The most obvious, and less sensationalist, explanation is that the majority of the UA are made up of in-house hastily taught conscripts, or worse, conscripts who’ve been hastily trained by NATO personnel*. These troops are ok with the Shoot part of the infantry triad, passable with the Communicate part, but typically poor on the Move part. This means when they occupy fixed defences, especially fortifications, they do a passable job at preventing breakthroughs, or at least delaying them and causing attrition on the attacking force. Obstacle belts, prepared arcs and boundaries, and pre-registered target points for area fire (both direct and indirect), go a long way to mitigating the weaknesses inherent in such troops.
Remove this support though and things start to go down hill rapidly. Without pre-prepared positions and having to conduct a hasty defence all aspects of the Shoot, Move, Communicate deteriorate, a situation readily exploited by skilled attackers, who soon bypass fixed positions, capitalise on the relatively static nature of the defence and inflict higher than average casualties. This situation is exacerbated by the conscript command elements, at all levels, being quickly over-whelmed and reaching task-saturation, leading to three of the Four F’s (Flight, Freeze and Fumble or Faff).
There are, of course, exceptions, often forged in the heat of battle, but these normally just delay the inevitable and are unable to change the increasingly defeatist outlook these units often adopt, as they are ejected out of one defence line after another.
*Western infantry tactics rely on specific training requirements to be met, covering a wide range of skills and proficiencies, trying to speed up the process will inevitably result in troops who are less capable overall than those who had the most basic training focusing on very few pro cedures.

In the past 2 million years the earth has had 17 ice ages-once every 100,000 years or so. This is because of the slight wobble in the earth’s orbit.

Late October (very early November) or February were the extrapolations from protest dates to end using WWI as a basis. You might remember my mentioning that.
As an added bonus the AFU will be hard pressed to hold even the river line without conscripting the under 20s ASAP
