So idf looking to recall 10k reservists. Might this suggest they’ve had 10k casualties? Or, perhaps, they now realize they need a bigger army? If so, is it for Hezbollah, Hamas or both? Either way it’s not a good sign.
What will the under 50 reservists do? Jump in or out? Will they be allowed on a plane? Will there be room, given just about the only option just now is el Al?
And the us armada… how long will they hang around waiting for the big one from Iran, which might be waiting for the new pres to settle in? Iran seems more patient than israel or bar flies.

Thinking about this conflict in the mideast, the genocide in Palestine. The axis of resistance is holding back and rather than saying Iran should do this or Hezbollah should do that ect, I think about the reason behind this.
Russia China and the Iran centered axis of resistance are all in agreement that the US is the enemy to be defeated. Russia China and the Iran grouping I believe all discuss strategy, de-conflict and coordinate strategies.
I think Iran will strike in response to the recent assassination but it will be in line with this larger strategy.
But overall, I suspect that elements in the US, perhaps/no doubt along with the Israelis require a Pearl Harbour. The US requires a much larger volunteer army to go to war in the middle east.
Americans have a Pearl Harbor culture. In 99 in a senate hearing, there was something about requiring a Pearl Harbor to take Americans to war again. That was achieved with the destruction of the twin towers – bringing in large numbers to enlist.
Nutty invoked Pearl Harbor 9/11 on Oct 7 ….
Perhaps that will turn out not to be correct but just my thought at the moment on the situation there.

Arch – haven’t been keeping track of the APCs – however, since the IDF has dragged out of mothballs their ancient M113s, one can speculate that the Narmer APCs are in short supply. A few weeks ago, the resistance seemed to be ignoring MBTs and focusing on the APC/IFVs. It was grim seeing these lightly armored vehicles likely filled with Infrantry getting throughly destroyed….over and over again. Another tell on the APC question; is a few days ago combat footage showed 2 thin skinned vehicles with IDF scurrying about. A second incident captured on video was a column of thin skinned vehicles – 2 of which got wacked with Infrantry inside.
As for the D9 bulldozers, my guess is the half life of an IDF D9 bulldozer operator is measured in hours. The D9s are easy targets, a handful getting wacked every day.

Note, these are not reservists. They were released from reservist duty a few years ago. Likely when they turned 40 or 45. They are only conscripting these 49 year olds if they are “specialists”

I can’t! “Trotkyism” seems to have been a code word for a long time. In my experience, it is often used when people need a stronger invective (or so they think) than just “socialist” or “communist”.
On the other hand, I’ve seen serious attempts at painting certain important neo-convervatives as former Trotskyists. This comes from a different angle, the one where Trotsky and his followers are seen as a divisionary force inside the communist bloc.

Because I’ve no Islamic or Muslim knowledge, I was curious & I did appreciate reading the account of Khaybar and the gravity of the recollection and relevance of this battle.
All the letters in the thread were worth a read. But I also could not help but sense, that Gaza the Gaza resistance groups in the strip, and those pockets in West Bank, are beginning to wear down, and need land-ground assistance.
I’m certain through the tunnels they are rotated in and out, and added foot soldiers as trained and able. But guessing above ground resources (water, fuel, food) are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain resistance stability, as well as the every 12-18 hours of late being made to “re-locate”.
