IAF attack helicopter pilots recount operations on October 7 in detailYnetnews

One of them had a trailer attached to a tractor carrying nine hostages from the kibbutz toward Gaza. I don’t know what the pilot could see from the air, but he opened fire at the tractor and hit the terrorists, but one of the hostages, Efrat Katz, was hit and killed by the fire.
… This order continues. “Enemy forces must not be allowed to retreat into Gazan territory and any such attempt must be stopped at any cost.” Another part of the order reads: “There must be no passage into Israeli territory and citizens must not be allowed to enter the area in the Gaza Strip.” Did this constitute a hint at the Hannibal Directive, i.e. the possibility of also hitting hostages?

Ilan Pappé – The Collapse of ZionismNLR
We are witnessing a historical process – or, more accurately, the beginnings of one – that is likely to culminate in the downfall of Zionism. And, if my diagnosis is correct, then we are also entering a particularly dangerous conjuncture. For once Israel realizes the magnitude of the crisis, it will unleash ferocious and uninhibited force to try to contain it, as did the South African apartheid regime during its final days.

An Annihilation Discourse Has Taken Over Israel (archived) – Haaretz
Calls for Israel to launch a nuclear attack on Iran by historian Benny Morris and many others, including those on the left, is the continuation of a strategy of vengeance that would destroy everything. We must take to the streets and protest, while we still can

Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups today (again) firmly reject ideas and plans for any kind of international force in Gaza and affirm that it is solely the Palestinian people that will determine their own future.

The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:
16 You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.
17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.
18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.
20 The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.

Regarding Israel and the US political situation… One thing that has come out of reporting on Biden’s post debate existence is that the Biden family itself is desperately trying to hold onto power, encouraging Biden to stay in the race. There are some Neocons in his “inner circle” like Blinken, McGuirk, etc., but even the bourgeois media is saying that this circle is mostly made out of Jill Biden and the Biden family clan. NBC reported that, after the debate, HUNTER Biden is emerging as the one whose opinion Biden values the most.
That is terrifying in itself. But add this: after all the ups and downs in Hunter Biden’s life, the drugs, sex, guns, corruption, etc., he has now settled down in his latest marriage and declared himself an artist. Who did he marry? Melissa Cohen, a South African Jewish woman. She is not from a wealthy or powerful family so far as I know, but even if she’s just a regular rah-rah-Israel Jewish Zionist, this is scary to think about. Hunter Biden converted to Judaism after marrying her. Imagine if the US’s repulsive policy with respect to Israel is being determined, at least in part, by the latest woman that Hunter Biden happened to marry.

Always interesting to hear the big talkers. Yes Iran the big holy grail for Zionists. Must be defeated , the title “which path to Persia ” says it all. 9 months and struggling in Gaza and hezbollah look out of their league. Anyone with nukes and the others without seems to be able to win a nuke war. Dur. Just from the first strike damage . I think putin stated in trilateral meetings with USA and Israel that Iran is under Russia’s nuclear umbrella back in 2018 and again in 2019. Maybe ehud Barack should stick to raping little kids on Epstein Island and his other dodgy businesses.
Israel it seems feels it has to bomb UN food warehouses still, killing UN workers to prove its a tough manly fighting force.

Tom Pfotzer@93 wrote “The point of my post was to set out the direction and intent of that policy, and to show that the policy’s proponents are strategically and continuously installed at key control points in the U.S. (and UK) government, and that those policies have the intent to control the world’s polity and resources, and to achieve the religious goals of the Judeo-Christian Zionists.” Jewish Zionists have different goals than Christian Zionists. Amalgamating them with a hyphen is typing, not reality. Various individuals may be driven by “religious goals,” but the system as a whole is not. As an institution, religion varies so much it is fundamentally absurd, idealist, ahistorical or transhistorical, imagined, propagandistic, every thing but a long run objective interest that can motivate a large group of people across generations. Every religious person understands their religion and its goals in terms of their life experiences, which invariably includes some degree of material interests Those material interests by the way may be personally relatively selfless, depending on their individual empathy and generosity—but others will interpret their religion in the most cynical way possible, and these people tend to cancel each other out. The religious goals keep changing and that renders invocation of religious goals meaningless as genuine explanation. That last clause destroys your point in my judgment.

These pieces about Obama , Barzani and ISIS are common knowledge, but it’s good to see it confirmed in print.
These USUKIS terrorists are now chilling while Palestine starved.
They are a busted flush that can only be returned to service outside West Asia where USUKIS barbarity is public knowledge. Their places in Hell are already prepared for helping USUKIS carve out a Greater Israel by killing and evicting Sunni Muslims in Libya , Syria, Iraq and Africa.
For very obvious reasons USUKIS proxy murderers cannot be deployed fighting openly for Israel.

BAN ISRAEL FROM THE OLYMPICS

Posted by: scanalyse | Jul 6 2024 13:16 utc | 112

OK. Posted.

To the International Olympic Committee:
“As citizens from across the world, we call on you to ban Israel from the Olympic Games until their government ceases its assault on innocent civilians in Gaza.”
More information:
Next month, the world will turn its eyes to the Olympics in Paris.
36,000 of those who could be watching with us from Gaza are dead. Children who once dreamed of competing have had their limbs torn from them.
And unless something changes, the Israeli government will still be bombing Gaza as athletes compete in its name. Israel has just announced its willingness to continue the war for seven more months.
As the world comes together for the Olympics, we have the chance to send a message that mass killing of civilians will not be tolerated by the global community. Pressure is building for a plan that would see Israeli athletes compete – just not under Israel’s flag.
The Olympic committee meets in days: let’s be one million voices demanding that Israel be banned until its government stops the assault on Palestinian lives and ends the apartheid.

I see your last post as a distinction without a practical difference.
Zionists want control over Palestine, whatever their personal rationale, or particular off-shoot of theology / eschatology. There’s enough in common among many Israel-supporters – enough religious overlap, as to produce coherent, long-term behavior – at almost any cost – to get control over Palestine.
Here in the U.S., neither major branch of Zionists – Jewish or Christian – can get that job done alone. Together, they nearly – I said “nearly” have.
The next few chapters of the story, as I said, will be a decisive, world-wide (not just in Palestine) setback, possibly a long-term one, for the Zionists of all stripes.
That last sentence is my thesis. If you want to disprove it, focus on it, and not the minor issues e.g. “what are all the stripes of Zionism”.
Which stripes, and what constitutes a stripe isn’t that relevant; the stripes are collaborating so well, they have to have a great deal in common.

It is supreme arrogance on the part of the Ukrainian Nazi Zionists in government to think that because they want something terrible to happen, against the wishes of the majority of Jews in Israel and Jews in the world and all non-Jews in the world and against Allah, that a quorum has been formed for eliminating the Palestinians and anybody who stands in their way.
This is pure Fascism and may cause a world War in which Israel will definitely, like Hitler, lose.
It took only one blast and they ceased to exist, as if they had never existed.

Regarding Pezeshkian, The Cradle’s Fereshteh Sadeghi wrote that he “represents the faction that seeks to mend ties with the west, revive the 2015 nuclear deal, and even establish relations with the US.”
“This mindset advocates a free market, minimizing the role of , and criticizes Iran’s “look east” foreign policy and its growing influence in West Asia and North Africa,” she added.

The President of Iran is a political figurehead with limited powers dealing mostly with governmental issues over the population.
The true power in Iran is the Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.Who is the Commander in Chief of all Iran’s armed forces, and determines the political direction of the government.

@B:
Illan Pappé’s view on what happened in South Africa (SA) is wrong. The government of SA already in the 1980s knew that the Apartheid system couldn’t be sustained in the long run and had to be ended. However, there was one MAJOR reason that blocked the transition away from the Apartheid system. The Soviet Union supported a number of “resistance groups” / (in) countries north of SA.
The demise of the Soviet Union meant that soviet support for those states / those “resistence groups” also disappeared. This opened the road for SA to get rid of the “Apartheid system” and Nelson Mandela to become the president of SA in the 1st half of the 1990s. And the transition in SA happened actually with very little bloodshed (if any at all).
But the government in Israel doesn’t show any signs of any willingness to go down “without a fight”. Like with Iran, Israel seems to be very determined /(desparate ???) to drag the US into the war with Lebanon / Hezbollah. But as with the isralei attack on the iranian consulate / embassy in Damascus, the US doesn’t seem to be willing to choose the side of Israel and support Israel.
In that regard the US seems to be willingly to support Israel but not “to the hilt”. In that regard Israel (more and more) looks like a child that never has been told “NO” and now is finding out that his parents are suddenly telling this child (Israel) “NO, don’t do that”. But the israeli government still has to come to terms to the changing reality of the situation on the ground.

ZH has a posting up with the title
Hamas Drops Key Demand, Making Gaza Ceasefire Deal Closer Than Ever
The quote

The below fresh report from The Times of Israel suggests Hamas may have just dropped a major demand which had previously thwarted any progress. From the start of negotiations, Hamas leaders have conditioned peace on an Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) total withdrawal from the Gaza Strip:

Hamas has given initial approval for a US-backed proposal for a phased truce and hostage exchange deal in Gaza, dropping a key demand that Israel give an up-front commitment for a complete end to the war, a Hamas and an Egyptian official said Saturday.
At the same time, a key stumbling block appeared to be Hamas’s desire for “written guarantees” from mediators that Israel will continue to negotiate a permanent ceasefire deal once the first phase of a ceasefire goes into effect.
The Hamas representative told The Associated Press the group’s approval came after it received “verbal commitments and guarantees” from mediators that the war won’t be resumed and that negotiations will continue until a permanent ceasefire is reached.

The report stresses that “Hamas says it dropped demand Israel vow up-front to end war, but wants mediators’ guarantees.” If true this could prove a major opening, given PM Netanyahu had long focused on this specific demand as being a non-starter, making progress in talks impossible.
If a deal is achieved, it could result in the first full ceasefire of the conflict. According to diplomatic sources involved:

The Hamas and Egyptian officials, who spoke on conditions of anonymity to discuss the ongoing negotiations, said Washington’s phased deal will first include a “full and complete” six-week ceasefire that would see the release of a number of hostages, including women, the elderly, and the wounded, in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. During these 42 days, Israeli forces would also withdraw from densely populated areas of Gaza and allow the return of displaced people to their homes in northern Gaza, the pair said.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
