Bombing A Way To Peace?

During the last night the Zionist entity bombed the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, using more than 85 tons of U.S. supplied ammunition.

Several large apartment blocks were destroyed.

The Zionist army claims to have given warning to the inhabitants to evacuate. But the 'warning' in form of an 'order to evacuate' came only through its army radio, at 11 pm local time and minutes before the bombers arrived.

There will be hundreds of innocent deaths from this night's campaign alone.

It is now claimed that Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, the General Secretary of the Hizbullah movement, has died in the attack.

There is however no confirmation for this.

In 2006 Israel had also claimed to have killed Sayed Nasrallah after attacking Hizbullah's main office and building. Three days later Nasrallah appeared on live-TV to announce an open war against the enemy.

It has been clear that the Zionist plan is to decapitate Hizbullah:

  • The exploding pager attack was aimed at medium level members on the civilian side of Hizbullah.
  • The exploding walkie-talkies attack was aimed and rank and file military operatives.
  • Several strikes were aimed at senior commanders.
  • Bombing runs in South Lebanon and the Bekaa valley targeted missile infrastructure.
  • A strike aimed to kill Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

However, Israel can not kill its way to peace.

Hizbullah is a social movement deeply ingrained into the people and society of Lebanon.

Hizbullah has a social society side which takes care for and aliments large parts of its constituency.

It also has a military side which is very well organized, disciplined and which has many hidden assets ready to be activated when needed. Following the Shia creed Hizbullah's soldiers are ready and willing to die for their cause.

In 1982 Israel assassinated Hizbullah chief Musawi. His replacement, Hassan Nasrallah, proved to be the more formidable enemy who organized resistance movements that span the whole region. Anyone following Nasrallah will also be younger, less risk avers and a more formidable enemy.

The same holds for the replacements of lower level casualties.

The Zionist colonist will rue the consequences of their deeds.

I have seem many different maps of Hamas and Hezbollah strikes. This one is by far the heaviest and widest spread.
Part of the Israel deal is security. While Hamas and Hezbollah exist, Israel can provide that. I don't know how many have left Israel and how many are planning to leave but it is most likely this will only increase as time goes on. Part of the collapse of this terrorist entity.

Hezbollah doesn't have the demographics to wage Vietnam-style guerilla war on Israel. Lebanon is an aging society with a subreplacement fertility rate. Israel will pick off the crazy ones, and the rest will learn to keep their heads down. Let's face it, the Arabs lost.

Israel is doing all it can to remain the big bully in the ME. It is determined to enforces its dominance. It does this by destroying anyone and their infrastructure that stands up to them in anyway. It doesn't give a shit on human casualties as long as the effect is to build on the level of fear generated. Neither does it care on the World's reaction if they use their tactical nukes (neutron bombs in 80s speak) to force their way up to the Litani River, a key water source and barrier.

They have clearly decided that this is their last chance to 'cleanse' and expand their land forcing all the millions they don't need or can afford off it. They have spent the last few decades investing in making sure that the US, the World's biggest but fading bully, backs them to win before it runs out of $ dominance.

Conversely, this is the last chance for all the countries surrounding Israel to roll back its dominance. As Hamas has weakened the IAF from within this is probably the best opportunity since the creation of Israel as well.

But do they have the balls?

Neither does Israel. Moreover, Israhell's demographic problem is far more acute than any of it's Arab neighbours.
Even worse, the pillar which makes Israel even possible, Western 'society', is also losing it's demographic battle.

Their victory is improbable. Their improbable victory, Pyrrhic.

Basically the same usual kind of "shock & awe" warfare than usual , did it worked against Hamas ? Will it works against Hezzbolah ?

Not to mention there already are reports of other Axis of Resistance nations' fighters on place in Syria and Lebanon...

His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah, joined the great and immortal martyrs, whose journey he led for nearly thirty years, during which he led them from victory to victory, succeeding the master of the martyrs of the Islamic Resistance in 1992 until the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 and until the divine, sustaining victory in 2006 and all the other battles of honor and redemption, until the battle of support and heroism in support of Palestine, Gaza and the oppressed Palestinian people.

We congratulate His Eminence the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasralla. May God grant him the highest divine honor, the Order of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, fulfilling his most precious desires and the highest levels of faith and pure belief, as a martyr on the road to Jerusalem and Palestine. And to the honorable mujahideen and the victorious and courageous heroes of the Islamic resistance, you are the trust of our beloved martyr, and you are his brothers who were his impregnable shield and the crown jewel of heroism and redemption. Our leader, His Eminence, is still among us with his thought, spirit, line, and sacred approach, and you are in the pledge of loyalty and commitment to resistance and sacrifice until victory.'

I for one, hope Sayed Nasrallah is still with us. Surely he is a man who possesses all the wisdom of the world.

On the other hand, I sometimes really get lost with the author of Sonar21.

I know he is an ex CIA analyst for Central America. I assume he is able to parse information well. I appreciate that he is able to diffuse this information in a concise manner. I find myself reading his daily briefing most mornings.

However,

He doesn't reference his sources of information (sometimes I have already read what he is saying or writing). He is short tempered when contradicted (Gilbert Doctorow for example), or even with persons responding to his requests for help when he had problems of livestream video connectivity.

Most irritating of all are his constant references to Hollywood cinema that lack any degree of cultural knowledge. I say that as someone with an M.A in film studies and finds myself unable to watch anything beyond Chaplin and Godard or the odd Hollywood cult classic, such as Richard Kelly's 'Southland Tales' or Spielberg's 'Minority Report'.

Never has there been another industry more willing then Cinema to prostitute itself. Then again, when Hollywood is able to say something, it is able to inform our contemporaneity more than any other form of media. Very rare are those occurances.

Rather unfortunately, Mr Jones still has to learn something.

RE: “However, Israel can not kill its way to peace.”

Thx B for update.

Israel doesn’t want peace. They never have.
They want hegemonic regional dominance, violence and to be feared and served.

Obviously the Lebanon governance is under their control.
The idea that Israel “ordered” Lebanon people to “evacuate” in another nation with no pushback from governance and no army coming to defend them, tells you all you need to know about Lebanon.

Justin at Anti-War did a rather morose, but honest podcast pointing out the possibility of Nasarallah’s death, the last 11 days were possibly a great set back, the probability that there Is some disorder, and that this shock and awe and decapitation strike campaign will simply mean that the resistance will regroup and Israel’s demise will take longer.

I’m guessing another couple of years, maybe more. Palestinians cannot be “wiped” out and Hezbollah will regroup and be stronger.

I’m also guessing many Christians & atheists in Lebanon have finally woken up. I see a US Embassy bombing in Lebanon coming In future.

Israel is doing all it can to remain the big bully in the ME.

Israel's position is untenable mid- to long-term, it will be destroyed.

For the same reason that the Ukraines will be destroyed: both are too weak to stand on their own feet, both need to be subsidized by a far away (and declining) power, and both are the worst neighbors.

When you are small and weak, your population is dumb (low IQ and low PISA marks) and the stupidest of your subjects are having the most offspring, as is the case of Israel, your best strategy is to be an excellent neighbor. But the jews due to their primitive religion wrongly view themselves as above their neighbors and they support that feeling by their sponging off America.

Untenable. If not the current batch, their offspring and their offspring's offspring will suffer the horrible consequences of this fatal combination of hubris and weakness, as they have suffered so many times in the past.

Killing the enemy's leader must be regarded as a declaration of war by Israel. With this and the destruction rained down by the Israel Air Force Hezbollah doesn't have much to lose now. If their claims regarding their missiles etc are sound, the Gates of Hell are about to be opened for Israel, just a question of when.

God help us.

Posted by: Truth | Sep 28 2024 11:53 utc | 21

Seems pretty clear to me at this point that Hamas and/or Hezbollah are incapable or unwilling of doing anything like Oct 7 without Israeli intentional passivity or even active abetting. The capacity of Israeli aggression and destruction is unrivalled in the region, why should it have been any different on Oct 7? The element of surprise was always on and to the benefit of the Israeli side. The hostages have meant nothing to Netanyahu and his ruling cohort, while he clearly evinces through his actions, words, and demeanor that "we're winning," that he's the mastermind of some obvious Orwellian scheme (all the more unpronounceable in the MSM), that Israel and only Israel has the latitude to play radical games in and within the region. Hamas simply doesn't exist without the abetting of Qatar, itself a US despotate in the region, an arm of the CIA and Mossad.

Posted by: Ludovic | Sep 28 2024 11:54 utc | 22

It seems pretty clear that Hizbullah's rumoured "100,000 rockets and missiles" were just that: a rumour.

It's hard to see what will stop the Zionists extirpating the Arabs from all of Palestine, and now the South of Lebanon. The West has Israel's back, and its Arab victims are brave but riddled with spies and incompetence.

Once the West implodes the situation might change... but that will probably be decades away.

Posted by: observer | Sep 28 2024 11:57 utc | 23

The resistance though has multiple levels of redundancy and always, at every level, there is a replacement waiting in the wings.

People have to learn that anticolonial war always exacts a bitter price. Yes, this is bad, of course it is; but the structural factors that doom the Entity persist, and perhaps now, given that strategic patience has exhausted itself, the major phase of destruction of the Entity will start. God Willing.

Perhaps the martyrdom of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah (peace be upon him) will be the catalyst for the Lebanese people to resist Israeli violence and to start to take the fight to Israel.

In the meantime, Israel may have reached the point of no return, and the only path forward now is towards its extinction.

Arch [email protected], the Apartheid State does not need demographics, there are lots of US and Russian citizens in Occupied Palestine taking care of what demographics will not. 85 tons of bombs dropped just last night in southern Beirut does not require demographics........hate to say it, but restraint gets perceived as weakness, how many beautiful rockets blew up in their Lebanese warehouses the past few days, that's what restraint gets.....every single rocket should have been fired already. US planes fly in and out of Occupied Palestine daily....did Hamas and Hezbollah issue a No Fly Zone, which is the crux of he matter. Lots of fancy missiles and absolutely no air cover nor ability to hinder enemy air assets.

Hezbollah "has many hidden assets ready to be activated when needed"

What the hell are they waiting for then?? You would think anytime BEFORE being bombed to the stone age and losing its entire leadership would be a good time to make good on all those threats/promises. Yet Israel once again remains barely affected, while it dishes out 1000x more damage on its foes and still pretends to be the victim.

Another sad day where the world looks at pure evil being perpetrated with barely any consequences or accountability.

Once again, a lot of talk, and not much substance when it comes to standing up to the bullies. Iran has all but chickened out, Hzb just just lost its leader and their whole country is about to be razed to the ground, just as Gazans have been obliterated now for an entire year, while the US Navy hasn't lost a single ship despite sitting right off the Yemenis coast for months. I really wish it were not so, but objectively, that is the reality.

Yet some people still insist on making us believe the evil Empire is being defeated by spewing out cope and bs and promoting it as analysis.

Rats cornered fight like this - rabid, indiscriminate - why not? They have chosen to make it life or death for themselves after all.

They know they are doomed and there is no possible way for them to survive as the illegal Apartheid Entity. A fairytale that was the last imperial colony founded only after the defeat of their master plan - stopped by Stalin, by the survival of the Red Army, after 27 million dead!

They also know their natzio centuries long desire to recreate the khazar empire is doomed yet again - the kinzhals doing what the bunker busters just did in retaliation in Lebanon.
Their rabid attack dog Anglo European aristo are being pushed to go overt and send in boots on the ground. Turkey won’t. India won’t. Who else has the manpower? Some African satrapies?

The rising multipolar watches, standing together with the leadership, weapons and muscle of millions of highly trained military - this open world war will be final - for our ziofascist Anglo European imperialists and all the colonies that choose to retain that impossible hegemony.

Maybe hundreds of millions, maybe billions. Maybe wastelands and poisoned air and ground. Maybe decades or centuries of recovery. Whatever the price - ultimately humanity will survive having rid itself of the self destructive cancerous hegemons.

When the rats are cornered, striking out , it’s best to keep them cornered and make sure they can’t escape ! They must not be allowed to shapeshift again and blight the future of human civilisational progress any longer- half a millenia is long enough.

The Empire is Dead.
From the Rivers to the Seas.

Nevertheless, I do like to listen to Ray McGovern. He speaks Russian and I think German as well. He was also on that ship 10 or so years ago that sailed from Instanbul and was then boarded by Israeli forces in International waters.
Actions and not words are what are important.
Salut!

I have not replied to a single troll in this thread. The only one was to name a number of trolls and tell them to fuck off.
If everyone ignored and didn't feed them, I would not have to do that so much as they would get bored and drift away over time if b did not clean them up before hand.

A small country of dumb and fanatic people with a bullying neighbor policy which depends on others to survive cannot exist for long, that's self-evident to the impartial observer, unless you're a smiling little jew of course.

The jews have suffered muchly in the past, poor jews, expelled hundreds of times, running naked being shot at, forced to kiss leather boots, their skins harvested for lampshades, worked to death, their heads shrunk for fun, or so they say. They are suffering again with all those northern towns abandoned and rockets falling on their holly stolen lands.

They will suffer mucho more in the near future. A suffering obnoxious little people these jews. This has to be taken into account while contemplating their feats against the Arabs and Persians, IMO.

Decapitation... It's horrible. One can never negotiate and it proves that Israel never had an intention of talking to anyone. Now the world will find out if Hezbollah is truly the hydra many claim it to be(IE. Scott Ritter). I also think China and Russia better get involved (start supplying Intel and weapons) soon because USA doesn't seem to be slowing down in supplying the Zionist regime with everything they need to make Lebanon and Occupied Palestine into a graveyard for Arabs and a new home for their terrorist settlers. The only way Israel will even contemplate a ceasefire is if they experience the exact same thing Palestinians and Lebanese are.

-------------

Russia, Iran & Lebanon are quite. As is Israel & Ukraine.

It's quite possible Netanyahu's wild ride will destroy Lebanon and Gaza/West Bank Palestine, and get a wider war with Iran. Even if Israel's socioeconomics go tits up, in the process.

Nothing could save Ukraine at this point, and Russia is clearly too tough a nut to attack directly. Elsewise it would've happened years ago. Which is why Ukraine will be a mere "proxy war" until they capitulate or get destroyed...

Posted by: Urban Fox | Sep 28 2024 12:58 utc | 73

You bet your @$$ they can bomb their way to peace. They are ethnically cleansing Palestine and slaughtering Lebanese civilians by the hundreds. They are backed by the most powerful nation on the planet and its vassals. The surrounding Arab countries are either cowed or bribed into submission.

Forwarded from Yuri Baranchik

In general, responding to a colleague from "Pinta of Reason" on his very informative post about why Iran is silent in connection with repeated provocations from Israel, why it installed the wadded Pashizekiyants as president, why it is dumping its proxies, etc., etc., there is only one reason for such seemingly insane and weak behavior - Iran is on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons , naturally, including delivery vehicles. They, the delivery vehicles, i.e. missiles, already exist.

And until it gets them, and this should happen, apparently, in the near future, it will not respond to any approaches, strikes on its proxies, provocations from Israel. Because it understands that it will receive a nuclear strike in response, to which it will not be able to respond properly. Therefore, Tehran is silent and is furiously preparing to join the ranks of nuclear powers. Because as soon as it gets nuclear weapons, the balance of power in the Middle East will change dramatically.

It is from this formulation of the question that we should evaluate the frantic activation of Israel since October 7 last year. And why those events were allegedly "slept through". I think that some, but the most influential part of the political and military leadership, the special services, realized a year ago that Tehran would stop at nothing to get nuclear weapons, and what consequences this would have for Israel. And they have a certain time lag to solve their problems with both Palestine and Lebanon as much as possible. That is why they launched a provocation. Israel needed its Twin Towers. And they got them. That is why Bibi is so active and goes ahead - he is not fighting for power, they say, otherwise he will be put on trial, but for the future of Israel, because after Iran gets nuclear weapons, Israel as a developing state can be put to rest - people will start leaving the country.

And, judging by the fact that, without finishing with Palestine, they have taken up the expansion of their territory to the north, preparing to seize the south of Lebanon, they understand that there is little time left before Tehran gets its nuclear weapons. Therefore, they are striking at Iran's proxies without hesitation, with a sweeping blow. And Tehran is silent. Too loudly silent. But if this is so, then there is only one strong reason why Iran allows this to happen - this is the goal that is about to be achieved. And this goal is to get nuclear weapons that can be used.

I think Iran is close to this. And perhaps we will hear their loud statement on this topic even before the New Year.

The Duran, one of the few alt-analysts who actually understand wtf is up:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR8iusFYieU&ab_channel=TheDuran

Israel is never gonna invade Lebanon. They just either need to bomb them into broke, impotent insignificance, or long enough to either provoke Iran into a US/NATO backed wider war, or expose Tehran's fecklessness as yet another one of its allies/proxies gets obliterated and its people get to live in a permanent sh1thole while Iranians remain (relatively) unaffected.

Israel is not 'bombing its way to peace'. It is bombing its way into domination, or least trying to, and so far it appears, sadly, to be working out better for them than the others.

"We can send troops to Lebanon to fight against Israel, as we did in 1981," he added.

However, Israel can not kill its way to peace.

Yeah, I don't think Israel is shopping for peace. This war against Hamas/Palestine and HZB is probably an even bigger grift than the operation in Ukraine. Also, HZB has confirmed that Nasrallah is dead.

The exploding pager attack was aimed at medium level members on the civilian side of Hizbullah.
The exploding walkie-talkies attack was aimed and rank and file military operatives.
Several strikes were aimed at senior commanders.
Bombing runs in South Lebanon and the Bekaa valley targeted missile infrastructure.
A strike aimed to kill Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The fact that Israel has been able to inflict this much damage on HZB in the space of a week and some change tells me that HZB has serious security issues. Mossad cannot have collected all of the actionable intel that led to these strikes in Lebanon without more than a few informants on the inside of HZB.

Decapitation attacks are perfectly logical from within the Idealist philosophical conception of reality. Unlike in the Historical Materialist philosophy, in which material conditions in the material world drive historical processes, those with Idealist views see history as being driven by key individuals. For the Idealists, destruction of a few key individuals can alter the overall arc and course of history. For Materialists, assassination only changes the names in history books, not the overall course of history. Assassinating Hitler in 1930 would not have prevented WWII, for example. In a sense, from the Materialist perspective, material conditions in the world provide for positions that can be occupied by individuals; "slots" in the process that can be filled by personalities. You can eliminate the individual in that slot, but the slot remains and will be filled again until material conditions change.

Note: "Materialist" above (note the capitalization) refers to materialism in its philosophical sense of belief that the universe if composed of matter (and energy, of course), and that ideas are emergent properties of physical, material brains. There are many who may not be able to separate that from the crude, simple-minded, and vulgar common definition of "materialism" as being a synonym for avarice. "Materialism" in the philosophical sense is the polar opposite of "Idealism", in which the material universe is considered an emergent property of human (often just the believer's own) thoughts. "I think, therefore I am!", and thus, in the perspective of the Idealist, the entire rest of the universe has no existence independent of the Idealist's own ruminations.

To me, philosophical Idealism reeks of infantile narcissism. How alienated from reality must one be to assign primacy over the universe to one's own notions and wishes?

In any case, assassination is the tool of the "Idealist" and has no place in the work of the "Materialist". The West is currently led by such "Idealists". Where else do such notions as men being able to literally transform into women by wanting it, or ignorant fools being able to transform into skilled engineers from simply being gifted a diploma, comes from? As such, you can be certain there are plans in the Empire for the assassination of world leaders like Putin and Xi.

But as my dear ol` grandma used to say, "Wish in one hand, shit in the other, and see which one fills up first." Idealists exist in a state of constant frustration as the universe stubbornly refuses to conform to their delusions or respond to their wishes. The assassination of Nasrallah isn't going to bend the arc of history in their favor. All the Idealists have for their efforts is the demented and ghoulish joy over the death of a man.

Where was the UN, or for that matter, the rest of the world, for the past eleven months as Hezbollah was sending rockets into Israeli population centers? Hmmmm?

They say only now that they want a cease fire in Lebanon, but where were any of these voices when the killing of Jews was the only inconsequential issue on the table? How might the Americans, Russians, or Chinese have responded had their own sovereign territory been attacked by a foreign army as Hezbollah and Hamas have done?...[Hint: In Russia’s case, we are getting a glimpse of how they might act.]

Let this latest Middle East war without mercy go on to its natural conclusion. Both the Israelis and the Gaza Palestinians, as well as the Lebanese Muslims deserve the clarity that only decisive victory and unconditional defeat can offer. Good luck and best wishes to all concerned.

There continue to be posters here who post insightful comments, and posters who present information that may not be easy for others to get, and posters who make useful summaries of historical events. However, it seems to me, that these posts receive relatively little attention from other barflies, while interaction with obvious trolls is very high. Some of that, of course, is trolls feeding trolls, sock puppets feeding sock puppets, but most of it seems to come from reasonably 'respectable' posters. Are these respectable barflies incapable of comment on the constructive posts? Are they incapable of understanding how the trolls win when they dominate the information space with nonsense? Are they incapable of understanding how they are enabling the trolls? Or are they just too immature to resist the temptation to answer them with middle-school level vituperation?

Try to exercise a little bit of communications discipline, barflies. Too many of you engage the enemy in the manner of his choosing. Too many of you shit in your own bed. Cut it the fuck out.

The main cities of Israel are now under permanent bombardment.

Ashkelon, Tel Aviv, Haifa.

To make this stop, with or without the Hezbollah leadership, Israel will have to invade Hezbollah and go tunnel by tunnel across all of Southern Lebanon (to begin with).

If this is not stopped, it will continue for months, no matter how many bunker busting bombs Israel saturates Lebanon with.

If it continues for months, Israel will be tossed into the dustbin of history - where it belongs.

Tedious, but true. This is not the end, nor is it the beginning of the end, but it is, perhaps the end of the beginning. Israel will yet rue the day when she let Netanyahu lead the country instead of placing his delirious butt on the floor of an Israeli prison.

You people hoping for Russian intervention in the ME are probably barking up the wrong tree:

https://korybko.substack.com/p/lavrov-reminded-the-world-that-russia

Like most countries, Russia is run by gangsters. The big difference between Putin and his cronies, and the thugs running the "free" world, is that the former seem content on running their own fiefs, whereas the latter are expansionist to the point of insanity.

Having said that... I don't think Russia will want to see the balance of power in MENA further destabilised in Israel's (ie ZATO's) favour. So I would expect them to start bolstering Assad a lot more. The consequences of arming the Houthis just seems too unpredictable for the step-by-step methodical Putin, but I can see Iran doing it... assuming they can smuggle the weapons past ZATO's blockades.

As for Lebanon... that seems a lost cause. Although many of the population clearly support Hizbullah, many do not, and this presents an intractable problem for any anti-Israel forces in that country. Besides the usual Arab incompetence, they also clearly riddled with spies.

That the Lebanese army is not lifting a finger to defend Beirut from Israeli bombers is just more evidence that Lebanese society is far too riven to resist ZATO's divide et empira tactics.

PS - for those who think Israel's faltering economy is going to be a major problem for them, remember that they can rely on the Western taxpayer to make them whole. As long as there are Zionists willing to slaughter anyone who resists them - and as long as Western electorates are too apathetic to change their "leadership" - I anticipate Israel will continue its expansion until the West implodes from internal divisions and its unsustainable debt-based monetary system.

But we shall see. Interesting times for people who ponder geopolitics and the machinations of "our" psychopathic leaders.
