Ukraine: 'Shot Down' Drones Hit Targets

Reports of damage caused by Russian drones in Ukraine are regularly followed by reports which claim that all drones were shot down.

Via Strana (machine translations):

Russians hit Konotop and Shostka power facilities in Sumy region

08:22, today

Last night, Russian troops launched an air strike on the energy facilities of Konotop and Shostka in the Sumy region.

This is reported by the Sumy OVA. "The enemy launched an air strike, using a Shahed-type UAV, on the energy facilities of the cities of Shostka and Konotop," the report says.

Currently, work is underway to restore power supply, which was cut off due to an enemy strike.

Also in the OVA reported that over the Sumy region this night destroyed 7 enemy UAVs of the type "Shahed".

Ukrenergo reported that Sumy and the surrounding areas remain without electricity after the night attack of "Shahids".

---

Air forces destroyed all 24 Shaheds that attacked Ukraine

09:00, today

On the night of Wednesday, May 22, Russia attacked Ukraine with 24 strike UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type. This is reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to shoot down all 24 Shaheds," the report says.
Strike UAVs were destroyed in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Sumy and Odessa regions.

Recall that at night, Russian troops launched an air strike on the energy facilities of Konotop and Shostka in the Sumy region.
Sumy and surrounding areas remain without electricity after the night attack of "Shahids".

I will concede that debris of a shot down drone can still cause damage. But when the 'debris' of a 'shot down' drone is causing the intended damage when it hits its target was it really shot down?

Who do they think they are kidding with this?

There was an Irish "journalist" on RTE radio here last week, the national broadcaster, reacting with incredulity to the idea that Ukraine is losing.

So, precisely this kind of blathering idiot who presents the nation with "news" and has the whole country thinking that Russia is losing etc

Repeated and regurgitated by millions.

Then you have the Irish government pushing for Ukraine EU accession talks as soon as possible. All while struggling with a calamity on our doorstep of housing over 100,000 Ukrainian "refugees" in the middle of a national housing crisis that has thousands of Irish citizens homeless.

It might be harsh but Ukrainians need to suffer a lot more, and I mean a big lot more, in order for survivors to learn how to be good neighbors to Russia. There is no other way after what they have done, in terms of stupidity (general populace), fanaticism (neonazi hooligans), and corruption (government and armed forces).

Hopefully it won't be a lesson like the formerly cruel and fanatic Japanese received in August 45, but it should be a harsh enough lesson so they would never consider again becoming a far away power's bitch instead of good neighbor to the power they share a border with.

A lesson in dignity and honor. They have to learn that it is dishonorable to antagonize your bigger, more powerful neighbor and then go about asking for help, crying, bitching and lying playing the victim. A disgrace of a nation.

<= I can't think of better more qualified replacement.. does anybody have access to the actual incoming NATO receipts (broken down and classified according to country that made the contribution and by other sources) and disbursements for the past few years? It would be interesting to see these numbers before changes are made?

Is the replacement of Stoltenberg planned to happen before or after Biden's term in office? How does the appointment of the head of NATO happen?

The same lesson by suffering will be necessary for the USA and Zionistan with their unbelievable arrogance of exceptionalism. This is the worst feature of nationalism: exceptionalism. Whenever a nation or people comes to believe in its exceptionalism and thus a higher right to dominate, doom follows.

As long as even two or three out of ten people believe it (because they want to believe it) and the media has something to report that goes along with the narrative, then the propaganda has successfully achieved its objectives.

today the german handelsblatt had an interesting article, about where someone could invest within the ukraine. and it lists a whole sort of different things, but the most interesting part was this little passage at the end:

Some potential depends on how much of its territory Ukraine gets back after the end of the war. Several deposits of critical raw materials are located in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which Russia has controlled since 2014. The metal industry is also concentrated in the east of the country.

Ukraine is one of those places where the modern art of narrative management meets physical limits unrecognized by postmodernity. Hegemonic happytalk replaced facts-on-the-ground so long ago, it becomes difficult to discern how much hard reality putative actors themselves are allowed to imbibe. Zelensky screams at his generals a lot lately, they say, for gilding the lily.

Seriously: to the postmodern pathology of the US State Department, their deliberate spin is all that matters. There is no earthly reality to worry about. Aspects such as Ukraine's male population being mainly dead, wounded, or outta there? What was the question?

Ukraine and Israel are where record-breaking cognitive dissonance burns the hottest, as Perception Management continually drifts farther and farther from Life on Earth. In places like this, we can focus the camera at a bubbling cancerous lesion of global insanity.

Tom Tomorrow's This Modern World similarly exploits passive voice to patch absurdities generated by the war at home:

Nuland as head of Nato is probably a way to dispose of Nato even faster than the quisling Stoltenberg can achieve.

Forwarded from Slavyangrad

I was approached by relatives of the 110th OMBR of the NATO PMC "VSU" and having provided evidence told me what happened from May 17 to 18 in the area of Gornyak, which is 30 km from Donetsk, about 12 km from the front line.

The unit of 110 OMBR received an order to attack, but the commanders decided that the order was criminal and against the background of the end of Zelensky's legitimacy it was not necessary to fulfill it, but to go to Kiev, to restore order.

Thus, a unit with about 200 soldiers of the NATO PMC "VSU" refused to carry out the order and began to negotiate with other units on the need to "deal with the traitors in Kiev".

However, as it turned out, for such cases in that area there was a unit "Wolves Da Vinci" from 67 OMBR, which served as a barricade and "fire department in case of riots", consisting of selected ultra-nationalists and foreigners.

A battle ensued, the 110 OMBR unit lost about 80 men, many wounded, and about 20 men managed to escape and deserted their positions. The Nazi unit "Wolves Da Vinci" lost about 15 mercenaries.

Thus, ultra-nationalists from 67 OMBR killed 80 Ukrainians from 110 OMBR who did not want to just go to die as silent slaves, relatives of the killed believe that people should know the truth.

All participants of the incident from the 110th OMBR are now kept in the basement, they take non-disclosure bonds from them, they are persuaded by violence and reprisals against their families. They say "state secret", although, in fact, it is just a mass murder.

Practically all the officers of the "AFU" who wish to do so can get to the truth about the incident, despite the "secrecy", in order to make sure of what has been written. There is a place, time and units, but most likely, the slave instinct will take over, just like the devils from the killing squad "Da Vinci Wolves".

After all, it seems safer and more comfortable to serve NATO occupiers than to go to Kiev to restore order....

Ursula VDL has just announced that EU considers Ze as a legitimate president, regardless of ~10-15 % popularity and de-facto dictatorship status.

This is interesting, because you can also deduce that Nato/West has no one else they can really rely on to keep control over Ukraine. Ze now has to take personal responsibility for events on the front, and all implementation of mobilization in Ukraine, and with a low popularity is quite susceptible for a Maidan III event.

But we will have to wait and see. Clearly this thing is running late in its life cycle.

Wow. Just Wow. If I have learned anything in the last two years, it is how much the Soviets accomplished in the short time they were in power, and not under attack.

Electrical system that provides far more energy than needed and is difficult to destroy. Factories, subways, hospitals, and apartment buildings built to withstand bombings. Dams and water systems built to last. Railroads everywhere.
All of Ukraine is living off the heritage of their Soviet past.

And there are people who don't learn? Who can read about the robust infrastructure, clearly built to withstand a US attack, and still cling to the 80s propaganda they swallowed whole?
Where are the bomb shelters in the USA? Under the school desks. It is very clear, (at least to me, because I can learn), which country expected to be bombed, and which country expected to do the bombing.

Do you also believe that no one worked in the USSR? "We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us" is how the propaganda goes, as I recall.

I used to believe it also, but I am capable of changing my beliefs when I see actual facts that contradict what I have been fed.

Norwegian deals wth the Nuland matter: this is ode of the juciest patronage positions in Europe and there is no way that all the hungry former Premiers etc are going to stand aside for a woman of proven incompetence. This is a bread and butter question and the candidates for the preize are not only lined up but each has a resume of the indignities suffered for the eventual reward.

Aurelien has a terrific essay today:

"... The Russians have proved themselves (to no-one’s surprise if they study history) to be quick to adapt their tactics, and modify and introduce new weapons. The West has not. Thus, we now see the Ukrainians frantically transferring forces this way and that to meet the latest attack, and neither they nor their western sponsors are sure which attacks are real and which are feints. Indeed, it’s doubtful whether Ukraine and the West have ever had the initiative in this war: even the celebrated offensive of 2023, I would suggest, was essentially forced on Ukraine by the Russians as a way of further depleting their own military, and the western aid they had received.

"....It’s notoriously the case that western militaries have allowed their capacity to fight conventional high-intensity wars to evaporate almost to nothing. As I’ve often pointed out, that’s fine so long as you don’t set out to antagonise a large state that hasn’t. As you’ll realise from the discussion so far, NATO would face enormous problems of coordination, doctrine and force generation, even if it could agree an objective. Its troops are not trained for this kind of war and have never operated together. But the units are there, aren’t they? And the equipment?

"Not really.....the West would be hard-pressed to field a force more powerful than the reported nine Brigades trained and equipped by the West for the Great Offensive of 2023, which just bounced off the Russian forces without achieving anything of note. And those Brigades contained a number of experienced units and commanders. A NATO force would have to cover long distances, without air cover or protection against long-range attack, just to be in position to fight. And much of its equipment would be no better than, or even inferior to, that of the units in the 2023 attacks..."

The Ansar Allah movement publishes footage of the destruction of the fifth American MQ-9 Reaper UAV in Yemeni airspace.

The drone was shot down in the province of Al Beiba.

https://t.me/milinfolive/122711

Against the backdrop of the loss of another MQ-9A Reaper UAV, the US Air Force began using new and relatively inexpensive ULTRA long-range and long-endurance gliding UAVs in the Middle East.

ULTRA differs from other aircraft in its class with its unique flight duration and range, allowing you to spend up to 80 hours in the air. The drone is intended exclusively for reconnaissance operations, without the use of any weapons. For this purpose, an optical-electronic station with the necessary characteristics is installed under the fuselage. The payload of the UAV is 180 kg. ULTRA is equipped with all modern control and communication systems. The autopilot is capable of automatically following a given route or executing operator commands from a distance.

On May 7, the US Air Force press service published an interesting set of photographs showing the preparation for takeoff of the ULTRA UAV. The photographs were taken earlier in the day at an undesignated airbase in the Central Command area of responsibility. However, based on certain signs, it was possible to establish that the base was located in Al Dhafra, UAE. The MQ-9A Reaper ER UAVs are based on the same base. Modification ER (Extended Range) - has external fuel tanks, a new fuel supply control system and other changes that help increase flight duration from 27 to 33–35 hours.

The ULTRA UAV was developed by AFRL (Air Force Research Laboratory) and Dzyne Technologies as part of the ULTRA (Unmanned Long-endurance Tactical Reconnaissance Aircraft) program of the same name.

Video of the enemy using a new type of BEC armed with unguided missiles.

In this footage, a Ukrainian unmanned boat fires at Russian positions in the Kinburn Spit area using rockets mounted on the roof.

In itself, this type of ammunition is not very dangerous, however, given the pathological reluctance of the Russian Aerospace Forces command to perceive objective reality and solve the problem of shelters for aviation, floating MLRS can sparkle with completely different colors.

For example, similar BEC with NURS can quietly approach the Saki airfield, located right off the coast of Crimea, and fire at open parking lots with aircraft, potentially causing no less damage than several ATACMS missiles at once.

Another trump card in the fight against Iraqi air defense in 1991 was not only specialized aircraft or special tactics. But the United States also has a group of “listening satellites” (spacecraft of the MAGNUM and CHALET types) to open working radars, radio communication centers (including the Iraqi Air Force and Air Defense), etc.

Satellites with 38-meter antennas were in geostationary orbits, which allowed each satellite to be in the same position relative to the observed part of the planet. Therefore, from August 1990 until the end of the military operation in 1991, instead of observing a large part of the globe, one of these satellites scanned air activity only from the territories of Iraq and Kuwait. 24 by 7, day after day, week after week, month after month. This also applied to the operating modes of the radar (including those from the air defense system), and the operation of all possible radio networks, dispatch services, and air traffic control centers. The patterns of the position of communication nodes and much more were monitored not only in the electromagnetic range, but also in geographical location. Moreover, the latter are accurate enough to carry out detailed additional reconnaissance with other types of satellites.

And what is especially important, unlike airplanes or ground posts, a satellite in geostationary orbit could continuously monitor remote areas of central Iraq (from coalition-controlled borders) for months. The information received was processed by both machine analysis and intelligence analysts.

As a result, by the start of operations to suppress air defense and disorganize the command and control and communications of the Iraqi armed forces, their opening was ensured with a sufficient degree of completeness. These space instruments were also used during the operation. For example, for hunting previously inactive communication nodes, etc.

But Russian mass military and supposedly “patriotic” thought during the debate about the 1991 war was not discussed for decades about orbital groups, but rather quoted stories about the Arabs.

Until 2022, the Russian Armed Forces themselves encountered an enemy assisted by US space reconnaissance.

The fate of the world could be decided in Ukraine'
.
A few days ago, Dugin wrote an article for the Russian news agency RIA, which I came across because RT-DE translated it. In the article, Dugin listed the “values” of the collective West. Dugin wrote:

“The modern collective West stands firmly on the side:
of absolute individualism;
LGBT and gender politics;
of cosmopolitanism;
the “cancel culture”;
of posthumanism;
unrestricted migration;
the destruction of all forms of identity;
critical race theory;
the relativistic and nihilistic philosophy of postmodernism.”

Dugin wrote in his article that the fate of the world will be decided in Ukraine because the struggle for the values that will determine the future is being decided there. I completely agree with the statement, but I think that the fight for values does not end with the war in Ukraine, but that it only ends at the moment when either the USA is pushed out of Europe, or when the US -led West should succeed in destroying Russia as a state.

But in my opinion, Dugin is right about one thing: If the US-led West succeeds in defeating Russia, the US should be able to impose its “values” on the rest of the world. If the US cannot defeat Russia, then the non-Western world will not allow these “values” to be imposed on it.

Since I find Dugin's compilation of Western "values" quite apt, let's take a closer look at what these things actually mean and why Russia takes the opposite position on all the issues.
.

"Reports of damage caused by Russian drones in Ukraine are regularly followed by reports which claim that all drones were shot down."

Both are true. Come on, it is a well-known fact that the Ukrainians destroy Russian drones and missiles with targets! Proof: the debris of the Russian drones/missiles on top of the targets.
This makes the Ukrainians less dependent of US/NATO weapons because as long as there are still targets left in Ukraine, that's all they need to tempt the Russians to destroy their own drones hitting them.

Then you have the Irish government pushing for Ukraine EU accession talks as soon as possible. All while struggling with a calamity on our doorstep of housing over 100,000 Ukrainian "refugees" in the middle of a national housing crisis that has thousands of Irish citizens homeless.

We are ruled by absolute morons.

=============================
It's understandable. Adding sick man Ukraine to the EU would make it an even greater disaster than it already is. The EU is such a mess without a solution in sight that some of its members feel like a friend of mine who had had a miserable cold that never seemed to end and in despair said: I wish this would turn into pneumonia because that can be cured by aggressive antibiotic treatment..

Posted by: ariadna | May 22 2024 15:50 utc | 52

Of course the Ukrainains say they shoot down everything Russia throws at them. Frankly I would be surprised if they admitted some got through.

First off you don't do the enemy's bomb damage assessment for the enemy ... that's their job. If the Ukrainians listed off what the Russians hit and what damage those strikes did they would be idiots. The same goes for the Russians, USA or any army at war. Remember Scud hunting back in '91 ... the 98% reported success rate for Patriot missile batteries which was show to be closer to zero after the war?

Second few are willing to die for a lost cause. You want to keep the public and your armed forces believing the cause is achievable.

Propaganda is a legitimate and very important arm of the armed forces.

The enemy is always dehumanized ... orcs vs pigs in the case of the SMO.

God is always on your side ... even Stalin resurrected the church for the Great patriotic war.

You side retreats with a valiant rear guard mowing down attackers while the enemy runs away in disarray.

The Russians under report damages as well ... their claims aren't quite as exaggerated as the Ukrainian claims but they do it none the less.

Does anyone here subscribe to the theory that Nuland is being prepped to replace Stoltenberg as head of Nato?
Posted by: DB | May 22 2024 11:25 utc | 11

Completely impossible. This can only be someone who speaks English with a strong foreign accent so that people believe that it is not just the USA that has something to say in NATO.
Sure, they could try a little harder to fool people in the West.

Could affect what happens in both Ukraine and Gaza to some extent --- UK PM Sunak is suddenly
declaring there will be a UK general election, probably on the 4th of July (rather suspicious dating, that) 2024.

It may well be that certain agencies related to foreign powers are keen for George Galloway's "Workers Party" -- for which public support was rapidly increasing -- to not have sufficient time to properly organise its campaign.

All other available UK parties are to varying degrees utter crap, and Starmer (who will likely win) is an even worse nightmare than previous PMs.

The ability of the West to print money and their will to finance the war + Ukrainian high motivation to fight to death would make this war last very long.
Yes, Ukrainians are hiding from the mobilisation, but those mobilised are fighting like devils.

There are no signs of discontent, no mutinies.

I am repeating this as many people here are contantly repeating that " the war is practicly over and Russia has won it"

.
The Duma will probably vote tomorrow on terminating the 2+4 contract, with what consequences for the EU and especially Germany?
.
In the worst case, this is tantamount to a declaration of war!

Do the elites know more about how things can and will develop?
.
Should things develop like this? Is that the goal of the West?

Example of how stupid the Germans are considered.
.
Dozens of reporters from several German, US, Danish and Norwegian media outlets were busy throughout 2023 with the “most confusing spy thriller of our time” on the alleged Ukrainian sabotage command on the sailing yacht “Andromeda”. According to a Ukrainian ex-secret service agent, they followed a trail laid by the CIA.
.
German media consumers certainly remember the elaborate reports about a suspected sabotage commando from Ukraine that traveled with the sailing yacht named “Andromeda” in September 2022 to blow up the two gas pipelines on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Reports about the search for those involved have almost developed into a genre of their own. Der Spiegel even used almost 20 of its employees for a report: A team rented the same yacht to sail along the route of the alleged perpetrators and ZDF made a film about it.

The US's latest disinformation campaign about the attack on Nord Stream was planned
analysis
The US's latest disinformation campaign about the attack on Nord Stream was planned
Dozens of journalists from at least seven countries were involved in “processing” the Ukrainian trail in the Nord Stream blast. The articles were also published in a coordinated manner by all the media involved: Süddeutsche, Spiegel, NDR, WDR and the others - in portions in March, May, July, August and September. The campaign, which began with the articles in Die Zeit, Tagesschau and the New York Times on March 7, 2023, came to an abrupt end on November 8 with the Spiegel report about the alleged commander of the sabotage group. The scapegoat, the "daring secret service agent" named Roman Chervinsky, had already been in Ukrainian custody for several weeks at that moment for another offense.

After this report, there was suddenly calm about the “most confusing spy thriller of our time” – that’s how the reporters always described their “investigation”. The “Andromeda” project cost at least six-figure sums from the more than a dozen media outlets involved, but produced nothing of substance. Of course, the journalists from the quality media, as in this case from Süddeutsche, have repeatedly asked themselves:

"Was it all just a big deception? Or are the investigators following leads deliberately laid by others - so is it a so-called 'false flag operation'?"

But this was only a rhetorical question, because the answer was already known: "The investigators have no evidence that anyone has laid a false trail."

If the investigators only follow the clues given to them by the most powerful secret service in the world, of course nothing else can come out of it other than this conclusion. At least since a publication by investigative journalist Seymour Hersh on March 22, 2023 - a good two weeks after the first publications in the German and US media on March 7 - about a yacht loaded with explosives, it has been known what was actually going on with the Ukrainian one has a trace on it.

New fairy tales about Nord Stream or: The Berlin cocoa drinkers
Opinion
New fairy tales about Nord Stream or: The Berlin cocoa drinkers
Hersh recalled that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the United States in early March and had an 80-minute meeting with President Joe Biden, most of which was not even attended by their advisers. There was no official statement at the end of the conversation, but according to a source with access to secret diplomatic documents, it was about "exposing the issue of gas pipelines."

Hersh stated (RT DE reported) that after the meeting between the two statesmen, CIA employees were instructed to prepare a diversionary maneuver together with a German secret service. This consisted of providing the US and German press with an alternative version of the Nord Stream explosion. The journalist pointed out that Biden made a foolish decision about sabotage and was now forced to lie about it.

But the alternative version was not a “total fabrication of U.S. intelligence,” as Hersh wrote at the time. It was a long-prepared hidden card in the long, orchestrated CIA game with the world public. In the end it was definitely an invention, but the Ukrainian "sabotage group" that was supposed to imitate the attack was real and the leads that the German quality journalists followed in their extensive research over many months have US specialists in deception operations deliberately placed against their German colleagues.
ikels. The annihilation of Palestinians and the unwillingness to investigate Israeli radicals' crimes against the Arab population are at the heart of Israel itself, the newspaper said. This has led to the Western world also perceiving Israel's actions as open aggression.

“How could a young nation turn away from its own democratic ideals so quickly? And at what price? Any meaningful answer to these questions must take into account how half a century of lawlessness, which has gone largely unpunished, has brought a radical form of ultranationalism to the center of Israeli politics,” the American journalists conclude.

This pre-election article, against the backdrop of student protests, essentially explains the theoretical basis for both Biden's criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu and the slogans heard at rallies at American universities. The students reject the accusation of anti-Semitism. “I believe that the State of Israel does not represent the entire Jewish people. Some of our strongest people are here because they recognize that genocide is being committed in their name, and that is unacceptable. So we make a clear distinction between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism is unacceptable, but anti-Zionism, ensuring that the Palestinian people are always at the center, is our first and most important political priority,” emphasizes protesting student Kelly.

And now the Biden administration is already preparing sanctions against the Israeli “Netzach Yehuda” battalion for alleged human rights violations in the occupied West Bank, which is drawing strong criticism from both the Netanyahu government and Israel’s Republican supporters.

But Biden is also waging a war on the front lines in the Far East. In the Rose Garden of the White House, Biden announced another march on China. And again it's all about choice. He quadrupled tariffs on Chinese electric cars and increased import duties on their batteries by 25 percent, as well as on semiconductors, steel and aluminum. “Americans can buy any car they want. Let me make this clear. You can buy gasoline cars, electric cars or hybrid cars, but we will never let China make the rules in this market. Period,” said Joe Biden resolutely.

However, after saying these words, he almost forgot about signing the document on the increase in tariffs. And all of this happened at exactly the same time that the Russian President was visiting Beijing.

Vladimir Putin's visit to China was followed with great attention in the USA. The signs and signals were interpreted correctly. “There was a red carpet to welcome Vladimir Putin, there was a lot of military pomp, but let's be clear: this is not just a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping to showcase this borderless partnership between China and Russia. "It's more about humiliating the West and the US, especially as China seeks to establish itself as the leader of a new world order, a different worldview than the West," emphasized CNN correspondent Mark Stewart.

Donald Trump also couldn't avoid the meeting between the two heads of state. “I saw something today,” Trump said. “And it’s worse than anything. President Xi of China, I know him well, and President Putin of Russia, I know him well. They are currently making plans together about where they will meet and where they will harm us. Because that’s what they ultimately think about: harming us.”

Trump has uttered these and many other words recently at the entrance to the courtroom in New York City where his criminal trial for forgery and his relationships with porn actress Stormy Daniels continues. Between the hearings, Trump managed to get to his son Barron's graduation ceremony at the prestigious private school in Oxbridge. Trump also wanted to include him in his campaign, but his mother Melania did not allow it.

Joe Biden also has his own overlords, which he reminds us at every opportunity. “My name is Joe Biden. I work for Kamala Harris. “I asked her to be my vice president because I knew I needed someone smarter than me,” the 46th US President revealed all his cards.

It is debatable who is the smarter in this election duo of Biden or Harris. The vice president was at his best in her abortion speech. “You have to understand that sometimes doors are opened for you and sometimes they aren’t. So you have to kick down that door! Ha ha ha.”

Biden's cognitive abilities were once again in the spotlight at a House Oversight Committee hearing.
-
.
Biden is supposed to demonstrate these skills in two scheduled TV duels against Trump, which were strangely scheduled.
Knowing full well that Biden would NEVER get through this without embarrassing himself...Opportunity for his own party to take him out of office and the presidential race..
A short time later to send a new candidate into the race!
Michel Obama??

In response to Bemildred@50,

They call them Shaheds residually conforming to the collapsed narrative that Russia is unable to produce its own armaments, particularly drones, and has to rely on Iran for supplies. It's part of the narrative package that Russia has about two weeks worth of ballistic missiles left.

Apparently, using the Russian designation for the drone, Geranium-2, counts as recognition of reality, which is verboten. Unfortunately, all kinds of different drones and munitions end up being referred to as Shaheds in reporting, for the aforementioned propaganda purpose, so unless there are images of the surviving wreckage, there's no way of knowing if and what type of drone was used. Geranium-2's are fairly low yield.

Regarding Nuland, she always has the tough job. What with having to negotiate with the power people in the west. Just imagine how much more could she be efficient in killing ukrainians, europeans, USans, if she was the sole SG of nato, president and vice president of US, EU president, chairman, IMF head, all ICC ICJ justices, UN head, all other heads at the same time! If someone asks who is the current IMF head, answer would be Nuland. Q. current head of nato? A. Nuland. Q. President of US? A. Nuland. Q. judges 1 2 3 4 of ICJ? A. judges 1 2 3 4 all Nuland. Q. husband of Nuland? A. Nuland. Rosiest dream if ever was one.

In short Nuland's dream of killing all ukrainians, europeans, 5-eyes ian and russians and all people on earth is still unfulfilled.

IMO the UK elections debate belongs here, given that it has everything to do with Ukraine (& Gaza).

Six weeks is a short time. Not enough for the Tories to change the outcome & beat Labour.
But that's not the main point imo.
London will do everything to escalate the conflict(s), until either EU states send troops to Ukraine, or open war between Israel and Iran breaks out (in which EUrope would have to support Israel).

If it succeeds, the government change will cover its tracks and allow for a 'fresh start'.
If it doesn't, the plan B to destroy EUrope is called 'Trump'.

@ossi - not sure what you mean re. Germany, France. "As is currently the case..."?

If an MP knocks on my door. (they havent) I'll ask them if they were present in the house of commons during Zelensky's visit to Canada. Then I'll close the door.

Six weeks is a short time. Not enough for the Tories to change the outcome & beat Labour.
But that's not the main point imo.

No, considering the "resilience kit" and the "vanishing royals"

I would just have one major doubt, two scenarios:

1. They intend to make major shit in the next 6 weeks and a retaliatory strike is possible to probable (and if they do think that I'd say it really must be considered from damn certain to "what were you expecting"

2. They already did and were caught red handed, the joke has the same probabilities as above

Did anything major happen apart from the Iranian President "accident"?

P.S. the emergency kit is for 72h of collapsed services... after that move along there will be nothing to see

Emergency kit
British government prepares citizens for a national crisis:

"On May 23, the British Deputy Prime Minister, Oliver Dowden, will inaugurate the Prepare website to advise citizens on how to deal with the crisis. Prepare urges households to prepare an "emergency kit" that includes bottled water and food You won't die enough to survive at least three days without leaving home."

Sunak, as captain of the sinking ship UK, was counting on having a give away budget in September to save his ship. Over the past couple of days the data showed him that UK debt was higher than expected so no budget. He really had no other choice. The UK is in deep trouble, who ever wins will likely wish they hadn't.

Any discussion about war, especially Shapps beating the Ukraine drum, etc is a waste of time.

After all, it seems safer and more comfortable to serve NATO occupiers than to go to Kiev to restore order....

I suspect thousands of azov types and thousands of natoids are enough to remove any threat like that, which in the end is not to preserve Zeli forever but to reveal the entire government is made from actors. It's probably why Macaron is so interested in sending troops. That, and the close to zero damage done outside Donbass, a land waiting for new settlers. And because there is no damage there but in Donbass liberated or not villages end looking like Bakhmut, msm can say they intercept everything Russia sends, but Russia intercepts nothing. UK said a few days ago the war has to continue for only six more years and Russia will surely collapse, "to flatten the curve".

Little Richie plays completely innocent. Just how did the world become such a dangerous place, Little Richie? Reminds me of a line from an old TV comedy show: "OH, did I do that?"

Exactly, Mike R.
And they continue to mess around and pretend to be nice. Now, at this point, they are against free trade:

G7 finance chiefs, meeting in Italy this week, will try to find common ground to boost profits on frozen Russian assets and curb China's growing export strength in key sectors.

This type of behavior simply adds more fuel to the fire! I guarantee that more than Russia, China wants to end the Crime Syndicate!

I fail to understand all this talk about land sales in Ukraine. How does land have value if there are no workers to farm or mine it? Who is going to return and face more kidnapping for whatever army the Bandera fanatics can put together? Or face land mines, unexploded munitions and heavy metal toxins amidst crushing debts?

Or is this just more dumb failure to look more than two moves ahead as with the whole war?

Do the elites know more about how things can and will develop?

They just do not care.
Slowly sinking into WWIII, like in the summer of 1914.

Dima at the Military Summary channel is saying that the Russians have crossed the canal south of Chasiv Yar en masse and have entered the southern outskirts of Chasiv Yar proper. He also says that this has forced the Ukrainians to give up Klischiivka to free up troops to defend Chasiv Yar. If this is true, then the next days/weeks will be a very brutal fight as the Ukies throw everyone still available at defending the city. Its collapse will open the door to Kostyantynivka, the southern end of the Slavyansk/Kramatorsk/Kostyantynivka defensive lines, and the main supply roads to the Toretsk/NY agglomeration.

The Bloom | Breakthrough West Of Klishchiivka And South Of Staromaiorske

He also notes that a lot of the defensive units around Novomykhailivka were removed to the Northern Front allowing the Russians to take the opportunity to attack Konstyantynivka, which sits on the main road south to both Vesele and Vuhledar. If that road is cut, the south eastern corner of the front will collapse.

The opening of the Northern Front seems to be having the desired effects on the Ukrainian defensive capabilities.

With "agriculture 4.0" or whatever it's called, you basically don't need any workers to farm the land. Ukraine being relatively flat is perfect terrain for hyper-automated monoculture farming.

The bigger question is whether a post-war Ukrainian government (assuming there is one) will recognize land sales during wartime. If it's aligned with Moscow, highly unlikely. (Same goes for debt accrued for war efforts.)

That's probably why western corporations are somewhat careful.
The figures circulating about "30-40% of arable land" bought by foreigners are wrong afaik; it's much less.

If Ukraine is winning so much, then that is why it does not get priority for air defenses, ammo, and money compared to Israel. Right? See, propaganda also has unintended consequences. ;)

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Complain for more, Ukraine. Lean on The West, they already love you to pieces. ;) To pieces, I say.

Very true, I've seen the Russians claim similar things, all objects destroyed, but some debris ect ect. All information is propaganda in war.
