The function of the Shoa Gaza is threefold:
Keep Bibi out of jail
Destroy the smallenim (left wing supporters)
Increase Aliya, or Jewish immigration, by driving antisemitism.
Many commentators seem to be supporting the third objective.
Let’s hope Yom Haatzmaoot goes with no atrocities.

With each and every genocidal assault on the starving people of Gaza, by the I$raeli AirFarce, with planes, bombs and rockets provided by American taxpayers by the agency of Uncle $hmuel; tens of thousands of people all across the planet come to a further realization that the “Chosen People” will require exile from Occupied Palestine.
The whole matter has gone too far, as the face of evil has overcome the Holy Cause myths. There is nothing “special” when it comes to mass murderers and land thieves.
Colonialism and imperialism of all iterations need to be tossed into the garbage bin of history. The Zionist Entity continues to broadcast its satanic face. Ditto the entire Western collective which is dominated by the central bank$ter conspiracy.

Not that regular Israelis focus on it or even know about it. But their rulers partner with foreign bloodthirsty agreement-incapable people who insist on using Israel to project force into the ME, finance and spread terror, destabilize, maintain chaos, and thus remain in control of the region. With partners like that who will always use Israel as a violent tool, regular Israelis will never find peace.
Ergo, regular Israelis must replace their rulers with people who partner instead with people more interested in doing business with their own abundant resources (materials, STEM grads) than trying to literally murder the competition.
In other words, Israel should partner with the East — distance themselves from the West. Indeed, with all the games the West played on them (e.g., “you’re evidently not safe in so-called Christian Europe so we’re encouraging you to go elsewhere”), they should see their original sponsors like the RoW does: agreement-incapable.
Are any Israeli patriots reading? Violence against your neighbors won’t help you long-term. Work with better partners. Sound drastic and impossible? Well, the current trajectory looks pretty shaky.
Oh, yeah, what’s my hidden agenda? PEACE. Peace and happiness for all.

I neglect to explain how to replace your current rulers. My vote in the West doesn’t count. So why do I hold any hope you can accomplish in your country what I can’t accomplish in mine? Well, yes, we’re probably all fucked. But, you live in a smaller country. Maybe there’s still a little chance that your votes, protest, etc count for something.

I think we struggle with explaining this sad situation in the Middle East
I can sum it up. Jewish people have a right to exist, Israel doesn’t. It was supposed to be a secure homeland for Jews and it isn’t and never was. Its academic achievements could be done anywhere in the West, given Jewish culture’s appreciation of education. Frankly, if they don’t solve the Haredi problem, Israel may fade away in any case – losing the secularist Jews who sustain it.

“Regular” ‘Israelis: can go to hell actually.
Each one should “partner” with a landmine.
The “East” you speak of is what the original inhabitants of the land of Palestine was partnered with before the European settler colonialists came along.

#1 Thank you. Whenever I see the official Hamas #’s of dead I always think of how scrupulously correct their number is of confirmed dead, and cringe at the rubble undercount. I do not have time for youtube. (Gardening, work, 90+ y.o. mother). If anyone comes across a good text site (with graphs maybe) on the undercount I would be deeply appreciative.
I did ace an honours course in physiology back when and the long term effects (from 3 vectors) on kidneys, especially children and elderly, brain stunting, diseases, etc. etc., one just starts to form an analogy conflating Zionism as basically a virulent malignant carcinoma. Carcinomas kill themselves.

We may think it’s Yahya Sinwar directing the Resistance from a bunker deep under Gaza, but Zionists think it’s Adolph Hitler down there. Really! That’s my take-away from reading this piece by Lebanese author Gilbert Achar. He makes several other interesting observations.

Most gnats in the west will forget by September and the new will have moved on to the americans elections. Israel will continue with attacks which will be punctuation to the main headlines and avoid the spotlight. Thank you, thank you so much, people of the the USA and inconsequential pacific islanders.

Ralph Nader has been talking about the undercount for a while. The video discusses his recent tweet that estimated 200,000 deaths based on mortality studies used in comparable conflicts and quoted Dr. Devi Sridhar in a Guardian article estimating 500,000 dead within a year due to the siege. 100,000 bombs have been dropped on Gaza, conservatively estimating 2 deaths per bomb gives 200,000 rather than the 35,000 recorded at the Gaza Health Ministry.
The comments section is usually quite robust on that channel and one commenter said a returning Gaza mission doctor said health workers estimate 2 or 3 times the official count for dead and for ‘under rubble.’
No graphs or more substantive data than this I’m afraid. Hard for additional scrupulously correct (always with name, age, and location) official record keeping when physical population records (as well as hospitals, health, media and aid workers) are bombed.

Everything Israel has done militarily in Gaza has failed… and caused giant cracks in Israeli defence to be showcased…
Today, the world knows the IDF is an ineffective combat force. Its only skill is in repression and oppression of civilians.
The Israeli air force remains a competent organization BUT it can easily be put out of commission by destroying airfields… and we know Iran and Hezbollah have the means to do precisely that.
Israel can NO LONGER insure its survival by military force. It needs a competent diplomacy which it doesn’t have or seem capable of developing.
It is likely Israel is prepared to self-immolate instead of behaving like a real nation.

So people in palestine are supposed to flee south from the Northern part, and North from the southern Part. Where will they meet ? Simple, somewhere near the “port/separation” that is controlled by Israel, and soon by the US.
Why? The US has “promised” to supply tents for the displaced, presumably in a concentrated “camp” to be created under Zionist and US supervision.
What happens then? The camp will use starvation as a means to get obedience and force men into working for them as “traitors”. This is a copycat of the Al-Tanf refugee camp. Men can be more easily manipulated if their families are the ones to suffer first. (Rubakan camp is used as a source of ISIS terrorists to be used in the Syrian desert).
The “pier” area is looking more and more like a military base for US troops. Protected walls and big enough for more than a “few” boots on the ground. Could have Macdonalds and Saunas include for a longer stay. Only US troops need apply for creature comforts.
The US is providing Information (satellite)on the Gazans. it is also supplying bombs. The recent Biden “stop sending bombs” is (possibly a lie. As several air cargos of ammunition with a total weight of 1’760 tons were sent immediately BEFORE his statements. The calculated weight of the ammunition “withheld” is supposed to be 1’720 tons. Co-incidence? The US is a full PART OF the genocide.
The “civilian” Government with Jordan, Emirates and Saudis, all overseen by Netanyahu, obviously lines them up as happy recipients for expulsed palestinians. The Emirates have already said no – as the “secret” plan is so bl**dy obvious.

“Journalist Sohaib Masalmeh
Israeli correspondents witnessed indescribably major battles in Jabalia, where the army was subjected to a major attack and violent resistance that had not occurred for 7 months.
Jabalia Camp is considered the Al-Qassam Fortress in the Gaza Strip, and for about 20 years, the occupation army has not been able to enter deep into the camp. Even during this war, it did not enter the main streets of the camp.
The camp in the Gaza Strip is known as the fortified castle inside the Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigade, which is responsible for Jabalia Camp, is called the “Caliphs Brigade,” and it is considered the fiercest fighting battalion among the Al-Qassam Brigades inside the Strip, followed by the Shuja’iya Brigade.

“Journalist Youssef Fares – Gaza
There are no words to describe the horror of what Jabalia has been experiencing since yesterday. It is a point crowded with more than 170,000 displaced people. Over the past seven months, the camp has turned into a “house of distress that expands for a thousand friends.” The street in which I am sitting now was an image of life that has disturbed the Israelis for a long time. Hundreds of raids and artillery shells rain down on people around the clock. Some flee to preserve what remains of their offspring, and others decide to stay forever. And between those who are stubborn to die and those who leave with tears in their eyes, there remains Jabalia, a mother bidding farewell to those who were displaced and embracing those who remained.

Is Bernie Sanders The Worst?
quote from Chomsky:
“The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion,
but allow very lively debate within that spectrum — even encourage the more critical and dissident views.
That gives people the sense that there’s free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of
the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate.”
The Gaza Genocide should provide several lessons.
Zionism is a psychopathic genocidal idiology whose existence is a disgrace to civilization.
The American People have no power.
Those with power in the US want our votes but not our voices.
Our government and the MIC will do as the lobbyists see fit.
Also, The Slur — of “antisemitism” — has loudly exposed itself for what it always has been –
opportunistic and hypocritical phony outrage, used as a political whip. For heaven’s sake! Now they would have us
believe that protesting mass murder is anti-Jewish!
How do they get away with that one for one second?!
The Slur is being used to intimidate and silence people
about Genocide!
Where does Senator Bernie Sanders sit in all this and what is his role?
I would label him as a gatekeeper of damage control for the Status Quo.
He would set the boundaries of how much people can learn from the experiences of the last
several months.
If you listen to or read what he has to say you will notice that he wants a reset to before October 7th.
Below is a statement Bernie Sanders released on April 25th, 2024.
You will see that he does not, nor will he (as of May 12th), say the word Genocide.
By this we are to believe that Congress is not supporting Genocide.
We see that Bernie wants it both ways, he wants the votes of students and liberals and
he also wants to low ball the amount of casualties in Gaza.
Clearly obvious from his statement is that Bernie wants The Slur to maintain its power as a political whip.
Most of all, Mr Gatekeeper of damage control, wants support for Israel to reset to pre-October 7th levels.
He doesn’t want anyone to see that Israel has proven itself to be psychopathic and genocidal.
Bernie Sanders would have us believe that it is ALL Netanyahu and Netanyahu’s **policies**.
Once Netanyahu has gone we can all go back to pretending that Israel is a fine place deserving of our
freshly printed debt, The Slur is still a powerful political whip and people can vote but not have voices.
Bernie Sanders releases statement in support of Israel
April 25, 2024

No, Mr. Netanyahu. It is not antisemitic or pro-Hamas to point out that in a little over six months your extremist government has killed 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 77,000 – seventy percent of whom are women and children.
It is not antisemitic to point out that your bombing has completely destroyed more than 221,000 housing units in Gaza, leaving more than one million people homeless – almost half the population.
It is not antisemitic to note that your government has obliterated Gaza’s civilian infrastructure – electricity, water, and sewage.
It is not antisemitic to realize that your government has annihilated Gaza’s health care system, knocking 26 hospitals out of service and killing more than 400 health care workers.
It is not antisemitic to condemn your government’s destruction of all of Gaza’s 12 universities and 56 of its schools, with hundreds more damaged, leaving 625,000 students with no education.
It is not antisemitic to agree with virtually every humanitarian organization in saying that your government, in violation of American law, has unreasonably blocked humanitarian aid coming into Gaza, creating the conditions in which hundreds of thousands of children face malnutrition and famine.
Mr. Netanyahu. Antisemitism is a vile and disgusting form of bigotry that has done unspeakable harm to many millions of people.
But, please, do not insult the intelligence of the American people by attempting to distract us from the immoral and illegal war
policies of your extremist and racist government. Do not use antisemitism to deflect attention from the criminal indictment you
are facing in the Israeli courts. It is not antisemitic to hold you accountable for your actions.

Israel’s position on borders was determined by UNSC 242 on November 22, 1967.
Israel supported the resolution because it called on the Arab states to accept Israel’s right “to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.” Israel’s recognized boundaries are the ‘Mandatory Palestine’ borders from the past.
Palestine was not mentioned in 242.
On March 25, 2019, the United States officially recognized the Golan Heights (in Syria) as being under the sovereignty of Israel.

I don’t read any mil or strategy sites just because they are almost all lined up in some way, often out to direct or mislead, and that rubs off on the reader no matter how cynical they are. MoA is one of the few open forums with relatively considerate commentary. However, for military hardware, bases, and in this case participating units, those closest to state tend to be also the most factual (probably selectively factual). Personally I just skirt quickly over that info when I land on any page of that kind.
Google didn’t like my search terms either, as is more and more common, as is just being returned “stock” or commercial links. Bing is microsoft and often as decided. There is a lot of info out there but accessing it (finding it) is harder nowadays. Usually it takes a few searches, e.g. find the name of a brigade, search that up within a timeframe, then from those results a location/author/text/event etc. Even then you end up on sites that are hard to qualify for reliability or bias, at least before reading them more extensively.
Such is the web.

@37 Arch Bungle
Hamas have limited range and accuracy of rockets.
Hezbollah have much more capable weaponry. It appears their strategy so far is to keep up engagement along the Lebanese border, to distract capability from being used on Gaza, to displace population so causing political cost, to wear down defenses (air defence stocks), to test out own capabilities (for example knocking out radar before rocket attacks) and so on. If they make more severe attacks they are I think aware that they would receive a major retaliation, including on Beirut.
In other words it would tip into a new open war along that front. That would actually both eclipse what was occuring in Gaza as well as be used as justification.
Lebanon is a very mixed country, Hezbollah is not a ruling government entity. There are understandings and tolerances, but having the whole country destabilised by acting in a way that brought on a response that affected the whole country is obviously not a small matter either.
I am sure there are many more calculations at hand also, for example the stance Iran chooses at any point.
Either way, there is no secret that Hezbollah will be turned on more fully eventually, unless they just fade away while Gaza is overun, which is not likely.
All of that is part of the uncertainty that is this conflict.

I’m going to be uncharacteristically charitable to Daint Bernard, Sheepdog of the Dim Party, much as he doesn’t deserve it. —
There may well have been a time when he was actually sort of socialist — say, back when he was just mayor of a Vermont college town. But as the great Glen Campbell put it: “There’s been a load of compromisin’ / On the road to my horizon” — and Bernie is now just another Dim Party punkah waver and, well, sheepdog. Maybe he’s so self-deluded as to think he’s a socialist, although he barely qualifies as a progressive, but that need not concern us.
He’s certainly always been a Zionist, so at least there he’s been consistent, but it’s always been career suicide in the USA *not* to be Zionist. So big deal. He’s coming off now like a Meretznik, the useless, lukewarm type that Jesus spat out of his mouth, as should we all (and which for all practical purposes no longer exists in Occupied Palestine either).

Just listened to a 40-minute address by Eric Cohen, CEO of Tikvah, an organization focusing on raising up Jewish young people to “love Israel,” “reform American universities,” “reform Western civilization.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWlJu7eDgnM
The title of Cohen talk was: The Exodus Project: A Jewish Answer to the University Crisis
After enumerating the ways in which Jews are persecuted on America’s elite university campuses and Israel is threatened with genocide, Cohen complained bitterly of “wokism” and “DEI” and “progressivism” and other forms of “nihilism” that have overtaken the universities that, he acknowledged, had been founded by Christians to train up Christian leaders.
Jewish philanthropists poured their wealth into these universities, and Jewish students attended them in large numbers, but they are no longer welcoming places for Jews. Moreover, Cohen said, although the Jewish billionaires are withdrawing their monies from the storied centers, it is not enough: the universities can continue without them.
So Jews must take another course; the end in view is to raise up “proud Jews” who will eventually move to Israel, serve in the army in Israel; raise a family in Israel.
Then Cohen listed and evaluated four possible responses to the “crisis”:
–accommodate to the existing situation
–move to Israel
–dissent
–stay in USA, move to places like Florida, Alabama and Michigan where Jewish students and Jewish studies are welcome and protected.
Only one scant reference was made to Israel’s (genocidal) conflict with Palestinians — that reference contrasted “Hebrew wisdom and civilizational values” with “barbarism.”

Re: Israel’s borders
The sole internationally recognized boundries between the Jewish and Arab states remain those prescribed in UNR 181. 242 describes ceasefire lines.
Also note, UNR 194 plus UNSC 2334 require Israel to pay for damages caused or property taken.
Finally, although the U.S. gov’t has recognized the illegally annexed and ethnically cleansed Golan Heights as part of Israel – the U.S. stands conspicuously alone in this regard. The international community regards the Golan Heights as Syrian territory illegally occupied.

(i) Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict;
Israel continues refuses to comply with this mandate.

Lebanon is a very mixed country, Hezbollah is not a ruling government entity. There are understandings and tolerances, but having the whole country destabilised by acting in a way that brought on a response that affected the whole country is obviously not a small matter either.
Posted by: Ornot | May 13 2024 0:12 utc | 42
Obviously you don’t understand much about Lebanon. In the last elections, Hizbullah won to a fair degree, though I don’t remember the details. (The constitution was fixed by the French, so that the Christians would win, Sunnis second, and the Shi’a would be nowhere). At any rate Hizbullah, according to the results, should have had a role in government, a major role, even in spite of the constitution. But they declined, probably to avoid sanctions that the US would likely impose, and which would impoverish the country (and which has happened anyway). So it is incorrect to say that Hizbullah is not part of the government, it is de facto. Same with the Houthis in Yemen; though they took over the capital and much of the country, they never claimed the government, which theoretical structure is in Aden under Gulf and western control.

And to Todd who asks how there are so many holocaust survivors claiming money. Only this scammer mob could create a special mental illness called generational trauma. It only applies to holocaust peoples as obviously no other trauma matters, well financially anyway. Children of survivors now qualify for payments as their DNA magically carries the memories of their parents. How else does a baby know how to suckle at birth. Another quote from Manchurian Candidate RFK, Jr.
Immediately after Oct 7th RFK, Jr released a statement that
read like it had been written by Netanyahy himself (maybe it was).
Have you wondered whether RFK, Jr has softened his position
after all these nonstop months of Genocide, torturing of UN workers,
the bombing of an embassy, murder of aid workers, generation
of famine, targeting of hospitals, murder of prisoners – women and children……
Here is the latest by the candidate whose campaign manager is a
CIA agent trained specifically in turning people into assets
for the CIA. A candidate handcuffed to the rotting corpse of Jeffrey Epstein.
Has he softened?

I then asked for Mr. Kennedy’s response to Joe Biden’s recent decision to withhold aid from Israel. He told me: “I think Israel’s war is a moral war. They’ve been attacked for 16 years by Hamas. And then, on October 7th, in this, you know, extraordinarily brutal invasion, every nation has a right to self-defense. And, you know, self-defense means destroying Hamas.”
“It’s not Israel’s fault that Hamas uses civilian shields. Any other country, any nation faced with this kind of onslaught from a militarily superior nation, would give up and surrender to save their civilian population. Why is Hamas not doing that?” he added.

” Having been married to a Jewish woman I always found Seinfeld kvetch humor to be like nails on a blackboard.”
For myself, having been married to a Jewish woman and then a Muslim, Kurdish one , the nails from the lies of the first marriage are still embedded there.
At what stage in human history will the Jewish people begin to understand that Jews betrayed other Jews in what we still strangely call the final solution, and Jews are still betraying Jews in 2024.
Are we going to have a Genocide Day to remember how Netanyahu led his people into the red sea with its red heifers crossed with tomatoes, and disgraced his people there?
Germany blames itself for what was in reality a Jewish betrayal of Jews.
How does that happen? Will we all have to blame ourselves for not being able to stop this Jewish genocide?
Whatever they do , the scapegoats always seem to be ready to accept the blame for Jewish bad behaviour.

What is Iran’s red line in Rafah?
Posted by: JAB | May 12 2024 20:08 utc | 29

I don’t know. I monitor PressTV and the www rumor mill several times a week but so far nothing. Therefore Iran’s red line is my deduction from observing the difference between Bibi’s threats vs Bibi’s conduct of Jewrael’s genocide.
The trigger for a direct attack on Jewrael’s military infrastructure by Iran could be as simple as the number of days Jewrael blocks aid to Gaza while continuing to bomb it.
Keep in mind that WHEN Iran attacks Jewrael it will also need to attack AmeriKKKa’s bases in the region to make the dumbass Yankies put their own safety ahead of Jewrael’s safety.

The Givati Brigade and the 401st Brigade
“..,,,Israeli forces continued a “precise operation” targeting Hamas in eastern Rafah on May 12. The IDF Givati Brigade located and destroyed several tunnel shafts and rockets that Palestinian fighters had prepared to fire into Israel. The IDF 401st Brigade identified ten armed Hamas fighters and directed an airstrike targeting them. Israeli soldiers posted photos of the IDF inside the Rafah crossing….”

Arnaud Bertrand
@RnaudBertrand
Former French PM Dominique de Villepin, masterful as usual in his explanation of the current “political deadlock” in Gaza.
https://twitter.com/LCI/status/1789712138316964311/video/1
I translated his words:
“We are today, not only in a humanitarian impasse, but we are in a political deadlock.
Let me just clarify why there is a political deadlock. The political process that the Americans want to initiate… Blinken, we must measure the humiliation made to the Americans, has gone 7 times to this region. And Bill Burns today… All American authorities, President Biden, are mobilized for this. What do they want? They want to establish a special relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia, a normalization of relations by providing a guarantee, a guarantee pact to Saudi Arabia that would justify them taking this step.
What do the Arab countries want, and from this point of view they are united, we don’t hear much from them, but they are diplomatically united. They want recognition of a Palestinian state and this is something that will last.
What does Israel want? Israel, and this is where there is a hidden agenda and this is what is not acceptable, is that the reality of the policy led by Israel and the will of Israel, it is in no way to engage in a peace process. A large part of the fighting that is engaged is done to mask the fact that Israel, at least Benjamin Netanyahu, in no way wants negotiation. And why? Because they want to continue in the path of colonization and continue in the path of creeping annexation of the West Bank…
What do the Arab countries propose today? They have proposals regarding the day after, because this is an essential element of the negotiation and this is where Israel is bogged down for a long time in this affair, because it’s one thing to want to destroy Hamas, it’s another thing to manage the territory afterwards. The Arab countries propose that there be a UN international peace force installed on the ground and that can manage, in connection with the Palestinian Authority, the situation. The Americans, they would like it to be an Arab and American force. We clearly see that no one is on the same wavelength and that we are headed for a drama that lasts.
I would also like us to ask ourselves another question, since you asked me to put myself in the place of the Israelis, let’s now put ourselves in the place of the global public opinion. What is going to happen? The day, I hope as soon as possible, when the gates of Gaza will open. The day this open-air prison, bombarded for 7 months, will reveal its secrets. What will we see, what will we find? Will all this be bearable? The price Israel pays today is its isolation and this too will last. We saw it at the UN with the vote, the decision of the General Assembly, 143 countries out of 193!”
I can’t believe that’s the caliber of Foreign and Prime Minister (he’s been both) we used to have in France and we now have Gabriel Attal and Stéphane Séjourné…

Lindsey Graham has told West Jerusalem to do “whatever” it takes to annihilate Hamas
Israel must do whatever needs to be done to win its “existential” war with Hamas, just like the US was “justified” to drop nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) has claimed.
However, Graham argued in an interview with NBC News on Sunday that Hamas is to blame for the bulk of civilian casualties, and urged Israel to continue fighting until a decisive victory is achieved, no matter the cost.
“When we were faced with destruction as a nation after Pearl Harbor, fighting the Germans and the Japanese, we decided to end the war by bombing Hiroshima, Nagasaki, with nuclear weapons,” Graham stated.
“So, Israel, do whatever you have to do to survive as a Jewish state. Whatever you have to do,” he added.

While Graham did not call for the use of actual nuclear weapons in Gaza, he made a similar controversial comparison during a subcommittee hearing earlier in the week, referring to Israel’s war with Hamas as “Hiroshima and Nagasaki on steroids.”
Give Israel the bombs they need to end the war they can’t afford to lose, and work with them to minimize casualties,” Graham said.

Comment – extensive number of usual attacks – IDF lured into a booby trapped building, 8+ Merkavas struck, a IDF general wounded while being escorted by the ( sad sack ) Nahals. Surprised that the Nahals are still engaged. They were reported to have been relived by 2 weekend warrior brigades ( which were thrashed in first few days of their deployment ). The poor Nahals were left alone for a couple of weeks to fight outnumbered and outgunned. TBD
Video of a tiny dumb bomb dropped by drone on a IDF Merkava. Suspect the occupants thought they were hit by children throwing rocks. Only 1 of Merkava’s added to running tally which now stands at 178 knocked out.
Most significant are the reported attacks outside the Gaza fence and beyond the 800mtr kill zone. A handful of sites attacked.
And now a view from the other side of the hill – this is the Pro-Genocide ISW site which has a running scroll of IDF military claims. Interesting to compare the 2 :

Might already have been posted. If not we know b, can’t write about it but the great Craig Murray can and does. A powerful read , that shows the fascist Le of Europe stopping entry to a surgeon from Scotland who has first hand experience of the genocide in Gaza. France and Holland stopping him entering too – so much for the ‘freedoms’ of the EU they only apply if you are a supporter of the ziofascist entity and it’s imperialist dogs.
Mr Murray writes:
“ The endgame remains the processing of the remaining Palestinian population out of Gaza through the US-controlled points of the Rafah crossing and the floating harbour, primarily into camps in the Sinai desert. The Western powers are doubling down on their genocide and on their colonial project.
I see nothing whatsoever that indicates they can have any other long-term objective in mind than the complete Israeli annexation of Gaza minus its civilian population. What do you see?”

I haven’t seen anything but that for years and certainly after this last campaign born out of the fascists failure in the ukraine. The students are being used to divert the eyeballs to their campuses instead of the death camps of Palestine. Yet in the darkness shineth the Everlasting Light
The little town of Bethlehem has Palestinian refugee camp
1 O little town of Bethlehem,
how still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
the everlasting light;
the hopes and fears of all the years
are met in thee tonight.
2 For Christ is born of Mary;
and, gathered all above,
while mortals sleep, the angels keep
their watch of wond’ring love.
O morning stars, together
proclaim the holy birth,
and praises sing to God the King,
and peace to men on earth.
3 How silently, how silently,
the wondrous gift is giv’n!
So God imparts to human hearts
the blessings of His heav’n.
No ear may hear His coming,
but in this world of sin,
where meek souls will receive Him still,
the dear Christ enters in.
4 O holy Child of Bethlehem,
descend to us, we pray;
cast out our sin and enter in;
be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels,
the great glad tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us,
our Lord Emmanuel!

Watching Lindsay’s panic when addressing Austin, and prior to the Hiroshima nonsense, he mentioned how Israel was being flanked (my words) by axis of resistance. In listening to Crooke on Nap, it’s obvious Lindsay gets Israel is in existential fight existence.
Graham et el believe they can just bomb their way out of the ending of Zionism. It’s not about Gaza. They understand the ending of Zionist apartheid rule is upon them. That Israel, should it lose this war, will become a secular one state that the Israelis have no special privileges in the Middle East any more.
Graham et el are stuck in the colonist imperialist tactic of bombing the world into submission to maintain status quo.
Crooke, in his assessment believes their is a regional agreement across the ME that no State actor wants to widen war, or have a nation state bombed to smithereens again, so allows the resistance axis to control the tempo of escalation.
It may account for Egypt inaction at corridor, or Egypt ICJ “threat” or a number of regional moves. The action of resistance groups to eventually break Zionist project, making entire region safer. Obviously the Arab US controlled states are happy to continue business, are fine with Israel as Nation State, but all do seem to be aboard in ending Zionist project.
I personally don’t see any way this doesn’t escalate, beginning with the bombing of Beirut to smithereens again, but it does appear a more likely response will be the continuation of attrition by resistance axis for many more months. And with it, more genocide as is the nature of Israel/US Anglo Saxon world anyways.
I’m saying I understand now why the response will be within resistance axis, as Nation States are sick and tired of having to rebuild their bombed out cities and infrastructure after Americans “defend” whatever. Even if it became the War if the Century and they got US out, they’d all end up with wrecked economies, wrecked infrastructure & bombed buildings everywhere.
Attriting Israel, and international moves may take many more months, but the goal is ending Zionist project/political motivation & forcing nation state compliance ending rogue regime.
This is becoming a very unpopular war in U.S. as well as EU. Graham et el will find little support for their scorched earth ME Iran goals.

What would Netanyahu do without Hamas? I mean Hamas “leadership” which is safely ensconced in Qatar.
Why can the Hamas in Qatar decide the fate of Palestinians in Gaza?
We know that Israel can successfully pinpoint locations of leadership and assassinate them as they wish and have done.
This article is about a book written by an Israeli, how Hamas is used by Netanyahu, Hamas leadership needed Netanyahu?
How Israel is in denial of what they’ve done to Palestinians, how Netanyahu stoked the hatred more, what a sick violent society Israel is:

A Disturbing New Book About Netanyahu’s Relationship With Hamas
Author Adam Raz explains how an argument with his mom led him to write ‘The Road to October 7.’
On the day of the horrific events of October 7, Israeli political historian and author Adam Raz had a big fight with his mother. A longtime leftist and devoted Meretz voter, she surprised him with her harsh reaction. “She said: ‘They should pour gasoline all over Gaza and blow it up,'” recounts Raz, whose work deals with political theory, the Israeli-Arab conflict and the nuclear arms race. “I realized that I needed to delve into the psyche that made even left-wing Israelis think this way.”

Raz goes so far as to say that “October 7 was a calculated risk on behalf of both Netanyahu and Hamas,” using the words of Hamas’ Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar. In 2022, it was revealed that Sinwar sent Netanyahu a cryptic note that read “calculated risk” in Hebrew. “I’m not saying October 7 was a conspirative event – neither side thought October 7 was going to be such a huge massacre. But prior to that, both Hamas and Netanyahu were losing their power.

And being an Israeli and a Jew right now means being isolated and unwanted. We will not be able to extend a hand to our neighbors without firstly recognizing what we have done. We didn’t face either ’67 or ’48, yet in this war we already killed more people. And I haven’t even mentioned internal Israeli issues. We’re turning into a kind of Bosnia after the war: a society with a huge number of uneducated people, violent and polarized. Unless we tackle these issues, it will be very hard to be optimistic, even once Netanyahu and his mob government are gone.”

Key quotes from the Guardian Article linked above:
The parents of more than 900 Israeli soldiers deployed in Gaza have signed a letter urging the military to call off its ongoing offensive in Rafah, calling it a “deadly trap” for their children……
….. “Our sons are physically and mentally exhausted,” adds the letter, addressed to the defence minister, Yoav Gallant, and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) chief of staff, Lt Gen Herzi Halevi. “And now, you intend to send them into this perilous situation? … This appears to be nothing short of recklessness.”….
…. “Rafah is a death trap,” said Anat, the mother of an Israeli special forces soldier deployed in Gaza. “Hamas had a lot of time to prepare the place for the killing of our soldiers. We are very concerned and worried.”…..
……“Our apprehensions have materialised as we witness the military withdrawing promptly from an area, only for Hamas to swiftly regain control over it,” Anat said……
….. Idit, the mother of an Israeli commander, said: “My son sent me a message on WhatsApp a few minutes ago. They are on the move to Rafah, he told me. And I’m terrified

All of this has me thinking about farcical US electoral politics. Biden has likely lost any youth vote in swing states. All Trump had to do to ensure an initially controversy free win in November was tone down or just shut up about Israel but he doubled and then tripled down with pro Zionist rhetoric. So he can probably forget about any switch up younger voters this time too.

My other half just told MIT divest and we will talk. We are also talking about doing the same with our Basketball tickets. At our university the one and only way you could get them to divest would be if the community and state ticket holders in mass said no season tickets till you divest! I do not feel I can do much but it felt so good when my other half sent that note! It also made me feel good when we brought a passive amount of Pizza to our encampment, unfortunately I cannot afford to do that again but organize with some other old farts of mine to bring food 1 time a week is my next goal.

An important issue brought out by Crooke is how much the image of Israel has transitioned into that of a colonial-settler state. A state that is that will necessarily come to an end, like the French in Algeria. Of course it always was, but didn’t seem so.

I am so delighted to read your post. If it wasn’t so wildly improper, I’d give you a great big hug.
🙂

The Axis is winning the PR battle. It would be counterproductive to attack civilians. Hamas and Hezbollah are not as deranged as the West is.

Francescans in the Holy Land
Daily Prayer for the Dying
O most merciful Jesus, Lover of souls, I pray Thee by the agony of Thy most Sacred Heart, and by the sorrows of Your Blessed Mother, cleanse in Thy Blood the sinners of the whole world who are now in their agony and are to die this day. Amen.
Agonizing Heart of Jesus, have mercy on the dying.

Sayyed Nasrallah to Israelis: To return North, end war on Gaza
Sayyed Nasrallah underlines that the continuation of the Lebanese Resistance’s operations and the Gaza front is “a settled matter not open for discussion.”

I’m wondering if, after the failed pre-Rafah-invasion ceasefire attempt, Biden is now boxed in like he is in Ukraine. Can’t have Israel lose and look like it is his fault, can’t put boots on the ground, has to keep an unwinnable war going until November while pretending to care.

The IDF is simply outmatched.

Perhaps. They have soul sickness from the crushingly depraved actions they have participated in. Somewhere in each now festers a deep shame at their cowardice and inhumanity. These monsters can bluster but you can only shoot so many children before it changes you. There simply aren’t enough active duty psychopaths, even in the IDF, the army of war criminals. Any military unit assigned to police duty has its combat ability degraded by this kind of corruption. Meanwhile they fight those protecting their people, elders, children – to their dying breath.
The people of Palestine are being slaughtered by an inhuman regime actively aided and abetted by the West. Everyone is Palestinian now, you just don’t know it yet. As Caitlin Johnstone said, that beacon of clear thought, in a time where opposing genocide is seen as radical, radicalism is a moral imperative. Unlike our thrice fucked selves, the youth know this instinctively.

Music to my ears.
I hope these families are forever haunted by loss, and more literally, by their maimed sociopathic offspring.

With all due respect — because I usually love your comments without reservation — rather than worry about the pricks of conscience those monsters might suffer someday, I’d much rather they be mowed down today. Potential PTSD problem solved!

The IDF is incompetent and weak without introducing a moral dimension to the analysis. That they are wrong and psychopathic only amplifies their ineffectiveness.
These are not martial people with discipline or genuine esprit de corps which may be a byproduct of being from an ideology (Zionism) lacking in honor. These are the lazy cousins who never bothered to study or work complaining that they can’t get a good job and that everything they have to pay for is “oppressive”.
If not for their capture of Anglo-American politicians and all of the welfare they can extract (when they are not stealing technology), Israel would be a third-world country.

Northern Front SitRep
https://english.almanar.com.lb/2107789
Comment – Hezbollah claims to have developed a new heavy rocket which is deployed. SitRep is usual listing of rocket & drone attacks on various IDF positions and barracks. A Merkava claimed to be hit. 2 high production value videos.
Something of note:
At 13:00, the Islamic Resistance fighters set up a fiery ambush against a force of enemy soldiers. Upon reaching the ambush point west of Branit Barracks, the fighters targeted them with rocket weapons and artillery shells, causing confirmed injuries.
This seems to be a raid inside ‘Israel’ – anyone verify ?

“Upward of 20 American doctors are trapped at the European Hospital in Gaza, facing extreme dehydration, at least one is on an IV drip. This is a developing situation…”

plus another UN car has been hit by something bigger than an Hamas owned weapon. Why?
***
I see that someone at the beginning of the thread was saying that the Israelis should move to the East. Why would “the east” want them, as they are incapable of doing anything for the common good?

UN seemingly halves estimate of Gazan women, children killed
The UN also highlighted that the plurality of identified fatalities were men (40%), while children were (32%) and women (20%).
