Trump-Biden Debate Furthers Replacement Talks

Last night's Trump-Biden debate has turned into a disaster for the Democrats.

About two-thirds in Biden is clearly deteriorating. I guess his meds were losing their power. His speech got sloppy. His reactions were mechanical and unemotional.

Every news outlet seems to have come up with these observations:

President Biden hoped to build fresh momentum for his re-election bid by agreeing to debate nearly two months before he is to be formally nominated. Instead, his halting and disjointed performance on Thursday night prompted a wave of panic among Democrats and reopened discussion of whether he should be the nominee at all.

Over the course of 90 minutes, a raspy-voiced Mr. Biden struggled to deliver his lines and counter a sharp though deeply dishonest former President Donald J. Trump, raising doubts about the incumbent president’s ability to wage a vigorous and competitive campaign four months before the election. Rather than dispel concerns about his age, Mr. Biden, 81, made it the central issue.

Such pieces come to the same conclusions:

President Joe Biden’s debate performance has set off alarm bells among top Democrats, leaving some to openly question whether Biden can stay atop of the Democratic ticket.

“He seemed a little disoriented. He did get stronger as the debate went on. But by that time, I think the panic had set in,” longtime Democratic operative and CNN senior political commentator David Axelrod said.

Axelrod also gave voice to a conversation happening among many Democrats on Thursday night: “There are going to be discussions about whether he should continue.”

Scanning the rather uniform news I suspect that the common negative critic of Biden's performance from the Democrats was preconceived.

Rod D. Martin @RodDMartin – 3:29 UTC · Jun 28, 2024

Thing we know:

  1. The insiders knew Biden was like this.
  2. They didn’t have to agree to any debate at all. They certainly didn’t have to propose and show up for the earliest debate in history.
  3. So they humiliated Biden deliberately, but only after the primary voters get no say, yet early enough pre-Convention for the insiders to pick his successor before the fall campaign.

This has been the plan for a long, long time.

Indeed. Plans to replace Biden before the convention have been discussed publicly for several months now.

There are however hurdles that will be hard to take:

Dan Rivers @danriversitv – 5:20 UTC · Jun 28, 2024

That was a catastrophe for the Democratic Party. Biden’s halting, rambling mumble fest will totally eclipse Trump’s outrageous lies and rewriting of history. Now the panic and internal arguments will erupt inside the Democratic Party. But the only one who Biden will listen to is the First Lady. And there’s no sign she’ll tell him to stand aside for a successor.

Which other candidate have the Democrats in mind when they plan to replace Joe Biden?

The real sadness is that the US average Joe believes that the US two party system (just one party more than China) is what a democratic system looks like. There is no fantasy or imagination that a multi party system even could exist. There is no reflection over the fact that there are 100+ different toasters to choose from, but when it comes to choosing political party there is no reflection over that the two current catastrophic/pathetic alternatives could/should be replaced. What a mindless and stupid population!

Hillary to the rescue, who else. The people are going to be resetted with a mass media campagne, but it doesn’t really matter, the election are rigged.

We need to end the “party system”.
When an election ballot is created, when the questions and candidates names that appear on the ballot are decided, no “party” should have any input on those decisions. There should be “patitions of signatures of the folks qualified to vote that dictate the candidates and questions that appear on all ballots, and no ‘good ol boys club’ should influence who and what appears on the ballot

I get the feeling from Biden that ‘an old man caught up in his own previous misdeeds at the end of his life’.
It seems to me that this man tried to build his family’s prosperity on US emipire’s state crimes.
The wine that he drunk when he recruited his own son as a board member of that Ukrainian coup government infrastructure company, which was a fruit of US regime change operation, may have now turned into sour vinegar and everything into heartache.
But that psychological pain, vinegar is what he deserves to drink.

What kind of party would decide to throw all its weight behind a plainly incapable candidate and then set him up to be replaced a few months before the election? It would be a disaster for the Democrats. Even if they were able to steal the election one can just imagine the consequent political eruptions.
I cann’t credit the people talking about replacing Biden. They are all fools who can barely string a sentence together without embarrassing errors. Which may be why they supported Biden at the beginning, come to think of it. But now the Deocrats are stuck with him.

RFK Jr. If they invite him back in and accepts he might sweep the nation with the hope of Camelot renewed. RFK’s parallel debate had about 6,000,000 views, almost same as CNN (some say). Meanwhile if Trump gets him to be on his Cabinet as the Big Pharma & Corporate Capture Tzar and then runs for 2028, also a landslide.
I found the debate very boring with both candidates being ‘more of the same’ in each flavour and got distracted. But then the extremely negative reaction in the CNN post-debate panel made me sit up.
I imagine the following scenario: a while back those in the inner circle started acknowledging that Senior Citizen Joe has on and off days, and the off days were more frequent and getting worse. So they made him an offer: ‘we have an early debate so that if you flub it we can get a replacement, win the election and keep you out of jail for the duration; if you ace it we’ll back you all the way.’ Seems like within minutes they realized he was not on his A game which he had to be and so now it’s done.
Result: Trump lost the election. The Dems will go into the convention with great momentum with Trump left behind as a Man from the Past. If they invite Bobby back in, he will win.

Who is going to be the face of Obamas 4th term?
Who was ‘second’ in the Primaries? Some 🤡
I’ll speculate.
They should beg RFK. But he was cancelled a long time ago.
As far as I can see – they have already agreed that The Donald will be allowed his second term. It wasn’t his fault the mass murderess Hilary was so crap that she failed to get past the clown Trump first time around. The idiot aristo Lord Cameron, our unelected to parliament, Foreign Ministe, revealed as much in his Vovan and Lexus spoofing when he said they had to get Dons agreement to let the 50 Billion be allowed to go through into the trough! His AGREEMENT !
This shows that it has been agreed to give him the second term even if he wasn’t meant to get the first … it’s how it goes in the juvenile USA with it’s zio controllers.
The meritocracy operates on that unwritten rule of the ruling class in the US – A Dynastical promise.
That’s how JFK ended up in Office.
The father had done enough to have a Seat at the Top Table- which really means a feed at the trough or a ‘supermarket sweep’ – to fill their boots and have a dynasty.
Unfortunately for Joe , his groomed for the position first born died so he got his second born squeezed in ahead of tge 3td born – fortunately John had seen actual war and knew that the next one would be super lethal. He style up against the mad generals who were happy to accept the mass fatalities and destruction of Europe – after all they had their new Babylon and Zion…
So he was curtailed, and cheated of his second term.
The third born was stopped from claiming that right too.
The 4th born was curtailed by blackmail.
Johns son was killed with ‘his family’ as he was about to launch his bid to political power in NY he would have made it all the way
But he was not trusted enough to not go rogue like his father and uncle did..
JFK jr had also chosen NY as the seat, that Hillary had demanded belonged to her, for her route to the Top Table (that should make clear to anyone that the Clinton Power Couple were an edifice, created by the CIA ziogodfathers, from way back when they were chosen and put on that path. That she considers herself entitled to a seat of her own and indeed had earned it. )
Their single progeny being the dynastic link with the people of the blood forever – another sham arranged marriage.
It could be Chelsea, I don’t doubt that the super power of endorsement by the Tailor Swift is built to sugar that pill.
In the future one of her ziobrats! Will be able to claim it. If there is a future for the USA.
RFK or another Kennedy also claim rights to that second term – denied to JFK and his son , or to his brothers. Regardless of whatever he says, the Ziolords fear that blood is thicker than their holy waters, the moment the wronged dynasty returns to Power they fear retribution an end of their Imperialsits Zionazis Rule of the USA and the Collective Waste!
Thought Roman emperors bloody conspiracies ended with them? Nah it just shapeshifted and carried on forever…. Well until now, when it finally, after centuries, meets its nemesis at the hands of its ancient imperial desires- EurAsia and then Africa. It was inevitable that’s why they were ready to destroy the hundreds of millions and despoil the planet back in the 60’s
Here we are again. Now with billions of humans threatened with extermination.

To the surprise of nobody except Democrat party Borg activist “journalists” and Rachel Maddow’s audience, Biden was a feeble rambling cabbage last night, a shell of a man who looked like he wandered off the set of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
The talk for months now has been to parachute in Michelle Obama, Hillary or Gavin Newsome.
If the three above, Hillary is probably already hiring the lawyers and smear merchants to take them out.
The almost uniform media reaction to last night stinks of a pre-planned op to humiliate Joe publicly to set in motion the calls for his replacement.
They didn’t have to debate
They didn’t have to do it so early
Biden’s team knows he has dementia
Yet they agreed to let him go onstage last night and get mauled in front of the nation.
Why?
(Because they know the jig is up)

History gets rewritten over time.
The Biden presidency marks the high water point, when press and history are most lenient to the US.
As US power slips away little by little, future perspectives on history are going to be harsher towards the US.

Throughout the biden creature’s term there has been considerable pressure within the dims’ hierarchy to replace him cos’ as soon as he 1st pushed his walking frame outta his garage, it has been obvious he lacked the ability to utilise whatever limited intellect he once possessed.
Initially most of that pressure came from those who believed they would make a better dims candidate – the likes of h clinton for example. It wasn’t very long until the fact of his unsuitability for the gig became apparent to the general public and consequently pressure increased considerably.
Those defending genocide joe fell into basically two interlocking but separately interested groups. The first group, initially the most powerful but now in light of his blatant doddering compounded by the fact that son Hunter’s laptop was real & not foreign disinfo, the second group assumed control of the “let’s keep honest (lol) Joe”. That is the group of ‘loyal servants’ such as blinken or the now departed labor secretary martin walsh. Many in biden’s inner circle have longstanding relationships with genocide joe, not just those two. Also within the group of diehard supporters were those who owed their allegiance to biden because he promoted them. Many of them are basically tokens or professional poofters like buttigieg or professional african-amerikans such as HUD secretary Marcia L. Fudge (note this is in no way meant to cast aspersions on genuine african-american pols or all gay legislators. Considering Dr King is the best way I know to see the difference – although king was motivated by the obvious iniquities of the jim crow nonsense; later on once he saw poverty as a major stumbling block for more than just african-americans, that is how he treated it. Not as a race thing but as a people thing. However there are some careerist pols whose main claim to fame is their ethnicity or sexual predilection or whatever, and that is pretty much the only thing they somewhat stick to, cos they have no ideology, so everything else is ‘up for negotiation’).
Where was I? yeah that’s right initially there was an immovable resistance to throw joe coming from those who felt their careers were completely thanks to biden. Added on to those were a few types who felt a loyalty to him for plucking them outta obscurity into what they considered the big time, and as the ‘family’ eg hunter, jill and the brothers & nephews were forced a away following hunter’s laptop reality the second set took over. That is those who depended on the biden low life fought off challenges also cos their careers did depend on them.
The second group fought on for grim death, led in the main by the excreable blinken.
Trouble his that blinken’s credibility has been reduced to zero by a combination of his massive f**k up in ukraine and his willing participation in genocide in the zionist entity. In fact it is tough to see blinken will be sec of state in genocide joe’s next term (if a miracle or three were to occur, & biden won) let alone any other dims prez. Accompanying that reality has been the undermining of joe’s loyal accomplices by eager contestants to be his replacement who have been making all sorts of offers to any holdouts,
In a word genocide joe is screwed.
The only real questions are is it too late? This process has taken years, years that amerikans didn’t find enjoyable or the least bit entertaining despite the frequent banana skin comedy turns, and after the last four years of continual deception and distraction would they accept any candidate proposed by the dims?
I suspect not, but to paraphrase what a circus grifter once alleged; “nobody ever lost by over-estimating the gullibility of the indoctrinated masses”.
As for who is it gonna be? I defy anyone to put a 100% certainty to it. The only thing we can be sure of is whoever it is, given the late stage of the game, it will be someone with an amerika-wide brand eg name recognition. The real problem is that it is impossible to think of anyone in that group who still has credibility. I’m sure there must be someone, however nothing much comes to mind right now. They must know someone who doesn’t have the rep of being a complete shitbag surely.

Humility and learning, yes, and ‘Courage’ to face the dying embers of the American imperium … COURAGE! D H Lawrence sums up the dynamic well:
Courage
What makes people unsatisfied
is that they accept lies.
If people had courage, and refused lies
and found out what they really felt and really meant
and acted on it,
They would distil the essential oil out of every experience
and like hazel-nuts in autumn, at last
be sweet and sound.
And the young among the old
would be as in the hazel-woods of September
nutting, gathering nuts of ripe experience.
As it is, all that the old can offer
is sour, bitter fruits, cankered by lies.
Yes! Western democracy becoming a ‘bitter fruit, cankered by lies’.

It may be competent planning… The sooner this debate happened, the sooner it can, and will, be forgotten.
At least, its impact will fade before the election.
If they want to keep Biden in the running, it had to happen now.
If they want to replace him, now also was a good time for that debate.
Maybe the decision has not been made yet.
I agree with the people saying that they want replace him with Trump.
In that case Biden might be the best Democrat candidate they can find. Let him demonstrate to the voters that he is not fit for office until election time.
Maybe the demented old man understands this – and has given up.
Finding a candidate to replace Biden might be tricky. Not from the technical point of view, but due to voter acceptance.
Voters may feel cheated if Biden is replaced by someone who did not even participate in the primaries.
That is not good for the chances of whoever replaces Biden. Unless they want their candidate to lose.

The Marxist wing is all in on Palestine, but the Zionist wing isn’t.
The black wing will want a “true black” candidate, however there are none on the national level that are well known and have the resources and TIME to become known.
The Hildabeast is just as old and feeble as Pedo Joe, and has no standing with Gen Z and younger.
Tulsi Gabbard has cut ties with the party, as has RFK jr. Neither are a good “fit” for the world council/WHO/UN oriented part of the party.
Newsom is the only one who is wishy-washy enough to gather some support from all of the above, especially if he selects an east coast black, maybe Jeffrey?

Monos @ 52

Its very possible that the Dems are trying to replace Dork Brandon on the ballot. But, in doing so, they risk recreating the 1968 Democratic Convention and subsequent chaos that followed.

Read my post above, the headless chicken thing is just astounding and applies to everything now, politics, military, economy. The DNC reeks of medievalism or gangsterism, their king is deranged, at death’s door, but replacing him risks the control of the Praetorian guard and the mandarins. They are panicked and improvising, badly, as they are all frauds, simple as that.
There’s a lot of inertia in the empire, the end is not around the corner. As Michael Hudson said, probably 20 years.

So many comments across so many platforms on the Biden debate debacle.
For me, the most salient.
If Biden can’t debate for 1 hour, who is running the US presidency?

Posted by: Melaleuca | Jun 28 2024 11:27 utc | 60

It puzzles me no end as an Indian, that the US with a population of a third of a billion, claims to be a democracy, but has only two political parties and can find only these two old gentlemen as presidential candidates.
It’s patently obvious that Biden is someone’s stooge, much like our own Manmohan Singh was rumoured to be merely the face of the Italian woman really running the show.
Fascinating.

A small but interesting comparison for Americans here, as to whats happening in UK right now. Concerning the media election spin, our election is in one weeks time.
The media are doing their best to hype it all up and get people inerested. They say 20% of voters say they are undesided yet (polls)
But what the media dont say, is how many voters have said they have decided not to vote for anyone.
We have 5 main english partys, 3 extreme right wing 2 liberal fence sitters (trendy types)
The catch is.. no choice.
The none voters will be the majority.
Bet its the same in US.

‘Embarrassment for American democracy’ — Scott Ritter on US Presidential debates
“For 90 minutes, the world got to watch what was, frankly speaking, an embarrassment for American democracy. Neither candidate did well. Let’s just be clear about that. But at least Donald Trump in performing poorly performed coherently. For Joe Biden, this is the end of his candidacy,” former UN weapons inspector said.
Ritter added that after the debate, the world finally saw the figurative political assassination of Biden:
“CNN did what the Democratic Party could not do: create the conditions under which the American people were able to see firsthand the cognitive decline of a man who is not fit to be president of the United States. And that man is Joe Biden… This is someone who belongs in a retirement home, under the care of watchful people who ensure that he doesn’t harm himself.”

I am sure she still wants to. But she was already showing signs of age 8 years ago. And she hasn’t gotten any younger (whatever she may think).
If she gets elected, Joe Biden will lose his position as oldest President in the history of the US before her term expires.
And she lost once already to Trump. I don’t think she’ll do any better this time around.

I didn’t watch the “debate” because I knew in general terms already how it would go. The mantra “Lies! Lies! Lies!” about Trump has me faintly interested, though. There must have been a lot of lies from Trump for that to have been the reaction, right? Could anyone do me a favor and list a few specific lies spouted by Trump at the “debate” last night? Try to pick the biggest, most egregious, most consequential lies and leave out the silly showman kind like “I’m the greatest!”.
I tried scanning through the Establishment corporate mass media for a breakdown of specific lies Trump was supposed to have said. Unfortunately, most of what the presstitution industry claims are Trump’s lies are actually lies that the mass media itself told that Trump is only taking a contrary position on. For example, the ridiculous farce about the January 6th events being an “insurrection”. That is something Trump is telling the truth on and the corporate presstitution industry has been lying in chorus about. I am not interested in these assertions of lies from liars whose lies were exposed by Trump’s comments contradicting those lies. Just list real and legitimate lies told by Trump, not the ones echoing around inside the Imperial delusion bubble.

I was reading the comments and the image of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin (LA) popped into my head.
Was this a deep intuition speaking or just random processing?
Don’t ever recall hearing him speak, probably doesn’t sound like Mickey Mouse, but why
does he always seem to be just a prop standing there with Blinken, etal?
Lloyd Austin (LA) checks important boxes and would reverse the tide of Black voters leaving the Democrats.
And then there is the Military Industrial Complex, they would be 100% “LA LA LA”!
Did I mention Raytheon? The board of directors at Raytheon would be standing on the
table dancing the Hava Nagila!
Would someone investigate his “consultancy”? Please!
Raytheon bought itself a Secretary of Defense (SOD).
Did you know that Raytheon, before Lloyd Austin became SOD, handed Lloyd Austin (LA) a basket load of assets?
Lloyd Austin had retired from the Pentagon as a multi-star general.
He then opened a shell of a company, a “consultancy”.
Where? I wish a reporter would track this down, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were little more than a mail slot in some obscure back alley in Kansas. I don’t know.
Well, Raytheon was so bowled over by this critical “consultancy” that it merged it
– yes, merged it – into Raytheon. Merger means that they handed Austin a basket full of stock,
so much stock that he was now on the Board of Directors at Raytheon.
Austin was so pleased that he decided to become Secretary of Defense in Raytheon’s honor.
The lobbyists of Washington got to work and plied their rolodexes, contacting all the right people.
Lloyd Austin was to be nominated for SOD.
But there was a problem. The law says that one cannot become Secretary of Defense until one waits several years (four or is it five?) after retiring from the Pentagon. This law was enacted so as to control abuse of the Washington “revolving door”. No matter, Congress voted an exception for Lloyd Austin.
“Power to the Rolodex and NOT the People”.
That is how it is done in Washington.
That is how Raytheon bought itself a Secretary of Defense.

Thanks Lavrov’s Dog, you sound refreshed this day. 🙂 And you too Geraint ap Iorwerth, that DH Lawrence piece was beautifully tragic in its relevance. But it is true we must have courage to look honestly, or at least move on gracefully past the bitter fruits of failure from compromise in the face of evil (lies). Age and entropy teaches with an unrelenting hand, study well for the test is taken once and the results don’t bother with extra credit.
Article 25 will be bandied about, and who’ll be tapped as second in the election duel will be the competing two topics for inside baseball political wonkery. Waste little time on that distraction, Americans, and instead worry about replacing AIPAC influence in every Congressional seat you can. Tend your garden, mend your fences, and lock that gate, the forest canopy (1%) is about to reap a whirlwind from its stupid little games. Hopefully it mostly knocks out the neocon/neoliberal puppets & their masters off their dumb treehouses.
Back to my nest in the brambles. Be good to each other. 🙂 True storms leave you reliant upon the kindness of strange bedfellows to get through its rage. Any plant home in a storm is a good one, but the flexible ones tend to hold up best.

After cautiously casting about, I made choice of the tallest of a group of Douglas Spruces that were growing close together like a tuft of grass, no one of which seemed likely to fall unless all the rest fell with it. Though comparatively young, they were about 100 feet high, and their lithe, brushy tops were rocking and swirling in wild ecstasy. Being accustomed to climb trees in making botanical studies, I experienced no difficulty in reaching the top of this one, and never before did I enjoy so noble an exhilaration of motion. The slender tops fairly flapped and swished in the passionate torrent, bending and swirling backward and forward, round and round, tracing indescribable combinations of vertical and horizontal curves, while I clung with muscles firm braced, like a bobo-link on a reed.
In its widest sweeps my tree-top described an arc of from twenty to thirty degrees, but I felt sure of its elastic temper, having seen others of the same species still more severely tried–bent almost to the ground indeed, in heavy snows–without breaking a fiber. I was therefore safe, and free to take the wind into my pulses and enjoy the excited forest from my superb outlook.
… I kept my lofty perch for hours, frequently closing my eyes to enjoy the music by itself, or to feast quietly on the delicious fragrance that was streaming past. …

HRC still wants to be the First Female President of the United States of America.

Spoiled goods with lethal negatives, it would be DNC suicide, but again, these are not competent people and name recognition is the first obstacle you must overcome in a campaign, famous or infamous, that puts her at the head of the pack. If they do choose HRC it’ll be the most desperate act in USA political history.
The DNC fools got themselves between rock and a hard place, the pool is very shallow, it’s too late to create name recognition, even Newsom has that problem on a national level, and the DNC bench with any name recognition are all losers with little appeal.
It’s the consequence of taking politics away from power brokers and putting it in the hands of fail-up managers, put there to manage the deindustrialization and austerity decline. Reap what you sow.

==============
To me this just looks like a really dumb cheap shot.
Did the Times specify what was “deeply dishonest,” or is “deeply” their solution to not wanting to state what lies Trump actually said?
I think it must be clear to the country by now that despite Trump’s awful positions on Israel he is the lesser evil of the two products on offer.
Going forward Trump must show that he will have a capable cabinet and appoint capable department heads. That he now finally understands the power and responsibilities of the Executive Branch.

Okay, a few somewhat less unserious comments now:
(riffing off Hot Carl) It doesn’t speak well for American “democracy” that the “Democratic” half of the kleptocratic duopoly has now chosen Genocide Joe in the second of a series of rigged primaries (held at public expense, which is an obscenity in and of itself), and that if he is to be replaced this time around, it will be by a cabal of insiders — no democratic participation in that process desired.
(contra several commenters) RFK Jr? Tulsi? The Dim Party insiders hold grudges. It’s one of the few things they do with consistency.

Mariners detect the flowery perfume of land-winds far at sea, and sea-winds carry the fragrance of dulse and tangle far inland, where it is quickly recognized, though mingled with the scents of a thousand land-flowers. As an illustration of this, I may tell here that I breathed sea-air on the Firth of Forth, in Scotland, while a boy; then was taken to Wisconsin, where I remained nineteen years; then, without in all this time having breathed one breath of the sea, I walked quietly, alone, from the middle of the Mississippi Valley to the Gulf of Mexico, on a botanical excursion, and while in Florida, far from the coast, my attention wholly bent on the splendid tropical vegetation about me, I suddenly recognized a sea-breeze, as it came sifting through the palmettos and blooming vine-tangles, which at once awakened and set free a thousand dormant associations, and made me a boy again in Scotland, as if all the intervening years had been annihilated.

BTW I though Biden did well, he exceeded my expectations, but then I don’t live in msm 30sec soundbite land. I was expecting a whole string of incoherent mumbles with intervals of freezing up, I watched for that, like waiting for a crash in stock car racing, that Biden didn’t go up in flames was a win for me. I thought Trump after all this time and all his experience with public speaking, and the gravitas of the times, would be a tad more focused and coherent. He rambled off track and into triviality more than ever. Since he entered politics Trump has had every opportunity to step into the shoes of statesman yet he prefers big red clown shoes.
