Well, here was I thinking that the ousted PM of Bangladesh – Sheikh Hasina, was removed from office by the people, because of legacy jobs given to ancestors of those who fought for Bangladesh.
The real reason – Sheikh Hasina was removed from the PM position of Bangladesh, is because, she wouldn’t cede the island of St Martin in the Bay of Bengal – to the USA.
The USA wanted the island to set up an airbase – to one keep and eye on India, and two – to have air control over the Bay of Bengal – and to also have a quick response time towards the Straits of Malacca – a major shipping route used by China.

As Ray McGovern says, the mentality that Russia and China will be at each other’s throats is about 40 years out of date at this point.
China has a Revitalize the Northeast Movement listed in their five year plans.
Why? Because there is lots of heavy industry there but the population is leaving and seeking greener pastures due to the very cold winters.
So they are currently struggling to maintain the population there and encourage people to move and stay and somehow people like Tucker Carlson think they will go out and grab chunks of Siberia which is less developed and even colder and less likely for Chinese to want to live there? Besides, the border issues were settled years ago, only India has refused to settle with China as China has resolved border issues with all of its other neighbours

Well, here was I thinking that the ousted PM of Bangladesh – Sheikh Hasina, was removed from office by the people, because of legacy jobs given to ancestors of those who fought for Bangladesh.
The real reason – Sheikh Hasina was removed from the PM position of Bangladesh, is because, she wouldn’t cede the island of St Martin in the Bay of Bengal – to the USA.
The USA wanted the island to set up an airbase – to one keep and eye on India, and two – to have air control over the Bay of Bengal – and to also have a quick response time towards the Straits of Malacca – a major shipping route used by China.

I don’t find anything wrong at all about using quotes, they are just short-hand for saying something like ‘so called’ or ‘commonly known as’ or even ‘dubiously labelled’. Clearly, when they are used in a cynical or snide way to directly attack someone, as in “your ‘concern’ ” or ‘reasoning’ they take on a very unsavoury character. Not unlike the lower east side hustlers of Polish descent that someone once tried to introduce me to on a thread that was created specifically to discuss negative facets of US intervention that appeared to interfere with the very existance of an Islamic and Christian foreign people .
