Hundreds of protesters broke into Sde Taiman along with several right-wing protesters. They have been attacking soldiers and journalists and undermining the rule of law.
Some of the individuals who broke in were masked and heavily armed. Though they have not used those weapons.

Some of you have probably already heard about the events in Sde Teiman concentration camp today: MPs came to arrest soldiers suspected of sodomizing a Palestinian captive, the soldiers in the base revolted, refused to leave and threatened to take active action against the MPs.
The idea of any soldier getting arrested for anything done to a Palestinian is incomprehensible to Israelis these days (even though the investigations are all cover-ups for the ICJ/ICC anyway), so the events caused a big outrage. Right-winger reservist soldiers and members of government arrived at Sde Teiman to try and thwart the arrests.
In this clip we see Likud Member of Knesset Hanoch Milwidsky announcing a “voting strike” in response to the attempts to arrest the rapist soldiers.

About this thing with the berserk and extremely mentally ill who are trying to protect the IDF soldiers who are accused of raping the prisoner, I can only say two things – I suspect every fucking guard at the prisons either participates in this activity or approves of it, and we already know for sure it has not happened to only one prisoner.
The other thing I would say is that my main concern at this point is for the Palestinian prisoners being held in the prisons. This rabble of psychotic madmen (and I would guess madwomen) are likely to try to break into the prisons and take their anger out on the Palestinians inside. I am sure they are already being treated worse than ever by the guards right this very minute, as the guards will take some some kind of sick revenge out on the prisoners.
Do you suppose any Israeli will see to it that the prisoners are not further abused? Do you think the prisoners are even being fed right now?
My thoughts right now are only for the Palestinians and constantly for the Palestinians.

This piece from Mondoweiss yesterday is a must read. The “ordinary Israelis” he refers to in the article are the grunts of the IOF, fair enough, but I think the indictment is much broader. From the polls I’ve seen, which unfortunately I don’t have links for at this moment (anyone who does, please post them), more than two-thirds of the Israeli public (I.e., not immediate combatants) are completely behind the genocidal actions.
