will assist BP in sealing the border, and construction on the border wall will in fact resume immediately.
– All ranking general officers and admirals in the service branches, including the JCOS will be removed from command and replaced by non woke officers. This will happen on day one. General Mike RED Milley, former CJCOS will be recalled into service and promptly subjected to a court martial trial at Fort Bragg, NC for treason.
– All J6 protesters will be pardoned and released from the federal POW camp in DC where they have been abused and tortured by woke prison guards. These guards will be arrested and tried. The Biden Obama reign of political terror will come to an end. Elderly pro life Catholic demonstrators will also be released from federal prisons.
– Jack Smith and Merrick Garland-Garfinkel will be arrested and tried for the political prosecutions of religious and opposition protesters.
– Those behind the BLM and Antifa insurrection of May-June 2020 will be arrested and tried. $25 B in damages was caused by these communist, trotskyite, menshevik insurrectionist actors in numerous American cities.
– All top DOJ, FBI and CIA managers will be escorted out on 1/20/25 at 1201 PM, no exceptions. This will be a deep state purge like Sulla or Cato, (but no literal heads will roll).
– 100 executive orders will be signed in first three hours of the Trump presidency………. the woke deep state neo fascist Biden agenda will be destroyed in detail, no prisoners taken or honored, the black flag will fly.
– US shipments of cash and ammo will halt in mid stream, and Volo will immediately flee with his billions in stolen US coin to his palatial villas in Haifa, Nassau or Miami Beach………….the Ukronazi regime will collapse in the huge ball of dust (remember Volo and the Vindman’s staged the first impeachment trial of the President….and he will never forget that). Volo will be involved in a mysterious car crash in Israel in short order, and Vindman will find himself in the RF POW camp.
Stay tuned sports fans.

“China’s aggressive policies” is a blanket statement which is not very explanatory. So from where are you coming? Even though China has most obviously expanded its military power, it has yet to demonstrate much of a military expansionist program. So we can, in part, eliminate that prospective…for the nonce at least.
Thus, we must consider whether or not China is demonstrating economic near-supremacy. There is room for consideration and debate as to the benefits and/or deficits in this looming probability.
So my direct question is whether you are discriminating between those two iterations and on which side of the equation is more probable?
Though I’m occasionally guilty of not fully explicating POVs; full explanations of one’s outlooks should be a hallmark of participation in the more thought filled levels on these threads.

Tobias Cole @ 224:
US control of the Panama Canal would still require large amounts of finance for administration and infrastructure maintenance. If an indebted Western banking system cannot supply funding, and the only other available sources of funding are Chinese and Russian banks, what else can the US do?
Now perhaps you can see why Panama has been leasing out parts of the Canal to other govts as parking space for their ships.
And if control of the Panama Canal reverted back to the US, and the US tries to restrict use of the Canal to favour only its own ships and those of its allies / vassals, that might encourage Nicaragua to start building a canal (with BRICS financing and engineering assistance) across its own territory as a rival to the Panama Canal.
Can the US stop Nicaragua from pursuing its own interests? If the US claims Central and South America to be in its sphere of interests as per the Monroe Doctrine, the nations of those areas would object, citing the CIA’s Operation Condor (1960s- 80s) among other things as an example of US Monroe-Doctrine interference in their affairs.

Agree with the above. However, the same could be said for the USA for a long time. The 1990s may have seemed like good times to many, but were an artefact of looting Russia, looting the Social Security Trust Fund, and the Dotcom bubble. Three towers fell in NYC in 2001, but the fall of the US Constitution to the Patriot Act the following month was the main event. Instead of fentanyl, a housing bubble was used as anaesthesia for the operation. On 1 May 2003 Pres ‘W’ Bush hoisted the ‘Mission Accomplished’ banner. But what was the mission?
Twenty years ago, I was a Silicon Valley resident and saw it all. Over a hundred languages were spoken in public schools. Furries were already a thing. Smart kids came in from the US heartland to pay high rents to sleep on someone’s couch in hopes of getting rich off the next dotcom startup. For the most part, these smart kids worked long hours, lived off diet cokes and chicken tenders, became obese, then got shafted by the grifters running the startup. They went back home as poor as they started, no longer young, and less healthy. California, and the USA as a whole, were already failed states then.
What has happened since the Dotcom bubble popped, causing the GFC has just been the decomposition of the corpse. Perhaps the parasitic grifters controlling the corpse of the former republic will consume their equally ill neighbours. That’s what Zombies do. But, the last one standing would still be a Zombie, not a civilisation or viable polity.

All these shills are churning out feeble pretexts for American’s thinly disguised land grabs and seizure of other nations’ resources from Greenland to Canada to Panama … under the usual pretext of US national insecurity.
Or, as Trump said about American troops illegally occupying Syria: “You know what I did? I left troops to take the oil. I took the oil. The only troops I have are taking the oil. They’re protecting the oil. I took over the oil.”
At the end of the day, the differences between Democrats vs. Republicans or Biden vs. Trump are as fake as American “democracy” itself. Trump and Biden are just different heads of the same hydra-headed American monster.
And, as even Vladimir Putin has asserted, America is a parasite on the global economy.
