Awesome, not too sure fragile is the correct adjective. Why does that matter to people? It’s so much a part of the Deep State that it will no doubt be required on all computers in the USA. Posted by: malenkov | Jul 21 2024 23:37 utc | 305 Melaleuca @ 298
The only people voting for Harris will be party stalwarts and people with TDS – that’s it, is that 50.1%? Abstentions will be high, but on the left, Democrats in the neoliberal era only win if they get a large youth turn out. The democrats are toast, hopefully the entire party will have to be rebuilt, but it won’t. Posted by: LightYearsFromHome | Jul 21 2024 23:39 utc | 306 Question: Is there any significant to be noted from the fact that Biden’s resignation letter does not have the seal of the US or Presidents office? Probably because it wasn’t an official government act. It was a private act. Campaigns are, nominally, separated from the duties of the presidency. Also, he didn’t resign, he withdrew from the Democratic Party nomination process Posted by: James M. | Jul 21 2024 23:47 utc | 309 @LightYearsFromHome | Sun, 21 Jul 2024 23:39:00 GMT | 305
There are many, many Americans that absolutely dislike Trump. It’s likely he will lose the “popular vote” again. But that doesn’t matter. All that matters is the electoral college, and there it’s the battleground states. Trump’s path to 270 narrows when he is opposed by any Democrat other than Biden. Why does that matter to people? Posted by: Archetypex | Jul 22 2024 0:02 utc | 314 Does Joe Biden even know he has dropped out of the race? Really – a man who mistakes the President of Russia for the President of Ukraine; who thinks his opponent in the US Presidential race is also his own Vice-President – is supposed to have known exactly what it was he was signing just hours after his campaign manager said Biden was committed to staying in the race? It does matter, the system’s legitimacy only functions with the sacrament that every election is a validation of the democracy. This is why the system incorporated Trump this time around, it had too. That would be the cold hard calculation that doomed Biden. I need to look for an electoral college map but predictions have been worthless recently, beside having proved corrupt like Nate Silver 538 but also equally incompetent – everything is just part of the neoliberal miasma, the crapification of everything, hells, event the assassination attempt on Trump was crapified, both the attempt and his protection! First impressions, looks, mannerisms, body language are all important to people in determining trust. Good-looking people are more easily trusted than unattractive people. Sad commentary, but true. And it’s not that good-looking people are more trustworthy, but that people want to trust them more. The cheating is done on a county level, finely targeted and easily hidden, with the all or nothing electoral college it’s not hard to steal an election if you have a granular enough read, just a few well placed hits where necessary, won’t work with a sweep but will for a close election. Who knows maybe they have the county level bulwarks against Trump carefully worked out, the fix is in and they need to replace Biden to make the fix seem believable as no one wants to vote for zombie Joe. No further words on how the above will be achieved. From personal experience, i would say that here the project is already doomed to fail. Even if there were ‘digital employees’, as in some form of system mimicking a meatsack – there rarely are processes in place and ressources available for things such as ‘secure onboarding’, ‘training’, ‘assigned goals’. Usually there isn’t even ‘appropriate system access’ for weeks to come when starting a new job.
Delusional. Behemoth like MS, alphabet, amazon or meta play in completely different leagues than some rando HR service provider. As such, their motives to research and push ‘AI’ are completely different. Posted by: kspr | Jul 22 2024 7:43 utc | 383 UWDude @ 348

To my knowledge, we haven’t heard one word directly out of Biden’s mouth since his Covid diagnosis. Biden’s decline, though it started before his presidency, has been alarmingly precipitous lately. Many folks have witnessed sudden falls like this in our own families. The first question I’d suggest for Zakharova’s investigation: Is the president still alive?

Yes, but Biden is brain damaged, so a poor comparison. Trump has always spouted nonsense, some as manipulation some he believes himself, but he’s not out right incoherent, granted men get to hide their idiocies behind bloviating which doesn’t play well for the fairer sex. Word salad is sadly something modern women do, it’s where the term airhead comes from. Admittedly, there are now male airheads, see “Zoolander”. Somehow that’s appealing to the woke agenda, some sort of the weakening of the mind. Posted by: LightYearsFromHome | Jul 22 2024 8:58 utc | 392 They’ll find a way to get along. Hillary’s too toxic, too old, don’t worry won’t happen, but she’ll be prominent behind the scenes in a Harris administration, worry about that.
