Moon of Alabama Brecht quote

Israel Might Well Fall Apart

A somewhat premature comment on the conflict between the Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant and Minister of National Security (and convicted radical) Itamar Ben-Gvir:

10:36 AM · Jul 30, 2024 Hussein @EyesOnSouth1 – 10:36 AM · Jul 30, 2024

The disintegration of the Zionist society is happening earlier than expected. This will exacerbate the more Israelis become aware that war failure is inevitable. Civil war is very likely, but almost a third of the population (liberals & affiliates) would leave rather than fight.

This is not a clash between two officials, this is an ideological clash between two schools of thought who are at the complete opposite spectrum.

This will not stay between Ben-Gvir & Gallant/Halevi, it will become a conflict between the army and the police/militias.

The current conflict between Gallant and Ben-Gvir comes after the Military Police arrested nine soldiers accused of raping a Palestinian prisoner.

The Israeli investigation of the rape became necessary after reports by CNN, the New York Times (archived) and the Washington Post (archived) about prisoner abuse and murder in Israeli jails. The reports threatened to trigger international investigations:

Judicial officials told Ynet that the serious suspicions must be investigated. "An internal Israeli investigation is better than an international probe," the said.

"Abuse of prisoners could cause unprecedented damage internationally. Internal investigations protect Israel from the International tribunals in the Hague. If we do not investigate, we are ensuring the political and military leaders end up before those courts and Israel subjected to grave steps. The suspects were detained for questioning and not arrested. They will receive a fair and just due process."

Lawyers for the suspected reservists denied the accusations of rape and said the prisoner refused a search when he was moved to the Sde Teiman facility and was restrained by force.

To describe a brutal anal gang rape as "restrain by force" requires some chutzpah.

The arrest of the the rapists led to wild scenes at two Israeli military bases:

Israel experienced hours of chaos on Monday after far-right protesters encouraged by ultranationalist politicians from the governing coalition broke into a military base where Hamas militants are detained and another base hosting the Israel Defense Forces military court.

The incidents began when Israel Defense Forces (IDF) military police on Monday detained nine reservists who served in the "Force 100" unit at the "Sde Teiman" military base. Sde Teiman was used as a detention facility for Hamas militants involved in the Oct. 7 attacks, and suspects arrested by the IDF in Gaza have also been brought to the base for questioning.

The protesters then moved to another military base 30 minutes north of Tel Aviv that hosts military police headquarters, an IDF detention center and the IDF court. They broke into the court and tried breaking into the detention center to release the reservists.

The chaotic incidents indicate how much ultranationalists in Israel have been emboldened under Netanyahu's governments, especially after Oct. 7.

It is also a sign of the disintegration of the IDF chain of command and the military's internal law and order, encouraged by ultranationalist politicians who for years called the military a "liberal" institution and said it was part of a "deep state" that needs to be dismantled.

The police, under command of Be-Gvir, did not intervene in the attacks on the military bases.

It will be interesting to see how the conflict plays out if or when the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahoo orders an attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon:

Israeli ministers authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his defense chief Sunday to decide on the “manner and timing” of a response to a rocket strike in the Golan Heights that killed 12 children and teens, and which Israel and the United States blamed on Lebanese terror group Hezbollah.

Members of the Druze community held funerals Sunday for 11 of the 12 young victims of the strike on a soccer field in the town of Majdal Shams, amid fury and grief over the tragedy, which occurred just steps from a bomb shelter, and already sky-high tensions sparked by 10 months of nearly daily rocket attacks on northern Israel and tit-for-tat strikes in southern Lebanon.

The killed children where Syrian Druze in the Syrian Golan Height which is illegally occupied by Israel. It is doubtful that a Hizbullah missile would have intentionally targeted that community.

Any Israeli attack on Lebanon and Hizbullah will see an equivalent retaliation from the Resistance side. Netanyahoo will be careful. While under pressure from the right to attack Hizbullah Netanyahoo knows that Israel has no chance to win against it in a larger conflict.

Such a conflict would only accelerate the inevitable dissolution of the colonial entity.

True, but that’s more a commentary about prisoner-on-prisoner rapes in the US prison system. Granted, there is probably plenty of guard-on-prisoner rape, but there also seems to be a lot of allegedly consensual sex between prisoner and guard as well. If I understand the situation in Isra-Hell correctly, we’re talking about sanctioned guard-on-prisoner rape and even such rapes being conducted as quasi-official policy.

“I’m rightfully accused here for being “simplistic” True, I’m not an educated deep thinker.
So my simplistic answer to open civil war, is when the masses look in the mirror, and are tired of the reflection they see. Tired enough, to change it. Tired enough to sacrifice to change it.
But more likely, when given severe humility lesson by foreign nations that have had enough and their daily life becomes uncomfortable.
A “civil war”… is hardly the answer. It only benefits the controllers. No one else.”

Now I feel like I’m losing my mind, lol. Several years ago I distinctly remember reading a book which stated that. I remember googling & confirming it, lol. So much for my king term memory!
Now I look it up & of course you are correct; it always went to omega.
Regardless, Jesus spoke aramaic & Hebrew, therefore would have said “alef & tao” (tau/tav), not “alpha & omega”. My guess us it got changed in translation to Greek.
I have seen tables if aramaic showing it starting & ending the same as Hebrew (which it grew out of), but can’t find them now…
https://study.com/academy/lesson/hebrew-alphabet-overview-chart.html
Biblical Hebrew starts with alef & ends with tau/tao/tav (I’ve seen the 3 spellings in different places).

How Israel willy nilly is allowed to just go bomb anything, anywhere to “eliminate a commander” somewhere and the U.S. passes it off to their citizens as though this is just normal warfare, is astonishing.

I’m not sure Israel can survive the mess it’s making. Any internal divisions could be disastrous.
Tel Aviv baiting Hezbollah with today’s strike is idiotic. It’s not the behavior of a nation playing from a position of strength. It is in no position to actually fight Hezbollah, even without axis of resistance forces streaming into Lebanon to get a piece of the IDF. It would require massive US assistance, perhaps even ground forces. The US cannot let Israel fail.
That means the end of any US presence in Iraq and Syria because those are pretty easy pickings. In fact, I would argue all those bases have to be evacuated before the US could be involved in a Lebanon war. I doubt the U.S. can sustain the current level of support for Ukraine (especially intelligence) and increase support for Israel.
I’m not convinced Erdogan can be made to sit on just one chair, but this is the sort of scenario that would do it and that rhetoric is pretty heated already. Can NATO survive Turkiye and Israel in conflict (even if mostly proxy on Turkiye’s part)?
And all the while Israel is showing signs of coming apart at the seams. It’s not like the domestic political scene was stable before 7/10.
I see a possible, though not yet probable, scenario where the US empire is in absolute disarray. Perhaps by Election Day but by Inauguration Day being more likely. It’s a scenario where the people making decisions need to play everything just right. Between the incompetence in DC and the shit eating crazy of Tel Aviv and Kiev, the probability of playing everything just right is very low.

When they did not ban israel from the olympics games. All and I mean ALL of their athletes are part of the iof and one was photographed just days ago signing bombs headed to decapitate starving toddlers with the words “my pleasure”.
Also no need to normalize something that is already normal for france and most other western countries. After all historically france literally took time off from fending the nazi invasions and sent war planes to double tap crowds of peaceful protesting civilians in their colonies. Double tap bombing means turning a crowd of civilians into ground meat and then waiting hours or a day for when families turn up to gather whatever entrails are left of their families to bomb then again.

I feel stupid and ashamed. In May, an expose came out on CNN detailing the abuses in Sde Taiman. Then, the NYT released their own article on it. Both were backed up with Israeli sources, crossed with Palestinian ones.
I dismissed them because my government sources and Israeli media denied them. My whole life I was told that the international media was out to get Israel. That they were all antisemites.
But today, I realized how much I was lied to. By my country. By my friends. By my media. Today, many of the people I talked to who denied these allegations admitted they were true.
And the worst part? None of this is coming to light because the IDF and government have changed their hearts about it. Its coming out because the pressure from the UK, ICC and ICJ was getting too great to ignore. This would get Netanyahu, Gallant and the Chief of Staff in serious trouble. So they finally said the truth. That Israel is routinely torturing inmates. That sexual abuse is fairly common there. That people have been tortured to death.
Worst of all, many of the people in this facility were innocent. Rounded up by accident. But there was no real verification process before they were subjected to this hell on earth.
This can’t go on.

Rick Wiles on TruNews 7/29/2024 talked about the killing of 12 “Jewish children” in Golan Heights, by “Hezbollah.”
He showed a screenshot of a BBC photo of ‘men in white with red hats’ surrounding a coffin.
Not yarmulkes, distinctive white hats with a red circle top — google “Druze men’s headdress, there’s a photo.
I need to stop tuning in to TruNews. It is causing me to lose whatever good opinion I have of Christianity and its preachers: those like Wiles (to the extent he is not a charlatan exploiting a tax exempt status) are the problem, not the solution.
Amy Goodman at Democracy Now made the same claim: “Hezbollah rocket killed Jewish children on Golan Heights.”
But Jacques Baud spent almost 2 hours unwinding the entire history, and his analysis of why it was not likely that Hezbollah fired the rockets, certainly not intentionally, probably not even accidentally since 1. Hez. aims only at military targets; 2. If Hez. accidentally hits civilians, they apologize. It’s a pattern. Israel has a different pattern: Israel lies; Israel sets off false-flags with goal of stirring up a (contrived) casus belli.
Baud is Swiss; worked at UN. Neither hysteria nor bias in his informative history and analysis.

@Karlof1
“Absolutely 100% correct, but a reality that continues to remain hidden for those with the armed might to alter the situation. Or perhaps they do see that reality but refuse to act for some unknown reasons that can only be speculated upon.”
Lessons have been learned Karlof1, the thugs are also organised and diligent. Many previous battles have turned into a humiliation and a rout. From my view the only powers able to openly confront western direction are Russia, possibly China, but there we are talking nuclear war. That is not acceptable no matter the cause. So the conflicts occur by proxy, by guerilla or urban (or sub-urban) warfare. By economic/political/social shaping. Reform and devolution have most often taken place from society within a country, often with help. Same goes for pro-liberal western re-orientation, with help. So what we see is re-shaping of the lines of contest into asymetric forms of conflict.
With Iran for example, it knows that the west can cripple the whole country, probably remove existing leaders also. The west knows that Iran is capable of sourcing an army capable of conquering to the mediteranean, including occupied territories. Neither is up to the challenge, because the respective losses would simply not be worthwhile – there would be little guarantee of victory and the possibility of great loss. So it becomes asymetric, economic, attrition, preparation for eventuality. Sometimes that then even forms into a quiet high level co-operation, often corrupt.
The failure though is that of international intermediation. The UN or similar are not understood to be effective, are patient as a piece of paper on a desk when decisions and positions need to be taken long in advance.
The failure is of western society accomodating the corruption that exists in their own countries, of allowing continued adventurism. It is not surprising given that most people (at least imagine that they) profit from or depend on the existing organisation of their countries, are punished if they question, and to a degree understand that managing the balance of international security is above their pay grade.
So all evolves slowly in some kind of new direction, except for the various flash points that become activated for whatever reason.
Sometimes that will be to pre-empt others into limited or greater conflict, sometimes to distract from domestic issues, sometimes to renew stockpiles and fund MIC, sometimes to reinforce hegemony. Etc etc etc.
The leaders and intel of any country will be watching all of this, very cautious of their own actions. After all, they (usually) are firstly interested in maintaining (or furthering) the stability and prosperity of their own countries, and in not jeapordising those, which is as it should be I think.
To put it in short form :
Maybe a ruse is suspected when someone says “Here I am”.
Or that preparations that have taken twenty years are not going to be unleashed before ready.
Or that a country doesn’t quite feel like being bombed any particular day.
Or that they consider years of higher tension might detract from overall endeavour.
We could discuss endlessly, but look at the world :
Events just happen, and will do so in a predictably unpredictable way until some/all sit down sensibly and write a clear set of rules/laws that are enforceable and transparent, that ensure at least that international armed conflicts no longer occur.
At that point countries can take care of what they themselves want to (or don’t want to) be by the means they choose.
It is normal that the strongest power/s would not want to give up their existing advantages.
So back to square 1, or to globalist totalitarianism as ‘the only solution’.
All predictable.

When I went to Israel in 1977, my left-wing , journalist hosts joked about conditions in Nablus when we passed it , that the conditions Israeli Occupation imposed on Palestinians in the West Bank prevented them being able to afford marriage, and that homosexuality was the inevitable result.
It looks as though Israeli society has had a taste of its own poison.
There is also the story of the prisoner in Iraq during the US invasion of his country . The prison guard who was mocking the prisoners being forced to sexually abuse each other told the prisoner that his wife was with another man now.
To which the Iraqi prisoner replied that it was the other way round and the prison guard’s wife was betraying him while he was at work. The guard totally flipped.
Human beings are strange creatures.
The political classes in Europe and the US , all nodding their spring heads to Blinken’s lies about the wars in Ukraine and Israel, are locked into some sort of morally blind , Group think.
Not just Israeli society, but the whole of Western wokism, is very close to moral breakdown. One day soon, inshallah, their WEFfy head-springs will stop nodding.
Except for those who have good wars, War is extremely morally destabilising.

Maybe. I tend to think it was an errant Irone Dome missile. If the Israeli’s had mounted a deliberate attack, I think they would have used a missile that would leave a crater like that of the Hezbollah missiles they claimed hit the children. It also seems to me that, given what we know about Oct 7, to mention b’s article above, that if the Israelis had planned the attack, they would have targeted some gathering of secular jews. They are certainly not above murdering their own citizens, and this would make a much more credible ‘Hezbollah attack’ than killing a few Syrian Druze children in the occupied Golan Heights. It’s civil war over there, right?

Haniyeh was visiting Tehran to take part in the swearing in of the new Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, and the two men met in the Iranian capital earlier this week.
In its first official statement, Hamas said that there had been an airstrike on the Haniyeh’s location in Tehran.

For anyone praising Elon Musk you must ask yourself how you can praise a man that is now fully bought and paid for by the Zionist regime, using his social media site to censor accurate content about Zionist crimes and push Israeli lies. Then claims that Maduro is not the democratically elected president of Venezuela, while pushing his Zionist opponent and supporting the dictator of Ukraine. And supporting the Zionist crazy Milei. Just another oligarch, from South African white oligarch stock doing what oligarchs do.
Posted by: Roger | Jul 30 2024 16:47 utc | 90
Do you really believe the Zionist Entity bought out the 100% stake in Musk, Ltd, that the US Pentagon/MIC/Deep State owns? Musk is a tool of the Empire, no doubt about it, but Israel doesn’t have the cashflow to buy him from the current owners. In the past they settled for having a great deal of influence with him, via the banking system, and with their extreme influence with the elected portion of the US government, but I would suggest that that influence is not nearly as great as people make it out to be- after all, they are merely funneling back a fraction of what the US gives to influence legislators. The great bulk of the Deep State is neither Zionist nor Jewish. They created and backstopped Israel for their own purposes- the resources wars, primarily- but that is now a losing bet.
There are divisions within the Deep State, and the Zionist Entity creates one fault line, while the neocon ideologues create another, but the great majority of Deep State actors, including the Jewish ones, are more concerned with their own wealth and power than with ideological or religious ideas. The propaganda apparatus and the ‘temporary state’ of elected officials are very much influenced by the Israelis, but the Israelis are making it possible for those officials to shed the burden of supporting Israel because of the Gaza genocide, but also now because it becomes possible to choose what ‘Israel’ to support. “I do support Israel to the hilt, but I support the Good Jews, not Netanyahoo’s homicidal lunatics!” I expect this to become the mainstream narrative as Israel’s internal politics fragement and their economy crumble.

From Celente’s Trends Journal, for which took out trial subscription recently. He is super-critical of both US faux political system and The Entity. Since cannot provide a link for this subscription publication, here is one of several articles from this week’s edition on the situation in Gaza. At about $2.50 a week, it’s a pretty good publication though most of it is financial coverage which doesn’t interest me personally.

WIDESPREAD DISEASE SOARS IN GAZA AS HEALTH CARE SYSTEM COLLAPSES
The Israeli military said it detected traces of polio in sewage samples at two sites in Gaza last month raising concerns of a major outbreak.
Dr. Mithqal Abutaha, program manager of Project HOPE, a global health nongovernmental organization that runs clinics in the areas of Gaza where polio was discovered, told NBC News that an outbreak of the disease inside the war-torn enclave would be a disaster.
“The health care infrastructure is ruined. There is no capability enough to control this outbreak,” he said.
The Mayo Clinic defines polio as “an illness caused by a virus that mainly affects nerves in the spinal cord or brain stem. In its most severe form, polio can lead to a person being unable to move certain limbs, also called paralysis. It can also lead to trouble breathing and sometimes death.”
The disease has been all but eradicated, but health officials told The New York Times that the collapse of the healthcare system in the enclave raises the risk of the spread of other pathogens.
The enclave is experiencing a deadly combination of sewage overflow, lack of medication, and food to ward off such pathogens. The paper said the biggest threat is waterborne infections like hepatitis A and cholera. So far, more than 1.7 million cases of various infections have been recorded inside the enclave since the start of the war.
The IDF said it hit more than 37,000 targets inside the enclave since the start of the war, which resulted in 40 million tons of debris, the paper said.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the WHO, wrote an op-ed in The Guardian, stating that most hospitals in Gaza “are no longer able to function. Already, diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections and hepatitis A, among others, are raging through Gaza. Nearly everyone in Gaza is facing acute food insecurity and catastrophic hunger. Thousands of children are malnourished, making them even more susceptible to disease.”
The WHO announced Friday that it will provide Gaza with one millionprotect the enclave’s children. (See “AT LEAST 186,000 DEATHS COULD BE ATTRIBUTED TO GAZA GENOCIDE IF WAR STOPPED NOW: THE LANCET,” 16 July 2024.)
There have been no known cases, but it would be “just a matter of time before it reaches the thousands of children who have been left unprotected.” Scott Anderson, the director of Gaza affairs for the UNRWA, said he is amazed that there has yet to be an outbreak given the conditions on the ground.
There are 625,000 children inside the enclave and most of the UNRWA schools have been destroyed, including eight that were struck in the last two weeks, the UN said. Israel’s blockade has also resulted in unprecedented suffering for those with pre-existing conditions who no longer have access to life-saving treatment. People with pre-existing conditions such as cancer, kidney failure or diabetes are also unable to access the lifesaving treatment they need. And tens of thousands of other patients require urgent medical evaluation, the UN said.
TRENDPOST: In November, the BBC ran a headline “Untreated Diseases Could Eventually Kill More People in Gaza Than Bombings.”
The report said: Diarrhea and respiratory infections are widespread among children in overcrowded UN facilities where almost 1.1 million people are sheltering. Patients with chronic illnesses like cancer are also receiving no treatment.
Giora, the former head of the Israeli National Security Council, spoke about how rampant disease could benefit the military campaign.
WSWS quoted Eiland who said: “Who are the ‘poor’ women of Gaza? They are all the mothers, sisters or wives of Hamas murderers…”
The international community warns us of a humanitarian disaster in Gaza and of severe epidemics. We must not shy away from this, as difficult as that may be. After all, severe epidemics in the south of the Gaza Strip will bring victory closer and reduce casualties among IDF soldiers.
TRENDPOST: The terrible human suffering of some two million Palestinians inflicted upon them by the Israeli war machine is not heavily reported by the Western mainstream media. All this murder, misery and destruction inflicted upon the Palestinians on a daily bases is genocide… all being supported by the West under the guise of defeating Hamas. Never is there a question by the mainstream media as to the reality of Israel bombing Gaza into ruins having nothing to do with wiping out Hamas.

Are you seriously equating these prison rapes with the sexuality of gay people? Don’t you know that any kind of rape has nothing to do with sexual preference? It’s a brutal imposition of power instead.

Both Baud and Ant Goodman revealed themselves therefore to be controlled opposition. Done for me.
Posted by: Exile | Jul 31 2024 2:40 utc | 230
I have watched dozens of his interviews.
I never saw Baud as controlled opposition.
He always came across as on neither side.
He provides, in my my view, neutral analysis.
That is sufficient.
He doesn’t take sides, so one cannot class him as “opposition”.
If he cannot be classed as “opposition” then he cannot be classed as “controlled opposition”.
And, if the Empire is offering up Baud as “controlled opposition” I must say they have a talent for shooting themselves in the foot.
He offers the same value as Alastair Crooke:
A rational, fact-based, experience-based analysis of the situation.
The credentials to legitimately say “a was there when it happened”.
That’s the best one can expect in the post-truth era.

Welcome if brutal news if true. Haniyeh has deserved this since condemning the death of Osama Bin Laden. If Israel had sound leaders running the war, they would’ve been fighting it this way. Killing leaders like Haniyah and hopefully Fuad Shukr, instead of the 39000 civilian lives counting.

Sde Teiman riots reveal the ‘disintegration of Israeli state’
Israel’s right wing have no intention of giving up the impunity it’s enjoyed for years, pitting elements of the state against each other
The scenes of far-right Israelis breaking into a detention facility to protest the arrest of soldiers accused of raping a Palestinian reveal a society heading towards a breakdown of state institutions, analysts have told Middle East Eye……
….“This is a very significant event,” Israeli journalist and analyst Meron Rapoport told MEE. “An event that has the character of a rebellion… to completely dismantle what is left of the rules that are supposed to govern society.”….
…In April, an unnamed doctor described in harrowing detail the conditions at the facility, including limb amputation due to handcuff injuries and prisoners forced to defecate in nappies.
Further investigations by Middle East Eye, CNN and the New York Times found widespread examples of abuse at the centre…..

I have always presumed that leaders don’t assassinate other leaders purely from a need for self-preservation: do this and you bring down retribution on your own head, rather than the heads of the little people, who don’t really count.
Is this the beginning of a war of attrition of heads of state? One can only hope. Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of people.

However tiny and unimportant USUK , flaccid proxies , NutJob and JellyBaby , may be in the scheme of things. There is Oil in the Palestinian Sea off Gaza, and big oil pappa Erdogan wants his cut.
USUKIS is only interested in Oil, and in those scumbags who might possibly assist them with pipelines across Turkey to bring the oil to Yurp.
Everything else is irrelevant to USUKIS. They own the courts that govern international Law. They are genociding the people of Gaza and it will only take a month or two to complete the task in the absence of food and water drains and shelter.
It would be more useful for you to shill for USUK than pretend you care about the fleas proxies that are doing USUK’s clearance job for them in Palestine and Ukraine.
The oil-rich Mediterranean on Europe’s doorstep, and the water-rich Ukraine are slowly moving into the grasp of USUK. Even at the risk of nuclear war.

BAGHDAD/WASHINGTON, July 30 (Reuters) – The United States on Tuesday carried out a strike in Iraq in self defence, U.S. officials told Reuters, as regional tensions rose after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut that Israel said killed Hezbollah’s most senior commander.
Iraqi police and medical sources said the strike inside a base south of Baghdad used by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) killed four members of the group that contains several Iran-aligned armed militias, and wounded four others.

I think it is getting serious.

Political Leaders do not assasinate each other, since killing a political leader leads to tit-for-tat reprisals. At least this has been the case since the early Middle Ages among civilized people’s. Hamas is a political organization similar to the Likud. The soldiers are Al-Qassem and various other Brigades similar to the IDF fighters.
In warfare, what distinguishes honorable soldiers versus criminal bandits is restraint and self-discipline. The IDF ethos seems akin to the Japanese Imperial Army ethos in the 1930s to 1945. Its eerie.
The last 10 months has highlighted the differences for the world to see.

terrorise Iraqi Kurdistan into signing over Kurdish Oil to USUKIS.
They fuck you over until you surrender. You need national.unity to surrender your Country’s Oil. China delivers the National Unity in Palestine. After you sign, it’s all so easy and beautiful. You’re free to enjoy peace and prosperity.
All USUKIS need is a “””””terrorr “””: threat, which they manufacture, and then an “””””anti-terror”””””:, operation which terrorises the population. Sign the paper.

Perhaps the Iranians didn’t expect it to happen right under their noses (despite so many previous examples to the contrary!).

Israel’s strike on Ismail Haniyeh is only a propaganda victory. Nothing more, It is no way to win a war.
The strike did nothing to degrade Hezbollah’s military might. Haniyeh will be replaced and the resistance will go on and get stronger.
In 2020 The US killed Iran’s General Soleimani. It was a blow to Iran and he was mourned. Then Iran came back stronger than before to become now, a regional superpower.
In the start of Russia’s SMO a few military leaders were Killed in Ukraine. Just recently, and earlier in the war. Putin fired more military leaders than Ukraine has Killed in the course of the war.
Russia is now far stronger than at the start of the SMO.
Hezbollah is doing far more damage to Israel by taking out strategic military targets. Than Israel has done to Hezbollah by killing a few of its commanders. Which will be, and have been replaced with competent, intelligent, fighting men.
I say again. The the resistance will go on, stronger than before.

The Americans, at the highest level, support the actions in Beirut and Teheran and pledge direct kinetic assistance to “defend” Israel from this point on – then add they “don’t seek” escalation. They just green lit the assassination of a chief negotiator for a ceasefire deal the Americans themselves took to the UNSC for approval. It’s hard to think of a worse diplomatic betrayal. Those negotiations are finished now, and yet again the Biden admin’s foreign policy team has made their own situation worse.

How can the US justify Israel’s right to “defend” itself against this little girl?
Children in Gaza have only 245 calories per day!
Forced starvation is an act of genocide.

“the colonial entity” – lol. I thought it was ZOG. You are too invested in libtard ideologies. The majority of Israeli Jews are born in Israel, to parents born in Israel. They are not colonist, they are natives whether you like it or not.
Israel won’t fall apart for the same reason. Those people are born there. They will for the most part, die there. Gaza, Lebanon, etc. They can defeat Israeli invasion forces, they cannot invade and occupy Israel themselves. Israel is not in danger of going anywhere.

Israel obviously had help from the US in assassinating Haniyeh, and both Lloyd Austin (Defense Sec.) and Kamala Harris have issued statements saying the US will defend Israel should any country try to seek reprisals for his assassination and for the killing of Hezbollah’s leader in Beirut. No statement from Biden as yet, though he may be comatose for all we know.
Clearly, Israel is not interested in negotiations for a cease-fire any more. I hope someone can stop the Israelis before all the Palestinians are dead. This has been the goal all along and because the US has refused to put an end to it, they may succeed in that goal.
The US and Israeli leaders are blights on humanity.

israel/USA appear to be determined to drag the world into a major war in the Middle East.
one that will make Iraq and Afghanistan look like small fry.
I think that Iran and Hezbollah will both act with incredible restraint, prudence and patience in the face of all this provocation. Though I could be wrong… maybe israel has at last crossed one too many red lines

Saying they want a ceasefire and then assassinating the guy they’d negotiate it with is a pretty clear sign of how serious Israel is about diplomacy

The most important takeaway from Israel’s attack on Iran tonight is that Israel desperately wants war with Iran and even more desperately wants to drag the US into war with Iran and triple more desperately wants the US to finance it.

Blinken is behind this madness.
Why? Because no matter who wins – Trump or Kamala – he’s gone. This is his last chance.
Blinken’s dream? To drag the US into Israel’s war. And he’s determined to make it happen.

It was a deliberate attack on a deliberate target. Once we start making excuses for Nazi war criminals, we will lose.
Posted by: Giyane | Jul 31 2024 3:36 utc | 243
Who made excuses? Maybe you didn’t read the post you replied to. Rational people are pointing out that it is nonsense for Hezbollah to attack Syrian Druze civilians in a part of Syria that the Zionist entity occupies illegally. What’s the motivation?
Following the same logic, Israel has no motivation to create a false flag event with an attack on Syrian Druze civilian in a part of Syria they illegally occupy. Does that frighten more of the secular Jews to join the Zionist cause? Probably not. No Jews live there. On the other hand a false flag that targets Jews, especially secular Jews, someplace where they actually live, at least fits the narrative about Hezbollah being terrorist, even though they have a very clear history of avoiding attacks on civilians, and admitting when they make a mistake and kill some. My point was, and is, that Netanyahoo has already proved that he will kill large numbers of Israeli Jews without hesitation if it serves his purposes. How is pointing that out ‘making excuses?’
And speaking of Nazis, the Ukrainians have demonstrated quite often that when you shoot explosive projectiles into the air, they come down somewhere, and frequently not where they were intended to. This is especially true when the intended target is small and moving evasively.
The Hezbollah-bombed-civilians narrative is false both because it makes no sense for them to do so, and second because the results do not fit the capabilities of Hezbollah’s missiles. I think that Mossad and the military could manage to get the details right if they had actually planned the strike.
It doesn’t help the Axis of Resistance for us to spread falsehoods ‘on their behalf.’ Surely it interferes with their strategy of telling the truth about these matters.

This is why outside pressure is so important.
As to the presence of the innocent in detention, the point is to terrorize them and the general population among whom they are eventually released.
This was a common tactic of the Gestapo in occupied Europe.

What an idiot! And everyone connected with him. Clearly it should have been assumed after Israel targeted the Iranian consulate in Syria only recently, there was a major security compromise within Iran.
His life and experience and know how exchanged for a pr photo op. Dumb. How do they ever expect to win?

He would have been killed wherever he was. This is more about Netanyahu desperate to prolong and escalate the war and force a rift between American Jewish donors and “This has to end” Kamala.

‘Synagogue of Satan’ Denies Genocide While Committing Genocide, Effectively Asserting A Right to Genocide
Israel is engaged in the mother of all performative contradictions: denying genocide, while committing genocide, all the while demanding the right to genocide.

Do you really believe the Zionist Entity bought out the 100% stake in Musk, Ltd, that the US Pentagon/MIC/Deep State owns? Musk is a tool of the Empire, no doubt about it, but Israel doesn’t have the cashflow to buy him from the current owners.
Posted by: Honzo | Jul 31 2024 3:26 utc | 237
The primary investors in Musk’s takeover of Twitter were wealthy Zionists like Larry Ellison,
and the Saudi and Qatari royals, who can now get IP addresses of regime critics with a phone call instead of risking American wrath by bribing Twitter employees who then get jailed.
