Have we witnessed the first early shots of an upcoming Israeli Civil War?
A harbinger of a war decades or years away?

21 June 2024 |The Collapse of Zionism| |
A first indicator is the fracturing of Israeli Jewish society. At present it is composed of two rival camps which are unable to find common ground. The rift stems from the anomalies of defining Judaism as nationalism. While Jewish identity in Israel has sometimes seemed little more than a subject of theoretical debate between religious and secular factions, it has now become a struggle over the character of the public sphere and the state itself. This is being fought not only in the media but also in the streets.
One camp can be termed the ‘State of Israel’. It comprises more secular, liberal and mostly but not exclusively middle-class European Jews and their descendants, who were instrumental in establishing the state in 1948 and remained hegemonic within it until the end of the last century. Make no mistake, their advocacy of ‘liberal democratic values’ does not affect their commitment to the apartheid system which is imposed, in various ways, on all Palestinians living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Their basic wish is for Jewish citizens to live in a democratic and pluralist society from which Arabs are excluded.
The other camp is the ‘State of Judea’, which developed among the settlers of the occupied West Bank. It enjoys increasing levels of support within the country and constitutes the electoral base that secured Netanyahu’s victory in the November 2022 elections. Its influence in the upper echelons of the Israeli army and security services is growing exponentially. The State of Judea wants Israel to become a theocracy that stretches over the entirety of historical Palestine. To achieve this, it is determined to reduce the number of Palestinians to a bare minimum, and it is contemplating the construction of a Third Temple in place of al-Aqsa. Its members believe this will enable them to renew the golden era of the Biblical Kingdoms. For them, secular Jews are as heretical as the Palestinians if they refuse to join in this endeavour.

Two camps in the fracturing Israeli society. Above the two camps are labeled ‘State of Israel’ and ‘State of Judea’.
Will Israel turn it’s militancy inwards before or only after it has subdued all external enemies?
The ‘State of Judea’ camp wants to rule Israel as a theocracy by it’s own version of Jewish Law.
A vision and theocracy that demands it control all of historical Palestine.
October 7th was a Jewish holiday and also the Sabbath, the observant and also the Religious Zionists — the ‘State of Judea’ camp —
would choose to be in synagogues that day. Thousands of hedonists from the ‘State of Israel’ camp would head to a ‘free love’, Brazilian-style, trance rave party
located within earshot of Gaza.
Israel had Hamas’ detailed plan for it’s prison break. The plan indicated that it would take place on a Jewish holiday or the Sabbath,
October 7th was both.
The Rave Party was relocated just two days before October 7th and situated between Gaza and the Re’im military base on Route 232.
The Re’im military base was a target specifically named in the Hamas plan that Israel had captured. Hamas, traveling along Route 232
towards the military base, would have to pass by the Rave party.
Haaretz (Israel’s paper of record):
“In private conversations, some officers in the Gaza Division told of irregular conduct and pressure surrounding the approval of the party [Rave]”.
The officer normally charged with approving/disapproving events such as the party had disapproved it as, “an unnecessary security risk”.
But, in an unusual move, he was overruled by higher ups at division headquarters.
Half the IDF forces around Gaza were on leave because of the Jewish holiday. 100 commandos were moved away from around Gaza to the West Bank on the same day
that the Rave party was relocated, October 5th.
In the weeks and months before October 7th there was much intelligence information had by the Israelis that said an attack from Gaza was imminent.
In the early morning hours of October 7th there was a top level command meeting because of concerning Hamas activity. No one thought to alert the Rave party
revelers nor demand that they disperse.
After Hamas escaped Gaza the police blocked the exits to the Rave party and set up road blocks in both directions of Route 232.
This caused a massive traffic jam of revelers trying to flee.
They became sitting ducks for Hamas and an Israeli Apache attack helicopter.
The casualties from Hamas and the Hannibal Directive enabled the goals that the ‘State of Judea’ camp sought –
to cleanse Israel and rule over all of historical Palestine.
Have we witnessed a harbinger of a violent internal conflict to come?

I heard this quote recently from a lecture on human behavior and thought of Israel:
Morality exists to govern the behavior of the members within the tribe, in the hopes the tribe does not destroy itself.

Thousands of Palestinian children buried under rubble in Gaza: UNICEF
UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Ted Chaiban highlighted the significant number of child casualties in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip during a UN Security Council meeting on children and armed conflict on Wednesday. He stressed that thousands of children remain buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Palestinian territory.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he emphasized that Palestinian children are experiencing “incomprehensible suffering,” especially in the Gaza Strip, amid the “staggering” scale of death and destruction…..

The ruling coalition is succeeding at their goals
Bibi is not in jail
Neither the Israeli left or the PA is stressing peace
Antisemitism is increasing worldwide, sometimes obviously and sometimes creaping
Foreign funds are going to settlers rather than evacuees
Ben Gvir and Smotricht are both very successful and meeting their voters expectations

There is soon some elections in France and abroad , french “8th circumscription of french living outside France” have now mostly Israeli candidates … despite representing French nationals living in : Italy, Malta, San-Marin, Vatican City, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Israël, Jerusalem & Palestinians territories.
The actual representative is Meyer Habib (very close from Bibi).

Fun facts : the leftist have an Israeli candidate and a Palestinian deputy, but my prefered one is SIGOURA Benjamin … just google the program of this one for the future of french law : the guy is ” a true winner” :). I’m sure the cardinals in the Vatican will feel like being very well represented by this one.

The question is when Israel’s industries and infrastructure and energy distribution and water filtration comes under missile attack, wither the Maericans?
Will they vaingloriously come to help Israel fight? Of course they will. Fascism only has one gear. The fact all of this is counterproductive to their interests apparently doesn’t bother anyone, or more likely, thyere too fucking stupid to realize it. The political and military officer class in the West only know which side their bread is buttered.

True enough, but what if Zionists actually run the US government, media, courts, education system? From that perspective they could argue that ruining the US for the benefit of a bloodthirsty backward religious cult to which they are affiliated in the middle east is perfectly in line with their interests.

#1 The first part had good parts to chew on. One aspect of the fracture that could cleave israeli politics is how strongly would the Ashkenazic Jews engage against the settler factions? I would hazard more flight than fight.
I tired soon over trying to establish who knew how much when on the israeli side for Oct. 7. 1. Sexism – many of the analysts closest to the data were female. 2.Mid level officers cognitive bias against Palestinians and especially Gazans having the logistics and knowledge to enact a plan. 3. Upper level government is less analytical, they are political animals. Takes a lot to change them. 4. Many times the left hand does not know what the right hand knows.
As far as the Rave, it had an anarchist, MDMA, “well, lets just find a new place” mindset. Maybe they greased some palms to make a new site available. The debacle at the rave would have been an order of magnitude of less importance than Hezbollah seizing computers and soldiers at high level military intelligence bases.
Casulties of “civilians”. Please, it is helicopters, not helicopter. And iOf was committing murder at kibbutzes that were over 60 years old via helicopters in addition to the numerous vehicles firebombed at the rave.
It is all so 7 months ago. The all too probable hot engagement of iOf versus Hezbollah is a more relevant topic. Electricity, A/C, water distribution, desalination, the Palestinians will suffer greatly if/when that occurs.
As occurred in the 81 hostage rescue in Iran and has been replicated thousands of times in over a thousand years – militaries when tasked with tasks with very low probability of success – do not say it will, not work or we won’t do it. They just modify plan and execute. And fail.
I am in a “Future Events Appear Real” (FEAR) mode and have been mulling over whether the iOf will either use 5 – 20 kiloton nuclear devices for a first strike on buried targets of Hezbollah or use them as the situation goes sideways and backwards in the first few hours.
The genocide on Gaza sounds like the israeli govt will put that on autopilot and pivot against Hezbollah in a few weeks. Dark days ahead I fear. Making currant juice for mom and blanching and freezing kale. Peace out y’all

Thanks for your analysis, thx.
You have certainly heard of the Hannibal Doctrine,
less recognized is the Incompetence Doctrine.
The Incompetence Doctrine permits one to invade Iraq over non-existent WMD,
remove the bubble-dome over JFK’s limousine,
give terrorists visas and flying lessons to knock down three skyscrapers with only two planes…
The Incompetence Doctrine covers up for a lot of real sins.
Heck, in 2006 in the middle of being on full alert over a Hezbollah kidnapping attempt
the IDF transferred the intelligence officer in charge of the compromised sector of the border
and replaced him with one that “didn’t understand the intelligence information he was analyzing”.
Oops, Hezbollah again infiltrated the border and this time succeeded in attacking a border patrol,
and, voila, the invasion of Lebanon (2006) was in high gear.
The Incompetence Doctrine often goes by the old name, “security stand down false-flag” as per September 11th.
The Incompetence Doctrine is assisted by a Warren Commission or September 11th Commission.
Israel will do the same. But you knew that already.

Supposedly Houthis fired a hypersonic missile and hit a container ship. I think people confuse supersonic with hypersonic, but maybe this was the actual statement by Ansar Allah, so who knows. If true using a hypersonic missile on a cargo ship seems expensive and wasteful unless it was a test/target practice, or maybe they have them to spare. But if all of this is true, seems more like a message to the Prosperity Guardian crowd, maybe it’s a Russian message delivering on Putin’s promise. That was fast.
Lots of ships getting hit lately, crazy risk, not something commercial shipping and insurance companies are known for, the USA must have MSC, Maersk etc. by the testicles. Tentacles on testicles.

I have issue with several parts of the article. Not feeling the energy to get too deep in analysis but here is one sentence that
especially caught my attention.
“As part of the arrangement, Kastner agreed to not inform Hungarian Jews that they were being sent to their deaths in the crematoriums.”
Kastner and his crew of Zionists did a shit load more than keep their mouths shut. They intimidated anyone that tried to warn people that they
were being tricked to get onto trains to Auschwitz. They distributed postcards to fool people to get on the trains.
The Nazis had people arriving at Auschwitz sign the back of postcards saying simply, “I have arrived”.
On the flip side of the postcard, unbeknownst to the signers, was a well recognized place of safety. Kastner and his crew distributed the postcards to the
relatives of the signed postcards. Treachery and Betrayal. Kastner and his crew of Zionists were the trusted leaders in their community.

@16
It is all the US is able to do apart from open conflict, and so you can be certain vast amounts of energy is supplied to the endeavours. The US has no alternative but to continue trying to establish, or to maintain what it has established.
Zersetzung (i.e. disruption) of local non complying formation is not costly in comparison to warfare. Corruption of elites neither. Existing or introduced corruption combined with media and seeding ideological revolution disrupts countries.
That is not to say all is negative, there is positive offer from the US but the coercive nature of its approach sullies that.
In most countries the elite are seperate from the remaining population, that would be a few thousand people per country. That is not so hard to infiltrate. Factions can be played to keep each other down. Media control dumbs the rest of the population. Atomisation and destruction of social structure reduces society to compliant.
It is not right to think the US controls where it goes. Instead it holds strong influences and the ability to intervene in various ways.
Theological societies are harder to crack. Hence the Middle East.
Young population or freer (not ‘civilised’) societies are harder to control. Hence Africa, and South America.
Countries that have deep tradition or that are strong hand are harder to infiltrate and disrupt. Hence Russia.
Countries that are ideologically distinct are harder to control. Hence China.
Reality being there is no start or end point to all of this. It might dissipate eventually into a mixed centralised global control, might be displaced by other competing formats such as BRICs, or whatever else can be imagined.
We are walking into the unknown always, anything that seems a resolution is equally a stage for another level of action.
Someone here once asked “What would happen if 80% of the world population disappeared ?”. I thought about that and what came to mind was around 8000 years ago (not long in evolutionary terms) just after the glaciation, the population for all of europe is estimated as a few tens of thousands of people. Yet here we all are.
The point being maybe that it is all “too dangerous to contemplate” 😐 .

Well for the record, Col. Macgregor in his latest Judge Nap video has come out in support of US military intervention if the existance of the apartheid state is threatened. Presumably, he means its existance as a Jewish state. I guess he feels he can be an Israel Firster and a US Patriot at the same time. The Col. has an interesting concept of the word Patriot methinks.

Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) on H.R. 8771 to suppress the death-toll in Gaza, which just passed the U.S. House of Reptiles overwhelmingly: 269-144.

“The ethnic cleansing of Palestinians did not end in 1948. Today… we are witnessing the Israeli apartheid government carry out a genocide in Gaza, and in real time, and this amendment is an attempt to hide it…
“These are innocent children and babies who have been bombed in their tents, burned alive, dismembered, and deliberately starved to death. Where is our shared humanity in this chamber? There is so much anti-Palestinian racism in this chamber that my colleagues don’t even want to acknowledge that Palestinians exist at all—not when they’re alive, and now, not even when they’re dead.”

Me, too.
Moore is a film maker, not a historian.
For instance, I am not sure Moore’s premise concerning the import of the Jewish boycott of Germany is correct.
But I am also not a Historiker and don’t have time to dig up more sources and analysis on this. I am quite sure that the boycott was viewed by Germans—or exploited by some in Germany—as an attack by international Jewry on the whole country. Which might have been counterproductive for everyone, including Hitler’s foes within Germany. In any case, 1933 was too late for external actions to make much difference, as the totalitarian state was in place very soon after the Machtergreifung.
Makes one wonder about the effectiveness of boycotts . . . Any similarities with sanctions, say, on Russia? They have not brought down Putin, nor Russia, but instead have made the Russians rally around their leader and their country.
Moore only compares the Zionists and the Nazis in terms of their racism—as per usual (see also Adam Shatz’s writings in the London Review of Books). No mention is made of the similarities in their Lebensraum programs: the theft of land for a replacement population. That issue may be left out because the pure racism card is the easiest to play.
But I don’t want to quibble because judging from the comments at CN, this article was a big eye-opener to a lot of CN readers. And interested readers can follow the links to more info on the cynicism and racism of the Zionists going back to the very beginnings of their assault on Palestine.

From that perspective they could argue that ruining the US for the benefit of a bloodthirsty backward religious cult to which they are affiliated in the middle east is perfectly in line with their interests.”
All religious cults are backward. Generally, their bloodthirstiness is proportional to their power to shed blood. Mennonites and Quakers didn’t start out pacifists, they discovered the attractions of a pacific state after getting violently suppressed themselves. (The Mennonites were targeted at and after Jan of Leiden’s uprising in Muenster, the Quakers during the English Civil War, or Puritan Revolution.
As for the people running the US government, media, courts, education system, yes most of them are indeed affiliated to a bloodthirsty backward religious cult, namely, Christianity. Christian Zionists believe God gave the Jews the Holy Land and their Return is part of the divinely ordained plan. Some of them eagerly anticipate them being sent to Hell after the Second Coming. “Religion” is legally, politically and socially advantaged, so even those whose only God is Mammon capitulate to the others. Attacking Jews but not Christians is not a good look. Even worse, the real targets should be imperialists.

=================
I am curious as to where Steve gets the idea that Friends were all for violence until they experienced it themselves during the Civil War and made a U-turn. The sect didn’t even exist before the Civil War.
The group eventually known as Quakers emerged during the latter years of the Civil War (1642-51). In the course of the conflict George Fox—mainly traveling about on his own and preaching, refused to take up arms. That doesn’t mean that earlier he would have done so. Friends always refused to engage in violent conflict. (The word “pacifist” was coined much later, in 1901.)
Mainly, the Quakers refused to respect traditional authority, both religious and secular, and didn’t see any need for priests, pastors, or any folderol of religious rituals or for paying tithes, either. The source of human perfection lay within the power of each person, in direct communion with God and His son. That was enough to piss off both traditional religious groups and secular authorities. The Quakers also thumbed their noses at any earthly power, including Cromwell. To a certain extent George Fox, born a Puritan, rebelled against the suffocating Puritan ideologies and practices. Quakers also refused to take oaths to the Crown (or to Cromwell), considering oath-taking to be primitive superstition. They said their personal word was good enough. It was this refusal to kowtow and take oaths but instead to continue to meet openly and defy authority that led to repeated arrests and detentions of George Fox and other Quakers.
It is quite amazing just how how much rage and persecution the Quakers and other sects that just wanted to do their own spiritual thing elicited in the 17th and early 18th centuries.
The Quakers called themselves Friends.

“Quaker” emerged as a derisive nickname for Fox and others who shared his belief in the biblical passage that people should “tremble at the Word of the Lord.” The group eventually embraced the term, although their official name became Religious Society of Friends.”

Since this is a Palestine thread, it is worth mentioning the Ramallah Friends School, founded in 1869.

ZH has a posting up with the title
US Readies To Evacuate Americans From Lebanon If War Erupts, Marines En Route
the quote

With Israel-Hezbollah tensions soaring and the US and European countries urging both sides against an all-out war, the US Embassy in Beirut has issued a new travel advisory warning American citizens to stay away from Lebanon. “We remind US citizens to strongly reconsider travel to Lebanon,” said the fresh notice which follows prior similar alerts. It warned in particular about travel to the south of Lebanon and in border areas with Syria, and to also avoid refugee settlements.
[according to NBC]

The Pentagon is moving U.S. military assets closer to Israel and Lebanon to be ready to evacuate Americans as fighting between Israel and Hezbollah intensifies, according to three U.S. defense officials and a former U.S. official familiar with the plans.
The USS Wasp, an amphibious assault ship, and Marines from the 24th Expeditionary Unit, which is special operations capable, moved into the Mediterranean on Wednesday to join the dock landing ship USS Oak Hill and another ship in their amphibious ready group, according to the Marine Corps. The Wasp will operate in the eastern Mediterranean to be ready for a Military Assisted Departure and other missions, the officials said.

Its almost show time, eh?

If you are a moral billionaire or even just a near-billionaire
and want to fight Hamas here is investment advice:
https://observer.com/2023/10/why-and-how-investors-can-fight-terror/
Just had to share this.

You might think I condemn Hamas because I am Jewish and Israeli. But that is not the reason.
First, deliberately massacring civilians–terrorism–is fundamentally evil and unjustifiable. I feel complicit if I don’t take an unmistakable stance on this. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said Hamas’s atrocities are “worse than what I saw with ISIS.” Hamas is a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, Christianophobic organization.
Second, if terrorism succeeds in Israel, others will use terrorism elsewhere. I was in Manhattan on 9/11. Hamas and its allies Iran cheered 9/11 and welcomed encore performances.
Third, as a venture capitalist, my job is figuring out how to support our portfolio companies globally. That also includes thinking about how to protect our companies and those who work for them from harm and how to influence the political environment so they’re set up for success

” all religious cults are backward ”
It’s the job of the Jews to invert the development of human spirituality by injecting backward thinking into every cult. This is centuries old tradition to prevent any other religious perception from overtaking their own 6000 year old cult based on the Talmud.
Look at every religious cult and you will find the perversions created by Jews. They are actively opposed to the evolution of human spirituality.

Posted by: Giyane | Jun 28 2024 18:35 utc | 49

Giyane,
Hindu religion is the oldest religion by far, something like 5,000 years of continuous practice. Judaism as practiced currently is barely 1,000 years old, maybe even less than 500 years. But that’s not relevant to the topic of peace and reconciliation

Giyane@49 “It’s the job of the Jews to invert the development of human spirituality by injecting backward thinking into every cult. This is centuries old tradition to prevent any other religious perception from overtaking their own 6000 year old cult based on the Talmud.” Don’t know where Exile @50 got the dates, the Palestinian or Jerusalem Talmud was put together (it’s a collection of legal opinions for one thing, so the usual word is “redacted,”) circa 400AD.
Nobody bases their “cult” on a collection compiled centuries later. This is just more cryptofascist BS.

No difference between Biden, Trump or RFKjr on Israel:
Exclusive: US has sent Israel thousands of 2,000-pound bombs since Oct. 7 Reuters

The Biden administration has sent to Israel large numbers of munitions, including more than 10,000 highly destructive 2,000-pound bombs and thousands of Hellfire missiles, since the start of the war in Gaza, said two U.S. officials briefed on an updated list of weapons shipments.
Between the war’s start last October and recent days, the United States has transferred at least 14,000 of the MK-84 2,000-pound bombs, 6,500 500-pound bombs, 3,000 Hellfire precision-guided air-to-ground missiles, 1,000 bunker-buster bombs, 2,600 air-dropped small-diameter bombs, and other munitions, according to the officials, who were not authorized to speak publicly.

So the genocide continues. Or are these for Hezbollah?

The Israeli Media Company Haaretz Reports that Official Documents Reveal that Israel Had Prior Knowledge of the October 7 Hamas Attack
Paul Craig Roberts
https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-06-18/ty-article/report-new-evidence-reveals-idf-had-detailed-prior-knowledge-of-hamas-plan-to-raid-israel/00000190-2afb-d2de-af9e-6ffbdf700000
This confirms what I reported at the time, but there is more to the story. Not only did Israel know in advance, Israel participated in the attack upon itself. Several Israeli intelligence officials and commanders of sections of the barrier separating Israel from Gaza have made it clear that it is impossible to even approach, much less penetrate, the barrier without detection. For the October 7 Hamas attack to succeed, the barrier’s alarms had to be turned off and barrier patrols stood down.
At the time I speculated that there was also involvement of the US neoconservatives in the Biden regime. It was a conspiracy with three aims: (1) to solve Netanyahu’s legal and political problems with a crisis; (2) to bring about a final solution to the Palestinian problem, and (3) to expand the war into Lebanon, thus leading to the much desired attack on Iran. Why else were US carrier task forces, fighter aircraft, and troops immediately deployed in the area? Certainly not to help Israel in Gaza.
There is a lot more to this story to come out.

This article in the original Hebrew is quite interesting and different from the English version likewise posted by Haaretz. The author is the world famous Israeli historian Benny Morris, but only in the Hebrew version of his editorial does Morris call for a preemptive nuclear strike against Iranian “civilian” nuclear infrastructure *now* or in the near future, lest Iran develop nuclear weapons of its own, by which time the Israeli/Zionist project would be doomed.

The Court hearings were pre-determined by the US Department of Justice (DOD) Instructions contained in the Letter.
American Jurisprudence requires a Court Judge who is independent and cannot under any circumstances be receiving instructions from the DoD prosecutors.
The DoD Letter Overrides the Responsibility of the District Court Judge. It scraps the fundamental premise of Judicial Independence. Moreover, the Judge is NOT ALLOWED to make a statement or judgement in Support of Free Speech.

An inconsistency.

Over 200 Palestinians displaced from Gaza have been given apartments in a newly built neighborhood of Grozny, the capital of Russia’s Muslim-majority Chechen Republic, regional leader Ramzan Kadyrov has announced.
A foundation run by Kadyrov’s mother Aymani commissioned the construction of the five apartment buildings, to permanently house refugees welcomed to the Russian region last November.
“Congratulations to the Palestinian brothers and sisters on finding new comfortable housing! I wish them never to see war again, to live in plenty and prosper!” Kadyrov said in a statement on Friday.
The refugees, who were initially housed in at the Gorny Klyuch children’s resort southeast of Grozny will now move into a ‘cottage community’ in the Visaitovsky District of the Chechen capital, where 209 people will live in 40 new apartments, Kadyrov said.
According to the Chechen head, construction of the complex took about six months. During this time, 55 of the Palestinians found jobs, while their children and teenagers were placed in schools and universities. All of them have been studying Russian.
“Our immediate plans include the creation of a Palestinian community in the Chechen Republic so that refugees can preserve their national identity,” Kadyrov added.

This one is funny!

A barrier stretching the entire border between Israel and the Gaza Strip has been completed after three and a half years of work, the Defense Ministry announced Tuesday.
The barrier is 65 kilometers long, and cost an estimated 3.5 billion shekels ($1.11 billion) to build. Its development was announced in 2016, two years after Hamas used underground tunnels to target Israeli troops during fighting between Israel and the militant group.
The barrier features a sensor-equipped underground wall, a six-meter high above-ground fence, and a barrier at sea with monitoring equipment to detect incursions from the water. In addition, the wall includes remotely controlled weapons systems and an array of radar systems with cameras that cover the entire territory of the Gaza Strip.
Israel also built control rooms for the army’s battalions, brigades and the division serving in the Gaza Strip to direct fighting and operations. Advanced intelligence and monitoring systems were installed along the barrier to prevent infiltration across the border into Israel from the Gaza Strip.
The barrier is a complex engineering and technological system: the only one of its kind in the world. Alongside Israeli experts, global professionals were needed to help its construction, particularly from Europe.
Brig. Gen. Eran Ofir, the head of the border barrier project in the Defense Ministry, said in a briefing with military correspondents that the barrier was “one of the most complex projects the defense establishment has ever built.”
Underneath the tall metal fence is an underground barrier meant to prevent militants from digging tunnels under the border into Israel. The Defense Ministry did not say exactly how deep the barrier went underground for security reasons, but it includes sensors to warn Israel when something nears the concrete wall.

Channel 12 also reported Monday that a TV drama series broadcast last year on Hamas TV that featured terrorists infiltrating Israel was publicly hailed by Hamas’s Gaza chief Yahya Sinwar as “an inseparable part of what we are preparing.”
Hamas TV broadcast the series during Ramadan in late spring 2022, the report said. It dramatized an attack on Israel featuring the use of white pickup trucks, the disabling of Israeli communications, and the targeting of kibbutzim and IDF bases — including the Re’im base where the IDF Gaza Division is located. It also showed soldiers being kidnapped, and the establishment of a Palestinian base at an IDF base.
Along with footage from the Hamas show, the Israeli network showed a clip from a televised award ceremony held in Gaza later in 2022, at which Sinwar handed out prizes to the show’s producers.
“This series is an inseparable part of what we are preparing — the great preparations we are making with our brothers in the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades,” he was shown saying, referring to Hamas’s military wing. Sinwar cited “the weaponry that they are producing” and their “intelligence gathering.”
Hamas’s military wing, he said, “is absolutely planning for the liberation and return.”

@Posted by: Exile | Jun 29 2024 13:36 utc | 75
Indeed. I have been thinking along those lines too.
(a lot of whatifs to follow)
Does Iran no longer fear Israel’s nukes?
Let me explain.
WhatIf Pepe Escobar was correct when he reported that Russia shot down a nuke carrying Israeli F-35
that was on it’s way to Iran.
What back channel negotiations took place following that incidence?
Russia couldn’t hope to continue just swatting at Israeli flies as they approached Iran.
One would get through eventually – an untenable situation.
Whatif Russia laid down the law. “No one is using nukes against anyone else. If they do then
they get equal from Russia right back; immediately, with no delay or warning.”
Iran has been in the postion all these years that if they were **actually** – for real, not some NYT
mockingbird accusations, but for real – then Israel would certainly act.
Now, if Russia *did* create new rules about the use of nukes then Iran would be safe(r) to move forward with their nuke development.
Once Iran has nukes then your original question comes into play.
What happens when Israel is no longer feared ?
Just two days ago the NYT published another Iran/nukes article.
Remember that commercial, “is it the real thing or is it Memorex?”?
Same old, same old from the NYT or is it for real this time?

As Iran Picks a President, a Nuclear Shift: Open Talk About Building the Bomb

ZH has aposting up with the title
Iran Threatens Israel With ‘Obliterating War’ If It Attacks Lebanon
the quote

Iran’s mission to the United Nations has put Israel and the world on notice, saying that if Israel launches an all-out war against Hezbollah in Lebanon the whole region will burn.
A Friday statement from Iran’s ambassador warned the UN that any “full-scale military aggression” in Lebanon against Hezbollah will mean that “an obliterating war will ensue.”
The Iranian statement continued by emphasizing that “all options, including the full involvement of all resistance fronts, are on the table” in a statement posted to X.
By “resistance fronts” Tehran means the militias it supports in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen will also ramp up their military activities. On a few occasions, Iraqi Shia militias have launched missiles and drones against southern Israel, as have the Houthis, with limited effect.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has acknowledged this week that a “seven front war” could open up, in reference to all of Iran’s proxies across the region.
For years already, Israeli jets have been regularly attacking ‘Iranian assets’ inside Damascus, also in a continued effort to weaken Assad, despite the presence of Russia’s military primarily in the northwest coastal region.
Israel has meanwhile continued to pound Hezbollah positions in south Lebanon, amid continued fears of a bigger war at any moment. The US has even sent amphibious military ships closer to Israel and Lebanon in the Eastern Mediterranean to be ready to evacuate Americans if a bigger conflict ensues.
The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper wrote Saturday, “In the past few hours, warplanes attacked several Hezbollah targets, including a military site for the organisation in the Zabqin area, two operational infrastructure sites in the Khiam area, and a Hezbollah building in the al-Adissa [Odaisseh] area.”

Can barflies see over the edge yet?

We have a weapon that breaks the equation: The Americans, the British and the Germans help us on the intelligence side. . Their help is important, in the event of an attack on Israel, we have a doomsday weapon”

JUST IN: Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir:
The Palestinian prisoners must be killed by shooting them in the head, and until passing this law of execution of Palestinian prisoners, we will give them little to live on.

ICC Decision on Arrest Warrants For Israeli Officials Delayed By UK
The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) decision over potential arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant will be delayed for weeks after the UK requested a review by the court on whether it has jurisdiction over Israeli citizens.
The request by the UK tracks closely with arguments made by the Israeli government that international agreements take precedence over the ICC. The Oslo Accords stipulated that the Palestinian Authority has no criminal jurisdiction over Israelis. Since the Palestinian Authority requested that the ICC open an investigation, Israel argues that it violated the agreement.
The UK holds a special “friend of the court” status that enabled them to issue the request. Israel is unable to because it is not a member of the court. Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli paper who first reported on the UK request said that “it is believed that the UK’s move was made at Israel’s request,” and speculated that other countries are being recruited to support the UK review…

It will be interesting to see the changes, if any, in policy direction towards Israel and Palestine by the new incoming British government.

Yes, I read that on the 27th. Gvir has already reduced the food allowed to the Palestinian prisoners. They weren’t getting anything like enough calories to maintain healthy life to start with – now the intention is to starve the prisoners until the new law allowing execution without trial is passed. Gvir says this will serve as a deterrent to other Palestinians who might be thinking of engaging in “terrorist activity”.
Brief article from Middleeasteye on 27 June:
————-
Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir says he has ordered a further reduction in the amount of food offered to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
After 7 October, Ben Gvir closed prison canteens and kitchens, leaving Palestinian detainees entirely reliant on the prisons themselves for food.
Following dozens of testimonies from security prisoners and detainees describing that the Prison Service has significantly reduced their food rations, to the point of starvation, causing them to shed dozens of kilograms, a petition was filed by the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI).
The petition is being heard on Wednesday by the High Court of Justice.
In a letter to the petitioners, Ben Gvir wrote that the reduction of food given to prisoners was meant for deterrent purposes.
“There is no starvation, but my policy does call for reducing conditions, including food and calories,” the letter reads.
He also wrote that “the changes in incarceration conditions, including the changes in food, are directly affecting deterrence, with potential assailants abstaining from committing terrorist actions so as not to be put in ‘the occupation’s prisons’.”
ACRI has challenged the food restrictions in court, arguing they amount to a policy of starvation.

That’s was absolutely disgraceful . To think they can even legislate extermination. The UK arguing there’s no IJC/ICC jurisdiction is equally disgraceful. But we get to see the civilizations behaving in their pure forms. The absolute sub human ideology that allows a society to accept such statements.

The Talmud was compiled around 400 BC as justification for the Jewish bad behaviour that God had punished them for by the Captivity 600 BC. They were kicking against the pricks instead of submitting to God’s Will.
The Messiah pbuh was sent to talk some sense into them.
Still not listening, they were kicked out of Palestine by Rome.
Still not listening, they will be kicked out of Palestine permanently soon. Them and the CIA.
The CIA comes along about two millennia later.

A tank or two here or there does not a win make. The Apartheid State wields a free hand across the middle east. Still bombing here there and everywhere, at will, and with the support of many of the world major governments, regardless of how their citizens feel or protest. With civil infrastructure untouched and humming along, Palestinians are still dying by the front end loader bucket full.
