Israel’s Pager Attack – A Sophisticated One-Times Shot With Little Effect

Yesterday's terrorist attack by Israel against Hizbullah in Lebanon was quite sophisticated.

Back in February Hizbullah had urged its affiliates to avoid smart-phones, which can be controlled by foreign intelligence services, and to instead use pagers to receive text messages and alarms when necessary.

Israel must have recognized that suggestion as a chance to infiltrate the supply chain for these communication tools.

It somehow managed to manipulate pager shipments to Lebanon some of which would be acquired by Hizbullah and its affiliates. Yesterday specific encoded messages were sent to the manipulated pagers. Some moments later they started to blow up. Eleven people were killed and some 4,000 were wounded.

Not all people killed or wounded were members of Hizbullah. Pagers are also used by emergency and volunteer services. Western media avoid to call this attack a terrorist operation. But just ask yourself how they would describe the attack if this had happened to the other side of the conflict.

Pagers are not an exclusive means of Hizbullah. The attack was indiscriminate. The explosions happened in many situations of daily life – during visits in shops (vid), in driving cars in the middle of traffic, near to bystanders including children.

The pagers were sold under the brand name of Gold Apollo, a Taiwanese company specialized in such devices. But, according to the company, the devices sold in Lebanon were manufactured under license by the Hungarian company BAC Consulting KFT.

Lowkey writes:

The CEO and founder of BAC is Cristiana Arcidiacono-Barsony, who describes herself as a strategic adviser in internal affairs with international experience in the Middle East.

According to her academic profile she studied at SOAS and LSE universities in London.

The above points to an MI-6 involvement in the affair.

Elijah Magnier reports (vid) that the delivery of the pagers had been held up for several months by customs in a Middle Eastern country. The time was allegedly used by Israeli services to dismantle the devices and to replace their original Lithium-Ion batteries with ones which included explosives and birdshot to create a maximum of damage. The electronics of the devices were manipulated to trigger delayed explosions after the pager received a certain coded message.

This very sophisticated operations must have cost millions and must have involved a quite large number of specialists.

It would have been ideal for Israel to trigger such a mayhem as part of a general attack on Hizbullah. It would have increased Hizbullah's time to implement its defense plans.

To trigger the attack outside of a large scale war context is a rather limp maneuver. Most of the wounded will soon recuperate and return to their duties.

Israeli officials claim that they triggered the operation because some Hizbullah members had found out about the explosives and would soon alarm their leadership. It was thus a 'use it or lose it' situation.

That though does not sound plausible to me. How would Israel know that Hizbullah members found out about it? If they had so why would they not immediately inform their command of the imminent danger?

It is more plausible that the Netanyahoo government used the attack as a means to silence it critics which demand an all out attack on Hizbullah. The Israeli military and Netanyahoo know that a war with Hizbullah would be theirs to lose.

Now they can say: "See, we are already doing something very very serious …"

But that wad has been blown for little effect. It was a one time shot. They chances to repeat such an operation are close to nil.

Tomorrow Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah will publicly offer more information about the incident and its possible consequences.

Better than nothing but using a single vpn has almost universally been advertised as a solution to security situations that they’re not. Especially if you’re paying for a commercial one.. online. Search free open vpn and it’ll better than 99% of payed services by bigtech. Your device has multiple unique identifiers however, you’d need to secure those first before connecting to anything expecting to remain unsurveilled.

The pager thing is just a distraction from The Russians Telling The Americans and The British (The French Listened too)
If You Bomb MOSCOW, you will not Wake Up up in a Cloud of Dust, in New York, London or Paris on Sunday Morning
You Will Be DEAD…
I do know about Pagers and stuff…
I got a new job in 1995 (within the same large British Company), but a part of it that was making massive losses). They said, you either make these new computer systems work, and we totally turn it around, so that we are making a Profit, or THEY will close us down, and all of us will lose our jobs…
Our headcount went down from over 300 to 24.
So I know about the pager thing, and working from home, and even working when on holiday. They said you are Responsible for this bit…
I was 45 years old, which is old in the computer industry. I was on-call with pager and the companies mobile phone, and desktop, and laptop and their ISDN and My Landline for 6 years. So I did, everything I possible could to make My Systems as Reliable as Possible – and got them to monitor each other, eventually in seperate locations, and page me – send me a text message if anything had failed.
They are still paying My Pension, but I couldn’t take it any more, or I would have gone totally mad.
So have been retired for 20 years, and still mostly hate mobile phones.
My last job title was Principal IS Analyst…I had done numerous jobs, including Contingency Planning and Disaster Recovery. This sometimes involved going to meetings, where I was representing my company, with the British Government, which in the 1970’s The British Civil Service CCTA, I found surprisingly Good. OK most of us were in our 20’s and Trying our Best to keep everything working in the case of a major disaster.
I couldn’t handle the current shower of sh1t. They seem to be doing the opposite.

As long as the VPN can bypass firewalls and p2p monitoring, I’m ok with it as long as it doesn’t profit zionists. Same reason I cancelled accounts with air bnb, expedia, booking and several other sites that profit from the occupation.

In the past I had doubts that Israel was involved with the explosion at the Beirut port. After these latest attacks, I tend to conclude that at least, Israel manipulated for the fertilizer to be stranded there. And mostly likely controlled the time of detonation as well.

From PepeEscobar – Telegram
The pagers that blew up or blinded 3,200 people – including Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon – were manufactured in the Czech Republic.
The shipment was purchased in early March by a Qatari – with delivery to Beirut.
The manufacturing company, operating under license from the Taiwanese parent company, Golden Apollo, is owned by a – surprise! – Jewish American.
The explosive device and the printed circuit board with the malicious code were installed still at the factory in the Czech Republic.
The batch was shipped by sea from Hamburg to Lebanon.
.
The pagers were equipped with tracking sensors. Mossad could detect where Hezbollah operatives as well as civilians were gathering and where were they going.
Forty seconds before detonation, the pagers sounded a high-pitched alarm – and self-destructed.
The pagers started to get very hot an hour before the explosion. A significant number of potential victims moved them away from themselves. But the 3,200 victims did not.

VPNGATE sounds mostly good but two concerns.
They keep logs for three months.

The log includes:
The user’s IP address
ID, IP address, and host name of the volunteer server
Date and time of connection and disconnection
Records of destination HTTP/HTTPS hostnames, IP addresses, and port numbers
Number of packets and bytes transmitted during the session
All those pieces of data — and more — are stored in the log file of the destination server for at least three months, and VPN Gate is open to disclosing them to law enforcement or any court of law with proper authorization.

VPNGATE is manned by anonymous volunteers. Could be anyone.

Statements about the imminent start of a third Lebanon war in this case are premature: as shown by the explosions of communication means and strikes on Beirut, the Israelis do not need any “permission” to unleash a full-scale war.

Best to wait and see if it was factory or after the devices left the factory. Due to the large number of different devices now exploding its unlikely to have been done at the factory. If all or most exports come through the customs of the unknown middle east country, then that is likely to be where the modifications occurred. All that need be known is model of what has been ordered and then modified batteries and whatever electric mods required can be prepared for when the shipment arrives at the ‘anonymous’ customs.
Perhaps something would need to be done to ensure the shipment is shipped through that countries customs. This is the big thing, finding out why the pagers came through another middle east customs.

@Kaspar

Strange. My experience working with Arabs in Gulf countries over several years is that they are generally smart. Maybe you guys have worked in areas that don’t require much intelligence?

I said they were incompetent, obsessed with hierarchy, and showed little initiative. These are cultural traits… though as I recall, the last time I looked at IQ charts for ME countries, they were all sub-90.
Furthermore, IQ follows a normal distribution, so obviously if a job calls for “much intelligence”, then the people doing it will all be far higher than average for their cohort, regardless of race.

Btw, average IQ in Israel is 92.

Yes, the Falasha, Mizrahim and Arab IQ drag the much higher Ashkenazi average downwards.

Proton mail is obliged by law and US might have indirect influence, VPN is slightly different though as per second link
https://restoreprivacy.com/vpn/reviews/protonvpn/
https://protonvpn.com/blog/privacy-policy-explained
In reality I think any VPN could log if it chose/was ordered to.
For fuller privacy you would also want to use a device bought with cash, keep and use no personal data on it, access no sites that had personal data on you, use an anonymous internet connection (cash bought SIM for example) and not use the device from home location or from a locatable position (in vehicle or with own phone switched on), not use for long time in one location, disable GPS mic and cameras, ungoogle or go linux, why not firewall, understand fingerprinting and avoid…etc. etc.
That just about makes it impossible. For tracking though, apart VPN/TOR and any above, understanding fingerprinting is important. If a site you want to be anonymous at fingerprints, it can then compare that with another normal site that has personal detail of yours of some kind and so access your identity. There are sites like amiunique that will test the fingerprint of the browser.
All of that does not include being hacked, OS leaks of some kind, device capturing nearby antenas to locate when not supposed to etc.
It is all fraught, and not to be put off because unless you have really upset someone etc. then basic tracking protection is peace of mind…but also the more privacy kept the better and it is good to understand the various facets. Short, no electronics is completely secure and others know much more than me (or you).
Personally I just don’t like the idea of someone somewhere thinking they have an edge on you.
Choice is own on who to trust, which region or country etc.
Sorry OT but it is relevant in a tangential way, should give people something to think about.

Pepe’s sources are quite often not good on this sort of thing. It was a Lebanese or Hezbollah official that said they spent several months in a middle east countries customs. The Qatar bit could possibly be correct but the shipment went first to Qatar rather than Lebanon and that is the middle east country where they were held for several months and modified.
https://apnews.com/article/politics-russia-government-qatar-united-states-hezbollah-b6b7c51ec89aaf1d21eca6301c788d7f

Most wealthy Gulf Arab nations followed Saudi Arabia’s lead in recent years and ostracized crisis-hit Lebanon because of the growing influence of the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah. The exception was Qatar.
Doha has been silently expanding its influence in Lebanon. It continued receiving Lebanese leaders and pumped tens millions of dollars into helping the country’s armed forces amid a historic economic meltdown.
The small, gas-rich nation in late January began seeing the fruits of its investment, when state-owned Qatar Energy replaced a Russian firm in an international consortium that will search for gas in the Mediterranean Sea off Lebanon’s coast.

Qatar energy also builds solar power stations. These would most likely include batteries.
Th solar battery that exploded had most likely been modified and explosives added while in position. I think I read it was installed four years ago.

Thanks – I had to think it all through at one point, and try to understand what would be accessible to who. In short my location had not to be accessible by non judicial means (i.e. not via bureaucracy or simple look up). That way any unwanted attention I might receive outside of judicial oversight I would know was by being illegally targeted and that would not be defensible by assailants. Had to change country though. So I did not have to take all the measures mentioned, simply did not register my address in any way. If I thought I was being hunted down, for sure I would ditch all devices, keeping minimum with battery removed. If I thought I was really really being hunted down then I would have ditched all and taken ‘stateless simpleton’ or something until obtaining completely new ID. Haven’t done any wrong either, just ‘the way the cookie crumbled’ or someone took a dislike or decided to prove their ability or I was considered too close to a truth. Etc.

The paging devices may have been manufactured under licence by BAC Consulting KFT but that fact in itself does not mean that this Hungarian company actually manufactured the pagers in its own factories. The company may have subcontracted the actual manufacturing and assembly work to other companies. We would need to know if BAC Consulting KFT actually made any of the pagers in its own factory or factories in Hungary, the Czech Republic and/or in other countries, or if the work was done by other companies under sub-licences.
BAC Consulting KFT itself seems a rather strange entity and there have been suggestions the company was a front for other organisations. It seems ironic that Israel Hayom (owned by the pro-Netanyahu Adelson family, and distributed for free in Israel, which surely affects other Israeli mass media outlets’ attempts to inform and shape public opinion) did some actual journalism for a change on this company.
< AHREF="https://www.israelhayom.com/2024/09/18/did-israel-use-this-hungarian-company-for-its-alleged-hezbollah-pager-bombs/">Did Israel use this Hungarian firm for its alleged Hezbollah pager bombs?

… Following the discovery that the pagers detonated in Lebanon carried the Gold Apollo logo, the Taiwanese company has been scrambling to set the record straight.
“According to the cooperation agreement, we authorize BAC to use our brand trademark for product sales in designated regions, but the design and manufacturing of the products are solely the responsibility of BAC,” Gold Apollo’s statement said. “Our company only provides the brand trademark authorization and is not involved in the design or manufacturing of this product.”
An inquiry into the Hungarian company has only raised more questions, chief among them whether it might be a front for those behind the extraordinary operation against the Lebanese terror group.
Hsu Ching-kuang, Gold Apollo’s CEO, addressed journalists in Taipei on Wednesday. Hsu told reporters that Gold Apollo had maintained an agreement with BAC for the past three years. However, the Associated Press notes that he failed to produce any supporting documentation. Nonetheless, Hsu offered an intriguing detail: “BAC’s remittance [way of payment] was very strange,” he said, adding that payments had been sent through the Middle East. He did not elaborate further.
What BAC is remains shrouded in mystery. A review of the company’s website only deepens the enigma. The Opten business registration service shows that BAC was established on May 19, 2022, with a diverse portfolio ranging from business consulting to jewelry sales. While telecommunications is listed among its activities, an investigation by Hungarian news site 24.hu found no evidence of involvement with pager technology.
The company’s registered address is a two-story private residence and its site has been taken off the air.
BAC has a single owner, 49-year-old Cristiana Arcidiancono-Barsony, who claims Hungarian and Italian heritage. 24.hu’s investigation revealed that her personal address is an eighth-floor apartment in a residential complex in Budapest’s Újpest district. This is a property that seems at odds with her purported accomplishments. According to her online biography, [Cristiana Arcidiancono-Barsony] holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from University College London, completed post-doctoral work at the London School of Economics, and has consulted for the European Commission, UNESCO, and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Curiously, Arcidiancono-Barsony claims to have led BAC since 2019, despite the company’s official establishment in Hungary occurring only in 2022. As of Wednesday noon, BAC’s website had gone offline, displaying a maintenance notice.
Despite the mounting suspicions and strong indications of a potential shell company, Israel Hayom has reached out to to the CEO via the email address listed on BAC’s website before it went down. This article will be updated if a response is received.

Either Gold Apollo didn’t do any due diligence in checking the bona fides of BAC Consulting KFT before allowing this shell company to make anything under licence or there is something fishy with this Taiwanese company as well. Not that we should be surprised – co-operation between Israel and Taiwan goes back a long way. MoA readers should be aware Israel and Taiwan have had a trading history since the 1990s and Israel was supplying Taiwan with military technology as far back as the 1970s.
Indeed, we really should be asking why Hezbollah didn’t do proper due diligence in checking the supply chain for its pagers. How did Hezbollah decide that this particular brand of pager was ideal for use?

Posted by: Refinnejenna | Sep 18 2024 23:20 utc | 444

Imo, the primary purpose of the pager explosions was not to kill, or even injure so much as to “mark” Hezbollah operatives. I imagine that every death or injury casualty AND THEIR LOCATION at time of detonation has now been listed by Mossad. Their inside-Lebanon agents (eg hospital staff, bureaucrats, street vendors, etc) now have accumulated a massive database of people to assassinate once back in the world. 3000 Hezbollah hideouts, offices, residencies will have been exposed.
Yes, truly a horrible operation, humanity terrorist crime, but also a very sneaky, dare I say clever, operation to manufacture 5000 pagers, instal explosives in 3000 of them, program the software, distribute them ONLY into an enemy guerilla army fraternity, mass detonate 3000 of them remotely, and then monitor the results for warefare advantage. As if tracking and encryption wasn’t just enough — and Hezbollah probably had that blocked by security software.
Such technological means are certainly the brave new world of State vs State warefare. One ponders how far such methods might spread into State vs individual civilian sabotage/murder in the future.
Exploding phones anyone?

Don’t assume this list describes only one category of people. There are many groups, historically or otherwise, who exhibit some or all of this pathology. When individuals renounce belonging under these conditions it is often because they are renouncing one or more of these traits. In the end ethics is everything. Without a clear, enforceable and humanist conception of justice this kind of sociopathy rules.

Roger 243
I have been a Muslim living in a mixed Muslim community for 25 years and I realised at an early stage of this environment that I was not only not trusted as a newcomer, but was also being actively spied on , at work and in my own home.
At first , I found that deeply shocking, that Muslims who are not allowed to spy, are deeply addicted spying, on licence from tge police and British Intelligence.
Then I understood that throughout the 250 years of the British Raj, the colonisers deployed hundreds of thousands of Muslim spies to run their colony for them. And therefore that these people had been specifically invited to Britain for their very un-British collaboration with authority.
Turning to Palestine, or any other country in West Asia, political allegiances to dictators of different colours is an act of Manhood and tribal legacy. These loyalties can be conferred on French, or Russian , or Chinese, or British or US political agencies if Power is openly displayed. That concept is totally alien to British intellectuals.
I take no notice of my sinful critics, because they’re building their own furnaces in Hell by spying.
The Gospels tell the followers of Jesus AS , better to have a stone tied round your neck and drown, than to persecute my followers. I have no special security, no house insurance, no ccctv cameras on my home.
I just say May Allah guide them to Islam. Treachery is everywhere in Islam, but Allah hates it, and protects Muslims from it.
I totally disagree with your statement: “You are the enemy of real revolution, that needs to learn from its mistakes and practice basic levels of security.”
What you are asking me to do is to stop trusting in God and to become a political. Every political power will be opposed by an equal or greater, political opposition.
The reference point that is Irresistible is the Command of Allah , not to spy on other Muslims.
Believe me, but you won’t be able to believe me, Oct 7 stinks to high Heaven of Political Qiyanat/ Betrayal going on between Qatar and Israel, political Islam and Political Judaism.
That was my main point, which you still don’t understand, that all of the “assistance ” from Muslim Brotherhood in the politics of Palestine is merely Iqwan seeking political leverage from USUKIS for itself. They knew what would happen on Oct 7, they wanted it to happen.
The didn’t LIHOP they MIHOPed it happen.
The genocide of Palestine, like the genocide of India by the British Raj, was only possible by the Qiyanat / Betrayal of Indigenous Indians.
Let them put that in their pipes and smoke it , before they try to take the fleck of sawdust out of my eye.
Palestine has been Judassed to the Roman Governor by the rabbis of Political Islam, who detest the real Islam practised by the Palestinians.
Now, with kind regards , your political mind is incapable of understanding that Everybody hates the real Islam, except those like the Palestinians to whom Allah has given permission to understand Islam.
It has no petty power politics, only Allah ‘s command.

Re my comment @ 446:
Sorry, I didn’t type the tag correctly to link to the article, here is the link:
Did Israel use this Hungarian firm for its alleged Hezbollah pager bombs?
Here is another interesting article that says the product with the Gold Apollo brand name was completely different from what Gold Apollo normally makes:
Lebanon-Hezbollah pagers blast: Why Europe-based BAC Consulting used Middle Eastern bank to pay Gold Apollo?

… It was Hsu Ching-kuan, CEO and founder of Gold Apollo who opened up about BAC Consulting KFT’s suspectable financial dealings. To put things into context, Hsu Ching-kuan’s Gold Apollo had authorized the use of its trademarked branding on the pagers manufactured and sold by BAC in certain regions. It was these pagers that reportedly exploded in Lebanon killing 12 people and wounding about 3,000 others …
… According to media reports, Hsu revealed that that Gold Apollo’s relationship with BAC Consulting began three years ago. Elaborating on the reason why he said the Hungarian company’s money transfers were “strange”, Hsu said that BAC’s bank account that was blocked by Gold Apollo’s Taiwanese bank “at least once.” He claimed that despite being headquartered in Budapest in Europe, BAC used a Middle Eastern bank account for the said transactions, CBS News said in a report.
“It was very inconvenient,” he told NPR, adding: “You have to deal with these risks when doing global trade,” the report quoted him as saying.
Reports confirmed that BAC Consulting KFT was registered as a company with Hungary’s Ministry of Justice in May 2022.
Gold Apollo maintains that the design and manufacturing of the devices was the responsibility of BAC alone. The pagers involved in the blast were entirely different in designs used by Gold Apollo. Distancing the company from the incident and Israel, Hsu Ching-kuan mentioned that the chips found in the exploded devices [were] not the ones used by Gold Apollo in its own models …
… “There was nothing in those devices that we had manufactured or exported to BAC,” CBS News reported Hsu as saying about his company’s three-year-long deal with BAC Consulting KFT …

There are just too many holes in this supply chain arrangement that could be exploited by the intel agencies or criminal mafia organisations, or any of their hybrid bastard children.

Apparently various Hezbollah members became suspicious of the batteries. They set them off for fear of the operation being exposed. The operation was intented for a first strike in an invasion.
Exclusive: Hezbollah suspicions forced Israel to expedite Lebanon pager attack
I use similar radios at work. When the batteries get weak or the battery mangagemnt chip that fails I sometimes take it apart and harvest the batteries. Short one of those babies out and see what happens. I have.
It was probably obvious that the batteries were weak. One or two of the cells were packed with PETN. It appears Israel is moving up its plans for a limited invasion.

Whether Israel or Ukraine, we all tend to drift into binary thinking. This tends to conceal finer points that can be important later.
Recent events look like the same distorted, delusional and dangerous “thinking” about Ukraine. The pager thing looks like ‘weak sauce’ relative to the enormity of fighting Hezbollah. Israel didn’t do so well the last time they attempted fighting with Hezbollah. Good Luck with any blitzkrieg attempt.
Israel has gotten away with huge horrors over time because it seemed no one was paying attention and helped in that tendency by hasbaras. This time looks different. I don’t think Russia really wanted to call Israel guilty of terrorism but Zakarova did and I think others will follow. Israel is doomed in the same way as Ukraine – with an entrenched leadership that can’t be removed and will not leave or compromise because their life and freedom is threatened if they did.

Full number of batteries is usually required for correct voltage. roughly two batteries for 6 volts, 4 batteries for 12 volts ect. Forget exact lithium battery voltage now so I’ve just used 3. A larger battery pack may not need full numbers for voltage but if one battery goes down, it drops the pack voltage by that amount. I repair my own battery packs for power tools. Just a matter of unscrewing the housing, find the dud battery with a multimeter, remove it and solder in a replacement that I usually pull from a couple other packs that don’t fit the tools I have now.

Posted by: Mushroom | Sep 18 2024 17:23 utc | 215
That was the plot, I recall, of the novel titled The Masada Plan
The premise of the book – that Israel planted nuclear devices in major World capitals to be detonated if it was under existential threat of anihilation – was plausible to me when I first read the novel back in the 1980s. Knowing the overarching evil of the 2024 Zionist Apartheid State … it’s even more plausible today. Israel is nobody’s friend or ally. It’s a cancer. That needs to be understood clearly by the rest of humanity.

Do you really think that short of annihilation Israel is going to reform and realize that genocide and racial supremacy are wrong?
These Zionists do not operate in any moral or intellectual framework conducive to peaceful understanding.

Anyone who attacks Israel in a significant way (which is what Netanyahu wants to preserve his career) will get retaliation from the vassalized Zionist Western states.
Then Iran, China, and Russia will get involved. And then we will have a “proper” World War.
Is that what people should be rushing headlong towards?
Will it actually save any Palestinian lives if we end up with a global nuclear exchange? Do you see the people of Gaza having improvements in food, medicine, and infrastructure if Armageddon kicks off?

Nothing was made in Taiwan. It was manufactured maybe in Scotland by an Israeli company that is licenced to handle military explosives, where the government is run by Nazi-loving Zionists, brought up on James Bond.

I’ve used many electric caps in my life and, though small, they are huge compared to the space inside a beeper.
It will be interesting to see, if we ever do, what the initiating device actually is. A really tiny electric cap would be cool, but spark ignition like bridgewire in nuclear weapons would be super sophisticated and also raise some other questions.
Caps can be somewhat sensitive, especially electric ones if their leads aren’t shunted in storage. I wonder how they took care of that if it is the method they used.

Here is the thing: WWI was fought on horse and buggies; WW2 was fought from the skies, and atom; WWIII (some claim WWWIV if you don’t forget the cold one) will be fought under-ground. There is currently no method of beating an enemy that resides there.

“The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said it carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon on Wednesday. The action comes after Defense Minister Yoav **Gallant announced “a new phase” of Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza and pro-Palestinian militants in Lebanon.
According to the IDF, warplanes struck a rocket launcher and several buildings used by Hezbollah operatives in Jebbayn, Haltam Kafr Kila, Odaisseh and Chama.
The IDF posted a video of the strikes.“
We all know air strikes on So Lebanon are not “new”.
However, “occupying” it is the goal:
https://english.aawsat.com/arab-world/5061775-israeli-commander-calls-occupying-parts-southern-lebanon-form-buffer-zone
Excerpt:
“The sources noted that the low number of civilians in the region would make the Israeli military’s operation “simple and much faster.”
The purpose of the operation would be to eliminate the Hezbollah threat and force it to remove its fighters from the border areas so that they can no longer pose a risk to northern Israel, said Gordin.
Moreover, the occupation of some southern regions would gain Israel a bargaining chip in talks over a permanent settlement, which Hezbollah would have to agree to in exchange for the withdrawal of the Israeli army, he added.”

Who cares who built the pagers or who knew ? What matters is if the Hez retaliate and against whom.
Just like with North stream, who will Russia punish ? The Swedes , Poles , British, the US ? Who do the Hez want to punish Israel, Hungary, the US, Qatar ?
Good luck with that.

Why do you people keep making the same stupid mistake?
There is no such thing as an ‘Israeli’ ‘Civilian’.
They are ALL an integral part of the Zionist Colonialist Military Occupation Complex.

How is this any different than Zionists declaring everyone in Gaza a terrorist?
If we’re meant to operate within the moral structures of psychopaths, what are we fighting for?
Is it just to “win”?
Although it irritates somewhen I speak on spiritual matters, all of those martyrs in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Syria, and the West Bank fought for moral codes that made their sacrifices meaningful. Christians and Muslims.

We are family now – especially the first birthday party

” Hezbollah let some random Taiwanese company manufacture their primary communication device? It wouldn’t dawn on them that Israel would pay big money for access to the devices and it could easily be discovered if anyone got captured? Hezbollah cant be that stupid, can they?

It seems that they can, although its possible a third party ” ally” arranged the purchase for them.
The interesting bit here is what do the pagers, walkie talkies, ? cellphones ? , and solar electrical, and possibly other equipment systems have in common. Thats where the interesting bit lies. Additionally, does Star link operate above Lebanon ?

His proposal’s correct; implementing it is what’s currently unrealistic. The author’s historical perspective was also useful as the historiography differs from the Western narrative.

excuse me, are any of the 503 comments so far worth reading? In a normal forum website they’d have the most liked posts listed as an option at the top. Not here. Just plod through the open sewer to find something useful and accurate that isn’t a floating turd. What joy. No thanks, I think I’ll pass.
