Why would Russian troops blow the dam, they need to cross that river sooner enough?
Likely misinformation from Kiev.

I’ve seen a Russian source claiming the Ukies blew the dam in order to flood the Volchya River downstream. Looking at various maps this river generally meanders in a westerly direction from the reservoir for about 20km, so maybe not crucial to cross at the dam??
Where’s @Anonymous, who would doubtlessly be able to describe the full chapter and verse of each mm²…

The neocon democrats impeached Trump for trying to slow the graft in 2019.
Trump walks in and says “Biden” ran a crooked scam, it stops today 21 Jan2025.
Biden crooked, Trump reformer….
Everyone not making money from Ukraine know if we win it goes nuke, the war games go back 60 years.

I wonder when the major beneficiaries of The Zelensky Dollar Laundromat began to have their Bezos moment and started to take steps to secure their investment.
For Trump, focusing on the corruption is a strategy that would reap massive benefits: resurrecting his reputation, removing or fixing his RINO/Uni-Party opponents, in both Houses, cleaning the IC stables and highlighting the real reason for Europe’s support of the war, useful in any trade negotiations and helpful to the survival of any peace deal agreed with Russia.
Final question, will Trump air the dirty laundry publicly, or use it to coerce his opponents to support or stop blocking his agenda?

So I think not even a nuke turning some town into a glass carpark will convince them. They´re beyond reason.

I hope for the best with Trump, and Vance. I think Vance has a future.
That said the moral and information environment in USA is deeply troubling.
In this recent count Harris got 7 million fewer ballots than Biden, the obvious question is why so many of the 2020 ballots were unaudited but very heavily weighted for Biden.

From the map it looks like the Ukrainians have been driven into the swamps, both in the Kursk region and in the Donbas. Russia is playing the seasonal timing of their advance quite well. The drainage the Ukrainians are using for defensive positions should freeze over soon.

Exaggerated notion of Russian military might took hold at a time when the
utility of Western military power with its focus on counterinsurgency started
being questioned and calls were made for more investments in conventional
warfighting capabilities. Within this context, evidence of growing Russian
military strength was favored, consciously or subconsciously over analysis of
weaknesses because it was supportive of this agenda.
But even if it was not a tactical calculation by the military and defense politicians to overestimate Russian military capabilities: After nine years of military intervention in Syria, the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and over two years of Russian aggressive war in Ukraine, Russian capabilities for major military offensives and the strategic relevance of weapons systems can be assessed more realistically.
In Syria, it has become clear that the Russian Navy does not have the ability to project power sustainably, at least in the European seas. A single fleet could only be kept operational for a short time and at great expense. The Black Sea Fleet did not even manage to bring the Ukrainian coast under permanent control despite the absence of a Ukrainian navy. Despite their considerable range and firepower, these ships are in principle more suitable for extended coastal protection tasks and not for a permanent presence on the high seas. According to Russian plans, the Russian air defense systems S-400, S-300 and Pantsir should make it impossible for NATO to exploit its air superiority.
However, the S-400 Triumph still lacks missiles that have been developed sufficiently for this purpose, and at least in Syria it was clear that the predecessor model S-300 stationed there was not able to prevent the air attacks by French, British and US aircraft on Syrian positions.
Israel has also been flying combat missions in Syria with older F-15s and F-16s for many years and has only lost one Aircraft .
In addition to the bottlenecks in supplies, the land forces have also shown that the operational capability and combat readiness of the Russian units are not comparable to those of the NATO forces. In Ukraine, the Russian troops are fighting desertion. Even well-equipped units are being wiped out due to a lack of support from other branches of the armed forces. Russia is increasingly having to set up new, undermanned units that are also equipped with outdated weapons systems. In contrast, NATO states have been conducting several military operations abroad simultaneously for many years – to varying degrees – without significant losses and without the further modernization of the armed forces coming to a standstill.

The Germans were at the forefront of demands that Serbia gets bombed and dismembered, it was because of Serbia delaying the German advance on Moscow by a few months during WW2. France was at the forefront of demands that Ghadafi gets removed, because Ghadafi had some dirt on France and Sarkozy. And now the Europeans, Brussels, are at the forefront of demands that Russia gets bombed and dismembered. The Europeans sure don’t like untermensch eclipsing them.

It seems to me now after reading Diesen that maybe the European elites in Brussel are the ones pushing for the expansion of Europe Eastward at fhe expense of Russia.
Maybe Brussel is in the driver seat and Washington through NATO/Biden was the puppet.

I dunno. The US is alleged to have benefitted from the conflict, e.g. from weapon sales, at the expense of the European economy, including that of the French. I remember there was a document from the RAND Corporation that discusses the role of the US in the Ukraine conflict. And for all I know, Macron is a Rothschild banking agent who we wouldn’t put it past to ruin his own country, and Starmer’s UK isn’t an EU member anymore.
Unless there’s something about master-slave relations that I seem to be missing…?

I find it intersting that Germany announced two factories working in Ukr for months now, diaper boy approved US “contractors” to be deployed last week, yet Russia has not hit a single one of them, at least they don’t say it. Or the factories don’t exist. Either way, it makes no difference, they’re still not doing anything useful with the smo. The time will come when people will ask why is Ukr never hit and only Donbass (and Kursk now) are leveled, that is only Russia, and who is the RF government and MoD working for. Which is exactly why Nato is prepared for an endless war since Maidan, with EU, like Merkel, the Sausage or the Macaron. There is nothing to lose, all options are good, and that is why they have not even approved RF’s sad surrender in Istanbul, following the previous sad surrender in Minsk agreements.

The Way the Trump Wind is Blowing Measured on the Kremlin Scale
https://johnhelmer.net/the-way-the-trump-wind-is-blowing-measured-on-the-kremlin-scale/
“…In wartime, media debate is severely curtailed when the combatant states legislate to restrict information likely to aid the enemy.
In the Anglo-American media, for example, the current defeat of the US and NATO forces on the Ukrainian battlefield continues to be reported as success – if not now, then soon; or in 20 years when President Putin will have retired, and when the Ukraine will have been rearmed and ready to reopen the NATO war against Russia without end…”

It’s strange, but recently the news that was so beloved by some media outlets in the style of “a retired US Army colonel said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ position is hopeless” or “Scott Ritter believes that Kiev has already lost” or “former NATO general Steve Jopkins is confident that there will be no new Ukrainian offensive” has completely disappeared.
Perhaps it’s just me who doesn’t come across such optimistic texts. But if the genre of “look, an incomprehensible foreigner is saying something good” has left us forever, this is a sign of the recovery of our information space.

Kursk Region, Russia.
“A view from the other side.”
The footage published by the enemy shows an attempt by soldiers of the 810th separate Guards Orders of Zhukov and Ushakov Marine Brigade to break through in the settlement of Pogrebki.
The reason for what you see in the footage was another lie from the local command of the General Staff. Earlier, false information was reported that the road (on which the equipment was later blown up) came under our control. It is logical that after receiving this information, the General Staff gave the order to storm the settlement. Before
the attack, no one even thought about demining the road…
/in general, deliberate misinformation of the General Staff by the command of the 810th is already an established practice .
/ /you can’t lie. Is it possible to screw the General Staff in order to get medals and advance in your career ?

NATO trolls should be shot. Which is obviously not going to happen if their opponents are not allowed to fire their rifles. And that is likewise the situation when it comes to defending against Israeli or American military aircraft. It does not mean the Russian missile systems are inferior, the fault is in the top people who (for whatever reason) refuse to permit their use.
After so many years, how could you fail to notice that?

Posted by: Cynic | Nov 12 2024 13:41 utc | 221

There are a lot of critical nuances in practice, such as automatically holding a bright illumination laser on target, firing a shell or rocket close enough to a target that it can pick up the illumination and steer onto target before impact.
All of this stuff that would require support from existing MIC players exists in a one-twentieth speed parallel universe, the most successful workaround so far has been to construct entirely new systems from hobbyist components.
But, why not, if it’s a plausible substitute for human wave tactics and guys manually throwing rigged anti-tank mines through windows, dream on!
https://t.me/UAVDEV/7523

The Ukrainians were supplied with a bunch of M712 Copperheads , which are the ancestors of the Krasnopolye.
The projectile is fired at the target area and then aimed at the “sunbeam” from the laser beam projected onto the target.
In the classic version, a laser guider is similar to a telescope on a tripod, but now laser designators are mounted on drones.
The drone must capture the target and hold the laser spot on the target until the Copperhead arrives.
That is, in addition to the carrier itself (aircraft or copter), a guidance station must be mounted to the projectile – a stabilized camera with a laser.
I remember Vladlen Tatarsky at the beginning of the SVO swearing that we have a lot of Krasnopolyes, but nothing to guide them with – 30 Orlans and Inohodets are not enough. Give us data on the guiding beam so that we can make guides!
And I explained why they will not give us the data
. Because it is secret and not allowed. Although you can find all the information on the Copperhead’s guiding beam on Google patents, which is not much different from the one in Krasnopol.
And the most terrible sedition – the Ukrainians have their own Krasnopol – Barvinok – which they cobbled together based on the Soviet legacy and made 10 pieces. Nevertheless, the technology is not a secret for them.
And now they have Copperheads.
We still don’t have a people’s gunner, because it’s secret.
Well, in all other respects, they were leaked weapons of the past era, as always. Yes, a projectile with laser guidance is not sensitive to electronic warfare in the radio spectrum, but the drone gunner is sensitive.

https://t.me/rusengineer/5722

Now let’s dream. We take a laser sight, attach it to a drone like a Mavic with a jam-resistant connection, connect it to the ROC at the platoon-company, battalion level, with a guided 120 mm mine, or a 122 mm rocket based on the Tornado-G, from a pickup truck on 6-8 guides…
What can resist such a unit? If any field fortification, equipment, including mobile, a cluster of soldiers at a distance of 8-30 km are destroyed with an accuracy of 1 meter and in 30-40 seconds after detection and identification? And not 2-3 kg of warhead like the FPV, but 12-30?
The ZGT is pushing in the wrong direction, oh, in the wrong direction. Just as military science does not see the current trends in the evolution of weapons for the development of technical specifications.
(LTS – laser target designator, ROC – reconnaissance and fire circuit, ZGT – protection of state secrets, TZ – technical assignment)

Purest fiction from the same dipshits who got into this war and now rely on rosy tinted assessments of it in order to avoid a number of bad outcomes gestating.
Russia doesn’t care, it will just keep winning while the reality show with nukes continues hyperventilating.
The West has lost so much equipment in Ukraine it’s unlikely they could even directly enter the war. Conventionally, they would be defeated even without nuclear weapons. Further, Western air superiority and manuver warfare doctrines have been shown to be obsolete in the age of the hypersonic missile and FPV drone.
I feel like the insipid mouth breathers who insist on posting obvious Western propaganda and outright lies do so to help reinforce their delicate psychological state. You ok, bro? Tell us, is Russia in the room with us now?
Unfortunately for the deluded, propaganda doesn’t win wars. It also won’t save the West from the coming economic calamity that the same idiots steered their societies into. The unwise should perhaps read more widely and repost the snivelling words of others less often.

I don’t know about 28 Russian tanks destroyed and 100 soldiers killed in a single day in the Kursk area.
However, the crazy Russian attack a few days ago caused numerous casualties and massive technical losses when a deranged Russian commander ordered a frontal attack without fire support and without prior reconnaissance.
The Ukrainians were allegedly informed and had prepared accordingly in the affected section of the front.

While on the surface the no NATO for 20 years seems a non starter will uncle sugar daddy exist like it does now? In 20 years USA interest payment on their national debt will exceed social security medicaid medicare and military combined. A NATO as we know it uncle sugar running things and handing out green stamps seems very unlikely. In 20 years China and Russian military superiority will be non debatable. Can any one really see the corrupt Ukraine oligarchs living off sugar daddy green stamps still existing? I cant.
At its basis this is worship of Solomon green stamps by the neo liberal EU and uncle sugar. Mental disorder. Russia certainly has no problem with nation states providing their own security. EU is unable to accept the realities that providing security for themselves without solomon bucks and uncle sugar poses so easier to persist in mental disorder with little flaws like no energy. Once solomon green stamps go digital everything will be fine.

Louis you are the poster boy for “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing”
1. Syria doesn’t operate S-400’s.They have 3 sets of S-300’s each with a 250 km range in a country with an area of 185,000 Sq Km. Russia has one set of S-400 protecting the latikia air base and port of Tartus. Unless the IDF is attacking the Russian air base at latakia they’ve never encountered a Russian S-400. The backbone of Syria’s air defence are upgraded S-200’s
2. 15% of Israeli’s are Russian. That’s more than twice the number of Americans that emigrated to Israel and Russians are no more likely to kill their sons, daughter and grandpas than Americans are. Russian rules of engagement don’t allow the IDF to be targeted unless they are directly attacking the Russian bases in Syria.
3. IDF F-15’s and F-16 attack Syria by flying down Lebanons Bekka valley then popping up to launch missiles. You see the IDF have glide bombs and missiles that allow them to attack Syria without overflying their air space out of range of Syrian air defences and the Russians will share targeting data on bombs and missiles but not IDF aircraft.
Get a fucking clue.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Strikes on military-industrial complex facilities in Zaporozhye
On the night of November 12-13, 2024, Russian tactical aviation carried out strikes on military-industrial complex facilities in the city of Zaporozhye , seriously disrupting the enemy’s production capacity.
📍 Coordinates: 47.8119998, 35.0233462
Object: Vesna Electrical Equipment Plant
At around 20:40, an attack was carried out on the plant, which specialized in the production of automation and control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result:
• The electronic components assembly shop , where control systems for reconnaissance and strike UAVs were produced, was destroyed. • High-precision DMG MORI DMU 50
CNC machines , designed for processing aluminum and composite materials, were destroyed. • Equipment for soldering and mounting printed circuit boards was damaged, including ERSA i-CON VARIO 4 units and Koh Young Zenith automatic optical inspection systems . • The navigation equipment testing laboratory , where GPS/GLONASS systems for unmanned aerial vehicles were tested, was completely disabled . • The Rohde & Schwarz SMB100A and Keysight N9010B testing systems , used to configure electronic systems, were destroyed . • The plant’s warehouses, which contained components for assembling new systems, burned down as a result of the impact.
📍 Coordinates: 47.8175944, 35.0222804
Object: Pluton PJSC
At about 01:10, an airstrike hit the production facilities of the enterprise, which after modernization was engaged in the manufacture of components for military equipment . Results of the strike:
• The main production workshop suffered critical damage. The supporting structures of the building collapsed, which makes restoration impossible without complete reconstruction. • Schuler PSM
hydraulic presses and Mazak VCN-530C machines , which were used to produce bodies and parts of military equipment, were destroyed. • TRUMPF TruLaser 3030 laser machines used for cutting metals were damaged. • The electrical section , which manufactured elements for fire control systems, was destroyed. Among the destroyed equipment: • Omicron CMC 356 test stands . • NI PXIe-1085 automated quality control systems . • The fire covered an area of more than 500 square meters. It will take at least two weeks to eliminate the consequences, which will completely paralyze the operation of the facility.
📌 Additional Damage
During the strike on the Vesna plant, a nearby sewing factory that produced ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was damaged . Among the destroyed items:
• Tactical unloading systems and body armor with integrated plates.
• Helmets and equipment for Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
• Uniform sets and covers for military equipment.

Kramatorsk-Druzhkivske direction, reports Front Line Our operators several FPV drones to engage and destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces BMP. The drones flew to the target unnoticed, using maneuverability and speed. Each drone successfully hit the armored personnel carrier, making a precise strike, which led to its destruction. Effective tactics have shown high efficiency in the destruction of protected targets using unmanned aircraft. Two majors and Front Line

🚁A new development from OOO KPB Polet – a net thrower for FPV drones!
The net thrower can be installed on any FPV drone. The effective target engagement zone is 4 to 6 meters away, the net opening radius is 2 meters. The net thrower is activated by an electric fuse. Its weight together with the charge is only 350 grams.
In addition, the company is working on creating autonomous drone hunters to engage air targets, but the details are still a secret.
📹The video demonstrates the operation of both the net thrower and the autonomous hunter in action!

Kind people from among the subscribers helped to arm our strike groups of army aviation with dozens of drone detectors and the first reviews from military pilots have already arrived.
The detectors “see” further in the air than on the ground, they see both drones and drone operators (naturally, the radiation of transmitters, and not the drone operators themselves).
Actions upon detection of drones in groups have been worked out. The experience is spread by word of mouth through prohibited devices with advanced multimedia capabilities. It’s really fucking awesome.
In general, I again convey a big thank you for such valuable gifts.🤝

War chronicle:
“Notes of a Veteran” and “Ghost of New Russia ” write about the Kursk region.
First, no one has yet been held accountable for the failed preparation of the area for an enemy attack. A large area of the Sudzhansky district is occupied and there is no prospect of defeating the enemy in the near future. The Ukrainian forces are replenishing the region with new forces every day, regardless of losses.
The enemy’s plan is simple and clear: to hold the bridgehead in the Kursk region for as long as possible and possibly expand it. Military experts will say that the dirt needs to “freeze” and then we knock it out or “dry it up” so that the equipment can move, but as time goes on, the enemy digs deeper and deeper into the ground and equips support structures.
With its invasion of the Kursk region, the enemy has exposed a multitude of our problems: military, organizational, personnel, information and media problems. And most of them have not yet been solved. The head of the Sudzha district, who had publicly stated in the first week that Sudzha was under Russia’s control and why people were going there to be invaded by Ukraine’s armed forces, was only recently dismissed from his post to cheers from the refugees.
So far, the main focus has been on mobilizing Russia’s capabilities. It is gone. If you fight at 10% and involve society in a war, is it any wonder that the enemy can not only resist effectively with this 10%, but also gain an advantage over the 10%.

Our comment on the Houthi attacks on US destroyers.
According to the American side, it was a complex and rather sophisticated attack, including 8 drones, 5 anti-ship ballistic missiles and 3 anti-ship cruise missiles. However, the US destroyers were able to successfully repel the attack. It is possible to discuss at length whether there was damage, but most likely the US Navy really fought back without damage.
It is also worth noting that the Arleigh Burke destroyers are often criticized for using outdated subsonic Harpoon missiles as anti-ship weapons. However, many forget that their main task when they were created was to protect carrier groups and other naval combat units from large-scale attacks by enemy air forces , including modern anti-ship missiles. As we can see, this concept has proven itself. We have many anti-ship strike missiles in the fleet, but problems with air defense remain from the times of the USSR.
However, we do not want to focus on this. Once again, the Western military concept, which has been subjected to numerous criticism and ridicule from domestic experts, has demonstrated its effectiveness. This also applies to JDAM, which prompted us to urgently start developing our own analogue of the UMPK. It turned out that super-maneuverability is not a decisive factor, and stealth technologies really work. In addition, the artillery created within the framework of the JBMoU memorandum easily surpasses ours.
This post is not a “praise of Western military genius” (because there is enough retrograde and their own stripes there), but serves as a reminder that underestimating the enemy and in general someone else’s experience and real achievements, and reducing everything to arrogant ridicule and analog-net arrogance is a mistake. We should study everything and thoughtfully borrow the best of what is possible, and not create “analog-nets” that sometimes do not meet the requirements of modern warfare (and therefore there is no particular desire to make analogs for them) and dance around them cargo cults.
And it is high time to systematically stop the situation when, if you don’t have something of your own, then choose a proud nothing-but-your-own, than to buy something foreign, with background songs of various “experts” in the genre of “if we don’t have something that other armies have, it’s simply because we don’t need it.” It is better to import-substitute later what you already have thanks to imports, than to sit without something and wait until they finally make their own.

A spectacular video of a hybrid robot-dog with a wheeled chassis moving across rough terrain was shown by the Chinese company Deep robotics. Note how fast the four-legged robot moves in the forest. When such a robot is equipped with a payload, in the form of cameras or weapons, it is possible to quickly and effectively conduct reconnaissance of the area or other operations. Most do not take this seriously yet, but military robots of this kind will be used in the near future. In China, a group work of military robot dogs was recently shown.

Blinken Says Biden is Sending Aid To Help Ukraine Keep Fighting Next Year
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/blinken-says-biden-is-sending-aid-to-help-ukraine-keep-fighting-next-year
“The Biden administration is determined in its final months to help ensure that Ukrainians keep fighting off Russia’s full scale invasion next year, sending it as much aid as possible so that it might hold Russian forces at bay and possess a strong hand in any political peace negotiations, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday.
‘President Biden has committed to making sure that every dollar we have at our disposal will be pushed out the door between now and Jan 20’, when president-elect Donald Trump is due to be sworn in, Blinken said.
NATO countries must focus their efforts on ‘ensuring that Ukraine has the money, munitions and mobilized forces to fight effectively in 2025, and to be able to negotiate a peace from a position of strength’, Blinken said during a visit to Brussels.”
‘Canada will continue providing military, financial and other assistance until Ukraine achieves victory.’ – Justin Trudeau 11/13/2024

Ukraine Could Have Nuclear Weapons in Months – Report
https://www.rt.com/russia/607596-zelensky-ukraine-nuclear-threat/
“A Kiev based think tank has claimed that the country has enough plutonium to build hundreds of crude warheads.
Excerpts from the paper were published in The Times on Wednesday. According to the British newspaper, the report has been shared with Ukraine’s deputy defense minister and will be presented at a conference attended by the country’s defense and strategic industries minister.
Last month, Zelensky declared that Ukraine would attempt to acquire nuclear weapons if it is denied NATO membership, although he later walked these comments back. ‘Russia will not allow this to happen, no matter what,’ Putin said in response.”

A the situation is becoming so strong for RF, I decided to take a peek at ISW (for anyone who doesn’t know, it’s pure western bullshit propaganda and should not be on anyone’s diet)
It’s so dire for them that they even assume they got things wrong and RF is definitely winning in significant areas and things will be bleak for AFU if it loses some more critical points.

The BBC relied heavily on maps from ISW for a long time. It can’t be going well for Ukraine if the BBC haven’t updated their Ukraine in Maps page since 23 August.

They write to us:
🖋”Hello, comrades majors. This is the chief physician of the garrison hospital. I would like to draw your attention to medical supplies.
The war is in its third year. The amount of medicine collected by volunteers and sent to the front is estimated at hundreds of tons. Meanwhile, the supply system for the military level has not been built. There are still no medical warehouses for the army, division, or regiment according to the staff. In some places, there are freelance organisms, which are often created from “humanitarian aid.”
Hospitals, special-purpose medical units, and medical battalions do not have the responsibility for supplying a zone or area in their functionality. More precisely, they help quietly, but they have no instructions on this matter, and if they need to be supplied, they receive property in a completely different volume. I would like to note that our colleagues from the RAV, RKhBZ, sappers, and rear services have more or less built a system for the third year, and we are lagging behind. Maybe it’s time to treat the wounded with medicine purchased by the state, at least partially?”
✨We also know about problems in a number of frontline hospitals. Including in the Donetsk direction. Of course, the medical staff says that there is no point in raising the problem, since it is systemic and requires very serious consideration. And, frankly speaking, they are afraid of reprisals in the event of publicizing the “imperfections” of the supplies of a specific hospital. We continue to help volunteers. Here, for example, is a list off the top of my head. Right down to green paint and bandages . Of course, the volunteers practically throw medicines over the fence. Because you can’t treat with untested medicines. And not treating is also impossible.
For esteemed comrade Belousov, this is another Augean stable inherited. Medical.

Filling in for Down South in his, hopefully, temporary absence. This link will pull up all the “#Summary” posts on Two Majors (rus): https://t.me/s/dva_majors?q=%23%D0%A1%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B4%D0%BA%D0%B0
https://t.me/dva_majors/57682

#Summary for the morning of November 14, 2024
▪️Yesterday morning, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined missile and drone strike on Kiev for the first time in 73 days. Air-launched missiles from strategic bombers were used to hit the designated targets.
▪️Heavy fighting for Plekhovo and Novaya Sorochina continues in Kursk Oblast , the enemy is firing cannon artillery and using numerous drones. The enemy’s concentration of efforts is evidenced by the destruction of a heavy British Challenger 2 tank by the marines of our 155th Brigade , a rather rare and difficult-to-operate tank. The very fact that it was transferred by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a reserve to Kursk Oblast indicates the enemy’s intention to hold the occupied lines in our region at all costs. The “North” group of troops advanced in heavy fighting to Novoivanovka and the forests in the Malaya Loknya area. The enemy is throwing fresh reserves and NATO armored vehicles into battle and is putting up fierce resistance. OTRK and Tornado-S crews continue to work on the collection points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves in Sumy Oblast.
▪️At night, enemy resources reported from the Kupyansk direction about our troops entering Kupyansk, which marks the beginning of the battle for the city . According to enemy estimates, two columns of Russian equipment moved from the Liman Pervy area to Kupyansk. They managed to enter the city and land troops, which dispersed among the houses in the Svatovskaya Street area. The enemy describes the situation as “the front entrance to Kupyansk.”
▪️In the Pokrovsky direction west of Petrovka, the Russian Armed Forces advanced along the railway, the depth is about 1 km.
▪️The Russian army continues to storm Kurakhovo and form wide “pincers” around this city, which is important for the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thus, in the north there are battles in the Ilyinka area, and from the south our troops are advancing on Dalneye. The blowing up of the Kurakhovo Reservoir dam in the west by the Ukrainian Armed Forces could not prevent the movement of even civilian SUVs (the area is still under enemy control).
▪️In the Vremyevsk direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the liberation of the settlement of Rivne, and offensive actions by our troops continue.
▪️On the Zaporizhzhya Front, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are urgently forming a second line of defense, staffing it with reserves. The enemy expects our troops to launch a large-scale offensive.
▪️In the Kherson direction, our UAV operators and artillery are destroying enemy positions on the right bank of the Dnieper River. The enemy is responding with shelling of civilians. In Kakhovka, shelling of residential areas by the Ukrainian Armed Forces resulted in damage to two gas pipelines. In the village of Novaya Zburyevka in the Golopristansky municipal district, the Nazis attacked an ambulance.
▪️In the Belgorod region, in the village of Gruzskoye, Borisovsky district, as a result of a kamikaze drone attack, four men were injured. In the village of Oktyabrsky, Belgorod district, as a result of a drone detonation, a trailer of a truck caught fire – the fire was extinguished. Shebekino – under artillery shelling, Novaya Tavolzhanka was subjected to UAV drops.
▪️In the DPR, as a result of the shelling of Gorlovka by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 143 transformer substations were de-energized. Without electricity, water and heat – 60 thousand people.
The summary was compiled by: Two majors

Notes of a Veteran” and “Ghost of New Russia ” write about the Kursk region.Blah blah blah ….
Posted by: guest from franconia | Nov 13 2024 19:52 utc | 249
Consider that the reason the Russian border around kursk was left undefended is because there is nothing in that direction worth defending.
Look at a map … no major highways or rail lines supplying the front .. no cities, mines or factories … difficult, hilly forested terrain. Not exactly the best terrain for an armoured spearhead to penetrate. They didn’t have nearly the combat power to reach the only objective worth seizing in the Kursk NPP and any one wargaming this scenario could see this but they did it anyway
So the Ukrainians now have a force that consisted of 30,000 of Ukraines best soldiers and mercenaries armed with western weapons stuck in the Kursk region going nowhere. No air support, logistic lines under fire control, unable to move forward but unable to retreat without suffering terrible casualties.
It’s one thing to get surrounded and caught in a cauldron by the enemies manuevers but to create the cauldron yourself is unprecedented.
