Assuming the dropped boosters for the IDF missiles near Salah Aldeen and Samarra are real, then a scenario seems clear.
They fly out of israel and exhaust their 2 x 600 gallon tanks to reach that point, aprox 800 km flight, and head back on internal and conformal tanks, refueling assets are for contingency only.
They launch air to ground ballistic missiles with booster stages. These pre-boosted rocks or sparrows or loras can hit 800 km away . Found very little on effective range of those air launched variants (some are said to hit 1500-2000 km away but the fact is they launched from far into iraq, not from israel or jordan so maybe these ranges are without a warhead).
Assuming not everything is pure propaganda, it seems some of the (second?) wave missiles had HARM like warheads and were sent against the radars that lit up targeting the previous wave.
Iran should propose to iraq a shared AD base in Tikrit…

The linked article – “How Israel is Preparing for a Long Regional War” – indicates Israel is shifting to the expectation of a long attrition war lasting at least another four years. Leaving aside the questionable premise this is at all sustainable, simply becoming part of the internal conversation is a clear admission Israel’s military operations to date, despite the wholesale destruction of Gaza and areas of Lebanon, has achieved nothing and could, based on the quantitative capabilities of its opponents, be said to be losing rather than in a stalemate.
It seems the “ceasefire” discussions, to which Hamas presented exactly the same consistent negotiating position it has articulated since May, is otherwise focussed on a very limited (2 day) ceasefire followed by a hostage/prisoner exchange. Israel appears to be trying to line up what it could present to its public as “wins”: hostages, attack on Iran, declaration of achieving military goals in Gaza and south Lebanon. Shaping perceptions or narratives don’t have to be “actual”.
Hezbollah may go on an offensive if Israel calls halt to Lebanon incursion, but rather than north Israel it may be focussed on Shebaa Farms and/or Golan. Success at either location, i.e. forcing Israel withdrawal, would be a severe psychological blow and be consistent with UN resolutions.

They have them, acknowledge they have them, and have done tests declaring the upcoming seismic disruptions to prove they have them, and have dedicated and public wings of their militaries devoted to their deployment, storage, and training in the use of them.
