Warrior With A Just Cause Dies As Such
Wednesday's death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar will be noted as a significant victory for the resistance.
Sinwar's death was announced by the army of the 'Zionist entity' and its defense minister, not by its leadership in form of prime minister Netanyahoo. This points to a significant discord between them.
The Times of Israel describes his death:
[Sinwar] was not being directly targeted, and troops only realized that one of the three terrorists killed in the incident was apparently Sinwar when they inspected the scene on Thursday morning. … After the three terrorists were spotted, fired at and injured, two headed into one building and the third, who turned out to be Sinwar, went into another, the military said. The other two terrorists were apparently bodyguards of Sinwar’s and had been moving in front of him, clearing his way. IDF tanks and other forces opened fire on both buildings.
Sinwar then went up to the second floor. A tank fired another shell at the building, and an infantry platoon moved up to search. Sinwar threw two grenades, one of which exploded. The soldiers withdrew, and a drone flew in to search the room. It found a man with his arm injured and his face covered — Sinwar — who threw a wooden stick at the drone. Another tank shell was fired at the man, killing him.
On Thursday morning, troops searching the building looked at the face of the slain terrorist whom the drone had spotted, and noticed that he resembled Sinwar. The Shin Bet took DNA and part of his finger to verify his identity. No hostages were with Sinwar at the time.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari confirmed in a Thursday night press conference that the military “identified him as a terrorist in a building” and did not know it was Sinwar. “We fired on the building and went in to search. We found him with a flak jacket and a gun and NIS 40,000.” … Sinwar reportedly recently renewed contact with mediators for a potential hostage-ceasefire deal after weeks of silence that had stirred speculation he might have been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza.
The military published a video taken by the drone as well as video and pictures taken after Sinwar was found dead.
The drone footage confirms the description above. Its publication is highly significant:

For a year, Israel has portrayed Sinwar as a coward hiding in tunnels surrounded by hostages. And they will continue to portray him that way. But the details of his death they’ve released will solidify his image as fighting Israel to the end.

The Israeli genocidal psychopaths broadcasted the final moments of martyr al-Sinwar's life, hoping to undermine the morale of those who support the resistance. Who was the fool that advised them to do so?
His back to the camera, wearing a keffiyeh, he throws a stick—like a modern-day Hanzala. Wounded, alone, battered, yet fighting to his last breath. Just like Palestine.
This very footage turned al-Sinwar into a new Palestinian icon, filling our hearts with nothing but pride and dignity.

"The greatest gift the enemy can give me is to assassinate me. I submit myself to martyrdom for God at his hands. I'm 59 years old, and I much prefer to be martyred by an F-16 or by rockets, than die of corona or a heart attack…I prefer to die a martyr" -Yahya Sinwar in 2021 video

This was my [Sinwar] interview w @lalarian. It's his last ever on-camera interview. Everyone told us he was in hiding as it was just days after an assassination attempt during 11 days of Israeli bombardment in 2021. We found him walking down a street, so we stopped him & asked for an intv video

I’m old enough to remember the Israelis’ killing spree of 2003-04 when they murdered Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Abdel-Aziz Rantisi, Ismail Abushanab & numerous other top leaders of #Hamas… & they imagined they had thereby “solved” the problem of Palestinian resistance to their brutal colonial rule…

🔴IMPORTANT🔴 Looks like a new phase will be starting soon in Lebanon.
“Based on the directives of the resistance leadership, the Islamic Resistance Operations Room announces the transition to a new & escalating phase in the confrontation with the Israeli enemy, which will be discussed in the events of the coming days.”
RIP Yahya Sinwar
Reposted from Palestine thread:
Was researching the details re the US B2 strikes on Ansar Allah, and came across this, a reasonable summary of events with embedded links, worth reading:
US long-range B-2 stealth bombers target underground bunkers of Yemen’s Houthi rebels
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The U.S. military unleashed B-2 stealth bombers to target underground bunkers used by Yemen’s Houthi rebels early Thursday, a major escalation in the American response to the rebels’ attacks on Mideast shipping lanes that appeared to be a warning to Iran as well.
While it wasn’t immediately clear how much damage the strikes caused, the attack appeared to be the first use of the B-2 in combat in years and the first time the flying wing targeted sites in Yemen.
In announcing the strikes against the Houthis, who have been attacking ships for months in the Red Sea corridor over the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made a point to offer a warning likely heard in Tehran as well.
“This was a unique demonstration of the United States’ ability to target facilities that our adversaries seek to keep out of reach, no matter how deeply buried underground, hardened or fortified,” Austin said.
Iran, the Houthis’ main benefactor, has targeted Israel with ballistic missile attacks twice over the past year. The B-2 would be used in any American attack on hardened Iranian nuclear facilities like Natanz or Fordo given it is the only aircraft in service that can drop the GBU-57, known as the “Massive Ordnance Penetrator.”
…
The GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is a precision-guided, 30,000-pound (14,000 kg) “bunker buster” bomb used by the United States Air Force.[2] It is substantially larger than the deepest-penetrating bunker busters previously available, the 5,000-pound (2,300 kg) GBU-28 and GBU-37. Due to its size (6 meters length and a weight of over 12 tonnes) it can only be carried by large bombers—for instance, the B-2 Spirit
The aircraft are based at Whiteman Air Base in Missouri and typically conduct long-range strikes from there, though some B-2s were in Australia in September .
Which led to just published in AU, by their ABC, this:
(Australian) Northern Territory air base used as staging ground for US strike on Houthi weapon stores (RAAF base Tindall)
The Department of Defence has confirmed Australia provided support for the US strikes on underground bunkers used by Yemen’s Houthi rebels “through access and overflight for US aircraft in northern Australia”.
The US said its strikes were ordered by President Joe Biden to degrade the Houthi weapons stores and send a message to “our adversaries”, which includes Iran.
An Australian official said the support was “consistent with our long-standing alliance commitment and close cooperation, demonstrating the interoperability of our militaries”.
…
The newspaper reported on Friday that the B-2 is the only warplane that can carry the largest class of specially built bombs that can punch through soil, rock or concrete before detonating.
It is not known whether the bombs, known as GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators or MOPs, were used in the mission.
So:
(1) Israel does not have the aerial practical capability/capacity to drop GBU-28/37 MOPs (2300Kg/5000Kg), nor prototype, not yet certified in US Service, GBU-57A/Bs MOPs(14,000Kg) in practice re(2), especially in timed sequenced precision drops, total 85,000Kg.
(2) It is known that a timed precise sequence of ~16-18 alternating probable GBU-10(MK84 PavewayII blast effect(972Kg)) bombs, & at least GBU-37 MOPs, though quite likely, prototype GBU-57A/Bs, ~85,000Kg worth, were used to assassinate Nasrallah & Hezbollah leadership in Sth Beirut suburbs (Haddiyeh(?). Followed by a duplicate further decapitation strike days later re Hezbollah.
(3) This requires strategic bombers which Israel does NOT posses. US does, both the bombers & unique ordnance & capability, as demonstrated re Yemen/Ansar Allah. Open Source B2 spec is lowball 18,144Kg up to 22680Kg, therefore 4, at most 5 B2, in a flight, required to execute the ops, plus, necessity of, stealth CAP escorts.
(4) Therefore the Hezbollah decapitation strikes in Beirut, and mass non-combatant resultant causalities were a direct consequence of US direct belligerence alongside/in support of Israel.
(5) As per the AP article, one or all three strikes were prepped & launched from RAAF Tindal Australia, most likely for OpSec, plausible-deniability purposes, re US direct involvement & the Stealth B2s.
(6) Therefore, AU is no longer an indirect belligerent, re Pine Gap(ISR & drone Targeting), but re the B2s, a direct belligerent.
(7) US & AU exposed as direct belligerents in War Crimes, Illegal acts of undeclared aggressive war, war crimes, and co-participants in support of Israels ‘greater Israel’ Genocide campaign.
(8) Zero doubt that AU is now little more than non-sovereign puppet vassal, a US suborned Military base/bastion as for Diego Garcia or, occupied Germany …
Couped AU Whitlam(Prime Minister/Government)(’75), remorseful Frazer(next PM), & aggrieved conscripted Viet vet/politician Fisher(?) would be turning in their graves …

Al-Sinwar ascended advancing, not retreating, engaging in the front lines and moving between combat positions

Military statement issued by:
..::: Al-Qassam Brigades :::..
O sons of our struggling Palestinian people.. O masses of our Arab and Islamic nation:
Al-Qassam Brigades announces the martyrdom of the great leader/ Yahya Sinwar “Abu Ibrahim”, leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, who ascended, facing and not retreating, in the most honorable battles in defense of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and of our people and their legitimate rights. It is a source of pride for our movement to put leaders before soldiers, and for its leaders to lead the caravan of martyrs of our people who gave their lives and blood for the sake of Allah and on the path to liberating Palestine, and for its leader to be mar tyred among his struggling brothers, a hero engaged in combat with the invaders who thought that Gaza could be an easy prey for their cowardly army.
The journey of our leader, Abu Ibrahim, was an honorable jihadist journey, during which he was from the founding generation of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and its military and security apparatuses. Then he sacrificed the flower of his youth as a prisoner in the occupation’s prisons for more than twenty years before he was released with his head held high in the “Wafa al-Ahrar” deal. Once he was released from prison, he insisted on continuing the journey of jihad and did not taste rest. He supervised the movement’s military work in the three regions and had an important role in the path of unifying the resistance fronts on the road to Jerusalem. Then he headed the movement in Gaza, so that his leadership period constituted a qualitative shift in its advocacy, political and military journey that culminat ed in “Al-Aqsa Flood,” and in the path of national relations and joint resistance work, before heading the movement at home and abroad following the martyrdom of the great leader Ismail Haniyeh.
When the resistance factions, with Hamas at their core, decided to enter this great and decisive battle in the history of the Palestinian people’s struggle and in the course of our nation, they knew that the price of liberation was very high and had been paid by all peoples before they were liberated from their occupiers. They were prepared to lead the ranks of the sacrificing people at the heart of their people, so they presented leaders and soldiers, refusing to submit to the enemy or remain silent about its injustice and plundering of our people’s legitimate rights. Our jihad will not stop until Palestine is liberated, the last Zionist is expelled from it, and all our legitimate rights are restored. The best evidence of this is that our people did not break or surrender a year after the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, despite the enormous price they paid and despite the brutal Zionist crimes of genocide.
This criminal enemy is delusional if he thinks that by assassinating the great leaders of the resistance such as Sinwar, Haniyeh, Nasrallah, Al-Arouri and others, he can extinguish the flame of the resistance or force it to retreat. Rather, it will continue and escalate until the legitimate goals of our people are achieved. Martyrdom is the highest desire of our leaders, and their blood will be a beacon that lights the path to liberation and a fire that burns the aggressors. Our leaders have left behind hundreds of thousands of mujahideen from our people and our nation who are determined to confront the Zionist occupation until Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque are cleansed of its filth and swept from our land, God willing.
It is a jihad of victory or martyrdom…

We congratulate the Islamic and Arab nation in general and the Hamas movement in particular on this great martyrdom and extend our deepest condolences to his honorable family.
The martyrdom of this great leader and his pure, noble blood will be the fuel that the Zionists will burn in its fire and will increase the determination and resolve of the Mujahideen in Palestine.
– The Popular Front: We mourn the national leader Yahya Sinwar, the architect of the Al-Aqsa Flood epic and one of the most prominent symbols of the Palestinian struggle
