Been watching and reading Blinken’s “tour”, the latest in DOHA.
Statements like: “we are discussing comprehensive ceasefire proposals that are very encouraging, we still **haven’t had a response from Hamas regarding their participation***, nevertheless…”
Useless, worthless.
Be more useful if Blinken stated exactly what this tour is for.
Since DOHAs contribution of 1.2 billion since start of conflict was mentioned compared to US recent 135 million, guessing it was a hat out shake down for $$. Yes, they still want their Arab “peacekeeping force” to go in and clear out Gaza for them, but in the meantime… elections, give us your
money, have US bribes to pay out to turn votes….give us money, that’s all I’m here for.

Great summary AB, I needed a morning pick-me-up with my coffee.
Israels biggest win will be the Palestinian Holocaust in depopulating Palestinians, but wars of liberation have always resulted in the greatest sacrifices from the oppressed populations. eg Vietnam, Algeria.
Many of the other points in the Resistances’ favour, may not be so important, as they can be quickly erased & forgotten and papered over by the Western propaganda & money-printing machinery.
But even without Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank, who is going to want to live there? I can’t see millions of Jewish people in the diaspora going to suddenly flood in to settle. Even after 48, in the 50s, 60s etc many Jewish populations had to be forced, coerced, offerred insane incentives and/or propagandised into relocation.
I recently saw an old 1920s song on YT, popular in the Balkans, eastern Europe, southern Russia etc about “foolish Zionists” who were seeking poor working-class Jews to move to Palestine to work in the factories & steelworks etc. The song mainly promoted their own working-class struggles in their own countries & homelands and mocking the Zionist “vision”.
Even today, most of Israels shit-work is done by imported contract labour from Thailand, India etc. They have never trusted the indigenous Arabs to do it, and will have even more trouble attracting Jews to do it. I also hear that there is a growing doctor shortage in the cities, as the educated, professional middle-class are leaving Israel. Who wants to live in a country where even just occasional Arabs infiltrate, set off car-bombs or shooting sprees etc ?? As they will. The Resistance will never die out, no matter how many you erase, or how much history you rewrite, or how much money you spend, or land & resources you steal, or how many puppet regimes you install in the neighbours. It isnt the 1950s/60s anymore, when Europe was still in turmoil from WW2, and after all this time, many in the Jewish diaspora are mostly comfy enough where they are.
