Hizbullah, Iran Put More Pressure On Israel

Two weeks ago, after successful Zionist attacks on Hizbullah's leadership, I asserted that Hizbullah would be back:

However, Israel can not kill its way to peace.

Hizbullah is a social movement deeply ingrained into the people and society of Lebanon.

Hizbullah has a social society side which takes care for and aliments large parts of its constituency.

It also has a military side which is very well organized, disciplined and which has many hidden assets ready to be activated when needed. Following the Shia creed Hizbullah's soldiers are ready and willing to die for their cause.

In 1982 Israel assassinated Hizbullah chief Musawi. His replacement, Hassan Nasrallah, proved to be the more formidable enemy who organized resistance movements that span the whole region. Anyone following Nasrallah will also be younger, less risk avers and a more formidable enemy.

The same holds for the replacements of lower level casualties.

The Zionist colonist will rue the consequences of their deeds.

Today Hizbullah's operation room warned the Zionists in Haifa to empty the city:

Ali Hashem @alihashem_tv - 9:44 UTC · Oct 12, 2024

Hezbollah’s operations room statement, warning residents of Haifa and several other northern cities up to Tiberias to evacuate homes near military installations, signals an expansion of the displacement zone for Israel from 5 km to over 30 km.

This could force Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to evacuate at least 250,000 people, rather than the initial 100,000. While predicting new rules of engagement is difficult, this could create a new dynamic, where more attacks on Beirut’s southern suburbs triggers more Hezbollah rocket strikes deep into northern Israel.
...
Nearly three weeks after the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, the party has absorbed the blow and elevated its operations to a new level. Its leadership has gone unseen, likely utilizing alternative communication methods that have enabled a seamless transition. Despite the loss, Hezbollah continues to launch attacks and maintain supply lines to the front, allowing for further escalation, all while seeking a diplomatic solution to the conflict through the Speaker of Parliament.

Sina Toossi @SinaToossi - 15:37 UTC · Oct 12, 2024

🧵Hezbollah has intensified rocket and missile strikes on northern Israel over the past week.

Today, it called for civilians to evacuate Haifa, Tiberias, & other areas, claiming that Israeli military operations in residential zones make them legitimate targets.

2/ Significantly, Hezbollah’s statement also said, "Northern occupied Palestine will remain empty of settlers until the war against Gaza and Lebanon ends."

This reflects its original position of rejecting a ceasefire with Israel that is not linked to ending the Gaza war.
...
8/ The head of Hezbollah's media office Mohammad Afif also asserted today:

"To the enemy, I say: You have only seen a fraction of our strikes.
"On the ground, especially on the southern front, the resistance is in good shape.
"It manages its firing fields and the timing of its volleys in accordance with its field assessment and the objective conditions.
"Its strategic reserves are intact.
"Thousands of Karbala-inspired martyrdom fighters are in peak readiness and fully prepared to fight fiercely in revenge for our sacred martyr.
"...The resistance will not engage in static defense but rather a flexible defense that adapts to the requirements of the front and the conditions of each area.
"It will set ambushes, plant explosives, carry out flanking maneuvers, and shift flexibly from defense to offense, inflicting heavy losses, which the enemy has begun to acknowledge gradually, forcing them repeatedly to retreat and reassess the front, contrary to their calculations and estimates.
"...We are not in 1982 when Israeli tanks reached Beirut, altering the political equations and tearing the social fabric of Lebanon. We are more in the early days of the July War, when the same people rushed to declare Hezbollah’s defeat, only to later realize their mistake and return to their senses by the end of the war, with Hezbollah emerging victorious.
"Our absolute priority now is to defeat the enemy and force it to cease its aggression by force."

That is part of the recent news from which Elijah Magnier, who knows Hizbullah better than any other western journalist, concludes:

I am beginning to think that #Israel is reluctant to invade #Lebanon.

Hezbollah has lost 80% of the first line of command, the operations room and the secretary general, yet it has managed to regain control beautifully. No army in the world can withstand the first blow.

Now Hezbollah has regained control, it has replenished its positions, its logistics are in top condition, it has prevented four divisions from entering Lebanon, it has absorbed the displaced persons, it has discovered the source of the leakage, and it is threatening to force more Israeli displaced persons. With every day that passes, Hezbollah shows that it has regained its professionalism in directing the war and taking the initiative.

The Zionists are reluctant to go further than a few meter into Lebanon because their ground forces are taking high losses. A full ground attack would be extremely costly.

The Zionist entity is also reluctant to attack Iran. Its security cabinet could not agree on an appropriate way to hit back for Iran's recent missile attack with some 180 ballistic missiles. That attack did real damage on two military air ports. It also hit other strategic assets.

Last night the Islamic Republic Iran Boradcasting [IRIB] organization announced:

iranmilitaryvlog @irmilitaryvlog - 9:06 UTC · Oct 12, 2024

IRIB yesterday revealed that Iran's armed forces managed to knock out a transportable Raytheon long-range, very high-altitude X-band radar positioned near the 'Nevatim' airbase belonging to the THAAD system without detection before raining down ballistic missiles on their target.

Quote: H. E. Mehr | حمید ابراهیمی مهر @Hemehr ... Embedded video

The THAAD AN/TPY-2 transportable radar directs high attitude missile defenses. There is, as far as is known, only one  in Israel. such a radar system, if bought now, costs about $300 million. The one in the Negev desert is under U.S. control.

If, as IRIB claims, that radar was indeed hit, the strike has blown a huge hole into Israel's missile defenses. This would explain the reluctance in the security cabinet to go for on all out attack on Iran. Any Iranian response, which would come as assured as tomorrows sun rise, would hit Israel extremely hard.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

There have been couple of missile attacks on altanf. The coalition of several airforces regularly patrols the area and attacking who they call militants.

US Extends Military Presence in Syria to Safeguard Israeli Interests

The United States has officially extended its state of emergency in Syria, maintaining its military presence across illegal bases in the eastern Euphrates region and at Al-Tanf, located at the border triangle with Iraq and Jordan. This decision, announced by the White House, indicates no connection between its planned withdrawal from Iraq by 2026 and its ongoing military operations in Syria. The state of emergency, originally declared in 2003, has evolved through various amendments, with the latest being linked to the threat posed by the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon.

The White House described the security developments in Syria as a significant threat to US national security and foreign policy, necessitating the continuation of the emergency for another year. The administration asserts that the situation in Syria undermines efforts to combat ISIS, jeopardizes civilian safety, and threatens regional stability.

Since its military presence in Syria began, the US has used the pretext of combating terrorism to justify its operations, which include seizing control of oil resources in Kurdish-led areas and enhancing reconnaissance capabilities to support "Israel". The Al-Tanf base plays a crucial role in monitoring Syrian territory and disrupting resistance supply routes between Tehran, Baghdad, and Beirut.

As tensions rise following resistance operations against US military bases post-October 7, the US has attempted to reassure Kurdish forces that its presence in Syria is independent of developments in Iraq. Despite assurances, Kurdish sources, as reported by Al-Akhbar, express concerns that US withdrawal from Iraq could signal a change in its commitment to the Kurdish "self-administration" project, particularly in light of the recent Syrian-Turkish rapprochement supported by Russia and Iran.

Additionally, while the US maintains that its military presence aids in the fight against ISIS, there are allegations of US support for the organization, particularly from the Al-Tanf base, which serves as a strategic gateway to areas where ISIS operates. Recent reports indicate a decrease in ISIS activity following a joint Syrian-Russian campaign targeting its cells, including four sites near the American base.

I dont think it will be one single person until this episode is complete. They probably broke it up in to a mesh network where individual leaders control a node. They probably use runners between nodes although they could use directed radio signals as well. Beaming RF from node to node. That is harder to intercept.

The Zios still have not done the usual strike for strike after the first volley from Iran. Now its their turn to be do nothing blowhards for a while.

They cannot use regional bases to strike Iran nor can the US. it appears all they have is Diego Garcia to run operations from and nothing has happened as of yet. Maybe after the election. who knows?

If the last year of genocide has shown us anything it is that there is no international law. Israel has to be reigned in forcibly by the entire ME itself. Hezbollah, Ansarallah and Iran are in the vanguard of this noble effort. The peoples of Jordan, and the gulf states seek to and must find a way to join this historic fight. Turkey needs to put down the weapon of criticism and begin a criticism by weapons. The Zionazis will not be satisfied by erasing Gaza from the earth. That's just an appetizer to these ghouls. Fight today or become the next Gaza. That applies with equal force to the international working class. Gaza is a dangerous precedent which, if not haulted and severely punished now, will be repeated anywhere Imperialism sees fit.

My fears is that Hezbollah will not be effective in its aims but will rather further spur Israel to "defend" itself by turning Gaza's rubble into further rubble, whilst millions still remain besieged there. And that the US administration and the complicit MSM will use this as yet another excuse to obfuscate and/or simply omit the high and ever growing probability that Israel has already killed a hundred thousand civilians in Gaza.

"If, as IRIB claims, that radar was indeed hit, the strike has blown a huge hole into Israel's missile defenses."

When I see statements like this, my inner armchair general wonders whether Iran should just go ahead and blast Israel again without waiting for another provocation. The restraint Iran has shown up to now has not won it any brownie points from the Collective West, after all.

It's just that I wonder whether it's necessary for Iran to be a punching bag before it takes any action. By now, I think it's clear that Israel is only waiting for an opportunity to land the first punch, so why make it easy for them.

Like I say, it's arm chair general stuff...

US bases in Syria are completely illegal under international law.

The sovereign Syrian government has demanded on numerous occasions that the bases be removed, just like the Iraqi bases.

They have not been removed.

The US government is in breach of international law. These bases were set up to assist the FSA and the IDF, the ISIS farce is an excuse, and the Kurds need to make a deal with someone, we cant fly cover for them forever......WTH.

Remember that DJT wanted and ordered the Syrian bases closed, but the order was not carried out by General Red Milley, who instead deep sixed it and then "convinced" DJT to modify it.....(Milley is a deep state neo con traitor operative who is now working for the bad guys in DC).

Get out before the house falls down....and that could happen at any moment....

Israel is no longer on a leash... & hasn't been for 30 years, but since 1948 has never been punished for anything - Israel is the 'Spoiled Child' of America now grown up, totally irresponsible & able to destroy it's parent. The reputation of the US has already been terminally affected, it's citizens sidelined & it's infrastructure ignored for decades. Financially in a straight-jacket, the US has few options left!
Anything is now possible... & seeing Smotrich's new/old plans for a "Greater Israel" (inc Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi + Lebanon) the region better get their fingers out... & smartish.
It's possible Netanyahu will hit Iran around BRICS & before 5th Nov... Who will stop him?
What he hits Iran with will determine the escalation-escalator & potential survive-ability or not of Human Civilization.
Until the UN 'gets a grip' &/or US 'grows a set' the world will never be safe.
Until Israel is denuclearized Iran will be threatened by annihilation... so getting Nukes out of the hands of these completely demented sadistic & bloodthirsty Zionists has to be a priority for mankind if there is to be a future!
News is reaching around the Globe about Gaza... Even MSM is having to "man-up" a bit. There is Hope... Not much else!

Given the history of the Israeli invasion of Palestine it is easy to believe that the July 19 ruling by the International Court of Justice, which rules that Israel’s continued presence in the occupied Palestinian territory is unlawful and should end, will be ignored.

Any (massive) attack by Israel on Iran could not be conducted without US military support which has been essential. Iran knows that and the US expects a massive retaliation on its military assets. The attack on Israeli military sites demonstrated the high effectiveness of Iran's missiles on distant targets. Those missiles traversed hostile countries (Jordan) fully embedded in the US hegemony (I would even call them colonies). In Qatar, Iraq, KSA and the Emirates those bases being in very close proximity to Iran are completely vulnerable. And unlike Libya which was quite isolated geographically, Iran would enjoy unhindered military support from Russia.

Posted by: xor | Oct 12 2024 18:03 utc | 15

@expat

why would Iran launch another attack? Iran doesn't want war and only reacts to attacks by Israel and if Iran's attack was successful, everything is fine. Israel has been waiting a surprisingly long time. Why ? either they don't dare or they are preparing for Armageddon. What is the reason?????

Posted by: Tom | Oct 12 2024 18:10 utc | 16

All of the info in the original post may be true. It does indeed seem to me plausible at least, and more likely true than not. Perhaps it is my western mindset that doesn't understand why the resistance, if it does indeed have the capability to take out the airfields, does not do that to end the civilian slaughter as soon as possible?

Not just money. Everything in the US from presidents and congress to hollywood, media and the music industry are involved with jews and israel in more ways than money. IMO, Wolff and Hudson's description of the Outlaw US Empire/Zionist relationship is that of a contractor to its agent. Again, I strenuously suggest watching or reading the transcript to the latest Hudson/Wolff/Nima discussion where Dr. Wolff provides the agent metaphor about 2/3s through the program. But you'll need to watch the opening segment for the context he refers to. At the link use ctrl-f with agent as the word to discover and you'll be directed to that portion where its discussed.

As for Hezbollah's abilities, the Zionists are tangling with dragons encased within mountains that was a huge mistake to disturb, and the second year to the next occasion of 7 October 2025 will be marked by continuing attrition and tightening of the siege laid onto the Zionists. The aerial documentation of many Zionist military facilities within Haifa's residential matrix was clear for all who have seen that video, thus the very non-Zionist warning to civilians. When Haifa gets neutralized, the Zionist economy will become very fragile; and when the last of the ports cease operations, it will break. And that ought to happen this Winter.

For those of us still enamored with the idea of an international system that will be able to try criminals and render judgement, I think they are indeed deluded.

For those that would presume to have the power to render judgement, what kind of arrogance would that entail, what kind of delusion?

The one that could carry the ring in Tolkien's world was even then ultimately killed by it.

We should not presume that anyone can level justice fairly, like the blindfolded lady. Rather, our backs should raise up every time we hear the idea of an international court, for it immediately reminds me of the rules-based order, the U.N., the Nuremberg trials, and the list goes on.

The ring needs to be destroyed.

The ability and righteousness of judgment belong to the one entity with omniscience and omnipotence. Anyone less could not produce the necessary and holistic result. Only a being that can weigh hearts and minds can produce a truly just verdict.

Perhaps the bad guys are worse than we imagined, or maybe they have mitigating circumstances. No human can ever truly know.

All of these man-made laws and rulings are tiresome IMO. If the ICC or ICJ had the power to enforce their conclusions, other institutions would seek to subvert or destroy them.

The ONE RING drives everyone into a frenzy to possess it. No one will allow power such as that to exist independently of influence. By its existence, it creates the need for its destruction.

Have you gone hoarse from protesting all of the laws being broken?

No one cares about laws without an enforcement mechanism.

IMO, it's not even worthy of discussion to talk about laws when the "bad guy" doesn't follow laws. It's the old gun control argument. The people who would use guns for ill, won't follow gun laws anyways, so what good are those laws in the first place?

15 Israeli Soldiers, Tanks and Personnel Carriers – Resistance Roundup – Day 372

…,Since Israel renewed its attacks on the Jabaliya refugee camp, a week ago, Palestinian Resistance, especially in northern Gaza, began escalating their attacks as well.

The latest such operation took place west of the Jabaliya camp today where the Resistance targeted 15 Israeli soldiers using a ‘Thaqib’ barrel bomb.

In a statement communicated through their Telegram channel, Al-Qassam Brigades said that its fighters detonated a highly explosive device aimed at a “Zionist infantry of 15 soldiers who were trying to storm a house, killing and wounding its members” near the Itisalat Junction, west of Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam also published a video showing the detonation of a booby-trapped tunnel shaft against an Israeli engineering force in the Rayyan area, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam and Al-Quds Brigades also reported that they had successfully targeted several Israeli tanks and personnel carriers in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

Below are the latest statements by the two main Resistance forces in Gaza, and the Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah. ….

https://www.palestinechronicle.com/15-israeli-soldiers-tanks-and-personnel-carriers-resistance-roundup-day-372/

Comment:
Southern Front - IDF armor getting thrashed. Suspect the IDF armor has been abandoned by infantry. Video of booby trapped tunnel with clueless IDF ‘elite’ milling about.
Eastern Front - radio silence
Northern Front - long list of strikes on military sites and a couple of weapons factories. Evidently IDF fighters didn’t try to invade

Highly unikely a Truth and Reconciliation format will be applied in Israel/occupied territories. For one, the “truth” has already been meticulously documented. More relevant is the longstanding application by Israel of extreme violence on top of its repressive ethnically focussed control mechanisms. Political violence in South Africa between 1948-94 claimed estimated 21,000 lives. Just this past year Israel has murdered many times that number. Restorative justice would require arrests and trials of Israeli officials under the genocide provisions lodged with the ICJ, but also internationally enforced removal of Israel from occupied territories and probably an enforced disarmament as well. US and allies will surely be agitating against this and seeking to control the aftermath in their (and Israel’s) favour. But their credibility is already ruined.

So it will be a long-term effort which will begin with intensified boycott/divestment/ cultural isolation similar to that enacted against South Africa in 1970s/80s. This is assuming Israel will not be in a position of having been outright “defeated”, but a ceasefire imposed which includes withdrawal of IDF from Gaza. There is barely even a remote possibility, after all that has occurred, that the region will somehow see a process of “normalization”. What is possible is a smaller neutered Israel and retreat of US from region.

Posted by: Tom_Q_Collins | Oct 12 2024 20:37 utc | 61

Consider, outside the moment, & see the forest, not just trees & recall key historical events ...

The Theater AD/ABM carefully though unsuccessfully concealed detection/targeting radar, now confirmed destroyed. Resulting in the First Iranian staggered missile salvo penetrating Israel ADS. As a consequence the Arrow/Davids Sling ADS were suppressed & unknown quantity batteries damaged/destroyed. Iron dome is low on ordnance & regardless, irrelevant in this situ. This is confirmed by footage of the initial salvo striking targets, the Air raid warning siren did not sound until seconds later. The second and third salvos were essentially unopposed & effective on core targets. Expect those priority targets included the AD interceptor ammo bunkers ...

ADS batteries, radars and interceptor missiles are in scarce supply throughout Empire. EU/NATO/Ukraine/SK/Japan. The arsenal is bare and the stacked crates too.

Production capacity is anemic at best and wholly inadequate.

Push comes to shove, anticipate Israel will be abandoned.

Recall in 2001, shortly after Bush the drunked younger was inaugurated, PRC took possession of a critical Elint Bird due air collision/emergency/MayDay landing on restricted classified Hainan Island detained the analysts/operators/crew as illegal immigrants, and billed the US for room & board. Forced to apologize publicly, later recanted, to retrieve service-members. Demanded return of its 'sovereign' property the Elint bird. After the PRC was finished with it then cut it into 1ft cubes, stacked in shipping containers return to US, shipping prepaid by US.

US response, consequences, nil, 23 years ago.

Under Trump, sent a Naval Global drone into Iranian territory, with an Elint Bird follow-on in its radar shadow. Sacrificial sitting ducks. Iran shot the Global hawk down, not cheap, and broadcast they deliberately ensured the supposed concealed Elint Bird was not engaged, as a courtesy.

US response, consequences, nil.

The Empire is naked, exposed, and only has 2 rounds in its six shooter. Empire consistently stands down when it, as opposed to expendable proxies & allies, are in danger and especially so re near & better than near peers are the threat.

Its now coming up on '25, and Israel IS expendable compared to CONUS (no meaningfully extant ADS/ABMs) let alone overseas territories & 800+ indefensible scattered lillypad bases.
Let go of the ingrained propaganda narrative.

Remember the Pueblo re NK ?

Keep in mind Postol drew those conclusions from very fragmented sources as nobody has been able to inspect the damage AND the satellite photo he used could have been doctored.
While I agree with your statement about the greater accuracy of cruise missiles over ballistic missiles, there is great uncertainty about the picture Postol used.
However, a saturation attack by ballistic missiles could still destroy air defense following which cruise missiles would hit targets accurately.

They will be archived here on Bs site including the BDA analysis. Important, 'cause not censored as for Israhell & best resolution imagery available.

An unambiguous Act of War.

Again, US response, consequences, nil.

CEP of 100M ? absolute BS. Iran has its own ISR now, complemented by at least RF & PRC. Supplemented by close in real-time Hezbollah unhindered surveillance drones.

Iran and the resistance should prempetively target western oil infrastructure just like the US did with the Nordstream. When the oil supply is shut down causing massive inflation and the loss of oil revenue exceeds the profit from gained from supplying weapons and bombs to Israel, the bankers will immediately Natanyahu's wars of expansion. The US and Israel only use peace deal to stall. The longer Iran waits buys Israel and the US time to get their war ducks in a row.

There's no evidence THAAD is anything more than an expensive paperweight.

However, on the off chance it's any good, I repeat what I said, almost rhetorically to the Iranians before Operation True Promise:

"Use it, or lose it."

I've been following exile's counts from the very start by comparing them against actual publicly available video sources.

You can easily find the corresponding sources on YouTube if you check the following sources:

- TOI
- HT
- FP

All of which review the footage put out directly from the Al Qassam brigades, which I trust above and beyond any Western source.

Jon Helmer of the electronic intifada does regular analyses of the merkava strikes which go a long way to verifying the merkava strike quality.

Exile seems to expend some effort in checking the merkava was struck with a clear shot.

I've never heard of "Lost Armour", but if it's anything like that last Bellingcat backed outfit that produced such convincing Ukraine war counts but then fell flat, then I wouldn't bother with it.

I think exile's done good due diligence on this and the video evidence supports his work.

I wondered and thought there are currently two valid options that I know of:

b) Even the more despised Reza who prostrated himself with comb-over Nutty.

To Lost Armour - they are Russians: https://lostarmour.info/

Their focus is mostly on the Russian-Urkainian war. With a shitload of destroyed Ukrainian armored vehicles. They don't publish Russian vehicles (they say, that they will after the SMO) excerpt some from the Donbas militias, but since they got integrated into the Russian army, you don't see anymore pictures or videos from that.
Lost Armour publishes also a lot of strike videos (Lancet-drones, FPV-drones and so on..).

"It's just that I wonder whether it's necessary for Iran to be a punching bag before it takes any action. By now, I think it's clear that Israel is only waiting for an opportunity to land the first punch, so why make it easy for them?"

Posted by: expat | Oct 12 2024 17:50 utc | 9
----------------------------------------------------------------

Israel is NOT waiting for an opportunity to land the first punch, not by a long shot. Israel wants Iran to "attack" Israel first so, that they cry to the US, and the world in the UN, that the mean old Iranian's are the aggressors.

The US also doesn't want Israel to attack Iran first, (which they already did with the assassination of Ismail-Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas on 31 July 2024, which Israel justified as "taking out a terrorist").

Before the US goes balls to the walls against IRAN in a war for Israel, they want a rock-solid case that Iran is the aggressor. This is a high stakes international political game, which has the potential to change the international order for many years to come, and in the short run the international economic order.

Further, when launching the barrage of Ballistic Missiles (BMs), ~180-200, some sources ~400 ?

Three salvos, so worst case, ~60 per salvo minimum.

Second & third salvo few if any interceptions due ADS destruction/suppression, as consequence of staggered two phase first salvo, combined with no or few interceptor launches until after initial warhead impacts/alert sirens triggered. Have reviewed many 1st person vids.

So, 1st salvo 60-20%=48, 2nd Salvo 60-10%=54, 3rd Salvo 60-10%=54 therefore ~156 BMs on target, 79 BMs if generously double interception rate 40%/20% (Unrealistic). Things that make you go, hmmm ?

According to Empire, all classified/all censored, barrage was 'ineffective'. BS
