Is he crazy, or does he think the Russians are too stupid to stop such production?
RT report, December 18
Vladimir Zelensky criticizes delays in Western military aid and demands licenses for weapons production in Ukraine. Late and inadequate deliveries are putting a strain on troop morale. At the same time, he is counting on stronger support from the USA and Trump.
.
Vladimir Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, has asked Western partners for licenses for weapons production in view of the problems in supplying his country with military equipment. The French newspaper Le Parisien published his answers to readers’ questions:
“I am often told that the West does not have sufficient capacity to produce weapons systems in time. Fine. Give us licenses! We will manufacture our own weapons, including missiles and defense systems.”
He complained that military support from Western partners often takes a long time – six months to a year. In addition, some of the weapons delivered were outdated or in poor condition:
The Ukrainian president also accused Washington of the fact that much of the promised aid, including humanitarian aid, had not yet arrived. He added that Kyiv wanted “greater support from the USA” and that his government was already working with the team of US President-elect Donald Trump. In a speech to representatives of regional authorities, he said:
“The USA is now increasing the number of measures, aid packages and sums of money. It is a pity that they are only doing this now, towards the end of their term, and it is regrettable how the aid was delayed last year.”
Already in December, Zelensky had stated that the delivery of missiles must be the priority for the Ukrainian armed forces and not the reduction in the mobilization age demanded by the USA. The key was to equip the existing brigades and train the personnel in the use of this technology.
He had previously stressed that the problem of the Ukrainian army was not the number of soldiers, but the inadequate equipment of the existing brigades.
“It’s a bloodbath” – Trump speaks of astronomical casualty figures in the Ukraine war
On December 13, the USA announced that it would provide Ukraine with additional military aid of $500 million from the Pentagon’s reserves. This is Washington’s 73rd aid package for Kiev. But it is by no means certain that it will be paid out.
At the beginning of December, Jake Sullivan, the US President’s National Security Advisor, said that the incumbent government would do everything it could until the end of its term in office to provide Ukraine with resources to strengthen its position on the battlefield.

Trump’s peace allures may thereby become a real alternative for Russia to climb out of the RAND trap.
<=B..I can't help but say if I were in the Russian Military and Putin were to let this go and or make a deal with Trump that did not turn all of Ukraine over to Russia I would turn on Putin. There is no apparent justice in Russians dying so that Trump can be made whole and Putin can get some sleep? I am not Russian.. so the weaker and dumber more trader-like Putin's actions are the better is is for my western country, so I am observing not complaining. IMO, without the SMO invasion into USA activated Ukraine, there would not have been a Russia to talk about by now.. Russia was not lured, USA backed NATO was crawling on the back of Russia, it was under Russia's bed covers and going for Russia's testicles. What Trump has to offer Russia is participation in the M.E. Oil and Gas bonanza brought about by the deep state initiated war in Ukraine, the destruction of Nord Stream II, the discovery of significant oil and gas in the Levant Reserve about 2014, the pipeline routes needed to distribute that gas to Europe, the Israeli genocide in Gaza and the exit of Assad in Syria is to appease the Nord Streem II investors. IRT Posted by: LoveDonbass | Dec 17 2024 17:36 utc | 34 who asks is their anyone at the bar see something Trump could exchange with Putin in return for cooperation? <=Trump might offer to make up for the Nord Stream II loss to Russian and German investors, Trump could offer Nord Stream II investors a share in the ME oil and gas business and Trump could offer to restore to Russia the funds the foreign exchange reserve taken from Russia. But IMV, If Putin falls for any deal Trump offers, Putin would become, IMV, a bigger Pussy then I currently believe Putin to be. Such a capitulation would increase my suspicion that Putin is and always has been in bed with the globally connected deep state. If so, Putin's hands are likely tied, he must accept what he is offered. IMV, Russia has the west where it wants it.. defending instead of aggressing.. Putin would have to be blind not to understand this.. thinking about why Putin might take a deal from Trump might be connected to China's refusal to assist Russia. Thomas Fazi at MROnline.org
https://mronline.org/2024/12/13/a-nato-coup-just-took-place-in-romania/

I wrote for Compact about the Romanian Constitutional Court’s extraordinary and unprecedented decision to nullify the election results based on unfounded allegations of Russian interference–and why it signals a chilling escalation in the EU-NATO establishment’s increasingly open war on democracy:
The ruling sets a terrifying precedent. If vague accusations of foreign interference can nullify election results, any future electoral outcome that threatens entrenched elites could similarly be overturned. Unfortunately, what happened in Romania isn’t an outlier. It is an escalation in an all-too-familiar trend now afflicting Western societies, whereby unpopular and delegitimized elites resort to increasingly brazen methods—such as media manipulation, cognitive warfare, censorship, lawfare, economic pressure, and surveillance and intelligence operations—to influence electoral outcomes and suppress challenges to the status quo. Consider that in the United States, the security apparatus and its media allies spent almost the entirety of Donald Trump’s first term attempting to undo the outcome of the 2016 election via the #Russiagate hoax.
In other words, actual disinformation and electoral interference tactics are deployed by the establishment to counter alleged (and often fabricated) disinformation and foreign interference campaigns, usually claimed to be coming from Russia to the benefit of domestic populist politicians and parties. However, such tactics are proving powerless to manufacture consensus and are, in fact, beginning to backfire, which is why even the formal elements of democracy—including elections—are now being called into question.

I also explain how this decision can only be understood in the context of Romania’s key role as a critical NATO garrison:
It is no coincidence that these measures are employed most aggressively in those countries with particular strategic value for NATO. Romania is a case in point. The country has been instrumental in providing military aid to Ukraine. Additionally, it is at Romania’s 86th Air Base where Ukrainian pilots receive training on F-16 fighter jets. This facility serves as a regional hub for NATO allies and partners. Moreover, the Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, on the Black Sea coast, is undergoing significant development to become the largest NATO base in Europe. This expansion aims to support NATO operations and strengthen the alliance’s presence in the Black Sea region and its control of Russia’s “near abroad”. The Western Alliance clearly can’t afford to allow mere popular sovereignty to jeopardize Romania’s role as a NATO garrison.
No wonder, then, that the U.S. State Department supported the court decision on the grounds that “Romanians must have confidence that their elections reflect the democratic will of the Romanian people”. It’s also highly unlikely that the EU-NATO establishment wasn’t involved in some way or another in the judicial coup against Georgescu. The measures employed to undermine Georgescu are indicative of a broader willingness to erode democratic norms in pursuit of geopolitical objectives. For the same reason, the same powers are attempting to foment a Ukraine-style violent overthrow of the government in Georgia, where the pro-peace ruling party recently won the elections.

How long before the same measures are deployed against core NATO countries in Western Europe that stray from the alliance’s prescribed path?

Are the French and German governments are trying to avoid these overt measures of regime change to appease their US masters?

This is crazy. Ukraine is the one not interested in any negotiations with Russia (Zelensky even said so). How does that make sense if they are supposedly on the losing side with hundreds of thousands of dead and wounded soldiers? And thousands more supposedly deserting?
It actually looks like NATO is using Ukraine to attrit Russia and it’s working.

Apparently (according to RT), Russia has an 80% divorce rate – on top of the declining birthrate.
That is stunning and kind of a show stopper I would think.
Will constrain leadership, I would think, aside from the fact that that indicates some serious issues.
Unfortunate.

Here is Pepe’s Latest on Todays Strike on Rostov:
n the grand theater of geopolitical machinations, where narratives are spun with the finesse of a maestro conducting a symphony, Ukraine’s recent deployment of Storm Shadow missiles against Rostov emerges not as a crescendo but as a fleeting, discordant note. This act, rather than signaling a strategic masterstroke, unveils the denouement of Ukraine’s beleaguered campaign and the waning influence of its NATO patrons.
The Illusion of Tactical Brilliance
The Storm Shadow, a British-supplied long-range cruise missile, boasts a formidable reputation. Its deployment by Ukraine was anticipated to alter the dynamics on the battlefield, enabling strikes deep within Russian territory. However, the recent attack on Rostov, while momentarily capturing headlines, failed to deliver any substantial strategic advantage. The targeted infrastructure sustained damage, yet the resilience of Russian logistical and command structures remained unshaken. This mirrors previous instances where Ukraine’s use of such advanced weaponry yielded limited tangible outcomes.
KYIV INDEPENDENT
A Desperate Gambit
This missile strike can be interpreted as a manifestation of desperation. Facing relentless advances by Russian forces and diminishing support from war-weary Western allies, Ukraine’s leadership appears to be resorting to symbolic acts of defiance. These gestures, while theatrically compelling, lack the substantive impact required to alter the course of the conflict. The reliance on Western-supplied armaments underscores a dependency that has failed to translate into battlefield success, further eroding the morale of Ukrainian forces.
NATO’s Waning Influence
NATO’s involvement in the Ukrainian theater has been fraught with miscalculations and overreach. The alliance’s strategy of encirclement and pressure against Russia has not only faltered but has also exposed fissures within its own ranks. The provision of advanced weaponry, such as the Storm Shadow, was intended to bolster Ukraine’s defensive capabilities. Instead, it has highlighted the limitations of external intervention in a conflict deeply rooted in regional dynamics and historical complexities. The diminishing returns of such support are evident as NATO’s strategic objectives remain unfulfilled.
The Inevitable Denouement
The Rostov strike, rather than showcasing Ukrainian resilience, serves as a prelude to the inevitable conclusion of this protracted conflict. The persistent inability to achieve decisive victories, despite the infusion of Western military aid, signals a turning point. Ukraine’s strategic options are narrowing, and the appetite for continued confrontation is waning among its populace and international supporters. The specter of a negotiated settlement looms large, with terms likely unfavorable to Kyiv’s initial aspirations.
The Geopolitical Ripple Effect
Beyond the immediate theater, this development reverberates through the corridors of global power. Nations observing the conflict discern the limitations of Western military support and the resilience of Russian strategic depth. This recalibration of perceptions influences alliances, economic partnerships, and the broader geopolitical landscape. The erosion of NATO’s perceived omnipotence emboldens other actors to assert their interests, potentially reshaping the global order in ways unforeseen at the conflict’s outset.
Conclusion
In the annals of history, the Rostov missile strike will be recorded not as a pivotal moment of triumph but as a symbol of the futility of reliance on external support without a coherent and sustainable internal strategy. Ukraine’s journey, marked by valor and resilience, is approaching a juncture where the pursuit of peace through diplomatic means becomes not just an option but an imperative. For NATO, this episode serves as a sobering reminder of the complexities inherent in regional conflicts and the perils of overextension.
As the curtain falls on this act of the geopolitical drama, the world watches with bated breath, anticipating the resolutions and realignments that will shape the next movement in this intricate symphony of power and politics.

Dmitry Medvedev:

It’s impossible to ignore the editorial published in The Times, where the bastards called the terrorist attack on Igor Kirillov and his assistant a “legitimate act of defence.”
Well, then… According to this logic:
1. All NATO decision-makers from countries that provided military assistance to Bandera Ukraine are participating in a hybrid or conventional war against Russia. There’s a whole legion of them. There’s not even enough space to list them, but all these individuals can and should be considered legitimate military targets for the Russian state. And for all Russian patriots, for that matter.
2. The people who committed the crimes against Russia named above always have accomplices. And they, too, are now legitimate military targets. These may include the lousy jackals from The Times, who cowardly hid behind an editorial. Meaning, the publication’s entire management team.
Logical? Very! So, be careful! After all, anything goes in London…

Making the Hunter Biden connection of biolabs in Ukraine
splains the pardon and mirder of Krilov
“In addition to the evidence of involvement by organizations such as the Soros Foundation, another crucial point in Kirillov’s reports was the connection with Big Pharma companies. He spared no effort in revealing the role of pharmaceutical giants such as Pfizer and Moderna in financing bioweapons research in Ukraine. The claim that these corporations were associated with the development of biological weapons was not merely speculative, having several captured documents proved the whole truth. In the same vein, the involvement of influential members of the U.S. government and their families, including Hunter Biden, in contracts and initiatives related to Ukrainian biolabs was a central issue in his revelations. The U.S. president’s son was of the main financial supporters of the biolabs, which were part of his corruption schemes in Ukraine.”

How America lost again!!
.
The first combat tests of the Oreshnik on November 21 turned out to be a surprise for the Americans. They did not collect any interesting information: there were no AWACS in the sky; the insidious Russians chose a time when the low orbit was free of passing satellites. And no matter how much they dug in the huge holes, they found nothing except sintered glass stone and cement rubble.
So the Pentagon decided to tickle the Russians again and launched six more ATACMS in Taganrog from territory 404 on December 11. They thought that now the Russians would rush to take revenge, attack 404 with Oreshnik – and we could spy on this. And that’s exactly what the Russians did: they decided to take revenge and even sent a warning to the Pentagon about the possible use of ballistic missiles against targets in 404 within the next 48 hours.
The Yankees took the matter seriously: they terrified all embassies in 404 with the arrival of the Oreshnik; they alerted their AWACS (and the British ones too) for continuous duty over the Black Sea; all short- and long-range radar stations in 404, Poland and Romania began to work openly around the clock; American satellites, burning precious fuel for their corrective engines, began to change their orbits in order to be above the scene of the action. In general, the excitement was serious – even pompous: the satellite itself costs about a billion dollars, without fuel for its corrective engines it would simply crash and burn up in the atmosphere. The Americans decided to sacrifice much more for the Oreshnik.
The Russian General Staff did not miss the excitement – it carefully recorded everything, determined the locations of the radar stations, recorded their frequencies and other parameters, and remembered which satellites suddenly changed their orbit. But the Russians did not send Oresniks – they attacked exposed positions of the 404 PVO with Gerańs. The defenseless 404 energy system and other previously secret targets were destroyed by “Kinzhals” and “Kalibres”.
Zelensky began to demand 12 batteries of the Patriot AD system from the US. For your information: the Pentagon itself has only 14 such batteries. Each of these batteries costs more than a billion dollars (excluding missiles), and Biden allocated a measly $500 million in the latest military aid package for 404. Besides… Patriot cannot shoot down targets flying so fast.
Meanwhile, to date, the Russians destroy 404 identified air defense facilities. On December 15, intelligence services reported the destruction of 4 Patriot missile defense systems in a single day.
So it can be said that the (non)use of Orešnik in 404 was a defeat for the US. We do not know what all the Russian airstrikes destroyed, but two facts are obvious. The Americans themselves confirmed that they lost something valuable in 404, I guess, an information collection center. The second fact was also mentioned above: the liquidation of the AD system greatly weakened the defense of various objects, and they began to liquidate them. The damage to military as well as protected objects can reach billions. Not to mention the costs of monitoring a possible arrival of Orešnik, which were also extremely, unimaginably high. War definitely slowing down the last few days. There’s some pockets waiting to close, but I’m doubting the Russians can make up for the slow first half DEC. They’d need to do like ~45 kmsq/day for the rest of the month to equal the NOV pace.
Looking like DEC will be a negative acceleration, for first time since JUL2024. (Not inexorable weakening of the UFA lines and faster and faster RFA advances.)

There’s lies. There’s damn lies. Then there’s statistics. Cultural & legal differences matter.
Parental pressure encourages them to marry young, compared to the west.
Easy to marry; easy to divorce (apparently both can be done online).
Otoh,USSR pushed women to work, giving them more independence earlier than it came in the west. Again, easy to get free of a bad bet marriage made to shut up nagging parents.
Supposedly 80% of Russian divorces are initiated by women.

An older orthodox christian monk, a Russian soldier who was born in the Ukraine, and a fellow who he introduced as “his korean.”
They all had a good laugh…The “korean” was from eastern Russia.

I’m surprise the “DPKR soldiers” meme is still a thing. We all know what happened in South Korea right ? So, it don’t seems that useful to serve that bullshit anymore. Why persist ? Why the need of providing ever more suspicious proof Kim’s bad boys are in the hood ?

Former Russian President Medvedev has blasted the vile b*stards at the English newspaper The Times – for praising the Neo-Nazi dictatorship that runs Ukraine, for killing the Russian General Igor Kirillov.
Medvedev warned – the tired old hacks at the Mi5/Mi6 outlet (Times) that along with other Western pro-Neo Nazi newsrags, that the Times is now a legitimate military target.
A Uzbeki – who was arrested for the terrorist attack, has admitted that the Neo-Nazi dictatorship that runs Ukraine paid him to plant the bomb.

“The UN General Assembly has approved a Russian-proposed resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism, despite opposition from Ukraine and a significant group of Western countries.
The vote on a draft document titled ‘Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance’ took place on Tuesday. The resolution was adopted with 119 votes in favor, 53 against, and ten abstentions.
Those opposing the resolution included Ukraine – which Russia has long accused of promoting neo-Nazi ideology – and many of Kiev’s supporters, including NATO members Canada, France, Germany, the UK, the US, the Baltic states, and Poland.
Notable abstentions included Switzerland and Turkey.”

Kiev is preparing the city of Pokrovsk for surrender. American equipment and British Challenger 2 tanks are being withdrawn from the settlement. The city is already within striking distance of Russian barrel artillery, writes Pravda.Ru .
A number of foreign experts believe that Ukraine has missed the opportunity to leave Kurakhov without huge losses. Today, Russian soldiers are separated from the complete capture of the city and suburbs by three kilometers. Up to three battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrated inside.
One battalion is sealed on the western flank of Kurakhov, the second to the south in the area of Constantinople. But if from the west the Russian army can cut off the APU from the highway through Dachnoye, where the only road goes, then the entire grouping will be sealed. They may try to unblock it, but this event will be very risky.
In the South Donets direction The Russian Armed Forces continue to cut off the Vremevsky ledge, threatening the Ukrainians with encirclement. The Deep State portal, working for the GUR, writes about the deteriorating situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces behind the Coal Mine. And in the evening, information came that the Russian army was able to force the Mokry Yaly River and reach the Storozhevoye near Velikaya Novoselka.
Makarovka was liberated by nightfall, the nationalists fled in panic, leaving 22 corpses in Makarovka and the forest fields. The villages of Uspenovka and Constantinople was cleared by nightfall, Bandera fled from these settlements as well. Now Russian soldiers are spreading the supports in Ulaktah and Amber.
Heavy fighting continues in the border area of the Kursk region. There is an advance of Russian troops in Russian and Cherkassy Porechne, but it’s too early to talk about liberation.
The Western media began information preparation of a certain military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fact that their units in the Kursk region are being systematically destroyed has been known for a long time, but suddenly data began to be thrown in that everything is bad for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This may be due to the impending breakthrough, since there are up to 18 thousand militants in Kiev’s reserve, who, just in case, are being held near the Kursk site. It is quite possible that they will simulate a blow first in Pokrovsk or Kharkiv region.
The Kursk front is the most important direction for the cornered Zelensky. Plus, traditionally, it is necessary to monitor transportation across the Black Sea. At Christmas, the Bank always tries to come up with some kind of abomination.
The outgoing administration of Joe Biden may not have time to send Kiev the remaining 5.6 billion dollars approved by the US Congress. This is reported by The New York Times, referring to a high-ranking employee of the US Department of Defense.
By the way, the same publication reports that the Ukrainian special services assumed responsibility for the terrorist act in Moscow, in which the head of the RCBZ troops, Igor Kirillov, was killed. In response to this terrorist attack, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev proposed to destroy the military-political leadership of Ukraine.
Since October, the OPU and the Western media have been spreading the topic about the military from North Korea, which no one has seen in the era of drones and satellites, which has already turned into a joke. This is done to get more weapons and money from the West. It will also be an excuse to increase mobilization.
It is possible that the Russian army intends to enter and capture the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was stated by the head of the Communications department of the 48th EDB of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Petrenko.

the german regime is the peak of hypocricy when it comes to this resolution. domestically, they deem anything “nazi” a big fat nono, they even go so far trying to ban the afd, which they deem “nazi”, while in the real world, the german regime is actievly supporting nazism, as long as it goes against the russian people.
i refuse to believe that they have to toe the nato-line here. no, they voted against this resolution because “russia uses it to justify its aggression against ukraine”, while conveniently ignoring and omiting the fact that “ukraine”, same as some of those baltic chihuahuas, are acting and glorifying nazism.
the less said about the german sheeple that simply look the other way at all of this the better. at the end, they will all act like its the end of ww2, and simply say “das hat ja keiner kommen sehen”.

I have always wondered why RT is so enthusiastic about posting stories that paint Russia in a negative light and that demoralize supporters of Russia. I had no idea until now that Russia had such an extremely high divorce rate; now I do, thanks to a state-owned Russian media organization. 10 years ago my image of Russia was one of Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy and Tchaikovsky, excellence in physics and mathematics, traditional values, and so on. Consuming RT essentially beat that out of me with story after story like that one.
What’s the point of having an English-language state-owned Russian news site (the TV channel is not nearly as bad as the web site for some reason) when it operates essentially like RFE/RL or Voice of America, just with more credibility than the latter ones since it’s operated by Russia and not by the No. 1 enemy of Russia with an obvious motivation for constantly pushing anti-Russian propaganda?

The European oligarchs, their courtiers, and neocon buddies can play up the possibility of direct war with Russia as much as they like but it will be Trump who makes the call. Looks to me much more like a “manufacturing of consent” for the increases in defence spending and the planned austerity, for the home market more than the foreign one. Also, the Poles are not too excited about becoming the new battle front.
The German oligarchy need to ramp up the threat of Russia to ban the AfD if required (upcoming election), as do the Romanians to ban the presidential candidate that would easily win a rerun election, and Starmer needs it to support the increased authoritarianism required to push through and maintain his deeply hated policies with a population that now sees him as an outright liar. Micron needs it to hold together his anti-democratic rickety coalition and keep the NR down.
This is exactly how Oceania kept the population under control in “1984”, regular expressions of hate against the defined enemy to the take focus off internal problems and to accuse those that complain of being “xxxxx puppets” and “collaborators”. Also needed to keep the focus away from the 400,000 plus genocided in Gaza. Trump is an existential threat as he may take away Russia as an enemy.

Posted by: bored | Dec 18 2024 17:23 utc | 6
Yea … that’s the way they’re trying to spin it.
here’s the real situation. As I’ve been saying the US strategy was that sanctions were supposed to destroy Russia back in April 2022.
They didn’t.
There’s no plan B.
NATO has stated that Ukraine HAS to win or NATO is finished.
I don’t believe the Americans think that’s exactly the case … they think Ukraine can’t be allowed to lose during the Biden administration … after that it’s Trumps tar baby and no one in US politics has the forethought to think further out than the next election.
That being said there are few weapons made that have never been used in anger. The USA has invested $$Trillions in their air force and I believe there are many in the US military that can’t bear to lose to the godless Russkies without at least letting the USAF have a go at them. They also believe that Russian ICBM don’t work. I think you’ll find an lot of these true believers are the ones pushing escalation to WW3.
They’re idiots btw.

I take on board the Oceania parallels, just that I need some more convincing that the Western oligarchal elites have achieved the iron grip of Orwell’s “Party” in 1984.
One difference that I see is the target of the “2 minutes of hate” has weaponry that can reach out and bring an unpleasant dose of reality to the realm of the narrative managers. Sure, that can be leveraged to raise the level of hate, but to paraphrase an old workplace meme:
It is difficult to remember who to hate when you are up to your arse in clearing up an Oreshnik strike.

Russia should instead escalate it’s own defence against the US and Nato aggression and acts of War against Russia
Russia has no alternative, it must expand its security to such an extent that NATO’s 10-year plan becomes meaningless and no attacks can be made from Ukraine. In the long term.
So: a) completely conquer the Black Sea coast so that Ukraine cannot build a fleet and the West cannot send ships there. b) complete demilitarization of Ukraine in the long term, which also means a final blockade of NATO accession and no NATO units, however named, will be stationed there.
Only when this has been achieved can Russia perhaps offer the West a piece of Ukraine in the west (Lvov) as a consolation prize.
But all of this takes time and continued very large military deployment from Russia, a 4-year plan.
If Russia makes a ceasefire or peace treaty beforehand, without the Black Sea coast and without demilitarization, then that is only a short-term stop, after which the war will continue as soon as Ukraine has new weapons again and the West has rearmed. So it is suicide in installments.
I hope Putin sees this and Russia has enough capacity to get through this.

Ukrainians are best prepared for the end of civilization thanks to a popular video game, Evgeny Karas has said
Nuclear war would be good for Ukraine – neo-Nazi activist
Ukraine would benefit from being targeted by a Russian nuclear strike, which is why Moscow will never undertake such a step, a notorious far-right activist and head of a hate group has claimed.
Prominent Ukrainian neo-Nazi Evgeny Karas has said he would welcome a nuclear escalation in the Ukraine conflict, in an interview on Tuesday with Ukrainian broadcaster Radio Bayraktar. Karas is leader of the S14 far-right group, whose members have a record of harassing minorities and have been accused of high-profile political murder.
”Nuclear war is good,” he told the station, named after a Turkish-made attack drone. “When it happens, we’ll have no more reasons to whine. Nothing worse could happen after a nuclear strike.”
Countries like India and China would turn against Moscow, Karas argued, adding that nuclear fallout in Ukraine may even be good for evolution. “A nuclear war may help us evolve in a way that we could see through an official and tell whether he is a thief or not.”
Karas claimed that the November release of the video game ‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl’, which was developed in Ukraine, has prepared the country for a nuclear war. The country will come through a nuclear crisis and make a leap forward in technology, producing artificial intelligence and advanced robots, Karas believes.

Military conflict with NATO in Europe within the next ten years.
This is reflected in the decisions taken at the North Atlantic Alliance summit in July this year. It is also reflected in the doctrinal documents of the United States and other NATO countries.”
The Americans, who have declared Russia an “imminent and constant threat,” plan to modernize their nuclear triad by 2030, developing new nuclear warheads, bombs and missiles. At the same time, they are increasing the combat capabilities of elements of the global missile defense system. For example, in November, a missile defense base was opened in the Polish city of Redzikowo, 165 kilometers from Russia, which, with minor changes to the infrastructure, is capable of launching Tomahawk strategic cruise missiles with a range of 2,500 kilometers.
NATO countries are switching to a new system of combat readiness this year, Belousov reported. NATO strategists plan to be able to deploy a 100,000-strong group near Russia’s western borders within ten days. The target after 30 days is 300,000 soldiers and officers. After 180 days, an 800,000-strong army group should be ready to fight against Russia. In July of this year, Washington and Berlin officially announced the stationing of American medium-range missiles in Germany in 2026. And in the future, the stationing of hypersonic missiles with a flight time to Moscow of about eight minutes.

I’m neither, just detached about it in so far as a Euro-War is probably the best and only way a post-Euro-War can usher in a NWO with the empires of The Smug Garden being defeated by Russia, (and China if they choose to join in against the Anglo/EU/Yanks). Sure, lots of dead. But hey, so were WWI and II. That eventually sorted out the wheat from chaf, the facist nazis from those of higher principles. Yeah, irony much, that now those same “winners” are the ones that Russia needs to defeat this time around.
I’m in New Zealand and quite frankly don’t give fuck about the collective historical karma of those many tribal clans called Europeans, who have been waring out their disagreements for 5,000 years. From a Southern Hemisphere point of view, most of the Westernised Northern Hemisphere governments are full of smug, supremist fuckwits. May Russia teach them a humiliating lesson. Sadly their good people will suffer. But hey, that’s what happens when you vote in dictatorial warmongers and keep poking the bear. Germans, see the pattern?
I don’t predict a global WWIII, as the BRICS group and Global South are too smart to take a side. They’ll let RF squash NATO, if that’s the limit of it. If China and NK see the US mainland weapons and troops entering the Euro-War, they will shoot east in defence of Russia … or at least threaten to. I reckon that’s the point of all Putin’s security deals to Moscow’s east.
Meanwhile, we Kiwis can just get on with our sheep shagging in peace!

Good day for the RFA, taking 28.4 kmsq (compare to 23/day in NOV). Most of the gain was from a gray cope pocket S of Pischane bloom (the one to the N, not near Pokrovsk) changing to red. Decent gains also near Pokrovsk and at the Uspenivka pocket (closed now). A tiny, tiny RFA gain near Velyka Novasilka also.

Jared @ 7, Salmon @ 18:
As Mary @ 23 says, there may be cultural and legal differences in defining marriage and divorce that can influence the statistics. This is especially so in the Russian Federation, where there are cultures that may consider marriage as no more than a contract between two parties. If one party breaks or dishonours the contract, or on the other hand the contract fulfils certain objectives and is no longer needed, then the other party can stop it or end it through divorce. In some Muslim cultures and denominations (mainly Shi’ite, though I understand most Muslims in the RF are Sunni), a marriage can last as little as a few hours depending on the marriage contract.
Some people can get married and divorced over and over, and those people can push up the divorce rate. The Pareto principle aka the 80/20 rule beloved of marketing companies may be in operation.
In short, you can’t always trust the sloppy journalism at RT if they don’t cite proper sources for their statements.

@karlof
I’ve broached this with you previously.
Peter’s biolabs research. .. From what he posted, and what he knew, was almost encyclopaedic.
But it’s locked in a silo on his VK.
What I learned from my decade+ in the 9/11 rabbit hole, is the internet is *not* forever. Important material disappears. Is scrubbed. Evaporates like a mirage.
Can I suggest, rather than link to Peter’s VK, you do an article and revisit the whole biolabs story.
Few people know how Hunter Biden’s company was neck deep in the biolabs.
The Ukraine war has a huge component of being waged to cover up the Collective Biden “activities” in that country (as you of course know).
Peter’s work risks being lost. And it’s way too valuable to disappear.
Please republish it on your substack where it will be more accessible and held in a “safer” (for now) repository.
~~ Also. Thanks for all the research and dissemination of information that you do.
Since 2022 I’ve noticed a very definite and increasing restriction on information I can access.
In 2004-2010/ish so much material was freely floating on the interwebs about 9/11.
Today, the information containment and control is literally unbelievable to me.
I would not have believed in 2005 that by 2025 information was several magnitudes more restricted.
Thanks again, your contributions are always appreciated and highly valued.

So the release of C19 in Wuhan by US in October 2019 could well be a Biden project and not Trump’s.

I think it likely that Russia will hold some in the security services of Ukraine responsible for the assassination. Which raises the question, which will be worse for those people, to be working in offices deep below ground, or to be assigned a spot in a run of the mill place above ground?

Posted by: Babel-17 | Dec 19 2024 0:02 utc | 81

I’m surprised anyone hasn’t brought up the obvious question, was Putin involved in the assassination? It’s easy to blame ‘the west’ in order to distract attention away from the real perpatrators. Putin is certainly not averse to this kind of operation especially as a good will gest

Don’t worry there are plenty of generals who know what Putin is really about, the traitor he is leading Russia to the abyss of defeat and disintegration. I am 100% certain that Putin was behind this assassination and he chose someone whose death would please the West.

A billion sounds a lot, but it’s really the new million. The USPS spent $3 billion dollars on 32 EV mail trucks, and the national debt is costing upwards of $5 billion daily to service, so really the billions you talk about are rather small potatoes (expensive, undoubtedly, but in the scheme of things negligible).
As for the article, it reads like something a Tom Clancy character would say at a super-secret briefing, reassuring pap, only this time coming from the ‘baddies’. Maybe Russia’s also been secretly working on the Firefox!

‘I doubt Russia and China recognise this yet. If they do, they are not acting like it.’
Ever considered the possibility that they are fully cognisant of the global situation but are incapable of carrying out your fantasy? I’d probably think that both have assembled committees to investigate the long-term strategic implications of Trump’s second bite at the apple, instead of getting them to plan the subjugation of the West.

Putin, Zelensky and NATO are all in cahoots in this war which is destroying East Slavic civilization, the only way Russia has a chance to survive is if Putin’s regime is overthrown. It can be done, in fact it is inevitable, the only people benefiting from this war are NATO..

Mental cases
https://loudme.ai/m/cm4uj7p8i00ktofmvcaomb353
Who are these? Why sit they here in twilight?
Wherefore rock they, purgatorial shadows,
Drooping tongues from jays that slob their relish,
Baring teeth that leer like skulls’ teeth wicked?
Stroke on stroke of pain,- but what slow panic,
Gouged these chasms round their fretted sockets?
Ever from their hair and through their hands’ palms
Misery swelters. Surely we have perished
Sleeping, and walk hell; but who these hellish?
-These are men whose minds the Dead have ravished.
Memory fingers in their hair of murders,
Multitudinous murders they once witnessed.
Wading sloughs of flesh these helpless wander,
Treading blood from lungs that had loved laughter.
Always they must see these things and hear them,
Batter of guns and shatter of flying muscles,
Carnage incomparable, and human squander
Rucked too thick for these men’s extrication.
Therefore still their eyeballs shrink tormented
Back into their brains, because on their sense
Sunlight seems a blood-smear; night comes blood-black;
Dawn breaks open like a wound that bleeds afresh.
-Thus their heads wear this hilarious, hideous,
Awful falseness of set-smiling corpses.
-Thus their hands are plucking at each other;
Picking at the rope-knouts of their scourging;
Snatching after us who smote them, brother,
Pawing us who dealt them war and madness.

The nature of digital data and information makes it inevitable. It is much more centralized and controllable than printed media. For something to be saved it should be in print form. My 2005 self would be surprised that as much information is allowed today, though I might be fooling myself with AI.
When the UKrain/RU war started there was a block of RT, in the US, for about a week. Ever since it has subtly changed tone. It appears to still be useful and informative, but the stories are almost clones of ZHedge and Infowars. It could be happening here for all I know.

I also think the demographic age structure needs to be looked at in relation to those stats as those marrying now were born in the very tense times of the late 1990s-early 2000s which as with Ukraine was a time of very low births, so the number of marriages is going to be less ipso-facto. And despite all the incentives to form families, Russia still has 1,000 men (mostly), presumably single, joining the military daily.
IMO, all the demographic uplifting policies need time to work.

I also saw this video with Apti. Such a funny guy. Interestingly “the Korean” said he was from Sakhalin. Its an island off the far east coast, before WWII shared by Japan and CCCP. Japan sent Korean labourers to its part and after the war CCCP gained full control but the “North” Korean population remained. My point is there are definitely North Koreans living in Sakhalin who are legitimate and patriotic Russian citizens and probably despise the West.

China has 55 ethnic minority groups that includes Russians and Koreans.

Thanks for your reply. Your concerns entered my head as I worked within Peter’s archive since he has linked to many articles that can become delinked in the future. The meter telling visitors to the page says it’s been two months since he was last there. If you read my article, you’ll have noted my request to my Aussie readers. I do have an idea but need to check substack’s rules first–a library adjunct to the Gym holding Peter’s archive and other primary source documents.

The impression I got looking through Russian posts re:the high divorce rate is that they may have a high marriage rate as well. Some people just keep trying. Eg I once had an Aussie boss on his 4th try.

Futility

Move him into the sun–
Gently its touch awoke him once,
At home, whispering of fields unsown.
Always it awoke him, even in France,
Until this morning and this snow.
If anything might rouse him now
The kind old sun will know.
Think how it wakes the seeds–
Woke, once, the clays of a cold star.
Are limbs so dear-achieved, are sides
Full-nerved,–still warm,–too hard to stir?
Was it for this the clay grew tall?
–O what made fatuous sunbeams toil
To break earth’s sleep at all?

Yup, war definitely impacts both marriage & divorce rate.
Also, although on average 105 boys are born for every 100 girls, more boy babies die, iirc within 1st year, so the ratio reverses. So even before war kills off or wrecks marriageable men, there are more females than males.
At least Russia is not actively trying to kill off its population! And yes, paying families to have kids helps. And giving women the choice to either stay home or use (hopefully good) government child care should prove helpful.

Strange meeting
https://loudme.ai/m/cm4ugmt8c00m6ofmx680tf5kh
It seemed that out of the battle I escaped
Down some profound dull tunnel, long since scooped
Through granites which Titanic wars had groined.
Yet also there encumbered sleepers groaned,
Too fast in thought or death to be bestirred.
Then, as I probed them, one sprang up, and stared
With piteous recognition in fixed eyes,
Lifting distressful hands as if to bless.
And by his smile, I knew that sullen hall;
And by his dead smile I knew we stood in Hell.
With a thousand fears that vision’s face was grained;
Yet no blood reached there from the upper ground,
And no guns thumped, or down the fluies made moan.
“Strange, friend,” I said, “Here is no cause to mourn.”
“None,” said the other, “Save the undone years,
The hopelessness. Whatever hope is yours,
Was my life also; I went hunting wild
After the wildest beauty in the world,
Which lies not calm in eyes, or braided hair,
But mocks the steady running of the hour,
And if it grieves, grieves richlier than here.
For by my glee might many men have laughed,
And of my weeping something has been left,
Which must die now. I mean the truth untold,
The pity of war, the pity war distilled.
Now men will go content with what we spoiled.
Or, discontent, boil bloody, and be spilled.
They will be swift with swiftness of the tigress,
None will break ranks, though nations trek from progress.
Courage was mine, and I had mystery;
Wisdom was mine, and I had mastery;
To miss the march of this retreating world
Into vain citadels that are not walled.
Then, when much blood had clogged their chariot-wheels
I would go up and wash them from sweet wells,
Even with truths that lie too deep for taint.
I would have poured my spirit without stint
But not through wounds; not on the cess of war.
Foreheads of men have bled where no wounds were.
I am the enemy you killed, my friend.
I knew you in this dark; for so you frowned
Yesterday through me as you jabbed and killed.
I parried; but my hands were loath and cold.
Let us sleep now …
