Biden Is Pushing Israel Towards Larger War
After being hit by some 200 Iranian missiles Israel has not yet dared to response to to the strike. It instead has launched new air attacks into the center of Beirut and its southern area known as Dahiyeh (which simply means suburb) with its predominantly Shia population.
Israel seems to have forgotten what attacks on Dahiyeh mean:
Hizbullah asserts that it has established a new deterrence equation: an Israeli attack on the al-Dahieh neighborhood in Beirut will be met with a retaliatory strike on Tel Aviv.
...
According to Hizbullah, the new equation established by Hassan Nasrallah is that any attack on Tel Aviv will be the response to Israeli actions taken in the al-Dahieh district in Beirut.
Hizbullah's new leadership will certainly adhere to that doctrine.
That Hizbullah has not been degraded by Israel's strikes at is leadership could be seen by yesterday's incursion attempts by the Israeli army into south Lebanon. Its special forces was immediately ambushed by Hizbullah forces. Eight of its soldiers were killed and many more wounded. Additional casualties were reported today.
Israel is now tempted to risk an all out war with Iran. There is little chance that such a war would achieve anything but an all out war in the Middle East, a rapid increase in oil prices and a severe hit on the Democratic chances in the ongoing election campaign.
Iran, who's ballistic missiles had no problems in passing Israels air defenses, has threatened an all out attack on Israel's infrastructure - electricity and gas installations as well as harbors - should Israel attempt to take revenge against Iran.
U.S. media still spreading the myth that the Biden administration is trying to hold back Israel.
The Washington Post for example headlines:
Biden works to limit conflict as Mideast edges closer to all-out war
However the piece admits that some views disagree strongly with its headline:
American officials say they are encouraging Israel to respond in a measured way, but U.S. allies in Europe are concerned that Washington is not putting sufficient pressure on the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Our understanding is the Americans are not holding them back,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive military matter.
Further down it comes to the heart of the issue:
Biden has been unwilling to use the most significant source of U.S. leverage — conditioning or suspending military aid to Israel — to try to change the dynamics of the war, as Israel has repeatedly rebuffed U.S. advice and counsel.
Not for one moment has Biden tried to limit Israel's ability to strike on its neighbors. A headline in the Times of Israel even proclaims that Biden is urging Israel to launch a new strike:
Biden: US opposes Israel hitting Iran nuclear sites, response should be ‘proportional’
Speaking to reporters in Washington, Biden urged Israel to respond “proportionally” to the attack. Asked whether he backs a strike on Iranian nuclear sites, Biden responded: “The answer is no.”
Yves at Naked Capitalism correctly notes that:
Biden’s Israel Policy Has Led Us to the Brink of War on Iran
Yves shows that its was U.S. treachery that preceded the Israeli attack on Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah:
We now learn that Nasrallah had agreed to the ceasefire shortly before he was assassinated and Israel or the US was affirmatively duplicitous, as if that comes as a surprise. Antiwar summarizes a CNN interview with the Lebanese foreign minister:
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib has said that Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah agreed to a US and French-proposed 21-day ceasefire with Israel right before Israel killed him.
Habib said the US and France told Lebanon that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also agreed to the ceasefire proposal.
“They told us that Mr. Netanyahu agreed on this, and so we also got the agreement of Hezbollah on that. And, you know what happened since then,” Habib told CNN host Christiane Amanpour.
I would put my bet on the misrepresentation being US doing, to secure agreement from Hezbollah and then hope they could use that to browbeat Israel into what it would contend was a short pause. Recall that the US has presented ceasefire proposals as originating with Israel and later ‘fessed up that they came from Biden.
It was this ceasefire lie by the Biden administration that enabled the Israeli strike which then prompted the moderate Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian to change his course. As I noted yesterday:
Pezeshkian noted rather bitterly that the order by the Israeli Prime Minister Natanyahoo to kill Nasrallah had been given from New York:
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says the international community will not forget that the order for Israel’s terrorist act to assassinate Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was issued from New York.
...
In a message of condolences on Saturday, Pezeshkian said the United States cannot absolve itself of complicity with the Zionists in the terror attack against the Hezbollah chief. The assassination of Nasrallah demonstrated that Pezeshkian's politics of moderation had failed.
After arriving back in Tehran Pezeshkian's tone had changed: ...
In a second point Yves presents evidence that the Iranian attack on Israel has caused significant damage and likely disabled significant parts of Israel's F-35 fighter forces.
She then quotes a Code Pink piece which concludes:
Biden has been out of his depth throughout this crisis, relying on political instincts from an era when acting tough and blindly supporting Israel were politically safe positions for American politicians. Secretary of State Antony Blinken rose to power through the National Security Council and as a Senate staffer, not as a diplomat, riding Biden’s coat-tails into a senior position where he is as out of his depth as his boss.
Meanwhile, pro-Iran militia groups in Iraq warn that, if the U.S. joins in strikes on Iran, they will target U.S. bases in Iraq and the region.
So we are careening toward a catastrophic war with Iran, with no U.S. diplomatic leadership and only Trump and Harris waiting in the wings. As Trita Parsi wrote in Responsible Statecraft, “If U.S. service members find themselves in the line of fire in an expanding Iran-Israel conflict, it will be a direct result of this administration’s failure to use U.S. leverage to pursue America’s most core security interest here — avoiding war.”
The U.S. has many indefensible assets in the Middle East. Its troops in Iraq and Syria are few and in precarious positions. Its bases in the Gulf states have no defense against attacks from Iran and its navel forces in the Middle East lack the ability to refuel the fleet.
Should Israel be allowed to strike Iran the security of all U.S. forces in the Middle East, the energy infrastructure of the whole region and the global oil supplies will be in danger of imminent destruction.
It is hight time for someone to wake the White House up to those facts.

next page »Talking with friends/neighbors/acquaintances, all of them NPR and NYT types, educated elites, the consensus is absolutely nothing happened. Iran's missile strike was a nothing. A matter of no concern. Any who say otherwise are mentally ill.
Once the verdict is registered at NPR no one is going to speak against it. Any staffer who attempts to brief a congressman or senator will quickly need a new job. Any colonel who attempts to inform the general that the matter deserves his attention is retiring early. It i entirely possible that at the Jake Sullivan and Lloyd Austin level they just don't know.
When the Zionists ae driven into the sea it will be a complete surprise. No one could have known. Do not expect Washington to do anything that makes sense. Do note expect Tel Aviv to do anything that makes sense. It is not possible to predict crazy.

Strike for strike should be their policy. They should provide that cover to Lebanon and Syria. Russia should provide cover to Iran and hopefully it is better cover than they provided Syria.
I hear that Iran is updating its nuclear policy in the coming days. I would guess that they are going to announce a strike for strike nuclear policy. The have had nukes for quite a while IMHO.

Military targets
Oil production.
Infustuture (very ambiguous)
Or nucular targets.
The west are in a bind, if they set a precident on any of the above.
Iran beyound doubt will reciprecate. Israel is much smaller than Iran, last time i looked.

Lebanon call for mobilization of its armed forces.
The Lebanese government has reaffirmed commitment to its obligations to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the war in 2006, Prime Minister Najib Mikati told a news conference in Beirut."We are calling for a ceasefire and are ready to send the Lebanese army to the south to protect the border in coordination with the peacekeeping contingents of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon."
He made the statement in the presence of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and the political leader of the Druze community, Walid Jumblat.
Joe’s Hail Mary pass … hoping by downgrading the Islamic Republic of Iran, puppet Zelensky can move forward onto victory in Ukraine … fantasy of an old man … war hawk through and through..
And it should be rememberd that what ever bully boy america throws at Iran it will be little israel that will pay the price in recipricated damage from Iran.
Lets call that being mortal.
Thats a good thing.

Yes Israel will strike civilian or medical infrastructure. For 2 reasons. 1) Less AD than military or government targets. 2) Killing civilians is literally their MO for provoking an all out war that by necessity to them involves the US military.
Also the US military should probably be on high alert. False flags seem to accompany Zionist wars and war plans

How many US servicemen are in the line of fire in the Middle East? 50,000? How many losses did America suffer during a decade of war in Vietnam? 58,000 KIA. That triggered a national trauma which lasted the rest of the century.
It will be interesting to see how America and the Woke West handle the kinds of losses Iran can inflict on the US military. We're talking about people who couldn't even handle Tweedle Dum(Trump) winning the election.

B, do you really really think ANY politician in USA has ANY leverage on Occupied Palestine?
The USA politicians are zionists' puppets, they don't care of the american voters, american citizens, american soldiers even less (they considee them mercenaries in their imperial wars), they care only for the $$$ they can have from the zionist lobby and billionaires and the way the MSM will treat them (the US MSM are all in the hands of zionism)
The USAF, the US Army and the US Navy will do what Occupied Palestine ordered them to do, regardless of any damage made to the soldiers, or in general, the citizens of USA.
It is crystal clear that it is USA which is a vassal state of Occupied Palestine, not viceversa.

All western merdias are claiming the same "mostly" failure of Iran. And of course they never say that the targets were military ones.
In the meantime it looks like Putin advised the Russian citizens to leave Israel. How many are they? 1.5 millions?!
Good, they will be able to be engaged in the SMO.

No one should be surprised by these outlaw actions from the Bibi and the War Cabinet and the IDF, they have been committing genocide in the Gaza strip for one year, and all over Palestine since 1948.
Bibi's main goal now is to get the US into a hot war with Iran, so the IDF does not have to do the heavy lifting, American GI's dead instead of IDF troopers, and the plan is working thanks to a senile, demented Joe Biden, and moronic VP Kamyhoe Harris.

The missile attack is a paradigm shift.
We have seen a significant upgrade in military capability here - from an enemy that does not burn fields but hits for effect.
Israel has been led down a path of complacency and arrogance and ideology, could even be considered reverse deterrence. After so many years of patient buildup and restraint Israel, both IDF and society, aren't taking their enemies seriously enough.
You wonder if there are any strategic thinkers left in Israel. Israel wastes the decapitation strike, opens multiple fronts willingly, loses it's main ally and the whole world. They will retailiate and play the victim card once too often. How do you look at a map with fixed ports, refineries, desalination and water management, powerplants, transformer stations and expect to survive the next missile strike? With what Iran did the other night, a different choice of targets with the same success rate would put them back in the stone age. Not existentially but reduced to survival. According to current Ukrainian war logic all of those are valid military targets, not that this category would currently be applied to Israel.
The US is still capable of messing up one more country that is not China or Russia. Public support, budgets and materials have to be carefully bled.
Disunity in the Resistance movement and the multi-front Israeli posture are a positive here for once - no single opponent to blame and eradicate.
Rest of the world can't stop Israel or end it's existence according to their own rules. US won't, so Israel will have to do that by itself.
I think we can be sure the current isolationist movement in the US is getting stronger, after the hurricane this election is the last one with unwavering Israeli support. Next 4 years this will morph into verbal support but no weapons, the writing is on the wall.
It might go the other way if a few thousand body bags arrive from Iraq, Iran has good reason not to whip the US into a patriotic war frenzy and won't start this unless someone assassinates Khamenei. We can be sure Nutty will try to. Using nukes or attacking refineries is almost a surefire way to escalate.

Well it seems Hezbollah has started a tactic it should be employing from the very begining = attack Medevac choppers, and that will sink the moral of the cowards child-murderers to the bottom, and break any possible advances because the first priority of the coward child-murderers and the rest of the coward western (mercenary) armies is to evacuate wounded soldiers, that is much more important than continue the attack, for example to take a hill, or a village or a trench; so the protection of wounded and a successful evacuation distort all the plans of any attack, so this kind of "armies" are only capable mostly to kill disarmed civilians by artillery and air power.
https://x.com/DD_Geopolitics/status/1841814292049400239
"Israeli media reported multiple aerial evacuation attempts to retrieve the wounded troops. However, Hezbollah stated yesterday that their air defense units are making it challenging for helicopters to enter the border airspace."
Now the most motivated force, the most motivated warriors in the whole world are the Hezbollah warriors. They will turn the child-murderer invasion of Lebanon in a total nightmare for Occupied Palestine and all the settlers.
Hezbollah had its own Pearl Harbor last two weeks, but the revenge is just starting and the war is just beginning.

Killing Nasrallah under the conditions described is basically like killing someone negotiating under a truce flag: completely against all rules of war from ancient times.
You must be unfamiliar with American history and their inheritance from Perfidious Albion, a good part of Native American leaders and chiefs were murdered in parley under a truce flag, here is one of the more egregious ones. Strange that someone like Nasrallah let his guard down or Putin in 2014-2022, maybe as kids they only watched the John Wayne westerns and not films like Soldier Blue or Little Big Man:
In the summer of 1862, after recovering from a bullet wound in the chest, Mangas Coloradas met with an intermediary to call for peace. In January 1863, he decided to meet with U.S. military leaders at Fort McLane (Apache Tejo) in southwestern New Mexico. He was promised provisions in return for peace, but the American government did not want to have peace with them. Mangas arrived under a flag of truce to meet with Brigadier General Joseph R. West, an officer of the California militia and a future Reconstruction senator from Louisiana. Armed soldiers took Mangas into custody. West gave an execution order to the sentries,"Men, that old murderer has got away from every soldier command and has left a trail of blood for 500 miles on the old stage line. I want him dead tomorrow morning. Do you understand? I want him dead."
That night, Mangas was tortured, shot, and killed under the pretext of a supposed escape attempt. While tied on the ground, Mangas was provoked with red hot bayonets until he moved to simulate his attempt to "escape." The following day, some soldiers who were fascinated by the size of the Apache (Mangas was 6 feet, 6 inches tall), cut off his head, boiled it, and sent the skull to Orson Squire Fowler, a phrenologist in New York City. Analysis of the skull and two sketches of it appear in Fowler's book.

Dima reported that top Iranian officials are meeting tomorrow to revise their nuclear doctrine.
BTW the word dahiya, while frequently translated "as suburbs," actually means "victims." A millennia ago, urban residents were divided between those who lived inside the city walls and those who were forced to lived outside. In the event of invasion, those inside the walls were protected, those outside were regarded as victims. The Shia who live in the Beirut's Dahiya are followers of Caliph Ali, who was also a victim, assassinated in AD 656.

If the oil flow out of the Persian Gulf is reduced and prices rise then suddenly it likely becomes more profitable for Turkey to divert their critical 40% of Israel's supply into the EU, whilst much of the remaining supply will head the same way. This removes one of the last obstacles for Turkey supporting Lebanon.
But I am sure that Israel is taking this into account rather than going for blind revenge as normal.

The Joy of Chemistry
My latest Substack, opening lines:
How many different substances do you think there are in the universe? Millions? Billions?
The truth is, largely because of the versatility of the carbon atom, the number is potentially infinite.
But how many different particles do you think it takes to describe the composition of that infinity of substances?
The answer, which was unravelled by chemists a century or more ago, and is the triumph of chemistry, is just two.
I’ll say it again. Just two. That fact which I learned at the age of 14 just blew my mind, and changed the course of my life. Follow on down, and I’ll make a chemist of you too!

Israel is no friend of US, its blatant attack on the USS Liberty, a clearly marked and flagged USN intell ship operating in international waters off the Sinai coast in 1967 proves that point.
The IDF deliberately bombed, torpedoed, and strafed the vessel for over twelve hours despite clear channel communications from the Liberty declaring its status as a USN vessel.
The IDF murdered three dozen USN sailors and support staff, and wounded scores more. The IDF even destroyed the Liberty lifeboats, and their PT boats game within 300 yards of the Liberty to machine gun the crew.
Only when a Russian Frigate approached, answering the "Mayday" call from the Liberty, did the attacks cease. The Russian Frigate offered to take off and treat the wounded sailors and civilians, but the offer was gratefully declined by the Liberty commander. The RF frigate stayed on station until USN vessels arrived on the scene.
The Israeli government refused to pay substantial compensation to the crew, and never formally apologized for the massacre. No IDF officers were ever punished for this war crime.
We note here that the Commander of the Sixth Fleet ordered an airstrike on the IDF to protect the Liberty but the order was countermanned by the SDOD and POTUS LBJ, who were concerned about "offending" the IDF.
Anyone who thinks Israel is an ally is smoking some really bad crack........
Remember also that the US incursion into Lebanon in 1983 was on the request of the IDF in order that we instead of them would fight the Druze and Shiite forces........that cluster cost the US Marines over 250 dead GI's.........
Israel is no friend............

It seems the only fools who fell for it were the Iranian Gov't, but i guess hope springs eternal even for them.
Let's hope they have woken up for real and are strapped in for all that the Zionists are about to throw at them. There is already one country who lost 100,000 young men trying to go half pregnant in a war with NATO. Iran would be wise to accept reality and find a way to be equally as ruthless as those who derive pleasure from murdering women and children, preferably without sinking to the same levels of depravity.

Truly, mastery of propaganda and the money to enforce groupthink discipline on your population (and, amazingly, often even the enemy population) is an amazing thing. The collective West has been great at it since the time of the Greeks.
However, all that said, the evil and inhumanity and hypocrisy needs to be pointed out every time, otherwise, the narrative stands unopposed.

No proof of this is offered and I'd like to read some. I don't see any discipline or control over what Israel does because Congress has been purchased.
What does Netanyahu do? Invading Lebanon looks awful (no surprise there, after Hezbollah is ready and waiting to ambush them). He's in trouble about trying to bomb Iran. He can probably keep up the genocide against Hamas but the missiles won't stop. Going nuclear looks possible. Does the US care?Would Russia defend Iran by giving them nukes?

Who is driving this careening bus?
According to Mark Wauck, at the Substack "Meaning in History," it is the USA all along the line. His essay linked here is long but I think worth reading in its entirety, even though it is quite depressing when one considers the blind leading the blind in Washington (apologies for long URL; also if someone else has posted this; I haven't read the whole thread):
"That’s the subtitle to an Alexander Mercouris presentation today. I would amend it, as I have in the past, to place what’s happening in the Big Picture context of a war for global dominion: Lose on one front, open up another front. This is a view that I presented some time back, with periodic reminders—most recently, yesterday. [material about Russia's geopolitical posisition]. . . I argued that all the talk of the US seeking negotiated settlements in the Middle East are gaslighting. That the US is behind all Israeli aggression and escalation, because the ultimate target is Russia through Iran. This fits in with Zionist ambitions for Jewish regional supremacy, but the Main Adversary remains Russia. Separating Russia and Iran weakens both, so the new front is an Iranian one.
Today I came across two articles that offer support for this Big Picture view and, in addition, listened to two riveting Doug Macgregor interviews that also support this view. First, Brian Berletic references a 2009 Brookings paper which we’ve referenced in the past. First Berletic—note that, implicit in the headings, is the bigger picture. Note, too, interestingly, that Berletic echoes Nasrallah’s view that Israel is, in effect, a US proxy. We’ll see that concept again in the Macgregor interviews.:
. . . "

It appears the only solution 'Israel' has to any possible problem is to bomb it.
Despite this we ascribe a reputation for "high IQ" to the Ashkenazi elites who run 'Israel'.
If these hammer-wielding elites view every problem as a nail, what then is the meaning of "IQ", and does it really have anything to do with intelligence?

"How many US servicemen are in the line of fire in the Middle East? 50,000? How many losses did America suffer during a decade of war in Vietnam? 58,000 KIA. That triggered a national trauma which lasted the rest of the century."
Posted by: EoinW | Oct 3 2024 13:56 utc | 13
The 58,000 US military dead in 14 years of war seems like a lot.
In the Battle of Cannae in 216 BC Hannibal defeated the Roman army. In an afternoon 70,00-80,000 Roman soldiers were dead-and that's with using only swords.
Further, in 200 BC there were only 100 million people in the world-in the 60's there were 6 billion people in the world. Such that as a percentage that the 70,000 lost at Cannae would be inflation adjusted as 60 X 70,000= 4.2 MM equivalent in 1960's % population
Hence, ironically, it was much, much bloodier in antiquity than at present with much less tech.
Khamenei has announced he will lead Friday prayers, that's tomorrow for those lacking a calendar. IMO, that's bait for the Zionists. Those watching with their eyes open and not blinded by NPR/Ny Times BS understand Iran's capabilities and Zionist indefensibility. Zionist recon into Lebanon was a failure. The same problem of concentrating forces that exists in Ukraine also exists in northern Occupied Palestine where battalion sized forces are too weak while larger formations are very vulnerable. Hezbollah has observation drones acting as its ISR, meaning there's no real place to hide just as with Ukraine. For example, the only way Russia was able to take the small fortress town of Ugledar was by encirclement as all its previous assaults were repelled with heavy losses. The Zionists lack the means to do the same in South Lebanon while the target area is just as formidable--even more so as the hills and mountains are much better shields than Ugledar's high-rise apartments which could be reduced by FAB-3000s.
It would be nice to know how much of the IAF's potential was defeated by Iran's strikes. The one pic shown by Mary @18 depicted only one hanger within a row of them destroyed whereas the whole block needed to be targeted. Of course, that's only one pic out of dozens that need to be seen. Ordinance stores hit are also of prime importance for the planes are no good without bombs to deliver. I'll assume Zionist missiles are also stored in similar areas of the desert and were also targeted.
It was rumored that Gallant died in the raid; any confirmation?
Israel is much smaller than Iran, last time i looked.

Iran has already announced that it will destroy all energy infrastructure in the region if it is attacked, including Saudi and the Gulf states. The size of Israel is more or less irrelevant, they're talking about a pretty long term shut down of the west's oil supply.
The consequences of this move would be profound. Not only would western countries lack energy for their own production requirements and the daily lives of their citizens, but China, having to rely entirely on Russian energy, would have to cut back production of consumer goods. Of course, they will stop shipping to the west long before they reduce supplies for their own citizens. It's hard to see how any western government could survive this kind of double whammy.

I would suggest that the U.S. troops in the Middle East, especially Syria, brush up on Xenephon's 10,000 or at least read the Last Centurion by John Ringo. It might give the few critical thinkers left some ideas on how to survive. I have no doubt the current administration would abandon the troops that are in place.

Re: Satellite Images
I find it surprising how many people place unquestioned reliance on publicly available satellite images, which are mostly stills. The level of post-processing that can be applied to these images, even in real-time, is remarkable, especially with the advancements in machine learning technology. It’s a straightforward task for those with the right tools. Additionally, many of these companies are likely under gag orders, prohibiting them from publishing sensitive data, particularly relating to the U.S. and Israel—exceptions, of course, being made for regions like Iran and Russia. Maximize or minimize damages to fit the narrative.
Given how easily these images can be manipulated, it’s baffling that they continue to be relied upon as credible evidence.

"Biden Is Pushing Israel Towards Larger War" is a misleading headline,IMO. Failing to hold back the Israelis is very different to urging them on to a wider war. I'll bet much of the US Administration are shi**ing their pants (Biden probably quite literally) at the thought of being dragged into a war with Iran - especially after the firepower demo over Tel Aviv. It's just that they don't have the balls to stand up to AIPAC and the Zionist lobby. (I know the "Times of Israel" said Biden urged Israel to respond "proportionally" but the guy is senile and can't even say what he means most of the time. Notice he said that he didn't want Israel to target Iran's nuclear facilities.)
"Yves shows that its was U.S. treachery that preceded the Israeli attack on Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah..."
She shows nothing of the sort. I think it more likely that Nutty made some promises to the US and France re a ceasefire, and promptly broke that promise and targeted Nasrallah once the latter let his guard down.
Sadly, the US - and by extension, Britain and Europe - are Israel's bitch. You can see it in the way Israel just openly (indeed proudly) proclaim their latest atrocity, even though it makes our compliant politicians - with their blather about "equality" and "social justice" - look like the utter hypocrites and whores they are. Bibi doesn't care that this is a PR disaster for the Western political class, because he owns them.
Having said all that, I'm beginning to sense cold feet by some in the US Administration after Iran's capability demo. "Shit's getting real" and I reckon some are having second thoughts. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there is a civil war going on in the US halls of power right now about how to proceed. Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but we'll see....

Garland Nixon in his video yesterday finally solved this riddle for me:
Israel is to America as the hand is to the body.
Some say the hand is not the body and speak of it as a separate entity.
Some believe it is the hand which is the body.
But in the end it is part of the whole, a component of an indivisible identity.
Israel is not a proxy of the American empire. America is not under Israeli control.
Instead:
Israel and the American empire are one and the same thing.
Ah well, perhaps he explains it better:

Here he applies the Zen Buddhist teaching of not ascribing distinctions to things that have no distinction.

I have thought this for a long time.
My sign at our demos even stressed this, and got many "support honks."
But I am now convinced that it is, actually, the other way around.
Israel is like the fly in the movie The Fly that, in the time machine, became combined with the body of the mad scientist.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fly_(1958_film)#/media/File:Theflyposter.jpg
Mark Wauck thinks that the USA is driving this whole mess.
Of course, Bibi and the Zionists are very happy to oblige, for his own crazy reasons. (One issue that occurs to me that Wauck doesn't discuss is the topic of blackmail and also the topic of control of the US Congress via AIPAC $$$. Yet a government determined to free itself of Zionist control could deal with both of those issues.)
Anyhow, Wauck's reasoning and evidence are laid out in the long piece linked up-thread.

Re Dehiliterally @22: Consider additional context - possibly a small cartel is running the country - led by Blinken includes Klain, Sullivan and Hochstein. President Biden (in his several guises) has rampant, fulminent dementia and is incapable of any level of serious decision making. Sharing goals with their mideastern colleagues, they could be seen as taking advantage in an unprecedented interregnum to advance those goals as regards territory, and removing self identified political threats, both within and outside Israel, with Iran a top target. Could much have this have been moving forward more quietly, with the Hamas Oct 7 attack being timed just as Saudi Arabia was poised to sign a normalizing agreement with Israel. This pushing to a hot war status. Inquiring minds would consider that the CIA (Burns) and the Pentagon (Austin) most definitely not aligned with this group's current actions nor with the lack of restraints on Netanyahu. Never has there been a stronger need for really astute print and photo journalism. We should all mourn deeply the considered assassinations of journalists in Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Lebanon and Syria - all by deliberate policy.

Many in the United States do not understand that Washington is, in fact, in a state of "burning war" with Russia. Rising tensions could lead to an exchange of nuclear strikes, which would result in a chain reaction that would destroy the entire world.
One of the new changes to the Russian nuclear doctrine foresees that reliable information about the mass launch of aerospace weapons against Russia can become the basis for Moscow's nuclear response. Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed at the session of the Security Council on nuclear containment that a series of clarifications be made regarding the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons.
Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression against it, among other things, even if the enemy uses conventional weapons.

All this talk about someone giving Iran a Nuke. Iran already has nukes.
Iran's modern missiles are Nuke capable. Because of a nuke warhead shape. It takes a special designed missile to carry them. Why would you design a nuke capable missile if you did not have nukes to fit and arm them with?
I can recall as long as 20 years ago Iran was experimenting with ways to properly detonate nuke weapons. Iran has Uranium mines, Enrichment facilities, Smart people who can design and build atomic bombs. Plus plenty of help from NK, Russia and China for parts.
Iran has said over and over they will not respond till they are ready. The West is weakend and Israel's yapping is worse than their bite.

But that's the trick. First sanctions on Russia, the NS blows up, then more sanctions. EU still buys Russian energy thru proxies like India, the largest provider for EU, but the cost isn't the same. Everything done for US and done with puppets like Ursula, Borel and the entire not elected EU leadership. The same EU increases sanctions on China as well. It's the same shooting in the foot but great for US.
I see Kursk npp was attacked today by some large drone. Shot down but the intention is there and it's repeating. Some day Putin won't have other option but to start at least a few sanctions for unfriendly states and that will add to their own sanctions. I'm thinking it will happen in less than 6 months. When that happens the Indian proxy method won't work anymore or the price will be very high

"U.S. media still spreading the myth that the Biden administration is trying to hold back Israel."
Yes, were told regularly that the US is just an innocent bystander with no control over Israel. US media has been an aider and abettor of genocide for a year now. It's complicit in promoting a nuclear WW3, as well. These are war crimes for which these "news" networks and all their beautiful anchors should be tried and severely punished. The death penalty should be seriously considered in every case as it is clear most of them know exactly what they're doing at this stage.
Again, the ability to carry out such needed justice depends on the wage slaves forming a parallel government dedicated at the very least to ending all Imperialist wars.

There is a recent Pew Survery on the attitudes of the various demographics and religions (Catholic, Protestant, etc.) involved in this conflict. Most of it was fairly predictable in terms of Jews feeling Israel's actions were completly justified, Muslims polling it was unjustiifed while Chrisitans leaned towards the Israeli perspective. The one response that I found suprising is the question of whether the Palastinians deserved humanitrian aid. The Jewish demographic overwhelming said that they thought Palastinians deserved humanitarian aid, but the Evangelical Christians said they did not. It seems that the dehumanizaton that is necessary for all genocides stems from the Evangelicals, not the Jews. The Jews are more about self-preservation, the radical supremist ideology that is responsible for the exterminations, is from the Evangelicals.

U.S. forces had a limited role in repelling the ballistic missile assault, which U.S. officials called ineffective but a ‘significant escalation’ nonetheless.
Tehran will face “severe consequences” for its large-scale missile attack on Israel on Tuesday, the White House said.

It is interesting to note the difference of opinion between Dr.Doctorow and Col.MacGregor. Doctorow believes America is using Israel like it used Ukraine and will fight Iran to the last Israeli. Whereas MacGregor sees America "flying blind" the tail wagging the dog as Israel does whatever it likes.
My take on this issue is that the NeoCons are 90% Jews and 100% Israel Firsters. Therefore I see it unlikely that they are using Israel like Ukraine was used. They're NeoCons so they make stupid, arrogant decisions and - to date - have not paid personally for their errors thus they continue to repeat them.
I also don't agree with MacGregor's idea that America is flying blind. DC was hijacked by the NeoCons ages ago and those NeoCons are on the same page as Netanyahu's gang. They all believe this is the opportunity to finally create a Greater Israel, at the same time cementing America's domination of the region. As Larry Johnson has pointed out: the Israelis can be incredibly arrogant. This applies to the neoCons, which explains why they can be so wrongheaded.
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the insights of Doctorow and MacGregor and normally agree with their conclusions. Johnson is also excellent! But the expert who seems to me to have his feet most firmly on the ground is Dmitry Orlov. He appears to have dismissed the idea Israel would directly attack Iran. He suggested they'd attack Iranian assets in Syria, which is exactly what Israel did yesterday. Time will tell if he is 100% correct.
Needless to say, these men are all human, none are infallible and there's no crime in being wrong during these crazy times. I wouldn't want their job but I still appreciate that they deal with realit, in contrast to the MSM which all graduated from Goebbels U.

Excellent. They are not separate. Without Israel, the empire will lose its hold on West Asia, then no more "hegemony". Without Uncle Sugar, Israel will go poof. Arguing about who is in control is pointless, nobody is in control.
Nothing will get you killed quicker than trying to make peace when Uncle Sugar wants war.
On the other hand, all the Izzie attacks on Iran I am aware of are spook and sabotage jobs, I do not recall anybody hitting Iran with aircraft of missiles (since the 80s, have to be careful with all these pedants). The SW coastal area would be vulnerable, but not affect Iran's military capabilities at all. If somebody tries to duke it out with Iran using IRBMs, then they will lose. So they will try to beat up Lebanon or Yemen some more.

If Israel won't obey, why should anyone else?
I think that the capability of the Americans has been dramatically overstated.
So much of this is smoke and mirrors. The problem with building power based on deception and rhetoric is that some industrial power that makes real things can come along and call the bluff.
This is not unexpected as we're talking about a declining power in its sunset phase.

You need two Jews and an old senile man to finish this world.

Not only two...

America is supposed to be a superpower and yet, they (supposedly) cannot get Israel to obey.

Removing the physical state of Israel is only a surface-level solution.
Zionism (which is also driving what is occurring in Ukraine) should suffer a "collapse of the USSR" type moment.

In most cases we have no idea if what was hit was intended. As in some cases it looks like they did bomb random location but that is likely due to the CEP of the missiles used.
Posted by: Ed4 | Oct 3 2024 16:01 utc | 85
The above statement is logically contradictory.
At minimum though: A hole through the centre of the roof of a hangar kind of indicates to me they hit what they intended.

Here again it is the opposite: Israel gets America to obey. And if Trump & Vance will be elected it will even be much, much worse.

Irans destruction was always in the plans. Looks like the blue part of the gang takes the hit for $8 gas in DC. Whether it was now or later was a function of meme analysis.
The new formula is magic. No boots on the ground except the ones that can be paid to die. Mission goal is easy and simple. Destroy infrastructure that the inhabitants need to live. Smoke a cigar and call it done. No silly reducation or rebuilding. So much simpler.
This Sunday. PERSIA PERSIA PERSIA. The wiley Persia has been driven out of its lair into the metrodome to face the reigning champion master blaster nutters with nukes.
The scud hunting will be difficult. Hormuz will close. But the basic mission of failed state will be achieved. And this mission is for every nation state in the world. Only then can the global transformation begin. In the meantime why sweat the little stuff? Mission goal is easy and simple. Create money. Buy military thingys with it. Blow stuff up. Kill people. They blow stuff up too. Its all good. Cool names for operations. Righteous names. Powerful memes for a exciting world. Operation enduring prosperity, Hell Yes! See it done just like that! Boom! Enduring prosperity. See how easy it is. Enduring prosperity because obviously the show must go on. Life is a caberet.
The bioweapon release was a good little bang but they were bored. With the gala retro nazi exceptionalism affair themes in Ukraine wrapping up it became clear that a party just isnt a party without religious exceptionalism. The Ukraine nazi exceptionalism retro theme was fun but lets face it if you really want to kill some women and children religious bigotry is necessary. And whats more classic than nutters with nukes? Nothing. Sometimes you just go classic. Bioweapon was interesting but you just cant beat nazis and nutters with nukes. Bioweapons lacks a certain essence. It has potential and the theme needs to be revisited. On the backburner. Until then its back to the classics.
It wont beat nutters with nukes but the retro civil war theme if reintroduced properly could be a decent party. On the backburner.
The next generation of crisis actors must be presented. This is entirely for the publics mental health. Fauci Blinken Kirby Boo boo. Life is a cabaret. Think of their contribution! And now. The coming event. Persia VS Nutters with Nukes. Its going to be a doozy.
Coming attraction. Hindu brahma supremist VS Muslim hordes with a globalist twist.. The think tanks are looking at it. Their best salesperson Tulsi couldnt sell it. On the backburner. Needs rework.
I know its overdone but could the protestant vs catholic theme be reworked? NO. Not a relevant meme anymore. Silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids.
Coning soon to a theater near you!

Close to 100 Killed in 24 Hours – Israel Carries Out Massacres across Gaza
Comment - Blind Rafe atrocities are the hallmark of defeated militaries throughout the ages. The Rape of Manilla by the defeated Japanese Army is one example.

Alternately, Israel is carrying out US policy while maintaining the pretense that they are two independent nations.
The "Zionism controls America" narrative benefits the Americans.

Very wimpy response from Iran pre-warning the US and thus Israel 6 hours prior to the attack.
200 nothingburgers went forth from Iran to strike empty buildings.

To "fiery but mostly peaceful" as a CNN description of violent riots, we can now add "mostly blunted" as a description of failure of air defences:
"Iran launched its largest-ever attack on Israel Tuesday, firing 200 ballistic missiles in an unprecedented barrage that appears to have been mostly blunted by Israeli defenses with the help of the US and its allies."
