Stupid low-information commenters think that killing Sinwar means that fake ceasefire talks are back on the menu.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Bibi is a maximalist who intends to see this war through to the end – even if it means the US gets sucked into a war with Iran. He won’t stop ’til he’s had enough.

Reports are that Israel is requesting a second THAAD battery.
From a purely military view it makes more sende, since one battery only seems a mere pinprick. However, was the first one sent merely a trial baloon? To assessor response from others?
What I read is that it is kikely this request will be granted.
Is this the start of a widening involvement from the USA?

I fear that they might try to kill the supreme leader in Iran. They are this demented. Which is why they ask for Uncle Sam to bring more and more air defense systems. Don’t believe the bullshit with IRGC targets or anything that US is spitting in their garbage media.

If you stand back and look at it. The military is/never has wanted an engagement with Iran.

Anyways, saying, guessing military told Trump straight up, you’re gonna eat crow & suck up a counter strike. And that was with all the hardcore in charge, Bolton, Pompeo, Niki Haley, Lindsay Graham and a bought and paid for Adelson stooge man. With no Ukraine or nothing, and military wasn’t having it.
Now, a weaker, almost out of weapons, none of the hard-hard core idiots actually holding powerful offices, Russia and Iran in “alliance”, and everyone making sure Israel (meaning a designated cult assassin/terror groups) doesn’t do their black ops shit cause I guarantee, the military will do little other than show to “defend” Israel.
No, US would see its hand burned off, Israel destroyed, then risk the annihilation of their bases and their “allies” turn away. look at the moves in Jordan, Egypt population to follow.
The USReal wants what it wants, Lebanon, Palestinians subdued, ME domination. But will only risk a certain degree. Like Israel, their ability to BS, is getting frayed. Just like Ukraine, their impotence is being called out.
Right now, I am certain they are begging Iran to let Netanyahu have “the last word” and let it go. We’ll see Irans answer if Israel does anything or not.
Perhaps USReal is feeling “mighty” these days. I just kinda doubt it.
The increased snapping and anger from WH and WH press these days is showing their frustration. They just don’t seem to be able to bomb, threaten, coerce, bribe, or manipulate their way to subjugation and peace with anyone. Not Russia, not Hamas, not Hezbollah, not Iran…
It’s a frustrating thing for an imperial power who is told: No.
Will they destroy themselves trying to “get their way”? Possibly.
But I’m afraid the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader would probably by-pass the ME and bring the submarines and missiles right to the mainland of US. Twould be very unwise indeed.
In any event, I see no war with Iran. Just the continuation of slaughter & genocide for as long as the border nation states allow it.

I just try to keep what is occuring in Gaza visible, I have no idea what other sites like X or MSM or TV are reporting nowadays, I find those tend to confuse or wrap in other themes and are distracting.
In Gaza where we seem to be at is attempted forceful clearing of the north after residents refused to evacuate to south. Jabalia being a stronghold seems to be first. They advance with quadcopters, air support and tanks firing on all, demolish buildings with explosives as they move along, siege local quarters and order evacuation under fire. Communications are down, hospitals incapable of handling number of casualties, under siege at times, supplies of food very limited. It is something like what has been occuring over the last months except now there is no pretense to target resistance and the aim seems to be to depopulate and destroy remaining infrastructure.
We had several months of all various international organisations making exclamations, even those seem to have gone quiet now.
This is how it comes across, I’m not there obviously, but from all the local reporting that is making its way out. These are different original sources though they share items also, and the mood from all is the same now, a sense of quiet despair for the local civilian population. After what they have already seen and been put through, I think it must have become extremely tense and dangerous there for all to have their spirit affected so.
Anyway, when I read like the following which is from just now, I feel obliged to forward it because I don’t know if anyone else anywhere is actually paying attention otherwise.
We really have no idea how many are being, or will be, massacred at present.

In recent days, the northern Gaza Strip has witnessed a massive wave of displacement, as thousands of people were forced to leave their homes due to the intense and continuous bombing. These displaced people gathered in an area of no more than 2 square kilometers in the Beit Lahia project and its surroundings. Most of these residents slept on the ground and took cover under the sky, in a painful scene that reflects the extent of the suffering they are experiencing. The streets were crowded with families and children who found temporary shelter in the rubble of destroyed homes, where they sleep in the open or under the remaining roofs of homes targeted by the raids.
In these harsh conditions, displaced families face severe shortages of water, food and health care, while the bombing continues and increases their suffering. In light of these conditions, daily life seems impossible, as neighborhoods have lost their features, homes have turned into rubble, and there is no longer a safe haven or place to protect children, women and the elderly.
This humanitarian tragedy requires an urgent response from the international community to stop the aggression and provide the necessary assistance to the displaced who live at the mercy of the sky in tragic conditions that are unbearable for humans.

A THAAD battery had been deployed to Israel in 2019, but only stayed for a short time. Likely as a test run to work out any issues if the US decided to deploy one in a hurry at some point the future.
A THAAD battery comes with about 72 missiles. Iran was firing ballistic missiles at Israel in about batches of 200. This is likely due to the number of launchers Iran has. The number I’d seen tossed around is that Iran has about 1,000 ballistic missiles left with the range to fire at Israel. Though lately that number has been re-looked at and has shrunk some. 800 left? But building more.
